Great chippy! Though I thought 11 pounds was a bit high for the size of the piece of fish I had. You definitely can’t share. The fish had a a nice crunchy batter but it just wasn’t enough. Plenty of chips though. Good tartar but also not enough sauce served. I was able to dip about 3 chips in the sauce.

Pretty delicious fish and chips. I got “the mix” which for two pounds extra got me a handful of calamari too (which were delicious). Great preparation - and crunchy batter. I’m giving it 4 stars on balance, as my wife thought hers was a bit oily and that the fish to batter ratio could have been better. So it was 3 stars from her and 5 from me. I thought they were delicious! Interesting fact: Northers are more likely to have vinegar on Thor chips, so if you’d want some, you gotta ask for it! Interesting fact number 2 (from the lady in the queue: fish and chip shops in the north all use beef fat to dry their fish! Who knew. Anyway - thanks Andy! These were yum.

SO delicious! The calamari was lightly battered and the chunky chips were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. But the truly amazing thing was the seasoning. If you're in the area, worth a stop. Thanks Andy! Update: I've been back 3 times this month...can't keep away. YUMMY.

I don't know if it that home-made tartar sauce, or the way that Andy fries the calamari, or even the fries themselves ... but I cannot help myself from going back and back for more.
