Loved dining here. I opted for a rump steak with peppercorn sauce, mushrooms and carrots. The rump steak with peppercorn sauce was fat & delicious. The carrots were placed over goats cheese and mushrooms were out of this world. I was thoroughly happy with my choice, but would like to try the other steak options next time. I did feel my food went cold fairly quick & I’ve never really been a slow eater, but nevertheless, it was an enjoyable afternoon. The staff were lovely & our waitress was super sweet. I would recommend to arrive before 3pm to have the option of choosing from the Set Lunch Menu, should you decide to go in the afternoon.

After having my first Gaucho experience in Edinburgh I had to return, and once again it was perfect. The best place to have steak and a reasonable price! There are loads of steak restaurants who claim to be specialist, however Gaucho is the best there is. Brilliant as always 👍🏽

The meat is very well cooked, sides are tasty and kept naturally fresh, which is as it should be when eating proper argentinian steak. Staff are super nice at this place, and there’s also a wine specialist that can recommend the appropriate wine for you according to your tastes. Decoration is well achieved, dark ambience with just the right amounta of light. I’d totally recommend for a date or a night out with friends. Lastly, I’d suggest Gaucho add’s the famous « volcán de dulce de leche » as a dessert.

First ever visit to Gauchos for the Lost Years Scheme they had which was lovely. Food was absolutely amazing, not just the visuals but taste also. If I was to rate the food in order from best to worst(worst not even being bad, but just the order of fav to least fav). 1. Fillet, 2. Oyster Mushrooms, 3. Mac & Cheese, 4. Burrata, 5. Bread, 6. Chicken(the chicken was a bit too salty). The desserts were amazing, sticky toffee pudding was 10/10, loved how the chef saw we needed more cream and toffee and just sent it to our table! Brownies was 9/10 felt more like a cake and no nuts, however still very good. Our waiter Davide was amazing and very understanding. Toilets were smelling fresh and clean. Would definitely recommend this branch to others.

I visited here in Sep 2020. Also, I ordered the restaurant via delivery. I like the atmosphere although sometime it seems to be too cool. With young toddler, I wish I visited the restaurant again in new normal. Most of staff are friendly. Last but not least Their ribeye is succulent.

Overall I don't think this place is a great steak place. The food was good for most of us. But for over 200£ for for people without alcohol I thought it should have been better. Mt steak I asked to be medium, but it was closer to medium rare. The service was slow on the day we went, as airbrush the guys were busy. The starters were good and the sides. But if I was going for steak in London I would choose somewhere else.

The food was delicious, rich with flavour and well presented. I'm a fan of steak (medium rare) and the platter with the 4 different cuts was the perfect introduction to Argentinian beef and added to overall experience. Maybe it’s good to go in but on Deliveroo, they consistently get the order wrong. Their chips taste old and you get much better burgers for less money around the area. Underwhemingly pricy.

Well what I want to give is 3 and 1/2stars because I thought the food wasn't Phenomenal. The chips were just way to salty for me. The steak was decent but not mind blowing and the start was good but not great. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful and decor is nice but it's a bit dark in the toilets. Sooo good!! The atmosphere, staff . Excellent. Food was amazing. The bar area on the other side through the double doors was great for chilling. I really do prefer this Gaucho to the Richmond one as there is parking right next to the restaurant free after 5:30pm I think it was on Saturday. And this restaurant has a much better layout and interior then the Richmond one.

I left a 5 star review 2 years ago and felt it needed to be refreshed! I was there again last night having not been in a while and enjoyed a chateaubriand for 1 (450g!), as well as some asparagus, some macaroni cheese, a tartare starter and finally a chocolate dessert that I forget the name of, with honeycomb, banana and vanilla ice cream. I was hungry when I went in... not so hungry when I went back out. Great place, great staff, great food, great atmosphere. It's held its 5 star rating as I quite like the steaks here. Always a perfect medium-rare.

I'm a big Gaucho fan but unfortunately this one is my least favourite in London. When being seated during Covid pandemic we were put next to some of the only people in the restaurant at the time. When asking to move to one of the other twenty or so empty tables not near anyone then we were allowed but that request wasn't met with the politeness you'd expect from this establishment. The Sunday lunch was ok but also not as good as many of the others around London. The atmosphere and setup didn't feel like a high dining experience but this is more to do with the shape of the building than the quality of the seating plan. Try Greenwich, London Bridge or Hampstead for the better experiences.

OK so obviously an expensive higher level of dining which is why I was disappointed. My starters and main were fine nothing sensational but enjoyable. Our friends wanted their beef done well (yes a supposed sin for beef but I have had it done well myself and it was still tender soft and tasty just not red. So it can be done with a good chef) but it came very red. My wife unfortunately for her - in this place 😀 - is a vegetarian so she had to go for the Risotto or should I say rice pudding! Again the price your paying you expect more. The desert, Banana mess, I couldn't even finish just wasn't tasty. It's a shame it was my first time here and had heard from my friends how good it was, my experience let it down. The quality just wasn't up to the £75 a head price tag. Bar area was good. Nice surroundings/ atmosphere.

We went to the Sloane avenue branch for the never ending lunch at 29.99. This proved to be an excellent lunch where we had two separate cuts of beef with the Rib-eye being the absolute best followed by some very tender lamb. In my opinion, the lamb needed a bit more seasoning. The never ending veggies were cooked to perfection and we were given a large bone still containing the marrow which we could scoop out, nice touch. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. This is my third visit and I would say if you order A la Carte, the steaks are 5* as they cook it to your specifications.

One of the best sunday roast in London. Really easy to book and always free space. The restaurant is known to be posh and pricy, which it's normally and on wine, but the never ending sunday roast is quite cheap (32.5£) compared to all the meat you can eat. We ate 10 slices each (compared to the 2 they usually serve), and different slices (rib-eye, picanha, other beef cut). The waiters were really attentive and always asking if we wanted more food. Probably one of the few doing the never ending sunday roast, keep offering it and I'll come often.

I’ll start by saying the service was great, the greeting and waiting service we couldn’t have asked for more, very polite and courteous. The food however left a little to be desired, the steaks were either slightly overdone or undercooked for each of us. The flavouring again would be 3/5. Sides were nice, nothing too fancy but adequate and tasted good. We did however have to send back the mac n cheese back as it came out cold even though it was cooked in a cast iron dish and told its exceptionally hot. Overall, 3/5. We will return at some point and give it the benefit of the doubt, however we’ll be expecting more.

The quality of meat was rather disappointing compared to the price and similar high end restaurant. But also the restaurant did not want to take any feedback from the customer. After the meal, my husband and I were asked by a staff whether everything was good. We gave a feedback mentioning that truffle oil gnocchi was a little bit overcooked and we could not taste any truffle oil. The person replied that it was his favourite dish and may it was just us that feel that way. Don't ask for a feedback if you cannot take one. We came for a dinner not to praise the restaurant.

I went for dinner on Sunday evening and all I have to say is who looks like the manager and the team were outstanding, even with my mum being so difficult. I will be back and bring my friends. Warm welcome, jackets taken & walked to our seats. The decor is certainly that of a steak house (you will see if you go) & the general feel of the place was relaxing. Waiter was friendly & helpful. However, the steak was lacking. It was cooked exactly to my order (medium rare) but the texture/quality of the steak was chewy. It was certainly not a premium quality cut & that left me disappointed.

The service at Gaucho was quite slow and the food seemed like typical steakhouse fare. It wasn't bad, but nothing particularly special. I think that having more attentive service, and some more healthy side options, would be a great addition. For the price point and the atmosphere it was trying to portray, the overall experience was lacking. It took a little over an hour from us finishing the the main course to when we finally got the check, and the staff seemed harried and spread extremely thin.

A tip for the Italians eating in London: you will feel home when eating at any restaurant, your chance that the waiter serving you is Italian is very high, so it will save time for you to understand what could be the best choice for you!

Definitely one of the top 3 best steak meals I've had in London, and probably the top 1 most full I've ever felt in my life. I have no idea how they get their steaks so bug and tasty, especially considering the fair price. All I know is that once I had the first bite I needed to finish it, I was a fool to start with the sides... Anyway, finish it I did, and to my surprise, so did the friend I was with. It would have been blasphemy if we didn't. Bravo Gaucho, delicious and generous.

A very nice feel to the place and for the most part the customer service was good, but I took my girlfriend and the little one and pre booked the set 3 course set meal. We found all of our meat to be very salty and i feel slighted at being offered water but not being told before I would be charged nine pounds for it this felt like a sly way to recoupe money for us getting the set meal and dampend what should have been a good evening we was not to happy with the deserts either if im honest they felt eushed out.

Amazing food, and amazing service. I was staying in London for the week and always go for a meal on my last day, chose gaucho as it was next door to where I was staying. Service I cannot rate highly enough, I came in with my daughter aged 3 and they have a kids menu which was great. I ordered a starter which was huge to say the least and I couldn't finish it only because I wanted room for my main I had mushroom ravioli which was very nice and the sauce not too heavy. My daughter has the burger and chips which smelt absolutely amazing. She loved it and ate at least half and we were able to take home what she left. I didn't have dessert was too full up. I will definitely visit here again. Prices are London prices but as I'm due to have major surgery I wanted to splash out.

The food is very good and I highly recommend. Just that there was someone who seemed to be the manager and he was very rude. They asked us to wait for 20 minutes for a table as we didn't have a reservation and after 30 minutes when we asked how much more we have to wait, he told us we have been only waiting for 16 minutes! then we tried to ask his colleague and as she was talking to us, he came and jumped in and told her "I have told them" (meaning she shouldn't talk to us). we ate there and one of our steaks was tasting a bit strange and not good. so we told them and the waitress offered to bring anything else we want, which eventually we did. Then this guy came back with similar attitude as before to ask what we want ? although we had already told his colleague. He didn't get what we said for few times and eventually when we repeated our order loud and clearer he got it and left! He didn't apologize or anything that one of us had no food and had to sit longer (15 min) after everyone had finished for his food. Anyway, the new steak that they brought was tasteful.

Brought my boyfriend here as a birthday treat with a few friends. Upon walking in the restaurant seemed a little uninviting, probably because of how dimly lit it was. The service was quite slow (at one point I had to leave my seat to ask the waiter to bring the cake out). The rib-eye steak my boyfriend had was lovely, but I didn't enjoy my sirloin; as I ordered from the lunch menu there was no option for marination, and the sauce I ordered (bernaise) didn't taste as nice as other restaurants. This could of course be attributed to the fact that I ordered a medium instead of medium-rare, though because of the high prices, I'm reluctant to try the other cuts. Overall, the food was enjoyable and we could definitely tell that a lot of care had been put into it. However, for me it does not compare to other steakhouses, where I've thoroughly enjoyed my steaks for much lower prices.

I firstly would like to thank the amazing Alessia, who helped speak to managers so I could order a valentines box when they had sold out online! As Gaucho Sloane Avenue is closed to diners I ordered the valentines box, omg! the food was out of this world, I also ordered an extra fillet of steak... my taste buds have never been so tantilzed... from the starter, to the steak, roast veg, mash, salad, the accompanying sauces and dessert raspberry compote with basil (please put this on your takeaway menu) .. I went back yesterday and again the food was amazing , so much so we went back and reordered more food before heading back to south london and who was at the end of the line 2nd time round??? the fabulously courteous Alessia...so polite and helpful, its not often you find so well versed and helpful staff... I will certainly be back next week! Gaucho owners we need a restaurant in putney or dulwich please! Gaucho we need more cooked dinner boxes like the valentines...Food Heaven!

Grilled meat,lots of it. Done really well and younger what you pay for! High end cuts for... Good selection for carnivores, and whilst there are a couple of choices for vegetarians; this really isn't a place for a big group of vegetarians. Good atmosphere, cosy decor, and the staff try very hard to maintain a rigourously high standard. The vacuum cleaner was used several times whilst we were there.

Went to try out the 'electric brunch' at the restaurant. Have to say that for a price of 50 quid a head, it was incredibly well priced and the amount of food was insane! There was at least 7 dishes (starters, mains and dessert) that are brought out on trays (1 each for all members on the table) and allows you to taste absolutely everything. My favourite was the steak and eggs, which were cooked medium (although we weren't specifically asked what our preference was, so if you have one, might be worth mentioning) and the bottomless drinks. There are two cocktails - we stuck to Aperol Spritz all afternoon! Table seating is 2 hours, so make sure you get there on time to absolutely max the time you have available. The music was cool and gave a good vibe, but I would only rate something 5* if it truly blows my mind. Definitely a great experience though, make sure you do try it!

The staff were friendly and they display the cuts before ordering which was a nice touch. The atmosphere is quite chic and dim-lit so it works as a late evening venue but perhaps feels a bit jarring when it's sunny outside. I dropped one star because the food was quite mixed, some of the party really enjoyed their meals whereas some found it a bit lacking in taste, my tuna steak was quite soft and watery. Also dropping a star because the wine selection was pretty limited and they don't offer corkage (after a bit of confusion where it was yes and then no). Compared to competitors (Beast, Hix, Hawksmoor, JW) I found this a little disappointing as wine is a big part of the steak experience. They have a very extensive cocktail list though - in summary it's a bit of a fusion between quality dining and bar/club feel; not quite hitting either.

Done the electro brunch here twice. £50 for unlimited brunch including alcohol in/around Sloane Square is incredibly good. The menu is actually decent too. Granted you have to keep on top of your waiter to make sure they look after you and keep your drinks replaced and dishes coming but if you do then you can complain.

Had the bottomless breakfast, the food was nice but not great, in one dish the egg was totally raw including the white, it was served in a hot pan but the heat did not cook the egg. I have been here with a dear friend of mine for an early dinner. The service was impeccable as in all gaucho restaurants. I had a salmon salad as a starter which I thought was delicious and I had the chorizo steak as a main. Unfurtunately the meat was flavourless, not medium cooked as I asked and the blue cheese sauce which I asked for was tastless as well. The dessert was nice. I often go to gaucho in picaddily and I honestly think the meat is of better quality.

Stopped here after a museum visit when both myself and my friend were grieving our dead pets. The food was delicious with generous portions at a fair price. We had the Lomo, of course, and were too full for dessert afterwards. The empanada starter was also a favourite. Our waiter was lovely and attentive and all in all the visit helped keep our spirits up during what was basically a Depression Outing. Only gripe is that it was pretty cold in there, even though we did ask them to turn down the air con.

We were served by Wallace and we received the best service in our lives (better than the Michelin starred restaurants we experienced here and there). He was very attentive, passionate and professional. The food and decor of the restaurant was also on point, and qualifies as fine dining but without the price. Wallace explained to us the different kind of meat cuts on the meat board. They also serve an Argentinian cheese bread which is amazing. We have been back once with friends so far, and it will definitely not be our last! Make sure to request for Wallace to get the full experience!

Upon arrival we were greeted and taken to our table very quickly, on the way to the table every worker who we walked past said hello and all were very welcoming. I ordered the 300 Gram Sirloin and my partner ordered the 300 gram Fillet. Mine was cooked to perfection and was the nicest steak I've ever had! My partners came out slightly under cooked but the waitress was happy to sort it out and take it back to the chef who then cooked it perfect, overall the steak was incredible! Final bill came to £78 for a 300G sirloin, 300G Fillet, bread, vinegar and oil starter, and two glasses of coke. Yes, a tad expensive, but it was 100% worth it and would happily go back again. We had an incredible dinner at Gaucho SS yesterday. We went for a third year wedding anniversary and definitely made the right choice.
