Lovely restaurant, have been coming for years and now with the new refurbishment looks wonderful. Waiters were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and fresh and didn’t take too long to arrive, tikka masala and tandoori is the most flavourful. I’m always pleased when I visit guru.

I really enjoy Guru. The new layout and decor is nice and simple. The food had always been great and I like the Bangladeshi style of food (Bangla beer is really good). Guru and Sun and Sand are competing a shoot-out at the moment and they're neck and neck.

Had a take away over Christmas. Quite disappointed, as things seem to have changed for the worse. The Guru used to serve up excellent food, decent portion sizes and at reasonable prices. Prices have been massively increased, and the food quality is just about acceptable, but nowhere near as good as it used to be. If I am paying these increased prices I expect much better food. Such a shame, The Guru was great for many years, but sadly this is no longer the case - now just average.

Just been back to Guru Tandoori since their refurb and we had a great meal. Tandoori king prawns were utterly delicious as was everything we had. Much better surroundings and service was impeccable and super friendly. Good luck guys - we will be back!

The best indian/bangladeshi restuarant in North London. We have been going there for years. After the new refurbishment, the food is even better and so authentic. If you have not visited here, please do so. The staff and owner are so friendly and welcoming. Very good hospitality

I don't know much about the owners or history of the place, but my personal history with the place is dated 6-7 years back when I moved to the area (from abroad) and it has been since the place where I am even taking my family a friends when they come around to visit. For them it is like an introduction to Indian cuisine, for me and my wife it's certainty we are not going to be disappointed and neither will be our guests. We love the atmosphere of the place and friendly staff.

Decent enough food, perhaps even worthy of 4 stars but the overall dining experience was lessened by the rather surly attitude of the waiters. Basic pleasantries lacking from the staff and if my partner and I were not in such a good mood we may well have complained.

We absolutely love eating in this restaurant. The food is excellent and the staff are very polite. I just find everytime we have had s takeaway, you get home unpack and there's something missing from your order. I world say check the order before you leave as it can be quite annoying to find this out once home!

Ate there last night. Cant fault the excelkent food or reasonable prices but the service was very poor and let them down. No greeting, hardly a word spoken to us whilst there and no farewell or 'thank you for choosing our restaurant' as we left. I dont want obsequeousness but a pleasant acknowledgment of our presence would have been nice. The regular customers at the next table said the food was always good but dont expect more than a nod from the staff. Might go again to see if their idea of customer service improves.

A seriously tasty vegatable biryani with rice and really tasty onion bhajis and really soft naan bread and crispy poppadoms. Thoroughly enjoyed it, especially since I have not had the chance to have it for a long time and am only rating it 5 stars because I can't do any more than 5. Very friendly staff.
