Reviews of Kitchen W8
I. M.
Great food, amazing atmosphere and very friendly staff. The tasting menu takes you on a journey of different flavours and very creative modern dishes. The cheese board was a bit of a miss with myself and my companion, but I can see why it’s been put on the set menu. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and that does not take away from the beauty of the experience at all. The chef was more than happy to swap out a couple dishes from the menu for my companion, and these little details show care and appreciation for the guest. Would come back 100%

Absolutely fabulous. This place is such a gem! The food is out of this world. We ordered the set menu and every single dish was delicious. The dessert was a tad too sweet for my taste, but it didn't have any effect on my experience. The staff is great and very (very!) friendly, making sure that you will feel welcome and keeping the atmosphere light. The restaurant on it's own is very pretty. You can observe beautiful nature-themed wallpapers and minimalistic design (tad similar to Hide above). We left delighted and we will definitely be back!

We celebrated new years eve as a group of 6 at KW8. It truly was an excellent experience with knowledgeable staff who were truly enthusiastic about the service. Unfortunately I cannot recall the name of the gentleman who was the master of water however he was so upbeat and excited to help that it really made the evening.
We had the tasting menu which was superb and well timed. Perhaps the only challenge was that staff did fail to notice when wine was low in the glass. They probably could have sold a couple more bottles if they had kept more of an eye on the situation however I believe we were all quite thankful to have avoided a hangover on NYE.
Highly recommended if you're of the Kensington sort.

Food at Kitchen W8 is excellent. We went for A la Carte option on a weekend lunch. Hand rolled linguini and scorched Cornish mackerel were the highlights for me. Don’t forget to order truffle creamed potato, it will vanish as soon as it is served!
Service:
Staff is very polite though the service is almost unacceptably slow. Not that we mind a lazy lunch on a Saturday but it took almost half an hour for the staff to take our order.
Cocktail options are limited, would recommend ordering wine.
Overall, we loved the food and would definitely be returning. Truly a neighbourhood restaurant with brilliant food.

Beautiful restaurant very calm and definitely worth the michelin star for this quality of food and service the price is amazing. Had tried the set lunch menu and everything was perfect the staff was very accommodating for my vegetarian girlfriend. Will come back soon for sure
l. g.
Great food admist a nice casual setting. Do try the weekly sommeliers special where they pick a nice magnum and sell the wine by the glass at a lower markup. Lovely idea!
L. P.
If you are looking for fine dining then Kitchen W8 is definitely your goto resturant. The food was amazing, brilliant service and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The prices are reasonable and is all worth it. Will definitely visit again.

I enjoyed a great meal and outstanding Front of House service here. I had the famous mackarel and eel, which made me quickly understand why it is on the menu since Kitchen W8's opening and the special of the chef - Roast red leg partridge, pumpkin and chanterelle pie, bubble and squeak, Wiltshire truffle, what a dish! I will definitely come back.
A. E.
Amazing food, highly recommend it. We celebrated our engagement and birthday here, the staff prepared a nice card and got fresh flowers (upon request). 10/10 This place deserves it, their service and decor were also great. Great value for money too
N. H.
Very nice restaurant with friendly staff and good atmosphere. Food is very good and the staff takes very serious any requests you have regarding allergies or other specifications.

Had a phenomenal dinner here in Jan 2022. Every dish was excellent and had so many layers of flavours. I especially liked that you could get half flights of wine so you could sample several with your food. The maitre-d (tall guy with red hair) was extremely friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will absolutely be back.
K. F.
Absolutely amazing experience! Thank you to all the friendly staff who more the exceeded our expectations. Despite our ‘picky’ efforts in asking for some changes to the menu, the restaurant staff were more than happy to accommodate which we really appreciated. The food was also exceptional, and I must say the taster menu is extremely good value for money given the location and prestige of the restaurant. We’ll definitely be coming back and cannot wait!
P.
Kitchen W8 always has a very interesting varying menu. Their truffle menus are not to be missed.
R. S.
I love this restaurant! Really really good food but with a relaxed atmosphere so it doesn’t feel too posh or stuffy. Waiter was excellent, very friendly and professional at the same time. Menu was really interesting, every dish has a unique twist. Will definitely go again.
J. L.
Really enjoyed Kitchen W8. We were welcomed warmly and the service was friendly throughout the evening. My fellow guest had quite a few dietary requirements and the team was good enough to customise the menu to suit. The food was delicious and very well presented. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and hope to be back!
J. B.
3 course set menu was super tasty and interesting. Also less than £30!!
Service was attentive and friendly.
Look forward to going back for lunch soon.

Visited on a Friday evening with wife and friend. We enjoyed the taster menu with wine flight plus a few drinks to begin. All courses match well with the wines and the food is sublime. The pork course was perfect. Great friendly service and the Sommelier really knows his stuff without being pretentious. Thank you Kitchen W8 for the lovely evening.
V. V.
The food was very interesting, complex flavors and smells, multitude of textures. The highlight for me was the cod, with the raviolo with partridge a close second. The duck was honestly too heavy. The room was understated and elegant, but if I have to be honest, it was a bit boring.
S. P.
Great value tasting menu available. Team make us welcome and encourage to have friendly conversation, relaxed atmosphere and sleek service.
I. E.
Had the tasting menu and matching wines. Excellent food and generous glasses. Extra charge for the drink on one course (port) which seemed odd. The staff seemed very busy despite being half full but would recommend this place.
P. N. A.
Slow service. Good food. Overrrated set menu. Enjoyed it but wasn’t blown away and didn’t live up to the hype. Dishes need more balanced flavours. We waited 30 mins until someone came to take our order (which by the way was simple enough. The full tasting menu) but don’t know why it took us so long to have someone notice w are waiting for them. Drink service was slow but staff were very polite. When asked about recommendations, staff seemed knowledgeable so that was good. Food was presented very will. Just wish it had tasted better and lived up to the hype but maybe another time. Chocolate desert was amazing though
N. A.
Nice restaurant and tasty food but a bit slow and smoky.
M. R.
This Michelin starred restaurant is a great place for a date night or lunch or dinner with other food loving friends. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and The staff are friendly. The set menu is great value for money and very tasty! Be sure to make a bioking. This is not a child friendly restaurant.
H. C.
Service was great but food didn't taste of Michelin standards. The pork cheeks were not that tender and the fish was cooked pretty much in Chinese style. Starter was good though! As for the dessert, while the salted caramel ice cream was nice, the entire mix of the dessert was way too rich.
S. L.
We had Graet evening 😀
P. V.
Delicious food and drinks, lovely and friendly staff, clean facilities
L. J.
Our third visit here & as usual we were delighted. We chose game raviolo & beetroot fig salad for our starters, roast rump & pork for our mains, followed by pear sorbet with Autumn fruit compote & lemon parfait with caramelised biscuit for desserts. All of the food was impressive, as we expected. I have to say, so was the service! I'm currently pregnant & really felt looked after & welcome. Thank you so much for making our weekend away special x x
K. Y.
Very well cooked and seasoned. Does not have any sharp edge in taste which are so common in high en Londin restaurants. Probably one of the best Muchelin one star restaurant in UK
M. C.
Had a genuinely lovely and memorable time here, food was incredible and the staff were very friendly and good at their job. I told them I was off to university on the weekend and they wrote good luck on a plate for me! Would highly recommend and thank you to the staff for a fantastic lunch.
R.
The interior is nice and modern. The waiting staff is friendly. The food is good at a reasonable price especially during lunch. They have a nice selection of wines and some interesting cocktails.
Y. X.
Sophisticated, classy and neighborhoody.
First visit to the Michelin one star Kitchen W8 in the neighborhood after their remodeling - they’ve now got a beautiful private dining room for family / friends gatherings.
KW8 along with its sister restaurant Elystan Street remain on my list of fine dining hidden gems in London.
Dishes recommended:
- Slow Cooked Iberico Pork, Spring Carrots, Cracked Wheat, Wild Nettle and Radish (my personal favorite)
- Vanilla Croustade, Gariguette Strawberries, White Chocolate Cream, Buttermilk and Pistachio (surprisingly good)
- Grilled Cornish Mackerel, Smoked Eel, Sweet Mustard and leek
- Warm Salad of Artichoke and Cauliflower, Swiss Chard, Spiced Cashews and Green Olives
- Roast Rump of Veal, Young Garlic, White Asparagus, Jersey Royals and Morels
- Chocolate Pavé, Salt Caramel, Banana Ice Cream and Lime
K. K.
My favourite restaurant in London. The food is exquisite and the price is good. Three course meal with a bottle of wine for two will set you off by £150, which is nothing for a Michelin starred food. You can also go for a set menu version which is less expensive but still shows off the level of mastery.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, we always choose the dishes they recommend. The menu is updated every two weeks which makes it a very seasonal place.
R. W.
Really pleased with our experience at this place. Staff were so polite and welcoming. The set menu was reasonably priced and provided fantastic options which is fantastic for people who want a nice yet light meal.
J. C.
One of the well hidden dining gems in London. An affordable set menu that still provides the well deserved Michelin star experience.
S. C.
Really love this place. Never disappointed. Hoping to go again in spring.... And I did. Again it was really fantastic. Had the wine option and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Booked again for September
A. S.
We had a set lunch menu and the food was very tasty although the 2 plates and an dessert were not fulfilling enough for my taste. Honest price for the set menu and great service.
N.
Food is pretty good but not very filling. It might depends on the courses they offer as well, last time was much better but this time wasn't as good. The place was in a small street off High Street Kensington, a little difficult to find. Some staffs weren't very friendly.
S. V.
Nice lunch, balanced flavours. The only reason I'm rating 3 stars is because our fish was cooked or someother will say over cooked.
S. T.
This place has exceeded our expectations! Every dish had an interesting twist to it and a little mystery as to how they managed to produce such a distinct flavour. The servings were hearty enough for us to come out full after having a starter and main. The service was attentive and respectful too, and they sent us home with a little sweet gift to extend our experience. Bravo!
J. O.
We had a really nice dinner here when we had their tasting menu. There were some dishes on the menu I would not usually choose so it was good to be able to try them in smaller portions. I think my favourite was the guinea fowl - the meat was tender and delicious. The service was excellent.
M. W.
Food is indicative of a Michelin starred restaurant. Service is excellent and the no corkage BYO on Sunday evenings is a plus plus!
P. F.
Just ok unfortunately.
The food is fine but not great and the setting is alright.
The menu was not particularly inspiring and the execution was just ok.
Going after restaurants like The Glasshouse but falling short.
Service was friendly.
Overpriced for what it is. It’s just a bit bland really.
Can’t recommend unfortunately.
H. Z.
Great restaurant for celebrating special occasions. The staff would prepare a card and a special sweet treat at the end.
A. Y.
Excellent restaurant. Our 3rd visit and as good as usual. Great service and delicious menue.
k.
Amazing restaurant, food is exceptional and so is the service, been for dinner here 10+ times... already planning the next!
S. C.
The staff, the sommelier, the food all rolled into 1 great experience. You will not be disappointed. I wish we had taken pictures. Beautiful dishes. RSVP a must.
P. H.
We enjoyed a great meal here. Satisfying portion sizes, delicious food perfectly cooked, friendly front of house staff, fairly priced. We will definitely be back.
P. A.
Stuffed potato skin and rice pudding dishes alone warranted my 3 hour round trip and the pairings were spot on too.
D. C. S. |. B. D.
Great meal. Really enjoyed it, 5* service at an excellent price.
K.
Every dish was impressive and unforgettable one.
S. K.
Lovely little restaurant with exceptionally crafted food and excellent presentation. It helps that it is Michelin starred.
J.
Fantastic food and service! I had the lunch set menu, with the chicken wings, deer, and bengiets with cream.
T. N.
Wonderful food, great service. The carbonara was delicious, as was the halibut, and brown butter tart for dessert.
K. H.
It's great atmosphere to have dinner with your family or friends, where staffs are friendly. You can enjoy seasonal dish!!
A. F.
Fantastic food and great service. Every course tasted amazing. Would definitely go again.
R. M.
Excellent 1 star Michelin. Very good wine list. Nice people.
J. G.
Food was tasty and well presented. But it was missing the inspiration and lightness one could expect from a 1 star Michelin. Caramel creme was way too dense. Good wine list with affordable prices
B. T.
A great restaurant in the perfect location. The interior is modern and smart, but has a friendly laid back feel and a quiet, comfortable atmosphere.
We had the £29.50 3-course lunch set menu; great value for money and some interesting dishes. For starter, a salad of tomatoes, green beans, fig and anchovy cream, simple but tasty; perhaps getting away with no cooking!
The main was mussel chowder with smoked eel and saltcod, which all complimented each other well, with some interesting textures and flavours. Dessert was chocolate and cherry sponge and cream, which finished the menu perfectly.
Highly recommended, the menu changes often so there is always more to discover!
G. S. (.
A lovely Michelin starred restaurant with all you would expect as far as food and service. It also has a lovely local feel to it. Highly recommended.
E. F.
Beautiful every time. Best restaurant in London.
A. L.
One of the very best (and expensive) restaurants I have ever been to. Their lamb was so impressive that I could still remember its taste after a year
.
T. H.
Great food, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had a fantastic time. The tasting menu is well worth it
N. P.
Amazing place! I had one of my best dining experiences in London. Th ambience was lovely and the staff was very friendly and polite. Last but not least the food was tasting deliciously. I will definitely visit this place again.
M. L.
Nice one star Michelin restaurant, great lunch menu
P. A.
First experience here for a birthday two weeks ago. A Sunday lunch time. Best review I can give it will be... we are going back. .....
Excellent service , food and atmosphere. Thanks W8 and see you soon.
M. J. K.
Really loved this place! It would've been nicer if it was less crowded.
K. M.
Lovely food served by awesome and polite staff.
T. W.
Fantastic lunch. Usually Michelin star set lunches use lower grade produce and ingredients, not here, really good. 39 quid for 3 courses. Great service too. Avoid the 29 quid malbec however, very acidic.
M. W.
Have had many a good lunch at the Kitchen and have always found the food to be delicious, with the set menu always good value. The wine list a little on top side of pricing but extensive with lots of choice. Staff always polite and helpful. Easily accessible worth a visit.
J. S.
Unbelievable! We tried the lunch set menu, and all six plates between the two of us were outstanding. What looked like basic ingredients on the menu were so well matched and prepared that you wonder how they can possibly only charge £25 for the experience! The wines were fantastic as well - we polished off a bottle easily with lunch and as first guests at 12pm, we were easily out within 1.5hrs without any rush. The service was friendly and attentive (our glasses were never empty!). Can't wait to go back!
S. T.
Fantastic food and service. Brilliant staff. We were a party of 5 taking advantage of a corkage free offer. Despite bringing 4 bottles we still managed to buy 2 off the wine list!
J. H.
Been going for a number of years now and they have never disappointed. Great setting, great service and fantastic food. The staff always greet you with a smile, even when I turn up with my rather excitable children. They are helpful and flexible for children's meals even when they do not have them on the menu. One of the best restaurant experiences and I will keep on coming back.
S. P.
It was pretty underwhelming really. We had lunch with a supplier and work colleagues and perhaps my expectations were a little high after hearing about its Michelin star rating. The service was good, the decor a little tired and the food good but hardly amazing. I may have given it another star if the solution to not having a vegetarian option for our starter, was to remove the meat from the salad. These days frankly, I expect more.
A. B.
We have been coming to the Kitchen W8 for at least 8 years. Unfortunately, the service staff has changed and while the food still is good (it used to be exceptional), the whole experience is a far cry from what it used to be. Especially the friendliness and customer service could be improved. It has to be said though that the proprietor is the same and he is lovely as always which cannot be said of his staff. Still, the value for money is very good and you would be hard pressed to find a better deal in terms of quality for money.
S. M.
Excellent tasting menu with wine. Calm atmosphere. Attentive staff. A repeat visit, for a similar experience.
T. V.
Friendly staff, cozy environment and very good food. We had the 7 course tasting menu and only a rare few dishes weren't to our liking, mostly due to personal taste. Everything was well prepared, nicely presented and contained first class produce.
M. H.
We like a lot hanging out. Yesterday we visited this fine restaurant which friends recommended to us. We had a delightful experience there with very good cooking and a nice team and a professional cuisine. We put this venue in our list and we shall no doubt visit again very soon. We warmly recommend.
I. D. S.
I loved this place. The food was amazing and the service was too. It is a really nice place to go with your family, friends, or simply by yourself. The environment is quite chill but the restaurant has a nice decor. On lunch time they have good menu deals that will allow you to eat in a Michelin-stared restaurant at affordable prices, considering that it has a Michelin star.
G. C.
Great food and great service. A special evening.
s. e.
Amazing experience. Beautifully cooked food😍
M. L.
The best and most relaxed Michelin star dining experience in London. Brilliant attentive staff.
P. K.
Lovely staff and catered for our needs. Made feel special by Valateina who hosted us. Such a perfect touch..
E. A.
Food was really good. I loved the steak tartar. Sea bream was also good. Great chocolate with the tea. Lovely Austrian wine. Beautiful cups. I really liked the decor especially some of the paintings. Service was friendly and efficient. Great experience.
W.
Really amazing food. Service was really attentive. Lunch special was great value 3 courses for £29.50. Thought my drink was a bit pricey, they charged me £13 for an aperol soda (£10 for aperol and £3 on top for the soda)
S. H.
Great set menu which is good value and delicious! I would highly recommend visiting Kitchen W8!
d.
We had lunch here late November and early December 2018 for our birthdays and it was wonderful. Not really any more expensive than great restaurants in Perth Western Australia. We would go again but now back home.
M.
Came here for Sunday lunch with my girlfriend and we both had an extremely wonderful experience here.
Both of us sampled different items for each course yet enjoyed all of them. The excellently made complimentary bread roll was the perfect start to the meal. My starter of oxtail raviolo was full of flavour and so was my girlfriends crab emulsion. Our mains(hake and beef) were well cooked and nothing short of brilliance as well. The dessert of warm chocolate pudding with banana ice cream was most noteworthy, simple yet decadent.
The food here is extremely well worth the money given the level of cooking offered. Service was friendly and attentive as well.
x. p.
Fancy - creative French/European cuisine, nice atmosphere, good service.
H. W.
Superb food. Best 3 course set menu ever. Terrific, polished service. Wine ok but we did go for the cheapo stuff!! Will certainly go again.
C. d. S.
Tucked away off the high street and it appeared where the local residents go. Decor is understated and calming. Tables are well spaced out giving you privacy. Service is attentative and well mannered.
Food from the start presented good attention to detail and everything had delicious flavour. During the meal I said to myself this place should have a Michelin star but later learnt it had already.
H. M.
Upscale place with great food. A bit annoyed that the staff continuously interrupted intense conversation at our table to ask us if we were enjoying the food... I also think the courses were too spread apart, even after a 6 course dinner I left feeling I could eat more.
N. N.
A wonderful restaurant with delicious food and excellent, friendly service. Its Michelin star is well deserved. A place for a special treat.
M. R.
Birthday dinner, champagne on arrival as pre-arranged, the tasting menu with accompanying wines. The food was perfectly cooked and presented and the wines paired perfectly. The staff were warm friendly and attentive. The crowning moment was the delivery of the chocolates on a plate inscribed with Happy Birthday in chocolate. A fitting end to a lovely day.
I. M.
Nice place with good service and the food was lovely, only reason it's not a 5 star is the ambience is lacking. It could do with some music or something as we had a 7pm booking and it was quite silent for the first 45 mins until it filled up a little. But overall a good evening and worth a visit, will probably go back for Sunday lunch which looks pretty good.
R. B.
Definitely earned the Michelin rating! It was a quiet romantic setting. Best oysters I've ever had and the hazelnut chocolate desert was amazing.
C. L.
Utterly fantastic, from the purée pea and the amazing French butter to the divine chocolates at the end. The food is inventive and the flavors paired extremely well. The set menu is definitely worth it, and offers a great way to experience this lovely spot.
I will absolutely be back to nom again.
H. W.
Light bright restaurant near Kensington High Street, sister restaurant of Elystan Street. The tables are set well apart and the staff is friendly. Had a couple of starters including the mackerel and salad, delicious. They also have a set menu of 3 courses but please could you give an option of 2 or 3 courses as a lot of people don’t eat pudding especially at lunch.
S. T. H.
Enjoyed the good service and 3 course dinner meal. Very refined and sophisticated. Drinks were on the pricey side. Would definitely be back.
c. t.
Food is amazing with lovely wine...I don’t normally like peas but the snack with peas paste is really good..I chose the smoke eel as my appetiser and cod fish as the main ...both dishes are fantastic... the choux bun also tastes good but the portion is slightly big for one person
E. C.
We spent three weeks in London and ate at many high quality places. The best plate of food I had in England I had at Kitchen W8. Conveniently located near the Kensington HIgh Street tube stop, it's a cute little place where everyone greets you at the door. The food was incredibly creative and perfectly sauced. Portions are small enough to be just right; wine list and service were excellent. My only criticism was that the food was a trifle salty. Other than that, I would highly recommend Kitchen W8 - be sure to reserve - they fill up and it took me two or three times to get in. They are on Top Table too.
L. W.
Lovely stuff. Been there there times. Twice had the tasting menu. Never disappoints. Not pretentious. Great food
B. P.
We visited this Michelin star restaurant for my birthday and naturally had high expectations.
The night was kick-started with an amuse-bouche containing cod-cream with crisps and was delicious.
We decided on the following Entrees and Mains;
Entree:
- Orkney Scallops
- Roast Breast of Partridge
Main:
- Roast Cornish Brill with Iberico Pork Belly
- Slow Cooked Beef Ribs
Simply put, each dish was delectable with a sensational balance of flavour and texture. In addition, the serving size was reasonable.
Notwithstanding, the entrees in our opinion were the standout dishes of the night.
HOWEVER, for a fine-dining restaurant, especially one that is Michelin star, you would also expect flawless service, but I believe the service needs improvement because it was inconsistent and apart from the lady who brought us to our table and the waiter who served the amuse-bouche, the staff did not come across as friendly nor happy.
Barely a smile was afforded with food literally placed on our table without the effort of describing each dishes (we've been to a number of fine dining restaurants and this is meant to be the norm).
In addition, we had to wait quite a while before the dessert menu was brought to us and even LONGER before someone came to take our order - by then, we had lost interest in having dessert. Mind you, this was a Sunday night and the restaurant was not overly busy.
The food is at a Michelin star level, but a corresponding level of service needs to accompany it.
Overall, an average rating is the most appropriate review to give.
i. y.
Wonderful food. We enjoyed every bite. Service was professional and efficient. Wine was very good. We'll eat here every time we are in London
S. H.
Incredible price for what is a starred restaurant. Food was amazing and the effort put into each element of the plate is really shown. I saw they had a great lunch menu so will be trying that in the near future.
S. S.
Had a great week-day evening dinner from the set menu, all 6 dishes were tasty (the poached egg was incredibly good, somehow!) and tasty bread on the side arrived warm, very friendly staff and good environment for a couple.
K. J.
Apart from the stunning food it is also a very soothing place. Unlike many very noisy restaurants, the acoustics are beautiful. You can hear yourself think without having to shout over people. Unlike many restaurants which are just like a noisy school dinner hall
J. L.
Very creative food, well presented with service that is ready but not all over you. For folks who appreciate really good modern cooking. Worth the price for dinner and a real bargain for lunch.
G. B.
Fantastic restaurant that does a brilliant lunch that is great value. Service and cooking is top notch. Highly Recommended.
M. Z.
Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. We went for tasting venue which is lovely in terms of portion and taste. A little suggestion for dessert is to avoid repeating the same ingradient.
M. H.
A real gem of a place. Food is exceptionally good, just the right side of adventurous without being foolish. Decor is lovely and a good place for a tete-a-tete dinner. Staff were very pleasant and helped provide an really wonderful experience.
T. B.
Fab restaurant with attentive staff and quality food
C. E.
The food is always incredible!
A. C.
What a wonderful treat! Great value at £25 for 3 courses of this Michelin starred little gem, tucked away from Kensington High Street, it was a perfectly elegant dinner without the often stuffy atmosphere that comes with a place of this calibre. We had everything on offer on the set menu, and started with some complimentary salt cod crispy balls, breaded and fried to perfection. I then had an asparagus and mushroom risotto and a mackerel and beetroot painting of a starter. My main was a cod on olive oil mash and roasted onions and tomatoes, ad his was a rare sliced steak with aioli (his favourite dish of the night). Pudding we got the cheese, which came with wafer thin slices of their homemade bread and chutney, and mascerated strawberries and madeleines which were outstanding and definitely the star dish of the night! The strawberries tasted much much strawberry-er than I've ever know, with light hints of mint, which was so good with the crisp but light little madeleines. Right there I had my own proustian moment.
C. D.
Top quality restaurant managing to serve excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend the tasting menu to have the best experience of Michelin starred cuisine.
K. B.
Love the seasonal menus. I've never had a bad meal here. I come quite a bit on the weekdays for their set menu--best deal in the neighborhood.
D. A.
We did the 3 course £25 lunch menu. A busy Saturday, but lovely food to go with excellent service. Very good value.
N. S.
Tucked aswy just off Ken High Street with a choice of sooo many good eatries, there's a lot of competition and boy does this modern European restaurant sock it to 'em with beautifully presented dished just bursting with flavour and texture. This is well above par for the price (£70 per head) and whilst that might be a lot for some, if you're looking for really top class food with a lovely ambience, slick and competent service then look no further. Note than ALL SEWRVICE CHARGE is paid to the staff, nothing taken by the restaurant
E. H.
What a lovely restaurant! Had a family birthday here and thought the food was excellent. Not too noisy and the staff were very helpful and attentive.
A. M.
Excellent. Just came across this restaurant whilst out walking managed to get a table without a reservation. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly.
P. A.
Quiet restaurant with excellent value at lunch time
J. P. B.
Brilliant restaurant, very creative tasting menu.
S. W.
The set lunch menu is simply fantastic. Great value and simply outstanding food. Highly recommended, I can't wait to return.
M. R.
Delicious meal and nice wine pairings.

Food was creative but seemed to lack something. The deserts seemed to disappoint everybody. To be fair, I would have no problem returning and the food was prepared to a very high standard....but the service needs serious work.

A great Saturday brunch experience in Kensington. I had the set menu with the leek veloute, pork belly and creme brulee. The veloute and the creme brulee were both extraordinary. The pork belly was not as good as I would expect with the grapefruit being a bit too intense for me.

Casual place for a good hearty meal. Fantastic value-for-money set lunches. The light colours and tonnes of sunlight pouring into the place makes it a lovely place to dine for lunch.
M. K.
Food full of flavour and excellent service. Good value for money for Michelin starred restaurant

Excellent food, poor service. Sadly, the brilliant kitchen is being let down by friendly, but sloe and unprofessional staff.

(Translated) There is no pre-positioning, there is still a lot of seats in the dinner time, we have a beautiful night; the introduction and service of the waiter is very good for his price, the first time I eat rabbit meat, I feel full, the truffles are also made I relished it; the red wine introduced by the waiter was also very good, and the only fish dish made me disappointed.
The amount is small and the meal is very delicate.

(Translated) Michelin star delicious restaurant
The store is beautifully decorated, clean, and the interior lighting is good.
The food is very delicious in every dish. Lunch is lubch set menu. Although expensive, it is good value for money. Service staff are average

(Translated) I booked in advance but for some reason the booking was canceled. Despite this, the restaurant welcomed me and hosted me with no problems. The menu is varied, every dish and dish was good, with the right flavor and the right size (apart from the dessert which was a little too sweet for my taste). The waiters gave good service, sometimes a little less understood because of the accent. This is my first experience at a Michelin restaurant and I was expecting a little more special atmosphere. Anyway, the restaurant is close to the hotel and the experience was a great experience for closing my vacation in London! recommended!

(Translated) Fantastic food. Quite informal, yet white tablecloths and a Michelin star. A little nice room in Kensington. Great service and great tips for wine to suit the food. Pretty decent price in terms of quality and taste. We will be happy to return.

Fantastisk god mat. Ganske uformelt, men allikevel hvite duker og en Michelin stjerne. Lite fint lokale i Kensington. God service og gode tips for vin som passer til maten. Ganske grei pris med tanke på kvalitet og smak. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.
