Reviews of Garden Rooftop
L. C.
We hosted an event at Garden Rooftop, the staff were more than accommodating, the drinks were perfect and the food was delicious. The view is absolutely incredible and we couldnt have been happier with their hospitality. I will be coming back here, a wonderful spot for a cocktail at the bar or a meal with friends. Thank you
M. F.
It was a great experience. The waiting staff were friendly, explaining and helping us with the menu and bottomless brunch offer.
Food was amazing, dessert as well. Quick service and a very nice view. Definitely I will go back as soon as possible

Awwwwwww that was a really special Brunch! Loving absolutely everything down to the wallpaper in the bathroom. Beautiful views, what an atmosphere and special menue. DJ and saxophone now that's what dreams are made of.
M. V.
Absolutley amazing!
My 1st time here. The best bottomless brunch I've been to. Brilliant entertainment! Live DJ & violinist. Amazing friendly service. Had the best time! Coming back soon!
V. C.
The venue is clean, fresh and with lovely views of london. However that's where it stops for me... the service was slow and not very attentive as I asked to have capers removed from my pasta dish but this request was ignored. Also the ravioli was hard and seemed undercooked!
The music is also very loud and i had to shout to have a conversation and could hardly hear what was being said to me.
No request to scan for NHS track and trace no temperature taken upon entry either?!
H. C.
Great view of London plus some pretty ok food. It’s not a must-go, but if you’re already in the area and looking for a place to eat, then maybe worth it
S. H.
Took my son here for dinner was nervous having read the previous reviews, however am I glad to say we didn't have experiences other mentioned. Food and service were good, views were great, enjoyable time had.

Wouldn’t have expected such a great find in such a touristy central area.
+ Stylish and incredible views right in the centre of London.
+ Not packed despite it being a Saturday night which was really unique.
+ Food was tasty and special without being super expensive.
+ Great wine and awesome cocktails! Anywhere with great named ones is always a winner.
+ Not a pretentious environment.
- The one in Clerkenwell feels so quirky, off the beaten track, really special and a real find. This one feels a little watered down and so central. Risks becoming a tourist place.
Overall really really liked it, staff were super friendly and helpful and could have stared at the views for hours.
A. S.
Beautiful views, delicious cocktails and a lovely vibe! Highly recommended!

An amazing hidden pearl in the crown of London's rooftop bars. My absolute favourite from the menu was the Orangery cocktail - refreshing and bold taste, served with a 270 degrees view to the city's skyline. You can see all your favourite buildings and have a nice, relaxed lunch at an affordable price. The experience is 100% worth it! It was spacious and beautiful, it was all great!
G. D. E.
Nice and lively restaurant to take a break with views.
The menu is not wide and is based on brunch options. The portions are not so big but the flavours and friendly staff made a perfect experience.
The entrance is not oblivious but once you are in the hall, you just have to follow the link signals. Take the elevator to the top floor and enjoy the views
J. W.
Lovely venue with friendly staff. I have previously been here for drinks in the evening. This was first time here for food. There was a varied selection of mains ordered and I personally thought the duck confit, slow cooked lamb and the pan fried cod were the favourites. Our waitress was really helpful and gave us recommendations. Highly recommend, it's still a relatively new opening so you should go before everyone realises how good it is!
J. R.
Nice place with good views.
A bit difficult to find if it's your first time going, it's a little entrance.
Emily gave a nice service and attention.
Music was just in the bar, I guess they had problems with speakers.
C.
Although the views aren't the best from a London roof terrace, the interior, staff and ambience is. Food and drinks are well priced and presented. Menu is creative but not overcomplicated with a short wait time for food. Would go again.
J. P. G.
Amazing view of the City of London. We had brunch here on a Sunday and the food was superb. I recommend the Poached Eggs with Smoked Salmon on an English Muffin, Steak and Egg Salad, and Warm Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream.
V. N.
Great view and environment, but a bit pricey (as is usually the case with similar places in London). For special occasions, I think it's a pretty good choice. Booking is recommended but beware they might ask you for a refundable deposit to make a reservation.

Nice place and view, cocktails were good (although pricey) but food was very disappointing. Everything appart from the black crab ravioli was average, ordinary and not very tasty in contrast to the price which was high even for London. We could have had a much better dinner at home so we may go again for drinks but certainly not for dinner.

Best Valentines Dinner ever 😋

What a wonderful place. Great views, Mediterranean feeling in November in London! And the breakfast was truly exceptional. Very very good. Hands down recommendation to all travellers - and locals alike.
L. K.
The amazing place with skyline view. Atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. Staff is friendly and pleasant. Brunch menu quite small and it was not a lot of things from what to choose, but food was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Definitely, I would come back the second time. :))

beautiful spot to have a break from the bustle of the city.
we stayed at assembly hotel, so visiting B&H garden room was the easiest decision for breakfast!
our waiter was very happy to accommodate for a vegan diner. i ordered crushed avocado and toast tomatoes on toasted sourdough, with a glass of fresh orange juice - both were delicious.
the interior is an effortless sicilian vibe, mixing raw materials and beautiful furniture with plenty of greenery. it’s bright and airy with lovely views from through their floor to ceiling windows. a perfect laid back atmosphere to be for breakfast or brunch, i can only imagine it’s even more amazing at night when the city is shining.
R. D.
I arranged a birthday party here at relatively short notice here. They reserved a beautiful table in the corner of the big glass windows and both the guests and birthday boy were blown away with the place and view. Fantastic service as well, they even took care of lighting the candles on the birthday cake and getting it to the table on time. They also happily gave us extra time beyond our booking time as well. Everyone including myslef had a great night. Highly highly recommended for the stellar view and service. Will definitely be back.
G. F.
Very lovely tapas then tagliatelle for mains. Amazing views and good atmosphere.
J. S.
Nice bar/ restaurant on the top of a building just few minutes away from Leicester Square. Beautiful view and relaxing atmosphere, as it is not overcrowded. They have food, cocktails and great non alcoholic options! Be aware that the dragon tea is not a cuppa but a kombucha. Great service. Perfect for an evening with friends, to treat visitors or a date!
A. B.
I had a table booked for my 30th Birthday! We arrived on time but there was a bit of a wait (we didn’t mind) the gentleman at the door was very kind and accommodating! When we entered the bar we were welcomed by a nice lady who showed us to our seats and let us know that someone will be with us to take our orders shortly! We ordered bunch of cocktails and they were delicious, (our waiter made some good recommendations) we had selection of tapas and they were soo delicious!!!! The views were definitely a WOW factor! I will recommend this place to all my friends- it’s just lovely! The staff, the drinks, the food and the VIEWS- can’t fault it!
S. K.
We’ve had our Xmas party in B&H Garden Room and what a great idea that was! It was a bit loud place as we were seated very close to the bar (the corner tables looked more private) but we had a loads of fun. Restaurant is great, has a lovely view and food was delicious. Staff was very helpful and nice too. We’ve been served by an amazing waiter (I’ve been told he was from Italy, unfortunately I didn’t get a name) and I wanted to say Thank you! Very helpful and great! Would definitely come back again.
J. P.
Nice rooftop bar located on 10th floor of assembly hotel. Views are great and staff are friendly. Slightly inattentive though as had to wait a while to get served as they were not that busy. Cocktails are great though and well priced for what you get
E. L. G.
Bourne and Hollingsworth has opened a floral paradise on the 10th Floor of the Assembly Hotel on Charing Cross Road. This gorgeous rooftop bar in London is surrounded by plants and flowery prints with stunning 180 degree views.
The small but floral cocktail menu is worth checking out. We had a Rosellini with Belsazar Rosé vermouth, fresh raspberry and pomegranate topped with bubbles (£9). The Allotment Spritz with Oxley gin, Aperol, St Germain elderflower, fresh lemon, Real Kombucha Dry Dragon (£10) was our favourite. It was light and refreshing and went perfectly with the brunch dishes on offer. We tucked into a Vegetarian breakfast (£10) with poached eggs, beans, halloumi, avocado, mushrooms and tomatoes.
There are a number of mocktails, hot drinks and fresh juices to choose from too if you don’t fancy an alcoholic tipple.
The venue is absolutely gorgeous and feels pretty special in the bustling London West End. The best bit is that it remains affordable for a drink taking in the lovely rooftop views in London.
L. P.
Such a hidden Gem. Chris the manager and our waitress (sorry name forgotten) were amazing. GF options galore, very knowledgeable about the menu, wine. Location is amazing, views stunning. Will defo come again. Thanks for a top night
A. S.
Good space, the cocktails were good but it took forever to get the cocktails ready.
C. B.
Went here for brunch with my boyfriend and another couple, we all had so much fun. The food was good and the staff never stopped topping up our prosecco. We will certainly visit again.
P. S.
Nice little gem hidden away at the 10th floor of a hotel.
The view is nice but food selection very limited.
Good for a drink but that’s about it.
R. v.
A warm and charming environment. Elegantly serviced food full of body and flavour. Great view over London.
C. V.
We had a lovey brunch with friends . Food and view were perfect! Will return
R. A.
Ask for Jason. I love Jason. Apart from Jason… as a Londoner of 8ish years I’ve never seen the skyline from this side. Drinks are excellent, and Jason will pick the right drink(s) for you. So so friendly in a fancy place but isn’t pretentious whatsoever.
A. D.
Location is amazing and views are great as well. Doesn’t get any better smack in the middle of London.
Food wise the menu is pretty classic and simple, prices are contained which is good.
It’s a restaurant that wins by views and location and not by its food.
M. E.
It's too many tables for such a small place, and it's too much noise, but in the end it is a nice place to meet with your friends and have a good time. The staff is polite and ready to help.
S. M. B.
Lovely view. It's nice to be able to go out on the terrace.
d. d.
I don't understand all the rave reviews. Yes the view is pleasant and the food is 'good' (not great) for the price. Problem is the place needs a deep clean, the tables, chairs and floors are grimy, not from a one off busy day but from long term lack of cleaning. The staff are polite, but overall it has the feel of a cool cafe rather than a restaurant. Give it a good clean and change out the grubby furniture and it has potential. The free water was gross, not sure if it was straight from the tap and unfiltered, or filtered and the filter needs changing, but it was undrinkable.
J. R.
Very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Food was delicious!!!
S.
A lovely bar with beautiful views, the hostess was very cold and uninterested in anyone - quite unpleasant really.
The waiters very friendly, but inattentive. I had to get up twice to get someone’s attention to order drinks. Espresso martini was fine and the second cocktail was nice enough.
Would come back for the views and the ambience, but upgrade your staff or train them in hospitality.
S. W.
Drinks were excellent and you are surrounded by lovely views in a relaxed atmosphere. Value for money is pretty good as well. However the service whilst friendly was unprofessional. Mains served without any cutlery. Person responsible for cloakroom and bag collection taking the opportunity to have her own date and evening drinks. Eventually coaxed into getting our coats but forgot our bags. Interrupted her date again to go get our bags. Staff not rude and apologetic when mistakes were made. Having a drink and date when you should be working is funny but also grossly unprofessional for an establishment of that quality.
D.
When I visited this place over Christmas, it had been so long since I had last been to a Cocktail bar that I really didn't know what to expect. The views across the city were amazing, the staff were extremely friendly and the cocktails (especially the chocolate based one) were delicious. Would definitely come back again.
J. Q.
We had brunch here and it was a great experience. We had our one year old son with us and the staff were incredibly friendly with him! The food was first class (and very reasonably priced) and the views were stunning! We would definitely go back!
R. C.
Great view, sunspot, nice brunch food, lovely for a meetup with friends
S. A.
Sweet views! Good service! Very forgettable food.
B. B.
Had a lovely time here!!! Our experience was made wonderful by Smilte she was so kind and lovely. Would come here again a hidden gem of London!
E. L.
Beautiful venue with great service, and stunning views of London
k. j.
The view here is superb but I wasn't impressed with the drinks at all. In attempts to be fancy the selection was mediocre (mocktails and soft drinks)
The food was nice, but I wasn't blown away. Also some people In our group had to wait ages for their food to come. I think their orders were forgotten somehow...
R. k.
Great views of London skyline. Fantastic service & cool vibe
P. H.
Well what can I say, another absolute triumph from Bourne and Hollingsworth. The Garden Room is amazing and even with the most that plagued London the views area amazing. Virtually 270degrees around. So was there with my bestie for one of the soft opening trial runs and you would never believe that this was a trial run. The waiting staff were attentive without being overbearing, friendly and with a silent presence being there when needed. The food was stunning, congratulations to the chef and all the kitchen staff sheer genius. The bar staff for being efficient and Providence us with mouthwatering cocktails, a great wine selection and anything else we needed. Service is exemplary and the atmosphere welcoming warm and a great place to be. This is a gem, a diamond and is definitely a place to visit, prices are good for London and I guarantee that given a few months getting a reservation will be fine you'll just have wait a little longer to experience this wonderful place. Congratulations to all the B&H team once again you've pulled it off.
P. B.
Incredible views across London's skyline and good egg-based breakfast options. Unfortunately, our order was forgotten about so took an hour to arrive. The staff were mildly apologetic and offered us a free orange juice but was still disappointed by levels of service.
D. S.
Love this place. One of London's gems kept for the locals. Intimate 6th floor restaurant. Looking over Charing Cross Road and down to the the London Eye. Great views of the city and the Shard. Food is exquisite and great value for money - around £40 per head. Service is friendly and professional! So put this on your hit list!
J. P.
Great staff and even better views over the West End. The atmosphere is lovely at B&H, though the intimate setting means noise volume can get a bit higher than ideal. The drinks are very nice, and food options are limited but good for snacking. A nice hidden spot!

Wonderful little respite from the busy city down below. As a whole the customer service was spectacular, the have some really great staff working there. The food was well cooked and showed good knowledge of technique but may require a little more experimentation with spices. The atmosphere is amazing if you are wanting to be able to enjoy time with someone without stress and with ease.
From the start we got greeted by a steward who was very friendly and was easy to chat to. As we got upstairs the reception staff were very attentive, polite and knew exactly what they were doing. Every angle from the floor showed a beautiful view of central London of which most of the main iconic monuments were visible from our table with ease. As we sat down we were greeted by Nathaniel who was really attentive and made sure we had everything on hand. We definitely felt at ease because of him and also Michael and Karan (sp?) and another waitress who all worked as a amazing team!
The food itself was well cooked and presented in a lovely manner although it might've required a little extra pepper for our personal tastes . Since there was two of us we shared each plate. We had the Mezze Plate as a starter, the condiments were delicious although we did have to ask for extra bread which we were able to receive with ease. Cod, braised puy lentils, roast cherry tomatoes, salsa verde as our main which was well presented and beautifully cooked (we normally don't eat peas but these were great!). We also had a cauliflower and cheese side which we honestly could eat all day. The bar staff were able to make an amazing mojito mocktail but as the menu is still developing there will probably be more non-alcoholic options later on. Last of all we had some chai tea to help us digest our meal. It felt like a really rewarding day out and we will definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone wanting to have a nice meal out or to get together for a semi-casual meal without breaking the bank. Thank you to all the staff for a great day from Muqades and Alya!!!!
(If you read all this congrats! You reached the end!)
M. D.
We really enjoyed this place, it was very pretty and lively with an amazing view. The food was great (but the menu is a little small so I would recommend checking that theres something for you before you go). It's something everyone should visit in London, stunning.
L. A.
If the concept of garden room is leftover furniture from the 70s, that you don't quite have the heart to chuck out, and instead take to your occasional holiday shack on the river, then this sure fits the bill. My table, besides being dirty and sticky, (they did wipe it on request), was all chipped etc to add to the above feeling. The view, of course, is stupendous, one of the best in London - worth coming just for that. St Paul's and the Southbank facing you, the London Eye and the steeple of St Martins in the Fields church further down, with Big Ben and Trafalgar Square on the other side of the room. Cocktail menu is very limited, but the two I had, peach one (£9) and the one called Orangerie (£10), though not up to the usual London standard for this price point, was decent enough. The food is more bar menu, and super limited. Not much to pick from. Whilst small bar bowl of salt and pepper squid, greasy as it was, was very tasty, the olives were a joke. Not what you would expect: forget about a "market find", leave alone something they themselves would have pickled, like a lot of other funki bars in London offer, especially at that price! They were commercial garden variety, ASDA Spanish section sells, out of a jar pitted olives, the type one normally gets when asking for a dirty martini. Two birds, one stone, I guess. At £5 it truly is a joke (see photo). Way too salty and weird to eat on their own, it just added to the overall cheapskate flavour of the place. The plastic oranges on the ceiling have to be seen to be believed, and ditto! The lighting is really poor too, whilst the centrepiece of upside down plants looks cool during the day, that central feature is not lit up at all at night. The only lights over the central tables were pound shop shades IKEA would be embarrassed about, for some reason doubled up. Service was just ok on a whole, different people come up to you through the evening, noone dedicated, though Carolina who served me from time to time was lovely.. Would I come here again? Only if bringing friends visiting from abroad, and only for the view. It's to die for, and worth the price of a few cocktails. If you are coming for that reason or on a date, ask for table #2. The best view!
K. M.
Really good food. Bottomless bellinis were nice though service was slow at times. Bogdan was great
E. E.
We had a fantastic anniversary dinner with a view that exceeded our expectations. The food was perfectly cooked and delivered. Marta, our waitress was smiley and cheerful and looked after us beautifully.
C. C.
I found this through a special site and even my daughter , who works nearby and is a social lady, did not know about it! Lovely cocktails, pleasant staff, comfy ambience. You do need to book though even for a drink as it's popular
Y. P.
Lush cocktails with superb views. Organic dating spot!
C. P.
Not much effort put in the interior design.
The staff was friendly. The bavette steak tasty but a bit overcooked. Portions definitely on the small side (the sharing charcuterie platter was really tiny for example).
Overall, overpriced for what it is.
D. B.
Fantastic setting and really good food. We went for brunch on Sunday and enjoyed a really nice meal with great drinks and a stunning view over London. Would definitely recommend!
B. K.
Outstanding location for urban adventurers. Great food, staff, and views.
K. G.
Almost hidden gem in Central London. We went there for drinks, but I hear brunch is nice too. Amazing view of the city at a chill place without the hassle other roof bars have.
J. P.
Great spot with a superb view of London day and night. Ideal for an intimate diner or cocktails with friends. Friendly team. Avoid peak evening hours during week end as it gets busy and may lose its intimate vibe.
A. C.
Very good breakfast, with a great view and friendly staff :)
S. M.
Came here for brunch, great atmosphere and amazing views. Service was very friendly. Food was delicious and would definitely come back again for brunch and drinks in the evening.
L. C.
We had a lovely breakfast here before work... The view of London rooftops was lovely, can see the London eye and skyscrapers in the distance. Coffee was yummmmm. Would recommend 😍☕🏙️
E. G. M.
Great view of London and nice food
S. F.
The most stunning food, service and views. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and looked after us so well. I literally couldn't fault anything. Highly recommended.
J. W. D.
Uniquely brilliant view in the heart of London - you don't expect to see so far. We went on a Friday night and it was not overly busy, service was prompt and friendly and the food was great
K. D.
View outshines the food. Small portions and average flavours. Decent service though and good wine. Go for a drink not a meal.
F. A.
The views are the plus for this restaurant but all else dining experience was fairly average. There was a private event that was outrageously loud the other folks nearby left the restaurant and staff tried to get them to stop yelling and screaming but failed.
My table was sticky and unclean so had to keep tablecloth down to avoid my phone etc sticking to dirty table.
Food wise again average ordered roasted cauliflower salad with various items and it was one big lump of cauliflower.
Service was vey slow our order wasn't taken until 9.30pm. Wouldn't return more a novelty for views and plants.
L. B.
Brilliantly situated above Charing Cross Road. The bar restaurant offers a good range of food and drinks at prices that reflect the view. Service is good and the atmosphere is busy.
T.
The food was very good, the view and aesethic are really lovely and it's a good price for central London with that view, but the service was really inattentive, slow and unapologetic.
M. K.
Nice views, nice atmosphere, but the range of "brunch" is just eggs pretty much. No full English on the menu! Plus prices are steep.
J. V.
We went for dinner the views are amazing so was the food and service! Cocktails are also spot on I highly recommend the Orangerie it's delicious!
P. M.
Interesting cocktails, skyline view. Nice staff. Pricey but then I get the feeling that's not abnormal round these parts.
P. B.
Went for brunch, staff were friendly but I would say the food is a little style over substance, despite having fruit and yoghurt and the eggs I was hungry when I was leaving.
G.
Incredibly cheap prices for the luxurios view and the good quality of the food.
The staff is amazingly kind and attentive.
S. N.
Decent view, limited food selection and loud music.
A. C.
Best place for a cute brunch. Romantic or social. Attentive and friendly servers. Best view of London.
P. W.
Good rooftop bar and restaurant, a little pricy.
J. F.
Amazing place in the centre of London. Great food, cocktails and views you won't get anywhere else.

Great view and service but the brunch food could be better!

(Translated) Good restaurant, breathtaking view! Magnificent atmosphere! You have to do it once in your life but after that ... The expensive price for what it is, 3 ravioli on the plate in the literal sense of the word, very expensive ... cocktail at 15 pounds!
In short, to do once for the view that's all
