Reviews of Hawksmoor Air Street

Heard from a few friends that Sunday Roast at Hawksmoor was incredible and it delivered ✅
The roast beef was head and shoulders above the rest of the meal, the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pud. were delicious also. Had the mother mule non-alcoholic cocktail, which was very refreshing.
Finished the meal with the famous peanut butter shortbread which was burst full of earthy peanut butter but a sweet finish and ice cream.
Very pleasant experience.

Brilliant evening. The cocktails were perfectly made. The starters were scrumptious. The dinner and sides were divine. Service was respectable and attentive and friendly. The setting - well, I didn't know such a beautiful art deco restaurant was even here. Just stunning.

Everything was perfect. The girl at the front desk was very lovely, helpful, and caring! Thank you so much. It's been long since I had an amazing experience like this! These guys made me remember how things used to be! Awesome, I 100 % recommend this place and that creamy spinach. OMG, it was so good after one bite my soul left my body. A MUST VISIT

Amazing meal, service, drinks and decor. Prices are reasonable for a steak house in London. The rump steak was outstanding! Cooked perfectly and the flavor was second to none. Try the Shakey Pete's Ginger Brew; you won't be sorry. We got the 3 course special for 25£. Oh, and the peanut butter dessert was crazy good. There are numerous Hawksmoors, but this one has a unique retro look. I very highly recommend eating or drinking here.

I’ve been coming here for a few years and they have maintained their quality. They have a great Sunday roast with a lot of fixings. They include with the roast Yorkshire pudding, twice baked potatoes, shallot, garlic, lettuce, and carrots. They also have a creamy cauliflower cheese. They are usually very quick service.
C. M.
Awesome Sunday roast, would highly recommend.
The set three courses at bottom of the menu are great value and the pear and white choco cheesecake - yummy!
One small thing, please please stop serving the tiny 200ml coke bottles. Everyone knows how little a normal can costs, stop giving me half the volume and then charging me like £3+. It can't be saving much and it's just irritating to have to ration my drink.

Came here for a birthday dinner and were throughly looked after by Marty and other staff members at Hawksmoor.
Service was exceptional, food was delicious and so was dessert.
£5 corkage on a Monday is an absolute steal.
Would 100% recommend - slowly working our way round different Hawksmoor branches and none have disappointed so far.

Great atmosphere and excellent wine list. Service was very friendly and prompt in food served. We ordered the baked scallops, Hawksmoor Salad and beef cappacio. Mains were rib eye and a porterhouse. Worth for return visit.

Dinner for two on a Wednesday night. Early seating but was good as tables spaced out, the later seating was full. Service was efficient and friendly. The food was fantastic! Steaks perfectly cooked and the recommendation of the Potted Beef and Bacon was perfect!! Highly recommended. The scallops were sooooo good!! Definitely go, you won't be disappointed but the price reflects the dining experience.
D.
The scampi I wouldn’t order again, overpriced and not much flavour. The ribeye was fantastic, although half of it was MR and the other M little bit disappointed but definitely will come back again to give it another go!

LOVED IT!! The atmosphere was great, the food was amazing (steak was cooked perfectly) and the mash and gravy was sooooo creamy! Can't wait to go back. Currently my favourite steak restaurant in London 😁

The Hawksmoor on Air Street is our feature of the day. The @hawksmoorrestaurants is decadent, whilst also engendering a relaxed and almost casual atmosphere, which was nice. Our waitress spoke knowledgeably about the various steaks and made suggestions which suited us perfectly. In fact, she was adorable. She was smiley, attentive and had a good sense of humour. We had a lovely time.
This restaurant is good for a celebration or a treat. They also have an option (correct as at the time of writing, but you may need to double check when you visit) which will enable you to have 2 courses for £22.00 or 3 courses for £25.00 Monday to Sunday until 18:30 from their Express Menu. Sadly, we visited too late to take advantage of this option... But, I will definitely visit again!
We had :-
Sirloin Steak (400g)
Chateaubriand (500g)
Peppercorn sauce
Triple cooked chips
Creamed spinach
Buttered new potatoes
Sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream ice-cream
Jasmine tea
Tonic water with Lemon
I've also included a few pictures that I took of Central London on the way home! London is so beautiful at this time of year!
Should you go here? An unresounding YES! The food was delicious and the flavours were tantalising my taste buds long after the feeling of hunger had subsided.. It was yummy!

Really nice steaks the rib eye was nice and juicy , the bone marrow sauce was great.
Also ordered the smoked salmon starter which was a nice start to the meal.
Service was great, and the place was quite big which makes it easy to book
M. W.
Really fancy steak restaurant! Probably the best steak restaurant in London. Really nice restaurant. The staff were really nice and helpful. Beer range was limited to cans however they were nice beers. Great range of cocktails on the menu as well. Definitely get the parsnips and bacon and maple as a side, it was great! 2 sides between us was fine as the steak was filling! Be prepared to spend at least £50 per person but well worth it!
N. W.
This place was lovely and a great atmosphere. The food couldn’t be faulted in any way. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Sadly I can’t quite give 5 stars as we did get a little abounded trying to get attention for a desert menu and ended up waiting some time. If I could give 4.5 stars I would!
J. V. (.
Don't be fooled by the entrance, as it definitely won't prepare you for the wonderful art deco restaurant at the top of the stairs. The pre-dinner menu is great value with an amazing steak and probably the best cheesecake I've ever eaten. I must also compliment the staff who are attentive without being too in your face, and extremely personable. Thoroughly recommended!
R. O.
Best steaks in London. Expensive but worth the price and the service is first class. Great consistency across the different branches - high quality every time!
J. Y.
Amazing as always. Chose from the quick pre theatre menu - don't be fooled that this is lower quality. Steaks were incredible, deserts gave the much needed sugar rush, wine was great and not insanely priced, cocktails were brilliant. Staff are always great, super friendly but never pester. Brilliant restaurant definitely check this place out
R. S.
The meat was excellent, you should definitely try the "chateaubriand" with some french red wine. The place is very classy but also a bit too noisy
P. Q.
Incredible Sunday Roast making everything in the plate taste amazing, and even if you don't like anything in particular you can just drown it in the bone marrow gravy. I could eat the roasted potatoes all day.
D. S.
Great food. We had the express menu and it was delicious. Downside was the price of the drinks. £11 for a cocktail which consisted of about 100ml of liquid (with a giant ice cube) and £6.90 for a 330ml can of beer. Food was great, felt ripped off by the drinks.
A. B.
If you like great steaks, perfected sides and solid wine selection, then this is your place in London. Situated in a beautiful art deco room, you'll feel more glamorous with every bite. However, be prepared to pay for the experience.
J. L.
Very friendly staff and cosy atmosphere, good quality food, didn't disappoint. A bit pricey too, but I guess you get what you pay for

Disclaimer: did not eat here (yet)
Was planning and looking forward to eating here for my birthday, but unfortunately my partner didn’t feel well and we had to leave.
Restaurant looks amazing and the staff was very accommodating. Upon mentioning that we had to leave early without eating, the drinks were comped (was a great cocktail too) by the GM, who also gave me his card to email ahead next time we were coming around so he could make sure we’d have a spot. So a bit of a letdown we couldn’t actually eat here, but there was a silver lining nonetheless.
J. Y.
The food was incredible. Our favorite Sorted Food "normal", Jaime, talked about it in a viseo so we just had to try it. Absolutely worth every penny.
This location was very busy but right in the heart of Piccadilly Circus.
B. D. C.
I contacted the team at Hawksmoor Air to let them know I was celebrating something with my husband and wanted to make the night special and they couldn't have done more to make our evening more perfect. From the amazing table and friendly/prompt service, to the cold champagne, perfect cocktails and the best steak we have (both) ever had, the evening was honestly fantastic from start to finish. The staff at this restaurant treats everyone like a VIP and they are so friendly and relaxed that it gives the venue such a warm vibe. I would say that this is a great place for a perfect meal but it's not cosy/intimate so if you go in understanding the place is huge (and it feels huge) you can't possibly be disappointed by a thing. Honestly such a great evening. Make reservations for Disrepute for after-dinner cocktails. It's a 2 min walk and it's fantastic.
R. J.
I want to hate it, or at least not like it - it's a chain, it feels pervasive in its marketing, it's pricey (not the meat - as ever it's sides that add profit) but it remains bloody good. Fantastic meat cooked well, and more importantly well rested and well served. Very little to fault; maybe swerve the desserts which are neither exciting nor as well executed as the meat.
P. H.
Amazing location and decor, and the very best steak you'll ever eat. Throw in the brilliant friendly staff and it's a guaranteed top night. Worth every penny (and its not cheap)
A. C.
Wonderful had the pre theatre menu. Excellent value. Highly recommended when in London
A. J.
The restaurant itself is beautiful and a large space. The tables are well spaced out and the bar is a good place to get a few drinks too.
The food at Hawksmoor is always excellent, we normally get a sharing steak. Sometimes the seasonal side dishes can be a bit under seasoned but the reglaur sides are delicious. Great selection of wine, ranging from happily affordable to exorbitant!
The service is generally good, can be a bit harried when they get busy but that's almost to be expected.
A. M.
The service is fantastic, myself and my partner went on a date here, they even decorated our desserts with chocolate writing since it was a special occasion
M. C.
The potted beef with Yorkshire puddings
Starter was epic and the rump steak was the best I've ever had!!! So tender and the peppercorn sauce was so creamy, perfect 2 course menu
M. M.
The food as always was five star, definitely the best steak restaurant I have been to. The restaurant was very busy which meant the service was slightly slow. As a whole great experience.
D. B.
Best chateaubriand ever had, carpaccio a little bit over seasoned, old spot belly ribs were just perfect, tender and full of flavours, overall we had a great experience, just be careful especially if you order the chateaubriand, our was worth 108 £!!
A. C.
Fine dining.Tasty food and the best chef, best serving..very good quality wines
N. P.
I go there regularly. Despite the fact it took three attempts to get my steak cooked medium, the service was outstanding and made things right.
They'll be seeing more of me.

One of the best Sunday Roasts I've had in London. I researched for the best Roast in London and consulted with friends also, so everything seemed to point to this restaurant, including the reviews on Google. The restaurant is located a stones throw from Piccadilly Circus, leaving from the Regent Street (West) exit. The interiors were classic 1930's art deco, and resembles a New York 1930's restaurant. Everything from the online booking service to the actual table service was seamless and very professional. For the roast itself, it did not disappoint one bit, everything on the plate was exceptional and my guest was equally impressed. Highly recommended!
E. B.
5* for service, 4 * for food, 3* for pricing. To advertise 2 courses for £26 is misleading as the main course comes with no sides at all. So to have fries, potatoes or veg you pay another £5 or more. You can have steak incl fries with the menu, but that is anyhow £6 supplement. And if you want sauce with it you pay another £3.50. So won't be rushing back as feels like a rip off due to the way they advertise it.
R. M.
Hawksmoor is the best steakhouse around in London. The food does all the talking required. Seriously impressed...I was too eager to eat, so this picture doesn't do the food justice.
N. M.
The important part is that on Mondays you can bring a bottle of wine and pay £5 for them to serve it for you. This cuts the overall bill/check by a large amount making it possible to spend more money on their tasty food.
The side dishes are as tasty as the main dishes and there are multiple that that compliment the main dish. They are decently large as well so if you and your friends order one each, it is possible to fill up your own plate then share.
The steak they served was juicy, a bit too much fat but that's alright as they offered a variety of sauces for the steak, which I feel other places don't.
Dessert was elegant and sweet and reasonably priced. Perhaps too much mascarpone as I felt that most deserts had this element in it.
O. C.
Would recommend the Sunday roast. Beef, potatoes, carrots, Yorkshire pudding, greens and gravy for £23. Big portion and flavoursome. The express menu is also pretty good value. Nice seating and decor. Made a booking in advance due to covid. Overall good experience!
E. M.
It’s just so dreamy here. Our go to for special celebrations. The decor, the food, the staff… all top notch

Rather enjoyed this visit with my daughter for Saturday lunch. Having passed both the entrance checkpoint and the top of stairs checkpoint, we made it into the bar area but weirdly it looked as if nobody was eating at all yet at 2pm...leading to a few seconds of internal panic..." What the **** have we done coming here ? ". And yet a few metres further on the place burst into life. We were parked up at a decent table for two overlooking Regent St, and service was very professional....with a light touch, and no prolonged waiting for anything. Rather expected the set menu at £25 each for 3 courses to be disappointing however it was anything but. The food was all excellent and we ordered several sides which complemented the meal really well. 2 hrs and an eventual £95 well spent. The sea bream main course I had was cooked perfectly and some of the best fish I have ever eaten. Highly recommended and really an unexpected treat. Also like that the service charge goes to the servers 100%. Would come back tomorrow.... but to be fair London is a big place so it could be a while...and living 150 miles away doesn't help
A. M.
Big fan of Hawksmoor as a go to steak restaurant. This branch was a little disappointing on a Sunday as the service was very slow and we were brought the wrong wine. The staff were not overly concerned when we mentioned how long it had taken to order and that the wrong wine was brought. The food was as usual very good however presentation a little sloppy. Have had better experiences at other branches so would return, perhaps not when as busy to this branch though.

Had the most amazing anniversary dinner here! The staff were all the most attentive and friendly people, super knowledgeable about the menu and nothing is too much trouble. The food was absolutely spectacular, probably the best steak I have ever had, and the portion sizes were perfect! Our lovely waitress bought the chef out for us to thank him, and you could tell how passionate he was about his food and it showed in every delicious bite! My boyfriend told them in advance we were celebrating and they did everything they could to make our visit special including making us a special cocktail with my favourite liquor. I cannot reccomend this place highly enough, I am already planning the next occasion to visit! Thank you to everyone at Hawksmoor for a truly wonderful evening!

Had dinner here last Friday, I’ve been many times in their restaurant in Spitafield but first time in Air stress and to be honest I prefer the Air street one, it is fancy, and well decorated. The safety measurement was really good and of course the steak is the best in London, the other thing that makes me prefer this one is the menu which have more varieties, I found it hard usually to go to steak restaurant with people who don’t eat meat but in this one they offer fish options not just dull dishes, so this time all our party was enjoyed it. We had dover sole fish and porterhouses steak as a main which both was delicious, and fries and lettuce herb salad which was both good . For pudding we had the crunchy bar and sticky toffee Sunday was fine bit nothing special. Drinks options are very good as well. The price is on the high side but it’s worth it.
e. c.
excellent steaks and food and cocktails. service was friendly nice. i liked the grass fed aged uk beef. very nice.
E. K.
Fantastic food. Attentive but not intrusive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu. Cool vibe. Peaceful retreat from busy shopping streets outside
Y. L.
All of the food are extraordinary, the roasted scallops was cooked perfectly. the saurce for the Chateaubriand was so nice. The sticky toffee pudding is a must have. I recommend the drink to match the pudding. If the atmosphere is more quiet or if the background music is turned down, everything would have been perfect. No hesitation for the five stars.
A. C.
Hawksmoor and steak are a perfect match! Their steaks are just superb. Have been to Hawksmoor before but my first visit to Air Street and it lived up to expectations. The steaks were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing.
J. H.
4.5 stars
A great place to come for a group or on a date, the food was lovely, special mention of the ribs on the starter menu, the main meal steak was really nice, but was slightly over cooked for what we had asked for but it was still really nice.
The desserts were lovely, the chocolate ‘bar’ made with a rare type of coco was so good, it doesn’t come with ice cream but I requested and so mine did, which was nice as our server had said it was very rich.
The servers are great, with our server being amazing, very happy and helpful.
The side dishes we had were great also, the mac and cheese bring great and the mash potato. The English greens where a bit of a shame (a side of just cabbage) was lacklustre.
The drinks are extensive offering a wide selection so there is something for everyone.
There is a few lovely ports to mention.
The interior is great and has a nice feel, all very clean and a nice relaxed style.
Was quiet when we went but got very busy/full later on.
You have to book unless you are very lucky.
Free clock room at the entrance.

Describing the Chateaubriand as beautiful is an understatement. Paired with the beef dripped fries, Mac n Cheese and mash will ensure you have a memorable food experience. Bunch it with the Peppercorn and Bernaise sauce, you're in heaven. The Grey Goose and Lemonade to top it all off!

Spent four or so hours here with dear friends on a Monday, one of which bought a box of delectable wine with them to celebrate my 40th birthday, can you please guess which one of them took it more seriously then the other friends and after failing with the first wine we began to really lean back on the restaurant, the food, the atmosphere and more importantly the exceptional staff who tailor made the night into what we wanted it to be. The healthy imbibers of us arrived early and we were greeted with a mix of beer and cocktails which were all delicious and filled our desires, I would return again to just experience those by themselves but tonight we were here to enjoy ourselves with more than just ourselves. Luckily the wine only got better after the high and the hiccup but we rode that thanks to the people that work here who saved our night. First impressions are important especially when you gather a bunch of absolute douchebags together and people wait on you. It was a faultless memorable experience and if I was lucky enough to have another group of friends that I hold as dear I would repeat it again and again.

Great atmosphere! Incredible steak! And a great thanks to Leslie ! He served our drinks most of the time and he’s was fantastic.Great service in general and I’ll definitely recommend to everyone.

Well. The food is amazing. But that's to be expected. However the service was incredible. We were served by Ewelina, who was attentive, friendly and genuinely cares. Honestly. Incredible.

Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Outstanding service from real people, drinks were amazing too. 6 out of 5 👏

Nicely furnished restaurant in a good location. The staff are warm and friendly and the service is great. Onto the food. The Porterhouse steak along with the other steaks I tried from the people in my group were exceptional!! Excellent quality meat and cooked to perfection (depending on your taste). Everyone in my group agreed. I will definitely eat here again.

This is a 5-star review for the outstanding service. The food is 4-stars, good but nothing special and a little overpriced for some dishes.
We came as a party of 5 and a little one ordering starters and mains to to share. For mains we ordered the 1kg prime rib steak to share as recommended and ask for it to be cooked medium-rare as also recommended. Overall the food was good if a little on the oily side but don't order any greens on the side as for the price £8, you get a sad tiny portion of overly cooked greens covered in oil. One of the greens side-dish was a hand full of cabbage, for £8... The Yorkshire pud starter was great.
Cabbage aside, we did have another issue in that our prime rib was not cooked medium-rare - it was more medium and some areas of the meat was closer to well done. We made this note to our waitress to tell the kitchen, she immediately asked if we would like another one which could we with us in 20 mins (+1 point). We declined as we said we will finish the meat anyway and not waste it, it was not bad but just not cooked properly, so just to tell the kitchen so they area aware for their next guests. They waitress immediately asked if we would like anything else (+1 point). We also declined as we did not feel the need to be compensated, we were enjoying most of the meal we had already.
We ordered dessert to share to finish and asked for the ice cream on some of the dessert dishes to be plated separately. Firstly so the ice cream does not melt too quickly being plated next to warmed dessert and secondly so the little one can eat some. When the dessert came, the waitress apologised saying they had forgot to plate separately and will bring us another portion of ice cream (another +1).
The biggest surprise was at the end of the meal, when we requested the bill, we had been told that the cost of our prime rib steak had been taken off the bill because it wasn't up to standard. They then took our details and asked us to return wherein the next time the prime rib would be complimentary.
This was an unexpected surprise and well worth the praise for excellent service. Will definitely return to support the restaurant and staff.
A. G.
Really enjoyed our meal we booked fpr a Sunday at 12pm. We ordered a ribeye and one Sunday roast to share. The food was delicious here but I felt the 90 mins table turnover was rushed as we were asked to move to the bar area for desserts. Even though the waitress was polite and lovely moving from table deterred us from ordering more.
D.
The best place for having steak that I have come across. Alao enjoyed the marrow as it is not something that is commonly served up. The waiter didn't seem to know much about steaks. The wine list is daunting. You would have to know your wine to pick a bottle as it has no description. The sommelier was no help as he made little effort to understand what I enjoy. My wife had Sunday roast and I thought that the vegetables were slightly over cooked. At those prices I would expect more...!
R.
Rating takes into account that for a 3 course meal with wine and 1 cocktail we spent over £110 a head after service.
Meal was affected badly before it started. Grumpy booking person told us table would be needed by 5, so spent a lot of time being annoyed by what was just slightly slow service.
In the end we left at 5.35 to a less than half full restaurant so nothing needed to be said, as we clearly had time to spare.
Food was good but not mind blowing honestly. I've definitely had better steaks at Hawksmoor and other restaurants.
J. B.
Beautiful setting, Top quality steak with sides to match. Busy but in a good way. Staff attentive but not overbearing Place was Clean and great selection of wines and spirits

This was my first experience at Hawksmoor and I absolutely enjoyed it! (Birthday treat). The food was lovely, the atmosphere was great and the vicinity was also very nice. The reception gave a lovely welcome and then we were shown to our seats by a very friendly host. The waiter was very helpful and patient with us newbies as we were totally fresh to the steak experience. He helped us to make the right choices for us and also kept checking up on us and generally giving us an excellent service. The whole time was fab. Even though we had a booking for 2&1/2hrs, they were able to extend it a little more so we could take our time to really soak up the time we spent at Hawksmoor. I would highly recommend it.

My husband and I went to Hawksmoor to celebrate our anniversary on Monday. Pre-pandemic, Hawksmoor Air Street was one of our favourite restaurants but we hadn't been since. This was our first visit back and we hoped the standards of food and service hadn't changed. Having been on Monday, we were so happy (and relieved) to confirm that the food is still so delicious, and the servers are still so friendly and professional. This time Giorgia served us and she was absolutely wonderful, and so attentive. What we love most about Hawksmoor Air Street is the food, the service, the ambience and space. We can't wait to go again and would recommend anyone to go there for the best steak in London.

Fab venue with amazing food- fillet steak was sumptuous & served by attentive staff...

I accidentally deleted my previous review, don't have time to rewrite the details version. In short, the Sunday roast was amazing, the roast meat was done perfectly, it really is pink in the middle! All the sides, potatoes, garlic, onion, carrots and the greens complement well with the roast meat. We also got an order of the Cauliflower cheese which is similar to Mac and cheese except it isn't using macaroni. The staff and the waitress who served us were all very friendly and professional. Last note, please be sure to make reservation!

Ok, so everybody seems to love this place but I wasn't entirely convinced during my visit.
The decor is decent but you can really tell that's it's a bare dining hall with sprinklings of art deco adornments. Service was very good and attentive.
I ordered a ribeye steak, and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. Presentation was poor. It was very thin, and I've had much thicker juicier ribeye at restaurants not supposably famous for their meat like Hawksmoor.
I was much more impressed by their seafood, which my wife ordered. Quite strange for a place famous for it's meat and steak.
Overall, I have to say I was a bit disappointed by this Hawksmoor, although they have won a new fan in my wife, who loved their seafood.

One of tge best steak restaurants in London. Wide range of cuts and delicious starters! Quite pricey but worth the treat once in a while :)
M. A.
A unique place that is out of the way and in an unexpected location. The staff are fantastic and friendly.
I had the Dover Sole and it was delicious. The salad wasn't what I was expecting but the sides were excellent especially the triple cooked fries, they were tasty.
A. L.
Well. The food is amazing. But that's to be expected. However the service was incredible. We were served by Ewelina, who was attentive, friendly and genuinely cares. Honestly. Incredible.
J. S.
Came here for a special meal with my partner and was not disappointed. The food was lovely and had lots of flavour. The staff were excellent too, thank you Ioannis for the great service.
J. R.
Really enjoyed the meal here! Best Hawksmoor meal compared to the others in my opinion. My portion of beef was cooked exactly how I enjoy it. We selected the express menu, which was quick and actually really well priced. Cut of meat was surprisingly good considering. Cosy quiet restaurant with very friendly staff. Wasn't very busy when we went, a lot of empty spots, but we were actually quite fine with this! They serviced us quickly after we had mentioned a showtime we were trying to make. Really appreciate the extra effort on the staffs part, thank you for this! Overall would definitely return again and recommend this place to others.
F.
Outstanding food quality and value for money ,impeccable service not intrusive at all and overall another great experience delivered by Hawksmoor.
We had Scallops ,Beef carpaccio, Pork ribs as starter cooked to perfection. Ryb Eye as main with chips, Mac&Cheese, bernainese sauce, spinach and peppercorn sauce.
Thank you
I. I. N.
The best beef in London tender, juicy and sweet taste. Too good to be missed. Ambience is great. Make sure you book ahead otherwise you cannot get a seat. The best beef in London, will come back again
N. T.
You should try their cut! Last time I ordered a chateaubriand 900g and shared between two! Chateaubriand was amazing and paired with a perfect wine! You need to visit before 7 to get a good cut otherwise you will end up with normal steak which is not too bad!
The highlight of my visit is their sticky toffee pudding!!! They make one of the best sticky toffee pudding in town- I love it. So don’t forget to order sticky toffee pudding if you like sweet ( who wouldn’t 🤭)
C. E.
Really great food - manchester branch was a touch better. Starters, mains, sides & sauces all good 👍 we went for a drink in the bar area first before our seating time, we asked where we should sit and the staff looked at us as if we were weird and were a bit unhelpful/cold towards us. Restaurant area had no issues.
J. C.
Excellent Fillet mignon and a slightly tougher rump both done well. Also the starters of the Potted beef with yorkies and gravy was delish. Service was good overall. Place was packed. Highly recommended. However beware for those with a limited budget, the place is a bit pricey. You gotta also try the steady Pete Ginger beer...eye-opener.
D. B.
Cocktails. Huge chunks of meat. Amazing spuds and veg. Sensational gravy (and I don't particularly like gravy). Wonderful ambience. What's not to love?
C.
Steak was good. But sides were borderline disappointing. Service was ok.
D. L.
This place is always full and for a good reason. Great service, superb meat with multiple options, the sides are also amazing. Just go with what you like, don't think you can go wrong. A great selection of wines to accommodate your great steak. Prices aren't cheap but feel reasonable for the quality. I will definelty return and so should you when you are after a high quality steak in Central London, I highly recommend one of the many Hawksmoor around!
A. B.
A lovely Sunday Roast experience. Service was attentive, and the food was impeccable. We tried the Sunday Roast special along with a number of recommended starters and side dishes. All highly recommended especially the baked mushrooms.
R. M.
Wow wow and again wow. The meat was wonderful I'm so much in love with this place. The staff are great. Thank you for all.
A. J. M.
There are many places to choose from when eating out in central London; of course dependent on your palate. Hawksmoor is British enough to have a roast dinner on their menu. The meal was adequate in size, including a twist with the vegetables that made the usual roast different. The staff were pleasant, friendly and eager to serve. The atmosphere post lockdown, was on the jovial side, with dinners clearly having a good time. Happy dining and stay safe. Disfruta.
G. K.
I haven’t been a steak fan until I went at Hawksmoor. The steak quality is at excellent at relatively reasonable prices. Wasn’t very impressed by the side dishes, but you don’t need them really. Try Chateaubriand, and the sirloin steak.
J. D.
Fantastic steak experience, definitely recommend, best steak I've had, pricey but worth every penny! Will go again!
The sides were also of great quality and very good service from the waitets
A. B.
Jim was just fantastic - made us feel so welcome and really took care of us. The service is just as amazing as the food!
P.
Lovely place been here twice now and it's always a lovely evening out. First time was for my 40th and second time was for my mum's birthday :)
Food and service is always amazing as is the friendliness of the staff. This will become a yearly festive meal out for me and family.
M. C.
Nice location, friendly staff and some of the best food you could ever ask for. Arguably the best place I've ever been to for a steak. Its quite expensive but definitely worth visiting at least once in your life. 👍
N. G.
Amazing steak, superb staff and extremely friendly.
Asked about the source of the meat and the waiter was able to instantly provide the details without missing a beat.
Highly recommend the restaurant if you are in the area!
L. P.
Underwhelming experience for the price. Too busy and noisy and too many waiters visiting the table. My rare ribeye steak was perfectly done and tasty. I can also recommend marrow-bone with onions.
H. M.
Second visit to Hawksmoor and the steak was very good, as per last time.
We were served by Jess and she was genuinly fantastic. She was genuine and fun made us laugh all night. Great evening, thank you Jess
J. C.
Hands down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, but what really stole the show for me was my dessert. I had a rhubarb pavlova and it was heavenly! The right amount of refreshing and sweet after a decadent meal of steak. Would definitely recommend and come back for more.
b.
Always amazing visiting Hawksmoor Air Street. Always on point with food and service. Steak is amazing
D. C.
Order the Burger, their take on a Big Mac, is elegant devoid of condescension. I paired this magic meat sandwich with their self-crafted beer, a Hawksmoor IPA, delicious is served in a sophisticated black can and equally chic label. The burger beer combo, side of fries. Bravo Hawksmoor.
D. T.
Being a yorkshireman I like value for money so I guess as London prices go this was OK. The steaks are amazing and the staff were great too. Only criticism from me is how noisy the place is. If you want to chat to others around your table then be prepared to shout at each other.
W.
Went for the express menu, which was great value. So accomodating with my dietary requirements and perfectly cooked steak. Will definitely return.
a. m.
Nice place , amazing food, filet of beef was delicious 😋 juicy and tender.
I really recommend 👌
A. P.
Never not going to love this place. The building itself is beautiful, as is the food. But it's always the service that makes every visit special. Don't miss out on their excellent cocktails and delicious salted caramel rollos. Go for the food - roast, streak, express menu...- go back time and again for the service.
L. L.
Although the steaks, alcohol and desserts are great, what I really come here for is the atmosphere.
The sheer size of the restaurant is impressive and the decor is like an art deco brasserie.
A good night out! (Although I do wonder how a wheelchair or pram gets up to the restaurant. I also reckon the City Hawksmoor cooks their scallops slightly better.)
W. R.
Second time having Hawksmoor, this is a great place. Personally I would go for Porterhouse steak, it has just the right balance of tender lean meat with an edge of fat. Add a bone marrow with some toasted sourdough bread for a perfect mix.
M. L.
Fabulous decor, felt like we were in some kind of retro speakeasy with dim lights, Art Deco menu and windows and cosy booths. Serves delicious cocktails and tender juicy steaks and sides, though the sides were pretty meagre. Great experience, but the food is WAY too overpriced for what it is...
T.
The best hawksmoor
Lovely setting bone marrow is to die for
S. J.
Second for restaurant in certain London, 2 minutes away from Piccadilly Circus. Stake and ribs were great and mussles were delicious.
Well trained and support friendly staff. Special Thanks to chef
N. P.
My mum was visiting for Christmas and so I decided to take her out to dinner so someplace slightly more fancy and this restaurant certainly was what we both had in mind, sleek clean decor.
I was slightly disappointed by all the items that were not available from the menu. I tried to order two starters and was told one of them has sold out...my next three choices had also been sold out. And out of the 3 seafood mains on the menu, only one was available so I felt choice was extremely limited. The food that we did manage to order was, howerver, perfectly cooked! But even so, I do find it a little too pricey...
A. G.
Delivers more than an overpriced London Steakhouse - £200 (ish) for two people, ribeye was great, Bernaise was great - don’t discount it for fear of high cost poor quality, would recommend if you in the area.
S. N.
Hawksmoor by it's reputation is usually fantastic however this meal was ok. We had the special cut Chateaubriand and Rib-Eye at the original restaurant in Air Street. Both were asked for medium but the steaks were not that hot temp wise and the Chateaubriand was medium rare. The sides of marrow bone, Mac and cheese, tripple cooked chips and British greens were fine. Felt quite rushed by the service staff and as it was a special occasion which they were aware of, and spent alot of money, this was v disappointing. Just ok all in all. Prefer the London Bridge restaurant for service and food.
Table tip*
Ask for a booth in the first half section of the restaurant if you decide to frequent.
A. B.
This place is out of this world, by far my best steak restaurant.
Service and setting is fantastic, its like a blast back in time to the 1940s.
Worth every penny..... .
P. C.
My oh my are the steaks here good! My friends and I ate our way through 3kgs of meat! And you must try the bone marrow gravy! It is probably the best sauce I've had with a steak! It's pricy alright but worth it. The wine selection is good out here but I recommend you know your wines before you get your beaks wet. Happy eating!
C. K.
Delicious steak as always. Went pre theatre menu this time which presents excellent value! And £5 corkage as was Monday. Incredible value for an early monday evening dinner.
V.
A big thank you to Jack, Jess and team for their warm and attentive service!
V. J.
If I could I'd give it 6 stars. Good service, comfortable venue. Pricey but not snobby. Enjoyed it very much! Food was impeccable. Simple but oh so delicious.
L.
Delicious Sunday roast! Plus excellent service - they took too long to bring us the lobster we ordered so it was on the house :)
A. S.
Absolutely amazing food here. Steak was cooked perfectly and tasted damn good. Stunning restaurant with great friendly staff. Well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed!
B. C.
This is a kind of fancy-yet-casual steakhouse. I confess, I found the menu a bit daunting, but the waitstaff was very happy to explain what was what and offer pairing advice as well. We had the Yorkshire pudding appetizer, followed by the bream for me and a ribeye for my husband. The fish was perfectly cooked, delicate and delicious. We shared three sides: Tunworth mash, fries, and mushrooms. The Tunworth cheese was fantastic—I only wish there’d been more! And I loved the mushrooms. They were so savory and thick. This really made for a good end to a final day on the island.
j. b.
Food and service were great. Couldn’t get a reservation online, but after a quick call to the restaurant they were able to fit us in, which was really nice
D. U.
Had 500g Rib-eye, tunworth mash and triple cooked chips. Great food and a nice glass of wine. Service is very rushed and sometimes chaotic. Waited quite a while to pay the bill. Other than that all good
B. S.
My husband surprised me with lunch here for my birthday. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly even the steak. Could not fault the service and the gentlemen was very helpful in helping me choose a champagne.
G. P.
We visited in December. I have heard a lot about this place and it definitely did not disappoint. Wine list is excellent, our waiter was very friendly and the food was just fantastic from starter to dessert. I would gladly go back!
A. A.
The crème de la crème of all state places Hawksmoor is a must visit for anybody who loves steaks. This remains to date one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in my life that’s even going to Kobe and having Kobe beef in Japan. Hawksmoor will always be up there with the greatest of all restaurants. After you’re done don’t forget to have a sticky toffee pudding it’s absolutely beautiful just like the steaks
K. B.
Visited to celebrate a 70th Birthday - a wonderful and memorable experience. The atmosphere and service were really great, with that classic 1920’s Hawksmoor vibe and a team who were very attentive and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We all had the Porterhouse steak it was absolutely delicious - highly recommended.
N. B.
This is our 3rd visit to a Hawksmoor, and I’m just now leaving a review bc our experience here was just wonderful.
So great that we came back twice!
It was our first stop off the airplane for Sunday roast, it was everything I hoped it would be.
We’ve been to the one in Borough Market and in Seven Dials, both we’re good but our server Matt G at this location was simply the best!
The food speaks for itself, it’s always perfection!
At least that’s been our experience and the wine list offers many options!
Thanks Matt, we hope to see you again soon!
C. O.
This restaurant ticks all the boxes. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. The food was outstanding.
S. L.
If you want good steak and good wine in a simple setting you cannot go wrong here...
A. D.
This place is a must visit. We had a lovely time with drinks and late lunch. The staff are high trained and know how to look after everyone.
Our table was not great but the staff accommodated our request for a change. Thank you
R. V.
I had ribeye and it was fantastic ...lady who was serving us was excellent ...I would just recomend for them to get sharper steak knifes
D. L.
High-quality steaks with outstanding sauces - we've had the porterhouse and ordered all 3 sauces and were amazed by its taste. The place gets very loud with chatter though (and no music) which surprised me.
A. W.
This is my favourite Sunday roast in London. Extremely crispy roast potatoes with a large serving of the most succulent and flavoursome beef and all topped of with the most fantastic bone marrow gravy. Great vibe and service as well within the restaurant.
T. A.
Excellent roast in beautiful Art Deco surrounding.
P. C.
Awesome dinner! Had some chateau briand for 3 and it was perfect. Really nice service as well, Jordan was very knowledgeable and able to recommend a nice wine as well as a superb after dinner rum. Def coming back!
J. M.
2nd visit and as awesome as before. By far the best steak I've had, you must try the marrow gravy. Yes, it's an expensive meal the experience and friendliness justify it, coupled with great food and drink. Give the shaky Pete a try, very refreshing. Will go back again and again...
W. N.
Despite being praised by all the food critics in London, I personally think their steak quality is not worth the price. I tried the filet and porterhouse steak, both were lack of flavour and the porterhouse was too chewy.
C. M.
Dined alone and the staff (Kyle in particular) made me feel really welcome and at ease. The steak (rib-eye) was really delicious: melt-in-mouth and full of flavour. Pricey, but worth it.

This place is so good I almost don't want to review it and let the secret out. I've never tried the fish, but it looks and smells incredible, I will try it on my next visit and update this review. There is no better steak in the country.
Hawksmoor is the kind of restaurant I will only visit once or maybe twice a year. Expect to pay around £200 for a two course meal with alcoholic drinks for two people - it's not cheap. But let me tell you why it's worth it.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and informal whilst being classy and elegant. In the heart of London, escaping the hustle and bustle can be a rare treat. The service is upmarket, they'll take your coat and show you to a table straight away.
The menu is refined with simple choices - the prices of the steaks vary based on the weight. Personally I love their ribeye as it is tastiest and juiciest. My rare steak was cooked to perfection and the most delicious steak I have ever eaten. Don't get me started on the perfect steak sauces...
The sides complement the steak exquisitely, be careful not to go over the top and order too many though, the portions are good sizes. Mac and cheese was my favourite, and the creamed spinach.
The cocktail menu is great, the waiters know exactly what to suggest and the wine list is plentiful.
The toilets are spotless - as is the entire place.
All in all, you will not leave Hawksmoor hungry or unhappy. It's a real treat to go for dinner here and I couldn't recommend it more.
M. E.
Hawksmoor is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in London! We go once or twice a year and usually for a celebration. Last night was our anniversary and everyone there treated us so well. We are wondering what the hiring process is because every member of staff, in every Hawksmoor restaurant is lovely, friendly, attentive and go out of the way to make sutlre we have an amazing evening. We always leave feeling pretty special. Thanks fron us both!
F. Z.
Excellent quality. Price reasonable for central London (not cheap but good price for the quality and location)

Great food wine and service
X. C.
Great staff very friendly food was good too.
G. L.
Everything was perfect, and the staff really nice and professional. The location is so nice in Picadilly. The scallops, the meat and the dessert...really good. It's not cheap, but it's worthit.
G. M.
Lovely place to eat had the pre theatre dinner 3 courses for £25 friendly and helpful staff would visit again.
N. F.
You'll always get a brilliant steak here, very decent food. Amazing cocktails also.
S. A.
Smoked Salmon 9/10
Bone marrow 9/10
Beef carpaccio 8/10 …
L. G.
Shared an amazing porterhouse steak. You'll wait for your dinner for a while as they let it rest so it's perfect.
A. T.
Best steak in London. Their restaurant at Air Street is huge and spacious, great for dates or big groups. Also, their wine recommendation is on point for different courses.
C. L.
The temperature of my steak was not I asked. It was over cooked. But we had such a nice server. So our dinner here was not all bad.
J. P.
Great food and staff, came here for a friend’s birthday and had a great time, highly recommend.
A. V.
Brilliant service and amazing quality . Quite expensive to come regularly but great value for price due to their outstanding products . Waiters are super friendly and helpful .
m. h.
Loved it steak was amazing very busy place great atmosphere
K. M.
I ordered 1kg Porterhouse steak. It was an excellent cut of meat, wasn't chewy at all, love the thickness of the steak 😍 However I was still hungry after eating and lights in the restaurant were almost non-existent so it's not very camera friendly, luckily I had my tripod with me to take this picture with long exposure shooting of 8 seconds
E. C.
Great food and ambience. Our rib-eye was medium cooked and tasted amazing!
Y. P.
I was so excited about going here but it was a bit of a let down.
The staff who greeted me were great, and accommodated my request for a quiet table.
However, when trying to get a staff member's attention for anything was incredibly difficult when they are all dressed like customers! You couldn't tell who was working and who was a guest!
My steak (pictured) was ordered rare. This is not rare and so I left half of it. I expected more from a steak restaurant.
However, the creamed spinach is to die for. I don't know what they put in it but I imagine that's what magic unicorn dust would taste like.
So a mixed bag really. It started off really well and then just went downhill from there
C. M.
Dined alone and the staff (Kyle in particular) made me feel really welcome and at ease. The steak (rib-eye) was really delicious: melt-in-mouth and full of flavour. Pricey, but worth it.

Probably the best pre-theatre meal I've ever had. Fantastic value for money too.
A must!
S. E.
Great service, great waiter and amazing good! Lovely atmosphere

The service we recieved here was impeccable. The food delicious. Our waiter was a real gent, lovely with our children.
Cannot recommend this place highly enough,
C. G.
Amazing steak menu, great vibes, smooth efficient service.
M. A. F.
Great food. The crab was amazing and so were the cocktails
S. F.
Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing atmosphere!
You can also bring your own wine for a set fee which was really helpful
H. S.
Steaks are not over priced but the sides are a bit. Service is absolutely perfect! Recommendable place:)
t. m.
Had better steaks felt like the pan wasn't hot enough when it was cooked. Great service though and the restaurant itself is nice. Quite pricey. Menu was different to the one on website
n. 5.
Nice venue, second time we have been. Service was very good. But the steaks were over cooked and the salad was over priced.
L.
A very nice place to have a meal with friends! The environment is excellent and the steak tasty really yummy!
V. L.
This is not the best example of the Hawksmoor genre as while food is to the same very high standard as all the other Hawksmoor establishments, service can be slow, sloppy and inattentive.
The biggest issue was that we waited 45 minutes for our main courses and ended up eating so quickly we didn't really enjoy it as much as usual. Won't be giving up on Hawksmoor but will be sticking to the other branches in future.
D. D.
Daughter's Birthday dinner with family. Steaks were awesome and husband loved the monkfish. Great service
R. F.
Great pre theatre meal! And great value!
M. W.
Good steak good service but not the best in town
N. L.
Very delicious, sunday is very good, meat not heard and service is very nice

Went for pre theatre meal. Service was fast and friendly which is important as it eliminates stress. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Would go again and this time take my time .

By far the best Steak restaurant around. Been many times and to the other branches but the Air Street one for me stands out the most.
The bar with the sophisticated menu including mind blowing cocktails are to die for.
The food is simply out of this world. Quality steak, fresh seafood and just when you thought it couldn't get any better the lemon cheese came arrived. I could have quiet easily had about 7 of those. It's a tad pricey to be visiting too regularly. If you haven't been it's a MUST!
J. D.
Great food and drinks, everything ordered was fantastic.
R. L.
Great food and atmosphere. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
J. W.
Excellent place. Mussels and the IPA are world class. Premium dining in atmospheric environments at competitive prices.
J. M.
Reasonably priced if you book using OoenTable and get the set Menu. Alternatively pay the nornal prices which are a bit steep but the food quality is good so you might not be disappointed.
Very surprised by how good the Pina Colada Sundae was
R. P.
This was a pre-theatre dinner as part of my birthday treat to myself and I had been looking forward to it for quite a while.
The location itself is only a few seconds walk from Piccadilly Circus underground station Regent Street exit. We checked in downstairs before being directed up the lovely staircase to the bar where we took a seat to wait for our table in the restaurant. The decor is wonderfully Art Deco, and the lighting subdued. The cocktail waitress came over and poores us some water and took our drinks order.
Shortly after our booking time, we were showed through to our booth in the main restaurant where the decor and lighting are carried through. It was difficult to chose from the menu as there were so many dishes that I wanted to try, however I plumped for the crabmeat on toast and ribeye, whilst my friend went for the queenies and the ribeye.
The crabmeat was delicious (I've not had it before), and finding some shredded gherkin amongst the watercress was a welcome surprise taste sensation. My friend's queenies looked amazing, and considering he doesn't normally share his food, offering one to me to taste was a bit of a big deal - but oh my, what wonderful flavours!
If there is one thing a steak place needs to do right, it's the steak - my ribeye was cooked to perfection. I asked for medium, and it was a true medium - not almost well-done like most places would do - and the knife hardly required any work to cut through it. The sides we ordered worked perfectly - creamed spinach, beef dripping fries, and maple bacon (which almost deserves its own review - a thick piece of bacon chop with so much flavour and texture).
A late order of grilled marrow was added by my friend. I wasn't sure what to make of it - it's not something I have had before, and wouldn't be something I would have picked - but I am trying to eat more new things, so I gave it a go just adding a little to each mouthful. It's an odd sensation and won't be for everyone, but my friend's description of concentrated beef flavour is apt. I can see why people add it to gravy.
Dessert for me was an espresso and the peanut butter shortbread with salted caramel ice cream. The shortbread was lovely and warm and just between crumbly and soft. Under the ice cream was a lovely warm sauce - probably hazelnut - which really added to the overall flavour of the dessert.
The service here was amazing - everyone was so welcoming and efficient and knew who had ordered what when items were brought to our table.
Expensive, but worth it!
D. C.
The jury is still out on Hawksmoor serving London's finest steak..I know I have reservations but what I do know is.. their customer service is 5 star plus. Was half an hour late for my reservation because my friend for.out of town got lost and then delayed, I rang up to advice 15 min delay and they were so accommodating. They allowed my friend use the phone to call me too. I had monk fish and celariac with mushrooms, lentils, and greens it was sooo good! Paired with reisling! Friend had the rib eye and she was very pleased. Would go again
S. F.
Been to this one and seven dials, always fabulous food, wonderful steaks, but the star of the show that never fails in quality and superiority is their sticky toffee pudding. Theirs is the BEST I've had in my life, really can't get any better than that, the clotted cream is so smooth and velvety. Whatever you do, do not skip the pudding at the end of the meal, you will not regret it!
R. R.
Amazing service and staff. They are very attentive, they are very knowledgeable about their menu and they will recommend you the best options for your own taste. Food and drinks are always on point.
D. M.
Fantastic steak, thoroughly enjoyed it, amazing mac n cheese, all quite expensive but very much worth it for a special occasion
Y.
Excellent steaks. Highly recommended. Professional Service.
M. S.
Great steak, I had the ribeye, just fantastic as we're the sides of spinach, pepper corn sauce all cooked to perfection.
S. S.
Amazing steak and very attentive staff with a lovely atmosphere.
P. S.
Food and service were good. Missing a star because dessert and starter could have been better.
B. G.
Celebrated 35th anniversary after waiting a whole year for our Rib Eye. Well worth the wait. Warmly received from the ever smiling staff. Treated to complimentary glasses of champagne. The food was abso dee lish. A very enjoyable evening. Thank you
J. S.
Incredible steak, great quality meat and perfectly cooked. Good wine selection and server had good knowledge to make a recommendation
Excellent customer service too - they were out of the grilled bone marrow we wanted so they really went out of their way to make it up to us. Good covid measures in place too.
T. b.
Amazing service and food for our anniversary meal. Made the day very special. Thank you so much.
J. C.
Elegant and stylish bar. I came in with my partner for his Birthday out and when the bar tender over heard it being his birthday she arranged a surprise where he was given a warm happy birthday by the staff and given a candle lit plate of chocolates. This was completely unplanned and was really thougtful and nice. It's small things like this that really makes Hawksmoor a special place.
J. C.
There is no better steak in London - Air street also benefits from superb seafood. Chateaubriand is just gorgeous 🥩. £5 corkage on Monday makes it even better 😎
D. M.
Gorgeous art deco inspired interior and a great team as always with Hawksmoor. Delicious food and a lovely bar area to have a drink and a catch up with friends
H. I.
A busy, lively restaurant. Fantastic food and great service. We had a lovely evening.
J.
Had such a great time catching up with my friends here this evening. Great food and atmosphere (though cocktails are bit pricey).
Special thank you to our waitress Kelly for making it even better with her friendly - bubbly personality and great service. Love the art deco design as well. Will def come back :)
And yes - peanut butter shortbread is to die for 🤤🤤🤤
L. K.
Was not impressed. Very big dining room, extremely noisy and with an impersonal atmosphere. One member of staff was rude and food nothing to write home about. Absolutely not worth the price - much better alternatives in London in the same as well as lower price range.
R. W.
It was my second time dining at Hawksmoor Air Street and it was my second great experience. Absolutely LOVE the scallops and monkfish, they are both divine - can't recommend them enough. My partner was a little disappointed that the only Porterhouse available was 850g (i.e. too big for him alone), but thoroughly enjoyed the rib eye in any event and we were both raving about the anchovy hollandaise. My only complaint was the distinct lack of hazelnuts in the beetroot and hazelnut salad - I think I got 1/2 a nut only! Wine selection is fab.
R. O.
Food excellent - Sunday roast for £23 in central London is a good price and of great quality. Decor perfect and cosy. Only problem is the noise, it gets very busy and tables are right up close together so you do feel like you're packed in unless you get a booth.
N. J.
Yet again the Hawksmoor deliver top drawer quality steak! First time to the Air street diner and i was impressed with slick art deco affair and this was also matched by the hospitable and efficient service. It was the bank holiday weekend so was very busy but the service was great as was the 35 day aged rump steak we tucked into!
M.
Loved the food, great customer service and ambiance is so cosy
s. l.
Nice place on the main shopping street. GOOD steak with friendly and services mind staff
R. M.
Fantastic food with very attentive staff. The location is perfect and the décor makes for a nice atmosphere.
I. M.
Amazing food, best steak I've ever eaten. Great cocktails. Lovely staff. A real hidden gem!
A. W.
Pretty good quality but a really long wait for both the food and even the bill!
C. Y.
One of my favourite Sunday roast place in town! Great service!
A. F.
Delicious food for NYE
J. Y.
Good location, attentive service, great for a Sunday roast!
e. b.
Rearly nice! It is quality food so you pay a little more. But still feel it's value for money.
M. R.
A very warm welcome, attentive service and great food. A pleasure, as always.
H.
Always the best place for Sunday Roast
S. P.
The experience the food was superb I can't fault it
m. g.
Food & service was excellent.
Best food eaten in London.
I.
Great food, atmosphere and friendly stuff. Would recommend
A.
Very nice Sunday roast with bone marrow gravy. Beautiful place.
D. F.
Great Art Deco venue , steaks were ok though have done better myself at home! Think the add ons are a bit of a rip off given cost of steaks.
S. D.
Sticky toffee pudding.
Sticky toffee pudding sundae.
Nuff said.
Go now. Ask to sit in the bar. Order dessert. And then do it again.
Warning. Doesn't have air-conditioning in the bar. But then again, who does in London? And honestly, the dessert is worth going regardless.
H. H.
Love meal and staff were very helpful as always thank you 😊
L. L.
Fantastic steak, beautiful Art Deco surroundings albeit a little too dimly lit.
L. H.
Excellent all round, our favorite restaurant 😀
M. G.
Just a personal preference i guess, as I know most people like this place, but i think Gauchos is a much better steakhouse experience. Hawksmoor just felt like an overpriced, oversized, version on the Aberdeen Steak House.
Still a decent place - but didn't impress me like I expected. Maybe i should have gone for the Sunday roast instead of the Sirloin.......
D. C.
Good cafe. interesting presentation, delicious food
R. F.
Warm and friendly welcome, efficient staff. Great food. Salt bae who?
A. D.
Roast was enjoyable, wasn’t anything out the ordinary. Potato’s were rock hard.
G. C.
Friendly staff, and a good value Sunday beef dinner. Delicious gravy and giant Yorkshire pudding. What's not to like.
T. D.
Really good meal and excellent staff, came for a friend, max, birthday and was delighted by the meal. A great price and great food would definitely recommend to others
P. S.
Good food. A bit pricey. Try the scallop appetizer
P. D.
For a place thats pretty highly rated, my ribeye wasnt too pleasing i pretty much paid for 15quid meat and 15 quid fat and gristle. The beef dripping chips were normal fries, the best part of the meal was the spinach which shouldn't have been the case.. Also server didnt ask how our meal was at the end so i couldnt even comment on my food.
D. T.
My friends and I were having dinner over a week ago and we had the best time. Our waiter was Rahul and he was always around, we never had empty glasses and he helped us with the menu. He is great at his job and thanks to him we had so much fun. Even when we had a little issue with one dish, which can always happen, he helped us straight away and fixed it.
Thank you Rahul we will be back again soon!
J. L.
Had a little celebration here tonight & everything was incredible. Highly attentive and very thoughtful service provided and as always the food and drinks were wonderful. Thank you!!
E. s.
Super meal here as part of Eat out to help out. Nice atmosphere, great food, attentive waiter, the only downside was the cheap ketchup that was served, but that is very minor in the grand scale of things. Worth going on a monday for the £5 corkage night!
R. D.
My favourite of all the London Hawksmoor restaurants. Has a great feel about it. I’ve been many times with different people and neither myself or my guests have been disappointed. Great staff, service food and for what you get in the location it’s in, a very fair price. It’s a must visit for any meat lover and I am yet to find a rival steak house that matches this place.
R. B.
I have never been disappointed with any of my visits to this fantastic steak house: flying solo, as a couple, with young kids or in a large group of adults. The decor, the quality of the food, the service, the cocktail and wine list, even on a busy Friday or Saturday night it's never felt crowded and I've never felt rushed. Without a doubt, the nicest steaks I have ever had in London, quite possibly the UK. The side dishes are excellent: you have to try Jansen's Temptation!
J. B.
Best steak in town. Staff are awesome. Relaxed vibe
P. G.
The best steak restaurant in London along with the other sites they have. The service is 5 stars. The food is 5 stars. The ambience is 5 stars. You have to try a Shaky Pete cocktail, so refreshing. Had the Big Matt Burger this time which is their tribute to the Big Mac but 50 times better IMHO.
M. F.
Great service, amazing food, make sure you make a reservation for the Sunday roast however as the place was packed when we went. They had a reasonably priced white wine as well, and the four of us all has the Sunday roast. The beef was perfect, the accompaniments were good. Ask for some horseradish to elevate the beef even more. Pro tip, get some roasted garlic onto your Yorkshire pudding and smother it with gravy for a flavour explosion. Highly recommended!
s. w.
Best steak and service in town by miles, turn up in a tracksuit and trainers, suited and booted or a romantic date night perfect for all occasions and the staff are always so curtious. When you do get your steak just don't forget the bone marrow gravy, delicious!
P. C.
Nice upscale steak house. Steak was beautifully cooked. Sadly one of the two steak had gristle running all through the middle. Service was brilliant. Very well cooked steaks ie medium rare was just that. The Art Deco windows and mirrors throughout added wonderfully to the style and ambience. The restaurants buzzes - the bar area is quieter.
G. R.
My wife and I had a great meal at Hawksmoor. The food was really fantastic but that's not what made the meal so good.
Good service, in my experience, is usually very hard to find and I often feel disappointed with poor service at high end, expensive locations.
During our visit to Hawksmoor the service from every single member of staff was absolutely fantastic. I honestly think it was the best meal out that I have had in a very long time.
I can't recommend this restaurant enough, I am looking forward to going back.
S. W. H.
I visited Hawksmoor as part of a group on a Saturday night. The service was very impressive. Our waiter was professional, efficient and knowledgeable of the menu and wines. The service made our dining experience pleasurable as unfortunately the food was not overly impressive. Decent wine selection, great ambience and comfortable dining setting. Oh and great cocktails but the cocktail menu was a little tedious.
L. B.
Awesome best steak in London. Also great Yorkshire pudding starter. A treat.
J. L. W.
This is my favourite steakhouse in London. Has a lovely, slightly Art Deco feel. The service is great, not formal, but friendly and knowledgeable. Reminds you that London restaurants can be posh and fun. Ask for recommendations from the bar and expect to walk away with a light wallet. I hope it continues to work as they open more branches. You might be lucky if you are just two and have no reservation but otherwise book.
l.
Had a fantastic meal with my partner! The ribeye steak was out of this world. Unbelievable flavour. The man who served us was also extremely helpful and attentive.
G. W.
Booked for our anniversary meal - The team, from reception, wait staff and bartenders were incredible. Friendly, welcoming and helpful in choosing foods and wines.
The food was phenomenal - worth the £££
We both had steak (best I've ever had) with sides, marrow and dessert. Dessert was just ok, but the main more than made up. Environment is perfect, busy but not cramped, our table felt private concidering it was a busy Saturday night.
100% recommend - great team and exceptional food & environment
C. C.
We went to Hawksmoor for my brothers 30th Birthday and had the most wonderful time it really felt like an event.
Our waitress Georgia was so attentive and really made the experience special. I couldn't recommend it enough.
R. B.
5 people for 21st birthday. Restaurant interior gorgeous art deco. Steaks excellent (of course), nice sides although they could have been a little bigger. Great service, felt very personal & special effort made as it was for a milestone birthday.
T. J.
Amazing steak and sides. My wife and I had a £50 voucher but ended up spending over £100 when adding drinks and sides for 2. Every aspect of the meal and service was perfect and worth what we paid. The restaurant is very art deco which is cool but a bit lost on me. Any steak you have is going to be good but I'd recommend trying the mac and cheese and beef dripping fries.
J. A.
Best tasting steak I've ever had in the UK! The restaurant is beautiful and has a wonderful atmosphere, not to mention that the staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was amazing.
This is one of the few times I truly felt they were deserving of the (optional) service charge and I honestly wish I could give more stars. I will definitely be returning next time I go to the theatre or I'm in the area!
A. E.
One of London's best old fashioneds (Full-fat Old Fashioned)
O. M.
Best roast I have ever had and the service was spectacular.
F. i.
Air street branch.
Adore this place and its owners. Worth the price.
Quick summary:
Best steak: T bone.
Best fish: Monk fish
Best side:Mac and cheese
Best dessert: Sticky toffe pudding
Steaks: Would recommend the T bone. Rib-eye: was soggy and not delicious. Fillet: was soft and tender. Rump: stiff, meaty but tough.
Sea food:
Lobster: YES YES YES! Sea bass: flavourful perfect. Monk fish: Best in london.
Sides: Marconi and cheese, forget everything else.
Dessert: Sticky toffee 5*. the caramel crunch 3*. Peanut butter shortbread, more shortbreaddy than nutty.
Service: Friendly and accommodating. Except from one server who is the ancestor of the jim crow laws, also dresses from that era.
R. F.
Always great service and quality food! Will keep visiting!
T. D.
Great food and great service!
S. J.
very expensive but delicious
R. R.
Amazing service and staff. They are very attentive, they are very knowledgeable about their menu and they will recommend you the best options for your own taste. Food and drinks are always on point.
J.
Good food, friendly service. Good atmosphere. Recommended.
K. M.
I ordered 1kg Porterhouse steak. It was an excellent cut of meat, wasn't chewy at all, love the thickness of the steak 😍 However I was still hungry after eating and lights in the restaurant were almost non-existent so it's not very camera …
R. S.
Awesome as always. Sunday Roast is a must have
A. H.
Really friendly and prompt service. You get seated pretty quickly, even without a booking at lunch. The heritage tomato salad is refreshing. The steak is on point. There's a broad variety of drinks available - bar is well stocked.
I. T.
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the Scallops were out of this world. Definitely hurt the wallet though.
K. K.
Love Hawksmoor every.single.time! I always eat steak there but this time I really fancied fish and went for the grilled turbot. And you know what, my favourite steak restaurant also won the title of my favourite fish restaurant in London! I also love the service at Hawksmoor. Super attentive, not-salesy, waiters really know their menu and can give you the best advice.
N. M.
From the entrance till the end of the course it was perfect. Special thanks to the hosts for the meal and drinks.Next time, try to get a Martini bottle :)
J. W.
My favourite steak place in London, went for the Sunday roast and it was both reasonably priced and delicious
J. H.
Love Hawksmoor and this one did not disappoint. Some of the best steak you can get in the UK. Not cheap but worth it. The decor here is sort of art deco - very stylish and comfortable. Great location just off picadilly and staff were very attentive too. Good wine list with some reasonably priced options starting around 25 quid. Don't forget to get a box of the Rollo's to take home...
A.
An amazing experience with very friendly staff and some incredible food and drink. This was one of the best rib-eye steaks I've ever had and also the sticky toffee pudding was top notch. The atmosphere was very good with a busy but well laid out floor which meant conversation was easy to have.
To top it off the team were very quick to fix and issue with our booking, the customer service was perfect.
Highly recommended place to eat
J. C.
Went there last week with my partner for birthday dinner.
The place was packed, but staff was friendly and attentive.
The waiting time can be very long, so I recommend to order small starter.
Steak was cooked correctly as we ordered it, but was disappointed with the size of sides. My fillet steak was vainy, my partners ribeye was chewy.
The desserts was fantastic- chocolate tart and caramel sundae.
K. S.
Great places to enjoy a excellent steak and a amazing Sunday lunch. This steak house chain is across London and has a large selection of quality beef. I tend to use the restaurant in Air Street mostly which is just off the start of Regent's St. Not the cheapest if your ordering a 750 gram steak but the Sunday lunch is bargain! Good bar in great surroundings with plenty of cocktails if you just fancy a drink on your way out in town. Definitely worth trying a roast beef Sunday lunch here but make sure you book in advance, gets really busy on Sunday's.
L.
The food was absolutely fantastic. Steak, crab on toast, macaroni cheese and cream spinach was all amazing. Shame the lobster macaroni cheese is not being served anymore!
One downside was that we were charged for alcohol we didn't order (we don't drink alcohol) but that was my own fault for having faith in the waitress and not checking the bill before paying. Lesson learnt.
Update: Received a refund with no issues at all :)
J. C.
Great atmosphere. Amazing drinks. I had a custom build cocktail based on ingredients I liked and it was really good. Food was good - portions are fair size. We will come again to try new things.
Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and how things should be done.
G. C.
Great atmosphere and great cooking. What's not to like
N. K.
What a... place, atmosphere, cocktails, wine selection, starters and most importantly WHAT A STEAK 🤩 the place is great for a romantic date, dinner with family or business meeting. They also offer some vegetarian or vegan dishes among a great selection of a few seafood dishes for non- meat eaters. I definitely recommend the place as it is 5/5 regarding service and value for money. To make sure you get a table just book it in advance.
D. B.
Had Sunday dinner there, amazing food and friendly staff
S. H.
We've eaten here twice, both times were great experiences. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. We grabbed a drink at the bar awaiting our table, which was available just as our drinks were ready. We had a steak, a fish pie, a sugar bacon rib (which was amazing) and parsnips and greens as a side. All the food was perfectly cooked and delicious. Definitely worth a visit.
S. F.
Great dishes all around but highlight had to be the sticky date pudding - must try!! 3 of us shared a 1.2kg prime rib and it came in a skillet. I did think it could have been served a bit warmer - it was borderline room temperature. Some of the sides we had was the beef dripping (shoestring) fries and cream spinach that I'd order again.
l. m.
Stunning building. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is incredible and the side dishes like the creamed spinach is a must. Also, the marrow bone sauce is out this world...then there is steak. Oh make sure you try the sticky pudding 😙
W. H.
Great atmosphere and location. Nice table setup and selection, partial view of the street. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Food was quite good. Appetizers were the highlight of the meal, the potted mackerel was premium. Scallops were above average and presentation was great, only 3 scallops though.
The wine that was recommended was very good and reasonably priced. Our main dishes (serloin and turbot) were quite tasty but the presentation was non-existent. For the price I expected more than just a piece of meat on a plate. Overall good experience, gratuity is added at 12.5%. two apps, two glasses of wine, and two mains cost over £130.
S. M.
I struggle with the steak at Hawksmoor. For what you're paying I'd expect better. Everything else on the menu is a delight. The service is good enough. Maybe not the best place for fun larger groups. On our last visit we were asked to keep it down, we have been much louder at other comparable establishments.
s. s.
Lovely meal and friendly staff made us feel relaxed. A thoroughly enjoyable time had, and although a steakhouse, the smoke mackerel salad was ace and the potted beef starter awesome.
F. S.
If you want an experience this is it. It will hurt your pocket but it is worth it. Had scallops for starters and they were delicious. Shared 850 g porterhouse for main and it was the best piece of meat I've had. The famous sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was very tasty. Excellent service, location, venue and food.
L. B.
One of the best dining rooms in London - all wood and leather. Service is good, steak is fantastic (I don't buy into the best steak in London argument - tastewise, I'm not sure anywhere can really lay claim to that), but the extras can be a bit annoying... Chips with that? £6 please! Sauce? That'll be another... If you are happy to dig deep, it's worth it.
M. G.
Ordered a steak medium-rare and a few sides, but the steak came out medium-well. I pointed this out to the waiter who was very apologetic and agreed that it was medium-well.
They took away the steak and the half eaten sides and brought an entire fresh meal back 15 minutes later.
After ordering some extra wine, we were offered the extra wine on the house.
Great steak. Great service. Lovely interior.
L. M.
Amazing food. Good portions. Fab wine menu.
J. M.
Ordered 1.1kg porterhouse between 3, along with sides. Bone marrow gravy was amazing, along with the creamed spinach.
Get the scallops to start. Banging!
Great service. Makes the world of a difference, especially when they know what they are talking about.
Very relaxed atmosphere and the bar staff know their stuff too.
I have been to other Hawksmoor, this is definitely my favourite!
R. R.
Perfect steaks in a warm venue. We had a rib-eye and chateaubriand to celebrate a birthday and both were cooked perfectly. The waiter provided good guidance on the different cuts of meat and how each should best be cooked
N. Y.
Dined here yesterday and it was undoubtedly the best steak I have ever eaten, the service was relaxed and friendly. Read the reviews before we went and I wasn’t disappointed by this place. It was outstanding. We definitely be eating her again.
S. H.
The steak was above average and decent.
N. S.
Delicious, professional, great service, fairly priced.

Excellent, as remembered before lockdown. Happy friendly staff. Great food. Well done.
J. F.
My family had an awesome Sunday roast at Hawksmoor on 6/23/19 at around 15:00. Not only was the food delicious but we had an absolutely great waiter. Every question we had, whether it was about the meal or a local attraction, he spent time to thoroughly explain. Rahul should be recognized for great service!!
a. j.
Really nice steak restaurant. I love that it’s so British! Staff are friendly and attentive. Restaurant is huge but gets very busy so would advise booking ahead. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of food. The atmosphere is great and very rustic.
G. H.
Faultless food every time I visit. My number one choice by far is the fillet steak. The meat is so soft and is always cooked how I like it. I'd also recommend ordering the macaroni cheese too, as its so gooey and melts in your mouth. The staff are lovely too :)
J. O.
Fantastic restaurant and amazing food. It's a shame we experienced a very long wait for food (seemed to be the case with others too) but the staff were apologetic so hopefully just a one off.
Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.
J. S.
Roast was great, worth the price. Restaurant was really nice, great environment. However, the service let it down for me. We had a table of 7 booked and 2 of us were about fifteen minutes late. They kept pressuring us to order before the remaining guests arrived, even suggesting we order on their behalf despite it only being 15 minutes after we had sat down. Once we finished dessert, the waiter straight away brought the bill without us requesting it, along with the card machine. We had the table booked for 3 hours, and finished eating after 2 hours. Whilst chatting at the table after desert, we noticed the staff glancing constantly at our table waiting for us to leave. It became incredibly uncomfortable and in the end we left well before our 3 hours were up.
C. W.
Good service, prompt and friendly. Came here for the Sunday Roast and it did not disappoint; great juicy beef with a complex marinade of flavour, and rich crispy potatoes which go incredibly well with the gravy. Creamed spinach was good too, though not quite as great as the version served in steakhouses in the US. Toffee pudding sundae potentially good enough to be life-changing; a wonderful marriage of sweet and sticky toffee pudding, rich clotted cream and an amazing ice cream with flavour and texture good enough to beat out anything you can get in a grocery store.
F. M.
The first thing that really caught my attention was the sheer size of the restaurant. It's probably the biggest restaurant I've been to in London. Yes, I realise this is completely irrelevant but I felt like that point had to be made.
I was here on a Sunday for their Sunday roasts and I was quite impressed. Whilst not the best Sunday roast I've had here it's certainly pretty good. More surprisingly, it came with a price tag of a very reasonable £21.
The beef was cooked medium rare and the Yorkshire pudding was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The gravy complimented the meal really well too although I couldn't taste the bone marrow flavour at all. The veggies are... Veggies. Nothing exceptional but a must have side attraction for any Sunday roast.
All in all, it's a good Sunday roast at a restaurant with a cool and dark ambiance at a very reasonable price.
M. N.
Amazing tasting steak! With a great selection of sides. Highly recommended to anyone who loves their steaks!
Only downsides were that it took awhile for the food to come out and that it did get a little loud in the restaurant at times.
E. R.
Pre-theatre menu is fantastic value!
J. S.
Made a last min reservation for 19:30, been a few times without and the place has been fully booked. Never been disappointed with the steak.I had fillet , cooked medium with mash and macaroni cheese on the side, all prepared perfectly. The anchovy hollandaise sauce was a perfect match for my steak. Service was prompt and friendly even though the restuarant was busy. Will definitely be back.
A. V.
Had diner at Hawksmoor on Friday evening, we've been 20 min late but we still been accommodated which was very nice. We've been sat at the end of the restaurant close to the toilet, not the best but we had a pretty decent size table. Our waitress was very professional and efficient. She answered on all our questions about the food preparation.
As I remember her name was Lenka, we truly appreciate her prompt service and non intrusive attitude. At the end we had a chat with her and she was very friendly. Love the staff which do their job professionally and they know when there is space to go further.
Food was good, we had Burrata and Scallops to start with, absolutely delicious. Cod and Monk fish as main course, good size portions but not the best.
Still a place where I'd go again, very efficient service which is hard to find in these days!
Thank you again!
J. C.
Best steak ever and great wine list with affordable options
P. C.
Awesome food, wine and service. I've been here twice now, the first was for a family Sunday Roast which was incredible. The last visit was for a celebratory lunch with former colleagues, both of whom enjoy good food and wine. Great steaks and good wine - puts the pressure on the last colleagues recommendation...
P. H.
Arguably the best steak in London, by far. I brought a crew of Texans and they were throughly impressed. The beef is prepared perfectly, excellent selection of wines, and the atmosphere is the right amount of elagence without felling stuffy. Go if you can
L.
Beautiful restaurant with attentive staff and a good pre-theatre offer.
l. b.
Great steaks. The sides were not up to the same standard however. The beers and service were good.
J.
Unfortunately forgotten the name out our (Italian) waiter but visited for my birthday with my partner and had THE best dining experience to date. have visited the Manchester restaurant previously. Fantastic service and due to slightly longer wait, had desert deducted off the bill with a drink! Despite being outside of Herefordshire (home of best steak) was amazed at the Rib-eye that I chose. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't minding spending a few more £££ on a proper steak. See you soon.
G. Y.
I’ve eaten here a few times and had great experiences but my most recent trip was a little lacking.
We were lucky to get a table, granted, but the service wasn’t quite up to scratch and the food was a little less than expected. After being brought the menus, we were left for quite some time, not even being able to order drinks. In the end we flagged someone down and did both at the same time. A starter of Yorkshire puddings and potted beef was great, but the chateaubriand was perhaps a little overcooked for medium rare, still tasty but drier than expected. Bearnaise was ordered but peppercorn delivered which needed to be replaced and the Bone marrow gravy didn’t seem to taste like it did before (I didn’t order it but my dining partner did and wasn’t sure about it enough that she checked with the server). The sides were good but a little on the small side. Still, it’s a good meal, but I came out not as satisfied as I have been previously.
C. P.
Another fantastic meal at Hawksmoor. There were 6 of us on a business lunch and every member of the party was extremely satisfied. The waiters were very helpful in advising people on dishes, and also which wine to pair with each course. Thanks again, I'm sure we will be back soon.
R. W.
Pity the tourists, as they ignorantly flock to Angus Steakhouses, they know not what they do. What a shame when a Hawksmoor is tucked away in their midst, just off Regent Street. The restaurant itself is surprisingly large: you should get enough space for a degree of intimacy. Anyway, let’s cut to the chase....the meat. Is it any good? Yes it is, it’s gorgeous. The service too is exceptional. I took in the Fillet steak, washed down with Beef dripping Fries and a Sticky Toffee Pudding. Henry VIII would be proud. Is it better than Gaucho? The jury’s still out.
D. F.
Oh! My! God! So awesome! The decor was unique and incredible. The experience was heavenly as I was served a meal fit for God himself. Try out the huge selection of incredible appetizers. Make sure to save room for dessert, because that was the best part of the meal! This is definitely a spot I'll be frequenting.
O. N.
This is an excellent bar/restaurant. First of all I love the location in an old building at Picadilly Circus, and the interior decor has preserved this feel from many years ago. You can eat either at the bar which is more cozy or at the restaurant, I like the charm of the bar. The food is fantastic, this is where you can get some of the best steaks in London. And you can even get some bone marrow (in large quantity) with your meat. And they have a great wine selection. Perfect. Highly recommended.
R. J.
Loved it. Not at all stuck up. food prices good for a London restaurant. Steak was amazing (get it rare it's good don't spoil with over cooking it). Wine list extensive you could spend a lot on that. I'll definitely be going back
H. C.
Hawksmoor located near picadilly circus.
Very dimly lit inside.
Super friendly staff on the front desk to help, have to walk upstairs for the bar and restaurant.
Ordered a few cocktails to start and had a very knowledgeable server to recommend a cocktail to my liking.
The steak was great as per usually, perfectly cooked and great quality meat.
Staff are very attentive and polite.
Definitely one of the best steak restaurants in London.
T. B.
Top service and amazing food! Can't wait to come back.
J. K. L.
A lovely and indulgent treat for special occasions. Great assortment of cocktails to start off with, and delicious cuts of steak to select from. The sticky toffee pudding is a must-get for dessert.
N.
I'm from Argentina and I know about my steaks. This is definitely the best steak I've had in London. It was tender and soft. Cooked perfectly. I'm not a fan of sauces to go with the steak but the bone marrow sauce was incredible. Enhanced the flavour of the steak in a way I was not expecting. Broccoli with anchovy butter and the grilled bone marrow were my favourite sides. Can't wait to go back
O. M.
Best roast I have ever had and the service was spectacular.
J. T.
Excellent food and service, a joy to spend an afternoon in a place where people care about what they are doing and how they are doing it!
J. L.
Walked in on a cold, snowy evening without reservation. Front desk was able to find us a seat at the bar area fairly quickly. We decided on a fish, rump steak and lobster mac and cheese.
The best part of the meal was the lobster mac and cheese - totally hits the spot every single bite. Got to say.. I was disappointed by the steak, given the rave reviews that I've read/heard. The staff attending to us was quick to offer to change a steak for us but we declined; good service recovery though. Fish was alright.
Found the presentation of the food strangely basuc, especially for this high-end restaurant - each item was simply served plainly on a plate. The fish and steak kinda looked lonely on their respective plates.
s. r.
Nicely presented food, engaging service, very pleasant.
A. M.
Hawksmoor seems to be yet another London restaurant chain that has mastered the art of manipulating social media and created a huge amount of spin, rather than substance, upon which their brand has been built.
One of the things that struck me about this restaurant is that it's ridiculously dark - maybe I'm just odd, but I actually like to see my food when I'm eating it.
Sirloin steak here was good but not mind-blowing.
The meal I had was badly let down by the chips - McDonald's quality at best.
I just can't understand the people who rant and rave about this place like it's some kind of life-changing experience.
To me, Hawksmoor's just a decent, adequate, expensive steakhouse chain, with restaurants strategically placed in tourist-trap areas.
Service good, but again, nothing special.
W. G.
Best steak I've ever had in my life. The cocktail bar in front of the main dining area served fantastic cocktails at a price slightly more reasonable than most cocktail bars in London. A cocktail with friends before going in to dine is the perfect experience. All the steaks are fantastic, but splash out a little for the better steaks and promise that you won't regret it! Couldn't have enjoyed it more.

When I hear things like "Best steak in London", I tend to take them with a pinch of salt. Hawksmoor though, quite literally, needs no salt. The steak (I had fillet) was perfectly cooked to my order, it was seasoned well but without detracting from the flavour of the beef. The beef was top notch, full of flavour but not tough in the slightest. The chips were lovely and crisp and even my side of buttered cabbage could have stolen the show in some establishments. This isn't your cheapest option by any means but the portion size is plenty generous and frankly it's seems fair for the quality. Add in the little touches - the decor sets the scene well with low lighting, dark wood and art deco stained glass setting the scene of a prohibition speakeasy (albeit a classy one). It was my birthday and the birthday plate they bought me with some of their homemade rolos was divine. They even undercharged us (with a smile) as they couldn't find a record of one of our drinks orders. That was what going out should be like: Coming home after with a massive smile on your face, a belly full of delicious food, wondering how soon you will be able to visit again!

Quite simply the best steak you will find in London. Sunday roast's are equally delicious. Brilliant value. Staff are always amazing.
Also try the cocktails. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely place for Sunday roast. Quality of food is excellent, the soft drinks fresh and interesting and staff always present but barely noticeable when not needed. Coffee was well balanced and there was an attention to smaller things such as serving the chocolate pieces on a chilled plate. the place was reasonably busy and everyone happily chatting along with the overall chatter noise barely being affected.
Well worth the premium price both for food, atmosphere and staff.

This place was wonderful and beautiful! We came for anniversary so this was a very nice way to treat ourselves. The menu has great selections and the drinks certainly don't disappoint. The decor is gorgeous and launches you into another era. The staff were polite, provided great service and were very personable. Surprise dessert on the house was the cherry on top! We'll be back another time for sure.

My wife and I were in town and came here looking for a special dinner. The menu and cocktails were good but the food was nothing special, especially considering the price. My filet mignon was among the fattiest I’ve ever had albeit with a good flavor. If you don’t mind spending a lot for slightly above average food, go here.

Hawksmoor, is a well presented steak restaurant that delivers great steak time after time.
The experience is welcoming and friendly, but with professionalism from booking to leaving the restaurant.
I appreciated the email confirmation, the welcoming host, and splendid team, whom once again delivered delightful food.
If you like steak you need to know Hawksmoor.

Visited for two friends' birthdays, and the level of service was second to none.
I prebooked, a set menu and advised the reservations manager I had two girls celebrating their birthdays and asked if we could have a nice table. She explained she could request it but couldn't guarantee and would do her best.
When we all arrived we were taken to our lovely booth at the back of the restaurant, nice, quiet and cosy for us. Given advice on our red wine which was helpful.
Each course of our set menu was delicious with the dessert being my absolute favourite I've had. Peanut butter shortbread. Just delicious. The birthday girls had candles in theirs, very sweet and made them smile.
All staff were attentive, not in anyway annoying. Can not recommend Hawksmoor Air street enough. Look forward to returning.

Top quality steaks but a bit over priced. For porterhouse I expect £8 per 100 grams but it is £9.5 as of March 2020. Again, quality is great, service average (they made a mistake on our fries and also once delivered someone else food to us)

This is a great place for a company but I wouldn't recommend it for couples because noise levels here are comparable to night clubs. Other than that, everything was superb. The service was very timely and friendly, the food was well cooked and delicious, the choice of wines was quite impressive. The bill was tolerable considering the location and the quality of food. I would visit this place again if I had the chance.

There was a great selection of craft beer from across the UK on the bar menu prior to being seated. The restaurant was bustling and comfortable, the staff were attentive, cocktails were delicious and well made, we ate three delicious and generous courses of fantastic food. A reasonably priced bottle of Syrah was delicious. Left very happy and satisfied.

Amazing food and service. Great choice of wines and well made cocktails. Wine was decanted though not as long as I'd like typically. Fantastic desserts and good coffee. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

Hands down the best steakhouse the UK. Personally this is my favorite restaurant in the world. The food is amazing and the service is unmatched. This is the type of place everyone should go to at least once in their life.

Went here for a friend's birthday dinner - absolutely amazing. Steaks are great but the sides are the star of the show - sublime creamed spinach, triple cooked chips, blue cheese hollandaise. The most amazing Hungarian dessert wine too. And great cocktails. It's not cheap though...But well worth every penny.

Lovely restaurant with great service and food. I was just browsing the wine list and the sommelier came over giving his knowledgeable advice. Would definitely recommend if you fancy a steak in central but it is on the pricier side.

Always great service and quality food! Will keep visiting!

Really nice. Steak was a bit over cooked. They offered me two free steaks on next visit. Didn't like the casual dress of waiting staff, could not tell who was a waiter and who was a customer. Noisy dining room when busy but smashing grub.
J. C.
Didn’t realise steak could taste so good. I hate fat on a steak normally but I had a sirloin steak and the fat was so soft and juicy it was delicious. Lovely evening- our table was really nice and the starter of scallops was to die for ! Overall lovely evening.

Cocktails were amazing, highly recommend the marmalade one!
I'm not a steak connoisseur, but you could really tell the rump steak was good to perfection! Medium rare, probably needs no sauce :) oh, I had ribs to start and they just fell off the bone 👌Living up to the best steak restaurant in London! Thought the price was decent considering the meal too!
R. M.
Nice place. Relaxing atmosphere and good service. Steak was well cooked.

Fabulous service and food. Sirloin Steak was excellent

The best steak in London in my opinion. Yes it is a bit pricey if you're not from London. We paid £150 for 2 steaks, a few sides and a bottle of wine. I'd definitely go back though. We also went on a Friday night and it was very loud and lively not a place for a dressed up romantic meal.
B. C.
Phenomenal evening here. The rump steak was cooked perfectly (a lot of places can't get rare right), I think they are the best chips I have ever had in my life, and the desert was a beautiful combination of colours, tastes and textures.
I recommend the peppercorn sauce.
Service was remarkably efficient and fast, and the staff were overwhelmingly good at their jobs.
M. P.
Amazing steaks! The service is excellent too - my steak was just a tad overdone, but the waiter took it back without any fuss and out came a new one done to perfection (and a free drink as well). Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how a restaurant deals with it that matters and they scored 10/10.

We had some great steaks at Hawksmoor and some delicious sides and starters. The atmosphere is nice. Booked on opentable a few weeks in advance and got seated right away. I'll definitely go again!
S. C.
choosing 3-course menu would be better option. staffs were nice and kind.
S. H.
The service gets worse every time I go. Meat was delicious though, and the sides really complimented the beef. My friend and I both ordered a sirloin. One medium rare, and the other medium. The waiters didn't bother to check who ordered what and couldn't answer the question as to which one was which. Would expect slightly better professionalism at an establishment such as this.
J. L.
Incredible place. Best bar staff in the galaxy.

We had an excellent meal at Hawksmoor! The staff was lovely, and all the food we ate was amazing! I highly recommend if you’re looking for a more upscale dinner. Delicious!

Went on Sunday at 6pm. Place inside was very nice, we had both liked the fact that it was dimly lit inside and we were seated near the window area in the middle of the restaurent. It was fairly busy at the time we went but this did not deter us from getting great and well cooked food at a decent time. Our waitress was fantastic and we had really enjoyed eating here.
Overall we spent about £135 for 2 mains with numerous sides, desserts and drinks. Money worth spending.
If you are coming for the Sunday roast then my suggestion is to create a booking earlier than 6pm as this is very popular and unfortunately tend to run out (absolutely for us as we were ordering steak instead)
M. T.
They have a great selection of juicy steaks and subtle wine. I haven't tried their surf yet but I hear it's good. Not a casual place, it's a good place for a date or a more formal dinner.

The Hawksmoor restaurants serve some of the best steak in London. They never disappoint. I'm very fond of their ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce. Of course the mash and gravy are superb. Excellent service and top shelf cocktails. Very good wine too. It can difficult to get a reservation due to their popularity. Best to get a reservation way in advance. Amex is accepted.

Amazing experience. EOHO deal is unbelievable, the best steak I’ve had. Plus service was spot on. Absolutely nothing to fault. Will be back and would highly recommend

Great service, wonderful food, lovely building and friendly atmosphere. Genuinely one of the most tender, melting fillet steaks I've ever had, truly exceptional. Excellent wine selection and cocktails, yes I'm drunk but man this was a great end to a great day.

My wife and I, a pair of Americans looking for a decent Sunday roast at the recommendation of a local friend, strolled in and absolutely loved every aspect of our experience. The staff treated us like royalty and were very knowledgeable, the food was beyond reproach, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is a pleasure to be a part of. We were saying, in fact, that an art-deco steakhouse probably wouldn't fly in America anymore, and that it was truly a unique experience for us. We'd gladly recommend Hawksmoor to any friend traveling to London in the future.

Amazing service! Staff all bright and bubbly. Loved the decor. It was my bf bday, I mentioned this when booking and they put a candle and HBD sign in his dessert! :) The set menu had lot of choice. The steak i had was tender I would have just liked a little more flavour. Chips amazing, starter great and the peanut butter biscuit with chocolate inside and ice cream was to die for! Would go back!

Love this restaurant. I always come here for sunday roast and everytime is a great experience. The food is very good for reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Oh Wow, wow, wow. Superior delicious steaks. Don't order too many sides or you will not be able to finish your steak. Definitely go for the bone marrow and gravy. This place is steak heaven. Beware the pudding menu and if you do opt for a chocolate indulgence be prepared for another 1500 calories!

My name is Lawrence and I am addicted to Yorkshire pudding and English gravy. (It's not actually pudding, it's a kind of puffy hollow roll). The Hawksmoor Steakhouses around London are just the answer for my addiction! Fantastic Steaks sliced for you and served in cast iron serving dishes. Mashed potatoes with English gravy are a must. Creamed spinach is a nice "healthy" addition. Wide and reasonably priced wine selection. Plenty of nice whisky options for after dinner. Friendly knowledgeable staff. You can't go wrong if you want a good steak in London.

Consistently amazing experience - great quality food (scallops are the best I've had) and staff is just a fantastic mix of friendly and professional. The room is beautifully art deco and feels very lovely without being overwhelmingly loud. Great for a date or dinner with friends. Mondays BYOW allows you to have the finest steak with the finest bottle (with 5 GBP corkage).

Good service, good staff, welcoming environment. The menu catered well for both vegetarians as well as meat eaters. Tried food off both sides of the menu and it was delicious, would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of coming here or just passing by, a very pleasant overall experience.

At 80 pounds for solo dining my experience and steak was below average. I wanted to order the fillet steak however this was unavailable, instead my waiter recommended the Chateabriand for one. It is irritating to be asked a question and be given an answer in the same breath, that being "how would you like your steak, rare?"
My Nebbiolo at 15 pounds for 125ml was excellent and at that price should be. My steak arrived and was miserable to look at no polish whatsoever. A thick sinew ran through the cut and instead of medium was medium well making it tough to cut. Sides need to be ordered separately, the chips were fine but not special however the English garden salad with herbs was the star performer.
My waiter was disappointed I didnt order starters or desert which would have pushed my bill north of 100 pounds (180 Australian dollars) but either way I left the 7 pound optional tip. Such a shame, nobody minds a premium price point as long as it delivers. On this occassion sadly was not meant to be for me.

Excellent Sunday Roast, as always. Good portion of beef, first class trimmings. Our superb waiter (Matt G in the bar area) also recommended the scampi as a starter, which was delicious (and a pleasant surprise in a place famed for its meat).
Food is always good in Hawksmoor, but the nature of such a busy London location can sometimes make the (always efficient) service seem a little impersonal. This time, the two ladies on the front desk were warmly welcoming and our waiter (Matt G) was friendly, funny and attentive. The team made the difference between a 4 and 5* review this time. Will return!

Fantastic food, service and drinks - can't say enough about it😊. Apple tart with cinnamon ice cream - yummy!

First of all, WOW! What a great night. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we loved it. THe service was excellent and unpretentious and gave us great advise on wine. Most important of all, the food was outstanding. We went for a porterhouse steak and absolutely loved it. Superb quality food, sound advice about the portion size and the wine was delicious. Gorgeous venue as well! Beautiful art deco style building. Would definitely recommend!
