Great food and great service! Wonderful nan and samosa! The butter lamb and paneer with spinach were great!

I lived near Himalaya for one year and went all the time! Now that I've moved I miss the food and the servers. I'm vegetarian and particularly loved their palak paneer, veg sheraji, spicy vindaloo with green peppers and veg jalfrezi. Also enjoyed their papadams! I always went with my partner and sitting in the restaurant was such nice time together, I recommend eating in if you can 😀

Curry house from the 80s!
I went with a friend on a Saturday night, and we were the only people there. It's brightly lit, with brick pattern wallpaper and a grumbling wine/beer fridge in the corner. The waiter was friendly but had trouble with our wine order, so he brought the bottles over to confirm. We had a nice rioja that had been in the bottle for over two years, which added to the impression that they don't get a great deal of visitors.
The menu is standard curry house base sauce + meat/vegetable choice, with a few fish and prawn dishes too. There is a good choice of sides, and the food was well presented. The food is reasonably priced; we had two veggie mains, three sides, two rices and a nan bread, plus two bottles of wine (!) for under £70. We also got a Bailey's each on the house.

Favourite Indian restaurant of all times, have been coming here for over 20 years and never been dissapointed! My niece brought us a taste card which we were able to use here, brilliant! XX

I have been using this restaurant for over 15 years now and can attest that I have never had a bad experience; either in the quality of the food or the service. Unlike many other similar establishments, the curry sauce does not resemble the contents of an oil tanker that has run aground.

Love this restaurant! Been coming here since 1978. Use it regularly as both eat-in and take-away. Great food, great staff, great value!
