My love, two friends and I came to lunch at DNR17 on Friday 7th December. What a find! Cosy and friendly, good atmosphere and super food (especially the combination brioche and mezes) which has gone to the top of my list for restaurant options!! We will definitely be returning- thank you to all the staff. Hope we weren’t too noisy :)

Never too quick to rate a place I've given DNR17 a few visits. NEVER disappointed is all I can say. Food has flavour, you can eat in and it's priced well. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The seating is clean spacious and they have toilet facilities. Oh and did I mention the cheese filled onion rings?

You want a good kebab? You want a nice atmosphere? This is the place! More than just a donner on the menu, this place has a lot of different things to offer. Lovely atmosphere inside the shop, one where you can feel you can sit and enjoy your food. They do good milkshakes too!

Fantastic Food, very delicious and I must admit very clean place. They serve 100% halal meat (No stunning). Friendly staff beautiful decor. You can take your family for a nice meal and make sure you buy Oreo Milkshake my kids loved it. Keep it up guys! Wish you luck.

New place just been refurbished again. Interior is great, fresh and bright. Staff are very friendly. Food is delicious, salad is fresh, place is VERY CLEAN, which you definitely want from an eatery. Rated 3☆ because I personally feel that this is just an overpriced pretty kebab shop. Food is amazing, but there isn't much of a selection. **(maybe because it's new)** The kebab in a brioche bun is a nice idea, the fact that their milkshakes are made with real icecream are all the better. Great for a quick bite when you're hungry. I'd come here just for the milkshakes, maybe that could be a bigger menu in itself?

Love this place, little confused as to why some other reviews talk about pricing, I found the pricing to be extremely reasonable especially when you factor in what is in included for the prices and the quality of food. I'd also happily pay a standard price that comes with good service. Staff have a smile on their faces and you can tell they're clean and look after the conditions, as opposed to other greasy run down kebab shops I've been to. I paid £7.95 for a large donner kebab meal, served with chips, fresh salad, pitta bread and a drink. Other kebab shops charge about £7 just a donner and bread ! I return here weekly and the kids also love the kids menu !

On the way home from work with kids wanted something healthy. food was not oily even though it was grilled and very fresh salads. AM not one to eat rice that I have not cooked myself but was overwhelmingly Happy 😋🍚🤓with the chicken wings and rice to taste and Kids loved it. The mixed chicken and doner kabab was delicious with the creamy gallic sauce and and redbird mild sauce.. This is definitely not just take away but fine dinning to go.. The place is lovely to sit and eat with the family as well. Service is perfect and a mixed clientel and both Male and female Chefs. 😘👌❤️

I never eat doner meat usually but these guys actually use quality meat compared to the stuff we're usually served elsewhere after a night out. Old review further below. Downgraded from 5 to 3 stars based on my experiences recently and in particular this evening. The food is still excellent but standards are slipping. I have been coming here since the first week they opened regularly and the difference is noticeable. Sauces are often missed out of orders altogether or the wrong one is provided. Sometimes you get napkins and condiments and other times you don't with no rhyme or reason to it. Drinks used to be blatantly watered down but rather than fix that problem it's cans only now. Today I ordered food to take away at 6:20pm with no one else in the queue. After 5 other orders were cooked and bagged up in front of me, for 2 customers and 3 delivery drivers, all of whom arrived after me, I asked where my food was and was told they forgot my order. They made it in record time but unbelievably still got one of the sauces wrong, a full 25 minutes after I had paid. Maybe next time I'll stand up right in front of the counter and watch their every move while my food is being prepared like the other customers did, as sitting down at a table right opposite the staff sure as hell didn't have any effect tonight. No apology from the lady who served me although one of the gentlemen apologised. Service seems to be noticeably worse when the brothers / owners aren't working as was the case yet again this evening. Hopefully tonight's experience was a one off but DNR17 is in danger of becoming one of those restaurants who forget about their real customers as soon as Deliveroo or Just Eat walk through the door. Service differs depending on who serves you. Overall, the experience of eating here has got worse as a result. *************************************************************************** Absolutely top drawer kebabs and everything else, a family business run by two very friendly gentlemen, there is no better kebab in E17 full stop and that includes Gokyuzu. The only two other things I would add are I hope the opening hours are extended in the near future and I wish the boys who run the place all the best and every success.

By far the best kebab I've ever had! Prices are really worth it and would highly recommend to anyone. It's not just kebabs they have which I like as it's more diverse and the food quality is amazing! Very friendly staff and very clean and calm environment!!

Came here earlier. Saw the prices, £5.95 for a stand alone kebab and £7.95 for the meal to include chips & drink. I'd like to think this is somewhat overpriced, similar to the kebab shops which win Best Kebab Awards of London. The quality of the meat isn't as prime as other kebab places, it's evident in the texture, it breaks easily. Compare it to Award Winning 'Best Turkish Kebab' , 'Super Kebab' or even 'Archway Kebab' and you'll get what I mean, it simply isn't on par with the big boys and yet it's priced similar to them. I'm not gonna describe in more detail, I'll leave that upto you to test for yourself. I had ice cream from here, which was a very welcome addition for a kebab shop, to cool us down from the hot food. Even offer Milkshakes. I love the concept of this business. The interior design isn't to be reflective of traditional Turkish Ottoman style, but rather contemporary, to better suit the modern generation, afterall this is more of an eatery than fine dining. Would I come here again ? Probably not, I already know the best spots in & around London, after extensive research and trying out myself. What I would recommend is, providing another size, maybe a small for £5 and keeping the large for £5.95 I've given it 3 stars because I feel its a £1 more than it deserves, for what you get. I hear alot of owners of businesses saying "our prices reflect the prime ingredients we use use" to justify comparatively high prices but we as customers are not oblivious to such things, we're old enough to be able to taste the difference and know the difference and unfortunately that cannot cannot be made here. Review update 15th September 2019 Writing this as a response to the response of this business. Like how I mentioned in my original review, the same rhetoric always being used; prime meat, top quality ingredients and so on, it's becoming a generic excuse used by alot of businesses to justify higher prices. And you mentioned most of your reviews being 5 stars. However the credibility of all reviews can be subjective, how many of them tried kebabsgfrom other Award Winning businesses ? Some describe your business as the "Best in London", but have they tried all the kebab shops in London to be making such a claim ? If you feel it's unfair that I've given you a 3 star rating, it's because I compared your business to other businesses of the same price and unfortunately you fall short. If you were priced lower than my review would have been based on what you get for that amount and compared to others of a similar price. ie I would have most probably given you a 5 star rating if you were a £1 less.

Best Turkish Food in Waltham Forest by a mile and the Shop is beautiful I highly recommend as its a great place to eat with a great food and and a lovely eating area.
