Extremely friendly staff, delicious Persian stews that come with rice and a side salad! Certainly more value than a sandwich or an avocado toast that you could get elsewhere, for essentially the same price!

Lovely Café with delicious breakfast and lunch options. Selling the classic Persian dishes as well as variety of other dishes. Excellent place for brunch. They have indoor and outdoor sitting. Very friendly staff. And best of, it's a family run restaurant.

The food here is delicious but the guy that works there - not sure if the owner - is always super moody and rude to everybody. They also take very long time to even take your order and then bring it to the table. It’s a shame the service is so bad and one of the guys there always super rude. We went to I Due Amici twice: breakfast take away in lockdown and lunch take away after lockdown. For breakfast, we had 1/ the avocado toast with smoked salmon and poached egg, 2/ the avo toast with bacon with poached egg. The portions were generous, lots of salmon and bacon. One egg was poached, mine was too cooked (hard boiled). For lunch, we tried the chicken stew with lentils (according to menu). It comes with a side salad and saffron rice. The chicken was very tender and tasted really good, rice was very good too. Unfortunately, there was no stew or lentil or anything else in the stew. The chicken was simmered in a very clear broth / oil, and that was the extent of the "stew". It is far from a Persian stew. I would call it a stewed chicken maybe? It tasted good but it was not what we expected and we were disappointed. If I had been in the restaurant when we opened the box, I would have asked if they had forgotten to put something in the stew.

Fast service and fresh ingredients, the menu includes both classic english breakfast/brunch and classic persian dishes, but also sandwiches and salads, coffee and smoothies. The guys were kind and friendly, the space is bright and big. Just lovely!

Just had an enjoyable brunch in the courtyard outside, nice juices and smoothies on a relaxing sunny day. Prices pretty reasonable. The garden is lovely but the inside a bit spartan, needs some more thought to give it a bit of character.

Standard full English was good value at £5.50ish but I was disappointed with the veggie version included no veggie sausages but one very sad hash brown. There were a few customers in but no real atmosphere - would have benefitted from friendly staff welcome and perhaps some background music. I'd say decent enough for a cheapish breakfast or coffee/cake but you can probably find somewhere nicer.

I Due Amici is amazing ! I’ve been here in london for 1 year and this is my favourite place! The staff is lovely ! They make me feel at home every single time! My boyfriend and me used to go very often but unfortunately we had to move further :( now we try to go every day off together that we can! The food is incredible and about price it is very cheap (today we had 5 plates for just 34 pounds) for the quality they offer its very cheap thats why we always give them tips ! The service is great! They always recommend good plates and they have few persian plates selection that im very impressed! Good vibes, smily staff and friendly plus a beautiful garden that will make you feel happy if you decide to have a breakfast or lunch. I never write reviews but they really deserve ! You got a fan! I love you guys ! Thank you for make us feel happy ! A food lover couple!

If you are in Kennington on a Saturday or Sunday morning this is well worth a visit. Friendly welcome, made to order food and great coffee. They are paerfectly heppy for you to sit all morning reading your paper. In the summer there is a wonderful courtyard outside which is warm, spacious and leafy. Try the smoothies.

Whenever I want to experience a new area –I am curently looking for a flat in Kennington- I go where the locals go. In Italian, “I due amici” means “the two friends” and the name fits the place: it is welcoming, friendly and the coffee is great. You can sit by the window and enjoy time passing by or be online like I was sifting through the estate agencies’ offers. This is a great little place, no hassle, smiling staff and very affordable. What more do you want?

Far and away my favourite coffee shop in Kennington for several reasons. It is owned by a lovely family, and their chicken noodle soup has cured me of a cold on more than one occasion. The service is fantastic, the owners are lovely and always make me feel welcome. They have the glorious little garden courtyard out the back which is perfect to while away a sunny Sunday morning. There is no pretension here, just nice food, happy service and decent prices. It's actually where I decided to move to the area 2 years ago and I now can't imagine Kennington without this gem.
