Reviews of Kutir
F. A.
Very nice ambience, Very good and fast service, good interesting menu with fresh ingredients and generous portions, unfortunately disappointing taste... Very bland with no depth.. I come from a region very similar both in culture and food to the south and east Indian regions so very familiar with what Indian food should taste like ...
I think a little more work on taste authenticity and they can easily get 5 stars..

Outstanding indian restaurant with warm welcoming vibe.
Located in a townhouse the interior is stunning! Aloo tikki chaat was lip smacking with perfectly crispy tikkis. The paneer parcel is a must, if you are a paneer fanatic. Jackfruit koftas were quite unique and thoroughly delicious!
The alphanso cocktail was quite disappointing though the the food is the show stealer, easily compensating for it. The service was very warm and prompt!
K. M.
The experience was phenomenal. Special mention to the lamb. The Truffle Pulao and the Garlic Naan. The paneer was extremely soft and reminded me of home. Would highly recommend the place for some authentic fusion Indian.

We visited Kutir for their £25 set lunch menu and it was a delight. An excellent way to sample their Michelin Star worthy food for a wallet friendly price. The food was all delicious and excellent value for money. Portion sizes were generous and we left feeling well fed.
Our server was very polite and attentive. Service was quick and well paced between courses.
The atmosphere was cosy and intimate, especially at lunchtime as they weren't quite so busy.
I would return in a heartbeat and would recommend Kutir to anyone who loves trying flavourful high quality food!

Had a fantastic meal here on the first day of reopening in May. The staff were friendly, courteous and very attentive. We both ordered the Signature Expedition menu, and whilst it was a little more than we would ordinarily spend on a meal out, it was well worth it. We were blown away by the flavours, variety and consistency. Every course was perfectly sized - not too small nor overfacingly large, and each was so well crafted. It was really nice to have so much fish too, as I often fall into the trap of just ordering chicken or lamb at an Indian Restaurant. Would heartily recommend the expedition menu. As is to be expected from an upmarket restaurant like this, drinks are very expensive, but all were delicious and added to a fantastic evening. Very glad we visited and will be recommending to our friends

From the Christmas decorations to the food, Kutir was a 5 star experience. The service was top drawer, couldn't fault it. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu providing recommendations that suited our tastes. Cocktails were so good too. And although an obvious and extremely British item to order, the tikka masala is a must, with a rich, slightly spicy gravy and incredibly tender chicken. If you're in the area, it is well worth a visit!

The entrance is more discreet than most, as they open the door you're greeted with a well decorated, finished interior. The ambience is warm and welcoming. The acoustics did not bounce around the rooms too much. I like the uniform of the waiters. The carpet looks well kept. The outdoor space is nice until the sun has set and it gets a bit too chilly, the waiter checked to see if there were tables available for us to go inside.
It would have helped if the menu indicated which dishes were the spiciest for those who love spice, but might not be able to take too much heat! I ended up ordering the spiciest dish on the menu without knowing, luckily I was able to let them know just before they made it, so it took a bit longer but they were able to accommodate to my needs =)
The menu is not overly expensive, the flavour of ingredients match the price. Every dish is layered with flavour and well balanced. The staff are attentive. Thank you for a enjoyable meal.

Came for lunch on a weekend and what an absolute stellar choice that was! The dishes on the tasting menu were excellent! I was particularly impressed by the salmon and lamb dishes I had! Also, the tasting menu is far from the expected one mouthful per dish - I certainly got my money's worth and almost rolled out of the place!
Away from the food the interior is lovely, and feels relaxed and affable without feeling too casual for the price point.
The drinks were also to a high standard. I enjoyed the wine pairings with the menu and a gin/vermouth based cocktail with sweet basil was a real find!
My server Hasan was knowledgeable about the menu - both food and drink, and was incredibly considerate: he asked if we wanted to slow down the pace of the tasting menu as we had cocktails alongside our wine pairing. We declined but being considered like that really puts the finishing touches on the experience.
Excellent stuff, keep it up!

Kutir is tucked away on a little side street off of the King's Road in Chelsea. It looks like a little maisonette and neighbours peoples homes.
My partner surprised me with a meal here on Valentine's day 2019. We had an early dinner and were one of the first couples in the restaurant. There was only a set menu available for the night (althoight they kindly offered alternatives to accommodate our dietary requirements) and we had the table for 2 hours which was more than enough time. We weren't rushed at all.
The food was incredibly delicious and worth every penny. Drinks were also lush.
There was impeccable service throughout, with changes of crockery and cutlery between courses.
Thank you to Kutir for a perfect Valentine's evening. It is was the first I have ever had and it was amazing.

Set in a posh Chelsea townhouse, this restaurant is beautifully decorated and the ambience was great, not noisy at all. Food was incredibly flavoursome and plating was very classy! We had lamb chops, chicken chops and paneer makhni as starters. For mains we tried the guinea fowl biryani, jackfruit kofta and kaali dal with a bread basket. Portions size was decent to be shared. We could not resist trying the Falooda rabdi, mango lassi, nut-khat cocktail and Valrhona chocolate cake for cocktails and desserts! Overall a wonderful experience.
D. J.
A really phenomenal experience.
We had the signature tasting menu with wine pairings and thoroughly enjoyed each and every course. The tasting menu was only £70, and wine an additional £50, exceptionally well priced given the location and high quality of both food and service.
I would recommend Kutir to anyone, it's a wonderful experience and the food is to die for.
R. S.
Mains were excellent. Starters were average, same flavours. The biggest issue was with the service. It was rushed and we didn't have an opportunity to enjoy our meal fully, e.g. starters arrived before we finished our cocktails and mains arrived at the moment we finished starters. We were not able to enjoy the wine as a result and had to take away. Disappointing for the price point. In addition, it was very noisy where we were fist sat and we had to ask to be moved. Will not return

We went to have lunch and we got the Hunter menu, 5 dishes. The food was quite nice, kind of modern Indian, some of the dishes quite spicy but it’s expected of an Indian restaurant. The problem there was the service. The people were nice, but the wait was sooo long. If you’re doing a tasting menu you can’t take more than 20 min between dishes... If you see I’ve finished I don’t want to wait another 20 min for the next thing, by the second dish I wasn’t hungry anymore. For the dessert it was more like 40 minutes.
For that price I definitely wasn’t impressed by the service quality. Maybe if you don’t do menu it’s better, but the service kind of ruined the lunch for us quite a lot. Overrated

A very unique atmosphere as you walk into a house that is beautifully renovated into a restaurant.
We had our dinner in the sitting area 😊
So mostly you are in an area with another 2-3 tables around you. If you want a socializing restaurant it’s not the one you would go for.
The staff were very friendly and service was great.
Food was very tasty with a big selection.
Just a bit more spicy that I would like it but still very tasty. Fusion indian cuisine
Overall a great night out.
J. W.
The food is great but I would not recommend this for special occasions. Firstly, the service is not up to my expectation. We were hoping to invite parents for a special experience and ordered signature menu and hunter menu with respective wine pairing. The wine were wrongly delivered initially and nobody explained anything about the pairing. Fortunately the team requested a specialist to serve the wine finally. Second, it is very noisy and over crowded - perhaps because this is a busy Saturday evening.
A. P.
We absolutely feel in love with Kutir - not only were the staff so lovely & able to know what you need before you do, but the food was amazing! The decor is gorgeous and the atmosphere was really intimate & had a modern Indian feel to it. We will definitely be returning 😀
F. K.
Very elegant restaurant with lovely decor - particularly in the front part of the restaurant. Food is great, if perhaps a little on the spicy side to be described as genuinely authentic. Definitely worth a visit
G. V. S.
The food was lovely, and the waiter that looked after our table was incredible. However, the manager of this place was really rude, he threw the bill at us and asked us to leave. He didn’t even attempt to be polite about it.
I went here to celebrate my birthday, and he was unhappy about me getting a cake for it!! Which seems ridiculous. Would go again if management changes
A. B.
Wonderful place with Amazing food n staff..I have eaten all big restaurants in London but i can say it's Best..must try soft shell crab, Allepy sea bass and Madhosh cocktail Hats off
V.
Really nice cosy place, in beautiful location, with excellent service. Soft shell crab, biryani, chicken chop and black daal were fantastic. Desserts also very good - cassata tasted delicious and very Indian! Prices also not too bad given location (especially the set lunch) and generous portions. Highly recommended.
A.
So refined...delicate yet powerful in taste and texture...surpassed all expectations!
Z. L.
One of the best Indian experiences I’ve ever had. Roti and Abhi are sure to make you feel most welcome. The food served is based mainly around “revisited” classics and will definitely surprise and delight diners. They also have a beautiful private room upstairs, suitable for small lunches or dinners.
P. A.
Extremely tasty food, in a classy Kensington building. We had the lamb and potato cake from starters. They were both delicious, with the right amount of spice. Then the chicken masala with raita yogurt, which was an absolute delight. Clearly a signature dish for the restaurant!
The service was fantastic too. Definitely coming back for me there!
N.
Absolutely delicious Indian restaurant right by Sloane Square. The dishes are flavourful yet not overpowering, beautifully presented, and just the right serving size. The service here is impeccable, and the interior design is beautiful and transports you to Rajasthan. Highly recommend checking out this new restaurant!
J. J.
The best Indian Food I ever enjoyed - one of the best place for a dinner in London - my second time as the first visit in April 2019 - unbelievable stuff too and the drinks are amazing! Big big recommendation !
S. M.
Pre and team are absolutely the best! I went to Kutir for dinner with a client and I must say it was one of the best experience. The food was delicious. Every dish was part of the experience. Great hospitality makes it a 7* experience. Thanks Prem and rest of Kutir team.
Y. X.
Tried Kutir on their Day 8 in operations. Congrats on the grand opening - top food, cocktails, service and ambience. Great addition to the fancy Indian restaurant in town
A. N.
Very refined Indian food in a gorgeous setting.
We had the £25 lunch menu and every thing was divine. The chicken and salmon were perfectly cooked, soo tender.
The spices in the chicken and fish curry mains were perfectly well balanced , accompanied by a variety of naan , roti and basmati rice.
We will certainly be back again for dinner next time .
M. b.
Kutir hit all the right check marks for us . The ambience is enchanting and compliments the concept of the restaurant fabulously .
The food is not only plated beautifully but also tastes fabulous . The star dishes for me were the ceab and naan in starters , the kali dal (best I ever had) , paneer pockets - again amazing and the truffle biryani ! I don’t have much of a sweet tooth but i couldn’t refuse the dessert because of how beautifully it was plated and I wasn’t disappointed one bit. The kulfi and gujiya both were delicious . Coming back for sure !

We were a party of 4 and visited on a Friday for dinner service. Having built in some buffer time so as not to be late for our reservation we actually arrived about 20 minutes early. Not a problem. We were promptly seated at our table. The restaurant was fairly quiet at this time and the staff were very attentive. We were given some recommendations for cocktails and went with those. All the cocktails were winners and went down very well whilst we waited for our starters.
We chose to go for 6 starters. The lamb, chicken, salmon, dhokla, quail naan and tiger prawns. Again these did not disappoint with everything cooked, seasoned and spiced just right. The tiger prawns in particular were outstanding.
For the mains, we are usually loathed to go for the chicken tikka masala at any Indian joint, but on this occasion, we weren't feeling particularly adventurous and decided against trying the venison or the guinea fowl. To our surprise the tikka masala too had a unique flavour with a tangy kick and all of us absolutely loved it. Additionally, we went for the truffle pulao and lamb rogan josh (substitute for the lamb shank which wasn't available on the day). Again the subtle flavours of the pulao were amazing and the rogan josh which many other places get wrong was cooked just right.
By this time we were pretty full but couldn't resist getting 4 desserts to share. The Cassata and the Chocolate dessert were our favourites.
Its important to point out that by late evening the place was full, but we still received the same amount of attention and care from the service staff. (Wish we had gotten their names).
To top of an already great evening, we were lucky enough to meet the head chef Mr. Rohit Ghai. He was kind enough to spend a good 10 minutes with us talking about his background and all his ongoing projects (new openings, books etc.). His next eatery, Manthan is due to open in Mayfair in the coming weeks.
So on to Manthan it is then!!!
S. S.
Beautiful restaurant and service. Food wasn’t as amazing as I thought it would be, still very nice and price point was great. Overall a good experience, need to try more dishes next time. We had the fish, lamb and aloo tiki.
J. H.
Excellent Indian fine dining in a beautiful townhouse. We thoroughly enjoyed and shared several of the dishes.
N. B.
Delicious, spicy & perfectly cooked Indian food. Loved every single dish on the Signature tasting menu. Can’t wait to return!
C. C.
One of the best Indian gourmet experiences I've had. First of all, the place itself is lovely, the fact that the restaurant is in a little house makes it very cozy yet very elegant. Decor is very nice.
The service was amazing. We were lucky to be waited on by Lucas who was really perfect - very professional, friendly and always eager to make our evening enjoyable.
We started of with two of their well reviewed cocktails and were not desappointed!! Absolutely fantastic! I had the one with violet and gin (can't remember the name!) and my husband tried the one with active charcoal! Really tasty!
We then went for the full signature menu and wine pairing (it was our wedding anniversary after all!). The food was exquisite. Wines were really great too. The only thing I regret is that the service was a little too fast at the beginning (we hadn't even finished our cocktails that they had brought us the first dish along with the first wine.. a little frustrating!!). It was like that for the first 2 dishes, we even had to rush our drinks, until we asked our waiter to slow it down which he told the kitchen to do and all went well afterwards.
Maybe one thing that I would change in the signature Menu (and it is very unlikely for me to say that!!) is the quantity of food or amount of dishes : by the time our main courses arrived we were both almost full. And the food tasted soooo delicious, it was a pity not being fully able to appreciate the last dish and the desserts. In my opinion, the starter made out of a naan with egg and truffle was a bit too copious and could have been half as big or just a “bouchée” as to also let us skip one extra glass of wine. This is obviously just my opinion but we are usually big eaters and we were surprised not being able to finish our menu and our dessert wines.
All in all Kutir is a pure gem. Fantastic flavors, great service and lovely atmosphere! We can’t wait to go back and taste the menu a la Carte this time ;-)
Thank you again for a wonderful anniversary dinner !

The restaurant was full of people but the noise was absolutly silence, at the begining we met the rapresentative of the restaurant and she took our jacket after showing us our table. The enviroment and the relax feeling during the dinner gives you a feeling that you are in india. The waiter was amazing his name is Alex and gave us the best service we could get. For us it was really special we had the plasure to meet the Chef that did all the otentic delisious food.
Thank you all so much and of course we will sughest this restaurant to frieds and hopfully will book a table again soon!
S. J.
An elegant Indian restaurant that serves food in it's finest tradition with a twist of modernism! Loved the ambience, service and the most delicious food! ❤
v. g.
A small restaurant, off Bond street. Near Sloane square. We had dal, alu tikki, paneer masala, rice, rotis. Food is good, portions small. Quick service.
s.
The Lamb Black Cumin brought things down to an overall 3 star experince. It tasted below average, and for a price of £20 on Uber Eats that is not ok. It was two small (for the price) pieces, considering the cost relative to the size/quantity of the pieces, I'd recommend it comes with at least 3 pieces.
The Chicken Tikka Masala (£18) was quite nice.
L. S.
High end cuisine for a great price, top service! Warm, clean and modern! Best indian tastes I had (I had my share 😃) love it
A. G.
Such an elegant restaurant in both decor and service. Some of the best Indian food I have tried in London. The flavours and presentation of the dishes were spot on. An excellent experience.
J. B.
Fantastic menu and incredible flavours.
All ingredients on the dishes add to a distinct dish. Deliberate, delicious and beautiful.
A. R.
Absolutely amazing the food was delicious and the service was excellent great quality food and so very tasty. Can't wait to go again.
S. M.
I had booked non-veg and veg signature expeditions for my friend's 38th and must say, I am beyond thrilled by the staff's hospitality, the ambience, the classy decor and significantly, the delightful spread.
Also loved the complimentary chef's special (a version of brownie) beside the desserts already included in the set menu. The portions as I had imagined would be more than sufficient for the two of us and we went for ala carte champagne (by the glass) instead of the optional wine pairing suggested on the menu. Overall, a Sunday and a bday well spent :)
t.
Absolutely beautiful food. Four of us had the Expedition menu and every dish was stunning. Quentin's service was exceptional.
M. K.
HIDDEN LITTLE GEM,LOVELY DECOR, AMAZING FOOD, AMAZING ATMOSPHERE, GREAT SERVICE,
V. B.
We tried their vegetarian tasting menu (expedition) and it was truly delicious and a wonderful journey of flavors weve never had in indian food before. We particularly enjoyed the mushroom rice dish, which was memorable. ☺️ will definitely come back!
P. M.
This was our second visit to Kutir and the high expectations set after our first visit were well and truly met, if not exceeded.
We sat on the upper floor, which provides a really calm, sophisticated space, within which to experience the amazing food and exemplary service.
Chef Rohit Ghai, certainly doesn't shy away from adding flavour to his dishes and this certainly includes a much welcome kick of spice.
When the time comes Kutir will certainly be very deserving of its Michelin star! It's waited far too long for the fitting accolade.
Well done team and a special thanks to Sam and Vivienne, for making our visit so special!
P. U.
Came for a quick lunch by myself. The restaurant is really beautiful and clean, staff of friendly and the lamb was fantastic - very tasty.
Price was great too!
Z. S.
Excellent modern Indian restaurant- everything here is imaginative and high quality, from the look of the place to the menu, the food, the cocktails, the desserts. A real gem.
S. D.
Lovely ambience, friendly patient staff, nice food well presented, highlight is the variation of the mishti Dohi
K. K.
Simple menu n delicious food. We went for their “Expedition - Signature” tasting menu n it was lovely.
a. z.
Absolutely stunning place with traditional Indian fare with a modern twist. The service is of a high standard & the setting is perfect with a very instagramable interior for grammars looking for those all important likes lol. All in all if you are looking for a dinning experience with a tech of class but not out this is the place.
R. B.
The food and service was excellent! Aloo chat and soya apricot are not to be missed. The breads were excellent as well! Ambience was good as well.
I would like to go there again, though it would be exciting to see some new items on the menu if I was to go there more than 2-3 times (especially as a vegetarian since options are limited). I'd rate it 8.5 on 10.
Thanks for the lovely evening, Kutir!
S. W.
This restaurant has now become one of my favourite Indians to go to for authentic and fantastically crafted dishes. I discovered Kutir and decided to give it a try with my partner as the menu had a lot of interesting dishes such as guinea fowl biryani and venison curries, a lot of fish dishes.
I ordered the chicken tikka masala, saag aloo and thali daal and the portion sizes were just right. Dishes full of flavour and the highest quality curries I've ever tried. Staff were very courteous, attentive and very kind - we were not overwaited, it was very subtle.
When you enter into the restaurant, you'll be mesmerised by the charming decor - the wallpaper, chandelier and furnishings. A very cosy and intimate type of restaurant where you can enjoy good food in the comfort of a homely restaurant. Will visit again for special occassions and to try other dishes as I believe every dish on the menu tastes good. Good free parking options nearby after 6.30pm as the restaurant is hidden off Kings Road.
G. S.
The service was spotless. I tried most of the best Indian restaurants in London and Kutir is definitely the one you have to go. I had the chicken tikka masala, the best I had for a long time. Thanks to chef Rohit Ghai 👍🏻
M. G.
Fancy food and amazing place. We were invited for wedding lunch and was surprise by the food. Even tho the portions were tiny they were super tasty and filling! Staff is amazing too!
Z. M.
Fantastic and yummy food, I loved the character this spot has, and the workers were welcoming. Will definitely come back in the future.
C. G.
I eat here a lot since I work in the area. I must say their service is always great and they keep the place well organized consistently. Pricing is reasonable and they serve big portions.
A. G.
Went for a Father's Day lunch, the service was impeccable, the ambience of the place was excellent, and there were some truly exceptional and original Indian dishes, in particular I loved the Broccoli starter and the venison curry.
J. H.
Amazing experience, food was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
B. D.
Best Indian food I've tasted in the UK! Amazing subtle layers of spice, lovely surroundings and nor ridiculously expensive. Happy days...
N. A.
The ambiance was nice and the food was mostly very good.
C.
A hidden gem in my neighborhood, and great Indian food and drink list.
A. M.
Fabulous food and service great for gluten-free hope to be back soon!
H. S.
Location is beautiful and very romantic... Loved the interior.
Food is tasty but noting special.. It is pretty much same taste as typical Indian food you can try in any other mid range Indian place. although we had to have Valentine menu only and so did not have choice to chose and so the main menu could be better, and I can not comment. But overall good experience. A it over price for the food quality, But good price for location and experience. Portions are very very small
A. A. A.
In short this restaurant is one of the nicest Indian restaurants in London, the service and hospitality are adorable, prawns masala dish was the best
K. S.
Very good food and service with a serene ambiance. We as a group definitely enjoyed the appetizers more than the main courses. Would highly recommend the paneer starter as it was a hit within our table. All of us enjoyed our desserts as well and drinks.
Overall would recommend even though on the pricier side.
y. a.
great cozy place
the food delicious
J. J.
This was the best Indian food we've ever had. (And we've had a lot). Inventive and modern without being fussy or heavy-handed. Unbelievably delicious. Not to mention a gorgeous intimate environment with superb service. Wanting to book a flight back to London ASAP just to eat here again.
j. r.
simply outstanding will always come here when im in london
A. C.
One of the best fine dining experience in london. The food as well as ambience and service is fabulous and out of world. Had a wonderful time at this place with very classy interiors and flavoursome food which was presented wonderfully. The wine collection they have is great too. The chef here has created unique experience where even ordinary food items become unique with subtle flavours and amazing presentation.the staff is very helpful and courteous. I guess better to book a table in advance as weekends must be pretty busy here . Over all mighty happy .👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼Great work. Best dining experience

The Great: We attended during a weekday lunch service, the restaurant is small but a lot of thought has gone in to the decor of the two rooms, quite an intimate setting. I personally preferred the front room. We both loved all the starters and mains that we had. Attention to detail with lots of subtle complex flavours it was hard to fault.
The good: The Service standard is probably still work in progress, it wasn't bad at any point but it's certainly not polished. Mumbled descriptions of food and at time the service was slow. The drinks list is fair, it feels like a lot of thought has gone in to wine and whisky but not so much effort in to the rest of the menu. Desserts were fair.
However, the reason I give four stars is that during our sitting the restaurant co-mingled two groups of suppliers to Kutir in with other diners. These two groups were not only very loud but they materially lowered the tone of the restaurant. They were on mobile phones and were openly talking about their relationship with the restaurant (all quite unprofessional). One couple even asked to be seated at a different table due to the noise coming from one of these two groups.
In all a thoroughly great experience. The food was truly memorable, the decor great but the front of house need to pull their socks up. I'm sure that this will happen over time and Kutir will become a London institution. This is much more Gymkhana than Indian accent. Also a point to note is that the prices are very reasonable relative to the standard of cooking. We will definitely be returning.
S. A.
Excellent taste and most beautifully presented dishes. Flavors were exceptionally well balanced. A perfect treat for everyone. Choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Service is outstanding and you will be well looked after. I cant wait for another visit.
J. P. B. W.
Great food, very good service. The prawn masala was amazing!
F. D.
This place deserves a star - it’s definitely one of the best Indian fine dining restaurants in London!!
My favourite dish was the tandoori morels served with berries, pickled mushroom and lotus root crisps. I thought it’s was an unusual way to serve morel mushroom, and I enjoyed it so much!! 🤩It was spicy and had a nice meaty texture. Would definitely order it again when I visit Kutir next.
The salmon tandoori tikka, quail naan and sea bass with curry leaves and coconut were great too!
T. C.
Our experience here a few months ago was absolutely fantastic. The service & food were special and unique. I commented to my husband this was quite possibly the best indian food I had ever had.
J. N.
Absolutely great. Everything from the service to the food was fantastic. We shared the vegetarian and the regular signature tasting menu and couldn't decide which was better because they were both excellent. Our servers were extremely professional and attentive without being overbearing. This was the perfect spot for a special occasion dinner and the folks at Kutir did a great job taking care of us. As an aside, the bathrooms smelled amazing.
D. S.
An absolute treat! Very warm and friendly staff - the food is really really flavourful. Went there for a celebratory lunch and we were so happy with our decision to book Kutir. We went for the Hunters menu - which is a 4 course selection of game meats - all different flavour/spice combinations and wonderfully presented; and the Vegetarian tasting menu - which was also equally fantastic per feedback received. We were lucky enough to also meet the chef and congratulate him on such a fantastic establishment. Oh - we also shared a carafe of Californian Pinot Noir which was spectacular. Will definitely be heading back here soon. Thank God we finally have a great array if restaurants in London serving us superb Indian cuisine.
C. I.
Great atmosphere. Very cozy and really good food. Good service.
D. S.
An absolute delight of a restaurant. The service was on point - from the welcome at the door to the sommelier to the waiter, excellent on all fronts. As for the food, truly delicious. We had the set menu and our favourites were the pink prawns and stone bass- absolutely delicious. The actual restaurant itself is very quaint as well- somewhere truly special and one to remember!
R. M.
Salmon was brilliant and the ambience was good. Curries weren't that impressive though, a bit spicier than you'd expect and the drinks were underwhelming.
h. m.
Excellent food. Highly recommended. Second time here. This time I had festive tasting menu. Although I didn't catch his name the French gentleman who served us throughout the evening took great care and attention in making sure we were well looked after throughout the evening. Also special thanks to the chef owner who specifically came in to cook for us on his normal day off due to some dietary requirements we had.
D. R.
Outstanding, the food was amazing. The staff were so good, we turned up a little bit late and even so everyone was so accommodating. We had the tasting menu and matched wines and I can thoroughly recommend it, their take on Chicken Tikka Masala is superb. It was also outstanding value for money. I'm a posh curry convert!
E. C.
Fabulous service and atmosphere
Food incredible will be back again and again

Kutir was Amazing. The food is so creative, beautiful and a true adventure to your palette. The smoked cocktail was incredible and the service was first class. We enjoyed our dinner from the moment we stepped foot into the beautiful & exotic house, and left feeling extatic over the food and the anniversary dessert they gave us, on the house (when I made the reservation I stated we were celebrating our anniversary). An unforgettable and special experience!

Place is brilliant. There was the 3 of us. When we got starters to share they made sure it didn’t come in 4 or 5 pieces. It showed attention to detail. Food was on point.

My experience at Kutir is hands down the most exquisite Indian meal I've had. The detailing provides an incredible experience from it's intimate surrounding in Chelsea where you knock on the door to get in and are greeted by a beautifully presented restaurant and dining area - it's certainly a tucked away special occasion sort of place. As for the food, we went for the Expedition menu as we wanted to try everything and the price was unbelievably good for the ingredients offering. Stand out dishes were seafood; the juicy prawns well flavoured and with the exotic crunch of coconut and the gently spiced melt in the mouth salmon - which is unlike any salmon I've eaten. It was well paired with some exotic cocktails and an indulgent chocolate banana dessert where the bitterness of the chocolate was perfectly married with the sweetness of the banana. Service was just right and all in all Kutir provided a highly memorable experience that I'll be making sure to take my friends and family to also enjoy!

We can't recommend Kutir enough. Truly an exquisite building, restaurant and concept. Not only is this the best Indian restaurant in London, it is one of the best we've been to worldwide. Wether you do a tasting menu or order independent dishes, you will leave very satisfied. They are presented beautifully just as the entire ambience is as well. Great wine choices and some of the best chai I've had. Chef Rohit combines flavors in a way that elevates every dish to an entirely new experience. Plenty of choices for every dietary restriction or need. The entire staff is impeccable and proper. They truly know how to provide an exceptional dining experience. I recommend reservations. You will not regret making a point to eat here.

Excellent service and food. I’ve dined at a few “fine dining” places in my time and this place is definitely up there with some of my best experiences. They told us they don’t consider themselves fine dining but the food and service say other wise.
I had the “expedition” taster menu and each course was delicious. Complimentary glass of rose’ was a nice touch, the service was excellent, and the staff friendly.
Don’t worry about portion sizes either; I have never been so full in my entire life.

One of the best fine dining restaurants in London!
I am a big fan of Indian cuisine and I love trying out new Indian restaurants.
I came across chef Rohit Ghai after dining at Jamavar which was an extraordinary experience. When I found out that he opened his new restaurant, Kutir I knew it wouldn't disappoint and it definitely exceeded my expectations.
We had a Weekender Special and it was just incredible! Every single dish was an absolute masterpiece. Loved the decor and service as well! Well done Kutir team!

Came here for lunch on a Sunday in early February. Although was tempting to go for tasting menu we went for the set lunch menu and weren't disappointed. Almost all courses served to my partner and I were top drawer, save for the sea bass kokum which was nice but less interesting. Starters were particularly excellent and the deserts. Great value and an all round very pleasant dining experience.

Excellent food, it is Indian gurney food, each dish carefully prepared.

Attention to detail is what sets Kutir apart. It provides tranquil, sophisticated surroundings, and attentive, sweet natured service. The menu is also markedly different from the norm.
The kitchen excels in elevating the Indian cuisine with solid technique and superlative ingredients.
The creamy and exceedingly juicy lamb chops with a hint of black cumin melt in your mouth. Every dish is thoughtfully composed and highlights only products of top quality.
Finding the best starters, mains and desserts all under one roof in London has been unachievable previously, but Kutir raises them to new heights by putting its own spin on them. And beyond all that, service is on-point.
The decor is subtle but opulent with hand mounted Swarovski crystals along the bar to the fabric panelled walls and designer printed wall paper.
Kutir is by far the only place to be for Indian cuisine in London.
G. S.
The service was spotless. I tried most of the best Indian restaurants in London and Kutir is definitely the one you have to go. I had the chicken tikka masala, the best I had for a long time. Thanks to chef Rohit Ghai 👍🏻

When Chef Rohit Ghai decides to start his own restaurant you know you’re in for a delectable treat. Kutir was way more than that and surpassed all my lofty expectations. The food was of supremely delicious and had a homemade touch to it. Loved every delightful morsel. Service was outstanding to say the least. The ambience was buzzing and the restaurant beautiful.

I took a special friend here who is vegetarian we both had the vegetarian tasting menu, and i have to say in the words of my friend that the meal was a journey above expectations. Service amazing. Food to die for, cocktails lavish and the way they made an evenig so special is 10 out of 10

Everything was great. I might want a bit more of a char on the lamb chops but still the flavour and tenderness were on point.
K. S.
Wonderful food, excellent service and a very sophisticated and luxurious atmosphere. A real treat for my birthday.

I love how you feel like you walk into an apartment! We went for lunch , and decided to order a la carte. My favorite dish was the morel appetizer, but everything was great. Our server, Hassan could not have been more helpful. We will go back for the tasting menu.
G. S.
Exceptional Place and heavenly food!! We were completely baffled with the taste , flavours and the presentation. Being a vegeterain, loved Paneer Makkai and Brocolli -Khasta in sides. In mains, Truffle Mushroom Khichadi and Kutir Kali Dal is palatable . I would recommend all Indian food lovers must visit this exclusive fine dining.
S. K.
I have been a fan on Rohit Ghai's work for a while. Being of south asian heritage it is veyr hard to find good A la Carte places that showcase the rich diversity of our od but with a modern way without compromising on taste.
Kutir its intimate, welcoming and grounded with regards to ambience and service. The menu was well put together and was hard to choose from as everything looks balanced and tempting.
I would defintiely go back again. However there is one thngs that could be added and that is for the Chef or the Head chef come out to greet the diners. that would add to the intimate feel fo the place and it would really feel like the host invited you to thier home for dinner. well done to your new solo adventure and i am sure there is more to come from you in the future.
