Reviews of Le Comptoir Robuchon

I recently enjoyed a truly magnificent lunch with friends at Le Comptoir Robuchon and cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Great location in vibrant Mayfair, all the staff were knowledge, friendly and attentive. Fantastic a la carte and special's menu supported by an extensive champagne and wine list. I would recommend the Seabream carpaccio, Duck breast and all the desserts! Relaxed atmosphere for a French restaurant. Excellent.

Well fine dining at it’s best. Great service lovely food and the price to match. The red wine list is to die for and the foie gras was amazing

Everything amazing. My boyfriend and I had a very warm welcome. Live romantic music for our valentines date. People were working in armony and being very nice to us. Food was amazing. Only down side was we had to chase up our drinks order. Highly recommend

Our experience at Le Comptoir Robuchon was good. We enjoyed the tasting menu which was wonderfully curated and prepared. The service, however, has some opportunity for improvement. There were times where the server did not explain what dish he had just placed on our table. Also, the whipped cream they used on the beetroot salad was running out and on the last serving it just deposited a complete liquid, spoiling the beauty and textures of the plate, but the server did not even notice or offer to replace it.

Artistry of fine dining is continuously being more difficult to find in the streets of London. As you approach the restaurant the doors are being opened for you and a kind gentleman greets you. He was quick to assist me where to sit whilst I was waiting for my party to arrive. The dim lights and jazzy music instantly draws you into the atmosphere of relaxation. The service was accordingly attentive, very polite, professional and adaptive to our needs. That also counts for chefs and I highly admire that in a place with Michelin star as my party was strictly vegan and that is not quite as easy to follow and maintain the quality and taste of the food.
My favourite part of every fine dinner is bread basket with selection of butters and olive oils. In this particular restaurant we only got one olive oil and one type of butter but needless to say it was even more so delicious. Fresh fish then followed with a member of staff cutting it in front of us, making it a good show! The consistency of the fish meat was nicely dissolving on one’s tongue. Followed by refreshing panna cotta. We have received a large chocolate bread as a gift when leaving which was a nice touch. From the start of the dinner towards the end I was fully satisfied with the service and would like to return.

This review is long overdue but not forgotten. I went to Le Comptoir Robuchon on 30th June; my first real venture to a restaurant when lockdown lifted. It was an excellent choice: the food, service and ambiance made for a most memorable lunch with a dear friend. The restaurant's attention to detail is impressive: from something as simple as the butter shape and temperature to our waiter taking his time to understand what flavours we enjoy so that the bartender can personalise our cocktail selections to the manager checking on our dining experience...I could carry on with more examples. I cannot find fault with any of the food we ordered. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented, although I am partial to and would highly recommend Le Pâté en Croûte as a starter. It wasn't just a great meal, it was a lovely afternoon with my friend; and so much of this had to do with their impeccable customer care and service. Merci beaucoup!

I don't know where to even begin - I can't compliment this experience enough.
The service was second to none, everyone was genuine, friendly, polite and so welcoming. The decor and general ambiance felt so relaxed and warming. The general pace of the evening, the waiting staff, the management, the chefs and everyone involved were just lovely.
I would most definitely recommend this restaurant and am certain I'll be back. The food deserves a mention of its own as every dish was meticulously prepared and presented beautifully. The reputation of the dishes is well deserved as every mouthful was delicious!
I have never been so keen to share my photos and experiences about a restaurant as I am about Le Comptoir Robuchon - my new favourite that I will be banging on about to everyone I meet!

We celebrated v day in advance and sadly they didn’t have the vday menu yet but the lovely manager gave us a customised card and presented a plate with happy Valentine’s at dessert. Food was top notch , surprised they don’t have a Michelin star yet at this restaurant! Service was warm, genuine and impeccable , can’t wait to go back again

The food at this restaurant is without doubt of a very high quality. We enjoyed the food. I felt that I wanted to give constructive feedback to the restaurant itself. The staff are too attentive and this did slightly spoil our enjoyment. With no dedicated waiter a number of people will ask you the same question in the space of 5 minutes. The additional affect is to feel rushed and there is a loss of privacy. Please leave your guests alone a bit more.

Fantastic French food served by equally brilliant staff in a great atmosphere, and dog friendly (welcome!) so I could join my well behaved humans too which is a bonus! Brilliant for a celebration or if you are missing or love French cuisine. We will be back!

Exceptional food and service. Highly recommend the lobster salad, salmon teriyaki and mini foie gras burgers

We enjoy the dinner at Le comptoir Robuchon. For those who have been to l’Atelier Robuchon, the food is at the same standard. The ambiance is great. Really good and friendly service, at fair prices for Mayfair.

I’ve been here four times in their first week. Being in Mayfair, Le Comptoir Robuchon is rather a step up from the old Atelier in West St. in a brand new building, Le Comptoir offers a much more spacious atmosphere with twelve counter seats, in addition to around thirty or so table covers.
After covering about half of the extensive menu now, my personal favourites are Le Mackerel, La Saint Jacques and L’Encournet from the starters. For the mains, Le Wagyu is the star for me although Le Tounedos and Le Turbot are also good. Le Tatin is my favourite dessert, as suggested it’s a tarte tatin without pastry. They have eight cheeses on a well afineured board, both British and French, and I have to say I particularly enjoy the Lancashire, usually a weak supermarket offering but this is properly matured and tangy.
I prefer sitting at the counter myself: indeed you are even closer to the kitchen action than at the Atelier, as the service channel’s no longer there. At the far end you can watch the infamous pomme puree taking shape.

Excellent Experience ! We tasted the lunch menu (seabream carpaccio as starter and duck breast as main) and some dishes from the A la Carte menu (foie gras and veal) which were all delicious. Staff service was very friendly and with great care, especially for my wife gluten free options. The sommelier gave us very original wine pairing recommendations from Catalonia and Germany to go with our meal. We highly recommend Le Comptoir for any occasion and aim for the comptoir rather than table so that you can the chefs in action.

Poor seating management. Un-flattering lighting. Good food.
Went there during Tier 2 restriction on a Friday night. Restaurant has good Covid safe procedure. Tables were all socially-distanced, when we arrived, restaurant was 1/3 full, all diners were seated at the back half of the restaurant and some along the bar. We were lead to the front half which was completely empty and felt very isolated from the 'atmosphere'. They should either scatter diners all around the restaurants or put them all together. They just seem to put you randomly with no logical thinking.
The decor is glitzy, lots of gold. It reminds me of some shopping malls in the Middle East.
Service was good.
Lighting not flattering to the ladies especially those who might wear a bit more make-up!
Spent around £270 for a dinner for 2.

Nice interior. Food is well made and beautifully presented but portions are mostly tiny and inconsistent in size. We were insistently told a number of times that food is designed to share here despite us telling we prefer to order individual dishes to each on our own. When those arrived, for most dishes we could not even imagine how those could be share between two or even more people due to their format and size - try sharing a tiny fillet of turbot in a butter sauce in a large deep plate or beetroot salad presented as a one compacted 5cm round serving. Also the food arrived very very slow despite the restaurant not being even half full. I doubt I will be returning there very soon.

Amazing staff, absolutely beautiful presentation and mouth watering, gorgeous food.

Exceptional dishes, very friendly atmosphere and staff

We've been to Le Comptoir Robuchon on its first week of opening, this French restaurant keeps its promises and we find Robuchon's talent in every plate. The general atmosphere is sophisticated and cosy. The marble counter (echoing to L'Atelier in Covent Garden) is perfect for business lunches and gives a view on the open kitchen. We can only recommend this new venue to our members.

I enjoyed every minute I spent at the restaurant. The food totally exceeded my expectations. I can’t stop eating the bread clearly knowing that I have 7 courses to finish. It is that fabulous.

(Translated) Atelier Rebuchon is a restaurant on the level. From service to serving food, everything is perfect. A bread basket with butter is the same as they bring in France, and there is the most delicious bread. Next, we ordered an assortment of paté-bring snacks and cut them off right in front of you. This is delicious. Then there was a tartar with beets and whipped cheese - delicious, but not remembered. Sea bass carpaccio was one of the tastiest we've ever tasted. Delicate Fresh Fish with Lemon Dressing and Secret Ingredient is amazing. For hot, they took ravioli with a crab, a pigeon and a quail, beyond praise. They give home a cupcake as a compliment. Excellent selection of wines. The staff works great. I definitely recommend visiting for those who love French sophistication and taste.

(Translated) Simply perfect, a refined cuisine and a chef of poignant quality.
A beef rib presented again in its cooking box, which once on your plates literally melts in your mouth.
Quality at the height of the coat of arms.
An ultra qualitative service with a smiling team.
Has experience to do!
But above all to redo.

A expérience à faire !
Mais surtout à refaire.

(Translated) Very good generous and attentive impeccable service all the plates pass into the hands of the Chef
The only downside was a Christmas present and we had to add a price supplement that was totally unexpected and yet confirmed ...... by phone
Pity.....

Très bon généreux et attentionné service impeccable toutes les assiettes passent dans les mains du Chef
Seul inconvénient c'était un cadeau de Noël et il a fallu ajouter un supplément de prix totalement pas prévu et pourtant confirmé ......par téléphone
Dommage.....
