Reviews of Lahore Karahi
D. K.
Great food, and great service. The staff are friendly, and polite. The starter arrived 5 minutes after ordering, then the main arrived 10 minutes later. The food was lovely. I had a meat vindaloo, super spicy.

A friendly family run place serving authentic Pakistani dishes. I had the Chef’s Speciality Haleem, a hearty dish I would consider one of the best comfort foods - lamb and lentil Haleem is a soupy stew enriched with lentils, tender fall-off-the-bone meat, green chillis and fresh ginger. Hard to photograph but believe me it’s good. The rest of the family had chicken methi and chicken Korma with hot fresh naans, the one stuffed with meat being particularly popular. Our daughter thought it was the best korma she had ever had, particularly as it was NOT sweet like so many take-away versions. We enjoyed everything. It plain and simple good family cooking you can’t go wrong with that.

Just rode a time machine...now 30 and haven't been here since I was 6 years old.
Let's call this part 1 as I ate the mains before taking pics....I'll be back.
What can I say after tooting becoming gentrified this place as moved and changed with the times in it's decor and service.
Located next to tooting market...free parking after 6pm
A 20 mins wait for 2 on a busy Saturday night was expected but a well controlled que system. You can book inadvance if your not last-minute.com like me.
If you like taking pictures of food and restaurants your in the right place. Decor is light vibrant and current. That flowers dangling from the ceiling without the hayfever attack.
But the food remains amazing. The flavours are to die for. Ill review the starters and include pictures as the mains got devoured. Onion bhaji and meat somosa crunchy exterior soft and tender interior. Best bhaji I've ever eaten in a restaurant. The mixed grill comes in three sizes. Juicy sizzling different cuts of meat crazy flavours.
I'll be back for Part 2 of lahore Karachi a

Amazing food, the best south Asian food I've tasted in this country and affordable, great prices. Amazing service and atmosphere. Although very packed would recommend to reserve a table otherwise may have to wait a while.

This place became One of my favourite restaurants in Tooting so delicious food and clean also so friendly staff;) I really enjoyed the food tonight.
R. D.
Easily the best Pakistani food in London. Authentic taste and interior decor. We loved the long list of items available on the menu.
The staff seemed overwhelmed with orders and there could be a wait for your order to arrive. We had to call out the staff few times to remind them about our order.
Other than that the food was mind blowing. If you like spicy and hot south Asian food then this is the place to be. Be ready to spend though as it’s not cheap. But it’s worth every penny!
N. K. (.
The place has been fully transformed and updated from before. The new décor is really nice.
The food was good, we ordered a variety of starters and mains to share between 3 of us and it was more than enough to completely fill us up. I personally would recommend 1 starter and main per person with rice or naan to not over order. And the mango lassi is delicious!
The restaurant was accommodating to covid distancing and cleaning. With hand sanitizer available and additional seating and spacing available upstairs. The staff were understanding and friendly towards us all.
There is free parking in the area after 5:30pm.
I hope you have found this review helpful 🙂

Newly renovated restaurant although I don't think the top floor is being used apart from party hire venue.
I love the introduction of the omelette parathas (my favourite) and the Lahori falooda.
The food is less spicy than Dawat, which is probably one of the reasons for its popularity, but, personally I prefer spicier food.
Compared to Dawat, the service here is far quicker and they don't get orders wrong, which is great.

Excellent food
Went for an early breakfast
Had Haleem - very authentic, very tasty
Paya was well made
Puri chana and halwa was very very nice
Meat samosa was good
Prawns pakoda was nice as well
Parcelled chicken biryani and meat biryani...both were very nice
Definitely coming back for more

This indiand restaurant is so good! Dishes are very tasty and big portions. The place can be a bit crowded as it is very popular, but if you love Indian food, this restaurant is a must go if you are in the area. The prices are reasonable and the service is good, it can be a little slow but it is so worth it.
A. J. N.
Their food is very fresh, and I like that you can pick the level of spiciness you desire. I am not a big fan of super extremely spicy food. I personally like savoury food, and want to be able to taste the ingredients, but my friend on the other hand loves his really spicy. The ability to choose varying degrees of spiciness helped a lot! I ordered my food mild, and my friend ordered his HOT! You can order your food mild, medium or hot here. We were both extremely pleased with the results. The inside of the restaurant is clean, comfortable and had an energetic atmosphere. However, the food is so good, you really won't pay attention to the ambiance once you begin eating. I totally forgot music was playing in the background once I began eating. The staff were nice as well. They didn't hover over us, checked on us as needed. The location is great too. We enjoyed a movie at the ODEAN after our meal.

Delicious food 😋 the line was coming out the door, waited a while to be seated. Popular restaurant, lovely service. This restaurant definitely should expand 😊
T. Y.
Very satisfied with the food we ordered, affordable and good quality.
The annoying thing was; cooking smells' emanating from its kitchen were left on our clothes badly.
h. d.
I was treated to a lovely meal. I was truly blessed by the great food we both ate. The best garlic naan I have ever had. The quality of the different dishes to the very satisfying sauces. So much choice. The place had an excellent ambiance and nothing was too much trouble. The only one thing I can think of if I go again I would like a bigger table to experience more different dishes.
B. P.
Great food, vegan and veggie options clearly marked and the vegan dishes all tasted different to each other - even the aubergines vs aubergine with chickpeas dishes, which is great! a lot of other places can end up being a generic veg offering that’s all the same.
Clearly marked vegan vs veg breads too is helpful.
Extra star for me would be more vegan options, and a bit more description as to what each dish is on the menu, that said, the busy staff took time to explain what was what when asked.
BYOB - £1.50 corkage is reasonable I think!
R. M.
Lahore Karahi has history in Tooting. They've recently refurbished the joint and it looks and feels prestige. The food is always 10/10 here, mixed grills, kebab rolls, biryani, the lot!
£1 charge to BYOB which is great for a celebration or meet up with friends.
Highly recommended if you're in Tooting.
N. R.
We tried the Halwa puri and chana breakfast, was a little underwhelmed with the quality of chana and the quantity really. Also ordered Mughlai Biryani to take away, which was on point. Would definitely go back, but not for breakfast.
R. K.
Food was amazing! Highly recommend. I had visited with my family and the food was very delicious! My whole family enjoyed it. Loved the employees as well, great service. Coming back soon to try new items.😆👍
R. R.
Very busy place allowing customers to queue inside the restaurant on a narrow passage during the peak of the pandemic is not ok! Food is hit or miss. The chicken dishes are nice. The prawn curry was too oily - looked like prawn oil soup more than curry. Some tasty things on the menu.
R. C.
Delicious! The food was really amazing. The prices are a bit lower compared to the restaurants in the area, the portions are big, tasty and authentic (at least for what I tried). Definitely worth stopping to try their curry and butter chicken!
C. A.
I came across this place by chance, on my way to a friend nearby. I popped in the next day and the waiter was delightful. The food was excellent. The gravy was thick and tasty (just how I like it!). Definitely recommend it to anyone.
A. C.
We ordered take-out from here pretty late, but they did an amazing job despite closing soon after! The Chicken Karahi that I ordered was spiced just right—and the spicy level was appropriate! My friend ordered vindaloo with lamb spicy and said it was excellent! That’s high praise from him. We’re both a bit picky about Indian food, but loved our curries and breads! Will definitely order again.
J. V.
I don't leave alot of reviews, but had such a great experience I felt compelled to! The food was delicious and our servers were so sweet and attentive. Thanks for a great date night and well prepared, tasty dishes.
N. C.
4 x chefs on a night out. They found us a table. And we were not disappointed. Such wonderful food, and the service was fantastic as were the front of house staff. This is a definite restaurant to return to. We'll deserved 5*'s. Congratulations.
U. R.
It was packed when I went yesterday but now understand why; fantastic good, staff helpful and love how well they managed the waiting customers. Defiantly would go again and recommend to others for eating in and also take away which I did yesterday.
H. W.
I don't leave alot of reviews, but had such a great experience I felt compelled to! The food was delicious and our servers were so sweet and attentive. Thanks for a great date night and well prepared, tasty dishes.
H. T.
A really colorful place, has very laid back vibe to it. The food quality and taste are both really great. And the prices are reasonable as well. The service might be little underwhelming, but everything else is great.
A. M.
Very good Pakistani food in Tooting. Food quality and service was great! The waiter and manager was helpful in describing the dishes. Don't forget to bring a nice bottle of wine to go with the food. BYOB
K. W.
I absolutely love ordering take out from here. They make the best Pakistani food in London. My daughter can eat their chicken biryani like 4 times a week. Amazing amazing food.
S. P.
Dine-in experience:
the recent renovation has really upgraded the ambience inside and complements the fantastic food well. We had the breakfast gems - Halwa Puri and Omlette paratha besides Pakoras and Samosas!! Service is nice and efficient, once you’re hooked keep going back!
Delivery experience:
Food is great. But NEVER EVER get delivery from then directly (UberEats Deliveroo is ok but an hour at least). No customer service number to call. If only they took care of their delivery business
A. T.
We just loved the place. Food was amazing. We ordered vegetarian dishes and it turned out wow. We asked them to make a bit spicy and it was perfect. We will surely visit again.

Great food, great staff and great ambience! We’ve been here many times and enjoy the food so much. We loved the new refurbish, especially the upstairs area. It looks fantastic and really adds to the dining experience. We will definitely be back again.
C. F.
Wonderful, welcoming restaurant with excellent food. Our kids love the breads and lamb korma. Also recommend the masala fried fish and both meat and veg samosas, and all the veggie/vegan dishes (plus karahi of course). Always busy and a great dining room that has recently been refurbished.
D. H.
I went to Lahore Karahi yesterday with my family to celebrate my birthday and had a lovely time. The food was delicious, great service, the staff are very nice and friendly and very good prices. Will definitely go back.
A. E.
Absolutely delicious! Good amount of food for the price, and the quality was excellent (not heavy and tasteless like some other restaurants). Will definitely return the next time we drive through Tooting.
S. G.
The taste is fantastic. Great flavours and well made. We got a mixture of meat, veggie, and vegan options. All were top-notch. I highly recommend exploring the option.
W. W.
The food was delicious! I had the Chicken Karahi and the Vegetable Samosas. However, make sure to order the mild if you aren't good with heat! The food was great and I would definitely come back!
J. M.
Got ubereats from here today and WOW. The food was amazing, spicy and hot, and the garlic naan was to die for. Great portions too. Tasted so good it didn’t even feel like it was takeout food!
a. G.
After 15+ years of eating Indian food all over London, this is the one. Reasonably priced and amazing curries! I moved too far to order it now 😞 but still want to give it the respect it deserves.
J. R.
We have been trying to find the best curry house in Tooting and think we have now!! I went with my wife and parents and the staff are super friendly and the food was great. Would highly recommend and will be back. Thanks
D. F.
Beautiful restaurant with delicious traditional Indian dishes. I loved it and I will definitely go back with my wife. Amazing spot to try! I highly recommend!
y. s.
Perfect to dine in with family and friends , food is served hot and full of authentic flavors.
S. G.
Went with some friends a few nights ago. All of the food we ordered was super delicious. The guy waiting on us was so sweet and very accommodating. He pointed out all of the vegan options for me and all of the dishes without dairy for my friend with food sensitivities. Now I'm craving some more chana aaloo.
S. T.
Amazing food, friendly staff. Purely in love with their event sitting room upstairs .
A. N.
Lahore Karahi is Tooting is competitively priced. It is located on the busy main road.
The food tastes good specially Biryani dishes. It seems very popular so I think gets busy. The staff here are nice when they served us.
L. P.
Very nicely done up from the old version... Very busy.. need a few more staff members when it is fully packed.
Also they have used the wrong flooring the floor was very very very slippery from greese.
Food was A1 fresh and tasty.
M. T.
"I’ll keep this short, but I’ll say I have never liked Pakistani food in my whole life… but I decided to humour my husband and try it one more time since he really wanted it.
Let me just say, I now love Pakistani food and Lahore Karahi is my favourite restaurant. We pretty much eat it several times a month!"
E. B.
Amazing! The food is great with a kick. I am surprise that the reviews are only at 4/5. The staff were so attentive, kind and patient since sometimes I am indecisive on food choices.
W. E.
Beautiful decor inside the restaurant and atmospheric. Had dinner with my Mum on a Thursday night, we were both so impressed with the food and service. Clearly not greasy and really flavorsome. I will definitely return
B. L.
Quality of food is amazing. I have never been to such a good Indian cuisine restaurant.
Recommend this place to everyone who is looking for quality food and excellent service.
D. E.
Food is good. Long wait times and hassle finding parking. Shami Kebabs are the best as well as biryani. Curry dishes are good however the kebabs are the main dish I think which stands out the most.
J. S.
Brother Numan is amazing person
Best food in london
& Best service by Ahmed
10/10
Definitely recommended 10🌟
A. L.
The food deserves 5*. I went there twice and it’s consistently great. The restaurant is VERY busy on the weekend which affects the service. After our meal we also ordered some take away. One dish was missing from our bags, even though we were told they double checked. As I checked the bags in the restaurant, we got our missing item. After coming back home I realised that they gave me chicken karahi instead of lamb that I ordered. That’s why I’m taking away one star.
F. V. D.
I wanted to say thanks to your staff for a great job at our party! The food was delicious and enjoyed by all. We had a great evening and really appreciate the wonderful service.
D. H.
The place offers a vast range of delicious food. I love eating here. Employees are always friendly, prices are convenient and the place is always kept clean
T. A.
Not a bad place to eat I would say. Pakistani cuisine and breakfasts are available here. Though my personal experience was not so great. They reallt need to keep the tables clean from the dusts. Also, their utensils seems extremly old enough which needs a change. Otherwise, food was good and the guys are welcominng. I would recommend for a quick grab.
E. S.
Personally, I would say no one can beat their Meat Karahi, 5 stars for Karahi only. Full of flavours and tastes at its best. Rest of the menu is OK. Their manager looks after the customers really well
A. B.
Food was ok, very spicy (there is no indication on menu of spice levels which would really help). Politely rushed off our table having been there for less than an hour as it was very, VERY busy which almost ruined it. The queuing system for non bookers was shocking to see, luckily our table wasn’t right next to them as it would have been extremely awkward to have them there staring at you while you eat.
R. m.
My first time eating Indian food and hands down was delicious! The garlic bread was so addicting and curry was good. Mmm yummy 🤤
R. L.
This place always tastes great and is open until midnight. Also, if you love really spicy food they can do that if you request it. Love this place!
M. F.
Very nice service!! Food is delicious and atmosphere very nice as well as soothing. Best curry house I’ve ever been too:) Chicken biryani is my fav dish here! Highly recommended. Wonderful staff
J. M.
We’ve had great experiences at Lahore Karahi - both dining in and as takeout. The garlic naan is so good and we love the chicken tikka masala. The main menu is great and offers sizable portions for the price. We’ve never had a problem getting seating and the food usually comes pretty quickly. We’ve tried a handful of other places in London but this is still hands-down our favorite Indian restaurant in London!
P. W.
Have really nice experience with this restaurant. Delicious food and my husband broke glass 🍸, but they really gave nice service.. Thank you so much Lahore Karahi team. Great service.
S. R.
For anyone looking at a fine dining experience, this is the place you want to visit specially if you are craving authentic Indian cuisine. The service was excellent and we tried the butter chicken which was creamy and delicious.
P. A.
Wow! I ordered food for dinner. Delicious! I got the veggie samosa- perfect, crispy without being greasy. I also got the chicken tikka masala and the pilao rice- so flavorful and fresh!!
B. J.
This is now my new favourite Indian restaurant. Everything I've tried is amazing. I can't wait to go back for their Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan.
C. C.
Enormous quantity in the small hamper. Enough for three people and highly affordable with a variety of dishes
N. H.
Incredible food, friendly and accommodating staff, a great buzz and atmosphere - this place is a Tooting institution and well worth a visit!!
F. D.
Amazing... great food and affordable prices. Enjoyed the atmosphere and delicious bites. Pair with your favorite beer or c because it’s byob.
B. N.
I ordered delivery of Chicken Tikka Masala with rice and garlic naan. It was really pretty quick and came wrapped securely. The food was delicious and had a subtle hot spicy flavour.
F. G.
Been here a couple of times and really enjoyed the food!
D. G.
Tried the chef's speciality menu and it was wonderful! Friendly staff and overall nice experience. Would highly recommend.
R. T.
We celebrated our daughter's birthday at Lahore Karahi. It was very well arranged. Food was on time. The staff was very organised and always accommodating for any changes we suggested, even last minute adding dessert for all the guests. The food we had picked was a hit for our families. The pakoras were fresh -on point and we all enjoyed a lot. The mixed grill was as always delicious and the naan were as I had requested. Only little thing to improve would be that placing the food around the guests could have been more organised. Overall a great bday celebrated at Lahore Karahi.
M. T.
Great Curry and HUGE portion sizes. Lovely staff and good value. Highly recommend the Meat Karahi!
C. C.
Great food, quick service. Food came out really quick. The desserts were great. I love the atmosphere.
H. F.
Best Indian food I've ever had. And it was 11pm! Been going there for years! It's consistently good.
D. M.
The food here was fantastic, and all the staff were so very kind. Definitely go spicy! And the mango lassi was amazing!
F. R.
Excellent tasty food. The Iftar hamper is excellent value for money and just like a buffet in a box with so much selection. Highly recommend Lahore Karahi.
L. J.
Absolutely one of my favourite place for Indian food. The best part? Bring your own drink. The food is incredible and tasty. That was a great discovery
M. T.
I have visited this place several times and the food was always brilliant. Price is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend to try out this place.
B. A.
Great food, mixed grill is a must to have when you visit this place, parking can be a issue but it was well worth it. 5 stars all day long.
N. k.
Last Night I had dinner at Lahore Karahi , Amazing food specially Lamb Chursi Karahi , fantastic services. Restaurant beautifully decorated and really professional Staff. Would recommend this to everyone. Numan Iqbal, the owner, was amazing. I warmly welcomed and served well, highly recommended.
E. E.
Fantastic dinner! Every dish had a great depth of flavor, and slow building heat added to it with every bite, but never felt overwhelming or underseasoned.
S. A.
Some of the best food I've had. We tried the saag paneer, butter chicken, and peshwari naan. Everything was excellent. Service was great too. We left stuffed and happy.
B. O.
When a restaurant is packed to the brim you can tell that it's a good omen. Lahore Karahi - as the name suggests - was no disappointment. Northern Indian / Pakistani / Kashmiri cuisine served mainly in bucket-like Karahi dishes. If you've ever visited Balti restaurants in Birmingham you'll already be familiar with the concept. Cutlery not required, just fresh, fluffy naan bread to mop up the food in your Karahi. I opted for tarka daal and vegetable jalfrezi with some naan bread. Absolutely delicious, but way too much so I had enough left for take-out. Staff were friendly and even more so when I went back for a second time. BYOB if you want to drink alcohol. Prices are reasonable, hence the buzzing atmosphere.
W. I.
Food is delicious, staff is very good but for me it's very congested. Need more space.
Due to food and staff I'm giving 4* but I hate the layout and space
W. S.
Outstanding service throughout the evening. One of the staff recommended the meat biryani and chicken tikka masala which were phenomenal. We will definitely be back!
R. H.
Best Resturant in London. Always love there good. Brilliant food with Best quality. All staff and everything is super perfect 👌.
R. C.
Great food as usual. Service was little disappointing tonight. But still highly recommended. Best Pakistani restaurant in Tooting.
J. D.
Awesome place where you can have tasty quality indian food. The service is awesome!! Must visit
E. H.
Omgggggggggg this was the best food I’ve had in a long long time. My first experience eating Indian and all I can say is WOW I can’t wait to come back ! Thank you
E. N.
Amazing food. All dishes were divine. Great service.
Would come back again and again!!
H. B.
Love this place, excellent food every time. Grill and curries are fantastic value for money and to me, the best garlic naan in town ♥️
T. M.
We're enjoying a meals and very tasty
J. J.
Food was delicious and the presentation was great. It was worth the price. Highly recommend going to Lahore Karahi at least once.
J. F. (.
Lovely lovely food! Very kind and forgiving staff, but the Paya (Chef's Special), although a beautiful mutton dish, did not come with ANY meat on the bone 😅
F. K.
The level of authenticity is amazing, proper Pakistani cuisine at a very Reasonable price. Love everything we ordered.
D. A.
Ordered takeout from here a few days ago...some of the best Indian food I've had...Dal Tarka is spectacular...reminded me of home...thank you!!
H. G.
Really great, spicy dishes that are well presented. Service was very friendly, average priced for the food.
D. M.
Best Pakistani food I have ever had.**Period**. I have been home from vacation for 4 days now and I still cant stop thinking about the meal I had here.
E. M.
This place made me like Pakistani food and we go there regularly because I'm craving Lahori food! I haven't had anything that was not tasty
H. D.
Been going here for 20 years, one of the best spots in the city for some very tasty and quick eats for Pakistan food.
f. H.
Food was great so was the server, everything came fast and the food is not too pricy overall really great experience totally going to go back.
M. U.
Great food ! Clean and an ideal place for lunch. The poppadom and the condiment specifically is amazing.
S. R.
There Sindhi Biryani is to die for no wonder I seen it on many customers tables . I also got the medium mixed grill and a chicken madras . Very flavoursome , they provide a huge portion as well which includes lamb chops mutton tikka chicken tikka chicken wings and mutton seekh kebabs . Came all the way from Birmingham after hearing great reviews about this place and I was not left disappointed at all :)
E. V. C.
So amazing food! Love all!!
N. S.
What an amazing experience! BYOB! The food was amazing… we were guided on our choices. Absolutely loved it!!!
A. P.
Everything was settled out in a couple of emails, including the fee, the day, and the time. The repair was completed as promised, and the engineer performed an excellent job on the project.
C. N.
If if wasn't fantastic before it is truly something special now.
The restaurant was known to be one of the best curries in tooting but the canteen feel with aggressive lighting let the place down.
Now with a new interior fit out and also a new chef, who has reworked many of the dishes, especially for the ever popular vegetarian, the place is fantastic.
Amazing curry at a reasonable price with great service.
BYOB - £1 corkage
E. E.
I ate here twice. Delicious food, big portions, byo, fast friendly accommodating service.
J. F.
Delicious Indian food. If only the food matters to you, then this is definitely a place worth checking out.
P. R.
All the dishes I ordered were delicious. I especially loved the chicken vindaloo
Z. S.
Best place for Pakistani food in London. Food tasted very fresh and starters were delicious.
R. W.
Great food and friendly, efficient service. Everything is made fresh to order.
s. z.
Tasty Pakistani restaurant. We really enjoyed the variety of currys we tried, chicken, mutton, all full of flavour and fantastically cooked. Tasty nan bread and perfect rice so all good so far. The starters from the grill, lamb chops, kebab, chicken tikka, were ok, a bit overcooked but tasty. The menu is difficult to understand because it only states the name of the dish so you don't know what it is aside from the type of meat it has. The service is ok but not very friendly or organised. It's a bring your own bottle and they accept cards. Tasty but not more than 3 star rating in my opinion.
Z. M.
Great place to eat.
I was out with family and decided to give it a try.
The mixed grill was cooked to perfection with the right amount of spices.
We also had a fish tikka which great texture and seemed to melt in the mouth.
Will try again sometime in the future.
a. b.
Always very good food and BYOB. Staff always happy to explain and help. Food incredible and all very good value
C. C.
The best Lamb Rogan Josh in the city, I like it extra spicy with some garlic naan.
N. K.
I have been going Lahore Karachi for over 20 years. They are successful, because foods are made to an artisan quality. And prices are affordable.
O. D.
Really tasty and high quality food, but painfully slow and inattentive service. Had to ask repeatedly for someone to take our order, and for some tap water, and waited a very long time for food to arrive (despite other table arriving after us and being served first).
U. A. S.
Amazing food!! Paya and halwa puri and karak tea! Great value for money!
P. R.
One of the best Pakistani restaurants in London, food was finger licking, will definitely visit again.
A. Z.
Food - bhirayni slightly greasy, mixed grilled very good, good starters, naan bread very dry.
Service - good
Interior - seating was a bit squeezed with other bookings.
C. W.
The food here is really delicious. It just melts in your mouth. Truly amazing! The customer service is great too! This place is always busy so it must be well-loved by the community.
S. B.
One of the best places to get a curry in London. The house special curries - meat Karahi, chicken Karahi, etc - are all different sauces so you can safely order one of each without worrying about duplication.
E. D.
My friend introduced me to this place and the food was so delicious! Good large portions, Definitely recommend!
K. F.
Thank you, Lahore Karahi. Very happy with the services you provided and the punctuality was Perfect! Arrival time was perfect!!!!
S. W.
Great food & service. Large portions. There were people queuing to get in! Would definitely recommend :)
C. B.
Best experience ever, thank you so much Mr. Numan to make my Moms birthday special. Love the food and quality.
B. b.
Oh the Name is enough, best food so far. SO Many options to choose from. I felt like I'm back home ❤️😍
M. P.
Very good cheapish and cheerful Pakistani Restaurant. Much of the food is pre-prepared: nothing wrong with that! However the birianies are prepared to order they are always good and often stunning; at least one of their chefs adds lots of tamarind and fresh mint to produce the best biriani I've ever tasted.
I.
Came here for desserts. Loveddd the milk cake 😋😋 need to come back to try the food next time!
J. L.
Superb service and absolutely love their food. I highly recommend this Pakistani restaurant food. I will return soon.
H. M.
Great food and ambiance. Luis (server) made great recommendations.
A.
Had a nice dinner in Labore Karahi a while back. Ordered the butter chicken which was quite delicious! Definitely recommend it 👍🏽
E. L.
Easily my new favourite curry house in London. They've had a big update to the interior during lockdown and a new chef who has given vegetarian dishes their own place at the table, not just a forgotten add-on. Chana, Baingan and Tikka Masala Paneer standout dishes.
F. H.
Very nice food. Food was so delicious couldn't wait to take the pic of the food
I. S.
Very nice place to sit and dine with the family. Clean nice environment.
I've gone for Lamb Charsi Karahi and Peshwari Naan.
N. R.
There's no shortage of great South Asian food in this neighborhood, but in my mind, this restaurant is one of the most authentic.
B. T.
Excellent choices of tasty dishes with good service. Good recommendation for place to eat in Tooting
M. J. Q.
Overall food is nice but I love the butter chicken and samosa chaat awesome
M. L.
Food quality is pretty good. However, wait is too much.
E. R.
Very good curry, they food is great. Love the chicken tikka masala. 5 stars for LAHORE KARAHI
G. Y.
There are local foods in this place which from 🇵🇰. The breads are absolutely delicious. The foods are spicy a bit but very very delicious. Must try
R. M.
Amazing Indian food with lots of options! My favourite Indian dish is Tarka Daal and they have the best in town I have found!
A. D.
Delicious samosa and butter chicken over rice. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
M. H.
Food fresh, and taste amazing service was good. So much better than TASTE OF LAHORE
P. G.
Great quality food. I always go for the seekh kebab an mutton Karahi. I particularly love their milk cakes. Very reasonably priced as well.
S. K.
Best food, period. You can't go wrong eating here for the real taste.
S. B.
The staff are so attentive to details. I loved the meat biryani, it was so packed with flavors. Def going back again.
R. F.
Very friendly, prompt and courtious service. Food was very delicious and will highly recommend. Must try it.
A. d. B.
The Keema Karahi was outstanding and the naan was fresh and hot. Unfortunately the shami kabab were not fresh and a bit dry. Kheer was very good. We’ll be back.
J. B. B.
This place is soooooo delicious and it's reasonably priced. Came in on a Saturday, food was amazing ... best thing is BYOB !!!!!!!!!!!
I. S.
Good food. Nice and elegant dining area. Best for takeout.
H. S.
Rally nice decor and food. Came in reasonable time and mango lassi actually tasted like proper mango lassi.
Food is homemade style and delicious.
H. N.
Great spot for dinner. BYOB with a small corkage fee. Veggie options as well.
P. K.
Very friendly and helpful service, plenty of options also for vegans. The dishes were freshly prepared and well seasoned but extremely oily and greasy. That spoiled the eating experience pretty definitely. I believe that the food would have been very good if they would not overload the dishes with oil. Also however the staff was very friendly, the waiter was walking around the table restlessly while we were eating which felt a bit as if we should finish soon.
S. E.
You will not be disappointed with the venue / choice / value for money
Just back from the restaurant and “ stuffed “
Definitely worth the visit
Thankyou guys
M. Z.
Each and every dish was delicious from mix grill to chicken karahi...wouldn't recommend the samosa chaat though
R. P.
Delicious food and amazing Kulfi. The staff is also friendly. A must try in the heart of Tooting.
T. P.
Superb food, arguably the best Curry in Tooting, Fish Karahi a firm favourite, highly recommended.
Q. S. H.
Good service. Price reasonable compared to the likes of You know that othet place that begins with Mac... where it cost more and it leaves you feeling hungry at the end.
No alcohol served. You can bring your own.
M. H. H.
Among the best place to have Halwa puri during the weekend. Regular visitor. Enjoying visiting every time.
E. G.
Excellent atmosphere, service, and food! Tried the butter chicken and garlic naan.
H. R.
Delicious food, very friendly people and byo :)
A. E.
I've gone here for 10 years plus and the food is always good plus very reasonably priced. It can get very busy on the weekends and loud. I would highly recommend this place.
N. A.
Very delicious! Great service! Great atmosphere!
F. H.
3 of us shared lamb, chicken, rice and a wrap. Excellent food, very reasonable prices
M. H.
Excellent service and good Food for everyone who knows the Restaurant in Tooting Broadway. I've been going to Lahori Karahi for a Long Time ⌛⏲️and love the variety of the Food dishes. Michael Hourigan.
J. L.
Everything was delicious! Highly recommend trying this place.
C. W.
Fantastic food, excellent service, and BYOB. What more could you want?
A. S.
No doubt 1 of the best restaurant in London i pound them with professional staff specially MR Pomi head manager & CH Zahid
J. M.
This is my go to Tooting curryhouse, eat in or take out it is superb.
Recently been done up inside and looks terrific.
C. M.
Nice atmosphere, food was nice, pricing average.. Will order from them 👍
M. B.
A really nice meal in nice surroundings that was good value for money - we'll definitely be back.
B. G.
Very professional service and good customer service better than other Pakistani restaurants.
J. R.
We love curry in a hurry, great tasting food and a kind staff.
T. M.
Great dine in Pakistani resto. Decent value great flavours and byo!
A. K.
Tried their Mango Lassi and samosa chaat, really good food and quick service.
A. B.
Food is good but I have to lower their rating due to their dishonesty. Our takeaway food did not include everything we paid for.
A. S.
Great variety of curries and rice. Popular restaurant/take away near Tooting Broadway. Decent prices. Polite servers. Check first but I think you can bring your own alcoholic drinks.
M. R.
Have a great service. Polite. Awesome food! Clean!
C. A.
Very nice place, authentic Pakistani cuisine and the crew is excellent.
A. F.
Food was yummy... But service isn't really good. They need to improve venue and service.
C. W. Y.
Very tasty food. Extremely busy on a Friday evening
F. R.
Great restaurant in Tooting. Better to eat in than takeaway in my opinion, food when eating in feels a bit higher in quality. I recommend trying some of the vegetarian options on the menu too - top notch. All in all, reasonably priced, BYOB, great time.
A. I.
This is the place most Asian people had tried and loved it. Smooth service on iftar time..
S. H.
Very good for mutton karai on the bone. Also ordered bhindi which was great. The aloo methi was terrible so will never order that again. The tandoori roti wasn't perfect but ok as it was hot. Service very slow so go prepared.
W. R.
This place is a heaven for food lovers. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
B. P.
This place is a heaven for food lovers. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
U. S.
Wow this place is popular! The queue was big but well worth the wait, food was so great and really enjoyable. Place is clean and service is great even though they look over run they seem to have it all under control
D. A. S.
Tasty food! The opening hours are good as well.
S. B.
Good food and ambiance and is not even very heavy on your pockets :)
T. T.
Great ambience, friendly staff, great food and service and very clean restrooms.
D. D.
Lamb curry was amazing:) plus butter nan-bread
A. R.
These days, sadly frequented by that bland crowd of non-Londoners who dress in pyjamas (you know the lot) and who need their taste buds and anxiety appeased.
m. r.
It was very pleasant experience food was yummmmmy and service was good.
S.
Not sure why this restaurant is so hit and miss. On a good day the food is fantastic, however lately it has been well below average. The nan bread lacked salt or any flavour, the kebabs were bland. Come on guys let's get back to what you are known for GREAT FOOD ! . However still the cleanest and best Pakistani food in tooting on a good day.
M. D.
Food was good (not excellent) but the service was terrible. Restaurant was clearly under staffed for the diners. Had to wait about 40 mins to get seated and then another wait for someone to pop over and take the order. Had to catch manager as it felt they had forgotten about us. It then took another 35-40 mins for the food to come over. Staff was apologetic and admitted they were under staffed. Food wasn’t bad in the end and slightly compensated for the delay, but overall it ruined the whole experience.
V. J.
The best of the town.... I've been there after approx 4 - 5 years. Quality still prime..., the best of it is the bring your own bottle facility. Prices has moved from around £7 to £9 (roughly) for a portion of curry, but its normal after 4-5 years.... Good service as usual... Keep it up.. 👍
S. N.
Staff are very friendly, but the food is way below expected. Both lamb and chicken biryani had no flavour. Lamb curry same.
The lamb biryani I bought around 5 pm was spoiled by 9 pm. Really disappointed.
S. C.
A true Tooting icon run by professionals. We love it. The food here is so tasty and their attitude is so focused on the customers service that we forgive all their mistakes on taking the orders, the delays and everything. The atmosphere is so casual and friendly that when we cross the door we just relax and enjoy. I personally recommend the Nihari (lamb), chicken karahi, chicken seekh, masala lamb chops, plain bread, stewed okra.
N. R.
Delicious authentic Pakistani food. They now cater for vegans which is great. The food is spicy and not tamed down for the Western pallet. Just go there, you won't be disappointed.
A. A.
Lovely, food mmmmm, little mixed up my food order, manager served me,I told him off, otherwise, really 👌
T. A.
I'm no expert in Pakistani cuisine, but this was probably the best curry meal I've ever had. We shared onion bhajis, seekh kebab, chicken methi, bhuna gosht, saag paneer, pilau rice, keema naan and peshwari naan. Delicious from start to finish. I can completely see where the grumbles come from about wait times and queuing though. It was heaving when we walked in - we'd booked, but the staff had no interest in that! Thankfully we struck lucky - three tables finished their meals just after we arrived so the queue was gone and we were seated in no time.
R. S.
Lovely food and very accommodating staff. Try the mixed grill, tarka dal, saag gosht or lots of vegetarian choices. Loads of great restaurants around Tooting!
T. J.
Very good service, must try chicken tikka and lassi 🙂
A. M.
Staff were attentive without being overbearing, vegetarian food was of an amazing standard with just the right amount of burn (spice) to them. Portion size was generous and I certainly didn't leave hungry.
Lastly we required some vegan dishes to take out and these were prepared swiftly and without issue, the waiter kindly advised what we could order and explained how it would be made freshly and I'm a vegan manner.
I will be going background again soon and for many more times after that I hope
F. A.
Nice food, specially nan bread. Kebab roll
D. A.
Food was amazing each dish better than the next
Z. W.
Best halwa puri. Fresh authentic puri and halwa like it should be. Ordered extra/finished all. 👍
K. W.
This establishment has been around for several years and serves up some authentic and tasty food. It has a good selection of food on offer but the quality can be hit and miss and unfortunately the last time we visited the portions were soaked in oil.
N. W.
I am going to make this short and sweet. Go there! Order Lamb Charsi Karahi!
q. k.
This place serves good Pakistani cuisine.
I went here for my mum's wedding (the guests we served food on the top deck of the restaurant) and after my university graduation. A good memorable restaurant.
I gave it one less star because you can bring your own bottle of alcohol. (Alcohol is not permitted in my religion)
M. S.
The portion of the food is huge! Taste also really nice. Although mango lassi very sweet, too sweet. Quite busy place but we didn't wait too long. Very loud inside, we couldn't talk to each other. Getting the bill took so long that we just left the table and paid on the way out. In general really nice.
A. K.
Haven't been here for years. Everything we ordered was great.
M. O.
Best Pakistani restaurant in the area hands down. I’ve been going here for 20+ years and it’s still going strong. I always crave the biriyani here. Keep up the good work.
R. N. H.
Last week on the 29th April around 7.50pm came to order food for iftar, we ran a pop up stall on the opposite at Mushkil Aasaan, so it got late for our iftar, so we came to your restaurant to order take away
And the service by your staffs named Arsalan was outstanding, he was fast efficient and so kind too, he got our 4 kebabs and 3 biryanj ready in 10 minutes , we asked for price of iftar bowl of dates and fruits and he said its for people in restaurant and then we requested if we can have some as we are out of time to break fast and he also packed us dates and fruits which was so kind and cute of him, moreover he was so responsible in treating his customer with care and accuracy
The food was nice and plenty was there too
Great service and great food
Thank you
Arsalaan should be an example for great customer service well done
A. W.
Food is nice a little bit e pensive very busy but worth every penny
A. T.
This is our go to place for lahori nashta. Great puri channa with halwa. Highly recommended!
C. D.
Best samosas, onion bhajis and definitely the best korma and madras in all of London. We don’t get our curry anywhere else because we just know we’ll be disappointed. Love love love Lahore Karahi
R. S.
Food was delicious and was excellent value for money
S. R.
Very famous restaurant in Tooting but if you are looking for a traditional Asian taste of food then Lahore Karahi is not the place you are looking for. This restaurant has changed their food theme as per their client's requirements as now more English people come here ether than Asian people. Now the food theme and taste of food are less spicy as compare to Asian people taste.
L. A.
Easily the best biryani I’ve had in a long time. The authenticity and the flavours and the quality of rice which was in the dish was just simply delectable. We’ve tried ordering several times since then and have tried a variety of vegetarian dishes which are equally good- but our favourite still remains the biryani which has left an indelible mark in our culinary senses ;)
S. S.
Great restaurant with guaranteed heads. Could not recommend higher.
F. W.
really nice how they have done it up and maintains the integrity of the old lahore everything was nice and hot staff were so friendly
M. A.
My favourite indian restaurant in Tooting. The food is consistently so good and since the refurbishment the place looks great. Nice ambience, great food, staff are very friendly. Couldn't ask for more.
v. C.
Good customer service, tasty food. Reasonable price
C. S.
Excellent as always, too bad they ran out of milk cake!
m. a.
Good location and food. Friendly staff and hygienic place to eat. Eat and take away loads of choice.
A. W.
Currently only able to collect or deliver but a very good Indian in a place crowded with them. You have to do well in Tooting. During lockdown they took the opportunity to do a complete refurb. Really enjoyed the food and the staff is incredibly friendly. Never eating in but heard good things from my friends
M. F.
The food tastes good but customer service is very bad. Hygiene is poor, they were cleaning tables with dirty pieces of cloth and without antibacterial spray.
A. B.
Solid Pakistani food. Amazing Karahi Lamb and decent Karahi chicken. Naans, roti and rice good. Got takeout and everything cooked quickly, polite staff and very tasty at a decent price. I've heard from friends that eating in and the BYOB is great. Will definitely return.
F. A.
Tried this for the first time today (usually go to Dawat and what used to be Spice Village and Mirch Masala).
Ordered a mixed Grill and a Tandoori naan with butter.
The kebab, tandoori wings were great along with the chilli sauce. The naan was lovely and the mutton tikka was tender.
The lamb chops tasted nice but were overdone and tough and the chicken tikka was a bit dry.
Will definitely come back, though feel the portions were slightly small considering the original price (1 kebab, 2 very small chops, 3 small wings, 2 chicken and 2 mutton tikka's (should have been an extra kebab and 2 more tikka's in my opinion).
B. B.
If you do not want HOT CHILLIES only burning in your mouth then THIS IS THE RESTAURANT that puts mild and medium chillies in their curries and kebabs and YOU can add your own chillies to your taste once you purchased your fav. dishes. Also their Halwa Puri breakfast is only second to none. Again Channa Aaloo is just the right mildly spiced for my elderly mother of 91 to manage without complaint and crying like a baby🤣 as her gums cannot take VERY HOT CHILLIES AT ALL. I have known the owner since 80's as my client and ALLAH(SWT) blessed him with this restaurant and much more.

We were lucky to find a seat on a busy Friday dinner. It's not a big restaurant. The food was nice. I ordered the medium spicy chicken but it was super super spicy! so be careful with your spiciness level :)
Service is very slow. You will need to wait to order, wait to ask for additional items and be prepared to wait to pay the bill.. Seems like only a few head waiters are serving to bunch of tables.
d. r.
Great food and kind people. What a gem of a place.!!!
W. S. H.
Price very reasonable. Service was welcoming. The number of staff is below pre- lockdown levels which reflexes the less amount of customers. On my visit a midday meal time only about 5 tables out of 20 or tables being used by customers. The seat back, I was on was mildly sticky, indicating that the cleaning did not wash off the cleaning product off adequately. It could do with a dam cloth to wipe it..
a. k.
the food was soooo yummy and nice, me and my wife got the chicken tikka masala, dhansak, chana masala, pakoras and a garlic nan. the food was lovely and the staff were very helpful. thank you !!! 10/10
G. R.
Probably the best curry in London. I can hardly fault the place. I always have one of the lamb dishes and it's always gorgeous. Once or twice the chairs have been a bit sticky 😬 but other than that it's without a doubt my favourite London curry house.
P. z. D.
Amazing food and reasonable prices, quite quick service
L. S.
Good food no doubt about that but would like to see some improvements on their management of restaurant. Always loud talks in their kitchen area is not pleasant, not to mention how they receive their clients at the door. Other than that, all good.
l.
This is the best curry house we have ever tasted!!! We live far from it but we always try to be there at least once a week! Everything is so fresh and the bread baked fresh too! Delicious beyond everything! We feel as a part of curry family there! Very kind people work there! Thank you guys!!! You are literally the best from all! Their creamy tikka masala karahi and vegetable creamy korma with hint of coconut flavour are everything 🤤 and we come from from totally different part of the world with a different cuisine!!!
Z. D.
This is one of the best and most authentic Pakistani Restaurants in London, it may not be refined or sophisticated, but the food is definitely tasty. the food is fresh and served piping hot. the mix grill is awesome, the curries are tasty, the breads are fantastic.
You will go there and there are ques for tables, but its worth the wait. it is crowded and the noise levels may be high, but you go there for the food.
I travel a long distance to eat here, and it is one of my choice of place for Pakistani food, it beats any Indian restaurant for taste in London.
A. M.
Amazing food. Fairly priced. Very accommodating.
I. L.
Lively place and delicious food.
F. L.
Visited recently on a busy eat out to help out evening following the recent refurbishment. It was my second visit following valentine's Day 2019. The refurbishment is very tasteful, keeping the ambiance of the previous restaurant but just more bold in design with lovely detailing. The staff are wonderful too and I felt at ease and relaxed all throughout my stay.
The food was stunning too. The korma had a beautiful buttery, nutty taste which was so well balanced with delicate breast. The vindaloo was very meaty but also so vibrant, littered with coriander seeds giving it a zesty feel. A great detail, was the subtle multicoloured pilau rice, with about 5% green, pink, blue and yellow grains.
Plenty of dishes I'd like to come back to try such as the keemas and the chaapli kebab which they were out of. I look forward to a long relationship with this restaurant.
M. S.
I loved the food. The Mughai biriyani and the lamb Karahi were particularly good. (I’m a fan of spice and I thought both of them had a good kick and we’re very well flavoured otherwise too). It was a little expensive on Just Eat, but given the Covid Lockdown I was ok with it.
However ALL the dishes we ordered were quite spicy, including the korma my spice-intolerant wife ordered! This might be a problem for a lot of people (especially those expecting a mild korma). So I’d recommend updating the menu on just eat to say “spicy” on more dishes, and maybe use no chilli in the korma? Just a suggestion if you want to keep good reviews On delivery services :-)
Keep up the good work
M. B.
Space was a premium, we were a large group and was sat up against the window, probably to give the impression of a busy restaurant. It was the only table left down stairs but there were plenty upstairs. Maybe that is reserved for private booking maybe. Being sat that close to the window meant if someone against the window needed to get up you all had to get up. As for the food very much middle of the road, with lots of spices. Normally if someone over spices the food they are trying to cover something up. Maybe the quality of the meat, or just lack of understanding how spices go together. Either way for the price we paid I would have expected better. To be honest I think I would have save the money and bought a premium curry from the supermarket. The only good thing was the speed of which the food came out. I like going out for a curry but dont feel I would return here in a hurry.
H. J.
Great quality, reasonable prices and great service. Will be back!
A. D.
The best curry in town, have been going for the last 17 years and has always retained the same authentic and unique recipe. Well done guys
U. K.
Excellent food and excellent service. I went during the last day of the eat out to help our scheme and there was a huge rush yet the staff were still so polite and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend
A. S.
Wonderful staff, excellent food. Offers plenty of options.
Better seating now
L. J.
Was nice
S. A.
Saw the ad on instagram. Went there today with family. Has to be the BEST FOOD. Mughlai biryani, king prawn tikka masala, kebabs and meat biryani were spot on. Definitely coming again. My husband who is from here said this is the best restaurant i have been to ( food wise). Thankyou for existing.
M. B.
I have had so many happy visits here. Don't expect silver service and bring your own beer. Do expect prompt service and great food plus a fun time. It is always busy so you may have to queue but it will be worth it. I am always pleasantly surprised by the bill as it is great value. Look on it as an experience and you won't be disappointed.
a. s.
Very nice and amazing Breakfast .. the chana with halwa puri was amazing today so delicious. Keep it Lahore Karahi team.
Malik
S. K.
Food okay but not enough flavours were very mild in comparison to other places i have been too. Seating was also very close together, and the upstairs restaurant was empty
T. S.
Really good food with great, friendly service. We ordered for too much as there was so much choice but they provided us with tubs to take the leftovers home. We will be back again 😁
J. P. P. o. R.
The food here is consistently outstanding. Vibrantly colourful, spicy with various textures. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful when placing my order. I’m really very grateful... truly the most wonderful vegetarian curries I’ve ever enjoyed. Thank you.
A. G.
Had a wonderful meal this evening, great Dal, Chicken Madras and Karahi and tasty paratha! Support local, super delivery time and food was piping hot when it arrived! Thank you!
N. B.
We had such a good meal here, the food was fab and a real difference in the level of quality since their new referb 😊 the veg options were super yummy and fresh and the service was really quick, a massive improvement on our previous visits! Will definitely be returning😊
M. M.
Went in because it's always so crowded. Karahi was ok. Really enjoyed the hot naans :)
j. p.
Its good to having a taste like india in lahore karahi...i love to eat different kind of food and once i gone to the lahore karahi and it was amazing taste compare to other restaurent and one more thing is making me happy that is staff service
Woowwww what a staff service they giving...no rush no arguments no rudely behaviour nothing at all...all the staff members are good vise bhaviour...so from me to this restaurent 10/10😘😘thank you once again to giving a nice and fresh food...
D. B.
Really amazing food but we weren't allowed to leave a tip for the staff on card who all said the boss keeps the tips paid on card. That's not on and the rules should be changed so staff benefit from tips from customers rather than having to pay cash. Hope the boss reads this and takes heed.
G. T.
Excellent food and service as always! highly recommended. I have been a customer since they opened, which must be over 20 years now. Surely that speaks for itself
K. K.
I tried this place after reading a lot of good reviews and unfortunately found the food underwhelming - far too oily and did not feel fresh. The seekh kabab is very good though and hence the 3 stars.
T. S.
I have to say that this is one of the best Indian/Pakistani restaurants in London. Also, it's BYOB so great to eat out there if you wanna drink.
Just the service could be a bit better as it happened to me a number of times that they forgot my order.
Z. K.
GOOD FOOD, REASONABLY PRICED AND GOOD SERVICE
Recently opened in Tooting. I visited there with the family twice..on Sunday, the 7th and Thursday the 11th April. Sunday was very busy and the management were not well prepared for the kick-off.. Later in that week, they appeared very organised. The service was efficient, staff were friendly. The food was reasonably good, nothing to complain about and is reasonably priced compared to the other Indian eateries in Tooting. The opening offer of 50% off was tremendous. The hotel fittings and furnishings are welcoming and tastefully arranged. Reasonably large place and a good one for an evening meal. Overall we found it to be a breath of fresh air in Tooting to eat out, otherwise the established Indian restaurants up there have hiked up the prices while the quality and quantity of food keeps on shrinking. Well done Lahore Spices, keep it up.
J. C.
This is the best restaurant in Tooting. Incredible food, budget-friendly, great atmosphere, welcoming staff. GO.
N. K.
I took out one star because this guy just pissed me off by telling me he’d make me wait for 30-45 minutes for my take away order if I asked him how much time it’d take, again. It was the first time I’d asked. But the food is top notch, true taste of Lahore. And the guy taking orders at the tables was super nice too. Maybe next time I’ll order takeaway online.
H. M.
Lovely food, however a really slow service that ruined what would of been a great meal.
J. B.
The food was pleasant and the staff helpful and positive but service was slow probably a bit too busy.
L. K.
Service was fast and waiter's where nice .
We ate curry and its taste was really good meet was soft and juicy .
Jest one thing I didn't like that plain rice was to sweet.
Other wise all good.
N. F.
Saw a few bad reviews recently saying this restaurant has changed and the quality of the food has dropped. Some people even said it was bland and there’s better options in Iceland. I went on Saturday afternoon with a group of friends for the first time in over a year. We ordered, amongst other things, the mutton karahi, chicken karahi and prawn karahi. The restaurant was busy, service was good and the food was unbelievably good even better than I can remember. The popadoms and naan were also great. Glad to see one of the favourites curry restaurants still doing so well
S. G.
I hadn't been here for several years. The layout has changed with many more tables and a repositioned open kitchen. The food though is still very good. Authentic and freshly cooked. The tikkas were always a speciality and I was impressed with the meat biryani. Don't expect slick service or starched table linen, but you will get authentic cuisine at a very good price.
C. H.
Really good local curry house in Tooting. Usually gets very busy but serves authentic food at a bargain price. Expect big portions. The mango lassi's are also excellent. It's not licensed but corkage is charged.
S. P.
I love this restaurant, lovely food, the theme is nice and refreshing!
M. H.
Food here is v tasty and cheap, generally quite fresh also if you are ordering curry’s / karahi’s or grilled food. Chips portion is small and they are quite tasteless, but people don’t generally come here for chips! Service can be a bit slow as waiters aren’t very eager to come and take your order.
S. A.
For a nice night out in family. Curry lovers will adore. A bit noisy but nice.

Authentic Pakistani food and very good service. You can’t go wrong with their haleem and roghni naan. Also, very decent place to sit and impeccable toilets. It all adds up to the overall experience.

Sabardast! Very good! Brilliant service! And most of all very behavior!!!

Our all time most favourite curry eat in and takeaway place. We are probably the highest visiting customers of all time here. The place is 95% of time top notch in quality and we love everything they serve here. From mango lassi down to Chicken Tikka Masala Karahi, which is a kind of a signature dish here.

This place gets very busy so book in advance or come early!
The food is very hot and I'm a person who loves hot food! And I mean really hot. Like the hottest Level at nandos kind of hot. But this was definitely hard to enjoy.
I have ordered chicken biryani and saag aloo for myself, but as you'll see from the photos- my companions ordered chicken Tikka curry, chicken bhuna, chicken korma, rice and Peshawari naan.
I haven't tried their food, but I didn't enjoy mine. The rice and the chicken had no flavour. Plain rice and chicken tasted mostly like these tiny green chillies- which are mostly bitter and hot. And i still don't know if that saag aloo was good. I couldn't taste it at all after my tongue was scorched.
The waiters were serving every single table apart from ours. We were one of the first people to arrive, and very last to leave. Honestly, we sat there for something like 6 hours...
The upside is that you can bring your own alcohol. And I'm glad we did. The food is very very affordable, but the service was appalling.

Beautiful food, especially like the mutton curry, lamb samosas and chicken biryani. Best curry place in Tooting by far!

Very nice curry house, but as a group you get put up stairs and there's usually another bigger group that's super loud. Also has to wait a long time for the food, but again was in a big group. I'd recommend going as a pair.

Their Bhuna Ghost and naans are to die fir. Recommend unreservedly

This is by far the best curry house at an affordable price in South London. It serves all halal food. I ordered a tikka masala curry creamy with starter and okra curry and a jug of mango smoothie for £27.10. Clean and great atmosphere with friendly staff that let us sit anywhere. Can get super packed and busy towards the evening time. Great curry house, does take about 20 minutes to get food, but well worth it as it is cooked fresh and tasty. Great service.

I pre ordered thankfully...
This restaurant gets very busy good food qt good prices
J. M.
The food in here is absolutely top drawer, and the price is very good too. A great vegetarian selection also. If you want to drink alcohol you must byo. I can't fault it.

Best Pakistani food in London, if not all of the United Kingdom

Great tasty food with a lively atmosphere. Good value for food lovers.

Significantly hotter than other Curry houses. It is BYOB but the only glasses provided are tumblers, which isn't great for wine. You are expected to keep the same plate from your starter for your main, which isn't great if you have very different dishes. The fishes were oiler than expected, especially the Sagg Paneer, there wasn't really much cheese at all just a few larger chunks, none melted through like usual. The Chicken tikka masala was hotter than usual, very thin sauce. The waiter who takes your order is lovely. Quite a big que to get a table.

What a lovely little place. Food is always excellent and service is good. Cant fault anything really. Well recommended. Authentic curries. Yum yum yum!
J. T.
Such a great curry house. Probably the best in Tooting, with some big rivals. None of the dishes disappoint

Lahore karahi was really good place to eat. I like their place and taste.
S. j.
Lahore Karahi is on the main road, hence easy to find. Some parking is available around the restaurant. The variety of the food and taste is average. Bathrooms are reasonably clean. The main walking area on ground floor get oily and slippery. The crockery, cutlery the tables and chairs were also clean.
B. G.
We had the best spread of foods from Lahore Karahi, from curries to naan breads to mixed grills, all at an affordable price too.
The mango lassi was out of this world!
A. B. C.
The food was delicious as always. The people who work there are always polite and smile to you. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place is an absolute banger. Totally unpretentious, good honest Pakistani Cusine. Very reasonably priced. Always a solid choice when rolling through Tooting.
Bless up and compliments to the chef as always.

Went to a wedding reception on the top floor, foid was really nice, but maybe a little to hot for some...
Overall good service, staff were helpful and polite 👍

Delicious food

Eaten here for years. One thing. The food is very hot! Unless you state mild be prepared!!! I forgot to mention mild on my order and have all this food I cant eat because it is so spicy. Who puts chilli in dahl

This place used to be a real favourite of mine, and I would still recommend it. The food is really good and dead cheap. You can bring your own booze which makes it even cheaper. However the service can be incredibly slow and sometimes staff can be a touch rude. Worth trying out, but expect long waits if it's busy.

Have to get the masala lamb chops 👌🏼
M. B.
Have had great food here before, but between me and my better half, we had watery masala, dry lamb and my partner's malai murgh had pineapple chunks in it which was bizarre. The lamb chops were gold medal though. Hopefully it's better the next time we go, as they're normally top tier

For a taste of the Subcontinent Tooting is the only place in South London that can deliver. Lahore promotes itself as a Pakistani cafe and that is a fairly accurate way to describe it. Food prepared in front of you, there's a TV in the corner, it's BYO and the ambience is casual and relaxed. The food is good but not as exceptional as others in Tooting. Ensure you get booze before arriving as there isn't a shop in the immediate vicinity - I made this mistake once and had to endure a meal with a friend without a singular drop of the crazy juice.

Banging food, been coming here for over 10 years and it has never disappointed. The kebab wraps are to die for!

Really yummy food (especially the mixed grill!!). Great prices. One of my favourite curry houses in London. BYOB. Great area upstairs for big parties.
S. A. B.
One of the best if not the best Pakistani restaurants in London. Have been going here since I was a child.
Reminds me of my grandmothers cooking, the Kulfi is gorgeous, and the dishea incredibly authentic. The BYOB policy is great in comparison to some of the other restaurants in the area.
The best karahi chicken in london. Go eat there now!
D. G.
Great food very delicious let down by terrible table service several times having to keep asking for things and took long time between starters and mains
D. K.
Want a curry on a budget? This is the place! Bring your own drinks and order your food, lots of choice from mixed grills to Currys, including vegetarian. No specific dress code, where what you want, however on leaving you will smell like a curry house 😁
M. A.
Very yummy food at great price!! The refurb makes the place extra nice to dine in!

Best restaurant in tooting bec and tooting Broadway
S. A.
Food was exceptional and authentic as previous reviews have said but services was rather slow. Waited about 20mins just for starters, drinks weren’t brought until the end of the meal and restaurant wasn’t even extremely busy. Not saying it will be like this all the time but don’t go there with a hangry stomach like me!
G. F.
One of the best curries that I've ever had! But is a little bit expensive. Curry dish + rice + drink you will spend around 14,15 pounds.
U. Y.
Overall not very nice experience. Biryani was so like boiled rice , no spice or masala. Karahi was just fine. I wont recommend their bar bq. Though rasmalai was great but it can be presented in a better way.
C. U.
Probably my favourite curry restaurant in Tooting, and that's high praise. Bitter melon karela gosht is, I think, the best dish in the house. Unlicensed, so go to the nice craft beer shop in Tooting Market just round the corner for your beer.
L. N.
Authentic dishes really well presented. Good portions and excellent prices. Staff are attentive and helpful.
We chose biryani and lamb rogan josh delicious.
A. N.
Amazing food. This was my first time at Lahore Karahi it was highly recommended by a Pakistani friend. We didnt know what anthing was or tasted like, so we randomly picked a few dishes. Everything was delicious. This place is busy all the time but well worth a visit.
A. C.
Just an ok restaurant. Everything was dripping with oil but the flavours were there. Guys please use less grease and you will attract more young people who don’t want to eat that heavy.
w.
This restaurant has been refurbished since my last visit. .The food is good, i had a veggie byriani, the portion was small. Yes the service could be better, the staff are helpful, restaurant is always busy, well priced......
E. Y.
Great food but staff could be a tad more welcoming.
J. F.
Great piping hot vindaloo, crispy pakira, fresh baked naan, byo beer ,.I mean what more could you ask for.
J. C.
Excellent quality food , quick service. Love the cafe style atmosphere. Keema naan was cooked fresh... Super tasty, best we have had in ages.
L. H.
Always great curry, prices have gone up but as its byo it is still good value.
Waiters are not that attentive but food is great and you don't feel rushed out.
