Enjoyed the food, since I can’t have dairy or wheat and they didn’t have any Tamari sauce I was limited in what I could order (I started eating before taking pictures). However the waitress was helpful and we found some dishes, the food was delicious. I liked that the staff were still wearing masks . Will go back again

Traditional Chinese restaurant. Staff were very attentive, crispy duck was great. Usual huge range of dishes, set menus offer some savings.

Excellent food and lovely friendly staff! Will definitely be visiting again!

Incredible Chinese and absolutely lovely owners. Couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough. I'm sorry my phone doesn't do these food snaps justice. Please go to this restaurant and thank me later. There's a reason it's been open for 26 years.

Having just moved into the area, i have found a brilliant barbers, a wide range stocked corner shop and being a big fan of Chinese food i was delighted to find this restaurant almost on my doorstep. It is quite simply fantastic - the food is great, the staff very nice & polite and it has excellent hygiene. Would recommend very highly to visitors who maybe walking the Shad Thames/River area.

The staff was very friendly. The food tasted delicious. And the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Would go here again

Tucked away but great food choice, quality and value for money

Absolutely wonderful! Incredibly friendly staff, soothing and culturally rich atmosphere, and appetising food. We are now much more open-minded about Chinese and Cantonese food!

Good food! Fast service. The place is usually pretty busy!

Went for an evening meal after a long day walking in London. This was convenient as close to our hotel and I am pleased to report we weren't disappointed. We were seated promptly at a table and were immediately asked if we would like a drink. The server was very attentive as it wasn't the busiest evening. The menu itself is very extensive, with set meals as well as a la carte. We opted for a la carte. Our starters were Wonton soup(9/10), Prawns on toast(9/10), salt & pepper squid(10/10) and salt & pepper ribs(9/10). Starters were very tasty. and good portions. After this our mains arrived, 1 portion of egg fried rice(one is enough for two people), squid in black bean sauce(10/10), Chicken curry(10/10) the chicken was very tender and the sauce was delicious. Also had a portion of noodles with tiger prawns(09/10). All in all a very good meal and this restaurant is a little gem. Definitely be back.

Great Chinese restaurant! I tried a variety of dishes in this restaurant, and can not fault any one of them. My favourite probably being crispy duck, it is truly decilicious!
The place itself is nice and tidy, waiters friendly and helpful, and prices of course are very reasonable. Would happily recommend this place to sit it for dinner and for take away!

Very impressed, delicious food and very friendly, helpful staff.
We had the Special Set Menu A for two people and were incredibly impressed with the quality of the food and how much you get for such a reasonable price! Considering the location I would have expected a much higher cost.
The crispy duck pancakes were one of the nicest I'd ever had and they shred the duck at your table which was a nice touch.
Would definitely come again if visiting London.
Note to the restaurant: I was not able to access the menu through your website and had to find an outdated guest photo on another site, perhaps you might update this.

Fantastic and fresh food! Many Tofu and vegetarian dishes. Also really nice staff.
Would recommend :)

Great food not too many people so covid friendly

My first visit to Hing Lee - I was craving a traditional Chinese restaurant to enjoy the 'Eat Out to Help Out' scheme and this place proved perfect. Amazing food, everything was freshly made, great service and very affordable even without the scheme. A little hidden gem in beautiful Shad Thames.
Not sure what's wrong with their website, something seems wrong with the menu.
They've won a new customer, I'll be returning.
Thanks to everyone at Hing Lee for such a lovely evening.

Very friendly & welcoming, the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Had a lovely evening here

Excellent service - delicious food. We used takeaway service for Chicken noodles beef noodles and beenspout noodles. Good portion sizes and very reasonable. Will definitely return next time we are in the area!

Very nice, clean and peaceful environment to dine. Prices were also ok and a big selection in the menu to choose from. Service was also quite fast. Some of the sauces should have been more solid rather than watery but good quality food and well cooked overall. I would definitely come back as I am a big fan of chinese food (actually it’s my favourite) 😋👘🦆🦐🎋🍍🍤🥠🥟🍚🍶🍵🥡🥢🏯🈵🈯️🈶🎴🀄️🇨🇳

Awesome Chinese restaurant...the takeaway was great
V. L.
An abundant array of Cantonese dishes which tasted authentic (as far as my uneducated palate is concerned). Service was quick, the portions were good and the bill relatively small. Would definitely visit again.

It is a secret gem, just liked the food and the desserts too

A real throwback to the 90s !! This place serves incredibly tasty food in a totally relaxed atmosphere, and is fantastic value for money. The staff are very attentive and make you feel extremely welcome. A "must try" if you are in the Tower Bridge area and fancy a tasty Chinese meal !!

Had some fried rice with shrimp. Thought it would be better but for the price it was ok.
Sadly we can only pay with card if it's more than 10£, which is weird because the overall price was 8£...

I have been eating for years here. Really good food. Nice flavour and combinations.
Food is served really quick and the standards are very consistent. Best Chinese food in the area.

Usually very good but seemed to be in a rush this particular evening. The plates were being removed before we were finished and courses were arriving whilst we were still on the starters. Turns out they were getting ready for a big family Christmas dinner... Ho ho ho 🤭🤭😳

Place I go to when at work, the lunch menu is cheap and the quality of food is great! We always go for a little sneaky Chinese for lunch! They are also efficient and you don't have to wait long for a meal! Love me some hing Lee!
B. P.
Good was good. We ordered too much. Initial service was a bit slow, but when the food came out was fast and hot

Amazing Chinese in the Shad Thames area with a lovely atmosphere and even better food! Just waiting for Covid to pass so we can return!

Great little local place. Old school Chinese, can be a bit hit and miss with some dishes but have found a few favourites and go regularly.
G. M.
Nice Chinese restaurant near Tower Bridge. Good food and service and reasonable prices. However, they don't keep the place warm enough, so avoid if that's a problem for you. Otherwise, it's fine.
J. B.
Went here with a group. Well organized and good service. Cheap lunch option. The food range is extensive. The food was good .
S. A.
Great food (tasty and big portions). correct and quick service (could've been a bit more friendly) but definitely appealing
S. H.
Nice friendly local Chinese-most of the food on the menu is good-although I found the roast Peking duck to be too dry-shame as if they got that right I would be a regular.
R. K.
Good chinese food at decent prices especially conssidering location. Highly enjoyed the ambience and service as well as the delicious food. Will go back again :-)
J. S.
Had a great meal here recently - the set menu was very good value and the food was really tasty. I would definitely recommend going.

i used to work just down the road from the restaurant and went some times in for lunch. The menu is OK. Nothing to fancy or weird. If you fancy a Chinese meal while being close to tower bridge that would be a place to go to.
A. P.
Great place. The ambiance is particularly lovely for a casual but romantic experience with your loved one.
S. S.
Decent quality food and good range of options on the menu. Quiet, peaceful atmosphere and friendly staff.
S. W. M.
Good food, good value. Now my local for nights I fancy Chinese and don't have time to cook
L. W.
The lunch menu offers a small starter and healthy-sized main for only £6.10. Hot, quick and decent quality.

Cool place to eat Chinese food, both take away or eating in. Prices are quite fair, maybe a bit expensive but they are in a popular area. I like the fried rice and the noodles

Lovely little place, very quiet. Food was amazing.
D. K.
Best local Chinese restaurant in London, be careful when visiting, it seriously raises the bar and is likely to ruin your experiences elsewhere.
C. F.

Really good food and service (I’m Chinese) - also life saver for closing much later than the local places around!

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. They do not understand how to make Kung Pao chicken though. Their "Kung Po" is basically sweet and sour sauce with a few cashews and Chiles thrown in. Their beef with broccoli, however, is on point! The best part is how quiet and relaxing the dining room is. So hard to find in London!

Traditional Chinese restaurant nearby Tower Bridge. Good Service. Mid price 17 GBP for spring rolls, Szechuan beef, steamed rice and Diet Coke.
