A place you can trust to cook it medium rare. Delicious steaks, burgers, sides, and delectable desserts. Particularly impressive drinks selection considering all are non alcoholic. Based on food alone this is easily a 4 or 5 star spot. Downsides are prices for some sides are quite steep and music can be horrifically loud to the point of not being able to communicate easily with anyone.

I was blown away by how friendly and wonderful the staff were. I went with my wife and daughter yesterday and the staff went above and beyond to keep my little girl smiling and entertained. She certainly enjoyed herself and we will definitely be coming again. A well decorated, spacious and clean restaurant with beautifully presented food and drinks. The creativity behind the names and presentation of the items has not gone unnoticed. Here you will see pictured some of the items we ordered including the mini truffle burgers (highly recommended), prawn tempura, wagyu sirloin steak, lamb shanks and chicken thigh steaks with disco chips. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her lamb shanks which came with mint mash potato and red cabbage which added to the unique flavours of the shank. The disco chips also had its own distinct salsa like flavour. The flavours in each meal were distinguishably different and we look forward to trying different ones when we go again. Huge thanks to the team at elvet for the outstanding hospitality!!

Nice food, excellent atmosphere. Looked after by the staff quite well. Parking can be tricky, so be ready to find somewhere random to park. I just wish it wasn't so expensive so I could go more often.

We had an amazing Birthday night at Elvet steak house; the food ; ambience and the service was more then excellent. Especially the service of the staff were remarkable, and of them one guy named Aziz was really brilliant . My husband brought me here on my birthday today and we had such an amazing experience. The staff really took care of us and the atmosphere was such a vibe. Biggie was our waiter and looked after us really well. He made some excellent recommendations as it was our first visit there. And they also gave me a nice surprise with dessert, a sparkler and a birthday song! My husband requested it beforehand and they went above and beyond. Absolutely would love to return again.

Arrived a bit later than scheduled. The team were very welcoming and kind. We were shown to our seats quickly and the waiter (named 'Biggie') was on the ball. Amazing food, nice decor and atmosphere. We were hosted by our server Biggie who was really attentive, very personable and very good customer service. We enjoyed every bite of the food. This is not a restaurant to sleep on!!! They have a very interesting menu choice with loads of quirky foods and my friend loved them for their steaks obviously. We've heard a lot about this place and decided go on my birthday. We ordered calamari as a starter and it was presented lovely, and it wasn't so bad, however i have had better tasting calamari elsewhere. We had wagyu sirloin and wagyu fillet for mains and for some reason it just didn't hit the mark for a very expensive cut of steak. The sides were quite awful, even the hand cut chips which was so upsetting because I love chips. Drinks were lovely. I dont even like red bull, but the red bull mocktail was quite nice.

Scroll down to see what we ordered including the price. Been to Elvet 3 times before. This was my 4th, but 1st time trying their new menu. What we thought: The new menu is beautiful, delicious, but not perfect. I see people complaining about the “steep pricing”, but the starters, sides and drinks were fairly priced in our opinion. “Glazed Jacob ladder” (see all picture below) was phenomenal! A small touch of my fork and the meat fell off the bone. So tender. Prawn tempura itself wasn’t anything amazing but the whole garnishing and accompanying salad and sauce elevated the dish. Each bite was fun. Steaks, although cooked to our preference (medium rare) didn’t hit the spot for the price point. Steep pricing for the steaks? Yes. Perhaps something they can improve on. Mushroom sauce was yummy. The drinks were gorgeous. Forget your basic mock tails, these were lavish and beautiful. I’m willing to pay that amount for that quality. All sides were delicious and cheap. Atmosphere: Busy busy busy, but service was still on point. I would avoid tables in their back floral room. Yes it looked pretty but it felt claustrophobic and groups tend to be seated there- some of which can be loud and annoying. Music was a tad bit loud but managed to still hear one another. Areas for improvement: * booking system - when you book online you receive an email which DOES NOT confirm your booking time. It just outlines the fact that they have received the request, and that they will contact you with the outcome. Think they should place deposits for peak times and a better booking system. Also deposits might keep away the young rowdy crowd… * Steak… I don’t know but the steak basting was lacking. Perhaps it was a one off. Would I go again and would I recommend it? Yes and yes. Next time I’ll try a burger- saw a lot of people order burgers when I went so it must be good. Unless it was just a cheaper option. Everything else was on point. I actually ended up here a bit last minute after some shopping and must admit that the customer service was amazing from the start to the end. They really know what their doing here. The quality of the steaks were quite good and definitely worth the price. No alcohol is served here though you could get win/gin etc alcohol free which does come at a price but worth it. First time attending and I'd recommend. There's free parking available outside the road after 7pm everyday of the week.

Had an amazing 21st birthday at elvet yesterday. Waiters were very helpful, attentive and professional. The interior was gorgeous. And I could not fault the food. I went with calamari for starters, and the rib eye on the bone and it was honestly so good,😍. Also a great place to get some gorgeous photos. 10/10 deffo would recommend❤️. I went to Elvet with my siblings and it definitely was the best experience. The staff were friendly, the manager was so lovely and bought us a dessert on the house which was so delicious. Visited here yesterday for my birthday dinner. Waiters are little pushy to over sell the steake meat type however service was exceptional and the Ambiance was on point. Visited Elvet with family to try their Wagyu steak. We were all blown away with service, ambiance, presentation, quality and flavours 10/10. Easily one of the best steaks I've had. - £30 Mix grill 4/5 Each item was good, well seasoned. Would go for this if you wanted bit of everything. -£18 Glazed Jacob lader: 4/5 The meat just falls off the bone. So tender and juicy with the perfect amount of BBQ sauce that is not so overly sweet. £7.50 Crispy calamari: Tender rings with garlic Mayo and a touch of caviar - very good, well seasoned and didn't have a rubbery texture at all. -£6.95 Cheesy chips: 4/5 - This had a thicc layer of fresh mozzarella cheese on top, the cheese pull was immense but I forgot to record . My partner and I came to Elvet for dinner, and honestly, hands down the most phenomenal restaurant we have ever been to! The wagyu beef burger is hands down the nicest burger I've ever had in my life, and the steak was to die for! Biggie and Zed were absolute gentlemen! They were both extremely welcoming, and really looked after us! 11/10 would recommend anyone to come here and we will most definitely be back the next time we're in London! Enjoyed a fantastic experience at elvet, staff were so pleasant particularly Montana, biggz and the floor manager who meets and seats guests. First of all, THANKS Saf for the most spectacular service ever!‼️ I took my husband to dinner for his birthday and Saf made it so enjoyable for us. We were not a fan of steak but, Elvet Steakhouse gave us GOLDEN Steak! The food was worth every penny spent and was extremely filling. Our favourite part was the drinks, the Mocktails are definitely what mocktails should be. They are not just fancy looking, they taste perfect as well. It was crispy and tender. For mains: -Mixed grill 8/10 -Argentinian Black Angus Sirloin with handcut chips and peppercorn sauce 9/10 - Elvet 24ct Gold Steak with handcut chips and peppercorn sauce 10/10. It was gold, it was beef and it was cooked to perfection. It was just Bang on! £55 well spent on this steak! -For kids we got cheese burger and it juicy and delicious. Husband gave me a surprise with their delicious millionaire chocolate brownie cake. It was melt in the mouth delicious! Visited here twice for special occasion and it has become my favourite place to go! Would highly recommend it as the food is worth the price.

I visited Elvet steakhouse and I've been looked after by Biggie (yes, the waiter is called Biggie). Biggie had kindly walkthrough the digital menu with me and I was impressed by his knowledge and charisma. Based on Biggie's recommendations, for main I ordered a medium-rare Wagyu sirloin with hand-cup chips, buttered spinach and peppercorn sauce. For drink, I ordered champagne mocktail (the drink is imported from Spain) which is the best mocktail I ever had. They have a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks which is very impressive for halal-only restaurant, so I ordered another drink; tropical depression and it's really good. However, there is one negative thing about the food which is the starter I ordered. It's prawn tempura which was a let-down. Its batter was in not high quality and it's a bit bland. The vibe of the place is nice as the music is pleasant and not too loud. The total bill came around £100+ which is expensive for one person but I would return here for another visit.

I booked a table for my sister's birthday, it was amazing. The food was absolutely mouthwatering, everyone loved it and the floral room was beautiful. I want to keep complimenting but words are not enough to describe how great it was! Forget these bad reviews, they make no valid points. The food is amazing, Yes its expensive but you should expect that and check the prices before going in rather than complaining about it... your paying for the quality of the foods and that is not cheap. the vibe is beautiful but the staff.... the staff are Beyond amazing!!! one of the waiters 'saf' was really helpful + kind and my waiter was 'Biggie' he was super nice and helpful. I like that he was so lively, making jokes and small convos! Biggie, thank you so much for your hospitality and Inshallah, Allah will reward you. - (Update) They done it again, really amazing food and service. I got the Wellington steak assuming that the size portion would be small since normally expensive food are always small. Deffo couldn't finish it, I had about half of the meal alone and got so full. This made me not want to eat anything else that I had ordered so I gave the starter foods to the homeless on the streets. I also got the flower pot dessert thinking it was small too but damn that was so large 4 people can share 1. :) I now know next time to get somthing thats smaller or just get a kid menu as that will be enough for me.

Nice restaurant. Good food with good portion size and promot service. Waiters were very helpful and attentive and there were more than few standing nearby. Only problem is music was too loud. Was on my walks when I felt hungry so I just popped in not exactly dressed the part. I wasn’t made to feel uncomfortable at all. I was served by Saf & Aziz; they were honestly such lovely people to be served by. I got lamb chops which was super soft, melts in your mouth. Wagyu burger with hand cut chips which was very fancy and tasty so not just for the gram. Aziz was very hands on to making sure my order was met with my strict cooking instruction which was great fully followed through. The final and the best ending to the meal was a lovely recommendation by Saf which was the Dulce de leche cheese cake. I can see my self just to come back again and again for that alone.

What always strikes me when I visit Elvet is how welcoming and attentive the staff are. Biggie was our host, and we felt truly looked after. The food was delicious and worth every penny (I missed the halloumi starter though, can you bring that back please?). All in all, a great place to go for some good food, and a great experience.

Very instagrammable. Food presented like it's from Masterchef lol with all the theatrics. My Pretty in pink drink had an aromatic bubble that burst into a smoke when I dropped a flower on it. And my Cheesecake was presented with a smoke thing too upon arrival. Apologies if I'm not using the right terminology. It's quite expensive however the food did taste really good, the chicken steak was really soft and tasted almost like tikka, but not convinced about the wagyu sirloin being worth £55. My Cheesecake did taste nice but the texture was too thick and the biscuit crumb was too thin and on the soft side. Music was also too loud (I prefer no music at all generally) and the tables were too closely packed together. Overall though it's a great place and I enjoyed it. It would be 5 stars if they stopped blasting the music and sorted out the seating as no one likes to sit too close to other diners Rating: 4.5 stars. Almost perfect

This is the best steakhouse in east London! It’s a stunning place with very delicious food and an interesting serving of dishes and cocktails. Firstly, this is an exceptional place to eat steak at! Well worth every pound out of the £68 I spent alone. Secondly, the restaurant isn't big but has enough seats for those walking in and those who have booked. Thirdly, the quality of the food is excellent, my steak was cooked medium where it was a little pink in the middle. I ordered the heavy weight steak at £39, about 350g of meat and it was worth every pound. It was savoured slowly. You get 1 choice of sauce and no sides. I ordered the sweet chips which are sweet potatoes fries and well worth the £3.50. The starter of Lamb chops was advised by the waiter instead of the burgers due to the fact we were ordering the steak so not to mess with our tastebuds as I originally wanted the 'lil burgers'. Finally, the customer service was excellent also. Friendly, helpful staff. Do visit this place if you can as you will not be let down at all!!!

Upon visiting Elvet, I really enjoyed the food and so did everyone else I was with. It's not so easy to find a place where the steak is enjoyable but Elvets food was very delicious. The food came surprisingly quick we were all very impressed. The drinks were nice and they looks quite appealing too. Very very wide variety of drinks. If you want good food then I would definitely recommend Elvet. However, the ridiculously loud music ruined our whole experience. We all had to repeat ourselves many times when ordering because the waiters and waitresses couldn't even hear us. We asked if the music can be turned down but we were told that management won't allow this and that the loud music is to appeal to people in their late teens. Which is pretty silly! When at a restaurant, you enjoy talking with your friends/family but it is practically impossible here due to the music. I do enjoy loud music but in a restaurant, I think its really silly. Not in any way saying to not have any music at all, but just turning the volume down a little would do the trick. For this reason alone, I will never be visiting this restaurant again.

Honestly, I don't know where to begin. Absolutely blown away from start to finish. From the minute I walked in, the customer service from all waiters and waitresses was impeccable. Flawless. They made my wife and my daughter feel welcome. So attentive, so kind, caring, courteous from start to finish. Great work ethic. The food was amazing. There is nothing I can say bad about the food. I ordered the Argentine fillet steak. Best by far, I've eaten. Beats the banc and others. So soft and juicy. The lamb chops, Prawns and mac and cheese croquettes were simply satisfying. Everything was on point. Cannot thank the staff enough for making this a wonderful experience for my family. Never seen my 18 month daughter have so much fun at a restaurant. Staff were playing with my daughter and making the experience memorable for all of us. A great family friendly restaurant. A massive thank you to Saf. Absolute stunning atmosphere in and out the steakhouse. The first thing which will attract you is the appearance itself. As for the food and service, it was phenomenal! Staff were extremely friendly and approachable. Food was delicious well presented. However, I must say this isn't a place you should go just for a quick bite with a friend or partner. Prices vary a lot and can be quite high, it's more of a fancy place to visit if your going out on a date or made plans for a family gathering. Portion size was quite small and the steaks weren't that filling but tasted fabulous. Couldn't enjoy the meal because it ended before I could even start 😂. So, if your someone who likes getting their money's worth you won't find it here. Please note this is because it's more on the fancy side and to be fair a steakhouse like this isn't really gonna be cost efficient. So, just to end overall a lovely place something I would really recommend. Nonetheless, a very SMALL disappointment would probably just have to be the portion size.

The ambience of this place is on point and atmosphere is good. The staff are very friendly and will advise you. I've been to many a halal steakhouses and always left disappointed, but pleased to say that the folks at Elvet didn't disappoint. I had the Argentinian ribeye medium-rare and it was SPOT ON! For starters we had the calamari and the prawn tempura (interesting twist). For dessert we had the cheesecake. Some might find a bit pricey, but it's totally worth it. The food and ambience is worth it. Would I go again, yes! Do I recommend, yes! But go there for the steak, not a burger, it's a steakhouse!!! And a brilliant halal one.

My visit to this restaurant with my accompaniment was completely unplanned as we went on a walk, initially planning to go elsewhere but as we had passed it a few times in the past, we decided to give it a go today and after our experience we were so happy that we did! So many good things I could say, so ill try to list them out: 1. Decoration- nicely decorated all over, from the main room, the floral room area and the rest room. Spacious enough and aired nicely ( not too cold or warm). We were there around 5.30pm so it wasnt too busy. 2. The menu - instead of a physical menu they use a 'system' where you can download the menu to your phone, which I think is a great idea, much more hygenic and doesn't take up space on the table. 3. The Food!- Most important and so happy that it was so good! I wish i took a photo! We ordered the mix grill, chunky sweet potato fries and the mac and cheese! The meats were well seasoned and well made (not chewy or burnt) - the chicken was my favourite - very tender, the fries were perfectly cooked ( no crusty ones at the botttom) and the mac was nice and cheesy! The meal was very filling too, didnt get desert ( defo will next time). It also came in good time! Didnt wait long 4. The staff - all were attentive, welcoming, made suggestions for our drink Pretty Pink i think it was called ( which is the image below- ) but especially our main waiter a young lady named Montana was really really good, very polite and attentive and making sure we had everything we wanted/needed and this made the experience very enjoyable. 5.Extras- the prices were a bit pricey but because the portions were good didnt mind so much, the drinks werent just filled with ice but actually well filled drinks! They also gave us chocolates at the end with the bill which was really nice to do. So as you can see well enjoyed! I would certainly go again and recommend to others !

The service and the food is excellent, be careful the portions is slightly big for starters, especially the ribs, but who is complaining. I was too full for my mains, steak with 4 sides, my eyes is bigger then my stomach. But everything was delicious, the atmosphere was great, service was great and fast, considering how busy it was. Make sure you book, this place gets packed up so quick , with constant queue. My only bit of moan, the lightning in certain tables, especially mine was to dim for my liking. Plus the queue for the ladies. Honestly girls, you need to stop queuing up to take pictures against the gorgeous flower wall backdrop... Especially when you are blocking the entrance to the toilets and stopping waiters delivering the food.

Honest Review: Been here half a dozen times, food is pretty good. Drinks are amazing. Vibes are generally great (there is loud music at nights though). However, this place updated the menu in the last year, now offering Wagyu Steaks - which i ordered medium. Baring in mind this costs £65 (Without any sides) - i had high expectations for this. This was not the case, it was not how Wagyu is meant to be - it was instead very dry and chewy (despite it coming out cooked at medium). Very disappointing experience considering my usual order (Mixed Grill or Argentinian Steak) is 100x better than how this tasted, which was 0 flavour. Everything else (Starters, Sides and Drinks were all amazing 9/10). Wagyu steak (not sure how authentic their Wagyu is) but as someone who has had my fair share of Wagyu - this was not it. Maybe it was an off try - but regardless, at the price point i won't be taking my chances again any time soon. Stick to the basic steaks or standard menu...

Hi I booked today for 8.45 . Arrived and a warm welcome at the door . We were seated and the waiter explained how to scan the menu and as we looked through he also recommended the pretty in pink or gold digger drinks … I was with my 2 daughters and the waiter was attentive and soon as we ordered the drinks they arrived and the waitress then stared get the cameras ready as the whole experience of the bubble is amazing . Difficult place to review as the food was good however other major elements in reviewing causes them to slack. Steaks are good , I had them medium £30 Argentinian (too expensive if I’m honest ) tasted good. My other 3 companions had them medium well and they didn’t like them at all. The medium is great and I recommend the medium . Avoid all sauces at all costs , despite being free I think this kitchen hasn’t got the experience to present proper steakhouse sauces ... Starters were outstanding , clever idea of the halloumi and raspberry , prawns were clearly fresh and were well well cooked. Prawns and avocado wasn’t too great as I’m Sure avocado wasn’t of a quality source. Portobello mushroom was a waste of money , Disco chips where fantastic Drinks were late but that’s understandable due to the place being rammed with customers which is confusing as they don’t participate in eat out to help out?!!! This was a major fail . To summarise, I probably wouldn’t drive 50 minutes to get to this place again due to the pricing , but if your within 30 minutes reach it’s probably a good place to take your family or eat out with your friends.. Good hospitality from Montana and Abs who served us. £177 for a team of 4

A really nice venue with attentive staff. The lighting was a little dim but overall the restaurant provided an excellent atmosphere for fine dining and celebrations. The food was well prepared and presented and everything we ordered was delicious. Overall, I enjoyed the food but I have given it four stars as I thought some of the prices were a little high, although the manager did well to explain that all the Argentinian beef cuts were sourced from Argentina on a weekly basis. Steak was amazing and they are probbaly the only Halal Steak Restaurant that sell High grades Halal steak in London! The cuts are fresh and def. not thawed. Also, the temperature of the food was perfect, medium well done was cooked perfectly it was soft. And the medium rare was amazing! Because its our first time we didn't want to risk with Wagyu Steak, but now that its safe and worth to spend the money I am looking forward to it! They're Steak is Argentinien and so is the Chef I think. There is a difference between Argentinian and Japanese wagyu, if you know, you know!! So we ordered: Rib eye steak - medium Rare, a Srloin Medium well done and kids meal. Sides, mash and chips. Starters were Calamari. We also had cocktails, the bubble and a cloud one.

First time visiting Elvet Steakhouse with the family. We decided to try the Argentinian steak which was recommended by the waitress who also recommended what sauce best complimented the steak. There is also a kids menu which is great, my boys ordered the lamb burger and chicken bites. Our steaks were lovely and cooked to perfection. I was however disappointed at the portion sizes for all the meals, would have loved the steaks to be slightly bigger. The kids portions were also on the small side. Despite all the mixed reviews on here about Elvet Steakhouse I went in prepared for the worst. The restaurant wasn't full at the time, it was pretty peaceful and quiet. The decor was dark and dingy, I suppose that's the effect they wanted to achieve for the restaurant. Nonetheless this didn't bother me too much. The waiters were very attentive which I thought was good. As soon as we sat down we received 4 small slices of plain bread with a dip of mayonnaise and a butter knife. The slices of bread were somewhat hard, i thought they were toasted because the trimmings were so hard. So I spread the mayonnaise on the bread slices like butter.... wasn't sure what to expect the taste to be like.... just normal mayonnaise on bread!? So I was left in anticipation for what to expect for my mains... Where we sat my wife didn't like the cold breeze next to the window so we were moved to a much larger table closer to the middle of the restaurant with comfortable seating usually reserved for 8-10 persons. This was kind from management. Reading other reviews i was prepared to expect small portions so i decided to order 3 starters instead which were: - Chicken Skewers, - Pan Fried prawns and - BBQ Wings As you will see from the photos attached the only thing which was surprisingly small out of the 3 were the chicken skewers (3 small pieces of chicken on one skewer and 2 small pieces on another). The wings and prawns were fine. For main I went for: Argentine Black Angus Sirloin steak. I requested medium-well done. Unfortunately one half of the steak was done fine the other half was somewhat rare, still red with blood oozing out as I cut into the beef. More quality checks need to be done to ensure the steak are done thoroughly throughout the steak to ensure it meets the customers request. Wife ordered BBQ Chicken Melt Steak which was fine, tasted like any other chicken steak to be honest. For sides we ordered Cheesy Handcut chips and Creamy Mash. We thoroughly enjoyed both our sides without issue. The creamy mash was both our favourite. We had peppercorn sauces to accompany our main dishes along with your usual mayonnaise and ketchup. For dessert it was a chocolate mousse cake which we both shared and enjoyed. I have to say the dessert tasted of good quality, not cheap. To finish up this review, the toilets were very nice, kept clean and maintained. The mirror has a nice touch where it lights up if you press the button on the actual glass. Overall we enjoyed our experience.

Hubby and I recently tried out this gourmet steakhouse located in East London. I was quite excited to try their food as I have heard nothing but high praise, and I am partial to a good steak! Starters - Nano burgers and chicken satays: The nano burgers were tiny little sliders, which tasted gorgeous - I would happily have eaten several of these in one go! The chicken satays were nice and tender, which came in roasted peppers and a savoury tangy sauce. Mains / sides - Argentinian Black Angus Fillet with rustic chips and coleslaw, Argentinian Black Angus Sirloin with crushed potatoes: Both of the steaks were beautifully done, not overcooked and very tender. The fillet was slightly more tender as it had no fat, but the sirloin has a slightly more juicy taste to it - both were excellent. The rustic chips were a yummy side but I was less of a fan of the crushed potatoes, which felt a bit too heavy! Dessert - Alcohol-free tiramisu, caramel cheesecake The restaurant kindly bought these out as we were about to leave, and I was glad they did! The tiramisu was creamy and smooth, with just a hint of coffee flavour, and the cheesecake was beautifully smooth with an added sharpness from the berries. Drinks - Passionate Lady, Berrylicious, Mango Bellini and Bubblegum mojito Out of the 4 drinks we had, the bubblegum mojito was both of our favourite - it tasted pleasantly fruity without being too sweet. The Berrylicious was a nice flavoured sweet drink, and the Passionate Lady had a really nice lassi feel to it. The Mango Bellini was nice but could have had a slightly fruitier taste to it, but tasted fresh so this is a plus. Despite the vast amount of halal restaurants in London, I have found it difficult to find a decent halal steak place who know what they're doing with their meats. The owner explained how he sources his halal meat directly from Argentina and learned the process of drying, adding flavours and how to cook the meat properly, and this is reflected in the food. Overall we thought the meal was fantastic, went home very happy! Yes the prices are slightly pricier than east London restaurants tend to be, which may put people off, but I think you definitely get value for money. HALAL : yes - HMC confirmed VEGETARIAN & VEGAN OPTIONS AVAILABLE: Vegeterian - yes, Vegan - no PRICE : £25-35 for steaks, can be around £40-50 per person for a 3 course meal with drinks

I was a bit sceptical before going re pricing and location but it was truly fantastic. After asking how long the food was due to being hungry staff brought out a complimentary starter which was delicious and after eating our meal and extending our thanks we was told to sit down as the chef was grateful for our comments and they provided us with a free dessert. 'Ended up at Elvet' couldn't be more true for us, my friend and I were planning to go to a different restaurant but once we got there, we were told that without a booking we won't have a table. Elvet came to my mind and off we went, we were greeted at the door by a gentleman who offered us a table straight away despite the restaurant being extremely busy. Once settled, it felt like we weren't in East London at all, the ambiance, the quality of service, the decor are all really up a notch compared to other local restaurants. We had the lamb taco and lil' burgers for starters. I tried the sirloin Argentinian steak while my friend went for a safe option and chose the chicken. I am usually scared of ordering steaks in most restaurants as it doesn't always come out nice but since this is a steakhouse, I had to give it a chance and I did not regret it. I asked for it to be medium/slightly well done (not medium, just a tad up without it being too "well done") and it was cooked exactly as I asked, the meat was tender and juicy, tasty with the peppercorn sauce and despite looking small in the plate, it was enough for me. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, he made the experience feel even better. We will definitely come back with the rest of our friends next time!

Everything was superb besides the bald waiter who was very aggressive towards us because we came in late. He rushed our order and whilst a few of us were still eating he brought the card machine over to pay. When we told him we would be giving cash he became a doorman thinking we would run off without paying which was a bit awkward. We then tried to lighten the mood with him and said he had the physique of the famous WWE wrestler Goldberg however he became very angry and swore at one of the party and insulted his dress sense and lsaid he looks like Charles Chaplin which was uncalled for. Loved the Argentinian steak, I had it with mushroom sauce and Mac&cheese, the steak comes with a delicious caramelized onions, I thoroughly enjoyed the food. I've had better strawberry mojitos elsewhere, but their milkshakes looked good. The overall service was very good, they definitely wanted to please and take care of us, one suggestion would be to have only one or two people attend a table inorder to provide some consistency, instead we were served by several different waiters which didn't feel ideal. I will be returning and would recommend.

Visited Elvet on a Saturday night, despite reading some negative reviews. What can I say, fantastic food, atmosphere and service. Could be a little more friendly on the wallet, but no regrets! Decor was brilliant, layout of the restaurant is comfortable and spacious. After being served the menu, we were served with bread and sour cream/cheese (Lovely). We ordered the bbq wings, lamb ribs and fried prawns for starters. Bbq wings were average, fried prawns were phenomenal, and the lamb ribs was ever so tasty. For our main course we ordered the Argentinian Wagyu (£55) with Mash potato. The steak was cooked to perfection, so succulent and juicy and nothing negative to say about it. Before ordering coffee, we were presented with a platter of their home made desserts, tiramisu, chocolate brownie, salted caramel, cheese cake and can't remember the rest. All of it was very rich and not shy in taste. All in all - fantastic place, will surely be returning...

First time here. Main reason for rating a 3 star was the constant pressure to leave within 90 minutes from the moment we entered. We were told it's due to the busy nature however later that statement was changed to 'it's legally now only 90 minutes per booking' which is totally not true as there is nothing online on the government website about that. We were asked if we wanted desserts and if not then we must leave. We ordered chicken steaks, chicken burger and hand cut chips. The Chicken burger and the chicken steak were exactly the same chicken both in flavour and size. Very disappointing. The chips weren't cooked through and that was a shame too. For starters the calamari, nachos and mac&cheese were really good. The drinks were nothing special, but just exaggerated for Instagram. A place to go if you want instagram food over quality food. For the price, the main was not worth it. On top we were charged an £8 service charge which we felt under pressure not to remove because we just wanted to get out of there tbh. Won't be going again, only good for the gram :).

It was my sister's birthday and the team prepared a birthday dessert and presented it at the end of the dinner. Speaking of, the food was amazing. The meat was tender and it was obvious the food wasn't processed meat and was cooked to perfection. The drinks were delicious and the menu itself was vast. Once you were done with your meal, there was a lovely flower area where you could take photos, the lighting was great and it is away from the eating area so you don't feel self conscious taking pics. I will definitely be returning here soon and i've raved about it to everyone i know! All food and beverages are halal and there is a masjid across the road should you need to pray.

The fries and the mushrooms we had for the sides were also good. As for the starters we were not so impressed, we ordered the prawn tempura and the calamari both were served within 5 mins of us ordering and didn't taste fresh - they tasted more like they came from iceland or the cash and carry rather than freshly sourced from billingsgate. The sauces accompanying the starters did taste nice and fresh but the seafood itself was a bit of a letdown. In terms of service our waitress Montana was excellent as was another of the waiters named Saf. We will most likely visit again but avoid the starters next time

Booked last minute for a table for two on a busy saturday evening, and they accomodated my request as it was a special occassion for me. Staff were really, really friendly. Naj was both attentive and very charming. The lamb chops were amazing! I'm a fan of the chops served in Dishoom Shoreditch (as well as the old school Tayyabs chops back in the day) and I must say the lamb chops here tasted better. Really tender and juicy, and the marinade was not overpowering. Superb! My wife ordered a pina colada mocktail (I dont do girly drinks myself) and I had a sip and that tasted nice too. Steaks were really good but bare in mind that their “cocktails” are not cocktails and in fact just 6/7£ for some juice or sugary drinks. Also waitor did try to convince us to order more pricey steaks. Service was good but overall not worth the travel outside of central London. I think on the menu they should try to make it more clear that they don’t actually have an alcohol license as it is misleading when they put a cocktail as having “strawberry gin” in when actually they don’t

It was one of my greatest experience .the food was delicious with a lovely and warm staff especially SAF and Regina. Definitely will pay a visit again and again and highly recommend it to who ever want great atmosphere.

The food was quite nice. Our waiter Tony provided decent service and all around the experience was very good. However, whilst eating my meal, I ordered another drink and I expected it to come in a timeframe of 3-5 minutes at the least, to my shock, I had to wait approximately 10+ minutes for my drink, meaning I ate my food whilst feeling thirsty. That was the only negative aspect of my experience at Elvet Steakhouse, but all in all, I would like to return and would recommend it to others.

I came here with 2 of my mates. Mosh was serving us. He’s a Top Class Geezer! Loved him! Got us everything that we wanted n needed. Always checked up on us! Had a great chat with him n all. Food was 10/10. Can’t complain. Loved the wings n the steak itself. There was this leng ting. Called Montana. Had this nice tongue ring. Didn’t even acknowledge man. Even tho I was Gucci’d out from head to toe. Had the Roley on n errytin, but it is what it is. We gotta keep it stepppin. Can’t be waiting around for a nice lookin brass. But Montana. Had a great experience. The staff was lovely, welcoming and very helpful. The decor was beautiful and great place for pictures. Food was great, I ordered the chicken was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Although I wasn’t happy with the taste of mash potatoes, it tasted very powdered. However everything else was perfect and I wouldn’t let one side dish ruin the experience. Will definitely recommend and will be definitely going again!

Food was nice, although nothing to rave about. Steaks seemed overpriced compared to what you actually. The prized 24K gold steak failed to deliver in it's hype. The mini steak sliders in the starters menu was by far the best item on the menu. General atmosphere, although nice, was quite loud and cramped. The flower wall was great for photos but could have been placed in a better area and not right outside the ladies toilets and where staff kept passing through with food and dishes. Was it worth travelling 1 hour and 40 minutes to get to? Not really.
