With refillable drink it came to 15 pound each. which is still an alright price for London. I found the food to be quite cold and not much choice for deserts or mains and the ice cream machine is broke but if you are hungry and on a tight budget I do recommend this place. The chicken wings were lovley!!

Food here was really really good, so tasty and excellent value for central London. That being said, the restaurant was not very clean or well organised - getting to and around the buffet was absolutely chaotic 😂 the ice cream machine was also broken and the soft drinks were disappointing. The staff weren't particularly friendly but to be honest they were working so hard who can blame them :') despite all that honestly the food was so good still 4 stars from me

Great value buffet - strongly recommend Vibrant atmosphere - cafe style feel to it (don't go expecting fine dining, but enjoy a local 'Camden' experience) Bench style seating Can be busy (shows it is popular) but this is part of the character. Only ever small queue for the food. Hard working, friendly staff- food topped up regularly Good quality food. Limited variety, but great for the price - includes chicken, pork, duck, tofu and vegetarian. Starter, soup and salad bars. Small desert area - fruit, sponge cake and serve yourself ice cream ("Mr whippy style). Unlimited soft drink refills option I have been several times and always enjoy it.

Good selection of Chinese food. Staff working very hard to clean up after everyone. Great value for money. Unlimited soft drinks for £3.50. Walked in on the off chance very hungry and had a very full belly on way out. Only reason I gave 4 stars and not five is my seat was on a corner and I got bashed on back by people walking passed me. Will ask for a different seat next time

What a great place to go to if you like Chinese food. There's a wide range of food put out. From chips to Chinese soups. The ice cream isn't bad either. Eat as much as you like, although two plates for me was enough.

They now have a new name that says "All You Can Eat in £ 8.80". However, there is hardly a change inside. Menu is same, providing a good variety of Chinese dishes. They charge you before you sit on your table. Service is almost non existent and you are at your own most of the time. If you ask to be served you might get a cold stare. Quality of cooking is fairly good. They have improved their interior too and now it gives quite a neat look. Not a bad place to have food in £ 8.8 per person.

Most expensive Chinese buffet I've been to It's cheaper in Chinatown. The selection wasn't bad but some of the items were tasteless. I only had one plate of food and a desert of melon and a thinly sliced chocolate Swiss roll. The drinks, although refillable, at £3.50 made me want to never come again.

I was a little afraid to come here because of the negative reviews, but I was verry happy I did come! For this price (£8,95) you can't ask for more! The food was delicious, everything was fresh and hot. I loved the samosa and chicken balls! A lot of choice and for only £3,50 you can get as much soda drinks as you want. They even had a small dessert stand with icecream and fresh fruit. Ofcourse not everything was perfect but than you have to pay way more. For this price everything was perfect for a 'all you can eat!'

I love this place! Buffet selection differs from weekdays and weekend. The prawns selection only comes in at the weekends. I've been here several times; a birthday, a girls night out and also a group meeting over dinner. The food is really tasty and is great value for money. I haven't really tried the desert section as I'm not really a desert person but the children all loved it. Both the fruits and ice creams.

Location is great, cashier asks to pay in advance which is acceptable, average place with average price and average food...I do not mean its bad, it is exactly what you can get for 10 pounds in London. Hygiene sticker on the door says 4/5 which is perhaps good if noone tries to hide it.. The only thing which I really dont like are notes on each table saying about rights they reserved to charge 5 quids per person for any food wastage. .. for me this is ridiculous... so average after all

Lovely place and fresh, tasty food. Well organized. You have to pay upfront, entering the restaurant where you are asked if you would like a drink as well. If yes, you get a glass which you can fill for yourself, and the food is self service as well. Great place for people who love to try different tastes at once as you can eat as much as you can.

But please beware as we were in the restaurant a customers phone was stolen by a beggar holding a sign who was able to come in which should’nt have been allowed by staff. Don’t leave your phone or wallet on the table when you go up to get your food!!

One of the best taste Chinese in the area. Not many dishes offered, but because of that food are tasty and fresh, no overstaying in the trail. Nice Chinese village style interior. Metal cutlery and real glasses. Soft drinks refill and Italian ice cream machine with no limits. Clean and tidy but usually very busy. Pay on entry. No servis on the floor.. but I don't think is what we looking for that kind of places.. If that was helpful please like :)

Lovely buffet style Chinese food. Just go in find a table order your drinks then go and get your food. Place is clean and tidy with staff cleaning the tables quickly. The food was marvellous will definitely be going again. Oh it is so good and the price is cheap enough for it to get really packed.

I’d actually rate this 3.5 but that’s not an option 😂 Great food for the price but the seasoning isn’t as strong as in a non-buffet place because they try to stretch the sauces (makes sense but worth noting!). Variety isn’t super but the options they have are great - definitely the usual most ordered dishes from the Chinese. Was nervous because of the reviews of racism here because I went with a black male friend but can say we never noticed any inappropriate behaviour or actions from the staff at all. Possible that it’s only certain staff or that the issue has been addressed? There was a good mix of cultures in when we were there and everyone seemed very happy.

We arrived early for lunch so we were quiet to fill the plates at the buffet. Choice enough to make multiple trips and returns without depriving or spoil. We enjoy everything at a reasonable price with a good quality of food for this kind of formula. We enjoyed the big mussels in sauce, the salt and pepper shrimp, the spicy chicken wings and the different dishes of duck and chicken. We used it generously at the ice machine too.

You pay £8.80 for a buffet and refill drink £3.5. I love the seafood selection but for some reason no beef options. They refurbished the place, corner seats in the back are very atmospheric. Overall it’s nice but definitely not very cheap.

Food was ok. no beef though not much customer service either. had to bring the dirty plates away ourselves; had to bring the empty cups for water refill; the waitresses were just standing and chating with each other. for 9 euros per person it was ok was told we could use the atm machine next to the cashier for cash. the atm looks shady. now that i see one of the reviewers said their card got hacked after using the atm. i'd not recommend anyone using it.

Not a bad place. I will rate it £. They have this buffet package called everything for £8.8 where you get to eat anything you can for that much. You will have to pay for drinks though separately. Plus you can only pay a minimum of £10 by card or else you have to pay cash. It's a great place for budget travellers or revelers.

Small restaurant, helpful staff. The amount and quality is OK. Excess oil is used in the making of foods and it shows too. There isn't much variety of dishes. The ice cream recipe seems to be consistently good. The biggest put off is the signs (alarmingly threatening) about charge/fine for waste of food. For a little eating outlet, nobody would like to pay extra penny...so the customers are sort of consistently surviving 'on the edge. The tables are cleared promptly. Overall, food customer service but less attention to the amount and quality. For a quick bite__I would still say No Harm!!And it is a buffet.

I am giving four starts based on the value for money this place has. You pay from £8.50 to £10, depending the day, for a massive buffet plus salad plus dessert plus soft serve ice cream. The food is very good, lots of choice and since it is so busy it is also fresh. I have eaten numerous times at Max Orient and I am always happy. I would like to point out that the quality is better than it used to be. Considering all of the above you are paying a very low price for big meal out with plenty of choice. Stuff need to be more friendly as sometimes they are close to scary.

I went here Bank Holiday Monday with my dad , £8.90 each reasonable price , also what is good is inside there is air conditioning what makes the place cooler as today was a hot day. So I was really curious to go try this buffet and give it a chance despite of all the bad reviews. These are the impressions me and my partner had after our dinner there: - the staff was really nice, the waitress took us to our table and even pulled the chair for me which was really sweet - they had warnings about the food wastage everywhere, how if you have food left on your plate by the end of your dinner they would charge you £5. There's a note on the table, on the glass fountain in the middle of the seating area, on the buffet as well, you just cannot miss it and they do really warn you. - why would you wanna waste anyway? The food was superb. We tried a little bit of everything at first and the things we enjoyed the most, we tried a second time but put more of it. The Hong Kong sweet and sour chicken was so great! And the rice... For me the seafood rice was out of this world. You can seriously find anything you need from a Chinese place and yes, they DO have the duck. And.. No, neither of us had a bad stomach after almost trying a little bit of everything. The desserts were nothing special but they had ice cream so that kinda saved them haha ;) All in all, the whole experience cost us both about £15. In conclusion I'd say that, the food was delightful, the staff were very attentive and nice and we will most certainly go back!

I have to confess that I read lots of the Poor Reviews on this resturant and I do wonder if a lot of these people have actually been to this place! I discovered this resturant just over a year ago and have been about 15 times now. I have always enjoyed the food and have no problems with the staff. They do prefer cash to cards for payment - so what it's only £9.80 and for 1 hour & 30 mins of all you can eat I really don't see the problem! The food is always being replenished so nothing is really hanging around for that long. The food is always hot and tasty and there is a good range and selection including salad and puddings. The place is clean and all in all after over 15 visits I can not praise the place enough. I really don't know what people want for less than £10 each! I've been to resturants where I've paid over twice as much for much less and not enjoyed it as much!

I know good food when I taste it, and I believe that I have a good perception on such because my parents are amazing cooks (everyone says that, not just me lol). The food here is always on point, and the desserts are lovely and light. Wide range of classic oriental dishes cooked to perfection. You won't want to eat anywhere else ;)

Best all you can eat Chinese I've been to in London, there's no catch apart from making sure you're not too late for the seafood! Only downside is lack of coverings for the buffet dishes, that should be compulsory with Covid. Also wished they deshelled the prawns.

9.80£ is an okay price, what is not ok that they charhe extra 50p for card payment of you have to go out for cash. I think in a restaurant accepting cards should be a given. Besides that place is nice, planty of space to sit, mb we came during unpopular time but it's very spacious. The food is fine. If you want to pig out on chinese food do several rounds, dessert and pay a tenner you should understand the quality. But it's tasty, and I think makes a good comfort meal on a cold day. In general there was nothing food wise I didn't like. The ice cream is extrq nice, so leave the place for desert. Or don't, and have extra 10 pieces of spicy chicken wings instead.

Buffet so you can eat; seats or take away. Chinese cuisine and the freedom to make your own dish every time for an affordable price. Sometimes rice and noodles can be overcooked as they stay for long in hot trays. Clean and friendly, a nice spot in Camden for a cheap fast meal.

Great range on the buffet - 4 different food stations (rice, fried things, veg dishes and meat dishes) plus a desert and salad bar. The food is really good for £7.80 (£8.80 on the weekends and Friday), especially the king prawn dish and the prawn toasts. The deserts are a bit odd though - mostly industrial tasting jellies. However they have a chocolate fountain and the fresh fruit including lychees.

Just came from a Buffet Lunch £7.80- The sweet and sour sauce tbh all their sauces are so run down - the spicy chicken was pink on the inside. I went in and got prodded and in broken English asked to pay the bill before sitting/eating. And to top it off all the food was cold! Especially the starters that were located near the door. 1st and last time I ever go there - I prefer to goto China Town at least you know what you are getting. Must rush going to the toilet to be sick. I will be calling Camden Council for a food inspection to be done.
