M. M.Set in a quiet part of Chelsea, you would never guess such a great place awaits you behind the entry doors. Super delicious foods (especially sliders: try all of them!!) and interesting wine list. Will be back surely !!
P. J.Visiting today for lunch we arrived just prior to closing, which could actually be our own fault for ruining the meal. As always their food quality makes Dinings one of the most exceptional sushi restaurants in London (possibly nearly on a par with Umu). Having eaten here on numerous occasions and also regularly receiving their deliveries, we can vouch that their food is exceptional.

Dinings is not your authentic sushi-ya but for whatever they dish out, it was the best it could be. I’m not a fan of Nobu, but I would be very happy to come back to Dinings again and again for their fresh seafood and red shari. Even their normal white Shari that they serve to go with some cooked dishes was so well cooked I could eat bowls and bowls of it. I love the crispy rice with tuna. We had their fattiest tuna belly nigiri, the glistening fat was glorious. The mixed sashimi set was fresh and beautifully presented. We were recommended the wagyu mini burgers that I was not so sure about but when I bit into it the charred flavour blew me away! The Aubergine was done so well; silky, juicy and umami, I would have been happy just eating that with the sushi rice as a meal. The Asian me was very happy with this meal and the place was classy and nice as well. A good place for business and group gatherings!

We had complimentary drinks on arrival it was a sour gimlet I think which was a good start! We sat in the outdoor seating area. I recommend the wagyu sliders and the miso cherry sour as a cocktail

Rodrigo (one of the sushi chefs) was super friendly, told us lots about sushi and all of his favourite things to eat from the menu. Our waitress and the hostess were also very accomodating. If you love sushi, this is not a place to miss out on!

I only gave 4 stars and not 5 because the sushi taste was so flat, nothing special about it and honestly if I had patience for the uncomfortable conversation of returning a dish I would have returned both sushi dishes we had. Service was also a bit off when the place got full, this level of Michelin star places should be a bit better (my water glass shouldn't be empty for half of my visit for example).
All the rest of the food was great, even amazing, but these places with this pricing have to be perfect.

Interesting menu and wagyu mini burger, crispy rice, agedashi tofu, and lobster maki were great. Tacos were disappointing though and sushi in general wasn’t at the top of its game. So for £270 for two people (including 5 drinks total) it’s hard to give a top rating here as there are other Japanese restaurants in London that are just as good but at a smaller price tag. It’s quietly a swanky place and is stylish etc. but I wouldn’t class this as a sushi foodie’s restaurant - it’s more for a fancy sushi place more similar to sushi samba, Zuma, sexy fish etc. Not in the same Japanese restaurant league as the likes of sushi tetsu, Endo at rotunda, takahashi (South Wimbledon), Ikeda. Still an enjoyable meal overall. 15/20
P. W.There was a lot of choices in the menu, we just couldn't decide on what we want to eat, so we picked the tasting menu. It was a good meal, sushi was tasty and fresh. One dish we are not sure of is the gem lettuce salad, apparently it's one of the signature dishes, we just not sure how and why.

J. W.First time here, a friend of ours recommended the place and I must say, it was excellent, service and food was beautifully executed, we were served by Natasha Gomes, and not only she made our stay feel like a memorable moment, but she really made sure we would come back.
We had some hot and cold food, the sushi and rolls were amazing, the sushi is so fresh and premium that you genially feel the sensation that it's just melting in your mouth.

P. K.Almost perfect everything. The miso aubergine was already too sweet but well cooked apart from the strong sweetness. Little less caramelization would make it perfect. The agedashi dofu was wonderful, well balanced and tasty. Very impressive! The service was great. Music in the restaurant could be taken away, it was a bit unnecessary and restless.
V. G.Good quality overall, a few main ingredients are used across the menu - like spicy tuna and Scottish Salmon.
Menu is not well arranged, all is priced by one piece with no clue on what it looks like and size. As a result sushi come extremely small so you have to just keep ordering not to feel hungry. I’d prefer to have sets and pictures so I can assess how many to order for a proper meal.
Sushi are served all together, so I had to look after my pieces at the other side of the table. Maybe works when you are a couple on a date but I’d prefer to be served individually.

The food and cocktails are incredible and the ambiance is buzzing. The only dish I wasn’t sold on was the fusion burger but aside from that the rest was outstanding.

From the mushroom soup too salty and cardboardy, to the cod just not melt-in-the-mouth as you would expect, and the nervy wagyu, the overall experience was average.

I read some criticism regarding the service, but I found it to be fine. It is true that a few tables are close to the kitchen door and the coming and going of the waiters could be annoying for some. I’d recommend sitting at the sushi bar or the mezzanine to avoid this problem.

A.One of my favourite restaurants in London, but consistency (food and service) is a problem depending on how busy they are on the day.
I've been visiting dinings for the some years now, and only recently tried SW3. To be honest, the first visit before Christmas 2018, was a real eye opener for myself, wife and friends. The food, in particular the sushi, was just simply amazing, the best I've tasted outside of Japan. Fish is always fresh, but on that evening, the rice was gently/lovingly warm and taste perfectly balanced.
Since then, I've visited 2 more times, and was disappointed on the overall taste of the sushi and service. The other dishes were consistently tasty throughout the times I've visited SW3, but when it came to the sushi and service, unfortunately, not so. This was a mix of cold rice and a very slow and poor service.
I do hope management read this review, as I still want to make this my favourite restaurant in London.

S.Good food but the experience is majorly let down by the awful service...I would have preferred to share my thoughts directly with management so that they could use it constructively to train staff but as I couldn't find a contact email on their site I felt Google was the next option (I also couldn't find this branch on Zomato...) Basically the service was not at all what you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber and for the eye-watering price. Staff are untrained, sloppy and simply do not engage with the clientele. We might as well have helped ourselves from a conveyor belt. After a lovely, warm welcome from the hostess that's where the service ended. We were seated at the bar to wait for our friends - the barmen who was pouring a drink directly opposite us didn't so much as give us an acknowledgment. Once seated at our table we didn't have a dedicated waiter but rather 5 different servers/ runners. Not one senior person popped by to find out whether we were happy and being well looked after. We weren't offered drinks - we had to ask if we could order. A lonely glass of champagne was bought to the table. Our friend waited politely for nearly ten minutes (letting her bubbles lose it's chill and fizz) until our wine arrived. I'm not sure whether the person pouring the wine was the sommelier (he only came to the table once) but the brand wasn't introduced, and my partner's wine glass was filled by an arm stretched across the table and in between myself and the person opposite me. The wine wasn't sufficiently chilled - I had to ask for ice and glasses weren't topped up regularly. First dish was served - the waitress spilled some of the accompanying sauce over the platter but still placed the dish down on the table (The chefs I know would be horrified). Dishes (and there were several of them) weren't introduced - simply plonked on the table - we had to ask what they were. We informed the one waiter that we had a non-fish eater - they made a 'special' dish for him but he had to sit watching the rest of the party eat our way through three dishes before they brought him his tofu and truffle dish. I understand that the dishes come out one-by-one but when I was a waitress I would have ensured that they pushed through the special request ahead of some of the other dishes to ensure that everyone was eating together. A nice touch was being offered complimentary treats at the end of the meal but the waitress realised that they hadn't included enough items for the whole party so she popped off to grab some extras and simply added them to the presentation box. From an aesthetic and environmental perspective I would consider replacing the disposable wooden chopsticks with beautiful, reusable ones...also some of the dishes such as soft tofu and those with very thin slices are difficult to lift with chopsticks - I would plate these on flat, wide spoons would make them more elegant/ enjoyable to eat. I see that the original Marylebone branch is much loved.... I would suggest giving this franchise some attention.

We were here with a friend last night and I had high hopes. It was pretty bland unfortunately, despite the high-end and (very) high-priced indgredients. What did it for me though was finding out the next day that they also still serve the fattened and diseased livers of ducks purposely force-fed through pipes down their throats ("foie gras"). Didn't think of writing a review originally but...
