Reviews of Feng Shui Inn
m. b.
Food was great. Obviously busy as in tourist China town and it being half term also. Customer service could of been better, just felt it was fill the tables to get money.
H. E.
Food was good. We liked the singapore noodles though it wasn't done w boneless spareribs like we are used to and the morning glory side vegetables with garlic were a nice healthy complement. I liked the original dessert of "water chestnut and goji berry jelly" that looks like pot pourri suspended in bubbles, with a faint taste (definitely share, the three blocks are big). Just thought it was inconvenient to prepay the wholemeal before we evengot to dessertbecause "we were on an outside table". Liked the heat lamp by window. Prices were high, especially just beers.
M. H.
Most definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants at the location with delicious Dim Sum menu and a vast selection. The ambience is great and the service excellent!
A. Y.
Delicious food freshly cooked on order, clean and beautiful decorated Chinese restaurant in London Chinatown. Courtesy service throughout definitely worth to re-visit when in the area.
K. U.
Great food and were able to help with a late table after leaving the Theatre, food was fantastic and staff were friendly too. Definitely will be back again.

Think we stumbled upon the best Chinese in China Town! I order salt & pepper beancurd at every single Chinese restaurant I ever go to but Feng Shui Inn's is the best I've ever had, as were their veg. spring rolls and noodles. The gift as we left was a lovely touch too and is now hanging in my hallway. Highly recommended and lovely staff too.
H. D.
Amazing place, great dim sum and very accommodating for vegetarians. The mushroom packages were juicy and delicious- the best I've ever had.
Great atmosphere and staff.
J. N.
Loved this little family shop. Menus are in both Chinese and English with dozens of photographs and many descriptions. Dim sum was great. Many types available here.
Toilets although downstairs were fine.
Two shops rolled into one. Red wall paint for Chinese luck. More soon.
V. V.
The started are the best. Try the dumplings and the Vietnamese Chicken spring rolls.
Prawn Fried rice is okayish. The drinks are bit overpriced but same as other restaurants.
W. S.
It's Chinatown but nothing we had stood out to me when we ate at the Fung Shui.
Big bill at the end as well, staff seemed rushed and short with a half empty restaurant.
You get charged for a doggy bag of left overs ( my wife loves cold left over Chinese in the morning!)
I had nicer food in a restaurant around the corner the previous time we went.
Not going back.
F. L.
Had a wonderful al fresco hot pot experience here on restaurant reopening day. Lovely staff and for outdoor dining felt like it had the best ambiance on the street.
We got split hotpot half spicy half bone marrow with 6 large dishes of items to dip in for just 34.80. Beers are a touch expensive but worth it for the well prices hotpot.
S.
We had takeaway and i found it quite pricey we paid £12.80 for sweet sour chicken with noodles. The food was very dry not much flavour I don’t think I’ll go again.
O. P.
The food is quite good and arrived quickly, has a nice cosy atmosphere, menus were a bit tired having been taped together. Service was quite quick. Didn't itemise the bill and rounded it up but not too fussed as it was only a few pounds. Nothing special but nothing wrong. No reason I wouldn't return.
I.
Coming from the North East, the food could not have been better and more reasonably priced. So happy this was the choice of many in Chinatown. Will never forget the meal I had, beautiful..
M. J.
Good food and quick service. We had 2 of the set meals menu.
Do not take the six seats table near the door as the draught is terrible at this time in Dec
G. M.
Very good food , lovely place if you fancy a Chinese meal in China town here you get a good quality and it's a bit pricey but remember you are in central London so not too bad, we had lamb, tofu ,pork and duck and some vegetables 😋 .... Although it was Friday night we didn't have to wait for anything 🤣 ... So good food good service ( friendly waiting staff), out side tables if you feel adventurous with the UK weather... I definitely recommend to you all
J. J.
Came on a weekend at night, food was pretty good, prices were on the higher side. We had 3 dishes and each of the portions were quite generous. From their menu it looks like their speciality is hot pot, so I’m wanting to go when it’s cooler to give that a go. Recommend if you want decent food, service isn’t that great ...
A. D.
Delicious food, attentive staff. Very busy but thats to be expected, all the staff work like clockwork, delivering food, clearing plates etc. Very efficient, friendly and impressed by all of them. :)
G. W.
The menu seems to be diverse and fruitful. The restaurant is szechuan style resraurant and the day i went there we ordered lots of menu like xo sauce noodle, spicy hotpot, intestine stir fry, fried aubergine and fried rice. I would rather say food is okay not that good or bad comparing to other chinese restaurants in the same area, this restaurant's, tastes not so significant than others
The toilet was also dirty, so dirty like they didnt clean their toilet to be ready for next customers. The floor was full of dirt and sands and some garbages.
By the way, i appreciated their service mind and smiley faces of waitresses.
s. c.
Great authentic Sichuan food! The xiaolongbao was also really good
Overall really enjoyed the meal
E. S.
Really rude staff and high service charges for scowls and side-eyes, gotta hand it to them the food is pretty good but the service makes it feel sour
J.
Stumbled upon this place, looking for dim sum for lunch. Absolutely wonderful! Huge selection, melt in the mouth and simple, clean surroundings. Visit, you really won’t be disappointed and you can sit in the window area and watch the hustle and bustle of china town get in with daily life as you eat. I’ll be back!
Z. A.
Good quality food... Average Pricing. Try their dim sum. But don't go on Saturday...packed.👍👍👍
J.
Good food and dimsum, but more on the pricier side. Payments are also requested in advance if dining outside.
Y. F. H. C.
Chinese food restaurant.
Quality Chinese food producing here, fresh and nice. But Chinatown’s still a traveling hot spot, so the price in here were very expensive. As below, the ‘fried pak choi’ (a kind of vegetable in Chinese) sells £11.80. It’s just a cheap dish and not suppose to be that expensive.(In China/Hong Kong, it just like a few pounds maybe £2.8-£3.5)
Not gonna encore as a Hong Kong dweller like me. But it a better choice for who that wanna try Chinese styled food in England.
T. A. -. F. L.
A proper Chinese dim sum place in China Town, London. The price isn't expensive, service is good. Special fried rice a little bit dry, but delicious. Will be back again.
M. D. M.
Good taste but pricey for small servings…
Vietnamese spring rolls recommended!
h.
a nice atmosphere with friendly staff and great food. lots of choice for meat & veggie options. will definitely be coming back!
C. H.
Average Chinese in China Town. Check your bill before adding gratuities as it's included but the payment machine asks if you want to add a tip. Thought this was very cheeky and sneaky
M. H.
Been here several times now. Always great food and very friendly service. Loved it
E. G.
I loved it, this is the third time I come, dim sum is great and we keep tasting New dishes every time
J.
It is one of the restaurants serving dim sum all day long so if you crave for a dim sum dinner, it is where you go. The service is definitely the highlight of Feng Shui Inn. Staff are much more welcoming compared to other restaurants in the neighborhood. But the food is average. A minimum expense of £10 is required for card payment.
B. R.
Lovely customer service. The chilli sauce is very spicy! We got a take away.
R. D.
Excellent customer service from all the staff especially Jane, who took time to talk to us. Food arrived in good time and tasted good, especially the lobster! Good space inside too. The Karaoke machine was awesome!
M. O.
Not the best Chinese food but at least they serve a huge amount of food for a cheap price
T. S.
Great food. Large portions. Value for money. Great atmosphere. Staff have fantastic customer service. Lively and lovely place to eat.
C. T.
Lovely tasty well presented food, good service would go again 😋
C. E.
Great food and service but 12.5% service charge a bit steep
N. S.
Was OK starter was little over cooked but very tasty
K. L.
Great Chinese food with great material and very good cooking. Great quality in dim sum and alI foods. I recommend to all my friends.
R. B.
Had the set menu all very good mix veg was a tad bland service was great
A. S.
Everything was fresh and they brought it quickly.
E.
A small wait as was busy through the Chinatown. Very pleasant service. Food was delightful. No rush to move you on. Will visit again.
B. L.
It was OK but nothing much more than that. The food, for what it was quite overpriced. The restaurant itself needs some proper work done. The big hole in the ceiling just above us did not add positively to the atmosphere.
M. L.
Attentive stuff and tasty dim sum! Also recommend the tea pots ans wonton soup.
S. M.
Food was amazing! Perfect level of epic and a nice atmosphere. Service was a little slow and didn't look very happy
Z. Y.
Not bad. Food is delicious. Price is quite alright for London prices.
K. J.
The food was so delicious. It came in a responsible amount of time and was great. The staff were nice, and intentive.
With everything that's going on, I didn't have cash to give them for a tip. I asked if it w could be added on the bill. They were very sweet about it and said it didn't matter :)
Sorry I couldn't tip you guys. If I'm back in London I'll come again for the dim sum and crispy squid!
U. F.
Amasing food especially if you would like to try hotpot!!! Strongly recommended!
D. B.
Excellent food and service! Cosy surroundings too.
리.
Actially, i am trying to be turned into vegetarian. There are so many vegetarian option.
D. M. (.
The food was on the pricier side, but it was good. Be aware that they don't accept American Express, and if you don't like contactless payments, DO NOT let them touch your card.
M. W. L.
Loved it, the best food I've tryed in China Town and great service too. My son and daughter loves their dumplings and buns. 😋😋
K. Y.
Lovely service and food was good too. Waitress who served us were knowlegeable and friendly. We sat outsude to enjoy a late sunny summer day. Sorry, forgot to take pictures, as ws too busy eating.
J. C.
Great food and service we will return
J. R. H.
Wonderful service and great food. Nice gentle background music and staff that remember you.
J. P.
China Town isn't somewhere I'd usually look for Chinese food - no, seriously its normally tourist level rubbish but this takeaway was the nicest Chinese food I've had in a while. We ordered some Cantonese dishes and some Sichuan. All cooked to perfection with shui zhu niu rou able to taste every flavour. Keep up the great work guys.
J. L.
Nice dim sum. Cold beer. Pricey for what it was x
F. P.
Dumplings were great. A portion was a little bit small, but they were amazing.
Crispy duck with pancakes was very good but missing option of sauce.
Main was very average, nothing special, which won't know the difference between wasaabi and this meal.
Service was slow.
M. A.
Definitely an experience. Worth going on multiple occasions so you can try everything
M. H.
Very quick service, good food. Toilets not the best
T. L.
Good food, chilled out place, great prices but the service is incredibly slow. Not sure if they only have one chef but our table of 4 each dish was served individually. IE, they brought mine, 5 mins later they brought my partners, I'm sure you get the picture. Its OK if you're on your own or a couple. If you're in a larger group its embarrassing waiting for food to arrive so you can eat together.
K. S.
Tried by chance on as visit to London. We had dim sum and everything we had was very enjoyable.
D. J.
Busy as usual but prompt service and good food
J. N.
Was not the best. Service was frantic and impersonal. They also added a service charge without telling me. I asked for the itemized bill and they took their time. once I got it and I questioned the charge they said it's a service charge. I asked what for they replied service. Ok then!!!!!! Not recommended
P. P.
Just had a lovely sichuan meal... The best in Chinatown imho... Go for the stir fried red chilli chicken on bone and water boiled spice & numb (sichuan mala) fish. Out of this world .
A. G.
OK food but over priced and no choice whether to tip.
C. K.
Great dim sums and the best customer service in all of Chinatown!
A. E.
Friendly and fast service, cosy surroundings but food average.
N. R.
The dim sum is to die for! I got the chives and prawn and couldn’t get enough of it. My server was excellent, very sweet and looked out for us. Great experience, thank you!
t.
Really had a great time and amazing food here!! It arrived fast and nice and hot. My new go-to place in Chinatown. The staff seemed really nice and have a great sense of humour..... telling us about ourselves when we said that we’d maybe had a little too much to drink before arriving and they didn’t hold back, adding: “Yes, I really do think you may have!” giving us a massive over emphasised wink and smile!! 🤣🤣
T. C. W. A. H.
Always love to be in London and to get the chance to eat traditional Dim Sum. Even though it was already 11 pm they still offered us a table and we were able to order Dim Sum. We had Singapore style fried noodles as well as different small dim sum variations. We especially loved the steamed pork buns. Everything very tasty and the price was good for London standards of course ;) the staff was also very nice and answered all our questions. We definitely recommend this place if you enjoy "real" Chinese dishes.
N.
The black been beef was very tasty and surprisingly spicy. Loved it. The best was the fried pork belly. That was delicious!!!!!
P. N.
Great ambiance good food
J. W.
This place was a solid choice for dinner! My date and I split one of the duck set menus and ordered some extras. Delicious food and great price! Thank you.
Y. O.
If you have come here because of Meteor Garden...you are Welcome! Ah Si is not here. But stay, please and eat. This place is always busy and for good reasons too. I've never had a bad meal!
R. V.
Normally quite busy during lunch, especially weekends. Food is good and they have a good dim sum selection that seems to be always available. Dim sum prices are comparable with other places but other dishes can be quite pricey. I would recommend it if you want some dim sum.
J. O.
Every item we ordered was amazingly delicious! Loved it!
N. D.
Not great, not terrible. Randomly picked from the intimidating number of restaurants in Chinatown. The food was average, although quite greasy. It was super busy, and the service not great because of it. It wasn't terrible but I probably wouldn't go back on purpose, nor recommend it.
J. R. G.
It was refreshing to be able just to walk in and get a table at a restaurant in Central London. Dim sum was ok, aromatic duck was particularly good. The rest of the food (fried rice, beef, chicken...) was disappointing. And more importantly, the bill was higher than expected.
O. M. (.
My favourite place in China Town, always does the best Char Sui puffs ❤️ 🥟
K. L.
Great value lunch options and quite filling. Karaoke rooms are decent value too if you want to try, including the food. Also very good spicy fish dishes.
Staff are nice, and it is comfortable seating and not too noisy.
A. M.
I love their food 🍲🥢🍜💯
R. M.
Possibly the best Chinese meal I've ever had. I thought Gars in Brighron was untouchable but the Feng Shui Inn changed my mind. Food (and drink) was incredible and the staff were superb. We will definitely be back
T. B.
Really good service .
Thanks as we were late in the evening .
C. H.
Did not meet expectations, food fine but not happy with the 12.5% service charge automatically added as we were felt pressurised to leave at 11.30, air conditioning on full which made everyone uncomfortable. On the bill our time of entrance was22.22 and exit was shown as ASAP. Be aware and check the competition.
i. s.
The best chinese food restaurant I've ever visited. warm and friendly staff, and the environment also clean and cozy.
S. W.
Every time I come to London, I must go to here for its delicious and traditional Chinese food. The best soup I tried ever!
s.
Doors were still open at almost midnight with a fast service and very nice food.
A. B.
It is ok, ok prices, ok taste, ok service.... its an ok place
N. R.
The dim sum is to die for! I got the chives and prawn and couldn’t get enough of it. My server was excellent, very sweet and looked out for us. Great experience, thank you!
C. K.
Lovely meal
K. K.
Very overpriced for what it was, but it was still a good meal.
F. W.
Have only ordered take away for collection, the food was great!
Y. O.
If you have come here because of Meteor Garden...you are Welcome! Ah Si is not here. But stay, please and eat. This place is always busy and for good reasons too. I've never had a bad meal!
H. W.
Great traditional food! Good service best salt and chilli ribs ever
N. S. B.
Enjoyed dining here
A. Y.
What a great restaurant located in the heart of London, Chinatown. It is wonderful to know that this gem is still serving traditional authentic Cantonese dishes mix with specialist Szechuan dishes when many have lost their identities... You can tell this place is good when majority of their customers are filled with Chinese patrons...
A.
Really good Chinese food, recommend to everybody. The crispy aromatic duck was amazing, but don't underestimate, half the duck is more than enough for 4 people.
R. S.
It never amazes me how inconsistent the quality of food is in Chinatown. This was no exception, food was average to poor. We had a mixture of dim sum and other menu items and the dim sum was disappointing. The best Chinese food tends to be away from Chinatown.
A. M.
Convincing regional Chinese dishes, with the most authentic Szechuan dishes outside of visiting Chengdu a personal highlight. Visited Feng Shui Inn a few times over the years and it has quality maintained each time. Probably one of the better choices in Soho's China town. Quick service even when busy in the evenings, reservations are recommended.
J.
Really lovely food . First time eating out in China town. Food was outstanding, would definitely come here again. Thank you so much 💓
s.
Doors were still open at almost midnight with a fast service and very nice food.
T. C.
I see a lot of bad reviews... I used to go here frequently and always received great service from a girl called Emma I believe who was from Malaysia originally. Place always had the great Cantonese staples I am used to from my childhood in Los Angeles.
M. m.
Without prior reading those comments left by other unfortunate customers. My experience with Feng Shui Inn dinning was quite satisfactory. A group of 12 people had a very nice meal and we do highly recommend their food and quality, We had a variety of dishes, including BBQ roast duck, special fried rice (sichuan style), egg white fried rice, singapore noodles, some steam rice, main dishes are sizzling lamb with ginger spring onions, kung po chicken, the list just go on. I have to say its one of the best food restaurant I have tried and we as a group comes to Chinatown on a regular basis. As for service, is good, efficient and attentive. Atmosphere is noisy from other dinners but who cares we create our own atmosphere. Overall, I will come again especially with a large group as they put extra staffs to serve us. Prices, on par with West End really, 20-30 pound or 30-50pp with drinks seem to be fair considering high rent and rates in these areas. I know, cause I ask every restaurant in this area, chinese, indian, italian, french etc... happy dinning :-)
S. C.
Great food and a lovely location
n. c.
People complaining about the tiny portions, get with program you’re in central bloody london what do you expect. This Chinese is as good as any other in China Town so take it or leave it. It filled us up nicely before my wife’s tattoo.
S. W.
Every time I come to London, I must go to here for its delicious and traditional Chinese food. The best soup I tried ever!
J. G.
Pity meal not so good and rip off prices as added a service charge and.looked fir a tip
J. H. (.
Wanted somewhere offering vegetarian for my daughter. I had the dry hot chilli chicken with aubergine and garlic bok choi as sides, she had wok fried mixed vegetable dumplings and we ordered more of those. All very polite, efficient service in nice location with Chinese New Year theme. Seem to specialise in hot chilli but all was good and we enjoyed our meal.
K. K.
Very overpriced for what it was, but it was still a good meal.
M. B.
Nice deco with a gold fish pond as you walk in. Staff friendly, good sense of humour and strong knowledge on menu. Reasonably priced, tasty food and large portions.
S. P. (.
As always a lovely meal, staff are always friendly and welcoming, social distancing well organised which is only to.be expected
Highly recommend.
A. A.
Great food and good environment
D. M.
Having seen the reviews of vincent I can only guess he had two unlucky experiences or he his on a personal trip. Anyway, leaving that one side, I totally diszgree!!
This is a rest. I and my chinese friends have been visiting at least once per week for the last 5 years at least. For £11 for two dishes between two people plus free tea you can have a very good lunch. Evening prices for dinner are obviously somewhat higher.
I have always found the service polite friendly anc pro active. This is a family business of longstanding high repute and enjoys my full confidence.
I recommend this rest. wiyhout any hesitation.
N. E.
The portion of food was very small compared with similar dishes at other restaurants. Service and atmosphere was good.
B. T. L.
Food not bad. But as with most Chinese restaurants in Chinatown, they will rush you to pay once you are done with your meals
P. E. (.
One of my favourite Chinese places. The set duck set menu is fantastic and very reasonable! Soooo much food here! Love it!
l. y.
Good food
F. W.
Have only ordered take away for collection, the food was great!
H. W.
Great traditional food! Good service best salt and chilli ribs ever

S. a. T.
Great sharing banquet
s. a.
Went with no reservation, seated immediately, service excellent great chat with staff, food excellent not expensive and would highly recommend
A. G.
A great little hole in the wall Chinese place with slightly expensive food. Overall though still quite good but not exceptional Chinese food
s. k. s.
Good food. Been there before. Typical China town service. Usually visit when in London. Perhaps, time the interior is refurbished?
F.
Lovely dim sum. A little pricey but is London and freshly cooked. Good service
A. V.
Standard Chinese in China town, dim sum is a little too wet, char siu very average, the crispy duck possible a notch above average.
J. F.
Very friendly though the covers are a bit squeezed. The dim sum had one or two items I'd not tried before and the tab was reasonable.
M. S.
Picked this at random on stroll through Chinatown having not seen any reviews. The crispy duck was actually pretty good and it was the best thing out of what we tried.
S.
A really nice and friendly Chinese restaurant in the heart of China town.
Large menu, good food and good service.
A. N. G.
Fantastic Chinese restaurant! Delicious food. Cosy and seemingly authentic interior. Will visit again.
T. Y.
Friendly manager, and service was nice. Food is good value and in the center of china town

R. G.

Very nice hotpot with lots of food included. Staff were very helpful and lovely!

It is overpriced, for the same money I ate 3 course menu in a korean restaurant
A. B.
It is ok, ok prices, ok taste, ok service.... its an ok place
R. S.
Very good Sichuan food in the heart of Chinatown. Busy and noisy just as a good Chinese restaurant should be.
O. B.
Great food, good service. Almost needed to be rolled out of there I was so full
F. W.

J. I.

T. G.
Excellent ambiance, very busy happy staff, Lovely food.
I. G.
Top quality food and excellent service, must come back as this is the genuine article.
J. A.
Food was great, shame about the service - reminded me of the 70's when you went to Chinatown to have your food thrown at you.
C. W.
Good food and service but a little on the pricey side
I. S.
Food ok. Service average. Quality to price ratio not the best
S. B.
Delicious dim sum till late (but cheong fun finishes at 5pm)

(Translated) Excellent value. Very hearty. Friendly setting. Overall the dishes are tasty. Maybe a lack of flavor with the Sweet and Sour Chicken.
The staff are helpful and friendly.
(Original)
Excellent rapport qualité-prix. Très copieux. Cadre sympathique. Dans l'ensemble les plats sont savoureux. Peut-être un manque de saveur avec le Poulet aigre doux.
Le personnel est serviable et sympathique.

(Translated) My favorite restaurant in Chinatown! Family run, very kind, very good and characteristic food. More than acceptable prices for eating in central London. The menu does not understand anything but there are the guide drawings. To try!

Il mio ristorante preferito a Chinatown! Conduzione familiare, molto gentili, cibo molto buono e caratteristico. Prezzi più che accettabili per mangiare in centro a Londra. Nel menù non si capisce nulla ma ci sono i disegni guida. Da provare!

(Translated) Dim Sum can only be given a passing grade. I do n’t know if it ’s because of the price increase after 5 o’clock or the price is more expensive. The price is about 5.8.
The sand bag does not flow, the filling is semi-solid
Shrimp dumplings are generally not very big
Dry fried beef is very oily
Service attitude is pretty good
(Original)
点心只能给及格分 不知道是不是因为5点后去的还是就是涨价了 价格比较贵 一份5.8左右
流沙包不流 馅是半固体
虾饺一般 个头不是很大 中规中矩
干炒牛河很油
服务态度蛮好的

(Original)
Bekijk gegeten, goed Chinees restaurant. Vriendelijke bediening, al blijft het altijd een beetje behelpen met Chinezen, wat moeizaam. Maar de bedoeling was goed, en het eten - nogmaals - heerlijk.
