Reviews of Imad’s Syrian Kitchen

Didn't feel it here. Tables are too small when you get 3 or 4 plates. Baked cauliflower was gorgeous but everything else we had was okay & a bit pricey for what you got. Staff friendly. It is clearly a popular place and was busy...but just not for us.
R. L.
An amazing lunch in London ! Nice spot, amazing staff! Our glasses were always full of water and they really cared that everything was perfect . The food was amazing ! Portions could be bigger but we got so much stuff and we were full and satisfied . Will definitely come back! Recommend trying it 🌟
C. L.
The food was brilliant! They managed to squeeze us in despite the restaurant being packed. Also there are a lot of dishes suitable for different dietary requirements (gluten free, nut free, vegetarian). I'd definitely recommend trying it out!

The amazing and inspiring journey of Imad continues. You can see and feel his passion for food and bringing people together here.
Really good starters and dishes, lovely staff in a cosy, bustling space.
I can't speak highly enough of the experience, would highly recommend it to anyone.

Location is great at the heart of Soho inside the Kingly court. Service is good and staff is friendly. Hummus was amazing, Falafel were also great. Fattouch is not really the original recipe but is a very good variation. Chiche Taouk was very tender, nicely seasoned with some delicious potatoes in the side. Things I didn’t like: the 12.5% service charge at the end, and having to pay for an extra pita bread. Also, but this is not the restaurant’s fault, there was a very VERY loud table that was pretty annoying for the rest of the clients.

Had a fantastic lunch here, every dish we tried was delicious. If I had to choose, the highlight would be the pistachio Syrian ice cream.
The service was great as well (thanks for looking after us, Maria!)
Booking is highly recommended.

We visited Imad’s for lunch.
We had the falafel, muhamara, shish tawook, Fattet Macdoos and Za’atar Salad.
We found the food to be generally pleasant but the portions quite small. The flavours were solid but not exceptional and for us the salad was quite disappointing as it literally had 3 halloumi noodles.
Generally a good lunch spot.

Stunning food and service!!!
Five stars upwards and onwards…
As a Middle Eastern family living in the UK we have failed to find good food that can represent our region and flavours, we have tried almost every recommended restaurant we could and all came with disappointment, until we found IMAD’S kitchen.
This is the real authentic restaurant.. the flavours will give a nostalgic taste that will take you back home from the first bite.
If you love our Middle Eastern food, please don’t waste your time and money at other places and do make a detour and visit Imad’s kitchen for the authentic experience..
The Flafel, Hummous, Muhammara, Sheesh tawook, ice cream, baklava and coffee are just remarkable….
Best Middle Eastern restaurant in The United Kingdom..
It is spotless clean even that it is crowded and full.. very good size portions /like just enough/..& most importantly amazing service.. very friendly and welcoming…
Please keep up the great work 🙏🙏…

Came here for dinner tonight with friends and it was a great dining experience!
Servers were really attentive and checked in often to make sure we had what we need/get more drinks, food was tasty (the lamb skewer dish was our absolute favourite) and we tried the pistachio and candy floss ice cream which was really interesting!
Would recommend.

Lovely experience at Imad's. I didn't have a reservation, but the nice maitre'd found me a decent table. Hummus was pretty good, and came with a warm pita. Kebab Hindi was great, though a bit spicy. One minor nit is that the lamb meatballs could have been more tender. For dessert I had the Syrian pistachio ice cream. The candyfloss on top was a nice touch. Service was very quick, and the servers friendly.
P. G.
Syrian restaurant located at top floor in kingly court, cuisine is similar to Lebanese cuisine, portion sizes were a little small compared to the prices, we ordered around 4-5 starters between two, breads were extra, gets a bit busy during lunch times, not sure if they take bookings. Pistachio ice cream was the best we had, with candy floss.

Imad’s Syrian kitchen includes a variety of flavoursome food and excellent customer service -which ‘topped up’ my positive experience. The waiters and owner welcomed us with a bright smile and successfully created such a friendly and homey atmosphere for us.
The restaurant is known for their outstanding take on the ‘Baba ghanoj’ -which contained a smokey taste with an appetising drizzle of tahini and pomegranate molasses.
The starters ,main course and dessert all looked attractive and included a tasteful and moreish taste. The flavours where a definite success in showing the Syrian food culture.
In summery, I recommend this restaurant for anyone who desires to expand their taste buds on Syrian food.
M. N.
Food tasted good, surprisingly filling, service was good too.
Lamb fillet is recommended although the chicken thighs had flavour, it was slightly on the dry side.

Had dinner on a Friday night. Though the restaurant was busy (expected on a Friday night), the staff were very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and service was excellent. A must visit. Prior booking recommended especially during weekends.
R. E.
Very tasty vegetable and meat dishes in small plates. Each dish has different taste profile which is quite a palate discovery. The baklawa was the best I ever had and the Syrian Ice cream was just sensational. We were enjoying the food so much we overstayed our allocated 2 hour table slot. I will definitely go back to this place!
D.
Went here with our parents who were craving falafel - needless to say the falafel as well as the rest of the food did not disappoint! Also, you must try the roasted cauliflower - absolutely superb. I think I will be starting to explore Middle Eastern cuisine more!
The restaurant has amazing vegan options. The staff is friendly, very attentive and quick! Will definitely come back.
Y. A.
If I could give this place 10 stars I would, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. The restaurant got a bit busy (expectedly on a Friday night) but the staff were very attentive. Highly recommend the cauliflower, fatet macdous, baba ghanoush, Kebab Hindi AND DEFINITELY THE SYRIAN ICE CREAM YUM. Can’t wait to go back 😍😍😍😍
W. H.
Loved the ambiance and the atmosphere. Food was delicious. Sort of like tapas that are unique. I still can't figure out how you can string halloumi. Very delicious and the staff were super nice and lovely and helpful.
M. E. G.
Read about since place in Timeout and been eager to try it since; and it did not disppoint.
Mixing levantine flavours and spices with a hint of western fusion, food was ridiculously good.
Chef Imad himself visited our table to get our feedback on 2 new menu items and he was very nice.
We had hummus, fattet macdous, freekeh salad, muhammara, and the cauliflower, and not a single dish disappointed.
Place is perfect for sharing though reservations are highly recommended as it was packed when we went.
Most of the options are vegan with a few meaty mains.
It’s a little bit overpriced but definitely worth it!
Z. H.
We didn’t book in advance on a Wed and even though the place was empty when I got there and they still spent ages deliberating what table to give me. They stuck us in a corner that was really hard to get into. They told us we could stay till 8 but got us to leave at 7.30.
In terms of food the Shiah Taouk which was super tasty and falafel and hummus which was good as well. We got one of the mincemeat dishes (can’t recall what it was called) and neither of us finished it so it wasn’t great.
Overall a bit pricey and shoehorned us in.
A. S.
Incredible food, amazing service and a lovely atmosphere! The best falafel and the best hummus I have ever had. The pistachio Syrian ice-cream with candy floss is absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!
M. B.
Food was excellent, quality and flavourful. Similar to Lebanese and hands down best falafel I've ever had! Staff were attentive and professional. Would definitely recommend, and hope to go back soon.
A. C.
Absolutely lovely food, have been looking forward to visiting this restaurant after seeing it on social media. Did not disappoint! Service was efficient and super friendly. The lamb and chicken dishes were lovely as was the roasted cauliflower. The pistachio ice cream with Candy-floss was very nice too. Will definitely visit again and recommend to friends.
O. A. N.
Emad was absolutely the star of the show, welcoming, friendly and easy to approach. The food was great to say the least , each and every plate had its own person touch, the Syrian ice cream remains one of my favourite desserts, highly recommended it
l. a.
Delicious food nice people❤️ The meze’s were very deeply flavored. Staff were very nice. I love Kingly Court anyways so central
yet cozy.
E. S.
We stopped for lunch and had an Extraordinary and delicious meal. I've been in London for week. By far this has been the best restaurant and I highly recommend you stop.
L. L.
Food was not impressive here, but the service was very friendly. We ordered Mtafayt Bamyeh (okra), Falafel, Jaj Barghol (grilled chicken thigh & bulgur wheat), Fattet Macdous (Minced lamb, baby aubergine, tahini, cumin seeds, crispy flatbread), Sharihat Ghanam (Lamb fillet, sun dried tomatoes, pitta bread) and a pita bread. The best dish out of all was Fattet Macdous - nice balance of flavour, good seasoning and combination of ingredients. Second best was Sharihat Ghanam - the lamb fillet was tender and it went well with the chilli sauce & small side salad.
The most disappointing dishes were the okra and falafel - both flavour and texture were not done right. The okras were grilled, making them extremely hard to chew due to the fibrous nature of the veg. (perhaps blanching the okras before grilling them would improve the texture?) They were served with labneh which I personally think did not go well together. Just an odd plate of food.
The falafels were the crispiest I've ever had but they were almost too crunchy? There were barely any soft/fluffy centres in these falafels (I guess this was done intentionally but just not how I like my falafels). On top of the extremely crunchy texture, they were pretty flavourless - a failed dish to me.
As I've been spoiled with good pita bread from lots of Greek/Mediterranean restaurants, their pita bread was mediocre compared to the others I've had. The flavour was so-so and it was on the dry side.
Another slightly disappointing dish was the Jaj Barghol. The grilled chicken thighs were on the dry side, which was surprising for this cut of the chicken. Flavour of the chicken were not noticeable and didn't seem to go well with the very tomatoey and onion-rich bulgur wheat.
On the plus side, their service was super attentive and friendly. The serving speed was okay - our food arrived around 20-25 after we ordered. The dinning environment was clean and not overly compacted. However, I don't think I'll be revisiting this restaurant simply because the food did not live up to my standards of eating out.
J. D.
The food was well made, presented beautifully, portion sizes were just perfect for sharing, we ate almost all the starters between 3 of us as they were mostly Or all vegetarian! So refreshing! The ambience was lovely, great music and elegance to the place. All the staff were genuinely friendly and our waiter Luca made a real effort too!
W.
Lovely restaurant and dishes carefully flavoured and put together. Lamb was delicious as was the fairy floss pistachio dessert. Love the back story to the restaurant as well.
L. S.
Amazing place, had dinner there on Friday night and it was really good. Syrian kitchen with modern touch and tapas style dishes. Tried the falafel, hummus, watermelon salad, baba ganosh, okra with yogurt and fatet makdous and all dishes were absolutely delicious. Staff was so nice and customer service was amazing. The owner himself was serving the table which we found very nice as it shows you how passionate he is about his food and restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.
N. V.
Lovely restaurant with a warm and positive feel- the story behind it’s inception is a beautiful one too. The food was nice, the chicken thighs was melt in the mouth. The chicken strips were good but not as tasty as the thigh. Starters were tasty but the Syrian ice cream with the shredded candy floss was out of this world. I’d go back to eat a three course meal solely made up of the ice cream.
K. L.
Truly delightful food, service and ambience. Completely exceeded my expectations and will definitely be returning regularly!
Recommend the Za'atar salad and basically everything on the menu.
m. s.
Lovely place. Good food. The shish tawook was so tender and juicy, one of the best chicken strips had. Pistachio Syrian ice cream is a must try, is creamy and not over loaded with sugar. Plates are small, but rates are reasonable. Great hosts, always ready to help and suggest. One of the better places in London to try.
J. C.
Love love love! I’ve been a fan of Imad’s cooking since the falafel wrap pop up in Soho where he did so much for helping refugees and I’ve been so excited to try his restaurant. The colours were so exciting, the flavours interesting and the vibe really welcoming. We’ll definitely be back. Congrats Imad!
H. J.
Superb dining experience. We were promptly seated after being shown our seats. Out host very kindly 🙏 - when asked - if we could have another table that was free and further from the one we had down did make the amendment so effortlessly.
The food was really fresh I had the chicken thigh with the bulgur wheat. It was tangy - and the meat was rather succulent. Big smiles and I'll be back till taste more of this incredible sounding place. Also happened to bump to the owner who is so lovely and was talking to all the guests.
A homely food place so shall certainly have to return to sample the rest of the offerings...
Go visit Imad's!

one of my fave spots in london
friendly and accommodating
had a window seat in the sunshine
the food was delicious
can’t wait to go back soon

Great food and friendly staff . They have several vegan options as well . Highly recommended.

As of one of my last night in London I decided to come in this famous restaurant for a healthy dinner. I tasted the best falafel in the world and a stunning baba ganoj.
The environment is cozy and I felt like at home for the whole time there. Staff members are always smiling and got me a very positive vibes!
Unfortunately Imad, the owner, was not at the restaurant, I heard many good things about him and I really hope to come back in the future to meet him.
The chef and the back of house staff were very busy, however they taken a quickly break at the end of the shift for a picture together.
I want to say thank you for this incredible experience that I will never forget.
With love and respect
Luca

incredible food and the staff were fantastic. friendly, fun vibes. can't wait to go again.

Wonderful place to eat, nice simple menu, well executed and a friendly and relaxed vibe. The lamb with spicy tomato sauce and pine nuts a particular favourite at the table, as was the pistachio ice cream with candy floss. A real gem on the top floor at Kingly Court off Carnaby St. Well worth a visit.
S. W.
Very cosy restaurant with lovely food! The staff were lovely and as I was eating by myself Imad even offered to sit with me if I got bored and wanted company. Such a lovely person!
C. C.
What a brilliant experience. Imad is a truly genuine, honest, friendly and skilled man. We thoroughly enjoyed our supper club evening here, food was excellent, interesting and generous portions. Atmosphere friendly and fun. Drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. Staff attentive and efficient.
Look forward to returning and recommending.

When you fancy a small sharing Syrian meal with your friends, this place will not disappoint. The food are delightful. Friendly service.

The most genuine and authentic dining experience. All of our dishes were delicious and the flavors matched perfectly. Imad has an incredible bright energy and that shines through in the whole experience. Can’t wait to return and to use him for catering soon !

Amazing experience. Delicious Syrian food... the hummus, falafel, salads... all delicious. Nice chilled out vibe. Great service.

Went for a friend's birthday with a large group. The food was amazing if you enjoy flavoured mouth-watering food. Every dish was delicious and the service even for a large group was great. We also had the pleasure meeting with the owner and chef Imad what a wonderful man and can't wait to come back. Thank you all.

My friend and I had such a lovely time here yesterday evening. The food came swiftly and everything was delicious! It was particularly lovely to see Maria again, she served me last year when I came and remembered me after all that time! Always a pleasure to come to Imad’s :)
R. M.
Some of the best hummus I have ever had. Lamb and falafel were excellent too. It is tapas style dining with sharing of multiple plates encouraged. Great for a couple or small group.
S. M. M. H.
I give this place a proper 5 stars, the food was so good, the staff were helpful and friendly and my experience was absolutely amazing. I wish it was less crowded and we had the time to stay more. It's expensive but the quality is also marvelous.
We tried the table share which brings many small plats for sharing, the baba ghanoush is absolutely amazing, the falafel is the best in London, the potato and chicken were so flavorful, the meat balls were a little dry but also flavorful. I can't recommend it enough
J. H.
This man will be a top chef in London, in a flash. Everything was beyond fantastic. I forgot to take a photo of the Lamb Shoulder because I was so happy to eat this food that I ate it and it slipped my mind. Beautiful wines, too. Classy service. Lift access! What more could you want?
I look forward to a tasting menu and Syrian music. A Cook book for Christmas release is feasible. A Star is Born!!
O. G.
It's a Michelin star restaurant where you'll have a good time and eat some very distinctive food. We booked ahead of time, the welcome is nice, the restaurant is on the top floor in Kingly Court (just off Carnaby Street) but we had an OK table. The atmosphere was good, the service was excellent and the food was really good, lots of options for meat and vegetarian lovers and the price was reasonable too. Food comes out in small plates, probably pick 4-6 for a meal and thats all you need to share for two people. Would definitely go back!
M.
Delicious authentic food! So many veggie and vegan options as well! Well balanced menu, great flavours and simply delicious food! Great speedy service, beautiful interior and overall great ambiance! Definitely recommended
T. F.
First time I ever had Syrian food and it was delicious. The staff is super friendly and they offer several vegan options.
A. C.
I have seriously fallen in love with Imad’s Kitchen; the food here is everything I adore, the Levant at its best! The staff are charming, the service is perfect, the decor lovely. The whole experience is so authentic and the food is simply delicious. I’ve eaten all over the Middle East, and at many many similar restaurants in the UK - this is the best!!Thank you
R. K.
Amazing experience! Imad is so kind and offer us a table even though we were too early for our reservation. The food was divine! Food was flavorful and the pita bread was so fluffy.
A. B.
Very nice food and atmosphere, unfortunately service lets it down! Waitress wasn't helpful!
A. U.
Imad's have now shifted to a great location on the top floor of Kingly Court. The food was a great modern, delicious take and absolutely loved the Falafel and Za'atar Salad. The staff are ever so friendly and helpful. Top tips: about 5 dishes feed 2 people well (plus a cheeky Syrian Ice Cream to go) and don't forget to ask for the special teas
S. F.
Excellent food! Produce are fresh and nice atmosphere.
However there is only one bread with the mezze. It is really little.
You need to order more. Usually you get more included in other places. Despite that I highly recommend
P. P.
Incredibly welcoming, the staff are great, the food is fantastic, fresh tasty, plenty of choice, great options to drink too. All in all a great place to eat and enjoy time. The owner is a joy too.
J.
Came here last night after finding their page on Instagram, this place is amazing!
The food was great, service was so friendly, and prices for the dishes are very affordable! Great variety of options for vegetarians as well!
Make sure to try the Muhammara, Salad with Halloumi and Hummus, followed by the ice cream with candy floss! Definitely do not skip the Muhammara, I’m going to be back for that one!
A. R.
Although the meatballs and baba ghanush were okayish, the lamb meat/fillet and baklava were *amazing*.
There aren't many places where I've enjoyed meat as here, so it's definitely becoming a recommended place for me.
The service was impeccable, friendly, thanks a lot.
Maybe the only con is the portion size being smaller than regular, I guess. We've ended up ordering more, but enjoyed every bit of it.
* the place was recommended by my friend, and it was worth trying. If not for her, I don't think we would enter the courtyard and notice this place upstairs.
J. F. R. P.
One of my favourites places in London. Excellent food quality, friendly service and reasonable prices. The food is delicious, highly recommended. Recommend that you book in advance, they tend to be very busy.
J. E.
Delicious, fresh, innovative food from Imad. The Falafel are just so scrummy. Halloumi noodles, who knew? Red pepper dip, refreshing and moreish. Followed by Chicken with bulgar wheat, and lamb fillet, cooked to perfection. Tender baked cauliflower with warming spices. The ice cream with fluffy pistachio candy floss is just the best dessert ever. Find his humbling story on Instagram Imad's Syrian Kitchen.
e. s.
Great place, the food was great and the best service ever, luca service was amazing.
I ordered fattet makdous and zaatar salad.
Will definitely come back again.
S. A.
Cannot fault this place at all. The service was perfect, the staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was absolutely fantastic and so very tasty. Will definitely go back when next in the area. Completely spot on 👍
J. T.
Tonight we decided to sit down for a meal at Imad Syrian Kitchen and I must say, it was probably my best decision of the day. The food was incredible, and each dish provided a culinary delight that kept me reaching for more. Even though we may have ordered a bit too much, every plate was devoured and it is safe to say that we ended our evening beyond satisfied. To anyone who may be reading this, a trip to Imad is definitely worth it, even if just to try their take on Polo’s, a Syrian drink that they absolutely killed. Our server Luca was not only attentive and positive the entire evening, but he altogether added to our great experience at this restaurant. I definitely recommend you make the journey to Imad on your next free date night or family dinner.
H. K.
We’ve been there for brunch, the food was delicious, a real Syrian taste served in a stylish way.
The staff were very kind and helpful, and they do their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable.
We’ve ordered
- Falafel
- Hummus
- Baba ghanuj
- Kushkeh khadrah
- Shish tawook
All of them were delicious and highly recommended.
s.
Honestly, one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time. All the food was on point, the staff were funny and friendly, and it was generally just great vibes.
D. G.
Loved the meal. Order 3-4 dishes and share so you try more. Dessert of the pistachio candyfloss is sweet.
C. B.
Great food, really friendly and smooth service. Gorgeous setting and atmosphere. I was really happy with the experience and will definitely be returning.
J. C.
Fantastic food and service! Keep it up!
S. M.
One of the best Syrian food I have ever had in the city. Luca who served us the food was super friendly and helpful. Nice eating experience in SOHO.
R. S.
Incredible food. My guest said it was as good as his mothers (who was from Aleppo) . Good pricing and excellent service.
B. N.
This is my new favourite London restaurant. The food is sublime and very veggie friendly. The atmosphere and the decor is incredible and cosy and the service is second to none. Imad himself is always around and is the most welcoming and friendly host, always checking up on everyone to ensure they are enjoying their food. I'm recommending this place to everyone I know in London and all visitors
A. K.
I would advise to get at least a couple of dishes for each person. The quality of the dishes we tried were great. We were just a walk in and were very lucky to be found a table. The prices seem quite expensive for the portion sizes but considering how busy the place is then it must be on point. What I really liked was that when Imad finished his shift he thanked all of the customers for visiting him and gave full respect to all of his staff. 6 out of 5 for any boss that takes the time from their day to appreciate everyone.
T. A.
Exceptional food with friendly service. Lovely settings with an open kitchen so you can see the food being prepared. All the food was halal and would come back in a heartbeat for the Shish Tawook and the sumptuous Sharihat Ghanam.
M. J.
An excellent meal. We went for my wife's birthday lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Very reasonably priced. Couldn't fault the experience at all. Will definitely be back next time we're in London!
F. G.
A friend introduced us to this restaurant as one of her very favourite places to eat and my husband and I totally agree. The food was absolutely perfect. Delicious sharing plates of freshly prepared ingredients and an excellent choice of starters and mains. The service was superb. Attentive without being obstructive. Can't wait to eat here again.
O. M.
Very good food! Pistachio ice cream was especially on point.
P. W.
I think this is legitimately one of the best meals I've had in London. Every dish we had was spot on! 😍
S. F.
The food was amazing, there was such a home feel to it, like if your mother made it. The waiters were polite but fun and overall there was such a nice happy atmosphere! Needless to say to meet Imad there was the highlight of the evening. Highly recommended!!!!
E.
What a lovely restaurant! The staff were so welcoming, friendly and attentive and the food, my goodness, where to start! Everything was absolutely delicious! From the hummus, to the roasted cauliflower and everything we ordered in between, it was all just impeccable. I cannot recommend Imad’s enough! If you do one thing whilst you’re in central London, go and eat here!
H. W.
Strongly recommend!
The food was absolutely to die for. The menu was nostalgic and authentic served up with a slight modern twist. Presentation is a 10/10 and the staff are some of the nicest that I have ever encountered.
Looking forward to coming back. And I'm FINALLY happy to have a Syrian restaurant that I can proudly recommend to my friends.
Make sure to try the Lamb! Its my favourite meat and I like to try it in most restaurants at least once. This lamb makes it to the top of my list without a doubt.
Will certainly be coming back!
w. E.
Food was fantastic , I could eat there every day , very friendly , you have to go if in London #😋
N. A.
Lovely food. So tasty and well presented. Very quick service too!
L. M.
Stunning food and service couldn't recommend Imad's Syrian Kitchen enough and can't wait to go back again
K. M.
Disappointed! The chicken dish we ordered came one piece of chicken short. Food is good but overall unimpressed.
L. K.
Amazing. The most delicious food. The service is also brilliant. Perfect for vegans and veggies too
Y. M.
Such a lovely experience. Food was delicious - had probably the best Falafel here. Staff and owners were very friendly and welcoming.
D. C.
Imad’s Syrian Kitchen provided us with a delicious meal and a welcoming service.
We had hummus, falafel and the yogurt soaked buckwheat. Everything accompanied by their homemade pita bread. All delicious. To follow we had the chicken thigh and barley and the baby aubergine with minced lamb and pomegranate. All the food was great. We managed to a brief chat with Imad and he’s a lovely man! We will be back! As for the service the waiter Luca was impeccable suggesting us what and how much food to order in order to be able to share everything. Thank you!
L. S.
Such a lovely restaurant. Located on the top floor of kingly court. Our waiter was so kind and friendly and Imad himself was also a delight. The food was delicious and well presented. My favourite was the aubergine dish and the falafel! Great flavours! I would highly recommend everyone visit!
A. W.
Top notch Arabic food. I lived in the Middle East for 2 years but this is the best I've tried. Fabulous flavours, very satisfying and delicious. Service was excellent and I couldn't believe how little we paid for such a wonderful feast.
L. G.
Lovely ambience. Clean, open and light. The food is very good and not over engineered. I'd recommend for a lazy brunch or share dishes style evening dinner with friends or family. Be warned: the after taste of the chili sauce is deceptively hot, but very flavorsome
b. m.
Delicious, Imad regularly came to tell us about the food we were eating and it’s origins - even though the restaurant was busy.
Would highly recommend, excellent for a sociable catch up with friends and sharing food. Would recommend 5 dishes between 2 people getting a broad selection.
Can’t wait to come again. Find it very hard to think someone managed to give this place a 1 star review, it was excellent.
Staff were also friendly and helpful.
A must go to spot for London
P. G.
Brilliant food and atmosphere. Do some research in to the story of the place to make even more special.

Had a beautiful meal for four people here. All the food was such high quality and full of flavour. I have eaten twice at Imad's and cannot wait to go back, such fresh, tasty food with a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Imad is a wonderful presence as well, so welcoming and warm.
A. R.
Everything was eye-wateringly delicious. I wanted the food to go on forever. We ordered five small plates between two, including hummus, okra with labneh, baba ghanouj and the watermelon and halloumi salad. Imad visited every table to recommend dishes and talk about the food. His passion is wonderful. Lovely, light airy space, on the top floor of Kingly Court (away from a lot of the noise!). A wonderful experience.

We visited for an early Sunday lunch. The restaurant was not too busy. It is a nice location, that I had visited in the former guise of Darjeeling Express. This was our first taste of Syrian food, but looking at the menu selections, there seemed to be significant overlap with Lebanese cuisine. The two of us plus toddler ordered the hummus, falafel, okra, za’atar salad, shish tawook, chicken thighs, lamb stuffed aubergine and the lamb kebabs. It sounds like a lot of food, but the portion sizes are quite small, and we did finish it all. We also tried the Syrian ice cream and baklava for dessert. We enjoyed the food and it was nice to see some variations on what are usually very standardised dishes you’d find in Lebanese restaurants, coupled with a few dishes that we hadn’t come across before. An unexpected surprise was the house red wine as well as the dessert wine that I tried, both of which were excellent.
Service was quite good, our waiter seemed a bit unexperienced, but was very attentive and we had no issues throughout our meal. The bill came to £123, of which £28 was spent on drinks. Reasonable for this part of town. Having read the fascinating back story about Imad, I was very curious to try out his restaurant, and I’m happy to report that the food did not disappoint!

Incredible food and service! It was lovely to meet Imad, will definitely be returning
C. O. N.
Our lunch was absolutely delicious today, everything we ate was beautifully presented and uniquely flavoured.
The restaurant is lovely and Imad’s team are very charming.
There is only one thing that I would recommend - please make the Halloumi noodle salad big enough to share, it’s delicious and it’s a great way to start a meal.
M. P.
Beautiful, authentic Syrian food. Fantastic, friendly and delightful speedy service!
J. F.
I tried the hummus, the falafel and the fatet makdous. The hummus and the falafel were OK but forgettable. The fatet makdous was quite good, but the portion was simply too small (I'd originally ordered two dishes and added a third after I saw it). As for desserts, there wasn't much to choose from, it was baklava or ice cream. It would've been nice to have a bit more variety. I found the price was excessive given the portions. The service was amazingly friendly
D. L.
A wonderful restaurant - delicious and very original food, made with love and care. All the staff were very friendly too.
W. H.
Unbelievable. The best food and amazing service. I cannot recommend this place enough! Imad has an incredible story and his attitude towards helping others is incredible. A bonus that some of the bill went to Choose Love, a charity he has long been associated with! Everything was excellent and Imad came out of the Kitchen to greet everyone, making time to say Hello.
A. V.
We had an amazing lunch at Imad's. Tried most of the vegetarian dishes and they were all delicious. My favourite was the baba ghanoj and we both loved the falafels. I've never been a baklawa fan until I tried theirs, delectable.
I'm definitely going back and have been telling everyone about Imad's.
P. M.
Amazing food for just £5. It's become a hotspot for people who work in the area so I would recommend going as soon as it opens to avoid queueing! Really chuffed that it is two doors down from where I work!
L. &. A.
Love what Imad and the team are doing here. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere with food bursting with flavor. Most authentic baklava and Arabic ice cream in London just sweeten the deal. Definitely a must visit.
S. H.
If you visit one restaurant in London, make it this one.
* Incredible vegan hindi (squash and mushroom)
* Zaatar salad also a dream
* Everything cooked to perfection
* Dishes timed perfectly
* Friendly atmosphere and great service without being stuffy
* Finally, we thought our bill was amazingly reasonable given the quality of the food and central London location.
Thank you for bringing this stunning food to London.
J. M.
Excellent service and delicious food! The pistachio and candy floss ice cream was amazing!
A. B.
Food was incredible, staff and chef very accommodating (we arrived just before closing) and service brilliant. Thank you!!
All round great vibe too. Quite a few gluten free options as well.
J. C.
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Food and the service was fantastic, we will definitely be back.
V. D.
I came across this restaurant in a BBC food article magazine (or was it a Sainsbury"s one?) and was dying to try it on my next visit to London. It didn't disappoint. The Baba ganouhj was one of the best I've ever tasted and the Syrian homemade candyfloss is out of this world. Prices very reasonable for this part of town. Really attentive service even on a very busy Saturday night. Luca was our waiter and he was amazing; we also had a chat with Imad who's a sweetheart. Book in advance as it fills up quickly!
B. F.
We visited early June 21, fourth week after opening. Food was authentic, quality ingredients and, on the whole, fantastic cooking (in particular the chicken strips and the lamb fillet). Hats off to Imad. Lovely story too. We’ll be coming back.
G. C.
Delightful food, lovely ambience and an owner with a great story. Lovely to support an independent business and the food was veggie friendly, flavoursome and quick. Highly recommend 👌👌👌
Hummus, falafel and bas ganouj were all on point.
S. M.
This is a lovely restaurant. Cooking was excellent, small menu is perfect - really interesting food that I haven’t had before. Wait staff were really friendly and helpful. Will come back.
L. H.
Really enjoy our meal, great food and service. Nice space at the top of Kingly Court too.
No photos as we got stuck in too quickly, but empty plates all round.
Look forward to one of Imad's coffees on our next visit!!
N. K.
Really great for a special occasional as it’s quite pricey. The location is fantastic and the food is faultless.
L. H.
Absolutely beautiful food and wonderful hospitality. The falafel somehow tastes like chicken nuggets - amazing! Couldn't recommend more
N. G.
..Tasty veggie options (crunchy falafels, chargrilled babaghanoush, pomegranate garnish, baked cauliflower-florets Syrian ice cream)prompt service with a smile, great atmosphere, perfect location- as another well known frequenter to Carnaby street has sung - ‘who could ask for more?’..
K. R.
Fantastic. Should be top of anyones list of middle eastern resteraunts/cafes in London.

Food was authentic and tasty. Part of the bill is supporting a good cause. I read about his story on choose love instagram and Imad came out to say hello. Will go back and recommend trying it out.
S. S.
From being warmly greeted by Mr. Imad (who had the biggest smile on his face) to the intricacy of the dishes. Absolutely blown away by Imad's Syrian Kitchen. This is definitely going to be my go to Syrian/Lebanese restaurant in London. Absolutely recommend the Shish Tawouk, it just melts in your mouth 🤤
P. H.
Delicious food and so welcoming, the restaurant was really busy on Tuesday lunchtime and rightly so.
Fantastic service and highly recommend

Just go, the service, the food. It's all great, genuinely one of the nicest places I have been in. Remember to book, it gets busy.

Stunningly good food and a back story to cry over.
The best Syrian Street food and more.
You must make space for the Syrian Ice-cream with Candy floss.
T. M.
Really delicious food, the falafel in particular were excellent! The portions aren't huge but that doesn't matter when the food is rich and filling 👌
f. S.

Muammara and zaatar salad are not what you would find in a traditional Middle Eastern kitchen but still very tasty.

The most beautiful food, it was so delicious and tasty, i would recommend everyone to visit. The staff were all incredibly friend and accommodating. The atmosphere was perfect, and Imad himself was so kind.
L. G.
Food was nice and staffs were really friendly, however table was small, and we have been asked to leave after 90 min as someone else was waiting for the table, which I believe is not mentioned at the time of the reservation.
It was such a shame to leave with plenty of food left on a table …
Q. J.
Good food and some natural wine options!
