After an amazing stay at the London Marriott Park Lane, we ended our weekend with afternoon tea at Lanes of London. Highly recommend! It was very tasty, creative, and was complimented with 3 different tea selections!

After a lovely stay at Marriott Park Lane, my husband and I were treated to a delicious breakfast at Lanes of London. The food, setting and ambience were all amazing but the best part was the service from our incredible waiter Vivien! An incredibly polite man with lovely conversation, and you could tell he had a very warm smile behind his mask. Will definitely love to visit again

Vivian Rato is the best waiter ever ! We will be back just to be served by him again !

We thoroughly enjoyed our Botanical Afternoon Tea with bottomless bubbles here last week. Lanes has a perfect location being just a couple of minutes walk from Marble Arch tube station and across the road from Hyde Park (lovely for walking off their generous afternoon tea!) Service from all of the staff was exceptional. Tea menu is extensive, even for the pickiest of tea connoisseurs. Sandwiches were fresh and inventive, we especially loved the use of the specialty breads which made them a little more special than your average afternoon tea offering. Scones were some of the best we’ve ever tasted and the cakes were delicate morsels from heaven. All in all, a wonderful experience where you’re made to feel very special by the fantastic staff. Thank you to all of the team- we will definitely be back xxx

We visited for the free flowing afternoon tea, and while the tea itself was very picturesque and tasty enough, the service was pretty awful. The venue was almost entirely empty (this was on a Saturday afternoon) and there were so many staff members milling around, and yet the "free flowing bubbles" we paid for were...well, not "free flowing". Our glasses would sit empty for up to 10 minutes before we'd have to specifically ask for a top up, and even then each top up was very small and our glasses would then sit empty again until we again asked for a further top up. Tap water and tea went equally ignored, and I daren't even wonder how any requests for additional sandwiches and scones/cakes (as most other venues provide) would have gone down. Very disappointing all round, and although it's not free flowing I would advise anyone looking for a good afternoon tea to visit the Park Room at Grosvenor House down the road instead.

Dropped by for a coffee. A very fantastic ambience and service. Loved it and will be back shortly.

We had a lovely afternoon tea a few days ago. Our waiter was called Vivian and he’s absolutely brilliant! Honestly the best service I’ve had in years. Very impressed with his gentle manner and how polite he was.

Delicious food, friendly staff, lovely place

Definitely reccomend!

Absolutely fantastic experience of a traditional quaint, but modern British afternoon tea.
A plethora of teas, beautiful decor, and stunning food. Some of the flavours and creative foods from edible flower pots to twisted cucumber sandwiches only added to the affair. The tableware was amazing and to top it all off we were treated to alluring love harp music.
5 out of 5.

Came here for afternoon tea. Being a chain brand my expectations weren't the highest. I was wrong selection of teas and coffee were fantastic. The afternoon tea had plenty of small desserts, they were all splendid, although definitely cater to the sweeter tooth. Overall great service and lovely afternoon tea.

Afternoon is the best I've had so far. Unlimited tea. You can literally try every single tea, if you wanted.
The food and pastries all tasty and fresh. Nicely balanced flavours. The only thing is I wish the scones came out warm. Cold scones aren't the best. Well present too.
Staff are very good. Attentive and friendly. There was live music when we went, which is lovely.
All this for an amazing price!

While the service was really good and the ambiance was very nice, I was a bit disappointed with my meal (gnocchi). The price compared to the quality left a bit to be desired. The others in my group enjoyed their meals and the desserts were very nice.

I received a generous portion of avocado toast. The pancakes were like no other I've tried before. There not like traditional American pancakes, yet they were dense, rich, and satisfying. The pancakes had a hint of liqueur that I could not discern. Very enjoyable. The waiter was very attentive.

Really tasty food in an upmarket Mayfair restaurant! Great location (right next to Marble Arch), nice atmosphere and reasonably priced for the area too. The portion sizes don't look huge but they are just right as they are packed full with flavour. The menu has a good variety of dishes so there's something for everyone, even the fussy eaters! We all enjoyed our meals and it's somewhere I would definitely return to. Staff were very accommodating, polite and professional. Had a fantastic evening with friends, but would be perfect for a special occasion too.

Amazing afternoon tea! We asked for vegetarian (had to specify no egg, no fish). They gave sandwiches with parmesan but as we knew they weren't veg, we weren't too bothered. Service was great and a wide range of teas were offered. Decor is beautiful
J. L.
Pulled beef sandwich was good, glass of dessert wine was good. Place was clean, almost empty, servers were polite and friendly without being obtrusive. Excellent chill vibe to wind down with quiet conversation after a hard day's work. A little pricey but for the service and ambience I wouldn't mind.

We have amazing afternoon tea served by Vivian. He is amazing waitress. He served us like a queen and very polite. Definitely recommended

Nice restaurant and bar at the corner of park Lane and Oxford street with British menu, great service and friendly staff. Love the modern interior!

Great place for dinner if you are staying at the Marriott park Lane. Ask nicely and they will even prep food from outside for you, but shhhh I didn't tell you that.
J. L.
Great meal and atmosphere. Officially the Marriott hotel restaurant but I didn't even realise until the end. Great food and service. Servers were very friendly and helpful.

This is my most favourite restaurant/place in London. They really do a great job in food variety from fish and chips burgers and other dishes also the staff is extremely helpful and they support you in selecting your choice. I truly feel home when I go to this place

An amazing Wimbledon themed afternoon tea, was stuffed full and it is very reasonably priced. Had a wonderful window view of London while sampling such a wild array of flavours.

Nice atmosphere, variety of teas and cocktails, lovely staff and very beautiful views from Hyde Park.
I highly recommend afternoon teas and dinners.

We were very looked after when we went for afternoon tea. Great service

Nice interiors and good service but would come back for the aged parmesan risotto alone!

Holy ****. It is amazing cheap for what you get. Great flavors, lovely staff and most of all not expensive.

Afternoon Tea was not as great as I would have expected. The scones didn't come out warm, the bread for the sandwiches seemed stale, the filling inside them wasn't wow.
We had emailed when we booked to inform them we were both vegetarians, and to double confirm we also called up a few days before, but they still bought out non veg sandwiches which is slightly annoying.
The waiter however was very a friendly, helpful, bubbly guy who was passionate about tea!

Very nice evening, good food and service

Here for mothers day. Service is average, quite slow even though not that busy. Sandwiches lovely, variety of deserts are not bad. Good variety of teas. Would have been good to have a change of crockery when courses change without asking. Nice atmosphere
R. M.
Had the most wonderful free flowing bubbly festive afternoon tea yesterday at the Lanes of London hotel. The service was incredible as was the food!! Also, so reasonably priced. Definitely one to go back too. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
T. M.
Amazing food..the best seabass I have ever eaten. Really good quality food and drinks. And the staff are really friendly and approachable. Highly recommended. I didn't even feel like in was on one of the busiest roads in London. Brilliant place.
K. M.
Easily the best afternoon tea we've had. Very attentive and extremely knowledgeable waiters. They certainly know their tea - and very generous with the free flowing prosecco!

When in for afternoon tea on 3rd march 2018 for a friends birthday. Had a wonderful time customer service was great. We we're served by Dennis who was lovely and had a great sense of humour and great attention to detail. We will be back and can definitely recommend.

Went for afternoon tea, with bottomless champagne. Food was nice but service was slow and rather inattentive, so the drinks were not 'free flowing' as advertised. Nice setting and good location. Large selection of teas to choose from.
J. P.
Great afternoon tea experience, lovely ambience, might have to do it again
C. S.
Had a wonderful afternoon tea with the fantastic Alva as our waitress. The food was wonderful and we were encouraged to try different teas to match the food. Can’t wait to go back again.

We had afternoon tea here, and it was really excellent. Their selection was lovely, and the staff were really very nice and attentive. Definitely will return.

We celebrated a friends 30th here and couldn’t have received better service from Claudiu. He catered to our last minute dietary needs - vegetarian, pescatarian and gluten free and our glasses were constantly topped up. Will definitely return.

Ok...this is a five star restaurant in the Marriott Park Lane- depending what you are looking for- we were seated in good comfort if not what I would describe as 5* luxury- and the waiter was professional and friendly and the food was surprisingly fast- not that I can quite believe this but yes surprisingly fast-this was a four course meal for new year for £95- I have been at other hotel restaurants before and they seem to like a very minimalist plate - if you want style it's good but not spectacular - if you want to eat the presentation is all important rather than the quantity - I also have my suspicions about some of the ladies with extremely short skirts - we went there to celebrate and we celebrated but I doubt we will be going back there- the 5* are just not what you would expect 5* to be!!! the atmosphere - corporate, very bar-esque, I was apprehensive about black tie but there were jeans-a lot- more a directorial astrosphere rather than family even if there were families there!!!

The concept behind Lanes is to bring together the flavours of the four most well-known streets in London under one roof; Brick Lane for a curry, Edgware Road for food from the Middle East, Kingsland Road for Vietnamese and Portobello Road for good old British pub grub. They also offer several additional meat, fish and vegetarian options out with these themes. Each of the dishes we tried were good in their own right but we were particularly blown away by the duck confit.
I could have happily eaten almost all of the desserts (including some of the most random ice cream flavours I’ve ever seen) that were on the menu but we decided to split the Valrhona chocolate torte and the Jammy Dodgers washed down with a nice cuppa. The fact that the menu also doubled as a postcard which the restaurant would post on your behalf was a great added touch too.
Lanes of London isn’t cheap but our deal made it excellent value for money and it’s really a great place if you want to make a good impression. It would be a great first date for foodies or perhaps for visitors to the UK who may not have time to sample many of the delights that London has to offer. The staff were knowledgable and attentive without being overbearing and the food was all excellent. I’m still dreaming about those damn jammy dodgers weeks later!

Beautiful festive afternoon tea in the nicely furnished dining room at Lanes of London. Reasonably priced due to a living social deal, we very much enjoyed our snowman macarons and praline christmas trees! A few things were a bit melted for to the fierce lighting, but at least it was nice and bright on a winters day!

A great meal and service.lovely interior. Will certainly go again and we highly recommend this restaurant.
