Reviews of Fish - Borough Market
A. T.
This is my second time in 7 years visiting the same restaurant for British fish & chips. Not the best, but definitely above average. They have a selection of fish to choose from which is good. I would recommend the Halibut. Place is conveniently located and the full glass interior makes the places very bright and welcoming.
A. H.
Decent
I ordered classic cod & chips with a side order of salad instead of mushy peas.
The batter was crisp, the fish flaky. The chips were very crisp on the outside ( I suspect they were double cooked). The portion was reasonable. I left full.
I had no complaints regarding food quality but believe there are at least 3 chippies in my area that could give it a good run for the money without paying Borough Market prices.
I know service isn't cheap and the staff were excellent. But it did not add anything extra to the friendly face and efficient service of my locals.
Overall enjoyable.

Last minute decision to try a walk in on a Friday. We were lucky and got a table. We both had the beer battered fish and chips. My Halibut was amazing. The mushy pea portion could have been a little bigger. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food and will be looking forward to a future fish and chip 'treat' here.

have been going to fish in borough market since 1999, always a good selection of fish and lovely wine list. Have only given 3 stars as despite advertising they are open until 10pm, the waiting staff asked me at 9:05pm while I was waiting for my other dinner guest to arrive if I could order as the kitchen was closing soon. When my guest arrived we felt rushed and didn’t really enjoy the meal. I did make this point to the restaurant staff.
S. L.
We ordered two different dishes. The portion of the fish is too massive therefore we decide to share between two of us. By the end of our meal, we just don't have any space in our stomach for desserts. Freshness wise, this could be one of the best quality you can get outside of Billingate Market. I'd defintely will return for the food but there is barely any service during our dining experience, getting attention from the waiter/waitress can also be a challenge.
M. M.
Nice sit down venue in the busy Borough Market with basically a standard fare fish n chips. While the are accolades from 2017 up on the wall, these taste standards have not been kept up.
It's not awful or bad.. Just normal and honestly nothing special for the prices.
On the plus side, service was decent enough and the ambiance of the market bustling around you is great.
I'd recommend this if you really need a sit down venue but otherwise there are better choices in the market.

This is quaint little restaurant near Borough Market and the outdoor seating is comfortable/warm. This was my very first meal visiting from the States. I had no expectations for the food in London but I was pleasantly surprised at how seasoned my salmon and potatoes were. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was the most AMAZING thing I ate on my entire trip. I absolutely loved it. It was warm, not too sweet and extremely moist. This place is a favorite of mine and I will be back!

Wow. Fish at Borough Market was fantastic tonight ! Perfect special dinner after a brilliant day.
We spoilt ourselves after a long day sightseeing in the cold. We sat at the bar and watched the chefs cook , brilliant !

It really was a 10/10 and we had the best time. Food was incredible, best lobster and creme brulé I've ever had, and you can tell the fish is super fresh from @jarvisfishmonger . Staff were lovley and attentive too. Especially our waiter , a tall slim gent with grey hair tied back . He was so lovley .
Great experience thank you !

This place looks fancy and up market, with a pricy menu, but we found the food wasn’t that special, so your just paying for the location and the atmosphere.
The service on the other hand was good and the staff were friendly.

Best Fish and chips I ate EVER. I went there two years ago and I still remember the place, actually I'm planning to go again in a month or so.
I chose the Haddock and it was delicious, the crispyness was just perfect. I don't usually write that good reviews but that place definetelly deserves it.
Highly recommended :)
J. H.
Absolutely fantastic food! Reasonably priced too. One of my fav eateries in Borough Market!
A. J.
Fantastic food and service. Great wine list and without a doubt the absolute best stick toffee pudding I've ever had... and it being one of my favourite puddings, I've tasted a fair few!
The fish is always fresh and served with pairings that complement it well.
Good service and ambience.
T. D.
Lovely place really nice restaurant! The service was very friendly and fast . The fish and chips was alright I mean alright . For 22£ fish and chips I expect more . So the only let’s say issue for me was the price !
M. E.
This restaurant is in a nice part of town and has a great vibe. The menu is varied which was great; lots of different fish to choose from which is not often the case at other seafood restaurants. We were a table of 4 and we ordered different dishes; all agreed that the meal was ok, nothing special but prepared really well. The place was let down by its very poor service. I sat for half hour waiting to order a drink and we were constantly having get staffs' attention to order more. They forgot to bring my friend's starter and we had to wait a long time to re-order and so cancelled it. To compensate they gave her a plate of bread! I would visit again but secondary to a visit to Borough market. The service needs to improve.
k. o.
Had a great lunch with an old friend. Menu was excellent - reasonably priced and well presented. Wine list also had plenty of options. Good service - attentive without feeling that we were being hurried along.
The only downside was the unwelcome monotone throb of the piped music which made conversation a bit of an effort. The atmosphere was lively enough without that pointless and distracting addition.
That aside - would thoroughly recommend.
l.
Myself and 2 family members had meals here. A delightful place. Intimate and warm. The food is perfect we each had different things and loved them all. The portions are good, the chips were extra crisp as asked, the service is amazing. We were very well looked after. Thanks for making my birthday extra special folks.
B. J.
Spectacular dinner of oysters, mussels, lobster, and champagne. Perhaps a bit extravagant but totally worth it and very good value given what we ordered. Plus well covered and warm for an outdoor COVID safe dining venue.
M. P.
Excellent lunch here today. Great olives and sourdough bread to graze on while we waited for our mains. He chose the grilled mackerel which was cooked just right and was served with runner beans. The hollandaise he chose to accompany the dish was really good. I fancied the skate loin with beurre noisette and capers. It was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and they get brownie points for welcoming our dog too.
If you get a chance to visit for the last two days of the eat out to help out campaign you absolutely should.
S. T.
A most enjoyable dining experience, delicious fish & chips, mussels and smoked haddock. Spoilt slightly by the over-zelous waiter who kept clearing our table despite bring asked to hold back.
H. G.
The food here is pretty good, I think what sets them apart is their selection of seafood, it’s a real struggle to pick something from the menu because there is so much choice. Don’t skip the pudding, sticky toffee is to die for. The attentive staff is a big highlight for me too. I had the monkfish which was pleasant but over priced for what it was.
D. W.
Pleasantly quiet after lunchtime rush at 2pm. Took my father and we had 2-course set lunch for £24 each. Both enjoyed: fish soup, sardines on toast, fish cake and fresh Mackerel and a couple of glasses of red. Friendly, attentive service. Good location.
S. G.
Huge variety of fish and seafood dishes: steamed or grilled. My favourites are fish soup, grilled lobster and sourdough bread. A bit pricey. Good service. Been visiting for quite a few years now — definitely recommending this place for lunch in Borough Market area.
m. d.
The price might sting a bit for fish and chips but hey, this is London, and it is a fish restaurant, not a chippy. Still, what you get (at least what we had!) is very good. Fish was fresh and fried impeccably. Light batter, crispy, delicious. You kind of expect that I guess in a place called Fish!
Chips good. What was a pleasant surprise were the sides. Great tartare and curry sauce. I have never liked mushy peas but was converted by the ones I ate here!
Friendly and helpful staff.
A shade under £90 for three people with a few drinks.
Beer selection not great.
H. A.
Very nice restaurant. Food was delicious and portions were big. A lovely place in the heart of London with good views and friendly staff.
J. D.
Overall a very good meal. The chips were good with malt and vinegar. They were not the best chips I’ve had on my visit but in no way substandard or bad, still very tasty. The mushy peas were tasty, but I have less experience with those so I will not attempt to grade their quality. I personally liked them, and so did my wife and kids.
The fish was very good but, as can be seen in the pictures, there is a small burnt spot in the batter from frying. This threw off the taste a bit, but the fish itself was in no way over cooked. The fish (cod) was moist, flaky, and tasty.
So a 4/5 and definitely worth a visit.
T. L.
If you're visiting London and Borough Market, Fish! is worth trying if you want to sample Fish and Chips. It is expensive but the quality is good. I've eaten there a few times now. I took my mum recently and she loved it. Mum ate fish and chips, my partner had the fish pie and I tried the vegetarian dish which was polenta with steamed spinach and a poached egg. For dessert we shared the sticky toffee pudding and a decadent chocolate mousse. Everything tasted delicious. The only let down was the house lemonade which tasted like water with lemon juice. It would be great if they could improve that. There is a take-away hatch next door if you fancy eating on the street.
P. S.
I chose badly. The seared Tuna was not special. The oysters however, were fabulous.
S. T.
Surprisingly elegant and refined fish restaurant in Borough Market with its roots in its excellent fish and chips. The stall next door sells the takeaway version. The sit-in version elevates the concept and adds a menu of other fish-based recipes. For example the fish soup was excellent, with deep flavors and generous portion. Yes this place is expensive but it's worth it. Service was also very friendly, helpful and efficient.
M. L.
A great view and quite a cozy place, although the music is too loud, unfortunately, it’s difficult to hear each other. Their clam popcorn portion is a joke! Very small, greasy and generally disappointing. The fish soup is the usual British slush that can contain pretty much anything, but this one had a strong fish taste and was a bit spicy, so was OK. I would not have it again though. Quite decently sized portion too, so consider having a starter instead of a main. I was very hungry and had a soup and a main and this was way too much. The skate with mash, black butter and caters was very rich and absolutely delicious! But quite heavy too. All in all, it was a good experience and I would return to have fish here again.
E. A.
The first thing I did once I landed in London was to try the famous fish and chips. We walked around Borough Market and found ourselves in Fish!
No wonder they have been awarded by their Fish and Chips plate. You can choose between different fish options (since I’m not a fan of fish O chose Haddock) and it comes with delicious French fries, tartar sauce and mushy peas (the best)
I went there twice in my visit to London and was amazed by the taste both times.
L.
What a great place!!! I love the fish and chips and really enjoyed the Hake. Lovely atmosphere and good vibes. Can feel a bit busy and there wasn’t much space around the place during lunch time on a weekday but other than that, it is a nice little spot. Tables can be found slightly further in the market. Would definitely go back and try other foods.
A.
The food was great.
The service wasn't bad, the waitress was quite attentive initially, maybe a bit too much, but towards the end of the meal we were left waiting for a while to order dessert. I appreciate it's tricky to balance this but it was a bit 'all or nothing'. Having said that we enjoyed the meal.
B. A.
Love the fish and chips here!!
Yes, it’s on the expensive side but it tastes so good 😋 - not had a bad fish and chips yet and love the battered fish specials.
The best in London!
R. L.
Best fish and chips I've had in London. Been here two out of four visits to London in the recent time.
Chips are done right and the fish is perfectly cooked. I've only gotten the halibut and I highly recommend it.
The caipirinha was very tasty as well. Not that many wine or beer options
Lack of decent vegetarian options (which is why I haven't been here every visit) make this a four. Otherwise it would be a five IMO.
M. W.
Not a big fish and chips fan myself honestly but I decided to try this while passing through the market. Their special fish was delicious, and the portion was large. Excellent crust. Chips seemed a bit soggy and not crisp. Lots of people (tourists at the time) were ordering that morning.
f. o.
We had the loveliest time here! Food was sooo yum and the staff were so friendly and accomodating! Thank you Sophie & Allan! 🥰
D. L.
We came here for a late lunch during a very crowded weekend at Borough Market, which I suspect is par for the course. For some reason it took awhile for a table to be cleared for us and we had to wait about 10-15 minutes. We saw a few empty tables that looked ready to be used. 🤷♂️
The cod fish and chips we had was fine, but a little overpriced for what it was. But the place being so touristy probably didn't help.
It also took awhile to get the bill as we were the last people sat outside and the wait staff didn't seem to check much as to how we were doing.
L. E.
Fish! Has two outlet, one for dine in and one more for take away. Pricing at take away is not much diff from dining in with cheapest Fish&Chip to be GBP7.95. Portion of fish a bit small for price you pay. We had wild haddock for (promotional) GBP9.95... taste was ok. Chips aplenty. Wished it was like GBP5.50 instead...
A. S.
We enjoyed a nice dinner in this classic fish restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly.
E. K.
Really good seafood. The swordfish club sandwich is definitely a highlight. The wait staff are great too, very friendly and helpful team.
J. W.
Award winning fish and chips didn’t disappoint. Their fish of the day when we were there was sea bass and while I wouldn’t choose that any other days, I found it gave a very fleshy and meaty taste to the fried fish which I appreciated. My friend found the fish made the crispy layer too soggy too quickly but I did not have an issue with it. Perhaps we should just stick to cod next time ?
J. J.
Food is so fresh and delicious, we order cod and salmon which are so good. Salad is okay. But the price is quite high compare to another restaurant with the same quality. Nice staff.
G. T.
Great place for fish and chips in borough market. The chips are really nice and so is tge sausage in batter😋👌
D. D.
First time there and I thought it was lovely. My guest was a little disappointed by their creme brulee which was a bit tepid but I had no complaints!
D. L.
Really, really tasty fish & chips (I often find it to taste bland, but not here!) as well as other amazing seafood dishes. Both the soft-shell crab sandwich and fish pie are delectable. It's great to get a quick bite from their stall and eat it in the market space, or eat in too. The food is quite pricey for a chippie, but the flavour won't disappoint and the portion sizes are massive.

We visited Fish Restaurant for dinner after an afternoon of shopping at Borough Market.
The restaurant was not busy so we were able to get a table for 4 without any issues.
I have visited this restaurant on many occasions and wanted to share the experience with my party.
Fish follow the current Tier 2 restrictions with reference to same households and Social Bubbles.
The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful.
For starters we ordered the Sourdough bread and Anchovies as well as the Soup.
Both dishes were very good especially the Anchovies which I highly recommend.
For our mains we ordered the Soft shell fish which was battered and served with chips.
We also ordered the Battered Haddock served with chips and Tartare sauce which was very good.
Our final main was the Fish Pie and a side dish of Samphire, the fish pie was not up to the usual high standard consisting mainly of mash potato with very little fish and vegetables.
This we raised with our waitress who took our complaint to the Manager. The Manager and staff were all very helpful and offered to replace the dish with something else from the menu.
The offer was declined as we were pressed for time however they were kind enough to remove the cost of the fish pie from our bill.
Great service indeed and my thanks to the waiting staff and management team at Fish.
For dessert we ordered the Sticky toffee pudding with ice cream which came in generous portions and was very good, we also had the Cream Brulee and the Apple Crumble with Custard which was also very good.
I would certainly recommend all the desserts.
The meal was accompanied by a very nice bottle of Gavi Di Gavi.
All in all we had a great time and a good meal.
The waiting staff must be commended for their helpfulness, friendliness and overall good service.
We shall certainly be visiting again.
C. I.
Really nice fresh food, tasty but a bit too pricey for a street food market even tho this is a restaurant. Anyway, I believe they deserve the fish award because everything was fine during my lunch.
M. T.
Conveniently located and friendly service but the food is average. The fish and chips in the reataurant isn't as good as the take away stall beside the restaurant itself. Good wine list.
R. C.
I went to this restaurant last night with friends who booked the table. It's rare that I am taken back from service, but this restaurant stands above the rest with Service and food.
One of our party is Celiac (so Gluten intolerant) plus a Vegetarian to add to the mix. I called in advance and asked if there was any options for her. The lady on the phone was so kind and professional. They did in fact have a Gluten free Menu and have a vegetarian dish.
On arrival they were welcome and friendly. They dealt with the Gluten/Veg request in such a lovely and no hassle way which was impressive. The food was fantastic.. to top the night off one of the attentive waitresses must have heard that it was our friends Birthday. We hadn't said at all. They bought out a dessert with a candle and all came out and sang Happy Birthday. It really made her night and she was so happy. This is what makes this restaurant stand out because of people who care about the people visiting. A huge thank you to everyone/staff for such an outstanding night!
M. C.
Dinner was ok. Felt expensive for the quality. While oyster and other starters were good the mains were a let down.
C. B.
Food was incredible! Little pricey, but that's to be expected! Halibut was perfectly cooked, HIGHLY recommend the Thai Fish Cakes!
C. Y.
The restaurant and the dishes look amazing. However the fish was abit dry and the meal was pretty blend for my taste. Overall a pretty good experience.
W. T.
Good fish and chips. Went at night after market hours. It was not crowded inside, very spacious. The venue is in Borough Market too.
Z. P.
Great, lively place. I'm not a foodie but fish was amazing for me. Soft with crispy skin. Service was good, too.
C. Y.
The fish and chips in this place are good, although the price is higher than others.
T. B. L.
Fish! is located at Borough Market. They have a restaurant as well as a take out stall. Even at the take away stall, there was a proper kitchen to prepare the food.
There were no tables or chairs at Borough Market. If you buy the food from the stalls and not the restaurant, you have to stand and eat. My legs were really tired from touring the Tower of London , and walking from Tower Bridge to Borough Market that morning. I am 'dying' to sit down. Fish! provides a long table with two long benches for their take away stall. I was able to enjoy the fish & chips while resting my feet. I chose to buy my food the take away stall as the price is almost half of that in the restaurant for the same/similar food.
I like the fish & chips at Fish! than Poppies. The fish & chips at both Fish! and Poppies are crispy on the outside and piping hot on the inside. Both serve chunky and crispy chips. However, to me Fish ! tasted nicer.
I had a lot of food at the other stalls at Borough Market. I was full before dining at Fish! yet it tasted good. I find the fish flavourful enough.
I was very hungry when I went to Poppies but it just tasted quite nice to me. I had to add table salt to my cod fish at Poppies.
With this, I concluded that the fish & chips at Fish! is more tasty than Poppies.
It is interesting to note that my hubby finds Poppies more tasty than Fish!
J. C.
Fish and chips is nice... But the way to get the order and food is unorganized!!! After queing to pay for order, you still need to pass the order for the counter guy in the next slot to arrange your food which is by luck...
B. I.
Excellent fish restaurant. A bit pricy but worth it
G. W.
The fish was delicious. Lovely views of the cathedral. Calamari to share was lovely, recommend the large portion if there's three or more of you. For mains go for any of the fish and chips and it will be like being transported to the coast, so fresh and cooked in beer batter to perfection. They're continuing the eat out to help out in September so do yourself a favour!
B. V.
I've had much better fish and chips in neighborhood joints. The batter was very dry, chips also. Also got a feeling of pretentiousness, which is off-putting.
L. H.
Good fish and chips. Nice setting. Good service. Prices high.
A. W.
Fantastic up market fish and chips restaurant. Great quality seafood, had oysters and bruschetta for starters and haddock for mains. All extremely nice. General very be very relaxed with very attentive and knowledgeable staff.
K. B.
Lovely meal, a little too much cheese on the fish pie
C. S.
Good food and ambience..
l. d.
Went for lunch, felt very covid safe meal was superb we go whenever we are in London
Z. S. M.
I visted with a couple of dear friends last night and enjoyed three amazingly delicious (although a little skimpy) courses. Totally professional staff, thank you vey much for your service. A credit to London.
S. B.
Happened upon this restaurant and the service was great, the background music sealed the deal that we were going in (80s R&B playing low), food was great and I tried cockles and samphire for the first time . I will be going back for the "indoor' experience. Thanks for a great atmosphere and experience.
A. T.
Good fish restaurant in the heart of Borough Market 🐟 The courses are simple but good 🍴 Prices are a little expensive due to the restaurant location but sounds good for an exception in a week 🙂
S. Y.
Fabulous variety of fish dishes! Really big portions but reflected in the price.
A. B.
Fanbloodytastic. It was gorgeous, we had Skate and lobster. Could not fault it, cooked to perfection. Yum!
E.
Good variety of menu options, friendly efficient service.
E. L.
Great restaurant! Their menu is quite full and the fish is (obviously) delicious! Their staff was very friendly and their « Covid protection measures » reassuring and strictly followed by all staff and customers.
They also have a full gluten free menu which is always useful for me (saving me from long conversation to debate what I can or cannot have ;)
Definitely recommend this restaurant!
L. V.
I ordered a Tuna steak and it was just fine. The environment is fine but there were lots of flies. Well, probably it is summer.
P. S.
Modern restaurant at the heart of Borough market. Unsurprisingly focussed on fish, with a few other options. The fish is fresh from their own fishmonger, it is excellent. It's very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and it all feels very Covid safe.
E. B.
Lovely fish, amazing chips, polite staff....shame about the 12.5% service charge nearly £15 on top of the bill, which is bit steep for carrying 4 plates and four bottles of beer. Look for the small print because we didn’t
2020 update we walked along the embankment for some exercise and decided to pickup some fish and chips from their takeaway.. better than expected beautifully cooked fish .. cooked while we waited... amazing chips, my partnered chose calamari..also beautifully cooked. Heartily recommend their little takeaway venue. 5 stars for this
V. O.
Great ambience, service and food!!
J. H.
Eat here about once a month, Great service, great location right in the hustle and bustle of the market. Food is fresh, mussels were so delicious! Take away chippy outside too but nice to sit in. Go online always look for offers as they still doing 50% during the week. Highly recommend!
r. n.
Situated at the heart of Borough market, one of best place to have fish n chips.
R. B.
Great food with a vibrant setting although a little pricey.
L. O.
Love this restaurant. It was very crowded and buzzy. The staff are very friendly and the service is good. The food is fresh and delicious. Good size portions normally. My partner haddock was very large. My turbot was small and though it said it came with butternut squash. It was just a smear of butternut squash. So that was a bit disappointing. We had two starters and two mains and no drinks. The bill came to £85.78 with service. Not cheap but worth it if you don’t have turbot!
C. G.
Lovely food. Friendly and efficient staff
R. D.
Borough Market is a great place to eat and Fish is one of the best places to go. Great choice of food from basic (but good) fish and chips to something a bit more imaginative.
it can get over-buy when the market is in full swing though so best to book at busy times.
S. G.
A second good meal here. Cod cheeks with plenty of samphire. Could have done with a little more sauce. Stole my dining companion ‘s tartare sauce which was delicious. Waitress was helpful although we were advised had the table for two hours when in fact they needed it after 1.5 so desserts felt rushed.
L. G.
Exactly what you expect a restaurant in Borough Market to be. Quality food, good service, expensive but worth it 👌
M. T.
Best Fish and chips I've had. Seriously worth the $20. I would eat every day for at least a week. The take away is cheaper but the restaurant has an amazing decor and the service is top notch! Loved the experience and feel lucky to have found it. You won't regret going here.
M. C.
We had the lobster and the squid with pork sausage.
The food was decent I personally don't think much of lobster however my son and his dad enjoyed it (not a scrap left)
The sauce on the squid would be great with a bit of chilli (my preference).
The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive.
The drinks have a bit too much ice however I only had a G&T.
The menu has meals to suit every budget and pallet.
Overall it was lovely and filling
R. M.
I didn't know the market was closed on Sundays ,so we decided to try this place. I have to say it has been the best fish and chips that I have ever had in London. We didn't have a reservation but we didn't have any problem. The service was just perfect and the food was lovely. Although, there is anything else than fish so avoid if you don't like it!
S. V.
Great food, well cooked and good service. Situated in Borough Market it's great for a meal and walk around.
b. m.
I had the best experience of meeting the main man on Friday, at Furness fish stall . He got the largest lobster out for me then picked out 4 dived scallops then Shetland mussels snd samfire
Amazingly fresh great service and will be back next week
Thank you
R. B.
Good fish and chips, you can choose between a few types of fish to fry.
M. Á.
Very taste fish and chips, one of the best in London, award quality.
E. G.
Service 5*
Food and ambience 5*
Fresh and tasty cocktails with great presentation!!
Came here for whole lobster, grilled squid and fried calamari-all of them were delicious and generous portions!
Our waitress Maria was very professional and attentive.
Thank you guys, we will definitely be back!
L. D.
Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had in my life! Definitely worth a visit but very pricey. The service was good and the food arrived quickly. They're open later as well, and are close to a few hotels in the area
K. A.
The fish and chips was excellent. Cooked perfectly and came to the table quickly. First time having mushy peas, but I think they were excellent! Server could have been a little friendlier, and a little expensive, but overall a great lunch!
J. S.
Great restaurant for fish! Plenty of different options and great fish and chips! Very popular on Saturdays. We went there at lunch without booking and they offered us a table before another booking for a bit more than an hour. It wasn't a problem since we were served really fast in less than 10 minutes! The fish and chip was really good!

6 star for the takeaway, 4 star for the restaurant. The takeaway is absolutely the best fish and chips in London! Prepared super fresh, clean oil and good menu. Haddock, cod, plaice, whitebait, seabass etc all really good, great batter and really crispy. Chips are I believe double fried for perfection. Cooked to order so always hot. Curry sauce is not great and non traditional. Be careful pickpockets operate in gangs near there, so look after your bags, dont be distracted by people with maps etc (often women). Buzz card offers for locals in restaurant but not takeaway (which is best). Worth the trip
T. C.
Taste just ok. I don't like their vinegar.
A. R.
Visited on a Sunday lunchtime. Delicious, fresh fish, cooked beautifully. I had the skate wings and mash, all of which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The calamari starter could have done with a touch more seasoning but the aioli was delicious, so really it didn't matter. Service was exemplary and the price was on the high side, but not unreasonable given the quality and portion sizes. Couldn't fault it!
N. N.
Surprisingly good restaurant, with fresh and succulent food. Once you are inside you want to taste the menu immediately because of the attractive flavour of the ocean you can smell from the open kitchen. The atmosphere is nice and friendly and the service - excellent. They have a great selection of fish, including oysters and lobster, tuna burger and traditional fish and chips. You can eat three course meal for around €45. They offer children menu and Sunday brunch.
N. J.
Food was good
B. H.
Extremely good food, great sitting watching the food being prepped
J. K.
Better than Gordon Ramsay fish and chips. Order the red fish. It is okay
F. D.
OMG! I love this place...you'll find people from all around the world, eating, buying, playing etc. I love the crowd diversity and all.
T. Y.
Takeaway service open during Nov2020 (UK - Lockdown2). Had Halibut & Chips (£10.95) with their homemade Tartare sauce... delicious!! I usually behave like a Millenial on Instagram and take a photo of my food but on this occasion, unfortunately, it was hot and smelt so captivating- didnt have time and just tucked in! It was THAT good. I have been previously to the restaurant (great food, service then too!). (Tourist tip for foreigners/non-Londoners .. drinks in Shard followed by quintessentially English Fish and Chip dinner!) In short: RECOMMEND!
A. R.
I've been a customer since around 2005 and could eat at Fish! every day. The menu is so extensive and appetising, with so many options for those of us fascinated by the delightful subtlety of seafood.
They also really care about their customers; I had a query this year which was treated with respect and interest.
The restaurant itself is vibrant inside, in a great location, and always seems busy. There are plenty of wines, and service is attentive.
A splendid seafood restaurant.
F.
The service was very slow and our main dishes came out before our appetizer and lastly the drinks. The fish and chips seemed to be the plate of choice, I ordered the special fish which was greasy and full of bones. The grilled fish was okay, but wildly overpriced for a simple piece of fish. Nothing seemed fresh, all of the vegetables were soft.
D. T.
This place with it's atmosphere, prices, stuff really kicks - if you are alone, with family, colleagues, and you love fish.
The good: as it is at the market place, it will give you a nice atmosphere. Their lobster is very nice and affordable at London prices. Fish of the day, always nice and fresh. The design is somewhere between a market hall, industrial hall and a restaurant... If you want fish'n chips, better walk 50 meters to one of the small buffets on the market, but for proper a la cárt food, take your seat here.
The bad: London weather on the terrace :)))). Otherwise, I've been here during my business trips at least 6-7 times and I was never disappointed. Keep going ....
J. R.
The best fish and chips ever, I'm a fish and chip s fan so this place is heaven for me, maybe prices are not very affordable but a little treat now and then wont make me poor, the staff is aaaamazing! They do go out of their way to make you feel especial , I went with 2 children and they were always looking after our table because they can be a handful, we didn't have a booking but they accommodated us anyway with a limited stay time , will definitely be looking forward to go back! It's a fish place so you get to smell.... fish, so beware 😁
P. M.
Had dinner with my company here...it was alright but not sure I would pay these prices with my own money.
A. K.
Fish! is located conveniently inside of Borough Market right on the waterfront. The glass-encased restaurant is a lovely venue for a group to gather for dinner. We had no problem walking in for an early meal on a week night with no reservations, and enjoyed two different styles of fish and chips.
M. B.
Been here a couple of times. Always good fish. Nice to get away from the mAdNeSs of the food stands outside.
A. C.
Great service, best fish ive had in awhile! Would definitely recommend and will be back x
b. b.
Great service, the fish and chips were great. I went at a non busy time to avoid the crowds and thought the atmosphere was perfect. This is a great place for fish (in general) a little above market price but you pay for the location as well!
O. A.
Great fresh fish, good service and lovely wine. I drink red.
T. L.
The main portions were very good quality and fair portions. The skate wing was excellent. Skip the appetizers, particularly the crispy shrimp, which was barely any shrimp and quite greasy but with enough spicy mayo for 50. Service was friendly and quick.
C. W.
Very good fresh food with incredibly nice staff.
I went with my parents, brother, sister in law, and 11mo old niece who they happily accommodated with just-off-the-printer colouring sheets and crayons.
The cockles appetiser was fantastic and, because there were so many of us sharing it, they doubled up on the portion size with no extra charge! It was the first time my father had ever had cockles and he absolutely loved them.
My mother got the seafood salad, which she liked but I wasn't a fan of. Three of us got fish and chips (one plaice, haddock, and halibut). I liked the plaice the best but I prefer lighter fish in general. My father is a halibut fan and loved his - I found it too meaty. My brother got a fish pie, which he was a bit nervous about because the fish/cheese combo is a bit odd to us but he loved it.
Overall, the food was clearly freshly made - I enjoyed seeing the kitchen right in the middle of the restaurant and watching them prepare some of our food - and high quality. Definitely worth another visit.
M. C.
Borough Market is fun but a bit chaotic. For a good sit-down respite, try this excellent seafood restaurant. The food is fresh and there is a great variety of seafood. I especially like the fish cake with beurre blanc and wilted spinach. I have not found better fish cake in London, and the delicious sauce and spinach make this entree a complete meal, perhaps with a piece of bread to attack the sauce.
S. C.
The fish and chips was amazing. They’re slightly on the pricier side however definitely worth a try for a special occasion.
M.
Fish isn’t too bad. However really expensive and unfriendly staff.
J. B.
Very good but lost star for small fish portion given the £8.50 price.
Really very enjoyable, didn't have to wait long, was served piping hot and super fresh. But a small fish portion disappointed, as did chips that were too crunchy - this is probably to cater for tastes of foreign visitor.
S. S.
Delicious food but small portions & very overpriced. The crispy shrimp starter is miniscule & can be eaten in 30 secs (and is served with a disproportionately large amount of mayonnaise). My husband ordered the standard fish & chips which was very nice and the haddock was well seasoned, but didn’t justify the £18 price tag. My main was similarly tasty but wasn’t substantial enough and should have cost £10 less to account for the small portion size. Ordered a dessert as was still really hungry and it didn’t disappoint - but for a sticky toffee pudding, the sauce was less sticky and more watery. It still tasted good and was a decent size. However in any other restaurant it would not have cost more than £4.50 and was nearly £7 here - the £2 version you can get in Sainsbury’s is far superior! This is also one of those places where you get stuck with a non-optional service charge at the end on the bill to add insult to the injury of being ripped off (the service was good but it would have been nice to have the option of deciding how much of a tip to leave, instead of being told).
Good food, but be prepared to spend a lot and not quite feel satisfied in any sense afterwards - unless you have money to burn.
J. P.
The fish and chips are delicious as you'd hope from a fish restaurant, if not a little overpriced. I have also had better fish and chips at good pubs for less. The fish pie is actually a bowl of cheesy mash potato (which isn't always a bad thing!), but don't expect a load of cream and fish. I tend to end up here in the late evening when it isn't so busy. It's OK for an OK dinner. Wouldn't recommend as a date location as the tables are PACKED in.
S. O.
Lovely food, super staff
M. W.
Great food, great service, great experience.
T. L.
Great overall if you want to get some decent seafood.
The reason it didnt get 4 or 5 stars is the price tag, the complicated menu and the limited choice of beers.
Apart from that, we enjoyed our starters and mains. It's not one of those busy and crowded joints with a long waiting list or queue. So it was a very pleasant evening for us.
T. S.
Super home made fish and chips 👌🏻 nice atmosphere and good service
W. M.
Went up to fish to apply graphics to the windows, charlee ,mum and sister are the most loveliest family you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. With that also goes for the wonderful team that work there too.
Half way through the day we was asked if we would like something to eat and boy was I glad that I said yes!! Because from the service to the amazing food I was definitely overwhelmed by how fantastic this place is, and how highly i would recommend one of the best restaurants and food.
Even just the coffee with the little bottle of warm milk (you know the ones you used to get when you was small) put a smile on my face, the perfect touch.
Thank you so much guys and gals
X
J. S.
I left my wallet in the restaurant last night, the staff not only kept the wallet, they cancelled my cards and left a message with my bank to tell me where I could pick up the wallet. I would like to pass on my most sincere thanks and commend the restaurant staff for their honesty and professionalism. It very rare in this day and age to find such service. By the way it was a lovely fish supper as well 👏👏👏👏
C. G.
I was craving some fish and chips when I stumbled upon this place. They said they had won an award for best fish and chips so it was settled.
Honestly, I'm not really sure how much better the fish was than anywhere else, but it was definitely cheaper than getting some at the pub. I'd say I saved about £4 by going here instead of a pub.
They also have a lot of different fish types here. My brother ordered the grilled swordfish and said it was good.
The one major drawback is that there's really nowhere to sit and eat your food, so we ended up eating on the side of the road. It's a huge issue, but be prepared.
R. W.
I decided to give this one a try on my last visit to Borough market. Long line but worth the wait. Very tasty and a huge portion that I could barely finish. Hot fish and chips, you cant do better than that. I will be back. They have a restaurant and a stand where you can buy takeaway. i went to the stand and ate outside people watching.
G. R.
Great starters. Amazing, simply amazing grilled fish mains. Only dessert menu leaves one wishing for me - rather mediocre brownie and creme brulle. But definitely worth a visit for seafood mains!
K. R.
Lovely, attentive staff. I had the daily special (halibut, clams, samphire and spicy salsa) and it was exquisite. Peach Bellinis were pretty tasty too!
C. P.
Food was good, but we waited more than 45 minutes between courses, and the mussels were served with the wrong sauce. No courtesy check was carried out, so couldn't correct. Waitstaff were not rude, just uninterested. For the price, which is high, we expected better
L. G.
Without hesitation go here!! Food fantastic. Experience is cool BUT if you hate crowds I would go early morning when it opens. It can get a bit too much because where you turn there are hordes. If crowds are your thing, go go go!!! And bring money because you'll want to try lots of things.
C. T.
Great place to eat Iin Borough Market. The fish is delicious! Their staff was very friendly.
R.
As a London cabbie and tour guide I often book my clients in to fish for their famous fish and chips...
e. v.
Great setting on a rainy day since you still get to enjoy the market atmosphere and views. Get here early if you want some fresh limited selects of fish. Also a short walk to the Globe Theater if you are going to catch a show.
S. R.
Our group of friends have returned here for the nth year as it's a really good place to meetup and have a leisurely meal and drink. Always find the food good and the service prompt. The set menus do provide sufficient variety to keep everyone happy. Overall recommended.
H. D.
Great in everything, venue, service, fish and drinks. And not too crowded .. Thank you.
N. D.
Excellent tasty dishes served by friendly staff. Variety of drinks available. The toilet flush might not work. However, nice venue with many sightseeing attractions in the vicinity with the river Thames , London & Tower bridge, Francis Drake & HMS Belfast warships , Hays & Butlers Wharf & Tower of London. London Bridge underground station is round the corner.
G. H.
It was over £100 per head for two courses each, a dessert to share and a couple of bottles of wine and a couple of espresso martinis and a cheeky g&t or two. It was probably the drinks that hiked up the bill! The food was tasty and a good size. Lots of options on the menu and easy to eat healthily or be a bit indulgent depending on your preference.
U. W.
Food was excellent as was the wine . The best was that we got there after a play at the Globe and when we sat we realized we may miss the last tube cross town. we had the staff rush the food and they were great about that , not to mention they helped us figure out the best way home (all the way back across the city) on the tube. Great service.
Z. L.
Best fish and chips in London. Loved their whipped tartare sauce as well - so flavoursome and light.
A. D.
This is one of our favourite fish restaurants in London. The atmosphere is casual but service is careful and polite. The fish never disappoints in quality and freshness and their menu has something for everyone - lates favourites are the grilled squid with chorizo and the swordfish club sandwich.
A. R.
Great place to visit at the weekend and then people watch both in the restaurant and in the market. Food and service is great.
I. J.
Not sure where the bad reviews come from, as every time I have been, the food has been excellent. Recently went with some friends, haddock and chips all round. You would be struggling to get better anywhere.
A. Y.
This is nice place to sit and have your chips and fish when in Borough Market. The fish was hot and not too doughy. The service was excellent even when it was extremely busy. We had several good beers while we were there.
M. B.
One of the best fish and chips ever... but a little bit expansive
S.
very nice wine list. The Stellenbosch Chenin blanc was very smooth. I ordered an octopus salad which came in a plate that was pretty much the size of an ash tray . Well seasoned but missing potatoes- which I pointed at to the waiter and who still chose to ignore me.
The crab bun with chips was quite sizeable however I didn’t feel battered crab in a bun and slaw works so well. It kind of erodes the sweet taste of crab.
The waiters however are very attentive.
It is overpriced for what it is but the food tastes fresh.
O. H.
Fresh and nicely grilled lobster. Tasty mussels and cod cheek. Enjoyed it.
B.
Great Oysters, Fish & Chips, staff very nice.
B. L.
My friend and I had a nice time starting at 5 pm one weekday. We were ready to dine after foregoing lunch earlier. The service and food were good, and the restaurant was filling up by the time we left. It is near the Tate Modern and The Globe Theatre with the market next door.
J. C.
They are very proud of their National Fish and chips award but in reality their fish was fresh but only rated at 3 stars and their chips were disgusting and very boring 2 stars. I was very disappointed with their claims and put off by the very expensive prices.
J. H.
Excellen fish and chips - very tasty and very well cooked. The service is very good too considering how busy the place usually is at lunchtimes. The staff are always very friendly as well.
V. D.
My friends from Mexico came to London for the first time and they requested they want to try "the real unique delicious fish and chips" and I am glad that I didn't disappoint! They absolutely loved it
V. T.
I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere here. This restaurant is made out of glass basically, excluding the furniture, so you really feel like you are in the Borough Market, but in a little oasis inside a glass restaurant. It also located near the cool brick arches typical of the London Bridge area that makes you feel like you are 19th century London. Inside the kitchen sits in the middle surrounded by a bar seating area with the tables around it. The fish dishes are really great! They give you a list of fish to tick off and choose how you want it: grilled or steamed. If seafood is not your thing, they also have a small meat selection. This place is not cheap, but not too expensive either. I would go back here with people from out of town because of the great ambiance. But as a local now, I will save this for special occasions. I highly recommend FISH!
I. Y.
Amazing food and incredible service.
The one issue with something not being cooked to our liking was dealt with swiftly and politely.
The varied menu makes it hard to make a decision.
J. W.
Fish and chips was tasty and fresh. Good and clean restaurant with good service.
A. S.
Efficient service, excellent fish dishes. The menu has been understandably pared back, but maintains variety and each dish was delicious.
N. T.
Service wasn’t that great and food was ok .
L. M.
A most superb place. The food was good, the service excellent and the venue was perfect.
N. D.
Lovely food great service
S. S.
is good, every time I want to eat fish and chip I come here with my family
Not the best Fish and Chips (in my opinion the peas needs basic seasoning, such us salt and pepper rather than plain boiled) but the fish club sandwich is fantastic!
I love the environment, open kitchen and customer service is great
B. M.
The great fish and chips is just the beginning when it comes to this restaurant. They have a large menu, full of amazing seafood dishes. You won't regret it if you visit the place, it's excellent.
M. C.
Unfortunately I had a bad reaction to the mussels here, but I have to mention that my server (Trevor, tall , South African , I think, blonde, glasses) was pretty much the best thing.
He knew his menu & gave very helpful advice.
If every restaurant in London employed a Trevor dining out would be ALOT easier.
Service 10/10
Food tasted amazing but I didn't keep the mussels down.
🤢
E. E.
Nice atmosphere, very nice and attentive staff. Fish great
K. S.
Came here on holiday after the recommendation of numerous folk we asked where the best fish and chips were and it was very good. A bit pricey esp factoring in USD conversion rate and the fact that we asked for tap water and were charged $7.
L. D.
Fabulous, bustling location, nice menu and helpful staff. We ate outside on a chilly day, but the overhead heating kept us warm.
a. v. d. e.
A big fan of Fish as it's right in the middle of Borough market so great to soak up the atmosphere. A great spot to come for a family lunch to enjoy their delicious fish dishes. The fish pie is lovely.
P. A.
I came with a group of friends specifically for Fish & Chips. We used a rating system that I recently learned, these are the results using a five-star rating system:
Quality of the food ****
Quantity of the food ***
Value for money * (£18 Haddock fish and chips! But I'm conscious we are paying the "London Bridge area" price)
Service **** (staff were nice and attentive, service was quick)
The "je ne sais quoi" factor * (this is the "I don't know what" thing that may make you come back to the place)
Average is 2.6 🌟
In conclusion, a place that we won't actively look to come back, but that we would visit if not other options are available.
S. F.
We had a wonderful night here, at Fish Kitchen. Our dinner was great and the food was delicious. I love seafood, if prepared right of course. And this place definitely succeeds to deliver a lovely experience on a full stomach.
T. O.
First time at fish! And definitely won't be my last. Service may lack some but food is absolutely amazing. Try sitting at the counter to watch the chefs in action!
C. E.
Fish n chips made just right. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. If you're looking for the customary greasy, soggy fish this is not the place for you. Tonight I'm trying the sardines and skate wings. Crossing fingers
L. O.
This review is for the restaurant, not the kitchen for the market where you grab a quick bite to eat.
Came here for dinner and even though we had reservations at 5:30 and showed up at 6pm, we didn’t need it. They had lots of empty tables. The one we went to was under Borough Bridge. We ordered the fried calamari for appetizer and for our main dishes, we ordered steamed Sea Bream and steamed Line caught wild sea bass (bass is from Spain). The fried calamari was lightly fried and I thought the sauce was okay but the calamari was rubbery and that should not be the case for a seafood restaurant. I originally was going to order the Sea bass from Canada, but changed my mind. We ordered the fish steamed because I thought it was the best way to test out the product and let the product speak for itself. I do not think beer battering the fish and frying it does the fish any justice. I had sea bass with the herb and butter sauce and my wife had the Sea Bream with the salsa verde sauce. In terms of how the fish were cooked, they were cooked perfectly. The meat flaked right off. Despite that, everything else was a subpar. I had 5 fish bones in my fish. That’s unacceptable for a place that specializes in fish. I did try my fish with a little of the butter sauce, but I thought it made the fish too buttery and overpowered the product. The salsa verde sauce did match the Sea Bream but it didn’t elevate the dish to a new level. The presentation sucked. I could have gotten the same presentation and quality of food for a lot less money at Redondo Beach in the States. Because this place was more on the pricy side, I thought the meal and presentation would have been more elegant and flavorful. The vegetables on the side were not seasoned and just steamed, just soggy vegetables. The service was excellent at the beginning, but deteriorated towards the end of the meal. My glass of water was never re-filled and our waiter never even paid attention to it. I didn’t bother asking him to re-fill it to see if he would ever notice throughout the meal, he never did. That’s just terrible. As other reviewers have mentioned, the 12.5% discretion fee is not a discretion fee, it’s a mandatory fee. I came here with a party of 2 and they still charged me that fee. Hence for future reference, this fee is mandatory. I don’t mind paying the fee because they do list it at the bottom right corner of their menu, but my waiter did absolutely nothing!! I would never come back to this place and I do not recommend this place for anyone. STAY AWAY!!
P. B.
I am going to be the dissenting voice here. They are generous with the fish size and chips. Tastewise, mediocre at best. Quantity over quality. Nothing to rave about.
G. G.
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, fresh oyster and smoked cod with mash was sublime. Definitely will be back.
S. C.
It's a bit pricey for what you get, which are slightly above average (and small) fish and chips.
S. D.
We took away a traditional fish and chips that we could eat on stools in the market. Delicious fish, chips seasoned with salt and vinegar. It was super good and we had enough for two :)
김.
I love this place... lots of delicious food...
Z. C.
Fish and chips are okay. Nice fluffy fish but little flavour, the chips are a bit undercooked. Not really worth the price, is just functioning on tourists!
f. b.
Nice food but at the end is too expensive for what I've get...
J. G.
Good fish and chips, but seriously overpriced! £17 for cod & chips with mushy peas. The wine is also really overpriced. Saying that I did enjoy it. Be prepared to spend £££'s.
R. S.
It's good food and well presented but the venue is not a conducive environment - too many tables and poor acoustics make it feel loud and crowded. Staff were friendly and efficient. Also perhaps a little overpriced.
S. S.
I didn't really eat there food but really needed the loo, in this area not many businesses allow you to use their WC for free, so a big plus to the ladies that greeted me and facilitated me.
S. Z.
Been to Fish many times always fantastic food
and service .
location is vibrant and buzzing. it's not cheap but quality and freshness justifies the price.
M. C.
Great food, great service.
K. P. A.
The fattest and biggest mussels ever :) the sauce not the greatest I ever eaten but I believe it's vary from restaurant to restaurant. Good service and very clean place.
J.
Very nice place and very good food and great service! Had lunch there and tried the fish and chips.
M. L.
The haddock was fresh, sweet and delicious!
L. H.
When went to FISH! I tried the soft shell crab burger which is really good! Recommend it for those who wants to sit while visiting Borough Market.
J. W. (.
Brilliant. Food and service beautiful
A. A.
I have tried many fish and chips place in London and this is definitely one of the best. It's not cheap but it's worth the price and the wait. I'll come back.
P. B.
As the name says this is a place to go if you love fish. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for and you can get most kinds of fish and shellfish, from yummy fish snd chips to oysters.
E. H.
good simple fish dishes in a vibrant atmosphere. popular with the local office crowd. simple fish and chips is always a safe bet whilst there's always something there for the more adventurous.
N. N.
Outstanding service. Excellent food. Fresh and well prepared. Lovely outdoor seating in nice weather.
P. N. L.
They have a sign up that states they are the traditional/best fish and chips. It was ok, but expensive and just had places to sit by the dumpsters.
J. C.
Finest food, very kind employees, consistently great ambience. They charge fair rates and the food quality is very good. Keep up the good work.
K. T.
Excellent food and service. Try to go beyond the fish and chips. You won't regret.
S. L.
I was not entirely convinced by the quality and size of portions. It is ok if you are in a rush and need a quick bite, however there are better alternatives on the borough market available.
J. R. (.
Good place and a lot of choice! But a little expensive, the wine too. And too noisy, difficult to talk with your friend without screaming...
J. S.
The most suculent fish and tartar sauce was lovely brilliant service will be returning
a. h.
Great food and buzzy setting. Didn't go much on service. But saying that I would definitely go back again...
J. R.
A firm favorite, the service and food is always good. The seafood is very flavorsome, and they now have a mobile fishcake and chip stall outside for takeaways.
B. C.
Very pleasant staff and although nearly full at lunchtime there was sufficient space to get between tables. Inside and outside seating areas, and not exorbitant pricewise.
J. M.
We got there the winning award 2017 fish and chips to take away. Deserved prize!
Is £9.95 take away, £17.95 to take in.
A. S.
Awesome and accommodating staff! Food is good not great .. it’s a great place to get away from the crowd stampede but still enjoy the Borough Market ambiance
F. Q.
Great food. Nice restaurant. Waiters were efficient and prompt but could be a bit more engaging with the customers
M. j.
Highly recommend the takeaway fish is fantastic chips are excellent! And prices are pretty reasonable.
J. C.
Exceptional service compliments great food.
S. d. l. T.
Amazing fish and chips ! Slightly expend yet definitely worth it ! Good quality, nice service!
K. R.
The most delicious fish in a long time I’ve had! And lovely cosy place in the market 🥰
A.
Great service. The food is ok
M. P.
Gets better and better every year. More food and more visitors. Ends at 5.00 pm so go early not to disappoint. MP
S. E.
Perfect. Waiter attentive, host was pleasant, food was superb. Will be back to dine again.
K. O. M.
Nice location in the middle of Borough Market. Huge menu. Service was very lacking when we visited. Long waiting for drinks and food
A. M.
Best fish and chips on the planet, I hear from the locals!! This wall is close by, take a moment to go pay your respects to Winchester geese
S. C.
Nice large restaurant in great location. Terrific seafood based menu. A little pricey.
S. F.
Fantastic fish & chips.
J. S.
Why is there cappuccino served cold? I complained and then they claimed that due to health and safety they couldn't serve it hot! Never heard something so ridiculous in my life.
J. H.
Wine is a bit pricey, but you're paying for a top location. Great service, delicious food.
T. L.
Lovely restaurant. Excellent food and wine selection. Service was great too. Highly recommend.
A. C.
Great food. Amazing staff.
A. C.
Fantastic fish restaurant. Food cooked in the open. Great staff and service.
A. P.
one of the best fish and chips restaurant in London! DO NOT MISS THE EXPERIENCE
R. y.
Nice restaurant with great fish dishes, always a long wait, located very close to London bridge station
H.
A bit over priced but excellent location and reasonable food.
C. T.
Amazing products. I like to go early, buy mid day its very very busy I can't deal with crowds. But it has the wow factor.
s. c.
I like the asthetics of this place. Food was OK and though the staff very helpful, service could have been speedier.
s. p.
Decent food, but didn't quite meet expectations for the fish, given the name!
K. M.
Excellent place for fish and chips especially at the takeaway chippy!
R. W.
A good place for an afternoon meal in the summer sunshine. The fish is usually excellent (if a little overpriced, but this is Borough Market).
D.
Well a bit pricey but the food was great and the service was with a smile 😃
L. P.
Fish pie was to die for, with potatoes, mushrooms, large pieces of salmon, and cheese. Great service, very friendly waiters.
F. S.
Paella very popular
G. B.
Great service and excellent quality fish. Good price for what you are getting and worth it
P. C. (.
We liked it, the food was good the apple juice ,was very good ,it was very well designed so thank you for your hard work .🥴🤓😸
O. W.
I had good (but not exceptional) tuna nicoise and sticky toffee pudding, but it was very overpriced. I'm also not sure it agreed with me.
J. H.
Boisterous bistro atmosphere. Top end of what I’d like to pay for fish and chips but it was absolutely delicious
G. G.
Really nice food. Have had a great lunch there a number of times.
S. S.
Really good cod fish and chips
Maybe not the cheapest, but you'll enjoy a very nice location in Borough Market
P. T.
An amazing menu, superb food, attentive and welcoming service. Will definitely be returning.

As the sign says - fish. Brits like to leave skin on generally. Fresher fish is usually that where you ask to take it off.
