This deli has such lovely staff. There's a gorgeous Portuguese guy, he's always wearing a cap and he's the nicest guy I've ever met. The coffee is great too.

first coffee (flat white) since lockdown and it was amazing. i have not tried the ethical addiction brand before, it’s now one of my faves! def going back for MORE! 🤤oh and staff were super friendly.

I go here almost every day sometimes even twice! Best prices and quality on things like cold meats and cheeses, as well as the only place to get a decent baguette! As a Frenchy myself, I can safely say its fantastic food and drink. The staff here is the friendliest in London and the outdoor seating is really special when it's sunny, sitting outside with a coffee and a pastry or a sandwich.

The family is in Lower Clapton and with Covid restrictions they couldn't make it home (Vancouver, BC) for the holidays, I wanted to get them a gift and messaged Rémy at L'Epicerie, not only were they incredibly helpful in organizing gift vouchers, they also put together a lovely hamper. Lovely team & fantastic service. Great selection of cheeses and they recommended which relishes & crackers would work best. Amazing Truffle cheese & also a must try is their on tap red wine. Highly recommend!

I love this shop! Should be more of those little shops rather than large corporations supermarkets. Some people think the shop is too pricey, actually the expensive products are the speciality products, the kind you buy for a special treat/occasion...all the other regular products are the same or cheaper priced than the next door shops.

I unfortunately have to agree with the comments about the customer service, which is at best indifferent. Changes in staff don't seem to make any difference to that attitude. Maybe being offhand to customers is a condition of recruitment. Otherwise, the shop stocks a good range of select products that it's great to have in the area, although I have only tended to go there over the years to get certain items or one-off purchases.
