Fantastic restaurant. A must try in green street. The butter chicken is the one! The chicken tikka starter was great. Kebabs were OK. Naan bread was OK. Proper fresh food. Great customer service. The Aroma ice cream is delicious. Toilet facilities is nice and clean and they have proper hand wash that has good fragrance.

Not so fond of self ordering at the counter considering the prices are more suited for full waited service. £1.20 for foreign imported Pepsi light which tasted like metal, didn't find that cool at all. The place looks well renovated and everything is very clean. Including plates. The food tasted average and nothing really that special. Ordered the 900year old recipe lamb dish but did not find it to be that special. The lady at the reception could not describe the dish properly and I couldn't imagine the taste. I didn't have much interaction with the staff as they are just busy delivering food to the table. But they seemed friendly. Overall a clean place but the food did not hit the spot. I think improvement on the food taste will make this place a whole lot better. .

The place is very clean and staff are great.the food is amazing but only one thing that doesn't meet up is that.you pay first and then you eat if you need more naan you go pay and then you get your naan while in that time the food gets cold.they need to go back how it was order eat and pay at the end as service of food will be faster.

I love all types of food and love trying new places, so today it was Khana Khazan on my list to try. Mind you, I have been to this place years ago; long before the revamp and remember it being very tasty food, although back then the restaurant was cramped and dated. It has been modernized, very clean and spacious, everything neat and tidy, definitely a plus. Upon arrival a waitress told us to find a table and sit, we could sit anywhere, she was friendly enough. Once we looked through the menu, the same waitress told us when we know what to order; to go to the counter and place the order, somewhat disappointing they don't take order from the table, any decent restaurant should take orders from the table really. Been a long time since I have experienced that I must admit (except fast food restaurants and Nandos maybe lol). Ordering from the counter means you pay before eat, which is not a problem I guess. We had Grill Chicken, which tasted somewhat okay, nothing special, not something you would go out of your way to have again, It wasn't bad either. Chicken Biryani was a bit bland, portion was okay, enough to share between two people with other food. It's okay to be fair, again nothing special. Lamb dish which they claim is a 900 years old recipe, was probably the biggest disappointment, not because it wasn't nice, it was okay for sure, but nothing special, I guess the 900 years old recipe claim made me expect something really tasty, it fell well below my expectations. Meat was soft, juicy, meat sauce was nice too, but unfortunately I have had better in so many other places. Butter Nan just didn't cut it, felt like something missing, note, maybe seve Nan in a hot plate so it doesn't get cold too quick. Last but not least, Diet Pepsi, they charge £1.20, which is reasonable, but it tasted horrible, straight away I realised it must be foreign import cans, it didn't taste like regular diet pepsi. Disappointed with that, why not serve regular UK Pepsi, if it means you have to charge a few pence more it's not a big deal, rather then having to serve cheap imported cans. Overall, although I wasn't totally disappointed with my visit, I probably won't rush to visit again. Worth a try if you are in the area, but don't expect anything special.

We dont really expect that their food is gonna be so tasty. We tried chicken biryani, chicken karahi and plain naan. My god the food was so tasty i cant even express. Im fully satisfied with their food and also their service. I highly recommend this place.

I've been twice now. 1st visit just had a lamb curry and naan, which was really good. 2nd visit I got a lamb saag and a chicken jalfrazi. Both very good. I wanted that same curry again. I forgot what curry I had, and showed a picture (of the curry from my first visit) to the lady that takes the orders she said it was the 900 year old one. But when it came and I tasted it, it wasn't the same. She changed it to a lamb curry with no fuss. But it didn't have the same taste as I remembered. But regardless while there service isn't that amazing, the restaurant is clean and simple prices are decent and most importantly food is tasty.

I'm not keen on going to desi restaurants as I feel like I'm doing them a favour by just turning up. Here the staff I felt were indifferent, no friendly greeting and we were given a table under an AC vent, which was very cold and woke my baby up and we hadn't even sat down yet. The food was okay, nothing special. What they charged for 3 samosas, I did not expect 3 small filo pastry samosas. We ordered Shahi Panner and Chick peas. The panner lack richness and the chick peas were bland. And what they charge for the food I would expect to pay at the table, not order at the counter.

I was absolutely enthralled with the food! Amazing authentic Pakistani cuisine. Beautifully flavoured butter chicken curry and a lamb karahi. Wonderfully spiced and flavoured. The food tasted as good as it looked which is rare. The one bit of feedback I would give is that I did not enjoy the fact that we had to order at the till. We had to leave our meals and walk to the till to order anything extra which made zero sense. If the waiters took our orders this would have been a 5/5 experience. The staff were friendly nonetheless. Overall, brilliant food, and I will be returning.

Nice setting, staff were happy to relocate tables for group of 8. Extensive menu, and the family Mixed Grill grill was very large. LAHORI Karai Bhuna was succulent. Parking was just across the road at Shaftsbury Road Car park, Free on Sundays.

Went for dinner on Sunday evening, was very busy, Ordered chicken biryani, butter chicken with garlic naan and kids meal - nuggets and fries. Service was quick, and the staff was accomodating. Biryani was good, the flavour was nice, although a note - it's not the typical hyderabadi dum biryani where you can see the white basmati rice separate from masala. It's all mixed, it's not basmati, and you can't see any separate masala. Butter chicken was too sweet, the chicken was tender and well cooked, The garlic naan was delicious and the kids meal was good. Bill came upto 24£. Since we couldn't finish , we got takeway boxes to take the food home. Will definitely visit again and recommend.

Visited this place with the family on a Sunday evening. The restaurant looks clean and fresh. Staff were polite and approachable. The food looked fresh and was really tasty, especially the lamb chops. The only things I did not like was the fact they did not offer table service and I had to get up and order ( inc.. subsequent items I ordered after). It's a real inconvenience especially when you are trying to enjoy your food. The toilet floors are really wet and the sinks and dryers are placed too far in and you have stretch forward to wash and dry your hands. They need to address this. Other than this, I will definitely return as the food was really good.

First meal out for 2021. I have to say food was brilliant. Hands down the best butter paneer masala I have ever eaten. The biryani was ok, but everything else was fantastic. I would have given it 5 stars however we had to pay 50p for the non recyclable containers to take the remaining food home! I've never heard of that before or even had to pay! It's absurd. I wouldn't mind paying if the containers were recyclable. This should be a standard in 2021. Staff as always are lovely. You won't be disappointed eating here. It's extremely clean and bathrooms are decent.

I wandered in for certain companions on Saturday night and was immediately welcomed by the staff and staggering smell of scrumptious suppers. the restaurant was topping off rapidly and it was practically 7:00 pm yet fortunately we figured out how to catch a table. we ordered the barbecue family platters, sheep biriyani, spread chicken, garlic naan, and masala chips. the platters were truly satisfying with the assortment of meats that we were expecting, sheep biriyani we cherished it, they had the best spread chicken I say generally speaking great restaurant to visit. before the finish of the supper, we were arranging our following visit

This place makes very authentic and great tasting curries that immediately reminded me of my trip to Chennai a few years back. They do Murg dishes too! Went shopping to green st. Decided to have lunch somewhere. We ended up in this place. It's a decently furnished place, although they have maximised the number of seatings to allow for more customers. If you want a quieter place, you will have to go somewhere else. The food is decently priced. The taste is good. The portion sizes are good also. There is table service here, although you do have to order at the counter and pay there at the beginning.

There’s a variety of food options to indulge in which satisfy a wide range of tastebuds; from curries to grills to lovely kids food, this place is a must if you like family friendly places. I love this place as you get tasty foods at an affordable price. One thing they can improve is better customer service by employing more staff. My personal favourites are chana chat, masala chips, chicken biriyani, grill platter, garlic naan, tarka daal, lamb bharitarka, lassi and mojitos. I order from the restaurant at least once a month, and it has never failed to disappoint. My go to dishes are butter chicken, chilli paneer and manchurian chicken. Each dish is made to perfection each time. When ordering anything different, the same quality of food is always received. Service also always on point.

This place is where The Mobeen Restaurant use to be. Its clean and looks nice. I have been in a few time. Only thing I find is the food is very spicy. Maybe that is my fault. I should ask for less spice. However the Kebab need to be less spicy, it literally burns your mouth. The Naans given were burnt, but they did correct that. There is plenty of room for improvement but if they listen to their customers, they can be a top quality place. They have potential. Customer Service was good. They are polite and not rude like some of the other places in the area. If you like your spice you will probably give it more stars.

The best restaurant in Green Street to visit! The food is affordable and absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is impeccably clean and the staff are lovely. From the grilled food to the curries it is all scrumptious. Especially the butter chicken which is the most authentic i've ever tasted from any restaurant in the UK. I don't know why I tried their food. So last minute decision I told everyone to get together in Khana khazana. Service was excellent, staff were very friendly and the food was extraordinarily tasty! Enough portion of everything. Happy birthday song. Candle, knife etc. I mean there are things that you cannot describe only can be getting from friends and family which I received from them. I highly recommend and also would like to thanks all the staff for their heartfelt services and attention.

It’s hard to find a place which is clean and the interior being nice especially when your in green street. This restaurant ticked all the boxes, clean, hygienic, great customer service, quick service, tasty food and very good and competitive price. Food was really authentic, we had the mixed platter, various curries and biryanis and each dish was served hot and extremely tasty. Highly recommend this place and really impressed with the service. Came here for the first time for dinner on a Saturday evening. The food looked good on other people's plates when we walked past the restaurant, and that is what drew us in. The restaurant was busy and has a real family vibe about it. We ordered 2 birianis, 2 mixed grills, 2 portions of chips and a kids meal to share between 8 adults and 1 child. We asked for the kids meal to be served as soon as possible since the child was hungry, to which the kitchen kindly obliged. But along with the kids meal they brought the portions of chips and plates of salad...then there was quite a long wait before the mains arrived so the chips got cold. But when the grills did arrive, they were served sizzling and were delicious. The birianis followed maybe 20 minutes later and were also really tasty. The restaurant looked clean and waiters were visibly cleaning tables after service (you'd be surprised at how many places around Green Street don't do this). The restaurant has 2 sets of doors and whenever anyone opened them it made a huge cold draft go through the restaurant. The lady at the bar counter (i think she was the manager) was really nice and accommodating. But the waiters weren't so good - they weren't attentive at all; e.g. one of the dining party was choking and needed water and the waiter was called but went to a different table instead...then kept returning to the other table whilst ignoring ours. Also another waiter took our takeaway boxes whilst clearing the table. Overall, Khana Khazana is a great choice for tasty local food but the service lets it down.

This place occupies Mobeen's old spot and moved over from across the road from the old pub. There are a lot of restaurants on Green St. Without a doubt, this is the best and the one I most recommend to friends. Customer service is always great. Food - karai chicken, chicken tikka, lamb seek kebab, veg biryani, chicken pakora, paneer pakora, daal makhani all very good. Great Punjabi food. Quality of chicken and lamb is high quality. I think Gafoors supply them. It's always busy evenings and weekends.

Was 1 of my favourite places in the past, since moving to the new location, they have dropped the ball. Food is still good but not great, they started to use a lot of onions, tomato & peppers in the dishes, so there's less meat, chicken or veg. I got bindi dish, between me & my wife we got 4-5 small pieces & got charged for it even after I complained. Won't be going back there for a very very long time
