Reviews of Mazi
J. K.
Excellent restaurant in all aspects! The service was incredibly kind. My family and I had a set menu of incredibly delicious, beautifully displayed food. The dishes were innovative and modern. The ambiance was cosy and inviting. We had a lovely time!

If you’re looking for a classic Greek restaurant, Mazi is not the place for you.
If you wanna have an amazing culinary experience with revisited Greek recipes… well, this is THE PLACE!
The food is simply delicious 😋
You’ll fall in love with it, I guarantee 😬
S.
The food was really good! .The aubergine dip and tempura feta were absolutely amazing.
The only weird part about the visit was that the moment you order anything they put a bread basket for you to share ( which seems like it’s complementary) and add it to your final bill. I didn’t mind paying for it because it was really nice but they should ask/mention that!
Y.
4 stars only because they serve the most delicious loukoumades in London.
The starters and mains were disappointing with very small portions. The deep sea scarlet prawn is literally one small prawn.
We spent approx £60 each on food only and for that price I expected more quality and quantity. But the loukoumades were good and I still think of them months later so 4 stars instead of the 2 or 3 i would have given it on the night.
A. P.
Really pretty Greek restaurant! Food was brilliant and the service was professional, friendly and really quick. The tempura feta and the sea bass tartar was really good.
T.
Our experience at Mazi was generally good. Some highs some lows.. The aubergine dip in the jar was absolutely amazing so was the tempura fetta. We also had the calamari which was good but not something you never had before. From the mains we had the lobster orzo and truffle chicken. The lobster orzo was good but the truffle chicken was nothing special unfortunately. Generally it has a cute backyard (bit cramped) which is nice for sunny weather but we found the prices quite high for a casual restaurant. The service was a bit slow as well.
k. z.
Great service, friendly staff and delicious food!must to try:Black truffle chicken hunkar bayildi and Braised beef cheeks, small hilopites pasta and graviera cheese!!!
P. T.
Absolutely delicious and beautiful food. This food is mostly ment to be shared but you can organise yourself differently should you need. Everything is absolutely delicious, with subtile combination to delight your taste buds.

We had lunch with friends. We were 6 people. The food is excellent. You can see that there is a research behind it. I mean, even tomatoes and feta are prepared in a sophisticated and delicious way that you cannot replicate home (no spoiler :). The portions are good: we ordered 2 dishes each and i reckon that 1.5 was enough. We had one bottle of wine divided by 6 and paid 47£ each. It is not cheap but it is worthwhile

I have been here in December and the food was great but not the best experience, the service was ok but this time I found a very relaxed atmosphere, amazing food and lovely staff. We had a couple of drinks at the cocktail bar (downstairs) and then Roy, a brilliant manager, took us upstairs and guided us through an unforgettable culinary journey.
J. S.
Nice and friendly staff, specially George, who works at the cocktail bar. They manage to find a place to have dinner even with the restaurant fully booked. The food is awesome!
A. M.
Always wanted to try. Very nice staff but the food is a hit and miss. Some dishes like the courgette balls and tomato salad were good. The mains were by-and-large too salty or over cooked. Bad day in the kitchen?
P. B.
Great food and atmoshpere, greek coffee banoffee dessert was the absolute highlight
h. h.
Nice and cozy, friendly staff found the dishes very hit and miss. Greek salad a must, Calamari very good and langoustines were perfect. Jar of Talamar was not as good as next door, eggplant risotto was too rich and creamy and desserts were underwhelming (banotree and pineapple). Will try again but my vote is for the little sis next door.
P.
Lovely lunch. Plenty of nice flavours in a series of portions to share. Would recommend sea bass tartare and octopus! The menu changes from time to time so will definitely go back. Thank you Mazi team!
J. N.
Loved this place! Everything was fab. We were welcomed with shots on the house and had a lovely waiter recommend really great dishes to us. We had the aubergine and tiropita jars - would recommend they were nice starters with the bread. I’d ask for extra bread.
The fried calamari, Greek salad, feta tempura were all good. My favourite dishes would be the sea bass tartare, grilled octopus & black truffle chicken. Dessert of loukoumades and bakes peaches were yum! But would have been good to have slightly more syrup in the loukoumades. There is a cute garden in the back but it was fully booked, so I’d suggest getting a booking early to sit in the garden.
D. I.
We were very impressed with this restaurant. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the garden, but the inside space is also very nice and cosy. We loved everything we ordered - Greek salad, tiropita, octopus, cod fish and eclairs for dessert. The place was full on a Saturday night so you definitely need a reservation. We would definitely come back.
R. M.
Very nice, Greek restaurant. I had tried many different dishes there and every one was simply delicious. White, Greek wine was also very nice. The restaurant is very popular so it is advisable to make a reservation in advance. Great customer service, fantastic atmosphere. The restaurant is not the cheapest one but good quality deserves extra few pounds.
J. P.
Being Greek I was really excited about this one and in the end i was not disappointed. When I was checking the menu online I was a bit apprehensive due to some ingredients not being traditional in Greek cuisine, either way I thought I give it a try. Reservation was completed quickly by the phone.
When we arrived we were greeted and we were given a couple of options on where we would like to be seated. Stuff was polite, quick and very attentive. Food came out really fast and and everything was delicious. Even the non traditional stuff, in the way the food was prepared made sense. Try some Greek wine, experience the tempura feta and don't skip on the dessert, it's well worth it. The only thing that you should know it's that they don't follow the traditional way of serving the food, so what is ready is going out. For that you can communicate with your waiter to arrange the way you wanna be served.
I would hands down recommend this place. For people that want to try beautifully prepared Greek food and for Greeks that want to have their classic dishes with some very inspired additions.
I. K.
Had the most incredible birthday meal here, can’t wait to go back. Best Greek food in London!
V. W.
The food is very, very delicious and beautifully presented. Yes, it is on the pricey side but the actual experience lives up, if not exceeds, the expectation. The garden is beautiful and perfect for dining al fresco. I would recommend ordering a lot of plates for sharing. They really do make great food here.
V. P.
An amazing experience and some extremely tasteful dishes - highly recommended.
m. k.
clean and beautiful Graecia restaurant!!
beef cheeks was very delicious♡
we want to go in lunch time next☀️
M. M.
The food looks and tastes absolutely amazing. We started with the Fava bean jar and a Greek Salad that was so fresh. We then shared the Calamari with Chili and the Scallops and the Lamb Stifado. The lavender honey Loukoumades were a perfect way to finish off. We walked away very happy indeed.
M. X. M.
Lucky enough to have a table without booking (Arrived at 12 sharp). Food is better than we had in Greece. :) Recommended!
R. P.
The food is good but the portions are quite small and don't come with reasonable sides. The octopus (which is apparently their signature dish) is good, but not worth the £20+. The jars are an interesting concept and good to share, but again, overpriced (£7 for a small jar of tzaztiki). Overall the restaurant offered good food but not worth the price in my opinion. We paid £50+ each for a 4 person lunch
K. O.
Got so busy eating,I forgot to take more photos! Everything was so beautifully presented, the flavors were amazing and the service was top notch! A great lunch! The deep fried Feta was sooooo AMAZING! YUMMMY!!!!
S. L.
Everything we ordered was delicious! Beef tartare and tzatziki were particularly outstanding. Would definitely return again.
G. I.
Food is very good but it became more of the Greek cuisine fusion. I liked the old menu style better. Also last time I visited it was excessively loud. Sure not the restaurants fault that people are inconsiderate but it really affected my experience
J. S. G.
Lovely place with wonderful staff and very carefully thought dishes. My favourites (for now): the smoked aubergine jar, the sea bass tartare and the octopus! Will be back :).
E. A.
Pleasantly surprised! We loved the suggestion to have all the dishes family style, and the food tasted even better than it looked. Will definitely come back!
A. A.
We went to Mazi for the first time years ago, but it feels so nice to have started going back again post all the lockdowns! We missed the garden in the summer and the great food & atmosphere all year round. One of the gems of the neighbourhood and always a reliable and fun spot (with a great staff!) for dinner & drinks with friends. Couldn't recommend more highly.
P.
Interesting and delicious take on Greek food and cocktails. Super friendly and very efficient staff. Well worth a visit.
J. G.
Delicious Greek restaurant. Went for their courgette croquettes. A must try. Their lamb and octopus were also heaven. Less impressed by the desert. Will surely come back to try other dishes.
V. S.
Lovely Greek restaurant .. tasty food! Octopus with fava was delicious and so was the fetta tempura. Lobster orzo and calamari was okayish but overall good food. No cocktails were offered on the day .. strange!
M. A.
This modern Greek restaurant is a gem in Notting Hill’s dining scene. The dishes are bursting with flavour. You won’t find heavy meat laden plates here. Everything is refined without being complicated. The grilled octopus is one of my favourites. The atmosphere is relaxed although it can get a bit noisy on a Saturday night. The service is very friendly and very helpful.
S. P.
Food was okay, but quite expensive for what it was. The jars were nice as well as the fetta fritta however as this is food I eat in Greece all the time it was really overpriced. The still water was £5 per bottle which was not stated on the menu and we had 2 bottles of water as they already bring a bottle when you sit down. The main problem was the truffle chicken which the waiter really recommended, it was not so flavoursome, the chicken was quite dry and also it had no mushroom truffle on top like the photos of the dish. The octopus dish was nice.
H. C.
Delicious Greek food at a Beautiful setting!!! All very nicely presented and service is excellent too.
C. A.
Recently visited Mazi. Its just special enough for a nice meal but also casual enough so its comfy. There is nice variety of food which was excellent and the food that we ordered was very tasty. Our only negative was that the waitress really pushed hard for us to order an extra item (we only ordered 3 items as we only wanted a light meal). Although we did not want too, we did felt inclined to order a fourth item which was too much for us. Overall a good experience and would go again (but ignore the hard sell).
M. H.
My colleagues and I had a great time trying Mazi's many creative tapas items. They excel in originality, flavour and presentation - which is all you can ask for from a restaurant. Would gladly go again.
S. D.
Very delicious food! Nice and friendly personnel! I would definitely recommend this place! <3
O. N.
Fantastic Greek food, slightly on the fancy side, very pleasant.
A.
Wonderful Greek restaurant. Especially when it's summer and you can sit in their garden. The food is delicious and affordable. Loved the starters.
m. h.
Best darn Greek food in London, and that's not hyperbole. A real fresh take on the usual fair, superb tastes and concepts and not bad value. 5 stars!
E.
One of the top Greek restaurants in the UK and easily competing with the top restaurants in London! Pick anything from the menu and you will not be disappointed; from the humble honey roasted tomatoes with goats cheese to the extravagant lobster! The amazing atmosphere and lovely hidden garden in the back just makes you feel that you are in one of the island in Greece! An unforgettable experience overall! Congratulations to the chef Skotidas and all the staff!
K. A.
Thank you so much to you and your team. We had a wedding ceremony yesterday and we wanted to have dinner after with a couple of guests. The staff were so attentive, the food was exceptional and the atmosphere was pleasant. We had such a great time. I read the reviews and I was worried that the portions would be small and everyone would leave hungry but we left completely full. We had half a bottle of alcohol (plus one round of cocktails) and it was under £60pp including food. The combinations of flavours were divine and we loved it. Thank you Mazi and your amazing team. Don't hesitate to book and enjoy the amazing experience.
R. J.
Food was great, wine choices limited. Would return. Aubergine was delicious
P. H.
Enjoyed a superb lunch here last week with a client and everything was delicious from the taramasalata jar to the fried baby squid and the wine, amazing!
Beautiful outdoor courtyard too and thank you for the awning to stop me getting burnt!
Superb service too!
If you want the best greek food in London, look no further.
Y. A.
I was not so impressed even I have read great reviews . My main dish was great but the jars and the appetiser was not that great. I love the warm bread but it was quite burnt. Also for what it offers and for the quantity on the plates I find it a bit extra. It was ok for going there once but didn’t made me crazy to visit it again
D. G.
I've been to Mazi many times in the last 10 years, but this is my first review. It's one of the best restaurants in London and a fine example of Greek hospitality. The food is mostly to share, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. They have a nice variety of classic Greek dishes with a modern twist and an expansive wine menu. The prices are reasonable. We also felt very safe when we visited last time, as we sat outside with a heater and all the staff were wearing masks, it just shows that they care about the safety of their clients. Only suggestion would be to add some vegetarian mains to the menu but this is not a big concern as there are many vegetarian/pescatarian starters. Overall delish food and lovely experience every time. Thanks Mazi!
G. S.
Did a walk-in, was warmly received by a lady floor manager, who proceeded to sit us (2 pax + our dog) down in the back garden. It started to drizzle and we were slightly hit by the rain so she kindly moved us up front to the patio. She was accommodating, generous, and hospitable throughout our lunch. The food was also phenomenal (highly recommend the beef cheeks and grilled octopus). With food and service this great (not to be taken for granted these days) I’ll definitely be back for a visit in the future. Keep up the great work :)
P.
Very good, but still a bit expensive for what you get... I understand the concept of having only Greek wines on the list but would enjoy a couple of other offerings.
C.
Really nice dishes full of yummy Greek flavours. Enjoyed their spicy tiropita in a jar (never had that before). Their lobster orzo pasta and feta tempura were also good. Had the pork belly gyro tacos which was ok but not mindblowing, staff could’ve been a bit more attentive. Other than that I can’t fault it, their deco and the whole atmosphere kinda makes you feel like you’re on holiday.
g. k.
Good and bad. We went for dinner here as its local to try it out. Not your traditional Greek food - a modern fusion touch (e.g. feta tempura). If you're looking for moussaka etc you are in the wrong place. Mostly small tapas type dishes. Tasty but a tad overpriced in my humble opinion. Our beef cheek dish was full of fat and grissle unfortunately and half of it was left. The worst part was the service - plenty of staff but SO inattentive. My friend had his empty beer glass taken away and wasn't asked if he wanted another drink. About 10 mins later my empty wine glass was taken away - and a different waiter didnt ask if i wanted another drink. This should never happen in a restaurant, but to experience it twice via 2 different waiters means something is seriously wrong. When we finally managed to get someones attention, we asked for the drinks menu. There it sat on the table for another 15 mins. No-one approached us and waiters didnt notice our waving. We gave up and asked for the bill (again difficult to get someones attention) and left. We had 4 small tapas dishes, one small beer and one (very small) glass of wine. Total cost £75. I won't be returning in a hurry - which is a shame as a potentially frequent local diner has been lost. Quite underwhelming for the price.
L. I.
Mazi was a delight from start to finish. This tiny gem really feels like you're on holiday, even when it is thrashing down with rain. We sat in the garden to start but the weather became so hostile we had to move inside. Six of us squeezed on a small table by the window but it didn't spoil the experience. I'm still dreaming of the sea bass tartare, my personal favourite from the menu. We shared about ten dishes between us including the calamari, greek salad, feta tempura, goats cheese and honey roasted tomatoes, risotto, octopus, chicken with truffle and a selection of the jars. Not only was the food delicious but the staff were so friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for something a little special to enjoy with loved ones without breaking the bank this is the place to go. I will definitely be back and I can't wait to try their sister restaurant Suzi Tros.
d. c.
Simply incredible.
Cosy location.
Friendly and professional staff.
Outstanding food.
W. D.
Delicious food, great staff. Had a great meal.
C.
Wow. Second time I order using Supper. Each time an amazing meal. Delicious. Light. Tasty. Never actually been to the restaurant but look forward to it as soon as possible. Until then I will keep ordering. Thanks Mazi!
B. C.
Food is better than our previous visits!
A. A.
best Greek restaurant.... all things in menu are delicious
N.
We loved the food, the ambient and the staff were friendly. Will go again and recommend to friends.
G. H.
An absolute delight of a Greek feast.
Been back here on multiple occasions and their Greek salad is by far my favourite in town. Their pork gyros are also delicious and not to be missed
Service is top notch. Not only that but the outdoor setting on a summers day is an added bonus.
Really enjoy this spot for some Greek delights.
m. g.
Best Greek food i've had in years!! (From a Greek-Cypriot!) Great value. Highly reccomend!
A. P.
The food was tasty, small portions though. The place should be a bit more spacious (tables too close to each other)
J. R.
My opinion is base only on two different dishes . In menu is missing hot food . I didn’t see any soup . Risotto I had was okay . Nothing special . Well mid cook little carrots added sweetness when bite into it to the cheesy sticky risotto . Service was five stars . The other dish was beef meat with egg and nice peace of toasted cut of bread . It was very different to the traditional beef tartare . Lessening to people who set near me , Americans , they were also not impressed. Saying all that there is not much good places to eat in Notting hill if you want to eat normal food so this one will be standing out .
L. D. V.
What an incredible meal! This has to be one of the most creative menus I have ever encountered. I would describe it as "Greek inspired". Such a fresh, modern take on some great Greek classics. Loved every dish we ordered (and I think we ordered at least half of the menu). Would highly recommend this restaurant! Would be great for a date night or for a group (sharing dishes is best here).
A. d. T.
One of the best Greek restaurants in London. Dishes are fantastic in taste and are a modern take on Greek food. The grilled octopus and Honey Roasted tomatoes & goat’s cheese are personal favourites.
The ambiance is also relaxed but chic with a local Notting Hill vibe.
Can't recommend this place enough!
R. R.
Very very good food. Again positive experience. Courgettes fritters were light and full of flavour, taramasalata delicate and not overpowering like some others if a bit rich (I suspect lots of cream in there...). Aubergine equivalent less impressive.
The octopus flavours were very good but probably not the most tender I’ve had. The lamb was truly exceptional.
Desert we had loukumades and you had the whole of the Mediterranean in a mouthful.
So all in definitely recommend. Prices are on the steep side, especially if you remember those of your Greek island holidays but worth it nevertheless.
s. g.
Garden is lovely and really cosy, staff is friendly and everything is presented well. Out of the 4 dishes ordered only one was really nice (grilled octopus) but the price not worth it (£24). Portions are small and designed for sharing yet very overpriced and quality not good enough to justify it. There’s other Greek restaurants I feel have better quality food. Meals for two +-£110.
n. f.
Probably the best restaurant I have been to in many years. Incredible bistro atmosphere wonderful food, wine and service.. will definitely go back
S. V.
Such a beautiful portions of modern Greek food, with an amazing Greek wine. However, the best part was our waitress Anna who enthusiastically served us with true passion. She recommended us all the dishes and wine. (We had 3 starters, 3 main and 2 desserts with a bottle of white Greek wine) - in conclusion I can’t recommend this place enough!
P.s. Very good value for money considering London prices.
Z. A.
Best Greek restaurant, great food , best service. Amazing atmosphere I love this place.
D. B.
By far my favorite restaurant when I traveled over from the States for the Jaguars-Eagles game. Our group didn't really know what we were ordering half the time, but every dish blew us away.
Service was great. The small venue size was nice as it gave an intimate feel, but I would recommend trying to make reservations ahead of time.
M. V.
Excellent service and great dishes! A unique and modern atmosphere, very close to the station. I'd definitely recommend that place
T. R.
Excellent greek restaurant! We enjoyed so much our evening yesterday. Booking (via email) was quick and easy, and they even remembered that it was for a birthday so they prepared us a nice table at the back of the room. The night was perfect!
The food is excellent, the service is really fast on a busy weekday evening. People working there are nice as well. I totally recommend it and I'll be back soon!
A.
Great food. Fresh ingredients. Wonderful flavors in each dish. I went with a group and had the chef select our dishes, which turned out amazing. Service is also very good, extremely accommodating and cheerful staff. Mazi just became a favorite of mine!
E. M.
Five stars every single time! Everything is so delicious and the staff are wonderful. Always a treat eating at mazi, there is something on the menu for everyone. The best Greek in London for sure.
N. C.
Fresh ingredients. Nice flavours. We ordered most of the vegetarian options and were not disapointed. A lot have dairy products though. Weather permitting, the outside space makes you feel you are in Greece. Service sometimes brisk and not very personable. I would still go again.
R. S.
Excellent atmosphere and innovative food. Shame about the mixed level of service. One waitress was intent on taking our entire order right at the beginning. I explained to her that we'd like to wait until after the starters to decide the main courses since we would not know how full we would be or what we felt like eating. She eventually reluctantly agreed but from that point onward she did not pay us much attention. With better service this place could be really good.
a. p.
This is a good Greek restaurant in the heart of London. The menu is not big, just enough to give the visitor a good enough range of tastes and ingredients. Execution is good, the style of the chef is light and modern. The quantities could be bigger, and the wine list has room for improvement. Worth a visit. Book and arrive early, as the service tends to be confused with all tables full.
N. M.
The food was ok. The service is extremely slow, you need to spend good couple of hours and wait for long time for your food to arrive. We went on a hot summer night, and it was impossibly hot inside (maybe you should consider not using candles when it's already so boiling inside).
H. S.
Would definitely recommend Mazi for authentic Greek food. We had a wonderful selection of dishes and were spoilt for choice. Staff were very friendly and attentive too, will definitely return!
F. F.
Really Nice experience. The place is charming, very well received and the food is absolutely delicious. I recommend the feta tempura and the grilled octopus. Oh and their taramasala is probably the best I had in London. A bit loud when it gets crowded but nothing really annoying.
J. M.
Pleasantly surprised. Love finding good restaurants close to home. The concept it great, the food was delicious and the service excellent.
E. B.
Excellent food & service, we had a lovely 'birthday lunch' for our first visit, having received a recommendation from friends. Natasha served us and was delightful and professional, describing each of the chef's recommended dishes, which added to our enjoyment.
R. G.
One of a kind Greek. We were blown away. Traditional but with modern (and utterly delightful) twists. Starters in charming jars, filo to die for. No vegetarian mains when we went but lots of good veggie mezes.. can't wait to go back...
S. R.
The food was delicious, the service perfect and the wine excellent. Special mention for the tender octopus signature dish, absolutely delicious. I recommend Mazi without the shadow of a doubt and will be back to try more dishes! Remember to book as the place gets busy (a good sign the locals know how good the place is!)
A. S.
We had a very nice time as a party of four, the restaurant is cosy, well located close to transport, the white wine called Paranga was delicious, food was great we were not disappointed by anything and everything tasted fresh. Only price versus the size of the plate/dish is to be challenged (don't be overly hungry). Count 45 per head when you are 4.
L. S.
Food is brilliant, contemporary presentation and modern alterations to traditional Greek dishes. The quality is top notch as they source most of the ingredients directly from Greece. Drinks menu is also very entertaining, as well-known cocktails are made with a greek twist. Great setting, atmosphere and little garden on a sunny, warm day. All in all a great place to explore Greek cuisine away from tourist traps or feel like home!!
P. G.
Really enjoyed this busy Greek (but not as in kebabs) restaurant. Great take on Greek flavours but in a reconstituted form. Sharing dishes and all comes when ready. 8 dishes plenty for 4 of us. Will be back.
E. B.
One of the best restaurants in London. Never had a bad meal here and we’ve been many times. Service is good and the staff are friendly. Recommend the orzo with lamb.
C. F.
Incredible modern greek food!
N. S.
Excellent Greek inspired food.
B. A.
Innovative modern Greek restaurant that has replaced an old neighbourhood favourite. Food comes in small portions and is on the expensive side. However, it had a beautiful garden at the back, plenty seating, and deliciously made food.
Don't forget to book!
A. I.
I really like Mazi! It has a neighbourhood modern Greek restaurant feel. On a beautiful sunny day the patio and the food makes the experience 5 stars. On most days it's a solid 4. I recommend it for any occasion. Something to keep in mind is that it is a small place.
R. R.
Food was lovely, however i was with a group of 10 people and they only gave us two plates. The portion wasn't great either, still feel hungry. The price is not to take seriously either, we paid £400 between 10 people to share from two plates which felt like eating rations. Apart from that the dishes were tasty, can't say I'm coming here again though.
K. D. J.
This is a great ‘underground’ foodie restaurant. It’s delicious and rivals most places in London. I still dream about the Greek salad - I know seems basic but somehow they take it to the next level!
K. P.
Fantastic small plate Greekish menu. Easy for sharing. A bit crowded and very busy both lunch n dinner. Excellent Greek wines. Reservations recommended.
N. M.
Really enjoyed this place. A nice modern take on Greek cuisine, with prices to match. But the food was tasty, and while a little bit tight (not ideal for pushchairs) this is a nice little place to eat.
J. K.
Great food and friendly, super efficient service. Quite expensive (although nothing over the top by London standards).
However, the service is so efficient it can be intrusive and you can feel you’re being rushed out the door if you are eating during an earlier sitting (eg. 6pm).
M. G.
Stylish modern greek in moderate and shareable portions. Never ceases to please. Pleasant inside dining and get a table a in the rear patio when the weather is good. Has been a reliable performer over many visits.
H. B.
Went for lunch yesterday, absolutely unreal food with the selections from the staff. Best Greek food in London.
p. m.
Still top quality and did not jack their prices. Creative, friendly and professional.
H. S.
Positives:
- Nice location, nice garden with fig and lemon trees
- Good attentive service
- Good food (although not exceptional)
Less Positives:
- Limited lunch menu.
Overall is a nice restaurant on the pricey side; you can find plenty of similar others in Notting Hill.

If you think you know Greek food, think again. This charming little restaurant seems to always know how to add a modern twist to traditional dishes without losing their character. Try the pink cloud of delicious fluffyness that is their taramo.
The place itself delivers a quaint environment that lends itself more to larger groups as the acoustics don't do quiet romantic dinners for couples any favours - hushing sweet little nothings is a no go.
C. R.
Contemporary Greek cuisine with great tastes and interesting choices. Lovely staff and warm atmosphere. Great Greek wines too. One of the best restaurants in London and certainly the best in Notting Hill.
D. A.
A nice little place just off Notting Hill Gate, away from the noise of the main road.
Nice atmosphere, nice staff. The food was pleasing, though the portions weren't too big.
Grilled Aubergine with soy and thyme honey in the jar was very yummy.
Very comfortable place to sit, chat and eat, I'd go again and recommend to others.
C. A.
Can be improved: Portions a bit too small, ouzo not served in a proper Ouzo glass.
Amazing: my friend Vasilis - very welcoming and warm. And Octopus, again, small, but really delicious, made me feel in Turkey!
C. O. M.
Fantastic food and great service too. Lots of small sharing dishes. Great for family or close friends

London is full of Greek cuisine, but Mazi has been my favourite for quite some time. Inspired by the foods of old Greece, this charming restaurant brings together classic dishes handed down for generations and a contemporary flair for presentation and style.
The whole concept of Mazi revolves around the fact that their dishes are meant to be shared by every guest at the table, which was perfect for my friend and I. When we arrived, we were greeted by our friendly server, who was more than happy to explain the menu.
We started with perfectly grilled aubergine, with a touch of soy and thyme honey, and an authentic tzatziki with only a pinch of garlic, which were uniquely presented in rustic glass jars. We also shared a hot plate of feta tempura, served with lemon marmalade and caper meringue. I loved the mix of the creamy feta with the crunchy batter, and the tanginess of the lemon and sweetness of the capers were spot on. For the one of the mains, we had grilled octopus, which was delicious and perfectly charred, and the herbed potato salad and olive tapenade were the perfect accompaniments.
My absolute favorite part was the Greek desserts, which we shared, but I was more than content to eat them all myself. The Galaktoboureko was delicious, the custard creamy and the dough light and flaky, with a hint of sweet syrup. We also enjoyed frozen Greek yogurt, topped with candied quince and a cinnamon oat crunch. Yum!
Mazi is the best modern representation of the Greek cuisine in London, and the service and staff were excellent and accommodating. I particularly loved the way the food was presented, which really tied the rustic vibe of the restaurant’s décor into the food. I highly recommend Mazi for anyone looking to escape to Greece through their taste buds!
F. F.
Excellent quality of the food, very fine and tasty, small quantities served but worth the price. The service was equally attentive and gentle. Very good experience. Better book your table.
C. C. D.
Best Greek food I’ve ever had in London! Everything that we tried was delicious and the staff was super friendly. Will certainly be coming back soon.
T. J.
Excellent Greek food with a modern twist, presented delightfully in little jars. Overall good service and enjoyable evening. Small cozy place, so book ahead or come early.
M. B.
Best Greek restaurant in London.
D. D. E.
Everything is to share. Small portions, which tastes of heaven. Incredible good. Forget what you think you know about the greek kitchen, this is not compareable. Good service and a full restaurent. Couldn't have been better.
A. R.
The food is good quality and presented very well and creatively. Down side is that it's very pricy and although the dishes are greek they are not traditional greek. If your looking for something contemporary then this is the place for you. If you want something more traditional then try one of the Greek restaurants at Queensway which is just 1 stop from Notting Hill Gate.
D. Z.
Amazing place but don’t forget to book in advance. Go here to share different food and taste all the menu. Highly recommend the eggplant spread and the feta fried cake.
C. V. D.
Delicious modern Greek food and a great all Greek wine list. Often full, definitely need to book. Device can be a bit slow for larger hroups
S. K.
Tasty food, nice service! Highly recommended! We did not have a booking, the place was packed for dinner, but they were very kind and asked us to sit down and wait a bit on a bench outside.
J. S.
What a gem. Must try. You will thank me later. Go for the chefs choices.
S. S.
Overhyped place in my opinion. Extremely slow service and the atmosphere inside is unbearable during hot weather due to inefficient air conditioning. The food is ok and nothing out of the ordinary.
E. K.
I have been going there 3-4 times a year for last 5 years & always love the food! Hope they keep up the good work and continue to deliver authentic flavours.
A. K.
Very tasty food, great staff and great atmosphere but quite expensive.
L. T.
Seafood dish very tasty. Nice environment and service. I like the atmosphere there. Please do survive this pandemic.
C. H.
Fantastic food, and unlike any other Greek restaurant you'll go to.
M. K.
Real Greek food, delicious and felt like my grandma was hidden in the kitchen and cooked everything! Just like back home but more fancy. Worth trying it.
D. V.
Their dips come in jars which is kitschy. The plates are great for sharing so good to go with people who can eat similarly. Lots of vegetarian and pescetarian options on the menu.
H. W.
Amazing food. 6 of us and the waiter suggested we leave it to them to provide a selection for us all to try, as first timers we were all very happy and all of the dishes were superb.
N. S.
Excellent food, nice atmosphere, good service althoug they were trying to clear plates from the table whereas we had not finished (it was the last service so no reason to rush). A bit noisy a some point, some people get drunk...
Overall, nice experience!
G. S.
I'm still drooling. Literally. Everything was perfect tonight. Atmosphere, furniture, lights, service, the other customers, the 'philosophical' toilets and, last but not least, the A-M-A-Z-I-N-G food. We ordered 2 'jars' (starters served in...guess what?...jars!) and the traditional Greek salad with some bread on the side. The two starters we had were: Fava octopus (mashed fava beans with grilled octopus and caramelised onions) and Tiropita (which is a Greek phyllo pastry, stuffed with cheese, although this contemporary rendition of the famous börek is basically a feta cheese - and maybe egg? - fondue garnished with red chillies where the phyllo pastry is broken and covered with generous and cheesy layers of the fondue).
Food was more than enough for two people and the bill was £30, including a bottle of still water, a pint of draught beer and service charge.
I still can't decide which was the best plate. I'm afraid I will need to go back and have a second round...well...can't wait! ;)

Lovely modern twist on Greek cuisine with complex flavours, cozy interior and accommodating staff. Perfect
B. S.
Wonderful taste. Noce people. Expérience in Mazi is unique !!
S. B.
Fantastic food which is much improved from my last visit (due to a new chef). Only issue was the service where we were constantly pestered about turning around the table
M. K.
I eat here every time I am in London. Love it. Excellent restaurant, value for money
A. M.
Lovely Greek food. In summer the sunny courtyard is unique in Notting hill. Fresh ingredients and the service is excellent.
S. R.
A great selection of dishes, well presented and in a lovely setting. A few of our choices were not available after we had ordered them, but other than that a lovely experience.
A. Y.

Had a nice meal outside in the patio. Chose the cheapest white bottle of wine which was very good. Great place but over priced.
E. G.
Very good restaurant, Greek cuisine with a twist (you will not find the typical souvlaki -pita wrap- here), and nice atmosphere.
C. N.
Delicious food and friendly service in a small / cosy interior. Portions are decent sized, be careful not to over-order.
B. M.
Absolutely loved the food and atmosphere here. Great flavours in all the food we had. And great service.

As a Greek I tell you this is one of the best Greek restaurants in the area. They offer traditional Greek food with a very interesting modern twist.

(Translated) Thank you very much for the hospitality, the meal was wonderful, the squid, the juvette, the tacos skewers, the sweets. Although the food is presented in a modern way, the flavors are authentic and took me back to food of my childhood. Unfortunately I only took a photo of my dessert, the peanut ice cream with mastic, a work of art in appearance but also the taste very nice. Thank you again and I hope we will be back.

(Translated) Modern Greek food. Unlike typical Greece near Turkey, the offering is also fancy. Price is also commensurate with £ 130-150 for two people.
The two white wines I ordered in a glass are light and inexpensive?
Modern Greek very different from typical old style Turkish like dishes. Fancy presentation. Glass of white wines taste simple, may not serve with its price.

(Translated) Unfortunately a weak four, the food was very good overall, however, the food came in way too quickly. We had eaten all the dishes including dessert in an hour. You felt stressed when they came up with new dishes before eating it before. The dishes were not allowed to come into their own. The environment was cozy but loud / poor acoustics.
