A. M.We were strolling through Crouch End and came across this new place. First thing that I've noticed was the decor (love it) and then looking at the menu I didn't realized at first that it was all vegan (fast) food! So we didn't think twice and let me tell you.. I'm glad that we decided to give it a try. Best fast food that I've tasted in years! And if you like Kimchi.. I highly recommend the Kimchi fries with Miso mayonnaise 😁 Also I had the "Dopple" burger and my boyfriend the "This is not Bob" - DELICIOUS! Staff was super friendly and really helpful. We'll definitely go back again and take all my non veggie friends there!

I had the Chirpy while my friend had the Primavera burger + quack fries. Decor is reminiscent of the 80s - But in a good way! - and price are reasonable. I will definitely go back. Only note of improvement maybe it the aeration system.
m. B.These are the nicest vegan burgers I've eaten! They make their own sauces for them and they are generous in size. I sometimes order the Byron vegan burgers on Deliveroo, but these are so much better! I see that your Cambridge branch delivers, so hopefully soon.. The staff are lovely, and they have decorated in a quirky style:)
M. M.I don’t think I have ever had a vegan burger that was this tasty before…having been a non-meat eater for so long I have no idea if this is a good approximation of a dirty burger or not, but my meat eating friends seemed very impressed.

C. C.Reviewing Doppleganger favourably as Id like them to succeed and grow well, but giving some of the feedback that I think they need before they deserve 4+*. Plus theyve only just opened a few weeks ago so I can be generous.
Decor is great and the place feels fun/light/friendly/... but the benches are a little unconfortable after a while.
Service is good and friendly, but let all customers on a table finish before trying to remove the plates.
The app and ordering system is gimmicky but not particularly useful. The text descriptions on burgers appear in tiny boxes requiring a few clicks so you cant easily read it without scrolling within sub windows, and there are no prices displayed on this page for some reason - you need to jump back and forth by clicking tiny buttons. The descriptions are quite wordy and with no layout/formatting so its actually quite hard to work out what is in each burger. (e.g. "BBQ Jackfruit, mushroom and gouda" is semi useful when choosing between lots of options, rather than "one of our most popular burgers with slow cooked jackfruit carefully marinated in homemade BBQ sauce, with a roast Portobello mushroom layered on top...topped with a double dose of gouda cheese" - its not quite this bad but you get the idea).
Generally the food is decent, but very gooey with tons of creamy mayo like toppings making you feel really unhealthy (also quite salty and I like salt). The loaded fries are large so burger plus loaded fries is a massive portion for 1 - didnt know this as no easy ability to ask anybody due to digital ordering. The burgers are tasty enough but feel a little unrefined, I think they could reduce choice a little and max out the flavours. Was ok but not a special burger and felt bloated for a good few hours afterwards.
Love the no waste concept and think they can be great, but with a good few improvement opportunities.

D. G.PLANT BASED BURGERS LIKE NO OTHER BEFORE
Just been to the newly opened Crouch End Branch. I have had several plant-based burgers before but these ones were more wholesome (i.e used more real plants) than the cheaply processed burgers available elsewhere. The fact they used so many fresh ingredients makes it wholesome and you don't have the processed food feeling afterwards.
This company is trying to make a real difference to the world changing it habits of being hooked onto unhealthy processed burger food. We all really enjoyed the healthy 'Quack' and 'Jack' fries and will be back to try their smoothies and deserts.
It's true what they say PLANTS NOT JUNK food restaurant

J.Burgers are good, although Ubereats forced us to buy two for one each lol.
Had the Ends and the Hot Kimchi one and aside from the intense acidic taste from the tomato sauce, burgered we're good although the prices were a little extortionate got a takeaway.
If you fancy something more than your usual McDonald's veggie burger, go here.
Just don't buy the Pizza chips. The ratio of chips to olives and tomato/pesto was probably 1:1
R. B.Delicious vegan food, wonderful staff, amazing decor - head to Doppleganger now so that you can feel very smug when you tell everyone else about it.
Loaded fries are a highlight, and you must try a cake shake!
