Lovely, cosy Turkish restaurant, I drive all the way from west Midlands to London on Sunday morning only to have the breakfast. The buffet is a must to try. Very good price and good variety of food. Staff are very attentive. Nothing to complain about. Definitely would go back soon!

Visited due to the neighbouring restaurant being fully booked and was not disappointed in the slightest. The meat from the mixed grill was cooked to perfection. One of Islington’s highly favoured Mediterranean restaurants, I came here with family and one of mums friends visiting from Scotland. As we are a Cypriot family it was ideal that we take her to eat some good traditional food. It was great that we could get a last minute table to eat in here, the service was impeccable and staff were extremely accommodating to our requests (mine being sat next to a plug socket of course, and my brothers vegan requirements.) The restaurant itself is decorated with beautiful chandeliers and lights throughout, providing a real Mediterranean ambience. I shared a bottle of house Pinot Grigio with my siblings and ordered the Iskender for mains which was delicious! The flavours in this dish had my tastebuds tingling! 5 star customer service and delicious food without fault! I am a regular at Kilis, my fiance and I were hosting a gathering to celebrate our engagement and I asked Kilis if they could cater it since we love the food so much. We deal directly with Tayfun who perfectly estimated the amount of food for the number of people we had, had it all packed and ready for collection at the time agreed and all at a reasonable price. Service was excellent. All the waiting staff were at their best, Zeynep especially made our experience pleasant. Food was delicious, flavoursome and enjoyable. The portions were a tad smaller which my companion noticed from past visits. Seats were hard, no cushion and the tables were small. On a busy evening you'll have to contend with one small square table for dining out for two - the norm for central London I suppose. The WC was highest standard, clean with face tissues next to the basin counter. One of the two gent's lavatory was quite spacious for this part of town. After paying the bills, the experience as we walked out was pleasant from the service staff. Will visit again when next visiting this area of London.

I guess they don't know that Valentines day is a busy day, because either they were understaffed or they need a new manager (based on his manners, I'll go with that). Took 15min to get served, nearly 45min for starters to come and the best part of an hour for the main. The waitress was very apologetic and courteous at least. When it arrived, the lamb chops weren't great buy the chicken shish was actually quite nice. Good chilli salsas and veg too.

Nice delicious Turkish cuisine. Very friendly service. The prices are good. Plenty of space to sit indoors with couple of tables outside. Specail recommendations are sun dried dolma, pistacchio kebap and definitely baklava. You won't regret visiting.

Prices are very good. £12 for a chicken shis is comparable to the cost of a cheap Turkish restaurant in Dalston, however the quality and presentation is way better. Loved the home made chilly sauce. I had the Vegan Meze. The food was lovely and we outside as is the requirement at the time of writing. We were well covered and blankets available if it got cold. Despite the changeable weather there was a good vibe and the staff were helpful and attentive. The food was lovely and well presented. I went there for lunch. Overall the food were really good. The portions are filling. I am Turkish and especially found "baklava" really great. They freshly make it there, it wasn't too sweet, just as right and they were also generous about the pistachio level. I can say the "baklava" here is even better than Turkey. I also tried milk pudding (sutlac) but it was a little too sweet for me.

The place is okay but decoration is not very good and kids menu is a waste of money. The burgers in the kids menu was not nice and the buns of the burger were really hard. If you want to get food from there get the adults menu. Something that is really good about that place is its dessert.

A nice Turkish restaurant just off fashionable Upper Street in The Angel Islington in London. An excellent range of dishes plus wines to choose from. I was happy with the food I ordered -a vegetarian moussaka. A few more herbs would have given the dish an extra lift, plus the food could have been served a little warmer too. The restaurant itself was a little on the cool side. The radiator, which I was sitting next to, was switched off. Friendly welcome and good service.

I've eaten here a few times around 17:30 - they run the lunch menu until 18:00 which is a real bargain. The staff are friendly, the food is good, and the toilets are clean. When I've paid the bill I always get a glass of fruit wine on the house. Highly recommended.

Best Turkish breakfast in London!! It's an open buffet and you can eat as much as you want. Pricing is quite fair. If you go there for breakfast it's guaranteed that you'll skip lunch. Deserts are also great, don't miss them by just focusing on other stuff.

We love going to this place and have been many times. Always reliable, fast service and great attention from the staff who are always super accommodating and friendly. I took my sister and her 1 year old who was very fussy during our early dinner and they asked if they could hold and play with him for a few minutes to distract him so she could have a few minute to eat. My sister was reluctant at first but gave in quickly and we were blown away by how kind they were ( it wasnt very busy yet as it was 5pm). The homemade sweet chili sauce is incredible ( spicy though!) and the veggie moussaka is a favorite. Huge portions- we love dining in and getting take-away at home. We will continue to be customers of Kilis!

Special favourites were the moussaka, the secik, and the chili sauce they offer! I've been there on a Saturday in January, very helpful staff, I had sea bass that could have been better if they cooked the whole fish rather than fillets that were a bit dry, I requested roasted vegetables instead of rocket and tomato salad, even though I was told it was going to be a bit more expensive I said ok if you bring peppers, courgettes and aubergine instead, they completelly ignored this and brought me a bowl with some boiled broccoli and carrots that they only seasoned with butter, a bit dissapointing there. OK Turkish restaurants are best for meat but I was feeling like eating fish that day. I tried the lamb that my friend ordered and it was very tender (I would say it was boiled like in a stew and then they put the tomato sauce o n top as the lamb itself tasted a bit watery) sorry I'm a cook my self as well ;) apart from that appeticers were good, excellent humus and schasiki, I don't think I will go back though, I have better Turkish restaurants in SE London

Kilis has quickly became one of my favorite restaurants in London. There's a certain aura and charm about this place that it's hard to not to fall in love with. We tried a variety of items, including a superb king prawn and char grilled chicken kofte starter, lamb cutlets, and a char-grilled sea bass main, and some really exceptional chocolate and cheesecake for dessert. The food was top notch, the service attentive without being intrusive, and on par with some of my other favorite restaurants. Don't miss this one! The chefs are excellent.

What a great find ! Tucked away from the main road is this Turkish pearl of a restaurant... I ordered the veggie mezze which arrived promptly and was big enough to share. The smoothest hummus I've ever had, the smoky aubergine puree was perfection, the tabouleh although a bit lemony for my taste was super fresh and green, and the grilled haloumi was soft, beautiful and flavourful... Go and try it and you will love it... But go with an appetite ! Try the Turkish chardonnay.... Who knew..?! The service was fast AND friendly... I will come back... I took a star away because they seemed to give everyone else a shot of something with their bill, except me... Not cool

This has quickly become one of our favourite places to eat out in London..the decor and environment is great and the service outstanding. Even during peak busy times the atmosphere is pretty easy going and service never feels rushed. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had in London....the food keeps getting topped up fresh and nothing runs out! In addition you get omlettes made to order served to your table. Osiyo makes the best omlettes and is a great example of the outstanding customer service here! Set lunch and a la carte menu have a great selection and are great value overall. Overall, highly recommend this place!

My favorite place for Turkish food. The portion and presentation is as tasty as it looks. It is so colorful and flavorful. The freshness stands out. Went to Mem & Laz before and I much prefer Kilis Kitchen. Price is good too. Only thing is that it's a bit loud. They bump the music and voice seems to echo throughout the back area. I felt like I had to talk extra loud to make myself heard over everyone else. But I can deal with it. The food is good and I'll be back. This is hands down one of the gems by the Angel station! Great portions that taste sooo great you will kill! make sure you get the spicey sauce with your meal. A favorite of ours in London! We have yet to have either a bad meal of bad service at this great Turkish/Lebanese restaurant. Among the meals we have had there are pistachio kebab, shish kofte (Adana style), kuzo guvec, and alinazik. The kunefe for dessert is superb! To top it all off, the wait staff are all wonderfully welcoming. This one's a keeper!

It's a steal at only 8 GBP. They also have a great variety of delicious Turkish entrees from kebobs to grape leaves to casseroles. Can't make a bad choice here! Despite the slow service, I still give it a 5 for excellent and reasonably priced food.

No booking. Walk in off the street. A few checks and I was led to a table for one on a super busy Valentine weekend. Fabulous busy atmosphere and sat near this spectacular light shade. Full menu - lots to choose from. Lots of veggie options. Nice plates - Nice music - happy atmosphere. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. I was very well looked after notably by zül who was really lovely. Enjoyed my main course and dessert and was given a complimentary special Turkish tea - very nice. Clean and tidy (not easy when so busy). All the staff work so hard to make it nice for everyone. So please to find this place. I will come back again with my family next time. We will have a feast 😄. Highly recommend.
