Food was amazing !! Full of spice like a typical indian place. Service was really nice as well they were really caring. Recommending it eye’s closed.
R. M.
Delicious food!!!! Nice place and very friendly staff!! See you soon

It was our first visit and we really enjoyed it.. the food was tasty and the portion was very good. Real indian taste. Their customer service is amazing and food was served hot and fresh. I recommend this restaurant
O.
Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and amazing service! Had a great lunch today. Thank you, Mango team ✨👍🏻🥭✨
P. K.
The customer service was great and the restaurant atmosphere very pleasant. Unfortunately I found the food very overpriced. Portions are small given the price, vegetable dish made mostly of peas and not fresh vegetables should not in any case be that pricy. They we're also unable to make the food spicy and it had huge amount of oil.

The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive, willing to go the extra mile to ensure you had an enjoyable dining experience

Happened to visit this place for my husband's birthday , was unhappy about my table but soon the attention and politeness of the staff made up for the unhappy part .
Starters were very yummy but quantities a bit disappointing . Worth mentioning the chaat items that were really yummy .
Mains were equally good with special mention for Dal makhani and paneer .
Mango brulee was missing but Paan flavoured kulfi was extremely good .
A nice cozy place for a very good meal !!!!!!

One of the best curry restaurants about.
Great service and great food.
Nice ambience.
Amazing menu choices.
I go here regularly and I would 100% recommend to everyone to go.
You won't regret it.

Excellent authentic Indian Food. Should try Thier veg makahani and Deserts brownie it was mouth watering...

What a great meal and good service! All our dishes were excellent. Super fresh and properly spiced.

Been to around 10 Indian restaurants so far and this is by far my favourite. Food full of flavour, exceptional service, beautiful and clean interiors. Been with a group of 4 and we were all impressed.

Enjoyed our Indian Takeaway meal from Mango. We tried a few Vegetarian curries - very tasty, good quality. The bread and rice were also lovely. I wrote a feature for my blog so took a few pictures, I will load these up to share with you .... enjoy!

Here after a few beers in Borough Market. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Not many other tables in there occupied on a Wednesday night. Food great - meat platters and breads with luscious Dal Makhani. Spoke to the head waiter and business has not really been that great - so need to get there more!
A. K.
We visited on a tight timescale and with very specific requirements due to my child only eating particular dishes. They were very friendly and accommodating, the chef came out and spoke to us to ensure the order was correct. The food was simply delicious. I would highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely visit
R. S.
Decent food. Good service. Limit ed options of beers. Fairly expensive. Is not wheel Chair accessible unless they have an alternate entry. Curry taste is better than most of the self-proclaimed Indian restaurants. Seekh kebabs were delicious, although you can give Biryani a miss.
L. T.
Pretty much a run of the mill Indian cuisine, the food is OK however it is somewhat of a pricey restaurant. Would I return, probably not, purely based on value for money.

Visiting London and went to Mango. Very good Indian food with friends/family. My favorite dish was the appetizer Aloo Tikka (perfect) and should have had more of that. Main dishes were the Lamb with rice and the Goan Fish curry. Lamb was good (tender) Fish was better (tender and a sweet taste I didn’t expect).
All main dishes are meant to serve one person. However we ordered an appetizer, bread basket and 2 mains for 3 people and we had a little left over. Thus saying I think portion sizes are well done. The bread basket contains sweet naan so if you don’t like sweet naan skip the peshwari naan.
Absolutely worth your visit...

Nice small restaurant, nice bright inviting decor, food was well presented and tasty, the Murgh Makani was delicious and creamy similar to how I make it 😋, some dishes are a lil over priced for what you get in quantity like the meat platter but they do make up for in terms of quality! Service was attentive and friendly, just right for a busy Friday night too, not too much and not too little! Only thing I could say negative was could be a little more gentle when placing plates/dishes as they were sometimes kinda crashed down on the table but all in all a good review and a good restaurant. Would go recommend! 👍🏾
P. S.
I do love this Indian. I’ve been coming here for many years and they have a great menu. Not your usual traditional dishes mind which makes the place unique.
G. B.
Really enjoyed eating here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is authentic and not your usual "British Indian" affair. The flavors are great and not overly rich and greasy. I especially loved the tandoori roti and dal makhani. Good variety of choices for vegetarians. The prices are as expected for a central London location. I would recommend visiting.
Y. D.
This is by far london’s best kept secret for Indian food! The service was lovely but the food is sensational, the fish curry tasted as though it was fresh out of the ocean and the Kadai lamb was incredibly tender. The only regret I have is not discovering this place sooner!
J. D.
We weren't put off by some bad reviews and didn't regret it. Food very good, prices very correct, very friendly and quick service, everything was great.
T. B.
My wife booked a table here to celebrate my birthday whilst we were staying in London. It was quite possibly one of the best Indian meals I've ever had.
We had light, crispy poppadoms with a tray of dips to munch on before we ordered lamb samosas and the kebab platter to start. Everything was delicious and fresh. This was followed by chicken jalfrezi and haryali chicken tikka for mains. All the dishes were super tasty and had just the right level of spice. Nothing was greasy and everything was well proportioned.
The staff were really attentive and couldn't have done enough for us. As a birthday treat they also brought out some ice cream and a complimentary shot to wash it down with!
The experience was extra special when we saw our favourite bottle of wine on the drinks menu!
I'd definitely call this a hidden gem and would recommend it to anyone! It's quite small, so if you're planning on going I'd recommend booking beforehand. It was a very popular, busy place where you can dine in or order it to take away.

We were recommended to try this restaurant by our son and daughter in law who had enjoyed it when they lived in London a few years ago. We were visiting Borough Market and went to Mango for lunch. It did not disappoint. We went without a reservation but were welcomed warmly. The food was different from what we have experienced in the states, but very good and attractively presented. Definitely worth a visit!
K. S.
We all hear of the incredible synergy that is Indian food and London, and a fine example of that is to be found right here at Mango! I'm only here for a week, not sure when I will return, and even at home I rarely do a repeat visit because I want to try new places. This one I will visit once more before I leave. Excellent food, great service, cosy environment. Highly recommended.

First class!
Great and friendly service in a stylish venue.
The food is fantastic.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Small Indian restaurant with around 20 tables, located very central, we went on a Sunday and it was surprisingly busy. The food was tasty and presented well, rice is separate price to main dishes. Portion sizes are average but what we ordered was still enough and filled us to the rim. Waiters were very accommodating and always happy to help. The Venus it self was clean and a fancy design.
E. T.
Great experience, the food was amazing but really really noisy place.
K. H.
One of my favorites, but get in quick, food is brilliant and the place is always packed. Get in for a late lunch as the place fills quickly.
H. H.
Great tasting food for a good price.
Never had Indian previously to this experience, that said, I loved the food here and I would definitely go back given the opportunity.
W.
Food (8/10): The food here is good. The shaami kebab was surprisingly good. The seekh kebab not so much. Papri chaat was decent, although not the best I've had by a long shot. Try Indigo at Westfield White City for a great Aloo Papdi chaat. The chicken karachi was decent.not incredibly spicy but just right. I wouldn't class this place as authentic Indian. I personally feel that Est India down the road has nicer food and is generally more spacious and feels less crowded.
Price (Avg per head): A bit on the average to above average price point. Given the location this is expected. Approximately £25-30 per head. Add beverages and it will be pushed up.
Service (8/10): Overall the service here was really prompt. The waiters were very attentive and would swipe things from the table swiftly and were quick to serve our food. This, however, was a bit distracting in my opinion, as in the middle of conversations I'd find a waiter reach over and grab my cutlery, plates etc, and I'd have to politely thank them for it. It felt a little rushed and whilst I understand this is a small restaurant, I couldn't help but feel that they needed to turn tables quickly. Not something I blame them for, but not something I like when trying to have an evening meal. I don't like feeling rushed. Otherwise the service was very good. The waiters were polite and asked us about each dish that was served.
Atmosphere/ Occasion: The seating is cramped, as the restaurant is small. In the evenings it can get busy and because of the small size of the restaurant this causes a great deal of noise. It's difficult to hear yourself think, which in my books half defeats the purpose of going out for a meal. You want to be able to socialise without having to contend with other people's loud voices. Overall this restaurant is good, the toilets are very cramped and semi clean. Overall I'd go to Est India over this place any day. It has an overall better atmosphere.
C. A.
Although this review might be exaggerated due to a few pints we both really enjoyed our food. She had the chicken makhani murgh great flavour. I had the lamb chop masala which again was great flavour and spice. The basket of naans is a top idea, serving 9 small naans of 3 different kinds. Great staff. Overall a great experience.
W. W.
Popped in for a Xmas night out with some colleagues. The food was very good and staff helpful & patient considering some of our group with pretty drunk.
J. A.
Pretty good, westernised Indian food. A bit expensive for what it is but still worth the occasional visit
T. P.
We went without a reservation and they still found a seat for us. The food was absolutely incredible, I would consider returning to London just to eat here again. The service was fast and friendly and they're happy to answer any questions you have. If you're looking for top Indian food, look no further- just make a reservation so you don't miss out.
A. D.
Probably one of the nicest Indian meals I've ever had. Flavours were amazing and the mixed starter was stunning. Looking forward to going again next time I'm in London
S. T.
Really enjoyed. An excellent, clean, tasty curry. We've been quite disappointed by a few of the other local restaurants. If the chefs threaten to leave please offer them a payrise. Also don't change management. Also thanks to the deliverer who was very well mannered. Very impressed. Order over the website!
N. A.
The makhani daal tastes truly authentic! The aloo tikki was decadent too!! Definitely coming back!!
S. C.
Small place with tasty Indian food. Good for a small group. Online reservation didn't work for me and I had to call to book the place.
D. D.
Tried the papudam and the goan fish curry. Delicious!! An absolute must-have if you want great indian food with friendly service
V.
Very nice and friendly people was living in IBIS hotel just around the corner as the hotel is fantastic same Mango restaurant food and the staff is really nice and taste amazing thanks to Ashutosh who served us and recommended best dishes to us thanks
N. G.
It's quite a bit congested and little bit unfriendly staff especially for Indians sad irony as majority of customers are Indians there. Food quality is good and tasty, though not worth the price. Yes I felt it unreasonable and misleading as well because the portions were quite small. Not kid friendly..
i. t.
I ate meat platter and this is totally recommended menu!
Spicy meats and nice nan.
In addition, service was great.
P. P.
Amazing food. Loved the non-vegetarian starter and fish curry (be aware, its spicy)
M. N.
Food excellent. Fresh and tasty. Service very very good.

Visited Mango Indian Restaurant last week for the first time and I must admit my partner and I were very impressed by their hospitality. Located by the banks of River Thames, 3-4 minutes walking distance and you're there!
Ash and Ali, two of the staff looked after us very well and we felt at home. Extremely friendly. Us being vegetarian, Ash also recommended some vegetarian starters and main dishes which turned out to be quite delicious! Carefully prepared and delicately decorated starters were presented in a very timely manner whilst we nibbled on some poppadoms and chutneys. Mains were also served quite quickly with no extra delays at all..
Also observed some great safety measures during this Covid-19 uncertainties, toilet and wash room was clean with all facilities you'd expect from a decent restaurant.
We'll definitely be visiting again and pleasantly recommend Mango Indian to anyone visiting Central London or River Thames area for some great and tasty dining.
Thank you Ash and Ali for your warm and welcoming experience, we'll see you again soon. Stay safe and well.
S. G.
Great service, tasty food. Recommend the lamb chops and chaat.
J. B.
Modern Indien Restaurant with delicious and fresh Food. The price is ok for London. We were convinced with the freshness.
V. R.
Very friendly staff, cozy location and nice food. However, one star removed as both our dishes included hidden coriander - a divisive taste many, us included, do not like.
T. H.
Good selection on the menu. We shared a few starters which were all extremely good. Unfortunately the duck curry was a little tough although the sauce was a lovely flavour. I would like to see non alcoholic beers to wash it down with on the menu as I am pregnant. Very helpful staff and a lovely atmosphere. Have been before, would go back again.
A. A.
They have good lamb dishes, and the staff treat the customers very carefully and politely
M. P.
I didn’t have much expectation from this place but it was definitely a pleasant surprise. I didn’t have a reservation and was welcomed. I’ve been in London for a week and have been eating out a lot and this place by far provided the best service. I was starting to think that the poor service that I received from 10+ restaurants is a cultural norm. Fortunately, the staff here was very attentive and timely. I really appreciate it. It makes the food taste better. I had the lamb korma and I thought it was delicious. The ice cream for dessert was also very good. My daughter enjoyed it very much. I would definitely come again.
A. A.
Really good food. It's a bit pricey but completely worth it. Can't wait to go again
M. M.
Delicious food, lovely ambience and excellent service!
K. K.
Kebab selection starter was tasty, especially the lamb chops - but small. The chef's signature lamb shank was disappointing, lacked in flavour. Chicken chettinad was my favourite dish of the evening. Most annoying thing was that while the menu had craft beers, there were none available, and our waiter didn't tell us that when giving us the drinks menus. All in all, I had high expectations because of the great reviews, but I would rather continue going to Est India nearby - it's better food, service and better value for money.
J. D.
What a fantastic Indian, food was really a cut above standard Indian fare, a king prawn dish I. Particular was a real stand out, beautifully cooked prawns beautifully presented with a delicious sauce, can’t recommend enough 😀
M. C.
The food was exquisite, well cooked and prepared and taste was out of this world! I highly recommend this place for the food, the staff and the amazing level of service. In particular, the staff member Ashutosh, who was diligent, kind and very warm to all of the customers. We will be visiting again real soon (hopefully less drama!) and very excited to taste the delicious food again!
h. d.
Good food, excellent service and generally superb value, a little hidden gem. Indian food with a contemporary twist.
K. C.
I've visited this restaurant a few times and it never fails to deliver quality Indian food. As it's a relatively small restaurant, I would suggest booking a table in advance especially at busy times. The portions are generous so beware of order-ordering. The poppadom starters and accompaniments are far superior to other restaurants I've visited. The waiting staff are friendly and available to answer queries about the menu. My only negative comment is that the service charge is added to the bill which is something I don't like as I prefer to decide how much tip I should leave.
R. R.
Absolute gem! Being an Indian, I've visited many places claiming to be Indian and ending up disappointed - but not here! Loved their Laal Maas (chilli mutton) - spice levels in this dish are not for the faint-hearted!
E. C.
Great food! Been there and ordered multiple times on Deliveroo and we're always happy with what we get. I would specifically recommend the lamb shank.
C. D. C. L.
I’ve been here a couple of times over the years and every time the food is delicious and intensely flavoursome and the staff are friendly, welcoming, polite and efficient.
S. W.
Pretty solid Indian food.
W. M.
A really nice Indian restaurant, serving moderately priced dishes!
They are located on a big street so the place is easy to find. Decorations is very nice in a typically Indian style, but I don't like the fact that all the tables are located very close so you don't have a lot of personal space. You have to worry about other people listening in on your conversations or the place getting too noisy, but otherwise the food is simply delicious.
They have a typical Indian dishes menu, but also some unique and not so common ones. If you are up to trying new stuff out you will be surprised that everything tastes delicious so you can't really make a mistake there. They prepare the food very quick and arrange it always in interesting ways.
The staff are all very polite and welcoming, they are quite experienced and work very efficiently.
All in all if you are in the area and in the mood for Indian food don't forget to check out this place.
S.
The lamb shank curry is on another level, legit one of the best curries I have ever had. I unfortunately had a big breakfast before coming here for lunch and felt depressed because I wasn't able to finish the dish. Highly recommend this place.
J. L.
Delicious Indian food. This is a small, somewhat upscale restaurant, with very courteous and professional service. I had three small vegetarian dishes that were all very good, and the raita was the best I ever had - a very simple dish done here with a twist. Prices are moderate and this restaurant offers great value for the money. I was lucky to get in without a reservation, but given the fact it is small it is probably best to make one.
E. M.
I was really pleased I found this small Indian restaurant near Borough Market last having seen very good reviews on it here. Thursday night and hot weather meant Borough Market and the restaurant was busy but the staff were able to fit us in for 30 minutes later. No problem, we just went for another drink close by. The food was excellent - soft shell crab starter had the right amount of spice, good sized portion of two crabs and the tempura was not greasy at all. The dora seek lamb kebabs were also a good sized starter - we could have shared one between us. The chicken chettinad was very good but the tandoori mixed grill meat platter was superb. The meat was cooked to perfection, plentiful and came with garlic nan and sauces. We added a yellow dall too on the side. The food is excellent as was the very friendly service. I look forward to coming back here.
G. M.
This is such a lovely place. We had the perfect Indian dinner, not as traditional as you might get it somewhere else, but taste and quality was amazing. The service was really good but next time we would make a reservation. Overall even the price was alright. I'd love to visit again.
N. L.
Really nice food. Original, very flavorful, very varied. I love Indian but sometimes it gets to be always the same greasy choices, not there. Service was good. The setting is pleasant although pretty compact.
E. T.
Really great Indian food here with probably some of the best use of fresh ingredients in their cooking I've seen in London so far. You can really tell the difference when you look at their food on the plate, though you may suffer in the wallet as this place is slightly more pricey than your average Indian. But then again, it tastes better than your average Indian. Winner!
M. A.
Fantastic place with a slight view of the shard! Staff are very helpful and thoughtful! Food is awesome!
F. L.
This is quite the best Indian restaurant I have been to in a very long time. The dishes are full of subtle, tantalising flavours and the chef, whom we met, who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his craft, cooks with enormous flair. The staff are also hugely accommodating. We didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was packed to the gunnels and yet they found a spot for us where we could be comfortable. I found one of the dishes, while very flavourful, to be slightly too hot for me. They immediately changed it for another dish which was divine. The owner is also very personable and keen to make his guests' experience a memorable one. A thoroughly delightful evening with utterly scrumptious food.
E. H.
I've ordered about 5 takeaways from here over the last year, every time the food was great. I called up to ask about vegan options (there are a few to choose from) and they were very helpful.
j. p.
If you are visiting Tower of London and if you are searching for indian taste then must visit this place.
I was hungry and looking for Indian restaurant. I found mango on Google, went to taste the food. And it was nice. Taste and quality both are very good. Large size curry bowl is enough for 4 people. We have ordered bucket of naan, and peshawari naan was finger licking good. Gulabjamun with vanilla ice cream was awesome!!!!
Only complaint with toilet, too small. You cant even move after locking the door.
A. P.
Very tasty curries and a great selection to choose from - this time I had Goan Jhinga with Lemon Rice which was extremely delicious and the perfect amount of spice. One of the best Indian restaurants in London.
t. c.
Went without booking. They accommodated two people just fine. Very nice food but left hungry - only had a main course though. Excellent poppadoms and dips. Also has the best glass cleaner ever.
J. B.
Lovely food, great atmosphere, wonderful hospitality. Shall come again.
O.
absolutely delicious food and perfectly friendly staff!
we had two different currys, absolutely delicious and there was no long waiting time neither for starters nor for main dishes. staff was very friendly and helped us to choose the right curry for us. we will visit again for sure!
A. R.
Wow, this place was amazing. The staff did a set menu for our group and it was amazing. A great selection of started and mains and all very reasonable. Great atmosphere and the staff were really friendly and super helpful.
B. E.
We hadn't booked but they made room for us and it was a truly delicious meal. The service was a little terse at first but warmed up and became friendly as the meal progressed. If we lived nearby we would be regular guests. Even something as simple as their nan trio was beautifully executed.
J. S.
Went here on New years eve before popping all g to see the fireworks on the Thames.
Food was served promptly on hot plates (yay!) We were able to take our time and were not rushed. Good quality food and great service.
M.
Really good food. Everything arrived nice and hot, the plates were warm too to keep the meal warm. The Dal Makhani was so delicious, and the herbed naan was to die for. A hot wet towel cane after the meal and an orange chocolate to end. Would definitely return for dinner again.
J. F.
My first visit to Mangor Tree was lovely. I was really impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They not only meet, but exceeded my expectations. The food was also really good - the dishes we ordered were beautifully presented and most importantly, not too spicy. Don't forget to try the Chicken Chetinnad - one of the tastiest dishes I've ever had.
R. W.
Mango is tucked away down an unassuming street but the food and ambience was anything but indistinct. It’s small but perfectly formed, the food is delicious and the service is friendly. The jalfrezi in particular went down very well indeed. I did however wake up numerous times throughout the night to guzzle water so I’m guessing they like salt here - have two pints on the bedside table in preparation.
K. M.
Great food and very welcoming. Will be back!
H. J.
Food : 7/10
Price : 3/5
Feelgood factor : 5/10
Good Indian. Actually/surprisingly it is pretty decent and it keep comes back to me, thinking about it when i have other Indian. Decent curries with full flavours (as i know a lot of good to eat but flavourless Indians). Place can be little bit crowded/squeezed and noisy...
L. W.
Simply beautiful Indian food. Certainly amongst the best I've had outside India. We ordered some delicious lemon rice, naan, okra, and Tandoori paneer. The smoky flavors were really something else! All items on the menu are reasonably priced. The toilets were a little cramped.
D. C.
Having just moved to Borough and fancying a Sunday night takeaway I scoured Google Local reviews for the place to try - Just Mango Tree was the standout option. Ordered over the phone and was able to pick-up within 15mins. Greeted by very friendly staff and the restaurant looked good, so was tempted back for a sit down next time. Unfortunately, my go to curry of Chicken Jalfrezi was just OK - sauce was quite watery, over salted and wasn't overtly generous with the chicken. I will try it again but may have to explore the rest of the menu and hope I have better luck.
A. H.
I went here for my 30th birthday and there was a group of 11 of us. Situated in walking distance of London Bridge station and near a few good pubs for pre (and post) curry drinks!
Service was very friendly, quick and patient, everyone enjoyed their food and the waiter made good recommendations.
Small enough to feel like you are getting good attention from staff, but big enough to have a good atmosphere.
Up there with the best curry houses I've been to and I will definitely visit again.
M. H.
This is a gem of a place. When I heard we were going to a Indian, I was not happy. But the food was one of the best Indian I have in a very long time. The place was a little cosy but the food made up for it.
G. C. (.
A great restaurant with wonderful food and service. They make traditional Indian food and they are all very tasty. The service was good and they were attentive, even though the restaurant was quite busy. Can really recommend giving them a try.
P. S.
Fourteen of us are here at the weekend and we were blown away in equal measure.
Whilst I am not a connoisseur, I have eaten Indian food (and what passes for Indian food) all over the UK, and in rural south India.
And the food here was knockout. Just extraordinary.
It was as if the food was made exactly to my specifications but without asking me!
T. T.
Nice restaurant with traditional well sourced food. The service was not too bad taking into consideration how busy it was. Can really recommend giving them a try.
N. C.
The food has always been good, but service can be hit and miss. When we went, one person in our group ordered 'vodka cranberry', and without asking, they poured top shelf and charged £14! We thought it was very presumptuous and cheeky to do this..
C. B.
Food is good. Service could be better. I'm.not saying service is bad. But there are other authentic Indian restaurants around that offer great food and great service. Couldn't help but compare the experience with two different restaurants 24hrs apart
L. D.
Cannot fault this tiny restaurant with its refreshing take on traditional curries that are simply brimming with a rainbow of incredible flavours. The service was practical and matter of fact but polite and the atmosphere is modern and cosy.
N. M.
I ordered vegetarian and loved the vegetable and crisp nan. The only flip point of this place is it's a tad bit away from main road. It takes time to walk down and figure out the place from millennium bridge. There were some chat options as well, although I didn't order but looked tempting.
R. R.
Slightly cramped but one of the best Indian food in London Bridge, they used to do Lunch menu not not been there for sometime now. Check them out if you are in the area.
N. V.
I had never heard of this place but was invited to join a friend for lunch. The service here was amongst the best I have had - not too much but just enough. The food was excellent and perhaps the best part of a good quality London dining experience, I never felt pushed to leave. Definitely worth a visit.
T. S.
Nice place, with a good enviroment. While service was good, and the atmosphere friendly, the food was maybe a few pounds overpriced for what it was, with maybe a little too much garam masala in my meal. Worth going back with anyone you want to impress.
A. s.
Beautiful people, beautiful mouthwatering food. Simply delicious. No extra oil floating in dishes..... quick service. Staff was so respectful.
D. H.
Just Mango Tree ins't a bad curry house for this area of London. I did visit a few years ago and had a better experience but all in all it serves a great variety of indian dishes. I tend to stick to a dhansak for my curry and tbh, it wasn't that great here.. I've had far better. That said, the atmosphere is nice, the staff are friendly and the starters were amazing.
A. M.
I had a very pleasant experience here, in spite of being at a literal table for 1 looking at a wall, but I was OK with that as space seemed to be at a premium. The food was nice and tasty and came at the right side of quick. Certainly not the best I've ever had but most certainly not the worst, top 5.
D. C.
Mughlai Korma with lamb is the best korma in London. The sauce is very rich and creamy, with an excellent cashew flavor. It provides the perfect base for the lamb chunks to melt in your mouth (and they do).
M. G.
Food is good
Nice staff
Max 30 member dine at a time.
Mostly crowded, if dine in, then book and go for week days.
Open in week ends also, where most of hotels in London closed.
No spicy food. All food converted to please local, sweetish
You can dine in or take away
I. G.
Great tasting food! Wasn't shy on the heat either. Needs a bit of a refresh, especially for price, which averaged over £35 a head for some poppadoms, a main and a beer (and a bit).
F. C.
Overall, quite good, but when you order a 'Butter Chicken' (with chicken in the name), you then have to pay extra for the chicken...
R. H. J.
The key to Mango Indian’s success as a restaurant lies in its authenticity - here is an Indian eatery that focuses on the richness of India’s culinary traditions with an attention to detail that is, consistently, fantastic. I have ordered takeaway food from Mango Indian repeatedly and each time I am impressed with the flavours on offer - complex, frangrant, and spicy notes combine to create a memorable experience that leaves me coming back for more! The Kadai Murgh is my personal reccommendation - a multilayered blend of spices, peppers, and chicken brought to life by these talented chefs.
N. M.
Hmm... Starters shockingly small for the price. I wasn't blown away with the taste of the mains. The place seems to have an echo, and gets very loud so the ambience isn't great if you want to have a conversation with people at your table
R. R.
Fantastic authentic Indian curry house in borough market.
G. J.
excellent, we went on a Sunday night so it was obviously a bit quiet & the staff were maybe a little too attentive & keen, BUT do not let that take anything away from this place, the good was gorgeous, the meat platter was beautifully prepared & presented.
I can highly recommend this place
J. L.
I've been enjoying curries since about 1980 and Mango is now my favourite restaurant despite being 400 miles away from my home!
Fresh, abundant and smaller than usual poppadoms were smashing.
My tandoori meat platter was sublime. Lamb chops were braw and chicken tikka deeply marinated and moist. Blah blah blah.
The bread was perfectly cooked, lightly ghee'd and simply lovely.
Don't read my waffle, if you love curry and in South London then give it a go.
A. W.
Cheap but good, chicken curry for only 5 £
R. B.
Excellent food, came out piping hot, and exceeded expectations. Prompt, friendly service. We were looking for traditional Indian and it nailed it.
G. S. G.
Excellent food and friendly service. Went with my wife and two children (6 and 3). Even though not a typical place for little children the staff were super helpful and accomodating. Best daal makhani and raita yogurt i've had, rest of the vegetarian dishes were great too. Highly recommend it.
D. C.
Good Food but way overpriced. Service could be better. I know I ordered the same beer again but even at Wetherspoons I get a fresh clean glass.
D.
Good Indian food. I had a paneer curry that was excellent. Ambiance could be more cosy but does the job. Staff friendly and efficient.
1.
Excellent food always busy. Only reason for 4 stars is that due to size it can be a squash or maybe can't get in at all. If you do you won't be disappointed .
M. Y. P.
Lovely meal and attentive staff. Wish they could push the walls a bit. And is not as hot & spicy as some Indians I would say. Defenetly will go back 🍻
C. C.
I don't know what's wrong when I went here. Maybe because I'm not really into Indian foods. Anyways, my concern is their way of treating customers. I hope they will be polite to their costumers all the time.
R. G.
Great quality Indian food with fresh food and strong flavours. Excellent service each time I've visited. Definitely recommend.
S. P.
Good food freshly prepared, so it takes some time before it is served. But worth the wait. If you are around the area and love Indian food visit the place.
L. M.
Visiting from New Zealand - Staff are lovely and very attentive, they listen and make great recommendations to suit your palette, so the food that arrives is perfect for you! Very reasonably priced.
S. C.
Really nice food and service is generally speedy. Tucked away in a little side street, this can often be missed. Always have nice food but the service is some times hit and miss. Often they don't even smile! Service has got better over the years so i'm hopeful for the future.
S. S.
The food was really good.. butvthe server had an arguement with the people sitting on the next table because they were ordering desert adter calling for the bill... and it ruined our dining experience
C. W.
Very good indian, food not too oily, biryani was great! Only downside is the price a bit higher than I'd expect
P. M.
Fantastic dining experience, friendly service, hospitable and very welcoming. Can't understand why people are reviewing 1 star. Highly recommend
C. J.
My friends and I had a great night at Mango Indian. The food was delicious, staff very helpful and great value.
N. M.
One of the better Indian restaurants in the area. Tasty food and good service. Nice place to have a meal at but they deliver promptly too
M. S.
They claim to have thrown away the typical Brit-Indian curry recipes but I'm not convinced they have entirely. What they served was tasty and enjoyable though.
N. L.
Nice interior and atmosphere, staff are very friendly and really enjoyed the food. Great jalfrezi and the other dishes looked promising too!
M. K.
Well visited Indian restaurant wirth goood food.
Small with modern interior.
Service was good but a little hard to understand for not English native speakers.
Prices are fair so close to the Themse.
P. S.
Some of the best Indian food I have ever had. Great service and friendly people!
R. T.
Good place, always visit with our office colleagues. Good food and staff are polite.
Try the 2 course meal and also the cobra beer which is my favourite there.
C. l.
I have to say , great food .off the beaten track , well worth winkling out happy hunting.
A. K.
Taste was good, but have less quantity for big dish..... Although getting Indian food around London tower Bridge area is worth
M. K.
Excellent curry Indian food, good service and cozy place to with family. The menu is littlest high price. Overall good place to visit
D. W.
Delicious food, the staff are very polite and highly professional. Best lunch out I've had in a while.
H. v. d. M.
I had a Biryani, if I'm spelling it right! The meat platter was a lot of meat, no sides: so pay attention when they suggest you some veggies!
M. D.
We are regulars at this Indian restaurant. Food and service are excellent. The menu Offers something different from your standard Indian.
S. P.
Great place for a business lunch. Friendly staff. Perfect location in Borough. Service quick and efficient. Great wine list
E. S.
Consistently good food over the last ~7 years.
J. M.
Good Indian restaurant on the edge of borough market. Polite Staff, wide range of choice and tasty.
D. R.
I visited them twice, two years ago and last week. Both times, it was a wonderful evening.
Good food, friendly staff & atmosphere.
C. T.
I am very glad that the services is well handle by a great management. The food was very delicious and it was worth the try. For sure, I will go back in here with friends.
M. L.
Brilliant food and service
H. A.
a rather strange little place, with tables crowded together & windows facing out onto an industrial street -- dirty red brick, anyone? but the prices aren't bad and afterwards, you can head over to the pubs near the borough market!
N. J.
Great Indian food, at great prices! staff are also very accommodating and welcoming!
D. Y.
Perfect cuisine and service. Excellent food and well trained staff. Highly recommended. Go there. It is the best in the neighberhood.
A. B.
Good food. Great service that helps people new to Indian Food to select the right dishes. Thanks a lot!
j. r.
Few months ago on friday i went in with my boyfriend to eat in mango tree, indian resturent the food was good service the guys gave was the best ever,, specially the short guy who spoke good english and was soo help full,, but at the end, the boss came in and started to shout out very loud at the staff in a different langaue and also using english swearing words, shouting out loud f... this f... that and the staff was so good and looking at us not saying anything the boss who ever he is needs to learn how to talk to his staff because i could not seat there and listen to another word from that guy.. i felt soo bad and sorry for the staff because they work soo hard and he the boss is just out off order... i will never go there again,,
B. V.
Fairly reasonable prices for the area. Friendly and efficient service. Cosy. Very pleasant food, above average. The paneer main is particularly good.
V. F.
The food is good, but our waiter was quite rude all the time and he hurried us out of the place, presumably to accommodate other customers.
S. M.
Amazing taste .. being an Indian dining here would be really great .. loved the service .. and food quality is 😍😍😍
G. T.
A great place for a decent lunch at a reasonable price. It's small, and little cramped, but it's rarely busy and always good.
S. Y.
Good Indian food and helpful staff. There was just two toilets though - one each for men and women which were quite cramped-up.
G. S.
Nice and cosy place. Tends to get crowded in evenings. The food quality and quantity were good. The service was efficient.
M. A.
A nice place to have Indian food with some good choices of drinks. The staff is courteous and got a cozy sitting.
L. R.
Quite probably the best Lamb shank I have ever had and one of the best curries I have ever tasted. Thank you for a great experience.
K. J. M.
This is definitely worth to visit place! The food was great! I know that there are a lot of places more excellent than this one but hey try it!
J. R.
Wonderful service and excellent tasty food. What more could you want??
a. r.
Very popular curry house, food was excellent and considering how busy it was, the service was fine.
T. M. S.
Absolutely amazing food w a fresh taste. These guys deserve every brilliant review they get.
M. R.
This is our local curry house and they always look after us well. They do home delivery too and often throw in a free popadum or two but can be a bit hit or miss. Sometimes their curries can be quite oily.
E. L. (. D.
Little pricey, but nice indian restaurant near by famous market in London.
A. P.
Food was really good at prices slightly above average. Service was a bit slow. 4 stars.
P. C.
Probably the best Indian in Borough. I love it and go there all the time. Visitors from overseas who I take here always love it.
M. C.
Really good Indian food on offer. The wine on offer compliments the food too and can be quaffed on its own just as well
S. B.
Great food. Great service. Quick enough to grab a bite during a 1 hour lunch break.
D. F.
No t the most extensive menu (or seating area 😁)but what they have had a lovely mix of flavours and top notch presentation and quality
