joining the "came here because of uncle roger and will be returning because the food is amazing" crew! hands down the best green curry I have ever had! the sticky rice was so fluffy as well :0 all the food was amazing and the ambience is so warm and friendly as well. the owner is super sweet and funny and we had a great time!

Best food that I've eaten in my ahem extended stay in London.
My wife cooks a mean jungle curry but this was even better. The Thai sausage were fantastic too.
Talking of my wife, the food even met her exacting standards so it must have been good.
Good bottle of Chilean red topped things off.
Prices were pretty reasonable for London.

Came because of Uncle Roger, staying because the food is perfect!
The food tasted incredible, the restaurant was full, the head chef/owner is super smiley as are all the waiting staff. The portions are on the small side but i also eat a lot so will just order more variety next time! This is proper Thai food and well worth a visit!
S.
Very tasty, The best Green Curry and Pad Thai I have ever ate in London so far.
Little, cosy restarant with very friendly staff.
Definitely coming back soon.

This is my third visit and the food is always delicious. My mother had the Tom Yum soup, pad Thai and banana fritters and said hands down, best Thai she has ever had. The black rice with Banana wrapped in a leaf, absolutely delicious!!!
Z. T.
Super friendly, super tasty & super authentic. This restaurant ticks all the boxes of a special Thai restaurant. The best bit is the fact they specialise in food from the Esarn region which is hard enough to come by and they do it pretty damn well. We will certainly be back.

I came here with my partner on recommendation from our uncle Roger. The food did not dissapoint!! For starters we had the dumplings and deep fried prawn with vegetables. These were both great and packed with flavour. After that we went with the North East style catfish and Gaeng Om two very unique dishes that I don't think I have seen at any of your typical Thai restaurants. Both were immaculate filled with unique flavours that keep your pallet wanting more for the entire time you are eating. Would 100% recommend this place to any of my friends who are looking for some great authentic food in West London. The staff were really friendly and the chef even came out to talk to us for a while. Will be back soon!!
L. H.
We were inticed by Uncle Roger, and we were glad we travelled to try this place! The food was authentic and delicious. A shame that the Thai milk tea was sold out but will have to come again to try :) the homemade sausages were amazing. The only negative would be the gaeng om I ordered was half frozen but am still giving it a 5 star review because the staff were lovely and food was great!
D. S.
I ate here in the early 1990's. By a country mile the most authentic Thai food in London. Very (very) spicy by default though, so ask them to tone it down if you might struggle. If you are lucky you might see the odd celeb too. When I last visited Vince Clarke of Depeche Mode, Yazoo and Erasure fame was there.
T. C.
This is one of those "great finds" even though it already has a great reputation (and rightly so). It offers fantastic food which leaves you feeling great as you walk away matched with reasonable prices and AMAZING service!! I honestly can't speak highly enough of the friendly, bubbly and knowledgeable host we had for the evening. Onto the food and it offered the depth and balance of flavours expecting from great Thai food. The "Son in law" eggs with the semi sweet Tamarind sauce & perfectly soft boiled eggs were a great pairing for the sticky rice. The texture of the crispy seabass was something this home "cook" can only dream of achieving it was spot on. To finish up we had the first Mango sticky rice of the year and considering I bought it on the recommendation as both me and my partner don't like mango or rice pudding dishes it blew me away. The slightly sweet and mellow taste of both the coconut milk infused rice and delicate mango paired so well it left me genuinely left me with a uplifting feeling. If your still reading this then I think you are aware I highly recommend a visit here.

Fantastic family-run Thai restaurant. Wonderfully tasty, authentic food served by friendly staff in a relaxed environment. Very highly recommended.
G. H.
Lovely hosts, great food. Great pre-show dinner. Really loved our welcome here and the massaman had the most amazing slow cooked beef. Will definitely return.
W. D.
Absolutely amazing Thai Green Curry and would recommend this dish from here if you like spice. Thank you uncle Roger for pointing this place out.
The only slightly negative is that there were some egg shells in the pad thai but I hope that was just an exception rather than the rule.
C. S.
Legit genuine Thai food.. Food are cheap and reasonable! Will be my go to Thai food moving forward.. Order pad Thai, tomyam soup & a steam rice
N.
A no-frills neighborhood Thai restaurant serving Northern Thai / Issan cuisine in the Shepherd's Bush/White City area. Food is family style, so made for sharing. Food tastes fine, and authentically spicy. Prices are very reasonable. However given the high quality of Thai food all over London, unlikely to come back.
j. g.
We went here frequently pre Covid when the Northern Thai family provided a warm welcome. I am happy to say their welcome and hospitality has not wained in these times. In those days it was one of the few restaurants in London which did fiery Northern Thai dishes. These days they are still there and highly recommend, you just need to search them out via the QR code menu on your phone. I can personally recommend the minced pork with sticky rice and bamboo shoot curry. If your lucky try their sausages on the starter menu. Portion sizes are good and expect to pay around fifty pounds for two people and three courses without drinks. This restaurant continues to stand out in a street which has become a copy of Edgware Road for the uniqueness of the food and warmth of the family that continue to run it.
W. S.
Uncle Roger told us to come, we came...
Don't hesitate this is really good :) Even for Asian People, I mean you wanna eat like at home right?
A. G.
We had booked a table for 14 people Who are doing boxing class in Acton vale (kissgym) and before Summer holidays we chose the best and local thay restaurant in west London( Shepherd's Bush) at the end we had had an Amazing service and delicious Thay food.

First timer who is obsessed with Thai food & Esarn Kheaw did NOT disappoint. Arguably the best Thai food I've ever eaten in Europe, cooked to perfection, portion size was very big for only £7, and the staff was really friendly too. And if we were able to eat in the restaurant, I think the price would have been reasonable for a dinner for two (£25-30). Absolutely will eat here again!
B. S.
Lovely family run restaurant
Authentic decor and friendly service. The food is so wonderfully delicious and perfectly spiced and good portion size . I love this place as so unpretentious and friendly. you have just got to try it if you love Thai food then you won't be disappointed 🤗
M. B.
The most authentic and delicious Thai food in London - can’t be beaten. The decor is adorable also and the staff are all super lovely! Our family have been going here for 20+ years and it never disappoints. Would recommend!
p. p.
The food here was incredible and well priced. The portions were great and I would go as far as to say it was the best Thai food we have had in London. The service was friendly and food came out quickly. Would highly recommend the Thai sausages and the Penang curry but the menu itself is comprehensive and looking forward to trying more dishes! Whilst it has a very unassuming appearance, this should not deter anyone from coming as the food is phenomenal! Cannot wait to go again.
T. S. D.
Really authentic food, some of the best tasting Thai dishes in west london.
Shame they dont serve crab which in my opinion is a must for a Thai menu and their mango sticky rice was sold out.
Social distancing measures were very impressive.
Overall a good experience with some very enjoyable dishes.
K.
Great delicious food and friendly service and we really enjoyed our dinner there!!!
S. T.
Really tasty food and lots of laughs! Best thai in town!
H. C.
Went here after seeing it recommended by Mr Roger. Really does not disappoint.
J. P.
It was nice!!
but I expected too much!! haha
enjoy!! haha
M. C.
Nice Thai food!
Quite an authentic Thai restaurant. They serve raw prawn which is rarely seen in London. Obviously it doesn't taste as brilliant as Thailand but it's in quite a good quality! Price for each dishes was low but the portion wasn't big. At the end it was about £20 pp
T. D.
The best authentic Thai food in London. Super friendly family run restaurant that has to be tried. Hidden gem in close proximity to Westfield White City
S. S.
the food is fantastic & the staff are amazing !
15 of us came for corporate dinner - everyones food was of the highest standard freshest & truly authentic Thai outside of Thailand we all agreed.
Everyones dinner was hot & delicious - quite an accomplishment for 15 at a table. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff & all 15 of us can not recommend highly enough.
S.
This is a hidden gem on a street full of various cuisines all vying for pole position. However, Esarn Kheaw is a cut above. If you're looking for authentic Thai food, cooked by Thai's with generations of Thai's running a restaurant - this is your place. If they had a good stall at Borough Market or the like it would have a queue to the station.
The food here is unreal.
Yes they can be heavy on the fish sauce in a few dishes ie classic green Thai curry or spring rolls. Yes a few dishes can have a little too much oil depending on the chef that evening. Saying that the flavour is the best I've tried in London. At least this area of London. The beef panang is rich, deep and spicy. Their noodles dishes are not greasy and full of flavour. Dumplings, fish dishes, chicken - all fantastic.
The staff are friendly, smiling and more than happy to chat. I always leave with a smile and full belly.
Takeaway or eat in I'd recommend either. Dishes are not priced too highly but not cheap. You're looking at average £9. There are more expensive restaurants out there with much less quality.
Worth 5 stars for sure.
O. P.
Such a great gem of a restaurant. The decor may be simple, but the food is authentic and delicious, and the service friendly and efficient. They offer a take-away and dine-in service both of which I would recommend.
M. M. (.
Really good Pad Thai, large portion and plenty of meat. The fried rice is always good. Ready on time for collection. I will definitely go back.
V. M.
This restaurant is certainly one of the most pleasant restaurants in the neighborhood. Every time I visit this place I am truly satisfied. They always keep their very high standard service and the topmost level of meals they give. You are always happy with this place. Very recommended.
m. c.
100% authentic northern Thai food. If you like eating at new wave modern Thai joints such as Smoking Goat, Somsaa, and Kiln, you will love this place. Everything is freshly cooked and served by lovely Thai people! The food is not tweaked to accommodate Western palates, so expect strong doses of chillies, fermented crab and fish sauce. It was so good it felt like we were eating in Thailand.
S. S.
amazing restaurant with delicious food.
the Tom Yum soup was exquisite and a massive fan of their stir fry dishes. have been coming here for over 5 years and i love the food and the service is top notch.
the family working here are very welcoming and friendly and i will continue to come back. thank you so much
E. N.
The best Thai food in Shepherds Bush. The curry was nice and coconutty with an even heat. The servers were very attentive, and helpful with the big menu. Very authentic food, and willing to go the extra little bit with some chili to up the heat.
A. R.
We went as a group of 4 friends and were blown away by the service - the staff were knowledgeable and didn't shy away from making very good recommendations about the dishes we should choose from their menu. The dishes themselves were excellent and very well priced. The only downside is that we visited on Saturday night near COB and they'd run out of several desserts we wanted to try. But, that'll be an excuse to visit again when in the area.
J. C.
Very good Thai restaurant with quintessential Thai dishes. Food was delicious and couldn't have asked for any better. Portion size is a little small but the food still leaves you content nonetheless.
N. E.
This really is the best thai food we've ever had in London. The green vegetable curry is amazing and the flavours are great. It's family run and sometimes the service is up and down, but they are friendly and as the foods so good we always come back
S. J.
I eat all yum yum. Delicious and reasonable price. Park nearby.
K. A.
It isa lovely charming family run thai restaurant. The especialise in food from one of the provinces in the north. The food was fresh and full of flavour. I really liked the fact that they used a range of fresh herbs and vegetable in the curry. The one dish that really stood out was the Penang curry. The wine is priced really reasonably and really good value for money. I would love to go back.
B. M.
The staff were great, so friendly and helpful. We had a thai friend order our food for us and shared all the dishes, we had about 10 dishes and everything was delicious. I highly recommend the thai iced tea as a beverage
A. H.
The service was great, the staff are friendly and patient. The food was average, maybe because i am from asia and always eat asian food, so my taste maybe different to others. The pineapple rice and pad thai was a little wet. All the dishes were a little too salty.
E. B.
Best Thai in London. The food really is off the chart. Expect a wait for food when they’re busy (ie slow service) but well worth it. Staff are very friendly. Top dishes are the tom yum soup and the pad Thai.
D.
Been there a few times times in recent weeks - food has always been delicious - service and staff are attentive ...god value and you certainly will be hard pressed to find a decent authentic Thai place on par with this place - highly recommend.
D. H.
I love the sound of pounding out the kitchen! Hayaaaa.
S. K.
Friendly, family run place. Normally full of locals with a conveniently late kitchen closing time. One of the best Tom Yum Tofu soups you'll find in London. They also offer loads of veggie-protein (tofu) options and don't put in fish sauce if you ask (so everything is fresh and not pre-made like some other places). Brilliant.
B. D.
Thai food at its very best. Thai service that's great. Ambiance that's authentic. If you're unsure try the Esarn sausages, a treat from the north east.
B. R.
Some of the best flavors and spice that I've had in any city for Thai. The shrimp with garlic and peppercorn, amazing. The penang curry was special, too. Spice can be requested on any dish
I. W.
Everything is good if they could reduce salty in dishes. Thai ice tea was not a taste of authentic Thai ice tea ...too diluted tea. Service charge was 15% despite locating out of the central London.
J. M.
Papaya salad was nice, spicy and had a decent tang to it. The curries were all delicious (we ordered green, red and panang curries, of the three the panang was the best).
Service wasn't fast, but at the same time we weren't rushed either, an enjoyable experience.
L. S.
Affordable, and more importantly, excellent food and friendly service. This restaurant has set a new standard for me for Thai food. So much better than anything I find in America!
S. C.
This place is such a gem! The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff were great. The kind lady who served us was incredibly sweet and caring, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Definitely coming back!
D. W.
Was recommended this place by friends and i have to say i was not disappointed, The food was amazing, the staff made us feel welcome and hand on my heart say this was the best Thai restaurant in London. I would defiantly be back again and would highly recommend the Tiger Cry and the North East Style dish was too die for!!!!
D. W.
Really good Thai food at very reasonable prices. Service charge not included in the bill so make sure to give a tip. A little out of the way if you don't live in the area.
N. F.
Really friendly staff, great nuclear strength Green Papaya salad - I recommend the house special version with salted crab and fermented fish. Also worth a look is the Tamarind Sorbet - highly unusual taste but worth it if you taste leans towards the sour side. A cup of Lemon Grass and Pandan tea afterwards rounds off a good meal nicely. I think I'll be a regular in here that's for sure.
S. H.
Great fun service & delicious food!
Exceeded expectations
D. B.
This is the best Thai restaurant that I have yet been to, without exception. On food alone, this place gets my pick of the bunch. The young waiter that works here is the most friendly and human staff member I've had the pleasure of being served by and his jokey nature is most definitely welcome!
F. L.
A thai friend brought us there. We ordered a few dishes to share and everything was delicious. It can be quite busy on a weekend, so you might want to call in advance. I walked into it on a weekend after visiting the mall at White City with my wife and we had to go to a different location to have dinner.
T. H.
A bit too salty and smaller portion sizes. Massaman wasn't as rich as it could be. Not emuslified. Perhaps that's more authentic?
Papaya salad was decent
T. O.
Went with a group of 4, reasonably priced, really good food and good service. I will definitely recommend. It was rather busy so I’ll recommend booking in advance.
M. W.
Delectable NE Thai food and friendly owner.
C. H.
Yummy food at good prices! The service was great and the staff were very friendly and chatty. The pad see-ew noodles were a highlight.
D.
Great gem! Lovely staff. Very friendly and welcoming. Food was top notch. Definitely give it a go! Thank you for the great meal :)

Always a joy to visit. Friendly family run establishment that offers a different variety of Thai food than most. Really authentic and truly delicious.
N. N.
This place is fantastic. Food is great and staff are extremely friendly. The daughter and son make you feel like you're going to a friend's house for dinner.
S. P.
Excellent food and service here. I had chicken pad thai which was fantastic, and also their homemade sausage 'meatballs'. I look forward to returning.
J. F.
Really amazing staff and delicious food with some menu options you don't see too often in London. Only complaint is the portions are a bit small for what you pay.
N. J.
Like a lot of people I would say good food but the waiter walks the fine line between friendly banter and intrusive behaviour. I only went for a takeaway but would probably not endure a sit-down meal for that reason.
G. K. C.
Will visit you soon Uncle Thames 😜
T. h.
Great friendly staff. Service was fast and efficient. The food was so tasty with plenty if flavour and spices. Top notch
M. T. M.
Great thai food . Taste was a little bit spicy . The portion of food is enough for one person per plate . The price is value.
G. S.
Easily the best thai food in london with no close 2nd. I order from this place as much as I can whenever im in the area
e. m.
Staff were brilliant and eccentric making it a very enjoyable experience. Food was fantastic. Great flavours and was a great selection.

Very authentic - very cute couple working there. The Tom Kha Gai was delish and the story of how they got their start is very sweet.
A. G.
Great food, funny staff.
Food is authentic thai style, try the Tom Yam soup, it's almost as good as Thai Cottage in Soho
J. B.
Great food. Service very nice however waiting time was a bit too much. For their benefit. We came 10 strong for lunch.

Really nice restaurant, very tasty food, my only criticism is that the take-away portions are really stingy for the price.

(Translated) The best Thai I have tried! Very friendly welcome and cuisine like in Thailand. Authentic flavors thanks to mixtures of herbs and aromatics. Excellent sticky rice. It's Very spicy so don't hesitate to ask for a little spicy because it will still be quite spicy! Let the waitress guide you for the choice because they have specialties from northern Thailand that I did not know. Count 30 euros per person, starter, main course and drink
