There can only ever be one rating for this undisputed Queen of Old Compton Street ... 5 stars !!!!!

This is a place where to go and grab a nice Italian food. Decorations all over the year change and if you pass by around this days you will see a nice Easter decoration with plenty of chocolate eggs.
Nice welcoming from the team always ready to help you in your decisions.

Excellent traditional panettone bought from Lina Stores. A very good Italian delicatessen.
S. R.
Great Italian deli - you'll go in for one thing and come out with a bag full of treats! Staff very friendly and serve the best Espresso! Buon appetito :-)
S.
A good quality Italian Deli in the heart of Soho. Price a bit too high , especially for the pasta and the sauces.Good if you are looking for something genuine like cheese or meat .
Fast service and very friendly staff.
C. A. M.
Lovely, friendly, knowledgeable staff and a great range of store cupboard and deli items. Don't miss their porcetta or fresh pasta! My first choice in London for coffees, takeaway lunches and shopping for all my essential Italian goodies.
M. S.
Lovely Italian Deli with fresh pasta, Italian cheeses, pastries. Very friendly service
Y. L.
The finest range of Italian Grocery ♡ Friendly staff ♡ Charming decor ♡♡♡ There are few tables & chairs outside nowadays that you can also nibble under the arcade...but sorry not sure they do coffee...

A lovely deli store in the heart of London. Visit to leave here with something special. And always worth a second visit..go here to get something for that special meal you're planning. Or just grab some lunch :)

I flew in 13 hours from Singapore to London and the first meal I had was at Lina stores. And it was a great start to my holiday. I had their homemade 33 eggs taglionini with black summer truffles along with their baked abergine for starters and every was PERFECT. Simplicity is the key and I had so much joy consuming the al dente and delectable pasta. Staff was friendly and considerate; they specially noticed when I finished my starter so the pasta would be served on good timing. I wish I stayed in London so I can have their fresh pasta Everyday!
H. K.
Wow, best italian deli in london. Amazing fresh pasta. Very knowlwgeble staff, excelent selection of products.

Lovely shop with lots of excellent Italian delicacies! If you have a bit of a bigger budget and are looking for top Italian products then this is the place for you! Also the guys in the shop are great. Following very closely COVID rules as well as there are only 2 customers allowed in the shop at one time.
A. J.
Amazing! Authentic store with wonderful staff and the highest quality food. Always such a nice place to come, so massive credit to the staff for making it the gem that it is.
J. W.
Absolutely mind blowing food! Simple yet classic Italian Deli/Restaurant. The ingredients are always fresh and the ravioli are made on site that day. I took home some veal, courgette & mint and pumpkin ravioli my favourite was the courgette and mint. I recommend going to visit them beautiful place.
M. A.
Friendly staff and very Italian, had scrumptious ravioli and excellent coffee!
S. F.
It's hard to find italian cheese apart from parmigiano, but here you have a great choice!
Meat and fresh pasta are a must too.
A bit priced but it's normal if you want high quality.
T. C.
Popped in for good quality pasta and canned tomatoes. Got what I wanted.
G. H.
Beautiful store with large selection of great, but pricey, Italian delicatessen goods. Have introduced a tiny coffee bar Italian style meant for knocking back a quick espresso and then on your way.
Ready made pasta is very good too.
H. P.
The product range is huge and all products i tried were delicious and high quality. They have various meats and hams, cheese, antipasti and cooking products and their fresh pasta is perfect. Especially their ravioli are amazing - big and with a lot of filling. Also don’t miss the agnolotti!
The staff is friendly and will recommend you sauces to cook with the pasta if you ask.
My favourite deli in London!
A. N.
Best espresso in London. Even after a long day, I pop into Lina's to get a espresso and I walk out of there happy. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for authentic Italian items. Also the staff are so friendly and welcoming.
A. W.
It was the first time I tried the coffee here. Understandably, I had to queue for a few minutes as only 2 people are allowed in the shop at once. The social distancing measures are taken seriously, there were perspex screen guards at the counter, all staff were wearing face masks, there was anti-bac hand gel by the door for customers. The seating area outside was clean. The coffee was good quality and the cappuccino/ macchiato were made well, compared to other places I find are unable to froth the milk. Well- priced coffee considering the area it is in. The alternative milks available were soya and oat. I’d definitely grab a coffee here again!
O. P.
When you want to enjoy Italian cuisine and need authentic Italian ingredients, fresh or dried, this is the place to be. From ravioli or a homemade Bolognese sauce, to a whole meal set. You can even have your order delivered to your work place, if live outside their delivery areas. They open at weekends, too. The essential Italian shop in London. Grazie, Lina!
C. B.
Best place for pasta and sauces as well as a super wine selection! Basically you can't go in here and not come out with a lovely dinner and a dent in the credit card. There are so many fresh pasta and cheese choices it just really hard to pick what to get!
T. B.
It's very Italian - we waited for a sandwich to take away for about 10 minutes, but the quality of ingredients is top notch and the size of a sandwich is well above the average (and so is the price). Perhaps much better place if you are looking for authentic Italian meats and cheeses rather than a take away shop
L. A.
I always come here for gifts to give to friends. The products are amazing and the staff are very helpful.
J. H.
Great store but be careful. Tonight I went in to get sausage for a dinner for tomorrow. I asked for 8. I got home and noticed I only have seven. I'm sure this was an honest mistake, because this is a great store. But in the future I will have to count my sausages! Unfortunately the dinner is tomorrow and I can't go back to get more sausage. Other than that this is a great store with some really unique Italian items.
P. W.
Outstandingly authentic Italian Delicatessen and Grocery. The goods and the care taken slicing and wrapping meat is just as it is in Italy. Though, to be fair, many British grocers were once like this too. But when this shop opened in 1944 pretty well everything that you can find inside it now would have been rationed or unobtainable.
We just popped in to buy a lump of Nduja and a jar of Bottarga, as you do, and were blown away by the choice of goods. We stayed for a coffee at the outside seating area. Properly Italian too.
There is a sister restaurant nearby in Greek Street which I must visit soon. If it is half as good as the shop it will be worthwhile.
I should mention that the shop does have some seating inside and does serve food from a short menu. I will try to sample that next time.
Addendum Dec 2018. I can now confirm that the sister restaurant is excellent and authentic.
L. B.
Excellent service,very helpful 😊
Carnt wait to try the lemon chello 😊
M. F.
This place is a gem. Delightful owners and staff and an incredible array of amazing produce. A sneaky tip is to go in between 12pm and 2pm and order their homemade ravioli - it's absolutely gorgeous, served simply with a little sage butter and some fresh parmesan.
C. L.
Wonderful!
Whenever I am in the area, I head for Lina's. I have been shopping here for 30yrs and never disappointed with the superb quality of produce. Fresh cheeses, cured meats, homemade pasta, sandwiches, panettone, panforte, sauces, tasty bread & herbs. The shelves are stacked high with delicious, authentic Italian produce.
The lovely, 70yr old shop is full of history & the staff are, obviously, proud of their history. Friendly & happy to answer any questions.
The displays are eye- catching and truly beautiful.
Don't walk by, pop in to Lina!
S. M.
Lina have been a staple in our family for years. My parents went here, I go here and now I take my son. If you want the best mortadella this side of Italy then you should also come here. Frankly if you want the best Italian and Sicilian deli foods you should come here. Long live Lina!
A. C.
I felt the food sold in the grocery was overpriced, due to the central position perhaps. I found many of the brand products I usually buy elsewhere doubled the price. I also decide to sit there for a quick lunch: I had a portion of ravioli which was good.
L. B.
Plenty of above average products you can't even compare to the private label Italian food at usual store. Prices vary and some items are not worth the plus. Italian Christmas cakes are seasonal and they don't apply rebates which usually are quite generous in Italy (would you buy Christmas pudding in February? )
F. S.
Nice place, it has a lot of Italian stuff.
Formaggi E salumi from every region of Italy.
You can find everything.
They also sell topical breakfast biscuit from important Italian brands.
I give four stars just because is expensive, but again everything taste real Italian.
Very close to center of London.
A. E.
The foccacia sarnie with Parma ham, Stracciatella di bufala and semi-sun dried tomatoes was top notch.
K. D.
Amazing Italian food - so cheesy and tasty. Their Gnudi is a must try
K. K.
Perfect for specific Italian groceries, clean tidy, shop they sell 1 Kg of Blue and Red Caputo 00 flour and San marzano canned tomatoes..perfect for making neoplitan style pizzas
S. B.
Fantastic little italian deli that sells fresh pasta, meats, cheeses and food cupboard favourites. There is also a limited selection of wine and you can also stay and have a coffee or ask them to make you a sandwich to take away. The staff are all very friendly.
C. C.
A must visit in London to enjoy an authentic Cannoli and coffee oh my gosh they’re good. Sit outside by their pretty green tables and watch Soho go by! Great for a visit even if you’re not peckish, the atmosphere and decor alone is stunning.
A. K. (.
They do some nice natural fresh pasta. You can sit outside on the tables nicely set or eat inside. Brilliant food. just on the corner of an alley way on brewer street w1.
R. R.
Staff is super friendly and they have great quality Italian food. My go to place when I miss home and want to treat myself with an Italian meal at home. Also good for lunch as they serve great sandwiches.
J. W.
Phenomenal Italian deli in Soho. This place is stylish, beautifully decorated in mint and white and the high shelving units with sliding ladders are always tempting. Some seasonal variation in their fresh produce (great christmas selections and picnic options in the summer) but a reliable source for high quality Italian dried foods and preserves. Lovely for gifts and self-indulgent treats.
K. T.
Popped in to look and came out with a fantastic vista and some Tuscan herbed ham that was really very tasty. Look forwards to going back and trying more of their produce. Will definitely be returning for some cheese too!
D. H.
There is nothing in London which comes closer to being in Italy than this. If I could give it six stars I would
D.
excellent Italian deli- good fresh pasta- eat their food at outside tables and window seats inside. one of the best in London - along with Camisa in Old Compton Street and Luigis in Fulham Road
S. H.
Oh, how I love Lina Stores! It was one of the first places I bought food from when I came to London.. which was a LONG time ago. Consistently good food and service without crazy prices.
B. B.
Great range of ingredients to help you get your Italian on in the kitchen. Being able to buy Amedei chocolate in London by the gram gets Lina a 5 from me alone :)
A. H.
Friendly atmosphere and staff (family-run I believe). They were selling more food/drinks than I was expecting. If you love Italian food, try it!
S. R.
Excellent italian products! Remind me of shops in Rome where fresh pasta is a normal thing. Prices are adapted to London, though ... :-)
K. W.
Good selection of Italian delicatessen and produce freshly made pasta and sauces. Good quality Cured meats. Pastas, wine, desserts
K. K.
Lina is a delightful Italian goods store tucked away in Soho. Its' modestly sized interior hosts an impressive array of hard to find cheeses, including gorgeous Pecorinos, cured hams and hand made pastas (Do not miss out on their gigantic Ravioli).
A. M.
Great little store selling traditional Italian food. Everything from cheese to cured meats, to biscuits, canned foods, holiday treats (panettone, pandoro), and more. Owners are awesome (and actually Italian).
M. D.
Amazing canoli, fresh ricotta and crisp pastry
l. t.
A lovely family run Italian deli in Soho that you just would not expect to be on a little corner. Lots of good stuff in here, and I am always sucked in by the lovely packaging of everything and their stripy mint branding.
Not cheap as such but lovely quality...fresh pasta, meat, bread, cheese and the usual bottled/tinned Italian suspects. If you're going to a dinner party, buy one of their Lina totes and squidge it full of wine and cheese! I got one for my parents' anniversary and it went down very well.
I am currently in bloody mary experiments with the folks there, they have cracking teeny Seggiano tomato juice bottles which are perrrrfic for a tipple...I fear their concoction will beat mine but I am having fun trying!
Midweek is quieter and queues are shorter :).
C. M.
Beautiful produce, friendly staff, beautiful environment. The staff work hard to make this an upmarket deli serving locals as well as tourists. I love coming here to buy gifts
H. D.
Best Italian food in London. Wide range of hams, salamis and cheese, with the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Love this place.
H. H.
Great little gem, if you look for italian deli and speciality food you will find it here. The place is quite small but offers a good range. It's great as it is conveniently located in SOHO.
S. b.
Very traditional Italian deli, good products and beautiful display. Had a pasta to take away for lunch and the ravioli were amazing.
L. N.
Lovely and pleasant inside. good quality food and yeah very good all round. will use regularly
M. D.
A little bit of Italy in the heart of Soho. Competitive with supermarket prices for Italian specialties with better quality and personal service.
H. G.
Good food, disappointing service. Forgot our drinks and 2 dishes, however did try to compensate with drinks outside. I’d try and go as a ‘walk in’ for bar service only as that looks great, but take a miss on the downstairs.
L. H.
Great selection of real Italian products. Also one of the best coffee that you don't want to miss.
I. L.
Great place to grab some italian groceries.
But went down there for some drinks and charcuterie. There are some standing tables inside and seatings outside during summer.
S. F.
Amazing Pasta to go! Great Service, Great selection. It's more of a Deli than a restaurant though so make sure you know what you are in for.
C. M.
Really top Italian delicatessen stocking all the supplies you'll be hard pushed to find elsewhere, great service and really delicious sandwiches to eat at the counter or take away.
R. G.
Love their fresh and dried pasta, great cheese selection and need to pop back for some choccies!
B. M.
Really fresh & delicious pasta! In my opinion, one of the best affordable Italian places in town.
R. T.
Good Italian store for typical regional food. Good for Italians looking for something special and for others that want to start eat properly
w. t.
Nothing they dont carry, and their lunch offerings are off the chain. Great staff to boot, they really know their onions (and breads and meats)
G. C.
Little Italian shop in the center of London. They sell a lot of Italian food very fresh and delicious! I like it!
V. B.

Great range of fresh authentic produce, reasonably priced, with staff that really let you browse and take your time. Will be back often.
S. D.
I am generally quite a lazy individual and i also like good food (I really should go to the gym, I'm getting tubby) Anyway, Lina stores make really good home made pasta which I can knock up for my tea in a couple of minutes, they also do a great selection of cured meats and a mean cup of coffee - but mainly go for the pasta..
D. R.
Italian delicatessen in the ♥ of soho.. Good also for a Ciabatta during lunch time.. Cost less than Pret and the food is much better!
D. B.
Frankly it’s an overpriced Italian Institution, the food was ok but nothing spectacular, the prices are a bit excessive even for Soho. At the end of the day it’s a plate of pasta.
A. M.
Independent Italian deli with a long history in this location. The fresh pasta to take home in the back is notable.
P. K.
One of the best Italian delicatessen in London.

(Translated) one of the top rated Italian food restaurants in the town, the served a homemade variety of pastas that's with very delicious taste 🤤🤤 we ordered from the appetizer menu the Arancini which is basically two frided ball of parimizan moxed with other stuff and one topped with pear 🍐 jam and the other topped with truffle .. we also ordered from the pasta menu the Gnudi alla sorrentina which is 3 balls of melted ricotta mixed with spinach and underlined with tomato sauce and taste like heaven 🤩.. also we ordered the tagliolin truffle and it delicious but little bit oily. I wished to try their tiramisu but unfortunately it had an alcohol with recipe so we couldn't. the place is crowded and noisy but the staff and the service is fantastic
It requires a reservation before you go there.

(Translated) Always nice to find the products of your land even overseas. However, even before this brexit, prices were not that high and still are if not more expensive. Obviously the quality is there and the Italianness as well but for the wallet it is not much.
(Original)

(Translated) Nothing to take away from all of the bench-quality products "to be in London" Thank you ... the other day I wanted to try the homemade bread, while I was eating I realize in some parts of the small pieces blacks, I thought of will you sow ... but no! Nn can not figure out what it is, as the son of a baker, I thought, might be dirty or flour ... or dirt oven where it is baked, but find them right inside nn I know, I just wanted to know if anyone has noticed this, it can also be a nothing, but strange, for me the bread, rejected.
