Adana has lots of flavours that come through. I ordered a take away this time. I have in the past sat in the restaurant. Always enjoy complimentary bread and dips, and Turkish tea at the end. Bread is provided in take away, they also gave dessert which is on the house every time you order take away, basic dessert and nothing special. I asked for bulgar instead of rice, which could have been tastier. Customer service is good and interior is beautiful. I especially like the pickled jars near the windows for decoration.

We had just come from Stepney City farm. I saw this restaurant when we came from the station. We entered it was empty and had two on the floor. The food was ok but what we didnt like that at the end a 10% service charge was added to the bill. If service was worth 10% then i dont mind but this just opens a bigger debate of staff knowing the service charge is on the bill so they dont have to put anything into the service and this was our experience. Definitely not a restaurant we will easily go back to.

This place is an amazing Turkish restaurant and definitely worth the hype it gets. The restaurant was very busy when I went but the staff members still made time for my family and made sure we had a pleasant experience. The food was on the pricier side but I guess you’re paying for higher quality food. The food is tasty and amazing. The chops and wings are juicy. The kebab is so flavourful. They have a huge selection of starters for free before the actual meal. The platter was massive and look amazing. The side portions are decent not too small but not massive. The staff members are lovely and check on you to see if you need anything, they even sang to my mum as it was her birthday.

The food is excellent! Staff are really nice. We were offered complimentary salad and bread while waiting for our food which came without too much of a wait. Used to be much more reasonably priced. But have recently increased the prices while the quality of food has decreased in this specific location, if you want better quality of food visit the Bricklane Efes one, also keep in mind you'll need cash as most of them don't accept card. Other than that I would say its a nice place overall.

The food was lovely and good size portions. A little more expensive than others but it was a better quality so to be expected. The iskender was delicious and the turkish tea is always a bonus. Better off going here than the chicken shops next door!

Very expensive for bland food. Not the Turkish food I was expecting. Table service is a nightmare. Took forever for the food to come out and when it did it was cold. A platter does not have enough to feed the advertised amount. One waiter staring constantly at our table.which made it very uncomfortable to eat. I usually go to the one that is on the corner of Brick lane but we decided to come to this one for a change. In total there were 15 in total and we were seated according to the guidelines, The food itself was above average but nothing to shout about, the service was excellent and attentive. The food was lovely but the service charge was too expensive. The sad thing is that they charged for the Turkish tea, this is first time I’ve seen anything like this because in every single other restaurant the Turkish tea is free. I spent £100 on food and they didn’t even offer free tea. They added service charge but when I told them to remove it they did but instead they added a bill for the Turkish tea. I payed £2 per cup. It made me really upset.

I absolutely loved this place. The waiters were really nice and really took care of us through our visit there. As soon as you take a seat, you'll get a free salad to start with, then your order. The prices are Okay, the plate that i ordered in the picture was 12.5 pounds i think, but the food was Great and fulfilling. The music was nice and we were served tea by the end. Pretty Average A very comfortable, beautifully decorated Turkish restaurant in Whitechapel. We were shown, promptly, to a lovely table. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Our meal arrived reasonably quickly. I ordered a lamb beyti, my friend- lamb ribs. Both were delicious. However, the portion size was most disappointing. Very little meat, just a dash of rice & 1 grilled tomato! The shared salad was also miniscule. Not good value for the cost of the meal...... My advice- don't arrive at Efes hungry!

Efes is a very recognised brand in East London, however, I had never been there! Went for a meal with 3 friends and ordered the big platter, I think around £60! More than enough food to go round for 4 big lads. Go easy on bread and salad (complimentary starters) otherwise you'll struggle with the main food :-)

I went to Efes with family. Efes is one of the local Turkish restaurants in Tower Hamlets. The food is good, the prices are fair and the service is great too. I highly recommend Kunafe for dessert, it’s worth the 10 minute wait.

Been meaning to try this place for a while as I've seen a few posts on social media. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the manager with a really warm welcome. He helped us with the menu. The food was lovely. We had starters and main course and I just wish we had room for dessert but we were too full. I can't find any faults with this place. Food, service and atmosphere were great. It's a little gem and while in there, you feel a million miles away from Hanley. It felt like we were on holiday! Will definitely return and can highly recommend.

Had Xmas meal with work colleagues. Restaurant is clean. Staff were just ok. It seemed like they were quite forgetful at times . One colleague had a bad experience as the menu was not clear on the dish he chose and when he tried to return it, the staff/manager got slightly rude and started swearing in his native language, which my colleague understood but didn't want to make a big deal about it as we were in uniform. Have to add that the prices are overly expensive. Coke is £2.50, add 9n top of that service charge. Basically, whatever dish you order, add another £6-7 on the total.However, the portion size (at least for what I ordered) was very good. I wouldn't go there again but definitely try it if you have never been there. Food is not that bad. Can't say the same about the service or prices though.

Service has declined although good food. The restaurant was not participating in the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme and they did not offer a reason why. It was an incredibly hot August evening and they did not provide tap water until we requested it half way through the meal. The 'manager' may have the right intentions but his customer service is poor, the other staff are friendly.

Took a friend to Efes for dinner and over all it was a good experience. We ordered a soups and lamb Iskender Kebabs which is my favourite Turkish food. We also ordered a lemon drink as due to my surprise they didn’t have mojito on that day. 🥴 After a wait of about 20 mins the food arrived. The coup was nice creamy but I felt it was slightly thicker than normal. The Iskender Kebab was good, the taste of the meat was great, the size of the meat slice was thicker than what you get in Turkey which is good. But we felt that there was slightly too much oil used. Perhaps more butter would have been better. The taste with butter is just awesome like it’s served in many places in istanbul. Overall it was a good experience but I think the price was slightly on the higher end. Will recommend for sure!!

Part of a small, successful chain, this spotlessly clean corner restaurant is always busy., and with good reason. The high quality fresh ingredients are cooked to order to make many varied traditional Turkish and Mediterranean standard dishes, Not ambitious haute cuisine, just good, decent well cooked food. Alcohol not served but you can bring your own (corkage £1 per person). Great service and very reasonable prices. Recommended.

Another great meal from efes, even better because they automatically apply a 15% discount on your order, plus I was able to call the shop to request something on my order, which was no problem for them,. Only problem was the deliveroo driver couldn't find my flat. Not Efes fault.

Lovely food which you can see being cooked. Prices are very reasonable. You can book tables for large groups to ensure a table but you don't have to. Portion sizes quite large. Only grumble is that last time I went it took a long time to get service at our table and it wasn't even busy!

I used to visit Efes a lot previously but recently the quality has dropped slightly and also the portions are quite small now. The chicken is very dry and the meat doesn't have much flavour, especially the ribs. But i love their chocolate baklava and would defo recommend people to try it for dessert.

Great chicken shish with rice. The food came quickly and the service was great. The rice was fresh and delicious with a basic, but fresh, salad. The server even picked up on our conversation about how hungry we were and ensured there was extra warm bread on the table while we were ordering our mains. The Efe's beer is worth a try, a nice honey-based beer which my friends spoke highly of. Be sure to try the Pides as well. The only disappointed was in their flexibility. I had wanted to have some doner lamb meat added to my chicken shish order, at whatever additional cost that would entail, and was told that I would need to order doner separately and as a take-out. This just seemed strange to me and an awfully expensive way of going about adding a little extra meat. It was also surprising that they could not just charge it as a mixed kebab or something similar. These expressions of inflexibility which can make someones meal that extra bit special always disappoint me but overall it was a great meal.

I liked the food, the chicken donner was very nice and I will definitely get it in the future, not so much the lamb donner and the salad was half onions with a little bit of cabbage and a couple of slices of cucumber and a little bit of tomatoes and some lettuce. The bread was really nice and I liked the yogurt dipping , the chilli was too hot for my taste but my husband enjoyed it. The music it's way too loud, like clubbing loud, we had to shout even we were sitting 10 cm apart. The staff was friendly, the food was good we were a little bit put off by the loud music but we'll return in the future.

Consistently excellent. We often get a takeaway from the Canning Town branch, which is good, but having a sit-down meal here take it to a different level. I can particularly recommend the Adana kebabs and the lamb ribs. We will most certainly be going back.

Efes is an incredible place. I don't really know where to start with this review. Firstly the staff truly are what make the experience here. Secondly the food is always perfect. Just got back from this place. Felt I needed to leave a review after a disappointing dinner. Ordered a cold meze and mixed shish. Cold meze did not come with bread so we asked for it and they give us one plate of bread that will need to enough for the meze platter. The mixed sheesh was disappointing, flavor was lackluster. Did not taste very good and portions were tiny. We regretted going there, we normally drive to Hala in N4 1LG, portions are very generous and tastes very good. Hala has Turkish customers and authentic food. Efes caters for majority non-Turkish people selling rubbish food.

Turkish family visiting on a quite weekday. 1. Tap water took 10mins to arrive as the three waiters were busy talking, how long does it take to turn on a tap? 2. Food was ok, Pide hardly had meat in it, compared to the Efes we normally go to in commercial road. 3. Had the cheek to charge service charge, why so in an area like Stepney? We didn't pay it. 4. Tea was bitter. The only positive we found was the tall Eastern European waitress who was amazing, if the whole restaurant was run by more of her, it would be a great place. Message to the Efes group owners, when you expand, try and maintain the quality of food and staff.

Firm favourite, always consistent and good, the Stepney green branch has a pretty good wait staff especially the blonde girl, I turned up with about 15 people in tow without a reservation, (post capoeira event) she managed to seat us all and manage separate billing as well as being an attentive host, I'd give them 5 stars just for her skills as serving staff but the food is also very good, I would recommend.
