Hidden gem of East London!!
Great atmosphere and delicious food ... Friendly staff.
Would tell anyone to try this place. Tuck into comforting dishes such as Oven Baked Tortilla, Chicken Fillet Steak, Beef Goulash and Braised Pork Loin Steaks... Pudding Plum Tart Tatin is a must!

Where else can you sit in a Pharaoh's head? The cocktails are brilliant but the food a little lacking. The atmosphere and incredible décor more than make up for it and it is a great place to take people just to see their surprise. The wallpaper in the toilets does come with a 12+ rating!

Absolutely loved it, like walking into Alice in Wonderland only in ancient Egypt or Mesopotamia. The contrast between the tame exterior of the converted pub and the outlandish interior was the most fantastic impression. A delicious hideaway!

This is a local restaurant to me and has always been a good standard - I went a week ago and the food continued to be good value for money, with amazing decor, atmosphere and the service was fine too. Would definitely go again. For the ambience, money and location it's one of the best in the area.

This Egyptian themed dining hall is something straight off the set of Indiana Jones. There are Sphinx fireplaces, saucy loos and hieroglyphics galore. And you can perch yourself on a hanging balcony or in the gigantic urn.
Self-appointed as London’s’ most eccentric dining room, the crazy juice has definitely been in full flow here. The décor is bonkers. The Egyptians, Romans and Greeks have all run riot and crammed quirkiness into every corner - and when you head to the toilets you’ll see the Victorians have got involved too with some somewhat suggestive ceramic tiles. You soon forget you’re in the middle of Hackney and wonder whether The Mummy might return once more.
The food is French, remarkably cheap, and taken a lot more seriously than its surroundings. Recommended.
Thanks for the tip off: Michelle Godfrey, Pablo Discobar, Red Sarah, Isobel Scott, Alicia O’Dell, Katie Brotherhood and Nadja Willis.

Cool venue, fantastic service and great food. Would recommend.
Lot's of small niches to get cosy in. Surroundings are covered in Egyptian decor

Great setting for a meal and really good value for money however service wasn't great and my goulash came complete with some paper mixed into the sauce

Weird décor, but it's still good food and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd go back.
