Reviews of La Ferme London

Local authentic French cuisine!!! Five stars for the fresh and delicious food 👍 Recommend foie gras, beef tartar and the duck confit!!! Please go here too if you love real French wines
K. D.
The atmosphere was lovely. We sat outside on a summer’s evening. The staff was friendly but a bit forgetful. I enjoyed the lemon touch in the mash. Oysters were fresh and the crème brûlée beautifully crisp top and deliciously decadent cream waiting underneath.
C. F.
Absolutely brilliant French restaurant - a hidden gem in Primrose Hill village. Every dish we had was superb - the epitome of French cooking: fresh, delicious ingredients incredibly well executed and beautifully served. My partner and I visited for dinner on a recent Thursday evening. The staff were welcoming and the service was terrific. The dining room is beautiful - very comfortable with a cozy ambiance. Truly delicious and memorable dinner experience on offer at La Ferme - highly recommend.
B.
Such a cozy place with tasty food, good wine selection, and last but not the least friendly and welcoming staff.
We had a wonderful evening, thanks so much.
D. N.
First rate local French restaurant. Welcoming staff and well executed dishes. A great gem, especially for a special occasion.
S. M.
Amazing experience, the food was excellent, the service felt like we were in a little restaurant in France. Davide, the chef, along with the rest of the staff provided a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all of us!
We will definitely come back soon!
A. K.
Little French gem. Food was divine and so was the service 👌
D. O.
I had an amazing evening at La Ferme, from the Service to the food and ambiance, I truly enjoyed my time there! Thanks to our lovely waiter who suggested to get the Cuvèe Blanch to drink at home! It was delicious! will definitely be back.
S.
Lovely staff, lovely food. We didn't have a reservation, but they managed to squeeze us in on a warm evening. The bartender was so nice to us. Good quality food and wine. Great spot!

My favourite French restaurant and Champagne lounge located in lovely Primrose Hill!
Love the food, wine list and atmosphere!
A restaurant with a hidden gem of a champagne lounge upstairs, and I have frequently visited for brunch, lunch and dinner throughout 2018; and it never disappoints!
I recently booked for the 7 course special New Year’s Eve event they organised for myself and my in-laws.
The evening was beyond AMAZING! We had a glass of Champagne Deutz on arrival in the champagne lounge upstairs, followed by a wonderful 7 course dinner with matching wines throughout the evening. The restaurant was beautifully decorated (even more so than normal) to set the scene for the celebration .
The staff was brilliant, attentive, and made us feel incredible spoilt throughout the evening, and a 4 piece jazz band played us in to the new year! This was the most amazing New Year’s Eve celebration we have had, and a brilliant start to the new year!
We will certainly be back!

One of our favourite restaurants in London - the food and service have been consistently amazing throughout our visits, and the terrace is lovely for the warmer days. Innovative, fresh and delicious food guaranteed here, for a reasonable price (£15/20 market menu for 2 or 3 dishes, £39 Chef Menu with 5 dishes) with a great wine list too. And probably the best bread we’ve ever had in London!
E. S. P.
Such a lovely French restaurant in Primrose Hill! We stopped by for some drinks and nibbles - everything was perfect! Staff was smiling & kind, paying great attention to details! Drinks were delicious and service quick. We did not order food but saw some amazing dishes coming out of the kitchen 🙈...another visit is definitely needed here! We'll certainly be back and cannot recommend it more!

I thought this restaurant only opened on 20th February 2018, so I'm not sure where all these reviews are from. Also Google mentions that it's a Tuscan restaurant, when it's 100% French cuisine. Nevertheless, I loved my visit to La Ferme in Primrose Hill.
There are 3 different menus to choose from for different budgets and occassions:
1. Menu du Ferme - small plates of classic French fair priced reasonably between £2 - £17 (for a sharing platter) - great to nibble on with a bottle or two.
2. Menu du Marché - a 3-course set menu that changes daily, depending on what's good in the market and what's in season and is mainly French classics and crowd pleasers.
3. Menu du Chef - is a 5-course fine dining menu priced at £39. The dishes are more unusual, but are well balanced and the quality of the produce is evident.
You can probably tell I had a bit from each one, but didn't regret it. They also have a great wine selection and a small upstairs champagne bar with low couches to lie on while sipping on a champagne aperitif.

Absolutely incredible food. I had the rabbit leg and not normally a fan of rabbit, I had to restrain myself from licking the plate. We had the 3 courses for £20 which included a cocktail and was insane value. The service was incredibly attentive once they got going. It was very busy and they were trying so hard to look after everyone it did take us a little while to get started, but once they did, the service was absolutely IMPECCABLE. Nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely LOVED this place and as locals, I can foresee this place becoming a local haunt for us. Just shush...don't tell too many people...

Food is INCREDIBLE! I couldn't get enough. I went for brunch and had their breakfast burrata and it was fantastic! Highly recommended
E. M.
Really nice cheese board selection and a great choice of wines. Lovely atmosphere along with great service
A. F.
Great quality french food in good portions. Vibe is amazing, staff very cool and classy, very decent price
Must go

Nice quiet and quite hidden spot in Primrose Hill. Great atmosphere (quiet), lovely staff - "nothing is a hassle" attitude , delicious food. Highly recommended 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

I like this place! They prepare high quality meals, their menu is varied, The cook in that spot is a specialist, I like very much tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always good, the service towards the customers is very good too. I go often to this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend it to all my friends.
A. P.
The food and atmosphere were great, however the portions are too small for the price offered, service is poor too…
E. S.
Excellent food and service 😍 And the champagne bar oppstairs was so cozy.
O. A.
I'd planned to go between lockdowns but never got round to it, so I decided to order one of their "Home Dining Kits" this past weekend and it was all very delicious. Very much looking forward to going for a meal in person when we're allowed out. Would definitely recommend!
A. B.
This is a superb restaurant, offering genuine French food at very reasonable prices for the area. Superb steak and creme brûlée....The service is extremely friendly, and the décor extremely tasteful and elegant. There is much competition in this area, but this restaurant holds its own in style! A very good selection of wine, and the house red (which we tried) was very good. Highly recommended!
R. H.
Great service. They are polite and attentive. Small but good menu. I had cod, prawns and aioli with veggies. If you have special requests they will try to fullfill them (e.g with seating outdoors in summer).
Indoor and outdoor seating. Wine is a bit on the pricier end - they have looked to source french wines from selected wineries. I recommend visiting if you're in primrose hill
P. F.
Nice location, with outdoor sit, drink are not worth the price, poor presentation on cocktails.
Food was nice but portion very small.
I. R.
Local French restaurant that I think is as exquisite as La Gavroche ! I’ve trained as a chef in Paris; and I’m very picky with my food. But La Ferme is simply 100%! The food is always an experience to the eyes and an explosion of taste and texture in the mouth.... Service is impeccable! Love going there; super recommend it.
L. W.
Simply beautiful food and amazing staff. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Highlight off my visit to London
P. K.
Awesome and delightful food, I loved the character the place has, and the workers were very nice. I will definitely eat here again.
F. L.
Really nice eggs Benedict, very French coffee taste, polite and friendly staff.
.... and the French toast.... Mmmmm!
E. J.
Lovely French restaurant (Google’s Tuscan descriptor is wrong) with delicious food and a warm welcome. The waiting staff clearly care deeply about their food and that food was truly delicious, to the extent that we commented at the end of the meal that even if we’d ordered a food we didn’t usually like, we thought it would’ve still been delicious here. Good food, good service, I’d be proud to recommend this to any of my friends.
E. J.
Lovely French wine bar with small plates and cheese. Good wine list, great for people watching!!
v. t.
Brilliant restaurant - food was succulent - service great. We will be back. Thank you.

We had an amazing experience at La Ferme London, Le menu du chef is amazing, stunning!
Food and wine pairing, from the starter to the desert it was delightful. The personal is smiling and very pleasant, I highly recommend this place, so far I didn't eat like this in London.
L. v. H.
Perfect location. The food is tremendous with a creative twist. All is great to spend a day at la Fermay!
S. J.
Loved everything about the place. The champagne bar upstairs for a chilled pre dinner glass of fizz. The food was beautiful, delicate with wonderful flavour. Service was friendly and helpful with matched wines suggested that were great.
C. F.
Had the nicest brunch at La Ferme today, amazing terrace, and friendly staff, but the star of the show is definitely the food. Will 100% be back!!
T. I. V.
Great wines, if a little expensive. The bar is an outlet of the Avignonesi vineyard in Tuscany so has a big focus on their wines; but they also offer a number of very interesting other Italian wines. There is a small restaurant attached to the bar which serves simple but delicious food. Only downside is that the menu is quite extensive for such a small restaurant; I prefer a simpler more concise menu myself.
J. W.
Amazing food, great staff, dog friendly
A. G.
Wonderful on all levels, food was amazing and beautifully presented, a favourite place to eat and drink by far! Run in a sophisticated and understated way with knowledge shared on food and wine with great expert advice and service. Will be back very, very soon!
j. k.
Truly great addition to Primrose Hill. Very good food at very good prices, set in a simple but welcoming environment. Menu changes regularly and is backed up by a decent wine list. Above all, staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
J. B.
Great food and wine.
J. D.
My ever wish local wine bar. I leave close yet too far to have it as a local. Set up like a Disneyland for an Indiana's Jones' of fine Italian wines don't be too scared! Staff is cool and you can taste beforehand. Sit and relax. Ask the staff about food first. Its good but there is even better deals if you poke them.
C. C.
Good quality food, nicely presented and warm ambience, but the portions are really small. We ordered a three-course meal with sides, and left hungry! At £25 a head excl drinks this left a bit of a bitter taste...
T. Ď.
Absolutely wonderful and delicious food, lovely staff and atmosphere. Everything on the menu is worth trying and the lavender crème brûlée is the best thing I've tried in a while.
A. C.
Lovely place for a cheeky afternoon glass of wine and some plates of cheese and meat to nibble on. Really enjoyed our time here. It is friendly, small and intimate place. Would definitely return!
D. P.
Amazing restaurant with fine plats, every time I spend a good experience of flavours and taste. Their ingredients are genuine and full of history! Recommended to everyone
M. B.
What a wonderful surprise. Highly recommend the onion soup - definitely not what you've had in the past, much more sophisticated. All the food is a step up, even the green salad. Great service as well.
B. M.
A piece of Italy transplanted to North London. A wine bar first with food second. Excellent selection of fine Italiant wine, most from the vineyard who owns the restaurant. Most staff is Italian given the full experience. Simple pastas and appetizers compliment the wine. On hot summer days the Aperol Spritz is medical grade awesome drowning in life saving cold refreshment.
W. M.
This warm, cave-like Italian restaurant has become a secret celebrity in the Primrose Hill neighborhood. Much like the neighborhood itself, Negozio Classica is pretty enough to look at but is even more appealing than it appears on the surface. There are only 10 or so things to eat -- all simple, superbly cooked Italian food. Go for the "Pasta of the Day" whatever it is. The wine is the real star here, because Negozio Classica is run by the people who own Tuscany's Avignonesi estate (makers of Montepulciano Vino Nobile). So there is the full range of Avignonesi wines (difficult to find anywhere else in London other than the Notting Hill sister shop) as well as a handpicked selection of all-Italian wines that ordinarily you could only drink if you brought it back in your suitcase from some trip to a Tuscan vineyard. Really this is a wine bar with a simple restaurant attached. But it's nice to have the choices be brief on the food side, and more challenging on the wine side, knowing that whatever you choose will probably be good. Friendly staff who recognise all the neighborhood regulars.

Food is super nice, service is great and the restaurant is cute w/ great environment

Very poncy. Not great really. Had a very slimy croque madame. 10 quid plus service!
My daughter liked her mini burgers. She is a teenager.

My go-to wine bar in my neighbourhood. During summer, don't miss the Aperol Spritz! Sit on the patio and enjoy the sunshine (when it does make an appearance). During the week between 5 & 7pm enjoy the Aperativo complements of the chef! Cin-cin!
J. J.
