Reviews of La Petite Bretagne
A.
La Petite Bretagne is a really nice cozy place to have delicious crepes (sweet and savory). There is also a wide selection of drinks.
The staff was friendly and welcoming.
The tables inside are a bit close to each other. But overall a really good place!
M.
Overall it’s a great place for galettes and crêpes in London, as authentic as it can be. Staff are friendly, ambience is warm and intimate, menu with lots of options.
However I’m removing one star because I’ve had better galettes in my life and another star because the atmosphere was quite hazy due to seemingly poor ventilation. We stayed in the establishment for 1 hour and our clothes were smelling like food and kitchen smoke… hopefully the owner will look into this to improve. The hot chocolate was bad, the crêpe suzette was really good.
Lastly, despite service charge is optional at 12.5%, the waiter added it in the bill without checking with us first (we would have accepted anyways but would have appreciated the transparency).

My girlfriend and I ordered a sweet and savory crepe and my god it was beautiful. The alsacienne was a great combo of cheese/egg/bacon and the Breton treat was light and the perfect amount of sweet. Decent sized portions and good coffee, highly recommend this as a breakfast spot.

Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you're getting and the food itself is not too bad either - pancakes are smooth and delicate in taste ☺️
Was not 100% happy with the service though as we had to wait for 30 mins for someone to even come and get our order - it was busy as it was over the weekend but considering how small the place is I felt like a lot of people went in and out while we sat there waiting.
Another thing that is worth mentioning is you and your clothes will probably smell like the food so if you're someone like me who completely hates it I wouldn't recommend. Hopefully this is something that will get improved in the future.

Lovely little gem of a cafe located opposite the station. Tasty crepes and pancakes with lovely flavours. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit

Spotted this lovely little place just down the road from our hotel. My daughter loves pancakes/crepes so we went here on our last day as a treat. Immediately was greeted with a warm warm welcome and a smiling face. Two tables were pushed together for us and menus we kindly brought. My husband chose immediately and so did my daughter, choosing their all time favourites. I had a difficult time because all the options sounded so appetising. We gasped and laughed when our food was brought. Such enormous plates of fresh crepes and they were truly delicious, the best we've ever had! All the staff were very kind and engaging, and we will definitely be coming again on our next visit 🥰
B. S.
I was craving for something sweet and tasty and I found this cute little place. When I went it was not crowed it and it was really comfy. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. I totally recommend this cute caffé 💛
I. A.
This place is a must. I've been there many times and never disappoints. Their crepes are amazingly tasty - with both sweet and savoury options, and the atmosphere is exceptional!
R.
Egg, mushroom and ham gallette was a dose of tasty nostalgia but the rest were generally pretty average.
Service was a bit awkward too.
Not bad but certainly not going back
A.
Best crepes ever! Very tasty and lots of options (veggie included)
The place is so cute and the staff is very friendly! I go there regularly to eat in or for a takeway (they’re fast!)
M. T.
It was pretty busy, but we managed to find a table they were having some problems with the coffee machine so they told us if we'd like to have coffee's to go next door and bring them in. We did have to wait for 40 minutes for our crêpes but the waitress was super apologetic and the food was lovely when it arrived.
K. G.
A lovely surprise! The waiter greets you with a big smile and is very helpful. And above all the food was delicious
They serve buckwheat crepes that make them crispy 🙂. The portions were a bit too big which prices wise is good.
I will definitely be visiting again.
F. F.
Great little restaurant with an extensive list of crepes savoury or sweet. The food is very very good and we always puzzle on which crepe to get as they are all very tasty! Nice service too. Just a little note, place can be a bit smokey :)
T. R.
We were 4 people who walked in for a late lunch and they were able to seat us right away. The crepes are delicious filled with good quality ingredients. The service was fantastic as well. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
A. B.
It's so calm and empty during the week in the morning and so crowded on weekends. It's a pet friendly place, we were with our miniature Schnauzer. Amazing crepes, very tasty! Service is very friendly, very content with people that are working here.
C. C.
Such a lovely little place in Hammersmith. The crepes and galettes are so yummy and service is great, the french lady that took our order was super attentive and nice. Will definitely be back
G. G.
Authentically French. I went in with a group of gals who also happen to be French and were greeted by a very pleasant and charming gal. The food was delicious we all had different crepes- sweet and savoury.
B. G.
We’ve never had such good crepes, and that’s putting it lightly. Oh and the service was great along, very well priced, and great atmosphere inside.
B. B.
Great food. Tartiflette was beautiful, my son enjoyed strawberries and cream crepe, said they were the best he's ever had! Thoroughly recommended
V. G. M.
Lovely atmosphere, crepes were delicious and the waitresses was the sweetest person ever, she offered us the tea!
We will definitely come back!
A. C.
Delicious French crepes and galettes and very friendly service.
The place is small and cozy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Easy to find and in close proximity to underground and bus stations.
I had a great culinary experience here. La Tartiflette was very tasty and filling and the Crepe Suzette was an absolute delight. I highly recommend this place, for probably the best crepes I have ever had.
S. W.
Good to know this restaurant. Very delicious with reasonable price.
H. P.
Probably one of my favourite crepe places in London. Well located in Hammersmith, it's a small space with simple decor, but the very nice and accommodating staff gives it a relaxed and homely feel. They have a great selection of gluten-free crepes, both savory and sweet, but all delicious! Well worth a visit!
N. C.
Every Friday, I would sit there and study with my friend. I love the atmosphere, it’s quiet and chill. The food arrives quickly and is amazing. I am allergic to nuts but this restaurant offers crêpes without Nutella which makes it special. Furthermore, the restaurant is super cozy and is perfect place to work. The owner is really nice. The waiters talk french and make you feel like you’re in France. I also love their choice of music. Ever since I discovered this restaurant, I am obsessed with it!
I would like to thank the owner for their lovely restaurant!
S. C.
As ever, the gallette was lovely, the ambiance refreshingly Breton, and the service from Thomai was perfect. La Petite Bretagne is such a friendly happy place to spend some time.
M. W.
The portions are huge!! Easily the best crepes I’ve had outside of France! Tartiflette and the raspberry madness are the bomb 💣
A. B.
Every time we go there we are happy with all savoury or sweet options. There is no fuss, friendly staff, good coffee and delish brut cider!
H. C. (.
Love it. Special spot in Hammersmith, very welcoming place small but warm. We had something sweet after our gym session (seems like a crime but felt like a reward 💪🏾🙌🏾👌🏾) the crepes and hot chocolate was very yummy 😋. Definitely become one of our places around Hammersmith. Now need to try the savoury 🙂. Worth a visit all the time. 😌
L. R. P.
Tiny place (so no many tables) but worth the visit. Amazing gallettes!
M. M.
Crepes were good, service nice. Many flavors and styles. Has coffee, beers and wines. On downsite I guess it gets too smokey. Everytime get back home need to wash my clothes. Would suggest to fix the exhaust. But do try it tastes good, waiters can advice on what to get.
L. P.
Loved it! Big choice of Crepes (including raclette and tartiflette!) and big portions for the price, in a relax atmosphere with smily service.
S. M.
La Petite Bretagne quickly became one of our favourite spots. Wonderful staff, lots of character, and the crepes are to die for. The Tartiflette is my favourite, perfect with a cup of Julius Meinl flat white.
V. c.
Very good crepes with huge variety including vegetarian options. The sweet coupons are even better than the savoury ones.
D. R.
Lovely, cozy place in which you can hear French all around you. :) Loved the sweet raspberry crepe we tried but a bit less so the savoury crepe - the gluten free dough makes it a bit dry and with a consistency that’s not as great as the sweet ones.
L. F.
I was greeted by a wonderful Greek lady. She’s very warm and friendly and just giving off a good vibe. Lovely crepes.
F. B.
Gorgeous place - lovely coffee and delicious crepes. We shared two pancakes - one savoury and one sweet. Friendly service too.
T. F.
Standards slipping. Not at all impressed with quality of food and service at a recent visit. Disappointing because this was once one of my favourite restaurants in Hammersmith.
B. S.
Excellent friendly service from start to finish. LOVELY Crepes. Savoury and sweet and do waffles too. We went for tea and had a veggie crepe. The next day returned for a fruit crepe for breakfast. Will return when we are next in Hammersmith
J. L.
Absolutely 5 stars!!! La Petite Bretagne is a real gem of a place! Super friendly and welcoming staff, it is the perfect place to enjoy delicious crepes in a warm, cozy atmosphere. Such a great choice of sweet and savoury crepes, I opted for savoury and it was super yum! Can’t wait to return for another wonderful brunch!
D. C.
Delicious crepes both sweet and savoury and the best customer service. My friend ordered the summer fruits crepe and it looked and tasted amazing, she had finished 75% of it but asked to take the remaining home. The lovely French waitress came out and told us that chef was apparently too quick and accidentally threw the leftover in the bin but he made a brand new one in its place! This is a place that cares about their customers and goes the extra mile, from the quality of food to the customer service, always with a smile too. I've already recommended this place to my friends. I'll definitely be back!
S. S.
I always love to come here! The crepes are all amazing, today I have tried this one with rockets salad honey and goat cheese and was so big and delicious!
B. D. S.
Cozy little place in the heart of Hammersmith. Friendly staff, superb crepes (same quality as you were in France), good prices. The place is worth more than a visit, absolutely recommended.
O. E.
I came here for brunch with a friend and we got in quite early so it was rather empty. The staff were amazingly kind and returned with our crepes quickly.
I had a savory crepe, the oceane, which had salmon in it. I enjoyed it rather a lot and the portion size was quite healthy. The prices are online so you can decide for yourself if they are a good deal. I for one will be coming back at some point, even if it is just for the little cars on the shelves.
M. P.
We initially discovered this place from its similar branch (now closed) in Dalston. As french citizens from Nantes, we cannot recommend more this place. We took the Magret of Canard galette & the Super Complete and were not disappointed. The wine from Côte du Rhône was excellent and the desserts (dark chocolate crepe & raspberry white chocolate crepe) well end up our birthday dinner. On top of all, staff is lovely, we will definitely come back! (please continue to deliver these tasty galettes from Brittany, there are so few of them in London!)
A. M.
Lovely lovely crêperie !! Can't say enough really, arrived around 6 to have a quick dinner before a concert and I was delighted with the food! Had an alsacienne crepe (savoury) and special Breton crepe for dessert, with a small bottle of traditional cidre! Lovely ! All for £16 pp, bargain!
S. L. R.
Lovely food, professional friendly staff. I had super veggie crepe. Absolutely delicious.
C. S.
Amazing service with a smile. The crepes were lovely. Enjoyed thoroughly.
L. P.
Nice place to have a breakfast. Good selection of crepes, well prepared. If you're around it is highly recommended to try this place.
S. S.
Cosy place, tasty dishes and nice hosts!! This restaurant is well-located (in front of Hammersmith station). Moreover, almost every ingredients are imported from Bretagne, France (origin of crepe).
J. D.
A wonderful find! Wonderful crepes made in view of the restaurant area, and friendly staff. Great menu.
C. M.
Large savory crepe selection, which is my favorite variety, and good sweet options. Pictured is a pesto, sun dried tomato, cheesy crepe with arugula on top. Every dish looked great and the customer service was fabulous and personal. Thank you for an excellent lunch!
J. M.
Really nice place! Delicious crêpes and cidre 🥰 highly recommend!
D. F.
Such a quaint little place..and the best pancakes I’ve ever tasted..visited here last year in April and wanted to review..If your ever in Hammersmith be sure to visit... seriously you won’t be disappointed..
S. d. D.
I’d say La Petite Bretagne is perfect. It does crepes and galettes beautifully, wonderful ingredients, beautifully cooked and lovely service.
R. F.
I have been coming to La Petite Bretagne for years, and I'm never disappointed. Super friendly staff, DELICIOUS crepes and a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy breakfast/brunch with friends. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
R. M.
Really cute little place, food was incredible and staff were incredibly friendly. Tiphaine, our waitress, has such a lovely personality and made us smile and laugh the whole time we were in there. Will definitely go back next time we're in London!
M. O.
Very good restaurant with amazing food from Britanny. The galettes and crepes are excellent. Staff is very friendly too. Definitely a 5/5
A. G. M.
3 minutes walking from Hammersmith tube station. The quality of the crepes is very very good; more than I was expecting. It is a very cosy place with simple but original decorations. The price is the only reason I couldn't give it five starts review, it's quite high for what you get (quantity). Recommendations: white chocolate and classic. Don't forget to ask for he loyalty card in case you are thinking in coming back.
S. N.
My favourite crêpes in the world. Especially the sweet ones—they're so elastic, I love them! A must go whenever I'm in London.
G. C.
Amazing place. Feels like home away from home. Galettes and crepes were amazing and we felt very welcome and looked after. Highly recommend it.
A. D.
The galettes (savoury crepes) were delicious and the coffee tasty! The complimentary Lotus biscuits were a pleasant surprise. My only suggestion would be the establishment really needs an air conditioner for the warm days!
M. R.
I've been coming to this place since 2012 and it goes from strength to strength. It is a charming, small place to meet with family and friends and enjoy delicious crêpes. I particularly like the oceane and the banana and Nutella, classic but so delicious! Recommended to book a table if you are meeting with friends since it gets really busy
N. L.
Lovely place to eat! The crepes are fantastic and generously filled, the desert crepes are varied and delicious, and there is the option to opt for buckwheat crepes if required (this obviously takes longer, hut it is well worth the wait)! The staff are utterly delightful and we keep on coming back.
I. H.
Absolutely amazing place 26th such a great staff and service. Most certainly going back.
S. H.
Small, tidy place, lovely crepes, good cider, good coffee. Sells some French groceries too. All round good experience - has a great ambience.
D. T.
Just got taken to lunch here with my French girlfriend who says it's the real deal and can honestly say the food is top notch. Amazing savoury crepes and portion size for the price and wonderful selection of sweet crepes for dessert.
Friendly and attentive staff is a bonus. Will definitely be returning when we are in the area again.
L. G.
Very unusual pancakes made of buckwheat. They look rather thin, but are very filling, however still pretty pricey. Definitely a fun place to check out, however I wasn't 'wowed' by the taste
M. R. V.
Best place in London to eat crêpes!!! There is a menu for £16.95, including 2 crêpes (savory and sweet) + drink. Staff very kind. Fully recommended!!
L. V.
Probably the best place in Hammersmith to have breakfast, strongly recommend
L. M.
Very authentic creperie. Super delicious and great value. It's a small place so availability can be limited. Food takes some time to come out so perhaps not ideal if you're in a rush. Worth it though!! Highly recommend!
P. M.
Incredible food with friendly staff. Great range of authentic French recipes.
I. D.
Lovely little place where we had a tasty and filling mustard chicken number (I forget the name) and a super veggie. Both full of flavour with smooth cappuccino accompaniments. We will return again (and again).
W. M.
Fantastic crepes. Popped in for breakfast and didn’t need to eat until the next day. Will be returning for sweet crepes tomorrow. Highly recommend, staff are lovely.
A. P.
The best crepes we have ever had!!! Sooo tasty and great options for vegetarians too. The staff is always very polite, welcoming and helpful. Couldn't recommend it high enough!! So happy they offer take aways now!! Once you try their crepes (savoury & sweets ones), you cannot but become a regular :)
D. V.
Small crepe place in Hammersmith,it's good but no ventilation inside. Everyone will know you've eaten there. A bit on the overpriced side as well
s. p.
I love this place, the smell as soon as you get in is amazing and the food is even better! The staff is friendly and helpful and it's a truly unique place that you must visit if you like French food. Highly recommended!
R. H.
I had a savoury crepe and it was very nice! Girlfriend had a sweet one and it was a little bland.
A. M.
This place is the absolute best! I love it with my whole heart! The crepes are delicious and fresh! I go here with my friend for breakfast every week, it is absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is very tranquil and the staff are incredibly kind and friendly! Great place to hang with friends, go on dates or even have business meetings! LOVE IT!
D. T.
Friendly greeting and farewell, amazing food, good coffee and a comfortable place to eat alone or with company. Will be back soon! 🤍
J. G.
Really worth a visit. Delicious crepes that will make you come back again and again.
K. d.
Amazing crepes. I had the sweet crepe with speculoos. Will definitely be going back there again! The reason why I had to deduct a star, is because unfortunately the chai latte seemed to be made from powder, meaning, way too sweet with minimal spice taste.
G. R.
Absolutely Memorable in every possible way. What a fantastic little place, outstanding service, would give more than 5☆ if there was an option.
S. C.
A great selection of sweet and savoury crepes - unfailingly delicious! The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Try the goat's cheese crepe or the Belle Helene!
P. S.
Best creperie in the Hammersmith area. Amazing food with spot on service and staff. Do yourself a favor and stop by!
D. D.
Nice little spot with a variety of crêpe and galette options. They have some very tasty cider as well, and we're surprisingly not very crowded despite being so close to the station.
p. a.
Very good food and a lot of it in the menu.
The place is very small and not my tipe.
Is not something that give lux, only and only good food.
Bad thing, is only 1 small toilet
P. L. G.
A cosy crepes restaurante. Good prizes, specially the set menus and very good service (they take the order in the table!!! Loved it!!) Food is fresh and handmade
s. l.
i went for i saw the rating of 4.5* . Once enter i learn that this is a great stuff. They put enough ingrediant for their creeps it is a regret i didnt get to try their sweet one. Things to check again if you ever london and hammersmith
O. “. I.
Super lovely restaurant with very friendly staff, yummy food and moderate prices! Will return 😋🍴
L. S.
We had delicious crepes for breakfast, yum!
M. J.
Very goid gluten free crepes! If you are coeliac you have to try it! The only negative point is that the service is slow.
A. B.
Delicious and great service. We’ll come again
G. S.
Very nice little café, very friendly staff, very good choice of sweet and savoury crepes.
D. J.
Have been coming to this small quaint restaurant with a chilled, welcoming vibe for a while and could not rate the food and service higher!
L. S.
Incredible pancakes and friendly service. A real gem.
J.
Super delicious pancakes!
J. K.
Lovely place, tasty crepes and great, very friendly staff. A little gem in the area.
A. F.
Excellent French crepes, been coming here 10 years +
s. r.
Good option for gluten free savory and sweet crepes, the only down side is it tasted a little bit burnt, not sure if it is the flour they use or that it was really burnt? I had the complete savory crepe. Probably I'll go back again and try the sweet crepes, they might be better.
5 stars for customer service 👍😊
M. H.
Delicious crepes and galettes, lovely staff and dangerously drinkable cider.
D. S.
A great surprise! Lovely food! Great experience!
M. I.
Such a cozy place with many delicious options. Tried the Veggie dish and it was marvellous 😋
S. D.
Proper crêpes and galettes in London.
The food is authentic and so is the staff. They are friendly and helpful.
A must go for craving French food !
V. S.
Loved this cafe. They have great breakfast. Their crepes and waffles are delicious!
K. Y. Y.
Ordered the strawberry dream crepe and it tasted heavenly! Service was great too!
J.
Very friendly staff on hand with helpful information. We enjoyed pancakes for breakfast and lunch, sweet and savoury. It was very tasty experience.
F. S.
Nice place if want to discover French Brittany's pancakes. Large selection for a complete meal.
M. B.
Amazing crepes and amazing service! I had requested a table for my wife's birthday brunch, and even though they don't usually take reservations the owners were kind enough to organise this. They went above and beyond and even put an adorable candle on our Strawberry Dream crepe, which you must try!
M. S.
The food is really good, but the service is not. The cook was complaining loudly in French about every single order, and you could hear it perfectly from the table since it's an open kitchen. You end up feeling "guilty" ordering a crepe from the menu, just because she doesn't feel like making it. Even if we really enjoyed the food, we won't be back.
J. C.
Wonderful atmosphere, pleasant music in the background, very good creperie.
Sweet crepe menù could do with a "create your own" option - and a few more high end crêpes would be lovely for a truly extra lush experience.
A Vanilla ice cream, strawberry, banana, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce crepe would really fit well into the menù 😊
M. F.
What a charming little find.
A great legit French creperie with a wide range of sweet and savoury crepes to choose from for a range of budgets.
The dish sizes are big an generous, definitely a meal you won’t walk away hungry from.
There meal deals are brilliant and they have a get your 10th crepe free loyalty card.
E. C.
Delicious crepes with lovely staff! Tiphaine our lovely waitress let me practice french while I ordered which was a bonus!
D. S.
This is a wonderful place to order a crepe in Hammersmith!! The crepes are very authentic, and the staff is very kind. I visit all the time, and they now know me and my order. It is a great place to grab take away or to sit down. The eating area is rather small, so if you are planning to go during lunchtime try to make a reservation as it might be booked up. The food is excellent, made fresh and always very tasty!!
K. E.
My favourite creperie in London! Great food, lovely people, venue is cute and very clean.
W. F.
The best authentic French crepes I have ever had outside of France. The service was friendly and engaging. The staff seemed genuinely appreciative of our praise. We went there again and it was just as good as the first time.
A. N.
The best crepes I’ve ever had in London.
A. y.
Nice and quiet little cafe. They've got a good variety of savory and sweet crepes to choose from. Portion is big and very filling, I was all crepe-D out would have gone for their sweet crepe but maybe next time
They have a good savory + sweet crepe + one drink deal for £12.95. It's definitely enough for two unless you're not the kind to share
E. A.
Quite good crepes, though did expect a lot better taste for the price. For example my emmental cheese, ham and spinach crepe didn't have any sause, so was dry and I felt salt crystals while chewing. Altogether still pleasant experience, staff was nice.
M. M.
Pleased with this place so far. Let's brush over the venue as it could be better, but the food is tasty and they are flexible to adjust the menu to your needs should you choose to take something off your order and replace with something else.
P.s. Don't worry if the ground shakes every now and then, it's most likely not an earthquake but the trains underneath you passing by!
T. A.
The most amazing savoury and sweet crepes in a cute little space adorned in nostalgic French decor, just across from Hammersmith and City line station. Probably my favourite thing about this place though is the friendly and eccentric staff that work there. Would recommend for any time of day.
D. T.
Quaint little french crepe café. Has a great atmosphere and very happy staff so that you feel like giving them business!
Had a delightful crepe with Eton mess style topping. Highly recommended!
D. R.
I love this place! Very cosy and a great menu of sweet and savoury crepes. Also good for gluten-free as they have buckwheat crepes.
J. S.
Great food and quite a quaint area! Would recommend
A. W.
Very cute little place run by genuine French people. It was my first time trying buckwheat and it made the crepes taste a little burnt, but fillings were very tasty. Atmosphere was nice and staff were very friendly!
m. b.
Is a local, lovely and charming little restaurant serving amazing crepes with enough ingredient/filling and decent value for money.
Good variety.Dishes look & taste great.Customer service is personal, friendly, fabulous!
N.
One of the best places for homemade crepe's and waffles. It's truly great for such a small place, as some times you can't find a table to sit. The tables need cleaning after each use, which doesn't happen all the times.
E. B.
What a great idea? After pancake day we all day that we should eat them more often so here's the best excuse! Sweet and savoury options, delicious. I had ratatouille which was the only non dairy option, yummy. Staff were attentive and friendly.
J. F.
Visited her with family for breakfast. Really chilled vibe and only a small amount of seating makes for quite the cosy morning. Had a sweet biscotti crepe which was really good and the coffee wasn't bad either. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
i. m.
December 2018 - foolishly had the savoury and sweet crepes menu offer. Couldn’t finish the sweet crepe. The standard is maintained. With different chefs it can vary a bit but they all cook to a standard and you shouldn’t be disappointed. It always makes me wish I was in France. Attentive staff and good food in the heart of Hammersmith. Not breaking the wallet either.
If it’s your first time I recommend ordering a savoury crepe and then seeing if you’re ready for a sweet one. Addendum - Cider is excellent as is the coffee.
It is a squeeze but it’s worth it. Eclectic surroundings, framed prints, tins, cups shelves of dry goods on display & for sale. Good coffee & lovely cider. The 2 crepes and a drink special is excellent value. The crepes themselves are light tasty healthy and a vast choice of ingredients. You could sit there for ages and believe you were in France. Ok it’s noisy outside but then it’s hammersmith. definitely visit again
O. B.
Finally a great place to eat proper (French) food. There is such a large variety of choices, and the crepes are really great. There is a limited choice of drinks, though, but this is okay since this is a creperie, not a pub. Their space is rather small but that's just a fact of life, not an inconvenience.
S. H.
Amazing venue with warm atmosphere and friendly staff! The crepes were heavenly and enjoyed them to the last bite! Looking forward to returning again with my friends!

Located near Hammersmith tube station is this small and cosy creperie serving up French delicacies to commuters, students and employees of the many nearby offices.
I came during lunch in the hopes of enjoying a galette with a friend, but was informed by a waitress that there were no seats and to come back in 15 mins, which I did and received the same response to. I came later during tea and had a sweet crepe as a mid-afternoon snack.
Worth noting was that during off-peak hours you seat yourself (at any available tables) and order at the counter, versus having someone usher you to a table and take your orders.
I went for the Strawberry Dream, a crepe with strawberries, cream and almonds. It was beautifully presented, as you can see from the image. Flavour-wise, nothing too spectacular, just what you'd expect from a standard crepe plus aforementioned toppings.
Schoolkids form a large number of the patrons here. During my visit I've observed them coming into the store in large groups and ordering crepes to go after they've been dismissed.
The food here is affordable, which is a bonus. I suppose it's to be in line with the competition nearby: fast food and takeouts. Overall, a good place for a catchup with friends or to grab a quick bite during lunch. I'm keen to sample their savoury crepes made with buckwheat and will try my luck again if I'm in the area.
A.
Excellent crepes! A place that we like going back to whenever we're in the area. Cosy and friendly. It's hard to resist their raspeberry madness if one tried it before!
V. C.
Great value crepes and great service
M. V.
The proper buckwheat Breton crêpes perfectly executed by dedicated french team. Mostly french clientele clearly rate this place highly as it's generally busy, but the highly professional owner will always will find you a place. Perfect crêperie
M. D.
Lovely staff and great food! I'd booked and they had an issue that meant they had to close, but they stayed open just for us alone and served us very well.
Food was delicious, authentic, French crepes. I'll be back for a sweet one next time!
n.
It has nice food, but the place seriously needs to expand in size. I've been there approximately five times in the past week for a table, however, everytime I've gone, I've had to leave due to there being no tables. The crepes are really good, but there has to be an upgrade in size or tables.
D. S.
Had breakfast here for the first time. Not the best crepe I've ever had but almost. The coffee was great too. The service was great and everyone was friendly. Will definitely be back
S. S.
No fuss, great choice of Ciders and good coffee
Crêpes were good as ever, Crêpe Suzette is highly reccomended
N. H.
Liked this place, they have great combinations of fillings, also do the proper gallettes which is really great with the savoury fillings. Been here few times, good place if you crave crêpe.
E. M.
Wonderful crepes, good variety. All of the savory crepes are gluten free, and the sweet ones can be made GF. So good, we went twice on our week long London adventure.
S. C.
One of my favorite places in London. The crepes are amazing! Strawberry dream is my favorite. We ate here almost Every day for 3 weeks in July 2017. The employees are the best!
A. A.
Lovely authentic French crèperie, makes tasty savoury buckwheat crepes as well as amazing sweet wheat ones, and has actual Breton cider which is brut rather than sweet like the British ones. Also has set menus. I'm a very glad repeat customer.
H. H.
Very good French galettes and dessert crepes. Perfect and quick service. Great value for money (2 savoury galettes, 2 sweet crepes and 1 big bottle of cider for £40). Definitely one of the best places to have French crepes!
B. G.
I was running a bit early in Hammersmith and wanted to find a place where I could get some breakfast and kill some time. Right sort of balance between formal and informal - Not such a rush as a fast food place but not as all consuming as a proper sit down meal.
This place was really great. Food was brilliant, I had the complete (ham, cheese and egg) for breakfast and it was filling, delicious and freshly made. The egg was perfectly placed in the middle of the crepe.
The gentleman serving was friendly and you also get a free coffee before 11AM.
I definitely recommend if you're in the area.
A. T.
Best savory crepes I've ever had and best service too. Replaced our nutella crepe when the left over fell from the table. Veggie crepe is absolutely delicious.
C. W.
Friendly, local creperie, serving savoury and sweet pancakes with a distinctive French style
F. C.
This little gem is near enough to my orthodontist that after every appointment I come here for a Nutella crepe- I wish my teeth were worse so I would have the excuse to come more often! All the staff are fabulous and welcoming, and one even knows me and my Nan as regulars! I shall take this opportunity to recommend the crazy hot chocolate- the kind of hot chocolate that sits on the table with its whipped cream and marshmallow crown that makes people who come into the shop stop, stare and say 'Wow, I'm having one of them!' And as for the Nutella crepe- this is the ONLY NUTELLA CREPE YOU EVER NEED TO EAT IN LONDON- and as somewhat of a Nutella crepe connoisseur I can vouch that it is better than the one from the stand near the houses of parliament, the indulge desert restaurant in Pinner, Creams in Ealing Broadway, and, dare I say it, my nan's own pancakes... if you're ever going to Welcome Orthodontics, are in the Hammersmith area, or just London in general, be sure to visit La Petite Bretange- you won't regret it!
C. A.
A little piece of France in the heart of Hammersmith. Cosy environment and tasty crepes, both sweet and savory. Do not miss the fantastic offers they have if you choose a menu, and make sure you get your card stamped to get a free crepe after a few visits
F. V.
Some crepes are very good but in some areas they could do a lot better. For example their cream comes from a spray can and it has no flavour at all, tastes synthetic. And their hot chocolates are very weak and made with semi skimmed milk, meaning they have no character and taste more like milk than hot chocolate.
R. M.
Great little Creperie! Well priced and delicious, both the sweet and savoury varieties. It’s often busy which is a good sign but you may find yourself sitting with other patrons while dining.
M. F.
Little oasis of French food culture in the heart of Hammersmith.
The crepes are absolutely delicious and transport you directly to the French Brittany on the first bite.
Even on a busy lunch we have been served very quickly by the very nice and friendly staff.
If you don't have time for a full lunch, they also do take away.
S. F.
Small and friendly, tasty buckwheat crepes with traditional French filings
M. S.
Cozy little food place close to Hammersmith centre. The food was ok, even though the omelettes are far from the ones I tasted in France. I ordered one of the set menus, which includes a savoury omelette, a sweet one and a soft drink for £13.95. First I got a ham, cheese and spinach omelette; it was ok, nothing special. The egg was too cooked to me, and the edges were crunchy. Ingredients were good, but they could have filled it a bit more, especially with ham. I got a Nutella omelette as dessert, that was good. The place is quite small, but there aren't too many tables, so it feels comfortable. They also sell some French products, but they are very dear.
K. H.
Super friendly staff, bought 1 savory 1 sweet to take out and was still just as tasty when got home. Will be back to dine in for sure
G. (.
This cosy little place has some of the best pancakes around. Whether it is a sweet or savoury you won't be disappointed! And if you go for their grand menu (one savoury, one sweet and a drink) you definitely will not leave the cafe hungry.
They also do take away if you are in a hurry.
All round I have never been disappointed, and always satisfied,
A. A. V.
The best French crepe in London
G. S.
Very nice little creperie. We had a savoury and a sweet crepe both very nice. The reason of 4 stars rather than 5 is because of the poor extraction system, when I left I smelt of cooking.
A. B.
Tastiest French crêpes in London!! Made me feel like I was back home 🇫🇷 delicious and wide selection of Savoury and sweet crepes with ingredients imported from French britany! Highly recommended, for friendly service and tasty food 🔝😋
J. C.
La Petite Bretagne is a charming little place in Hammersmith that offers a truly scrumptious taste of France!
.
Their Crêpe menu has a wide selection of options, personally they are all great. The Crêpe mixture is naturally gluten-free.
.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking have something different for lunch or breakfast.
J. C.
La Petite Bretagne has, in my opinion, the best crepes in London!
Amazing service, the staff are really friendly. And the food is just mouthwatering.
J. C. N. d. B.
Delicious, authentic, French and perfect. Thank you!
K. G.
Huge gluten free pancakes with plenty of incredible toppings to choose from. What's not to love ❤
D. N.
Gluten free, tasty, wonderful
T. A.
Lovely place, relaxed, friendly staff and will take you back to that week you spent in Bretagne : )
T.
Really nice little lunch place, friendly staff and lovely food.
B. V.
Very friendly service and big range of choice. Always a good experience going there.
H. G.
Very nice little place and very authentic. The products are all home made and they offer gluten free crepes. Service is polite, friendly and quick. It is perfectly located just off Lyric Square.
S. B.
Love the crepes they sell in this place.
Great savory choices, as well as sweet choices.
It's a small place, but they also do take away.
H. C.
Had a delicious crepe here. perhaps the waiters could be a little more organised.
K. M.
Lovely place! The coffee and crepes were absolutelly delicious. The service is very good and very polite, which makes the overall experience worth 5+ stars!
H. T.
We visit this eaterie when in Hammersmith as the gallettes are gluten free (and delicious). Lovely little place.
M. R.
Really good crepes which are also gluten free. Wide selection of savoury and sweet fillings.
C. S.
An authentic French creperie! The staff and lots of their customers are French and their crepes are as good as some I tried in Paris.. l rarely convince myself to try something else than their delicious creme du marrons one but the savory ones are great too! Coffee is not to British standards and they once served me hot milk with my mint tea (?!?) but that just makes it all that more French. I would recommend instead trying their bottled french ciders or apple juice.
N. M.
Love this place for a sweet crêpe. They do great savoury food too. Nice and cosy without it feeling too awkward.
A.
Lovely galette au saumon which was delicious. Friendly and efficient service
E. G.
Small and cosy place, selling good coffee and savory and sweet variety of pancakes. My Nutella one was dripping chocolate everywhere 😍. No waffles that day though 😐
S. C.
Great service and amazing pancakes! Can't believe they're gluten free! We also got free drinks when they forgot our order. Very satisfied customers.
F. C.
Staff is super friendly and the crepes are really good! What else do you need to know? Oh right, the menu is quirky and totally French! Super recommended!!
J. A. R.
Nice place and friendly staff. Unfortunately I discovered that I didn't like crepes... Sorry for that but if you like it I higley recommend this place. Nice atmosphere and the food is nicely presented on the plate
J. Y.
This lovely little crêperie has it spot on. Freshly made to order and free hot drinks before 11am. It's perfect for a breakfast or a cheeky indulgent take out lunch! Their chestnut jam is pretty amazing, but I would like to try their crepe suzette. Who doesn't like a bit of flambéing!?
If only I knew about this place when I lived in Hammersmith! Many missed weekend brunch visits. Also, do try their delicious salted caramel, you can buy it by the jar-load :D! And for the not so sweet-toothed,there are plenty of savoury alternatives to dribble over.
N. S.
So tasty, authentic French food
s. s.
Being french, I know what a good galette tastes like. We ordered two galettes with goat cheese, and they were flexible about changing the ingredients. The white chocolate crepe is out of this world.
H. o. l.
Lovely little cafe. Serves lovely crepes...sweet as well as savoury. Only down side hot chocolate was not hot .
L. D.
Lovely service and delicious galettes! The menu is great value for money too. Would highly recommend
P. R.
Crepes savoury and sweet r filling. Great value for money and great service.
L. B.
Food is delicious but there should be screens between each table because there is no distancing.
C. B.
Amazing food, super friendly staff! Loved it.
Merci
A. P.
A great authentic experience if you know what to look for in a cosy french creperie. Little difference with the ones back home. The staff is equally polite and smiling. I definitely recommend !!!
W. H.
Here you get to eat something different that is well presented and that will full you(big potion, i had to ask to put the rest in a take away box). Excellent service but the coffee!the coffee, i have no doubt saying, is the best cofee, you can get in hammersmith.
D. L.
Amazing crepes !!! Great value for money, friendly staff, nice little place.
I highly recommend the sweet crepes « salted caramel » and « raspberry madness ». To die for.
A. W.
A genuine french experience and, without a doubt, the best crepes in London!
L. W. F.
Love the set menu they offer. 13.95 for one savoury and one sweet + soft drink. Great value and great location. Lovely decorations and friendly staff!
K. M.
A regular winner of the Love Hammersmith Cafe of the Year this place is a real gem. Offering fresh and quick meals to the masses. There is a real range of traditional and contemporary toppings all made using buck wheat flour which is conveniently gluten free for those with intolerances. For a sweet treat try the Speculoos crêpe.
R. C.
Amazing crêpes for any time of day! Personal favourite is the Cafe Gourmond for a desert, Espresso served with 3 mini crêpes, white chocolate, salted caramel and nutella, heaven!
G. K.
I spent 6 months in Brittany in France so I know what a good crepe is, and theirs are delicious! And the staff is smiley and friendly, loved it
S. I.
The best coffee in town and great food too
K. H.
Love their waffle with nutella! Very friendly staff. Tiny place so sometimes can't feel comfortable but waffles make up for it!
C. V. S.
Great mocha, and great waffle. Friendly staff with an all round good vibe, and decent value for money. Definitely would return again.
D. J.
Very nice crepes, but I would like them even bigger for £5 a pop.
I could eat 10 of them, but that wouldn't be a good idea..... ;)
Open until 10pm on a Sunday also which is great for me.
S. T.
Authentic French gallette with cidre. Make sure you have the salted caramel dessert. My only criticism is that the "Grand Menu" only includes two crepes, and dinner requires 3 courses.
P. L.
Fantastic crepes, great service. Coffee is pretty strong!
A. B.
Crêpe Tradition, Thé, what more can I say? 😝 ♥
A.
Friendly staff and authentic crepes!
F. R.
Excellent crepes and good service. Reasonable prices. Suggestion for improvement would be a better ventilation at the place as your clothes will be smelling food for the rest of the day.
G. S.
Amazing crepes sweet and savory! Staff is very friendly and you can enjoy a nice french atmosphere!
A. K.
A cosy little crêperie with well-priced food and excellent service. They use buckwheat for their savoury crepes so if you're health conscious then this is the place for you.
R. J.
Very attentive. Clean and friendly, pleasant atmosphere, child friendly. Crepes are very very nice, gluten free available.
M. R.
Great crêpes, really good selection. Buckwheat crêpes are gluten free as well.
A. S.
Great crepes made by French staff. Tastes delicious and is an affordable option for lunch or dinner in Hammersmith area
N. I.
The crepes are good, but not great. The two crepes + drink menu is quite pricy. Still, a lovely and different option in Hammersmith.
S. L. F.
Great place..! My children love it. I am coming from Britanny and I have to say the crepes are Fantastic 👏🏻👏🏻🌺 . You have also some games downstairs for children. Service perfect..!!🌷
a. d.
Great little find across from hammersmith station. Somply decorated. Simple great tasting crepes made fresh. Nice wine and friendly staff. Yummy
P. G.
Excellent galettes and crepes with the real Breton touch. Original recipes. Only downside is that the place is really tiny and they are victim of their success.
G. R.
Great crepes, sweet and savoury! Try the Chevre and the Palerme!
Very nice and friendly staff!
K. W.
It was really good!
E. P. S.
Lovely friendly service. I enjoyed my breakfast - our next breakfast will be taking the whole team there. Its worth it - reasonably priced too.
J.
We live locally and love coming here. Always high quality and delicious French galettes, with plenty of options to choose from.
L. D.
I keep going back because they have friendly staff and the best authentic French creps in West London. The Alsacienne and Raspberry Madness are my favourites!
A. M.
The service and atmosphere were nice but the crepes we had were a bit soggy and didn’t taste of much. It’s a shame because it is a nice idea.
R. V.
Nice place very crowded too
B. B.
Great spot for anyone who has to avoid gluten. The entire menu is relatively allergen friendly. Excellent staff, highly attentive :]
K. 1.
Contemporary creperie offering sweet and savoury buckwheat pancakes and other Breton specialities.

M. C.
Nice simple crepes, good value, relaxed and quaint setting in the heart of Hammersmith. Friendly staff
H. K.
Proper Galette. Very filling, so don't worry to eat only one and still be hungry. Unlikely going to happen. But too much cheese for my taste on the Galette Complete.
C. H.
Lovely little restaurant to pop in to for a great quick meal. Crep was really good and I will go back again.
R. L.
If you're wanting something different then this isn't typical of the high street.

Best crepe in town. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Recommended
