Reviews of Koha Restaurant & Bar
H. Y. W.
We visited Cafe Koha Bar randomly and the reason was it was the only one of the few restaurants with available table on a Saturday night. The staff was friendly and attentive but just kind of slow.
Their menu wasn't in a great variety but pretty decent. We got their Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Rib-Eye Steak with port sauce with a hint of truffle. The portion was good enough to share with two of us with reasonable price.
The food was overall delicious, especially the steak, it was well-grilled, tender and perfect with the amazing truffle sauce. However, the duck breast could’ve been better, it was a little overcooked and tough to chew.
L. C. M.
Try the burger, you will not be disappointed!! One of the best burgers we have had in a long while. Lovely cocktails to die for. Aperol Spritz was the bomb.

I went to Cafe Koha on Saturday to celebrate my birthday. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We were a large group but this didn't seem to make any difference, the service was quick and the food was delicious with something to suit every appetite. The waiter was so attentive, took pictures for us and made sure we were all happy. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend

Delish! Baked octopus full of flavours and tucked just off the bustling street enough to hear the buzz of town without feeling overwhelmed by passers by. A real hidden gem with lovely friendly staff only too happy to make your experience enjoyable!
Also has enough indoor space and a snug downstairs for more intimate evenings.
G. A.
Pre Theatre meal at Koha, arrived half hour early but staff managed to seat me, all i can say is excellent food served by excellent staff, will be my first port of call next time in London
C. L.
Excellent cuisine.
The ambiance and location on the Brooklyn waterfront are stunning.
It's pricey, so save it for a special occasion. But it's oh-so-delicious and romantic!
Because I went for my anniversary, I also received a complimentary signature dessert!

What a brilliant restaurant and bar with excellent service and food.
We we were a large group of ladies that visited KOHA on a Saturday evening for food and drinks and it is very busy but the level of service was never compromised. Everyone got greeted with a smile and everyone working there is so polite and accommodating and the food was delicious. Will defiantly be coming back .
N. F.
I've eaten here twice in the last year and each time the food has been great, the staff friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect too, tucked away between two sets of stage doors.
T. F.
Pre theatre dinner here was fab: theburger was to die for. Loved the whole meal, great stuff.
M. C.
Tucked away in the heart of the West End, Koha has a vibrant atmosphere, with very welcoming and friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend the Koha we had pre show drinks and after show dinner and the food was great.
L. W.
Food: 5 out of 5 (the duck with potato rosti is incredible, the quality of ingredients and the cooking are simply wonderful)
Service: 3 out of 5
Overall: 4 out of 5

Delicious and honest Mediterranean food.
Ambiance is welcoming and clean.
Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their offer.
Location is the Centre of the universe.
Food is fresh and prepared to perfection.
I had a burger and it was the best burger I have ever had in London.
J. N.
Possibly the best restaurant between Soho and Covent Garden if not the W1 & W2 postcode.
Certainly the best food and drinks.
Very very attentive staff.
Always welcomed, a great mixture of guests, happy vibes all round.
Pre lockdown, post lockdown it's the place to be and be seen from open to close.
Saturday evenings these past few weeks have been beyond anything and anywhere else in central London.
Extra extra outdoor seating but most importantly the menu items and drink prices instead of hiked up like the rest of the UK still remain normal (bonus, they run the Monday to Wednesday 50% off food gvt scheme)
Marks out of ten... fifteen plus.
S. L.
Really friendly staff who are making your dinner even better. Food was really good, not to much whereby you will over eat yourself. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely go again when we are in London.
P. S.
Brilliant dinner experience at Koha. Lovely staff, very accommodating and friendly. Food was delicious and well presented.
D. O.
Loved the atmosphere. The food was good
M. S.
Excellent food, great service, decent menu. Definitely recommended, certainly for lunchtime menu. Will return to check out evening menu.
D. T.
I have been going to the Koha for years, and it has always been good, but it seems to have improved, and our meal on Tuesday evening was superb. Strongly recommended.
X. X.
Fresh and delicious food, excellence customer service and cozy atmosphere!
S.
Great food and service. Excellent location, just next to Leicester Square Station.
F.
Amazing food and super friendly service. The fries are crispy (which I love) and the cheesecake is phenomenal. Burger and Chicken Breast are great as well. The staff was polite and forthcoming. They were continuously carrying out chairs and tables as the weather got better. The location is away from mayor streets, making it a nice and quiet place. Would definitely recommend!

Popped in for a cocktail on the way home and the staff were very welcoming. Espresso Martini was nice and so was the Mojito. I had a beer, maybe next time we'll try the food.
K. G.
Lovely old style restaurant in the heart of the west end. Good food , efficient service and lovely friendly staff.
j. s.
Excellent, freshly cooked. Beautifully presented. Plenty of traffic free outdoor seating. A well kept secret.
g. s.
Amazing food and atmosphere.
Serve with the right touch.

We were hired to photograph an event at Koha Restaurant & Bar - really loved the atmosphere. Friendly staff, amazing food and drinks
O. K.
Amazing food from the starters to the dessert! Great service! The kitchen is open and you can see how they carefully prepare everything. It is a must!
O.
This has to be the best restaurant in west end theatre-land. Food is always fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. They also do some amazing cocktails if you just want to have a drink. I would definitely recommend it.
I. S.
Had truffle risotto and juice, the taste is
nice.
M. G.
Nice staff. Good choice of drinks. Stopped here for dessert and the chocolate moose was delightful. Had live music outside when we went which made night more enjoyable.
D. P.
Ended up there for lunch on a Saturday in December. We had no reservation, but they still had a table for us (I think we got the last table in the house). The table was tiny and the place was very packed with going to the bathroom involving asking a few people in the neighboring tables to move.
We got our starters very quickly but waited for our mains after that for about 55min. Place was busy sure, but that is still way to excessive. The staff was very nice, but sadly one could clearly see was not overly experienced. The burger was overcooked and the bun old and dry. My friend didn't have better luck with her meal either. Meh.
The cocktails were great, as well as the wine list. The server saw we weren't too happy about everything so they bought us a half-bottle of dessert wine as apology. They do 12.5% service charge which I would mind and take up with the server, given the service, if they hadn't bought us the wine. Good location and nice decor. Lots of potential, but something missing to make it great. Shame.

Lovely little bar tucked away behind busy Leicester Square. There was live jazz music being played outside across the courtyard which created a great atmosphere.

Very handy for Wyndham's theatre and Leicester Square tube station. Good ambience and OK food at cheap rate for London. Small portions of veg accompanied otherwise beautifully cooked large pork cutlet.
A. C.
Amazing food and service, it’s so rare to get such caring and attentive staff who genuinely want you to have a good experience and leave happy. We were in a rush to get to our show so the owner invited us back for pudding and wine on him afterwards, which we obviously did!
A little Covent Garden gem, will definitely be going back. Also, the best cheesecake I’ve ever had!!
C. G.
Very handy for Wyndham's theatre and Leicester Square tube station. Good ambience and OK food at cheap rate for London. Small portions of veg accompanied otherwise beautifully cooked large pork cutlet.
T. B.
Lovely bar, I didn't eat but my friends did and said it was ver good
M. G.
This is such a gem of a place. I have been coming here since the nineties and it has become a home from home for me and other close friends who have also frequented this establishment for years. It's so warm and cosy and the service in general (especially when they get to know you) is what really makes this so special. The food is normally great and you can also just come here for a drink. You often get stars coming in after a performance but the less people know about this the better - rubberneckers would spoil the ambiance!
M. M.
Nice restaurant & bar, just off Charing Cross road. A peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the West End crowds.
G. H.
I love this friendly restaurant and bar... An oasis of loveliness right by Leicester Square! Mainly theatre crowd, including the actors, which includes me! I go here every time in on town for a glass of wine and the friendliest welcome in London Had my fiftieth birthday party here... Love them!!
S. M.
Some of the best food I've tried in London's theatre land with nice wine selection.
Easy walk from Charing Cross & most of the main shows.
Good value & very friendly
G. B.
This little bar located in a small courtyard between two west end theatres is a welcoming place. Not only are the waiters polite they are very accommodating to whatever needs you may have. It is fairly priced for Central London and the outside space, recently expanded, is wonderful on a lovely sunny evening!! Even on a winters evening they give you a cosy blanket to keep you warm!
I would highly recommend going here for a drink if you are going to the theatre and the pre-theatre menu is very well priced at £13.99.
Overall a great place to hang out!!
E. W.
Visited this place today and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Fresh and very tasty food, reasonably priced in a nice and relaxing atmosphere. I definitely highly recommend it.
M. H.
Lovely place. Usual haunt of pre-theatre crowd. Eat when they've gone and have the service of Kings!
Oh, foods great too!
Pre-theatre menu great value and varies nicely with the seasons.
B. H.
Fine restaurant. We where there for a beer and a quick lunch during our citytrip. The quality of the food is excellent. This restaurant is in an alley, which means you can have a nice "quiet" meal in a very busy surrounding.
b. s.
the best possible place to be....the staff are just so lovely...whilst the theatres are closed they have the most amazing live music going on on Saturday nights...the food is awesome....go nowhere else in London.....
B. C.
Have eaten here a number of times now. The staff make me feel like an old friend, the venue is quiet and relaxed and the food is excellent, especially the burger and the corn fed chicken. Don't get me started on the naughty desserts :) 10/10
T. S.
Have to say it is a lovely restaurant, very quiet tonight which is a shame, but service and food was excellent at a great price for the heart of Leicester Square. Good menu with something for everyone. Will be back again next time I'm in london. Highly recommend you seek this restaurant out
H.
Great food, great service, great place.
M. M.
Excellent food and very customer focused staff.
I would definately recommend a visit.
It will be my go to spot when going to a West end show.
E. V.
Unique place in a great location, the food is amazing and a great choice of drinks, verry happy and friendly staff. I go here quite regularly and ive never been dissapointed, always got looked after well.
T. P. L.
Clean and cozy place, amazing food and service & the best selection of wines! Also you should definitely try their Trileqe - it’s just perfect!
L. V. P.
A little hard to find, even when the taxi drops you off at the alleyway populated by oodles of restaurants near the theaters . But do make the effort as it is well worth it. A very nice selection of land and sea set in a cozy, but not too tightly packed, environment with service that will attend to your every need. You can`t go wrong here.
J. W.
Good place for a drink and conversation near Leicester Square in the heart of the theatre area. You can get a seat here at 6:30pm whereas most other places are heaving until around 7:20pm.
R. C.
Good place, especially for pre-theatre as it doesn't get too busy, with wholesome food at a fair price, a good range of drinks, friendly and efficient service and a nice outside area.
a. B.
Nice drinks and friendly staff.
Cozy place and very clean.👍🙂
D. R.
Outstanding meal! Lamb was tender and flavorful. If vegetarian ask for the eleven o'clock menu - very accommodating to fit your preferences.
M. G. P.
Great service and staff, awesome food. Irish coffee was 👌
A. G.
I enjoyed a lot, the best of all the staff. I hope to come back as soon as possible
A. P.
Intimate service, great food, central but just off the beaten path, and flawless hospitality every day. This really is the perfect restaurant.
R. W.
Delicious food. Lovely helpful staff. Perfect for pre theatre or a whole evening!
A. C.
Beautiful little Mediterranean restaurant hidden from the main streets surround Liecester Square. Wine cellar bar downstairs is available for private hire, prefect for birthday parties and small private events.
E. G.
It's right next to Leicester Square and is normally not that busy. Comfortable seating, reasonably priced drinks and quite a nice atmosphere.
O.

A haven in the heart oftheatreland! Alibi is your friendly host and ima cooks wonderful European food at reasonable price.a gem!

Tasty food , outdated restaurant and not the greatest staff. Made mistakes in bill and add 12.5% service charge.
G. D.
Excellent environment, friendly service, great atmosphere, good food and affordable prices.Definitely hope to go back!

Great value for money pre-theatre venue. Have eaten here dozens of times and strongly recommend.
