Wow, what a surprise! In all honesty, we have walked past this place many times and have never been tempted to visit - just looks like a touristy central London bar. We were walking around last night and searched online for Mexican food and this place came up with good reviews, so we booked it. Turns out, some of the best Mexican we have had is served here! It can be a bit spicy, but some of the dishes can be served with the hot sauce on the side, which means you can choose your own level. Special mention must go to the lamb cutlets - one of the tastiest things we have eaten in a while - delicious. Oh, and great cocktails too! Really friendly staff with great suggestions for cocktail choices and it’s obvious they are proud of the place they work for. Definitely will be a returning customer!

Really enjoyed my meal and drinks here. Everything we tried on the menu was delicious. We ordered four small plates and two mains for three of us, and it turned out to be plenty of food. Cocktails were delicious too. Staff were great at clearing away plates, and the food came very quickly! Overall really enjoyed the experience here- food was really interesting and tasted great!!! Also, great outdoor seating that is undercover and with heaters.

This is a beautiful bar and restaurant in Leicester Square. The Mexican and Peruvian small plates are outstanding. You must try the wagyu and chorizo sliders and the avocado salad. Service was impeccable. We went on a Tuesday so they only have the bar menu available. The full menu is available later in the week and at weekends.

Really great thali served on metal trays. I always get three curries with bhaji, I'd recommend you do the same. Great for a quick but varied lunch in town. Seating is quite limited but there always seems to be just about enough, I've never had to wait for a seat.

This is one of my favourite places to dine in London. Every plate is delicious, the cocktails always impeccable and the staff friendly. Love the small plates concept, means you get to have a little of everything. There’s also an offering on the terrace at the moment too, which was informal, colourful and tasty!

Superb service and absolutely delicious food. Ask for Kitti or Marco and you'll have unobtrusive and impeccable service throughout your meal. Food was incredible with a legitimate spicy kick that provided heat but didn't mask the delectable taste. Ribs, wings and burritos were insanely good; the chili Martini was dangerously good too. Couldn't recommend this place more.

This was a lovely restaurant which was easy to find in Leicester square less than a minute away from TGI Fridays. The staff here were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The ambient conditions made it relaxing and calming and the atmosphere was vibrant with the surrounding guests. I loved the food and found the portion sizes generous. I give a particular recommendation to their ribs. It was very tasty, succulent and flavoursome and was very soft and came off the bone effortlessly. I found the pricing to be very affordable. Delicious food, very nice and attentive staff. I had read some reviews saying that the doses are really small, but at the beginning of the meal they do suggest that each person chooses 3-4 doses. If you follow their advice, it's enough food, and you get to taste different things. It's not cheap, but it's excellent.

A bold new restaurant at the corner of Leicester Sq serving dishes with Peruvian and Mexican influences. On paper, the combination of flavours seemed interesting; but the off the charts level of sour / tangy taste overwhelmed everything. Also not particularly accommodating with amendments to the menu. Expensive looking, if not a bit too on-trend, interior design.

This is one of my #1 spots to feast in London. Each plate is tasty, the mixed drinks consistently immaculate and the staff well disposed. Love the little plates idea, implies you will have a tad bit of everything. There's likewise a contribution on the porch right now as well, which was casual, vivid and delicious!

Really enjoyable fusion food experience! Dined here recently with friends and was pleased with the overall experience. Restaurant and bar area very minimal and modernised, and staff all very attentive and happy to explain how the menu worked and how spicy certain dishes were. The mini chicken tacos and short rib tacos were both delicious (chicken in particular) although very tiny morsels. The duck and pomegranate salad also very fresh and tasty. The beef and jalapeño sliders were also very pleasant. I was a little disappointed with the steak tenderloin, the steak was cooked to perfection but I wasn’t a fan of the accompanying sauce for this dish. The rice was very disappointing and a big let down for what overall was a very tasty meal.

Great service and atmosphere. The dishes are really delicious bites, and they were bite-sized. Tacos were the size of my thumb (see image). 2 micro tacos for £7. This restaurant is great for apps and drinks but not for a full dinner.

I have been there with two friends before a theatre show. We had three course meal, wine and coffee. Whole experience was great. The food was delicious, everything was presented in minimalist way, yet the view and taste was all fantastic. The staff members were kind, attentive and not intrusive. First the bad stuff - the hosts were useless. Continuously forgot the name under reservation, forgot that we got a table for 4 so showed us a table for 2, forgot and forgot and forgot - it was so annoying. But everything did change when we got to our seats. Cocktails here are amazing. Top notch tequila. Food is really pretty good, especially the robata ribs. Beef tartare tacos were sized for hamsters to eat (I've attached a picture), but everything else was quite well-portioned. Stan, our waiting staff, was also very nice and patient.

We had an amazing dinner yesterday night, the location is simple, contemporary and elegant at the same time, all the staff very friendly, the food just unbelievable, perfect combination between Mexican and Peruvian flavours, if you are a spicy lover that's definitely the place,nice presentation, specially the lamd on a hot stone... The cocktails, based on south American spirits are delicious, well studied and again the presentation just stunning, I loved the chilly ice ball in the lychee martini... I spent my birthday at Leicester Square Kitchen and it didn’t disappoint. Our waiter Gaetano was very friendly, accommodating and professional. As a party of 3 we ordered a range of delicious dishes that were amazing! Especially the chicken skewers and burger sliders! One of my friends isn’t a huge lover of spice and Gaetano and the team made sure she knew which sauces to avoid (thank you for your patience with that!) Overall our experience was a pleasant one, service was perfect, food was perfect, vibe was perfect! Will be returning in the summer!

Very upbeat place, modern and interesting. It is very busy with trendy crowd, not necessarily what I was looking for... I was looking for a real Mexican restaurant. Leicester Square Kitchen is good, but it's definitely not original Mexican. It is like a modern twist on Mexican / Spanish / South American tapas, but not very brave, created to fit mellow British taste. There is no starter / main dish menu, instead of that you get a choice of small (some are REALLY small) tapas-like dishes that are served in what it seems like a random order. And you need to order several to get filled. At the end, it's pretty expensive for not a real dinner. Drinks are great though! Overall, interesting experience.

There is no doubt that the quality of the food here is great and the service for me was more attentive before I sat down at the table. However, I do think for the portion sizes, it is overpriced. The size of the tacos is tiny which is why it is priced quite cheaply and when I say tiny I mean 'can fit in your mouth in one bite' kind of tiny. The Mexican rice isn't much to write home about either.

Excellent find. Dined here with a family of friends visiting from the US and we were blown away. Really creative menu of Mexican & Peruvian tapas. Every single dish was very tasty & beautifully prepared. There is a lot of spices and chillies across the menu but plenty to eat for those who don't like their food spicy. Drinks were tasty, we worked our way through margaritas, pisco sours and mexican beer, all expertly made and served. Ambiance was very cool but relaxed and friendly. And finally the service. Having told my American friends to manage their expectations on service levels in the UK vs US the staff here made a fool of me. Attentive, friendly, expert and accommodating. Daniel was our guy and worked hard to make our visit exceptional. All of this, and the total bill for 7 was very very reasonable, I was expecting 20-30% higher given location and standard we experienced. Can't recommend it enough, we will be back.

Had a family lunch there on January 12th. It was a truly great experience. Food (taster menu) was quirky, very tasty and sensibly priced, with plenty of veggie and vegan options. I’m neither fat nor greedy but seriously two tastes of bites for a course is just not on. And not cheap. Feels like yo sushi or those places where you need 15 plates to even feel like you’ve eaten anything. Nope. It’s not for me. And by the way ‘spicy broccoli was so so spicy it gave me a headache. Good job there was so little of it I guess.

Food was tasty, every course we had (which we shared) was very nice. We got the 4 courses and cocktails deal. We had the duck and tuna starter, then the chicken skewers and ribs, then the sea bass and king prawns. All lovely food, the staff were very attentive and friendly throughout. Magnificent Mexican Tapas! We ate here for a relaxed lunch, and it was FABULOUS. The menu consists of a range of smaller tapas dishes plus a smaller selection of larger plates. Our lunch for two, including a few drinks and service was £127. We were staying in the main hotel, so received a £15 credit. Pretty good value, considering quality of food, service and location. Would recommend - particularly if your are a spice fiend!

I'm not a tequila drinker, but their margaritas were tasty - the Lavender Fizz was particularly nice (Smokey Tommy’s, unfortunately recommended to me by the waiter - not so much). Nice outdoor seating just off Leicester Square if there's ever a nice enough day in London to sit outside!

What a refreshing experience! Considering this hotel is in the middle of Leicester square, the restaurant/bar in this hotel is so reasonably priced. I did not pay any more than I would expect to pay in a bistro pub. The food was wonderful. I just had a burger and chips but the meat was so delicious and the chips were perfectly made, I didn't want to put any condiments on them. My better half brought me here for my birthday last night. What can I say! The food is just an absolute delight, music to the taste buds and the staff are fantastic. If you ever venture into Leicester Square, make sure you pop in for a bite to eat, you're culinary senses will be forever in your debt.

Food arrived very quickly and all at the same time, which made the table a little messy. Also the order of the food was weird. received the nachos and guacamole after the meat...weird... taste of foo was ok but not mexican at all, missing punch. All in all, for the price you pay it feels more like a quick restaurant than a fancy one. in and out in just an hour, so not recommended if you want to enjoy a slow paced dinner.

Seriously doesn't live to ratings. Food all okish but heavily salted to point where broccoli dish that arrived 30 minutes after last dish was barely edible as so salted. Drinks all ok if overpriced. There are much better places within a few hundred metres to eat Mexican tapas style food. To be honest it came across as a terrible wagamama clone at high price and variable quality food. Would you go back, no. They appear to live on masterchef using kitchen once then look for MasterChef winner around corner that's actually cheaper

With velvet thrones and a rather decadent interior, the bar could be mistaken at first for being like any other Casino/Hotel/Theatre bar in Touristville, perhaps due to the outside dining during the day. However in the evening and on closer inspection it is rather cosy and stylish, and although I haven't eaten there, they have a great range of appealingly priced and mixed Cocktails. On a Saturday night, if you do ever find yourself in Leicester Square, get a front row seat by the window, order a Fig & Honey Sour and be fully entertained in this people watching retreat!
