This is a great steakhouse, no frills about it. Steak on a plate, simple as. Done properly and to order. I would absolutely go again. We had the sirloin with green beans and the tira de ancho (marinated in provencal) with mashed potato.

Came here for a birthday meal and it did not disappoint - the service was brilliant and the food was amazing! The staff were so attentive and kind and the atmosphere inside is really nice. Brilliant steakhouse! This restaurant could take on the “big guns” in Mayfair and Covent Garden. Easily the best local steakhouse in the area – and, to be honest, this restaurant could take on the “big guns” in Mayfair and Covent Garden. The quality of the meat is 5-Star, the wine-list is succinct and well composed, the execution of flawless. Great Restaurant! After dining here on 29th December, I found myself booking another visit on 1st January - if that's not a recommendation I'm not sure what is! And I've justed booked a table for my Birthday on 13-Jan!!!

Even though I am a vegetarian I am giving this steakhouse 5 stars! They have vegetarian options and if you are polite you may request something off the Menu😁.. Their professional chef, Martin, will not disappoint you. This is a family run business and there is something about families running restaurants. Their hard work and passion creates sublime food. We managed to get a seat by calling a couple of hours and luckily we did as it was a small-ish but delightful restaurant. We ordered the chef special ribeye (400g) and it was sumptuous & tender at medium rare. The empanadas was very good especially beef. Ended with the pancake with Nutella and ice cream. It was super busy on a Thursday night post COVID-19 reopening and we truly enjoyed this meal with a smile. Highly recommended!

I came to La Plata today 18.05.21. Not been here for at least 5 months. We ordered our food as usual. The steaks were amazing! Cooked to perfection! Only had room for the quick lunch. It never fails to surprise me. This part was from 2020. My family have finished what was meant to be a quick lunch. But when the food arrived, it became much more. Presentation was great, the steak (sweet, juicy and very tender). And then we come to the limited choice of desserts. They were all magic! We will be back here again soon, I'm sure. Absolutely love this place. Been here quite a few times since they've opened and never let me down. Staff is friendly and can manage my pickyness when it comes to food. When friends or family is coming to town I don't even think twice where to go. I personally don't eat meat but the restaurant has a great selection for someone with a pescatarian diet. Everyone from my family adores the steakhouse, best beef they've ever had. Massive sizes and so many different options for side dish pick from. Make sure you leave some room for the homemade desserts!! The cheesecake is amazing! I'm really glad we have you guys on sheen!!

I’ve only tried this restaurant a few times since lockdown, so this review is mostly based on the food delivered...and all I have to say is...it is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Fries are also very tasty (although they get a bit on the soggy side when delivered/being inside a container for a bit, so I would recommend maybe changing to paper bags?). I also bought some of their deli steaks from the counter once, they were good quality and maybe even cheaper than the local butchers, plus whom I assumed to be the owner was very nice and helpful, even threw in some extra sauces with the steaks. Overall they seem to run a very friendly restaurant, as it was my impression. Hygiene is quite important to me, and the place looked spotless when I visited to buy the steaks. It also has a 5* hygiene rating (the best one possible), for those who don’t really spend time looking into that kind of thing. I haven’t tried to order cooked steaks for delivery yet, but I’ll definitely be going to visit the restaurant once we are allowed.

Great place! Very proper Argetinian cuts! Would totally advice mixing their homemade chimichurri sauce with each piece of meat, it does give it a complete new taste. The delightful creamy spinach that we had is totally the best option as a side although the chips were on point (crispy around and soft inside). They offer a full range of wines and also serve Quilmes which is the proper argetinian beer. Would totally recomend it under any circunstances!

This place is fantastic! This has got to be one of my favourites for quality of meat - I had the chef's special rib eye steak with their house Provencal sauce. The meat was tender and juicy with lots of flavour. The wine choice was varied and sophisticated which perfectly complemented the meat. If I could give a 6 stars for the main course and wine I would. However, I think the starters need a little work as did not match the same quality as the main. Overall a very pleasant evening

Finding the right steak to your best liking is like betting for a team on the field - it’s almost a lottery. Stepping into La Plata, a friendly voice made sure I was at home. Starting with the empanadas, the pastry was crispy and beautifully browned to encase the hero of a filling - the chicken was particularly kicking with piquant and yumminess. The feta salad was a great compliment to it, and when they say feta, they mean feta, loads of it, with olives, and as if they know me, jalapeno peppers. The stars of the meal, of course, were the steaks. I had the rump, and the rib-eye. (Did I hear you say greedy?) What can I say, it is chargrilled to perfection. Juicy, plump, with the smokiness hitting your senses even before you chew on it. Then there was dessert. The pancake had a wonderful chewy texture, and the dulche de leche filling: on point. I can only say I am so glad I found this place, and inevitably, an essential piece of Argentina.

Drinks (including a beautiful bottle of pinot noir) were served swiftly and after a mouth watering selection of starters, we were served the most delicious steaks I’ve ever tasted. As far as steak restaurant's go, this little gem is probably one of the best Great decor Lovely ambience The service is excellent The staff are so polite and attentive. Now for the food.......the steaks are some of the best I've tasted. I went with my sister, and we had calamari and chorizo as a starter, it was amazing! I had ribeye, one of the best steaks! I loved it, cooked to perfection....medium rare, as it should be, obviously the chef takes great pride in his food and is proud to serve excellent food or it doesn't leave the pass. That's experience and it shows in the food. Tasty.......succulent heaven !!!! In my experience at dining out......and I dine out alot, the staff in most restaurant's even though polite etc don't compare somehow to these guys......they really care about their customers. They come round making sure you are happy with your food and they couldn't do enough for you to make your experience a very good one. That's how it should be......a great dining experience. We enjoyed it immensely. We will definitely return. I will bring my other friends here, they need to experience their food and service.......and so do you!! Thanks!

What a treasure! Where looking for a pre-Christmas dinner with partner in Richmond, but everything looked boring. So we decided to go to La Plata steakhouse for some argentine beef. It took us 10minutes to get there but the food was outstanding and well priced. I had some mouth-watering rib-eye steak which was out of this world. Just simply the best piece of meat I have ever had. My partner had a fillet which was also the same! There are plenty of Argentine Malbec to go with the red meat and we choose Piatelle. What a combo! The restaurant itself is very clean, cozy aund warm and service is very fast and not annoying as some places! Well what else can I say?! It a 10 out of 10 and highly recommended!

Went on Wednesday night and initially I was the only one in the restaurant. Menu all sounds tasty, I went for the set menu available Monday to Wednesday, 3 courses and drink for £20... Chorizo for starters was tasty, but I feel it is missing something to go with it... I had the burger for mains and the seasoning of the meat was superb, one of the best burgers I have ever eaten... Chocolate tart for pudding was delicious too, thoroughly full with delicious food... The waitress was very efficient at her job and if I lived in the area I'm sure I would visit again to try the steaks... Thank you :)

As someone who is quite fussy when it comes to steak, I have found La Plata to be an absolute revelation. I have lived in the area for almost 10 years and it so refreshing to have found a local steak house which matches and indeed exceedes the quality of central London steakhouses. This is a relaxing way of having a meal, the meat is of superior quality and the atmosphere is lovely. Nicely decorated. Menu is great and the wine selection is small but good. The only complaint I have is the wait staff. They are clumsy and untrained. If you need anything be prepared to wait 20 min for them to notice you. I ask them a question and they shrug their shoulders and look around as if to find the answer in the ceiling. As for the food, steaks were way undercooked but came back perfectly after sending them to the kitchen. Emapadas were amazing as well as the cimmicurri. This is a lovely new resturant that just needs a bit of tweaking. Otherwise I really enjoyed it.

It was a lovely early dinner with booking from 17:45. The nice russian looking waitress was polite and welcoming as well as had a good knowledge of the menu. Pros: Great steak. Very tatsy and really good calamari. Cons: No Rump steak and no Pork belly. My partner is not a fan of fat so rump would have been ideal as fillet is more premium. We ate sirloin steaks and they were really tasty but obviously had a strip of fat on the side. Not a huge issue as i ate it. Meat was not really medium rare but thats just personal. Unfortunately there was a horrible alarm from a business close by that kept on going off the entire meal until the doors were closed. The staff at La plata could not do much about that. Its a small place with good service and really tasty food. I would however get bigger ramekins as they are pretty small but i do just love homemade sauce. Really liked the blonde waitress and that the owner/manager waved goodbye at the end. Its a pity about the lack of Rump steak but with this government scheme on i cant complain as i get to try many new places for a fraction of the cost
