Reviews of La Patagonia

If you’re a meat lover, this is the best restaurant in town. The meat is always spot on with perfect cuts. I’d recommend the vacío with chips 🤤. They also serve (per request) authentic polvorone cheese from Argentina which is mouth watering with the meat.
The place is run by a lovely Argentinian family and the smell, colours, pictures, music even the service transport you straight to the heart of Argentina. Please do not miss the Tiramisu as a dessert. The best dessert I ever had and I’m not exaggerating. I’m genuinely not exaggerating 🤯

* Dog friendly * Wow! We were looking for something more traditional and we found it. If you like meat bursting with flavour this is the place. The server guided us through a traditional Argentinian Sunday meal and it did not disappoint. So flavoursome. Intriguing and tasty. Can't wait to visit again. AND they brought out a treat for my dog so he was very happy too.
이. L.
The best steak restaurant in London!! You can feel the charcoal smell from the meat. Staffs are super friendly and the atmosphere is nice!
a. l.
That sirloin….. oh my…. If I close my eyes I can still taste it. I am a meat lover so when someone suggested this place i decided to give it a try. Didn’t disappoint! The meat was amazing, perfectly cooked (ordered medium-rare and thats exactly what I got), tasty. The peppercorn sauce a must, I ended up digging into it with bread, fries…. I would have probably drunk it 😂 Our waiter was super friendly, accommodating and he gave us good advise. The panqueque with dulce de leche delightful. I would recommend it and will definitely be back.

Excellent Argentine meat in London
I went for diner and did asked for starters and then parrillada with provoleta... the meat it's top notch cooked on wood oven, it's done perfcectly, taste crazy good, I can truly say that's better food quality and attention than other super expensive steak restaurants in the city, all the members in the restaurant are super friendly and makes you stay super confortable enjoying the awesome food.
Price it's fair.
120% recommended.
I will back for sure!

Best restaurant in London. Great REAL meat and wine. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you want to spend your evening somewhere you won't regret, book a table and go enjoy La Patagonia. Best part, the owner is who cooks the meat. He takes care it is 100% perfect with his own hands. Bravo.
S. R.
Nicely cooked steak and sweetmeats. Shame about the chips. Chef must have put them in the oil too early as they were soaked through. But it's a minor. On the whole everything was great! Would go back.
F. C.
Great customer service! All the staff was very nice and the asado was veeery tasty! Big portion, we had to take some home. Highly recommended!!
p.
Good food and good service. The empanadas were delicious! I had the lamb which was good, it’s bbq so not going to be super tender but it was very tasty! Wine and cocktail choices also good
D. M.
The melted cheese starter with bread was amazing. The meat is always good here.
F. A.
Incredible food taste. If your want to know Argentinian meat you need to go to La Patagonia.
Really nice staff, cooker is the best. I'm definitely coming back.
l.
Simple, delicious, uncomplicated Argentinian food. Great atmosphere and if you enjoy steak with red wine you will be in heaven! The quality of the meat here is excellent. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Good value too
A. C.
Great food, great atmosphere and wonderful people. We'll come back!
R. J.
Love love love this place. Joined a few friends for dinner, and could instantly tell upon arriving that this was a winner.
Very little to dislike about La Patagonia. Service and staff were excellent (something that isn't easy to find in the UK..), and the food was wonderful. I underestimated the portion size and thus overate, but left feeling completely satisfied.
Can't wait to go back and try some more options! Looking forward to my return already.

*This is a lunch review*
My partner and I arrived at 1:40 for a lunch out. The lunch specials are an excellent price (£10 for a solid meal) and the food is very good. The beef is the star attraction here; order some with a glass of the house Mendoza malbec.
The only mar on the experience was the service. The restaurant closes at 3 PM to prepare for dinner service. When we arrived there were a few other customers finishing their meals. It took a while before we could make our order, and the food, while excellent, took a while to arrive. By 2:30 we were the only customers in the restaurant and the server was pacing back and forth, often glancing at our plates to see if we were done yet. While I understand the desire to close and prep for the next service, we still had ample time before 3 and felt rushed and unwelcome for the end of our meal.
I will definitely give this restaurant another chance. I hope my next experience is better.
L. R. J.
Very good food. Great place for a nice dinner.

The best place to eat Argentinian food (or any food) in London... Also the UK.
I have had a mix grill with a very posh friend. He Was not convinced to come at all and he was eating closing his eyes to enjoy it deeply.
He has been recommending this restaurant to everybody he knows...
Love this 'hidden gem'.
Best empanadas and grill ever!
C. D. S.
AMAZING!!! This is real traditional argentinean food. The beef is top quality, unlike anything I've tried in Britain before. The recipes are authentic and so well done.
It is also dog friendly and the people are really nice. Loved it.
B. S.
Heaven for meat eaters. We came with a couple of friends for dinner. Patagonia offers a complete Argentine menu, meats or vegetables from the grill, hand made fresh pasta, empanadas etc.
We've ordered a selection of prime grilled meat cuts - Parrillada Pampa and a few side dishes. All cooked to perfection. A bit of a warning though, the food is so delicious that you easily end up overeating!
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Efficient service but not too in your face, just the way I like it.
Prices, for London are also very reasonable. With some drinks we've paid about £33 per person.
To sum up, I'd well recommend it, definitely will come back when next time fancy flavoursome parrilla 👍
C. P.
Nice Argentine restaurant, staff was very kindly also the grill chef "Asador" was very friendly
●Very high quality of the raw material.
The meat was juicy soft and tasted nice.
If you are meat lover or you want to spend a romantic dinner with your partner you should go there..
L. R.
Went for my 2 year wedding anniversary as my husband is half argentine and the food was great really authentic the atmosphere and the staff was great too definitely going back for more 😋
G. B.
Great food. We had the weekend deal menu so the prices were very reasonable.
The grilled meat was very well done. And of the highest quality.
N. N.
First time here. Lovely atmosphere and great food especially for steak fans. Had the beef/chicken empanandas for starters, followed by sirloin steak, chicken with chili, salad, chips all really tasty. Felt well looked after by the staff. We'll be back soon!
s. f.
Turned up without a booking and were greeted by the most welcoming staff. They went out of their way to accommodate us on a busy Friday night. The food was delicious, I cannot wait to go back again and again to work my way through their menu! I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
S. W.
Amazing food, very reasonable prices. The pictures are of rump steak (with fried egg) and beef skirt. Cooked to perfection.
Service is also excellent, very professional and courteous.
Good selection of food and drinks on the menu, really worth checking out. If you're in doubt, try it; you won't be disappointed!
h.
I went for 'Chef Coco's Lunch Specials' (all £8.95) GREAT value for money and the portion sizes are very filling. However, without adding the peppercorn sauce many of the dishes can be really dry. Order the 'Carne a la Parrilla' it's really good. Service when it's busy is really slow and slightly disappointing BUT the food is good, it's a small cosy space.
B. P.
A taste of Argentina smack in the middle of Camden! I was craving all the goodies I had whilst I was visiting Argentina and this parilla really brought me back.
Incredible wine (just the house malbec will blow you away - get the pingüino - a beautiful penguin carafe that will regurgitate wine for you all night long...until it's your turn!) and delicious local food!
Vegetarians need not fear - there's food for us too! We started with a selection of starters : the cold aubergine was full of flavour, most notably herbs and garlic and sits wonderfully with the bread it comes with. We also got a provoleta, a lovely hunk of ooeey gooey melted cheese in a deep dish topped with herbs and onions - guaranteed to make you all ooeey gooey down there afterwards  Then you add the provoleta to the aubergine on a mini openfaced sandwich and your jaw will DROP!
Empanadas had the loveliest pastry - crispy on the edges with a bit of a chew in the middle while still being nice and thin. Finally we got a pasta to share - pasta sorrentino mozzarella (aka ravioli filled with cheese) with fileto sauce (aka tomato sauce). As an Italian, I though this was just OK, especially since some bits of the pasta were a little dry and seemed undercooked or as if they stuck together during cooking, but still a tasty dish overall.
We finished off the meal with a need for dulce de leche so a panqueue (pancake willed with dulce de leche with ice cream on the side) was needed... as well as a good old alfajor - a classic Argentine biscuit sandwich with the national spread (dulce de leche) in the middle.
Definitely coming back next time I need my fix!
W. M.
Cosy little Argentinian restaurant with delicious food - from the aubergine starter to the beef and peppercorns that I had, it was all delicious - the meat beautiful and tender with so much flavor from a great sear. (The freshly warmed bread was equally amazing). My friend had a sirloin that looked very good too, which is what I'll try next time. Looking forward to going back!
b.
Best steak i ever had. Service was great, food fantastic. Smell authentic and we just felt as in paradise. Definitely recommended.
J. A.
La Patagonia is a wonderful place in Camden, reminded me of traditional Argentinian barbecue, we order the Parrilla that has a little bit of everything, pork, beef, sausages, black pudding, argentinian style sausage, and was more tha enough for two people, smokey quality meats, oaired with a delicois argentinina traditional Malbec. Great place !
R. R.
I went there with a few friends so they could have their first argentino food experience and it was very good! Definitely up to our expectations. Parillada (meat platter) was good size and cut. Chimichurri was very nice too.
L. W.
Perfectly cooked steak servies was 10/10
M. S.
The food was freshly cooked and incredibly tasty and the staff were friendly. The service was also very efficient at lunchtime for a table of five. Will definitely return!
O. A.
Amazing food, very friendly staff and responsible priced. The beef was absolutely wonderful and I recommend to take Empanadas as a snack. It was my first time to try Argentinian food and I have a good impression about it. They take charge for service.
F. M.
About the best asado I’ve eaten outside of Argentina.
I’m from Argentina but I’ve lived abroad for the last so many years. Every time I’m in London for a business trip I come to La Patagonia! The only dish I try is the parrillada for 2. Best asado I’ve eaten outside Argentina! Great quality food and at a great price.
Last time I went I couldn’t even finish the whole thing because i was tooo full 💔💔💔
Highly recommended (by an Argentinian meat lover).
L. D.
Best meal we have had in as long as I can remember! Delicious steak, beautiful wine and a stunning tiramisu! The staff were superb and attentive. They even gave our dog some little steak chunks which she inhaled! We shall all be back soon! Thanks again
M. G.
Service was a bit slow, we waited our main plates for almost an hour, but the flavour was good. The sangria was excellent 👌
M. S.
The best place in London to have steak, they are a hidden gem, the chef has hands of gold. Just perfect, I will be back always.
A. K.
Truly a wonderful restaurant! Friendly staff, lovely wine and a grill to die for! The food was simple, but cooked to perfection, proper Argentinian meat! Thank you to the kitchen and front of house, we had such a great evening!
J. P.
Amazing grill. Amazing flavour. Juicy steak. Best sweet potato fries. Great service. Not busy. Lovely deco.
E. C.
Great decor, Shame about the mix grill, beef ribs surprisingly tough, and they really need to sort that flooding bathroom out, it's off putting for a restaurant.
R. G.
Nice cosy place where the meat has an incredible and excellent taste. Quite crowdy but silent, I advise to call for a reservation, no matter what the size of the group is.
M. M.
Great Customer Services, delicious and fresh food, perfect cleanliness. Highly recommended.
J. K.
Excellent food and service. Lovely atmosphere as well.
I've eaten here several times and definitely recommend it... provided you like meat and wine
C. d. F.
The best meat I ever ate! I already booked the restaurant twice for a birthday, and for a special occasion, today I had takeaway and it was as perfect as having it at the restaurant. The steak and ribs are always so juicy, tasty, and beautifully cooked! And can be cooked the way you like or ask for the chefs’ advice, it’s guaranteed that the staff will take good care of the clients. The sweetbreads are so good that we always have them. Also, and very important: La Patagonia is coeliac / celiac / gluten free friendly, I am speaking from experience as I am able to have starters mains and deserts without hassle! La Patagonia is the perfect restaurant in London.
E. Z.
Fantastic food, excellent wine, friendly atmosphere
T. P.
La Patagonia is simply one of the best restaurants in London. The steaks, ribs, sweetbreads, and more are perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. The food is well suited to celiacs / coeliacs and those requiring gluten free menus. The wine selection is excellent and compliments the meats incredibly well. The staff are wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable.
I have eaten here for birthdays, special occasions (groups and date nights), and even the takeaway option has proven excellent, with the food retaining its high quality even with delivery.
Put simply, if I had one night left in London, I would eat at La Patagonia.
F. V.
By far and large: the BEST meat in town. Very consistent with Argentinian churrasco. Service is great as well and rhe place is cozy. Price is great compared to other meat places. Pancake with dulce de leche as dessert is just amazing!
I. R.
If you are looking for good meat and excellent Argentinian food, Patagonia may be one of your best quality/prize options in all London.
Great service, great meat, intimate and with great service.
Extremely recommended
R. M.
Great variety on the lunch menu and lovely service. I will definitely come back for a dinner.
T. C.
Excellent Argentine in Camden, would highly recommend visiting. Staff are incredibly welcoming making it a warm and homely experience.
J. F.
I tried the beef, spinach and chicken empanadas and they were all so tasty! The milanesa a la napolitana was equally delicious.
Portions are big and price is fair.
Service was friendly.
D. S.
This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in London. I like to come here often and even celebrated my birthday here with friends. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended!
R. A.
We went friday eve to celebrate my parents 46 wedding anniversary. Nicolas welcome us warm and kind and we felt at home straight away, we are Argentinians living in the Uk for 20 years. The food is amazing! Perfect 🤩 like we were back home. Highly recommend it! Specially if you like steak and bbq. We are coming back fir sure xx
G. F. V.
Being an Uruguayan and taking into account the proximity that ties me to Argentina in so many ways, I can confidently say that the food and atmosphere in La Patagonia feels and tastes authentic!
E. H.
La Patagonia is like being in Buenos Aires for a couple of hours. Amazing. I totally recommend it.
M. C.
A very nice restaurant with the traditional Argentine food, very welcoming, I must say that we had the best steak.
Thank you
Marlao Coutinho

The restaurant, from outside, doesn't look significantly different to a hundred others, except of course, for the fact it's an Argentinian one.
Soccer fans should be aware that there is a painting inside which mimics the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel with Diego Maradona wearing his kit and a very smug grin. I assumed it was a friendly tease for the British, but die hard fans might find it hard to bear. You choose.
The food is incredible. Empanadas in three types, dozens of starters, and steak of every kind, with creative and imaginative ways of presenting it.
My selection was a steak (I forget which type, but every cut you ever imagined is available) with Roquefort cheese melted on it. This was several days ago and I can still remember the delicious melty flavours
The service was friendly and quick, and since I don't live in London, I cant be sure what the value was like, but it seemed fair to me.
You won't regret it if you decide to go in here.
M. B.
First time we've been in, food was excellent
Had the beef skewer and the meat was well cooked and very tender.
Definitely will be going back.
D. C.
Great Argentinian food. Top meat.
K. W.
I have a feeling that something was a bit downgraded after the pandemic. The food is still amazing, but the service is a bit random. It used to be consistent all the way. Now it depends on a person.
S. A.
Most Authentic Argentine Cuisine! Favourite restaurant in London! Delicious! Can't come here enough! Highly recommend the Parrillada Pampa!
R. B.
Very good food with relaxing atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff.
Z. “.
This is no question asked the best place to go and eat a steak and drink delicious wine. I don't really eat meat anymore but I would still make the trip to come here to Patagonia! Amazing food, atmosphere, wine and people. Very lovely cannot recommend enough :-)
E. D.
Nice and tasty food, great service. Although a bit of wait for specials steaks but worth it.
s.
I love this restaurant so much. The staff are friendly and kind. The food is ALWAYS top notch. They also have an amazing £10 lunch deal too! We always take family and friends here and it never disappoints.
C. H.
Fantastic food, great service, amazing wine. We visited on Friday 13th and didn’t make a reservation but they managed to squeeze us in. We had chitterlings and sweet breads to start. Wow! They are amazing. My husband had rib eye and I had sea bass and it was just delicious. Cooked to perfection. Thank you
D. F.
Good atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Delicious food. I ordered the rib eye which was one of the best I have tasted. The large group I was with had a variety of dishes from meat to vegetarian and they were all well received.
A bit pricey but to be honest the quality was so good it was definitely worth it. Cant wait to get some time off to go again.
R. R.
Food was great but service was slow, then impatient when they wanted to close early.
C. R.
Great food, chilled atmosphere, personal and warm service, I actually can't recommend it enough. I have not only eaten myself but also bring clients.
The meat is fantastic and the grill gives it an amazing taste, but it's not only the food, the service is warm and professional and you will feel like at home.
Eva is great and knows what's in the menu, a breathe of fresh air if you ask me!
A true hidden Gem a stone away from Camden Town
S. J.
Amazing food, get service, good value for money!
Ε. Δ.
Amazing place! Cozy and with unique atmosphere inside. Very close to the underground station. The steaks had incredible taste as well as the vegetables baked in the oven. Authentic argentinian cuisine! Prices a bit high, but we should take into account that the products travel from Argentina. Worth a visit.
F. I. P.
Absolutely loved this place. Plus great customer service from Jofre. Highly recommended for real meat lovers.
R. V.
Amazing food and wine. The service is great and were super helpful with picking a great wine since the wine we wanted was not available. The sharing plates are great and then you have to get a steak! Homey environment and will definitely be back. Also well priced given the high quality.
M. A.
Wow, this place was so good! From the images it felt like it had a rough edge, (which would add to the flavour of course) but actually it's rather neat with good service. We had the mixed grill for 2, the rump and sausage and black pudding were excellent.
C. M.
This place is a wonderful gem. Great food and service, perfect for a lunch time catch up. It can get busy so getting there early is beneficial, or reserving your table in advance.
Great range of food options - I usually go for chicken but I know the steak is also good based on friends who have had it.
K. M.
This was one the best if not the best food experience I had. Food is absolutely delightful. Service was prompt and friendly. Ambiance in the restaurant was great. Prices are reasonable. Deserts were delicious. All around, if you like meat, this is the place to go. I wish I had sixth star for this one.
F. B.
Delicious and perfectly cooked churrasco criollo. Decadent dulce de leche pancake. House wine is superb. Great service!
R. F.
It's alright, but ordered medium rare, got 80% well done and 10% medium.
M. H.
Had lunch here which consisted of sweatbreads as a starter then the rib eye steak. Both were delicious although possibly not the best I have ever had. Nonetheless, very good indeed. I was toying with 4 stars instead of 5 but decided 5 in the end as the service was excellent. The waiter was attentive, informative, patient and very well mannered. This helped ensure our experience was great during our visit. Will definitely return.
D. S.
Have lived in the Camden area since 2008 but never managed to make it here despite hearing good things. Ended up here after another restaurant was closed on a Monday and I'm glad I did. The waitress was very friendly and the service was great. For starters we had sweetbreads and black pudding, both of which were cooked to perfection and served with a couple of very tasty sauces. For mains I had the beef rib cut cross ways with chips. It was a huge plate of meat! Very tasty and left me so stuffed I couldn't have dessert. My wife had the ribeye with green salad which was also great, despite being more medium than the medium rare requested.
I'm annoyed that I took so long to finally try it. I will be going back!
J. L.
Cosy Agentinian place with home atmosphere. They serve amazing warm bread and starters! For main we took a huge grilled meat sharing plate. It is definitely too big even for 2 people, unless you are really hungry. One note: some meat cuts we had were too chewy, whilst other were amazingly juicy and delicious, so quality of meat at least for this plate was inconsistent. Overall, decent place with a nice service and I will be back!
J. G.
Had been going past this place for ages and it was always busy and now I know why. A fantastic family run restaurant with the atmosphere you would hope from such an establishment. I had the mixed grill sharing dish and it was an absolute meat feast!! You won't be disappointed with any of the dishes as they are cooked with care and full of taste
J. B.
The food is lacking seasoning, for the price is was a bit disappointing, when the main attraction is steak it should be spot on in my view. The place looks good though, and the ingredients were of a fairly decent quality, but that should be expected. Service was friendly.
D. K. (.
Amazing staff, very friendly. Booked for 14 people, had no issues. You do have to pay a 8 pound per person deposit which is a lot but it's understandable. Food was incredible. Come for the experience! :D
T. D. N.
The best meat ever !!!!!
J. L.
Came here with a friend one Sunday evening. The staff were really friendly and the place has a nice relaxed vibe.
We both had steaks, the meat was good quality but came out a touch cold. The starters and desserts were nice enough but nothing special and served in these little mason jars.
We shared a jug of sangria, it was tastey and you could tell it hadn't been watered down with fruit juices like some places do.
It was fairly priced. Two starters , two steaks, two sides , two desserts and a jug of sangria coming in at a touch under £90 which is about right for Camden maybe even a little on the cheaper side.
I wouldn't rush back there but it wasn't bad. Not a bad spot for a casual bite. Don't think it deserves 4 stars but if I could give it 3.5 I would. 7/10.
A. B.
Awesome authentic food and super patient staff who dealt accomodatingly with our big birthday group. Best ever!
s. r.
Welcoming atmosphere, a place to enjoy with friends or as a couple. Service was efficient and friendly. Food was delicious. The skewer was surprisingly good quality for the price paid. House wine also recommended.
T. T.
A charming and semi rustic restaurant with a delectable selection of Argentine meats and a couple of cold Argentine beverage. The empanadas were very tasty and the sweetbread was exquisite. The prime cuts of beef ribs and sirloin was amazing. The service was mixed but overall very good.
H. O.
A very decent restaurant that serves Argentinian food, server great, kind explanations to my friend who was new to the food. Steak cooked great, spinach empanadas were very tasty. I would definitely recommend visiting here for some delightful dishes.
e. K.
Omg, had a great afternoon meeting with client, would highly recommend
K. K.
Great Meat and wine feast in unpretentious surroundings.
R. F.
The place is very nice!
I ate a Parrillada with Parmesan with my wife there. It was very good. Most of the meat cuts were OK, but some were spectacular! Specifically their "assado de tira" was amazing! The sausage was also above average and the Morcilla was also very good.
The addition of the Parmesan was also very welcome.
They have a very good selection of regional wines.
The price is way closer to the £££ than ££ if you don't consider the "lunch menu"(which is available 7 days a week).
I will go back to try their "lunch menu" soon...
I recommend the place so far.
S. R.
Best Argentine restaurant in London! Lovely atmosphere, great staff and most importantly... delicious food! Have visited La Patagonia more times than I can count and look forward to returning every time!
O. B.
Wicked staff, great food, awesome beer! Highly recommend!
E. B. L.
Staff had no experience about food allergies. My celiac friend was served a dessert with gluten, and she was the one to ask to get the ingredients checked. Otherwise, excellent food and good customer service
K.
The atmosphere was beautiful and the staff were friendly
I ordered the sea bass but felt it was too salty. The steak looked excellent though, so I would recommend you go for the meat.
A bit pricey so probably wouldn't come again.
J. M.
Meat super delicious made with love. We were in heaven and left in the clouds 👌❤️
N. H.
What I was hoping for but perhaps not what I was expecting. Camden is home to some pretty mediocre places. Not this time. The meat on the mixed grill was all deliciously tender and plentiful. Not to be missed among the starters are the sweetbreads (melt in your mouth :) and the empanadas which seemed very fresh and I would guess made on site. And the fries are fantastic too. If service matters to you....it was very friendly without being intrusive. We went with a guy who lived in Buenos Aires for almost 10 years and he was also impressed
E. S.
We had fillet stakes, not impressed, Goodman is much better. Black pudding was cold. They said chips are hand cut, but they taste like a regular fries cooked from frozen. The wine was good though. Will not come back
M. L.
Delicious food, wine and an excellent melted provolone cheese.
D. H.
One of us had the sirloin steak, which was cooked properly. It was rare as requested, and bloody inside. But it should be good for £21.50 plus £3.70 for chips, at lunchtime when prices are usually cheaper. The rest of us had the £8.99 menu. I had Canelones which was barely warm so I sent it back. It took a long time to reappear, by which time my colleagues had nearly finished their meals. Reasonable food, but it was Friday lunchtime and the waitresses seemed too busy. One colleague didn't receive the Coke he ordered. I didn't leave a tip, which is very unusual for me.
G. P.
Absolutely a must! The meats were wonderfully prepared. The sides were great. The Humitas was delicious. The service was fast friendly and helpful. If your in London I strongly suggest it.
P. F.
Have been here 4 times now and have never had a bad meal. The steaks are absolutely delicious, easily a match for Gaucho but the athmosthpere is stylishly restrained and authentic. Unlike Gaucho, which attracts the flash and gaudy, you'll usually find that the restaurant is populated by Spanish and Latin Amrican diners, who appreciate the truly excellent food and the overall dining experience. I go to a lot of restaurants and can honestly say that this is the best restaurant I have been to of this type. What's more, if you take advantage of the cheaper lunchtime menu, it's a real bargain too.
S. B.
Chairs aren't the most comfortable, but the food more than made up for it. Delicious!
C. K.
Happened across this place whilst searching for somewhere to eat. So glad we went in. Super friendly staff and very relaxed vibe. Food was presented in a no fuss manner but has to be one of the best steaks I've ever eaten at a restaurant. Will definitely be going back soon.
J. L.
Excellent service and great steak at reasonable price. The menu looks interesting enough to want to come back and try different items. My goal will be to get through most of the lunch time specials.
R. G.
If you want a delicious authentic argentinian steak in London then this is the place for you. It feels like a real parrilla in Buenos Aires, with a relaxed atmosphere and top notch meat. Take advantage and try one the cuts you can't get in the usual steakhouses, such as Vacio or Entrana. If you have a hungry partner then the mixed grill is great. I usually go for steak when I come here, though I know the milanesa is good as well as the pasta. Just make sure you finish with the pancake with dulce de leche!

I had one of the best milanesas I’ve ever had.
Wife ate the asado and was perfect!
Price, quality and crew we’re amazing!
10/10 highly recommended.
A. N.
Great place with nice people and the food is excellent
a. r.
Great value for money steak
D. “. C.
Well priced lunch menu with many options. The meat is what you come here for - authentic Argentinian grill open kitchen! Highly recommended
H. P.
Amazing steak place, really recommend the sharing platter with extra cheese. Cozy atmosphere and polite and effective staff.
J. J.
Can't fault it:
Great environment.
Excellent service.
Awesome food.
Good price.
Appears really authentic. I say that, because I haven't tried *real* Argentinian. But it's nothing like most of the plastic "Mexican" chains.
p. b.
The best I've just came all the way from Edinburgh to eat here fantastic food the best beef great service
C. H.
Very argentinean environment. Food is very nice, meat is good quality. House wine is ok, and staff is very nice. If you get homesick, this is a nice place to go. Food comes also relatively fast. Chimichurri is nice.
L. S.
Very friendly staff and service. The grill is always well run, which is crucial in such restaurants.
As someone that has Argentine family, I would prefer more Argentine wait staff and most of all, more fidelity to Argentine recipes and tastes. I understand though that is not possible to achieve in all cases.
Milanesas should come with chips or mashed potatoes, not just chips, a nice basic green salad with vinegar, salt and oil would also be nice, instead of the usual spikey-leaved, pepper-infused, balsalmic-vinegar sozzled nightmares they expect in the UK.
More varieties of cuts, mixed grills, morcillas would also be nice.
The lunchtime specials menu is also good and a cheap option when the restaurant is not busy.
I personally find the popularity of the place in the evenings off-putting, because I grew up there and get tired of people not from the area, the lack of intimacy and necessary effect it has on the service.
I find this place preferable to the other Argentine restaurants for having more of an "interior" feel without the brashness of a more typical baires restaurant.
I feel that this restaurant has potential to improve in a good way from the good start they have made.
M. A.
The quality of the meat is a "sans faute" every single time. The tiramisu and the wine were not the best however, so taking a star off. But would still highly recommend the restaurant.
V. B.
Lunch menu is good value. Service is slow and clumsy e.g. waitress asked my friend how he wants his steak in peppercorn sauce then produced a well done steak saying that's how it comes. If that is the case then why ask the customer how he/she wants their steak?
A. L.
Excellent beef, truly authentically Argentine food. Friendly staff, the owners are at the grill and till half of the time. The only place I've found chinchulines in London.
J. T.
You should try the chorizo, it's delicious. We had brunch and dinner here.
G. P.
One of the best spots in London. The team are so friendly and the food and wine is amazing. £8. 95 lunch menu is great value. Great steak and plenty of options.
M. B.
Awsome Argentinian restaurant!!!! the beef and "asado" are amazing!! All Argentine wine and the staff super friendly. It also is good value for money! If you are lucky or plan in advance, even it is a small place, the have live music!!!
S. K.
Had a lovely meal here on a Sunday evening.
Very authentic Argentinian food and atmosphere. Great steaks and Spanish sausage dishes.
Highly recommended for a nice informal meal.
C. W.
Went on my lunch break, I walk past this restaurant every day and never thought of eating there. The steak, mash and salad was absolutely delicious!! Would definitely recommend!
b.
Trying to find something other than fast food we came across this place almost opposite Mornington Crescent station. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and large portions. One coffee was served just warm but quickly replaced. Would go again if in the area.
C. S.
Absolutely loved the food and the wine.
R. F.
I went to La Patagonia for a Friday night dinner and the experience was positive. The lamb is delicious and the stakes are quite good too. The area is a bit on the small side, but overall I was pleased and would recommend to those of you looking for an Argentinian restaurant in London
K. A. D.
Excellent food and authentic meals.
P. S.
Beautiful restaurant, a very cozy atmosphere that takes you away from London. The food is very well presented and the taste? You will want to come back for more!
A. C.
Good steaks, but service seemed rushed. Received a rib eye instead of a sirloin, the reservation i had for 9.30pm was mistaken for 10pm. But they gave us 20% off the bill so it balanced things out.
M. W.
Brilliant food, reasonable prices. Had live tango happening last time I visited, which was quite entertaining. Not sure how often this happens though. Regardless, for the price range, you would be hard pressed to find any better food in London.
H. F.
Had dinner for 3. Staff super friendly and helpful. Typical Argentine / Latin American dishes were very good (beef & chicken empanadas, arepas with piquillo peppers and cheese, pancake with dulce de leche dessert). But the steaks (sirloin and rib eye) were a little disappointing - certainly large enough (300g) and nice pieces of meat, not over cooked, but not as good as other steakhouses, and this is what I expect an Argentine restaurant to excel at. Still overall v good.
A. M. Z. Z.
Location: great. Quality: great. Price: great too! — it's hard to get a decent priced good Argentine steak in London. But this place has it all: beef is beyond belief, wines are amazing and the dulce de leche tiramisu is delicious. Highly recommended!
C. R.
Wonderful Parrillada. We had a Parrillada for 2 people with Nieto Senetiner Malbec. We enjoyed too much. The chorizo that comes with Parrillada was very good quality even for City of Buenos Aires standards, actually, it was craft made standards. Also, we got the meal on time. It didn’t take long for them to bring it. Providers which comes with Parrillada was really good too. Looking forward to eating there again.
V. D.
The room feels cosy and authentic; the food is great: I especially like the parilla for 2 (really generous, can easily feed 3) and the empanadas. Service is good but sometimes a bit slow; the food is really worth the wait though!
J. M.
The lunch deal during the week might be worth, well priced and generous portions. The a la carte menu wasn't up to the price they charge. It is okay if you are not expecting top grade meat.
S. S.
I love this place, Food is excellent and everything taste good. Quality of the ingredients is fantastic. Staff is friendly, price is fair and location is great.
My fav from the Lunch special :
Char-grilled chicken sandwich with chips and salad (on a ciabatta bread) ummm
and the Rump steak (200g) with mash potatoes and salad
From the Main Menu I just love the Half a chicken with a tomato chilli sauce on the side served with chips and salad (with the green home made sauce ummm)
V. I.
Great food and great service in a cosy environment.
Prices are very reasonable as well. I had a Medallones de Carne steak and a bottle of beer for 26 pounds, including service charge.
L. F.
Probably the best restaurant on Camden high street, great value lunch menu with loads of choice, friendly staff, consistently great food. Nice interior with lots of Argentinian memorabilia!
R. L.
Yesterday I had a truly wonderful Sunday afternoon at La Patagonia. Yes the service is laid back (as mentioned in an adjacent review) but having been to Argentina I can testify that this is part of the authentic Argentinian barrio restaurant experience! To be poured delicious wine from Mendoza by a Mendozan citizen I thought was pretty cool The empanadas were delicious, the barbecued vegetables extremely flavoursome, and the steak, oh the steak, was simply to die for. The ambiance is lovely - the way they've decorated genuinely produces the authentic air of a family-run restaurant without the fakery and artifice of your average chain steak joint. I even ate the blood sausage (even thought I hate black pudding) and sweetmeats because it was just so tasty I couldn't help going back for more and more. If your idea of heaven is a fist sized hunk of meat, cooked to perfection on a charcoal bbq, that - as my friend remarked - "you could cut with a spoon" washed down with a delicious glass of Malbec then do not hesitate. Do it! This place does exactly what it claims to do on the website. They serve you gorgeous food and great wine in a warm and authentically Argentinian setting. Don't rush - take your time over it. We stayed for 3 hours and even then I didn't want it to end. Best birthday meal I ever had. Bravo!
R. F.
Amazing place!! They offer good lunchtime deals. Try their steak!! Jusy the best! Very busy usually, so it's better to book ahead if possible.
π.
Called up and they booked me a table even though I couldn’t get an online booking. My date didn’t turn up and they were super accommodating. In the end they packed up the meal as a takeaway for me. It was delicious.
N. K.
great food, amazing service, professional staff and reasonable prices.
we had a great and memorable evening there with our friends and will definitely go back again.
A. S. G.
We are usual costumers and just love the place. It's by far the best Argentinian restaurant we've in London, the only drawback is that they don't have pizza! But just try the Milanesa and the Provoleta, you won't be disappointed :)
A. L.
Ok not great, the Empanadas were too salty for my taste which was odd as the main was under seasoned. That said staff were very nice and I was the last customer. Looking at the other reviews it may have just been an off night
G. T.
Great wine , lovely food
Y. C.
Beautiful food, yummy red wine and fabulous service - would definitely recommend
I. T.
In town for a couple of hours. Nice stroll down from euston and experience a lovely atmosphere and food instead of the fast food options. If your in my position I’d strongly recommend the same. 10/10
D. B.
Fantastic lunch venue. Tasty Argentine food with a heavy emphasis on meat. Reasonable selection of Argentinian wine and beer.
Friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere.
E. R.
I had some really nice churrasco here. The place is nice but really small. You must book, but even with a booking you may have to wait a lot. Prices are low, anyway, and the wait is worth.
M. P.
great and very good dishes, but a bit overpriced
G. L.
Very good for the value. Milanesa a la napolitana is a solid choice and abundant, vacío is more regular sized and the price also includes side. Next time I'll try the parrilla for 2.
F. S.
Very good food. I have never been to argentina so i cannot tell if the taste is authentic argentinian or adapted to meet international customers. But nevertheless, what matters is that the taste is GOOD.
c. l.
The best meat eat in London
A. F.
Properly good Parilla. Just like being back at my Argentine father in-law's house in the summer when he gets the grill on.
Awesome place with excellent food and wine and really nice staff
T. K.
Been going to La Patagonia for years and I will do in future! The meat plates are amazingly tasteful and filling and the service is very attentive to you. A bit pricey but it's definitely worth it!!
F. V.
I do recommend this restaurant. The meal is always great!! And the staff incredibly friendly!
P. N.
The steak is wonderful and the side salad and roasted vegetables that went with it were also lovely. Excellent value for money as well. I'll definitely be going back
M. O. P.
We couldnt decide what we wanted (everything looked and smell awesome) so we asked for a lot of appetizers todo save room for dessert. The wine of the house was good and unexpensive and the "panqueque de dulce de leche" is a must.
I. S.
Charming restaurant with lots of character and welcoming and helpful staff. Grilled veg for starters and a stake cooked to perfection were absolutely delicious and I'm already dreaming about coming back here again soon :)
I. G.
Excellent Argentinian food, starters, steaks, wines and choice of drinks is brilliant, atmosphere is good and the staff is very welcoming! Definitely worth checking this little gem in candem
P. E.
Argentinian Steak House so I expected more from the meat. Ribeye was fine but left me a bit disappointed. Nice and friendly place and sides and wine was good
G. O.
We had a dinner in La Patagonia. The steak was tender, the black pudding delicious. The stuff is polite. It's not expensive (for London).
L. “. F.
The very best Argentinian restaurant!
M. Y.
My two Argentinian friends say this is the best Argentine restaurant in London... I believe them! It's delicious. Go for lunch for the discounted lunch price.
S. “. B.
Amazing food! Great portions and wonderful staff :) great experience all round and feels quite small and personal ... plus great value for money!!!
P. C.
We just walked in randomly from the street. Food was delicious. Wine by glass its more like ok. Perhaps better stuff sold by bottle. Friendly staff.
C. G.
We booked in advance, they were very busy but managed to fit our party of 4 in. Very friendly and happy staff, the steaks were excellent, we would certainly go again.
M. T.
Fantastic steaks every time, friendly service, and it's nice and cosy. I've recently moved away from the area but will certainly be swinging by for some Argentinian soon.
C. T.
Great Argentinian cuisine. I highly recommend the veal sweetbreads (seriously!) and parillada pampa. Booking a table in advance is advised though as this place gets very busy in the evenings.
S. H.
Amazing place! Really love the food, especially the lunch time menu which is an absolute bargain. The house red is very nice too!
S. H.
Fantastic steaks and wine, cosy and reasonably priced. They also have a great lunch menu so worth going there before 3pm
R. A.
The food is really tasty with a delicious Argentine red wine
T.
Just get the cheese! It is an amazing starter.
I had the sea bass to with new potatoes which was nicely flavoured. Not the cheapest place in mornington cresent to eat, but quite lovely !
g. g.
One of my preferred places to eat. Ask for the parillada pampa but stress the need to have some fire in the grill they will bring to your table otherwise the meat will get cold while you eat. Once this place was run by very friendly Argentinians, I think now the management changed and the friendliness and charcoal inside the grill on your table get cold.
D. “. D.
Absolutely phenomenal place. From the food to the atmosphere there's absolutely nothing not to love. 10/10 would come back, 11/10 would recommend.
T. G.
Well worth a meal here!! Fabulous steak at a good price and a great atmosphere.. Perfect lunchtime meal
T. A.

Reasonable prices.
A must if you're a meat lover.
A. F.
Great steak. The sweet breads were wonderful. The beer was interesting and the service was friendly and efficient.
J. P.
Very good food and wine selection. A bit pricey for my taste and the service, one of the times, lacked a bit, but still: if you like Argentinean food, this is THE place.
R. G.
Was lovely food , very nice people
S. M.

Ravishingly good veal sweetbread, meat that melts in the mouth, but not sweet! Nice decor. Rest of the dishes were okay.
M. R.
Amazing food and staff. The only reason why I have removed one star: It was VERY VERY noisy.
Apart from that, everything else was great!
G. W.

Expensive but good food
D. B. P.
Had a great milanesa napolitana and an empanada. It was great, typical Argentinian dish and they did perfectly.
A. D.
As an Argentinian, I loved the kind of food they offered. The only thing I would suggest is to add oven plates, since everything is fried
C. S.
The best restaurant for meat in London. Great welcome, very authentic.
M. E.
Wonderful tasting food, great service, highly recommend. Book in advance as limited seating.
S. B.
Get the best of Argentinian cuisine in London. The deep fried empanadas are the best you can get and the Parillada is a meat lover dream.

Delicious salmon belly with spinach a la creme. This dish was pretty perfect if you observe the ketogenic diet. The chef crisps up the skin and the flesh is tender and rich. It was very tasty and i enjoyed the ambience of the busy restaurant at lunchtime. Service was great. Spot on meal. Much higher quality than many of the neighbouring bars and eateries.
