Reviews of Masala Chai Nashta
N. M.
First time here and excellent value for money and breakfast was good worth visiting again. Great customer service and helpful staff. Highly Recommended. Thanks for making us feel welcome. Managed to accommodate 20 people by just walking in without booking.

I think the concept is good they offer a decent menu, however the flavour of the food is not very exciting. Its quite simple and plain. My favourite thing was the paratha and also the chai was nice. I bought a few items but nothing really wowed me. customer service is very good there nice and polite.I just wish the flavours were more enhanced. I bought panipuri, bhel Puri, this tomoato potatoe dish, omelette and keema.

When you want breakfast that tastes a little different or are bored of chicken and chips for lunch, then try this place out. They have some great tasting items on their menu. Finishing off with a spicy tea that beats the taste of PG any day. Price is reasonable and staff are friendly. Only negative parking can be difficult to find during the day.

We had a very pleasant experience here. It took quite long for the food to be prepared but it was worth the wait. The restaurant is ideal for social gatherings and a lovely place to sit and chat with family and friends.

Absolutely love the food here. We had the halwa poori which tastes amazing! We also had the desi nasta option with chicken keema and dal. Its yummm. The rotis are really good too and we also really like the masala chips here. The chai is also good. The food is halal. Highly recommend it!
T. Y.
Nice looking place, tea is decent and food is fresh but tastes boring and service is slow. Took ages to bring the food, cutlery and then the tea.
M. N.
This is our new favourite place for desi breakfast ☺️ the food was delicious and so so fresh!
H. A.
Food was good.. The service was a little slow. Too many people behind the counter.
Guys food is prepared well, breakfast was good. A little improvement on service.
Welcoming customers.. New customers explain how things work.. Add the covid bit in.
Also please bare in mind.. If customer comes 1st take his order before taking new orders. Simple stuff and you will go far.
Other then that.. Foods good, clean place.. Good for families.

The place for Indian Style Desi Tea or as we call it Chai. Lots of food options too. From breakfast all the way to dinner.
Plenty of seating space inside. You have to try the desi breakfast (photos below). This consists of eggs, beans, mince meat, spicy potatoes, chapatis and tea.
The masala chips are lovely, especially with a tradition indian tea. That chilli heat from the chips, gives a nice sensation with the milky hot tea.
Located on Upton Lane, Forest Gate. You can order on Justeat also. They sell curry in a box now too.

Been here quite a few times, and ordered for delivery also.
As always eat in option is better for dining experience, but I have to admit when I've ordered for delivery it's always been wrapped with care and food is warm.
I've always got various breakfast options, my favourite obvs is the desi one with masala beans.

EDIT:
So I insinuated on something that I don’t have proof on so I agree with the restaurants response, without proof it’s slander so I will put my hands up here and therefore removed that portion from my review, the remaining original review and rating stands.
——
Came here on a lazy Sunday afternoon for brunch with the Mrs.
The place is Cash Only which is an annoyance, I rarely return to cash only places unless the food is exceptional, they were good, so it’s a maybe.
The place was full of families, couples with young families, servers were polite, and they have baby high chairs.
Food was good, I enjoyed my desi Nashta, but they only had omelette and no scrambled eggs, which is weird considering it’s just a different way of cooking the same ingredients.
The puri’s were nice, and so was the keema. The masala chips is always a favourite of mine but these seem a little too tangy to finish the portion.
The omelette was dry, and nothing special, the masala hot chocolate was really nice, and they let us upgrade to it by paying an extra pound. Masala coffee, was a little too bitter, but my wife said it was better last time she came.
Chana was good, but maybe I’ll try the beans next time. All in all a good place for breakfast, prices are reasonable.
The omelette situation let them down again, but will give them a try again and hope I can increase the review from 3/5 to 4/5 at the very least.

Food was very tasty. The roti was lovely. Soft and fluffy. The puri and paratta was great too. I had the lamb keema, this was very tasty. The daal was velvety and rich. Can taste the butter through the flavours. The potato masala was not so keen, very strong on the tomato. Same with the chana. Omelette was nice.
The portion was surprisingly filling. Was stuffed after our brunch. I had both the masala chai and coffee. Both were spot on. Not too sweet, not too strong on the spices.
We went on Sunday midday and the restaurant was consistently busy. No table service, order at the counter. During weekends no scrambled eggs.
Parking in the area is very limited. Cash only.

Went to this place on a morning, heard a lot of chatter from people, had to try it out. The place was nice and clean. Few tables of customers space was abundant. ordered a full English and at £8.00 expected a fair amount of food. The portion was not in any way satisfactory to my expectations. Didn't expect a feast, but a sizeable plate of food.
I really didn't like the new premium on halal breakfast, especially when it doesn't meet up to standards. There's a place in Ilford, my local. I wont name them here, but those that dine around will know when i say it begins with 'M'..
Anyway, my reasons... portion too small, price too high, service with the thinnest metal cutlery, coffee in a paper cup when eating in.... I could go on. Service was OK, friendly staff, but food a let down.
F. A.
A hidden little gem on Upton Lane and an ideal brunch spot. The thali breakfast was massively on point. I had the omelette, masala channa, chicken keema with pooris, and masala chai. The portions are extremely generous, good service and all backed up by awesome food. My Mrs had the same but her 2 sides were masala potatoes and beans (still amazing). For under £20 we both ate to our fill. Highly recommend this joint and will be visiting again!
The only issue is parking, it is all permit holders only so took us a while to find a spot, but well worth the drive. 5 stars!

I have always gone past this place and have always said to myself I will pop by one day.
Today we planned on going into Pie Republic a few doors down for breakfast but unfortunately they didn't open till 2pm so this meant we get to try Chai Nashta!
So we decided to go into Chai Nashta. The place was packed, we got a table for two and sat down. They served both traditional South Asian breakfast and your traditional English breakfast. My wife wasn't sure about having something spicy too early in the morning so she opted for an English Breakfast whilst I decided to go for a full Asian breakfast (spicy).
My traditional Asian breakfast cost £10 whilst my wife's breakfast was almost half as much. I was expecting a slightly large platter for my breakfast but instead it was a medium sized platter, the portion was small for the price paid.
I had Desi Nashta:
Masala Omelette
Chana (chick peas)
Keema Chicken (mince chicken)
2 Rotis
1 Masala Chai
Wife had Chota Agrez (mini English):
1 Fried egg
1 Rasher
1 Sausage
1 Baked Beans
1 Hash Brown
1 Masala Chai
The wife liked her breakfast and so did I. In fact after trying mine she regretted not getting what i had ordered. The Chicken Keema was both our favourite.
We wasn't sure about the Masala Chai, it was Masalaie but sweet. That's one thing we didn't like as we've never had it before.
This review was going to be 3 stars. But when I asked for tap water the person behind the counter bought me and my wife two mini bottles of water on the house. This was appreciated by both of us and for that reason we've decided 4 stars is deserved!
Overall we enjoyed our food, the price was a bit too high for the portions received. I thought the Deshi Nashta could have been a few quids cheaper and maybe 3 rotis instead of 2. Otherwise very good customer service and we look forward to visiting someday for lunch or dinner.
A. M.
Chai Nashta was a very interesting restaurant. They offer the traditional full English but the reason to go is the Asian breakfast aka Deshi Nashta. My wife and I both got this. It costs about £9.50 which comes with:
Eggs (I got an omelette),
Keema/mince (I got chicken),
Extra sides (I got the masala beans which was the best thing here),
And a choice of roti, Puri or paratha (I got the Puri),
It comes with Masala Chai or Masala Coffee. I got both to try. The Masala Chai was good, wanted more flavour though. The Masala Coffee just tasted like milky coffee full of sugar Tbh.
The customer service was good. It's what you'd expect really. The 5 stars is for different and delicious. I'll definitely recommend this place and visit again (I wanna try the Halwa Puri next)
R. A.
If your looking for some amazing indian street food and breakfast then this is the perfect place. They have a range items to choose from. On my visit i thought i will try the Traditional Deshi Nashtha, which has a choice of different items including masala egg, friend masala potatoe, lamb keema, paratha and puri. All the items are very tasty. However i would pick out the Masala Chips which are amazing! The service was excellent and place is very clean.
S. A.
Perfect place if you’re craving something a bit different or some traditional desi delicacies. I picked the desi nashta. What I loved about the menu is that you have a choice of different options to pick from. Overall, I would highly recommend the masala fries, the best I’ve had! The fried potato is very tasty along with the masala beans. I wasn’t expecting the paratha to be that big, it was very filling. The interior is very nice and clean, service was great. Definitely making another trip when I visit London again soon.
A. K.
Good food
Knocked off 1 star as both waitress are extremely rude, as if they do not want to work. No smile and serve drinks half way thru the meal.
The young chap who was working before is polite. It's a shame they have to employ such rude waitresses.
A. Q.
Chicken keema nastha with chana masala was nice and filling and recommended with the portion of puris (x5 small puris). The omelette was a bit disappointing and seems it was pre-cooked and heated rather than made fresh. Masala coffee had the nice spicy kick. Price increase probably just takes it outside the VfM range but worth visiting for nice filling Asian style weekend brekkie.
A. R.
Great place for a desi breakfast. Food was surprisingly filling. Nice dessert selection including a Gulab Jaman cake. Can be busy ( visited over lunch period on a Sunday) cash only but in line with everywhere else in is locale.
A. G.
Had halwa puri portion too small chai was not very good
Nice friendly staff
S.
First time visiting this place.
Ordered the desi breakfast which came with an omelette, chicken minced meat (keema) and 2 roti with masala tea.
The service was prompt and the staff were very courteous and professional.
Looking forward to having many future breakfasts at this place.

My second time coming here. Their food is amazing, love the pori they make..so soft and tasty. The tea is delicious if you love masala Chai!
It's a lovely place to come and have nasta with your friend's or family. They have high chairs for the little ones too.
What they could work on is..better customer service; tissue/napkins when serving the food, saucers with their tea cups, water/tap water glasses without asking, (Asian food..always need a sip of water) and also attentive staff with smiles!!
CONTACTLESS CARD PAYMENT SYSTEM PLS!!
PLEASE ADD TO YOUR MENU;
Asian biscuits with your famous masala tea! Just an idea BUT it would surely be a big hit to introduce a small variety. I really missed having a piece of toast biscuit with my tea Lol!
Would I come again? Yes defiantly 👌
N. D.
A good stop for breakfast, brunch or snacks. Nice tasty food just like home. Variety of different options on the menu. Masala coffee was delish. Took me back to India. Definitely recommended.

I come here 2 /3 times a month. Love this place. 3/4 min driving. Wishing the best for rhem.

Was looking for some desi tea around London and heard about this place. It was packed when we arrived so had to wait for some 5-10 minutes for a table. Service was a bit slow aside from the young brother at the till. Food was excellent, except for the pizza. Chai wasn't too bad, but can't better chaiwala.
J. A.
Food was excellent bought to our table pipping hot and tasted excellent. The only negative was I didn't want the egg in the vegetarian nashta but asked for an extra side instead. I was told no you would have to pay for the extra side, and they only accept cash. The food though like I said was great.
R. M.
Really tasty we ordered the desi breakfast first thing on the menu, came hot and with lots of flavour. Could have had a bit more spice but masala beans and lamb keema along with roti hit the spot. Friendly service and nice for a local bite. Their masala chai is the best in the area. Only downside was the wait being 20 minutes for the food but the quality makes up for it! Otherwise 5 stars
N. C.
Made to order polite and friendly staff good food and prices
A. H.
Absolutely delicious food, service was great! Nice little warm quiet and calm place to enjoy a desi breakfast! The curry in a box was amazing!!!
s. i.
Authentic Indian Breakfast and Street food! must try the Keema with paratha, Ginger tea, somasa, and aloo paratha.
M.
The Indian breakfast is here top notch couldn't find a fault, just like mum makes it, will definitely be returning to this gem of a place.
Z. A.
Great service and communication
Best Desi Breakfast in East london.
They were very very busy yet 10/10 service
S. M.
I have had breakfast here so i can definitely tell you that its a nice place for breakfast. Lovely breakfast at a reasonable price. Their taste and service keeps them busy so you better be quick to be there. I am going soon again...
M. L.
Good little place. So good I went twice. The food is really tasty and the masala tea was very good it hit the spot. Would defo recommend.
S.
Let's start with the positives. The food is excellent! We had the traditional nashta breakfast which has a few different variations but we went for the lamb keema, masala beans, 5 pouris and a masala tea. Keema was packed with flavour and the masala beans were lovely.
The restaurant itself is your average, run-of-the-mill fare. It is fairly large & light and airy but very bland and like one of the other reviewers said it's not very warm. The service was mixed. We had a feeling that we wouldn't get served quickly so we ran to the front counter and ordered straight away and the food did arrive very quickly. The young chap on the front wasn't very attentive but the lady who served our food (who I'm sure was also the chef/cook) served us with a smile.
All in all very good. I just think the young boy should acknowledge his customers and at least greet them. Maybe he was really busy??? But not the end of the world. Just a bit of constructive criticism. I have told all my family and friends and they all will be going very soon!
T. A.
The food is fantastic but service can be slow at times (depending upon the number of customers) . Photo is of chana masala with 5 portions of puri. This was take away but I would recommend eating at the restaurant for the really great ambience.
J. S.
Good food, very traditional and tasty. Like being in a Indian Dhaba for breakfast
S. 0.
Ordered the halwa, puri and chana breakfast with Masala Chai. Service was good where we were seated immediately despite the restaurant being very busy. Overall food was to a good standard with good portion sizes. The masala tea was delicious.
Its a shame the hygiene rating is very low. The tables were sticky and looking around the restaurant it could do with a deep clean.
D. L.
Without a doubt the best, friendliest and most welcoming restaurant I've been to. Amal, Nim and the team make you feel like you are guests in their own home. Superb!
S. A.
Good home style food. Chicken keema is a must.
Z. N.
Friendly people. The puris are soo nice and fresh. All the bread like items taste completely fresh, although the place needs updating, hidden great food.
J. H.
Nice food, decent portion size, place is clean, worth checking out if in the area.
Z. S.
Very nice and cosy, family run, fully HMC approved halal cafe serving delicious Desi and English food and does a great breakfast and masala chai. Definitely worth checking out. Visited it many times and never been disappointed.
A. P.
For some traditional Indian dishes from back home.... This place hits the spot. My mouth is watering thinking about it. Can't wait to head back for another round of freshly prepared puri.
A. U.
Lovey desi breakfast but the only thing i didn't like is on the menu it says you can get scramble eggs which u cannot but they only give omlettes.
E. t. w.
very nice, food was fantastic. very clean and tidy. very good staff. i think is better than 'chaiwalla, must visit
S. S.
Tried their food first time, it was nice and the staffs are very nice and polite.
O. I.
Very good full English and small Desi breakfast
s. h.
Food is good but the wait is too long
A.
Good quality food. Price a bit expensive but worth of money. No card payment option.
M. N.
Excellent service and food... it is a bit pricey but was worth it!
Only problem is that they only take cash and not card...
I. R.
Amazing breakfast, especially the chai. Masala chips are v good too
O. M.
This place is a must if you visit london. The desi breakfast is as authentic as it can get. Have recommended this to friends and family. A must see place.
m. r.
Restaurant is on Upton Lane so parking can be a problem. Limited options but that's what makes it so appealing. Breakfast was tasty and different with an Asian twist
K. H.
I’m not local so it was my first time having breakfast here. I was very happy with the food I ordered. It did take a long time to arrive. The place however itself was crowded, the tables were so close together It was quite uncomfortable to have a conversation whilst knowing everyone near you could hear you even when you spoke at an average to normal tone. The food however was exceptional. I was very happy with my plate and my puris. The puris and the masala chai itself has to be the best. The omelette wasn’t that special in my opinion. Other than that I had a great breakfast experience.
S. A.
Was a nice brunch with few friends. Food was good, service little slow but friendly.
T. R.
Best Asian breakfast. The spices and the fresh food make a unique combination. I recommend the Masala beans and Chicken Keema.
A. A.
Had the full breakfast with Lamb Keema, Chick Peas and Paratha and the food was good abit expensive I paid £17 for it
J. A.
Good, traditional Asian breakfast cafe at reasonable prices.

Chai Nashta was pretty easy to find. The restaurant is on the main road and parking on a weekend was not a challenge.
The place itself looks very warm and welcoming, well decorated and up to date. The staff were great and very friendly.
The food here is exactly what you want for an Asian breakfast. Me and my wife were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and impressed by the Asian plates they were served on.
My personal favourite was the masala coffee. I have visited a few times when passing to pick up a coffee on the go.
The prices were reasonably cheap for what we had. Compared to your high street coffee-shop/cafe, it's a steal.
I would love for you guys to open another Chai Nashta in Tower Hamlets so we can visit more often.
J. D.
Compared to chai walla and their bland food and ready made parathas this place is excellent and the food is worth the price I prefer very spicy food but this was great it had flavour compared to chai walla the potions are very big me and my mum decided to be greedy and asked for two extra products but honestly we couldn’t finish it we had to end up packing most of it so that my siblings could have a try and for once this was a café where your food comes hot and your tea is piping hot at the same time as your food service is okay staff aren’t really friendly or anything but hey what can you do we went there for the food lol
A.
Nice Little place ......its kind of a tiffin and Breakfast place....not heavy meals but small satisfying snakcs ...portion bit small .....bit pricy too though it's nice ....spicy satisfying of my pallet ....Place to revisit...

Food taste: Excellent
Wait time: Ok
Value for money: Not bad (if you prefer food quality and taste over couple £’s which can be reduced to make this an excellent outcome)
Food quantity: Could be improved slightly
Restaurant cleanliness: Good
Usually I hate restaurants that do not offer card payment and accept cash only specially if a nearby cash point charges a pound for every transaction. However the food was amazing, slightly overpriced as I would like eat here atleast twice a month but overall food quality and service was great.
I ordered Chicken Qeema breakfast for £9.95 - A sort of desi selection which included a small portion of chicken Qeema (mince), a side order of Bataki Aloo (sort of Bombay aloo (potatoes) but much tastier) and an omelette with a masala tea (you can also order masala beans and scrambled egg as alternative).
Also added was 1 plain paratha £1.75, 1 Aloo paratha (potato layered flat bread) - £2.75 and an extra masala tea for £1.95 making a total of £16.50 (slightly overpriced but worth for that taste)
K. Y.
What can one say, great culinary experience. Service was timely, the cleanliness was on point and the food was wonderful. Had a full english breakfast with the Masalah Coffee, they do a masalah tea too, what a twist that it is. No complaints, portion was good and tasted great.
Can see myself going out of my way to have breakfast or brunch here.
Well worth a visit for a breakfast with a twist, lots of desi options available. For those who don’t speak other languages, desi can be substituted with exotic.
Best visited to formulate ones own opinion.
D. M.
Taste-wise, it is excellent! I would recommend this eatery for breakfast, not many other place do it. I haven't tried their lunch though. Looking forward to it. The food they serve is succulent, rich in aromatic spices and their chai and masal coffee is out of this world! The ambience is a nice one if you need to hang out with friends and family. Be prepared for a wait though, as they cook from scratch. 😊
Y. J.
I was wowed the second I walked in, a unique concept that really stands out, I couldn’t help but look all around the shop due to its amazing standards and design. I was served by Talha and he was not just professional in his customer service but immensely passionate and confident in his product. I ordered takeaway, I live nowhere near the place, got home and was immesnsely amazed with the taste of a real authentic breakfast, my partner was just as impressed. I cannot simply wait to come back and eat in next time. Excellent place with a real unforgettable taste.
Z. K.
Having tired of the typical English breakfasts, me and the wife were pleased to find out about Chai Nashta. It's food is warming and always hits the spot.
Parking on weekends is easy and the place is decorated well.
I haven't got tired of the breakfast yet to try anything else but know this is a regular haunt for us now. Even as I type This, I've been able to bring my mum out to eat which is great because she's 60 and not into fry ups. Great idea by the guys and I wish them well.
A. p.
Went for breakfast like it, but Anda Paratha wasn't that good
S. S.
Really nice place! Food delicious and very welcoming staff. Very good value for money!
D. T.
The massala chai and breakfast wars have commenced since the introduction of the very popular Chaiwala on Green St. But for me I prefer this place. The portions are better. The food tastes better and the customer is better overall. A very enjoyable and filling breakfast indeed. Unfortunately forgot to take any photos lol. I went to chai nashtha over the weekend for Breakfast. I had poori, with scrambled eggs, baked beans and chick peas. The food was tasty and the chai was really nice.I also had the masala chips which tasted really good. Highly recommend this place for a good old breakfast.
R. M.
Poor service and very slow. The food was great and the desi breakfast was lovely but the muscle man breakfast is a little dry and they messed up my order by giving me friend eggs and white toast which was meant to be boiled eggs and wholemeal toast. If you do go here remember it is busy and they are slow with the service, but they food is great. The tea is traditional and amazing.
F. S.
Tasty breakfast. Would definitely recommend you give this place a try.
M. K.
Takes a minute but the food tastes great! Good price too
S. K.
Halal Breakfast place on Green Street London. They are normally very crowded during breakfast hours and hence waiting time to get seats is also high. They serve both Desi and Continental breakfast. Price is comparatively little high as they serve Halal Food. Their Masala Tea is amazing. They accept both credit card and cash. However finding a parking near the restaurant is a little hassel. Overall good place for Indian style breakfast.
S. E.
Had lovely food, would say very tasty and something a bit different. The layout of the place is quite nice as well not to cramped as I find some restaurants are. The service was great and I will bringing a few of my friends to taste there tasty dishes soon 😆👍
F. K.
Chai Nashta were really good, with great ambiance. My family and I enjoyed our Nashta. The place is clean and tidy. I would have preferred the traditional pooris over the wholemeal poori they serve currently. Also would appreciate if sugar is not mixed in the teapot by default.
T. G.
Decor and atmosphere nice and cosy.
Service - friendly, helpful, on point service
Food- Desi breakfast delicious, flavoursome..
loved it. Will definitely make it my regular.
Thank you guys and hats off to the chef👍🏽👍🏽
Well done and keep it up
A. A.
The pricing could be fairer. It's not fair charging people for a small portion of chickpeas , halwa and Puri £9. The tea was ok but they should ask about how much sugar one wants. Customer service could be better but the food was fine.
J.
It's alright if you like some Desi stuff. Went for Sehri/Suhoor and it was pretty busy. They took orders as fast as they could, remained polite in a busy period, so that was nice.
Quite a few options for food, ranging from desi to an English breakfast. Tried the desi stuff, which was not bad. The beans were nice, egg a big too masala for my liking, keema was good. Portion was also decent for £9, even though it may seem small at first it is a good amount of food.
General seating and stuff is a bit more canteen like/free for all, but may be due to it being busy so it may otherwise be alright.
N. B.
Lovely place, for quick desi brekfast
M. S.
My wife visited this place with her works friends and had raved about the food so I took a chance.
I'm delighted to report that the food was amazing and the tea transported me back to my roots in Lahore.
The best breakfast I've had in a very long time and I will be a regular customer from now on ...
Highly recommended get your masala chai Nashta here ....you won't regret it ......
I. M.
Delicious chai. We come here every week. They only accept cash though, which can be quite inconvenient. Haven't tried food but it looks great.
S. M.
Whats a brilliant find this place was. Shame it's a bit far out for me but defo worth making the trip down for. The desi breakfast was tasty and portion sizes were just right for me. Came here with the family and while my mums isn't a big fan of eating out she thoroughly enjoyed the food so that's saying something!
A. H.
Really good, generous sized desi breakfast and the service was great. Loved the potatoes and lamb keema, good hit of spice and flavor. Really good quality sausages and rashers too! Masala chai was gorgeous. Perfect lazy sunday Brunch. Going to be a regular now!
S. M.
Food was lovely, however it did take a while for us to be served and the portions was just a tad too small.
S. A.
A great concept for Indian street food, although there are similar ones out there. Masala Chai nashta offers a nice variety in its Desi breakfast allowing to change up different items such as the paratha and a choice of lamb or chicken keema. The breakfast is filling and comes at about £8. They also have an English breakfast along a mish mash of all sorts of things including milkshakes. The food was good and its halal (HMC). However, the service wasn't great, it didn't seem that they paid much attention to the customers being there and I saw some people leave after not being served. Good service is important and that's something they'd want to improve on. Parking isn't great but public transport links are available. Cash only, but plenty of cash points close by.

Went during the weekday mid morning. It was OK. Food lacked a bit of salt and spiciness for my liking. Saying that the food was and tasted fresh. Price was reasonable. The parata and chapati were awesome. As I said, not bad, could be better.
R. C.
Absolutely love the parathas here not the usual ready made parathas. My favourite place to have breakfast
U.
If you looking for a true desi breakfast then this is the place. It will take you back to India or Pakistan in 1 mouthful of food. Village early mornings with family eating paratha and tea over the cooking stove. I cannot recommend highly this place to everyone who loves the true authentic desi taste. Also great for desi street food lovers. Finally the service was great by a group of young individuals, very respectful and polite, true desi style. Well done.
R. M.
Service is poor. Not the first time I have felt this way. Keep having to ask for the basics i.e. menu, tissue, sugar, cutlery etc. I like what they offer in terms of the desi food and tea but service is not great and has not improved. Tables should be ready or at least clear once a customer is finished. Also part of my order was forgotten. Poor service.
f. a.
Went here for the new milk cake that these guys have done alongside their new menu partnering with pops bbq. Have to say the cake was TOOOOO GOOOOOD!!! But the reason im giving 4 stars is because of the milk. Both times i went for the milk cake and both times the milk was very less. Abit more milk pleaseeee!!! Apart from that everything was good! Must Try!!!!
N. N.
Ma shaa Allah amazing food. I had the lamb burger and Masala chips..... great flavours and perfectly cooked. The chilli sauce is fresh and complimented the burger very well. Fast service in a friendly respectful atmosphere.
Defo recommend anyone who likes fresh, home cooked style food to try it out.
J. M.
Great quality food, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. It did take long to receive our meal, 30 mins + wait, but it was worth it in the end, definitely hand made and fresh. I had the indian breakfast, with masala tea, my brother had the full english with masala coffee. No complaints!
M. H.
Had a wonderful দেশী নাস্তা! রুটি পরোটা ডিম মাসালা চা! Halwa Puri! Yum! Delicious fabulous breakfast! Quality of the breakfast was really good. Price was bit on the higher end - but can be off-set with the high quality delicious breakfast!
Service was very slow😶 and it needs to be improved. Hyeigen also needed to be improved!
Overall good experience and enjoyed the breakfast!
M. M.
Well cooked, tasty and clean facilities
S. B.
Excellent looking place inside decor was pleasant. Staff were polite and service was good.
Slightly dissapointed with the food there was five of us and when the food was plated it was slightly cold and that ruined the experience abit. Overall it was a good breakfast and will be visiting again. Slight room for improvement with the mentioned above and it would be a 5 star from us.
s. A.
Really tasty. Good value for the variety. The masala coffee is delicious. I always go for the traditional nashta with potato and mince with paratha. Place seems clean, queue starts forming after 11.30
B. I.
Fantastic food, very good sized meals. Must try everything on the menu and is HMC certified which is just a bonus if you're looking for meat options. Apart from that, helpful and friendly staff even though they were staff constrained
H. F. P.
Great spot to attend with family or friends.. Food always tastes amazing! Their masala chips and chicken wrap is top notch 👌 overall one of my favourite places to stop by for a snack.. keep it up guys 👍
F. P.
I am so happy to have been introduced to Chai Nashta! This deffinitely is going to be somewhere I go on a regular basis. The food was really lovely, especially the Grilled Chicken Wrap. The Mumbai Sandwhich and the Lamb Keema were my favourite too & the Nutella and Strawberries Waffle as well as the Coffee Milkshake were my favourite from the dessert menu👌.
I would certainly recommend this to anyone and everyone who genuinely enjoys delicious food. Hope to visit again soon. Thank you!
A. Q.
I had the desi chota nashta, masala omelette, paratha and masala coffee. It was all really tasty, loved the coffee.
My husband went for full English, again everything was great, sunny side up egg, all cooked well. Food takes a little while to come out, but worth it when it does.
m. m.
I was a bit disappointed with the food, ordered a English breakfast. Sausages were burnt, beans was dry, but on the other hand their halwa poori was really good and service was good too.
F. A. (.
The staff were super friendly and were understanding as I had a baby.
The food was brilliant and authentic, particularly the tea! Will visit again soon for sure! I certainly recommend this place to anyone.
S. U. A.
Fantastic and delicious lunch treat with friends.
starter was delicious grill chicken.
Main dish simple chana masala, chicken curry, chapati.
Service was excellent and prompt
N. B.
Excellent food I had the nasta spicy beans and keema and roti. Good homely food. Only thing is slow service you have to wait quite a while. But if you don't mind waiting which we don't sometimes then give it a go.
M. S.
The food is very good but the service is very very slow. The staffs are struggling. (Today is my second visit and its the same as before)
Only one person is serving 12 Tables and the till!!!
If your are in a hurry I wouldnt recommend you to go there as it would spoil ur whole plan!!!
A. Z.
A friend of mine took me to this place. It wasn't what I thought it would be. It's more like a local place to visit but our "Nashta" was lovely hot and flavorful. If I'm in the are again, will be sure to pop in. Great value too.
M. M.
Great options for Indian style breakfast. There are also options for full English. All at reasonable prices. English tea is not on the menu, but you can request it.
S. M.
Nice breakfast. Shame not enough parking in the area.
A. F.
My first experience at chai nashta was exceptional. I was offered a variety with explanation as to what each food product was. Not only did they customise my order to my needs such as non masala tea and tea that was without sugar for diabetic person. I would give this place a five star for my first experience.
R. Y.
I love this place for their all day breakfast menus. Try their desi breakfast menu both chicken and lamb taste good. Also, try their poori and masala chips.
M. R.
Food and service was bit of both.
Will expound later.
y. k.
Lovely food good service, could do with some nice tables and chairs
M. S.
Great food. Always fresh. Best chai. Even better than Chaiwala. Rating 4 as not the restaurant is usually half empty. For some it may be good as parking easily available.
A. c.
From the get go I've enjoyed delicious food from here, their food is very flavoursome. The meat/chicken is succulent even the vegetarian options are delicious! I'll definitely go back time & time again!
A. K. (.
Excellent food with nice cozy environment. Local parking and great for groups or family. I'll give 5 stars only if thier customer services improve.
H. M.
They have nice portions with reasonable price as well as they have good service nice modern look seating area. Also have choice for meal as well as breakfast on same time which provide flexibility for people to choose.
s. i.
Good service and delicious variety of good. We went for breakfast and would highly recommend it. Something for the children and definitely for the very Asians who like their traditional breakfast
M. x.
Delicious food, great customer service, had the chicken wrapped in roti and masala chips tasted amazing, great breakfast would definitely recommend, decent prices.
M. Z.
I am picky with my hot drinks. This place makes the best tasting desi tea and coffee.im ordering a whole pot to myself next time I go ☺. Nice family owned place, friendly service, if I'm being super picky perhaps service could be a tad quicker.. Otherwise great 1st visit sure to go back for loads more desi tea n coffee with family and friends.
R.
The food was soo yummy, we went in at about 6pm and they dont make poori after 5 but they made it especially for us which I dont think anyone would do. The pooris were soo yummy and not oily at all and the tea was delicious xx
R. A.
Perfect place for desi food. I've been there three times with my family and friends. The food is so delicious, what I love the most is the food isnt over spiced or too oily.
P. L. P.
The food is great; try the masala coffee and the chana in the Desi breakfast. The service is also very friendly but not the fastest- so don't wait till your famished before you go. Do wish they also accepted card payments.
m. h.
Went in with my little one to have a Indian breakfast. Food was excellent. Customer service was excellent as well. Highly recommended
S. S.
Lovely food.
Great Parathas and have the potatoes rather than anything else that's veggy.
The Masala Coffee is awesome!
A. H.
Great offering, the chick peas were a little under cooked and the omlette was a little bland (Will probably request a spicier one when ordering next time) still a very good experience
S.
Oh! My God. Where should I start from? Should I first write about Halwa Poori or Chicken / Lamb Keema or about Tea.
Just Wow! Being desi has never been so tasty in London :)
Best Nashta (breakfast) ever
A must must try for everyone and specially for desis.
5 Star
H. L.
The food was really nice, I had the desi breakfast, quite a big portion but delicious. Comfortable, friendly atmosphere too.
m. m.
Traditional gujrati breakfast there puri's all fluffed up great with mango pulp
M. N.
A nice place for some tasty halaal indian/english breakfast/brunch. Customer service could be better and had to wait a while for my small order.
A. S.
I would say this is a 3.5 star cafe. It has nice menu although its a little limited but still well worth a visit. I'll be going back again to try out the breakfast menu!
L. N.
Opens late. Food is average. Good for a quick bite but not regular standards
L. G.
Very nice food and the facilities were decent as well
W. Q.
Delicious food. Just need to work on the interior design. Customer service was fab. Will visit again for sure.
J. S.
Food was nice, proper desi style, sitting area is quite squashed, unfortunately it’s cash only so better take cash with you other wise get ready to run across the road to cash point.
n. S.
Great place to eat morning breakfast ,very reasonable prices, and decent quality taste. Well worth a visit here.and fell like having freash home foods .
N. A.
Excellent food. First class service.. breakfast was amazing, omg their halva purée was fantastic. Deffo recommend this place.. oh u got to try the milkshakes 😋😋
U. S.
I think the prices are about 25% too high.
T. B.
The food was lovely n it's good value for money As u get around 5 food items for 9 pound 50. However they only accept cash
M. A. H.
😃

Highly recommended milk cake.

The main nastha was fantastic so hands down, just slightly let down by the Mumbai sandwich as it sounds like a authentic Indian flavoured sandwich but all it was was just a few veggies and and an extra piece of bread in between, I really hope they can work on the sandwich and probably add something more indianish to it, other than that really good
A. K.
Slow service due to lack of staff. Went for breakfast on mother's day and was extremely busy. Really liked the food
A. R.
The Desi Nashta is delicious served on a thali. It is cash only, so a bit of planning ahead is needed.
l. G.
A fantastic service...excellent taste food was delicious especially the Masala coffee and the masala hot chocolate was divine... would definitely be coming back and recommend it.
A. T.
I always have the masala tea, it's very smoothing and relaxing. And it goes well with their sides.
S. F.
had tea here once
was legit ok (I'm a coffee person so that says a lot for me)
5 stars alone just for the owners replys to other reviews
let's hope he keeps up the bantz
i.
We eat out quite often and don't really ever leave reviews but I HAD TO make time to leave a few notes for this place
Service 👏💯👍
The guys here acknowledge you AS SOON AS they're able to and make you feel very welcome
They're attentive and will adapt/alter to your needs where requested
Atmosphere basically feels like home in an uptown cafe
The busy-ness (I know what I wrote lol) all tables are occupied but the noise levels aren't as loud to reflect
Everyone just enjoying themselves on a calm note
The food was awesome
English breakfasts for the Mrs and kids..and I went full on Deshi Nashta 👌🏼💯
The masala coffee is different yo! A nice different that is just so nice and different 🙃
Next time it's going to be a Sweet visit 😊
