Reviews of Georgian Sisters

We enjoyed the experience at Georgian Sisters. All food was fresh and delicious. Most important, we wanted to find Khinkali with mushrooms in London and we found them! The lady serving us was extremely polite and helpful, she did her best to make us feel welcome. We arrived quite late, at around 10 pm and were the only table on Thursday night. Will definitely come here again.

Me and my husband went almost on an accident, but we loved it so much! We had never eaten Georgian food before and they were so nice to explain everything. Very patience and friendly. The food was delicious and we got to taste this pear lemonade which was amazing! Would definitely recommend it. 🥰

Food was delicious, authentic and deserved 5 stars however it is really overpriced and whilst we would love to visit more often don't think we will be coming back. Worth visiting to sample the wonderful khinkali and khachapuri especially if you never had Georgian food before but overall cannot recommend this place given the price.

Discovered this place, very very nice food, nice people. I will visit again and again.

Tried this restaurant in early November 2021 and it was a lovely experience. Authentic Georgian food, good selection of drink and very nice and friendly staff. It is great to be able to immerse yourself in a totally different culinary culture once in a while.

Really delicious, proper Georgian food. For those who have not had Georgian before, definitely go. For those who have - also be sure to check this place out. The khinkali, khachapuri and other dishes were delicious and authentic. The service was excellent and very friendly. I’ll definitely come here again.

I was there with my wife and a couple of Russian friends a couple of weeks ago. They took me there since being Russian they are quite familiar with Georgian food, and they like to try Georgian restaurants.
We were all very happy with the experience. Kachapuri and Khinkali are classics that not always are done right, but in Georgian Sisters they knew what they were doing :) The portions also were quite big, I underestimated them (but I didn't have problems finishing it). Lobio was also very tasty. I wish I had more space to try some deserts, but I have a reason to comeback.
I would like to highlight also how kind and attentive the waitress was. She took time giving advice, she was all the time paying attention on what we needed. You can tell when waiters care about the success of a restaurant or when they are only there for the pay, and in this case you cold tell that everyone there were working as a caring team.
I will also point out that decoration and lighting worked together to create a very nice atmosphere. And the music was very well chosen! (I always pay attention to music in places).
Definitely coming back :)

Being recommended by one of my friends, unfortunately, the food didn’t meet my expectations.. I have been to other georgian restaurants in London, and in other countries, I am familiar with the cuisine. The place and service is good but not the food. The food was mediocre, sorry. Chachapuri was not baked enough (raw dough) , I could taste only dough…I didn’t even finish.. it’s my favourite thing but it wasn’t up to the standards. Chinkali- the portion is generous, which is great, but had too much chilly in it.. I hope it was just one-off unlucky day.. might visit again to understand great reviews in here

Absolutely delicious food. Within 2 minutes i was reduced to my baser balkan instincts and started eating with my hands while dipping the freshly baked bread in the wonderful sauces. The wine is also fantastic. Fully recommend.

So good to have Georgian restaurant in my area as I'm gonna go more often there. Great khachapuri and khinkali, friendly staff.
The only thing what I didn't like was too strong light in the evening time as doesn't feel relaxing atmosphere when you're sitting in full light, dim it a bit and would be great as food is delicious!

FOOD: The food was delicious and authentic. Usually, I don’t care too much about authenticity if the food is delicious, but I think the point about authenticity is worth making in this case as some of the ingredients for Georgian dishes are (almost) impossible to get in the UK. One such ingredient is cheese for khachapuri, so every Georgian family living in the UK has its own substitution, which is usually a mixture of mozzarella and something like feta, Apetina, Cheshire, halloumi, or even cheddar. Well, the mixture at Georgian Sisters is much better than what we have managed to achieve at home after many years of trying. Also, I think they have a stone oven, and their khachapuri is simply outstanding. Another hard to come by ingredient is sour plums (tkemali, ტყემალი, Prúnus cerasiféra) for chaqapuli (lamb, tarragon, and white wine stew). I don’t think you can buy them in the UK, although you can probably forage something similar somewhere. One can try to substitute tkemali by a sauce made from these sour plums, which is available in the UK, but the result will not be the same. Anyway, the chaqapuli at Georgian Sisters was in my view authentic and contained sour plums that appeared to be the real McCoy.
We asked for Georgian bred, which was not on the menu, and they baked one for us. It was delicious, and my only regret is that we used singular rather than plural when making the request: we had to carefully ration the bread and divide it fairly among four of us!
I think many ethnic restaurants in the UK slightly tone down the original flavours and go slightly blander as time passes by. (This is probably a natural result of clientele’s preferences and habits, and I have to admit that, these days, I myself prefer slightly less spicy and less salty food than what I grew up with in Georgia.) It looks like this toning down process has not happened at the Georgian Sisters, and the flavours remain authentic.
AMBIENCE: this is a family run restaurant and every member of stuff we saw there was a member of that family. So, the atmosphere was exceptionally warm and welcoming. It really felt as if we were visiting friends rather than having an evening out in a restaurant.
Background music by contemporary Georgian musicians was unintrusive and of a very high quality. We really did not want to leave after paying the bill although it was very late on a Sunday evening, and we were the only people left in the restaurant.

Called in for dinner the other night - sensational food and really friendly service. The khachapuri is delicious and we had lobio and a spicy beef dish for mains. We will definitely be back!

Hi, we travelled all the way from Manchester as we were looking for a Georgian cuisine, and this restaurant did not disappoint, from the politeness on the phone to the food itself, was a very pleasant experience, service was outstanding, exceptionally presented well, will be back again and recommend to everyone to try there delightful menu with a variety of choices to choose from, all with an exquisite taste.

This place is run by very lovely people. Amazing atmosphere with really great food. Definitely will return soon!!

Highly recommend this restaurant. Very friendly, polite and accommodating staff. Food is first rate. Khachapuri - this Georgian staple is pure comfort food, gooey cheese in soft bread and is as good as it gets outside of Georgia. Likewise the Chakapuli. This traditional spring stew of tarragon, coriander, lamb and tangy plums is unforgettable. Khinkali are dumplings but on steroids! Traditionally from the high mountains with specially seasoned meat and gravy or cheese or mushrooms. There’s plenty here for vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters...just go and check it out!

We came from another side of the city and the restaurant was just closed.
That's so weird that you haven't updated your hours on Google maps. The response of the owner that it shows everywhere is a bit strange when it's clear that the information here is not correct.
L.
Perfect, we came in pretty late and they were cool about it, we ordered, food came in quickly, all dishes explained nicely.
It was impeccable.
Btw Georgia ftw
J. H.
Delicious, authentic home cooked food. Can't wait to go back for more Khachapuri!

A hidden gem only a short walk from the tube station and well worth the trip. The owners are friendly and kind, the food (and wine) is delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic.
Fresh, warm authentic Georgian food in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere! All for a price that won't break the bank.

Amazing food and warm service. Will definitely be coming back.

The best Georgian food I've had in both London and Georgia. Warm friendly service from the owners. I believe they originally ran the restaurant as a burger and pizza place (which are still on the menu), but have now added Georgian dishes and are slowly changing the restaurant to cater for this. The interior might not be as hip as other Georgian places in London, but this doesn't detract from the quality of the home cooked style food and lovely service. I really hope more and more people come and experience the food here and I will definitely return.

Amazing Georgian restaurant. It has all the traditional Georgian dishes and pizzas as well. We have visited this place on several occasions and always have been very happy with the service and food. If you are a fan of Georgian food or even if you have never tried it before, visit this place to learn a bit more about Georgian culture. Red Georgian wine is MUST to try!
P. B.
A great hidden gem in London considering how hard is to find a Georgian restaurant in the UK, needless to say, a quality Georgian restaurant.
The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The only thing it bothered me is that they only had one Georgian wine option and it was priced at £21!?!?!?!? The wine was ok but definitely not worth half of price tag.
The owner is super friendly and works in many functions as it seemed there were only two people working in the restaurant, so you need to be a little bit patience with the service. It is def worth it!
As a suggestion, the restaurant lacks ambiance, there was some music but it fails to create an authentic Georgian experience. I would recommend increasing the volume and selecting new playlists.
Overall the restaurant is amazing, well priced, great service and convenient location.

we had a great time. Khinkalie were really nice and crisp and cheese filling was perfect. my favorite was the lobio. When you can elevate a humble kidney bean to taste this good! Tolmas were excellent t as well. Overall, delicious food, outstanding service and a great value!

We were told to order in advance to make sure we got what we wanted. Not the usual practice in a restaurant. Nevertheless if you like Georgian food you won't be disappointed.
