R. B.A great place to eat. High quality and tasty meats, which keep coming. The salad bar is topped up, is clean and fresh. You have complimentary chips with a nice touch.
There is a range of drinks and desserts which are not part of the fixed menu.
Price wise you get what you pay for and and a service charge is added to the bill. The service is exemplary and the staff happy and talkative.
If you’re looking for a nice place for a big meal, this is a safe choice.

N. A.First time at El Vaquero, food was very very good loved the service. All the servers are very attentive. Atmosphere was brilliant too and for any Muslims it's halal !!
Plenty of vegetarian options too, buffet is very reasonably priced and has options for pretty much everyone. If you like fish then you must book in advance
Try it out you won't regret it.
L. S.I have to say it was a small place, but nice. Is self-service while different meats come and are served at your table. The price I find expensive (£30 p/person and no drinks are included). If you are there to celebrate a birthday they come at your table with a small pancake and sing you the birthday song, which is quite interesting.
M. S.An amazing place to eat great value for money and quality of food and service truly amazing. I would recommend this to anyone especially for birthdays and dining out. The manager is wonderful and has a team of very caring staff. The best so far for me eating in North London its worth the visit and please try the chicken and lamb dishes very tasty with exceptional customer service and ambient atmosphere.
B. A.We had a group booking and I can’t fault the staff or the experience. Meats were good - salad bar all tasty; could have more of a choice if I compare to Rodizio in Angel but what was there was good.
The only downside is that it’s £25.99 for children aged over 4! That is very steep for younger kids who definitely don’t eat that much considering the adults price is £30. For families this can quickly add up and the team should rethink their pricing for kids.
J. M.Let's be honest, the meat IS as good as everyone says. Great choice, plentiful and good service. The experience is let down a little by the salad cart experience. It feels like a relic of pre covid days and although there is some good stuff on there (loved the fried aubergine),there can be a real lack of simple fresh basics (no lettuce or tomato?)

A. K.Visited today with my family and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We had kids in our group and I have to say the staff were absolutely wonderful with them- they really went out their way to entertain them, especially one of the waitresses and Sabur. The service was exceptional! I'd definitely recommend this place!
F. E.Was at this Whetstone branch on Easter Sunday 2022 for a big family gathering. The staff delivered an exceptional service. Salad bar was fab, especially the plantain :) There was a steady flow of superb meats to our table. Staff catered to our needs with a smile and a can do attitude. Big shout out to Galin and Izzy who made our time really enjoyable.
J. M.The food is nice, and I do always come away pleasantly stuffed. But, I can't rate it highly only because it has become, quite frankly, ridiculously expensive.
If money is no object then fill your boots, but it is certainly not somewhere I'll be returning to in a hurry.
