Reviews of Megan's on the High Street Restaurant (Kensington)

What a wonderful dining experience! I stumbled upon this place as I was walking by. I didn’t have a reservation but they found a nice table for me. It was also happy hour and they had wonderful cocktails. Ordered a vegetarian meal and it was so delicious. I have a food allergy and the manager herself took my order and made sure all of my needs were met. Highly recommend
M. H.
Promises more than it delivers.
A wide menu choice and wear house style interior. Yet when busy can’t cope. The kitchen being in the basement and staff although trying hard don’t know what’s going on. This food the comes would be good yet tends to be over cooked or cold.
Strangle Dog friendly, and not sure why with the food hygiene complexity this creates.
Try but be prepared. Go at quieter times and enjoy as I’m sure can be excellent

Such and amazing place for brunch!
So much vegetarian options which are more then tasty! Variaty of flavours, colors and smells makes you want to come back to this place!
Very kind staff! Would definetely recommend if visiting London!

The venue is spaciouse and very homey / bohemian feel to it and the restaurant is very dog friendly.
After my friend booked it I went straight to the menu and had a look of what I could have and i layed my eye on the "Cokertme ' Turkish steak and chips" and boy, it was deliouse. Apperently the meat is cooked for 10hours and when you pull the meat with your fork it just come off and the flavour with the meat 👌 perfect.
Make sure to come for happy hours and have their mimosa followed by calamari as starter and then Cokertme.

Very nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was nice and a very good concept. The attention to detail from the waiters is not great. Several times seeing them standing and talking and not paying attention. Had to wait a long time before even requesting the bill as no one available. Nice location with free parking in evenings.

The food was very good, although that’s a bit costly. I would have given a better rating however the service cannot be ignored. Despite going early (6pm) for dinner and there being few customers the service was externally slow. It was difficult to grab the staffs attention and afterwards and they took a long time to bring the food. Also very early in the night they had already finished the house wine.
That being said, the food was very good and the decor of the restaurant was very very pretty. All the lights were relaxing and made a lovely atmosphere for the dinner.
For anyone going I would recommend the fondue starter!
M. M.
Plenty of options, tasty coffee. The interior is lovely and cozy. A bit pricey for what lands on your plate and the staff acted somewhat chaotic, but it might have been extra busy on Valentine's.
Plus for the place being dog-friendly!

We went there for brunch. The food was really good with plenty of variety and their dishes are good to share. Leave room for dessert since their cookie dough in a hot pan is amazing. The atmosphere and decor is charming. Good customer service. Highly recommended.

Superb Turkish brunch place on Kensington High Street. Service was fast and the atmosphere well presented. Get the ‘brunch feast’ to share for 2 people (or more). It’s a fantastic spread and you won’t go home hungry I promise! We will most certainly return and also try the Angel branch in the future.

I like Megan’s. It feels homey, pleasant, comfortable to be there. The Christmas decorations, the tasteful furniture, and the soft lights create a warm atmosphere.
Bonus point: the very charming Brazilian waiter with an Italian accent will make you feel even more welcome with his smile and bubbly conversation.
Food wise, I can only comment on a couple of things because we had tea there:
- The rosemary and lemon cake was incredible. Moist, spongey, sweet (duh), delicate. The piece was huge but I left nothing behind. Nothing.
- The cookie filled with Nutella was decent. It was good even. The problem is that I tried it after being transported to Cake paradise with the rosemary and lemon cake, so the odds were never staked in its favor.
M. M.
The meal was ok chips were nice sauces were nice, but meat was a bit dry, humous was too liquidy. Olives not nice at all. Tabbouleh lacking in flavour.
S. H.
Great food and atmosphere. Service slowed as the restaurant got busier and our coffee order was missed but regardless was still a pleasant experience at Meghan’s. Would recommend the sharing brunch platter if like us you can’t make your mind up.
M. A.
Hands down the best brunch/ breakfast place in London. The the food quality is very good, the location is great and the atmosphere inside is warm and homy.
They had a problem with service in the past and they acctually replied below and respect to their customer service, superb!!!!!
Try their Turkish Brunch Feast and the vegan pancakes... But also everything else is great
B. N.
I like the asmostphere of this restaurant and the look of the food, but the breakfast are so bland. I wish my coconut porridge were sweeter. The avocado on toast should be served with salmon or bacon to add some taste to it. The male staff at the front is quite blunt and not very friendly.
L. A.
Absolutely positive experience, the food is great bit very expensive. I understand that it is Kensington High Street, but it is still a restaurant for workers. However, positive experience... need to be improved the quality of the cocktails, I sent it back because diluted with water.
A. D.
Lovely restaurant. It gets pretty busy over the weekend. Booking is highly recommended. The menus is a revision of Middle Eastern food with a British and Australian twist. You can have hummus and falafel, vegan pancakes with chia coconut yogurt or avo on toast. Their coffe and lattes are actually quite good. I end up getting two every time I go as I like them so much.
D. Y.
Lovely food and friendly staff. Even though they said it was busy and we'd be delayed. Shame they couldn't seat more guests who came with us despite an empty table behind us. But. Overall a lovely experience and the dog friendly tables made for an eventful afternoon. The lady staff member was lovely giving us a top up prosecco as she removed one too soon, and a cookie dessert. Delightful experience. 6 of us had brunch, bottle of prosecco and water and a soft drink. £22.15 p/h when we split the bill.
A. J.
Such friendly accommodating staff who were perfectly attentive.
The decoration is appealing and the cleanliness was excellent.
The food was excellent and the coffee out of this world.
We only had breakfasts, but wished we'd been able to eat a main meal there also. Should I return to South Kensington I will definitely be revisiting Megan's!
S. L.
To counterbalance some of the negative reviews below, I have to say that I was extremely happy with the standard of service I received at lunchtime today when purchasing some takeaway items. The young lady who served me was incredibly friendly, polite and professional in her manner. She also kindly gifted me a free slice of cake with my purchases under the Megan's reward scheme, which was a very nice unexpected touch, especially as I had been having a bad day up until that point! I am sorry I didn't catch her name, but please do pass on my thanks if you can.
J. B.
This cafe come all day breakfast club restaurant really has a buzz. Healthy, fresh food for all tastes. Even though extremely busy, the short wait for food was worth it.
L. K.
I was recommended to visit this restaurant by a friend and on first arrival it looked amazing! The food was excellent and the scenery was lovely, however the service was hugely disappointing. It took 15/20 minutes for someone to come over at the beginning and we had to ask to order our food and drinks. We asked to order our dessert with 35 minutes until close and the waitress very bluntly responded the kitchen was closed, which was never communicated to us. Food was excellent but the overall service was appalling, very disappointed.
S. E. K.
Lovely restaurant! I had a delicious brunch, couldn't stop eating.. very friendly staff. Will come back again!
A. C.
Very popular, booking advisable, although we managed to get a table as a walk-in. The food was really good, lovely sweet potato fries, gorgeous salad including avocado, grilled chicken was lightly spiced, and the salmon was tasty. The Megan's brunch was good as well.
The staff were friendly and efficient., despite it being very busy.
E. M.
Only came for coffee so can't say aynthing about food. But our drinks were good and I found the staff to be super welcoming, attentive and reactive. The place is absolutely gorgeous, outstanding decoration and very enjoyable atmosphere . Will definitively come back to try their food options !
A. G.
OMG Spanish Latte was absolutely delicious here , I felt like I was back in Spain while drinking the latte . Beautiful restaurant, with amazing customer service, the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming . I’m definitely going to come back to this place , will be bringing family and friends.
R. S.
Just providing some clarity on the review following the request from the restaurant. We ordered the brunch and it came cold for one of us. They offered to remake it which was very kind but meant the other brunch was cold by the time the hot one came out.
Just meant that the meal wasn't a great experience, but we did really appreciate them remaking the cold brunch, it just didn't work out and therefore not a great experience!
E. V.
The place is absolutely beautiful however it’s a bit pricey and that would be okay if the service was also great but it isn’t that good. They take too long to serve and the customer experience is not to the standards that one would expect at a place like this. It’s not terrible but for the price you pay for just a latte you expect a top service and it’s NOT. Coffee isn’t that great either. The food is very tasty though and the atmosphere of the place is very nice. Only if the service would be a bit better.. I would be eager to go more often.
J. H.
We popped in to grab some hot drinks to take with us for a walk around Holland park. When we arrived, the cake looked so yummy that we couldn't resist trying some!
We ordered the carrot cake & two slices of the pumpkin & coconut cake. Both of which were incredibly tasty, and had a gorgeous moist texture. Highly recommended!
The gentleman who served us was very jolly & friendly. He provided a personal & efficient service, and was very chatty. He even threw in a complimentary salted chocolate cookie as a very kind gesture.
We would highly recommend Megan's, and when we next come to Kensington, we shall be sure to return!
R. W.
I've been to this Megan's a number of times, the food is always great; very tasty. The service always seems rushed, and on this occasion, with a 7pm booking, in the middle of eating our meal, we were told the kitchen was closing at 8pm, despite the restaurant closing at 11pm. We left with no explanation given as to why we had to rush our meal.
A. A.
Delicious food! The Turkish Cheese Fondue was beyond perfect! Same with the Half Baked Cookie Dough! Make sure to reserve a table because the place is always full. I love the ambiance of this place plus the attentive but not overbearing staff. Will definitely come back again and again!!!
G. M.
I liked the place, their food and service was lovely. Halloumi cheese with honey was amazing 🤩 A bit too acoustic but I didn’t mind much. Also, we ordered one extra bread and they forgot about it but they were so busy, I can understand this can happen. I truly enjoyed it and I will be back soon…
s. g.
We've been four or five times and the food is both good and a little different from its competition in High Street Kensington. Service was a little stretched today - they were very busy - and it showed up less experienced staff. The food, however, was excellent (mezze and Buddha bowls)
J. D.
I like the asmostphere of this restaurant and the look of the food, but the service is also important- nobody wanna be served with a blank angry face.
S. N.
I had a delicious Megan's Full English and Bloody Mary. Just amazing
C. N.
Good food, decent prices, nice space :)

We had a bottomless lunch at Megan’s in High Street Kensington. We did not have a booking reservation but the manager Vicenzo was so helpful and find a table for me and my friend. His service was fantastic and I really recommend this place for brunch. You will not regret it
C. S.
Nice atmosphere, good services. Below average food with a Middle-Eastern European/Turkish flavours.
P. S.
Very attractive place, warm and welcoming. The coffee is good, but not everyone in my table liked. Cakes ok. Nice the option to scan the barcode to check the digital menu. Staff friendly, but by forced manners.
B. G.
What a lovely place. Thoroughly enjoyed my English breakfast tea leaves instead of a bag was piping hot. Tasted delicious with my carrot cake. Enjoyed the Ambiance so much visited the next day for breakfast and had eggs benedict which was also delicious. The staff were friendly, smiley and informative. Reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again when next in the area. Highly recommended 👌🏾
A.
-Nice atmosphere
-Lovely decor
-Friendly service
-Great selection of loose leaf teas
-Delicious vegan pancakes
-Accommodating to my order (I asked for minimal maple syrup and on the side)

Would love to visit again.

Great ambience and the food is really delicious. The staff are so warm and friendly such a great atmosphere.

Lovely quirky brunch, great vibes, great experience!!!!
K. B.
Very quick service and lovely food. Smoothies are perfect on hot summer days.
The cauliflower salad was lovely too. Thank you :)
A. K.
The place was fairly empty but it took them over 20 minutes to get us the water and coffee, and then another 20 minutes for the food, the shakshoka was tasty but all the food wasn't well presented and didn't appealing, the bread was over toasted the staff were nice but didn't know what they were doing, they didn't know the items in the menu and confused how to serve the drinks.
Its a bit messy cuisine menu, and its expensive place.
Maybe try other places in the area around next time.
S. G.
One of my favorite coffee in London. It is very near to my office and so we frequently visit it. the ambience is top class and looks very hip. I have been here for breakfast with my wife and we loved the place. I had a veggie breakfast and she had an earthy bowl. The place is very clean and tidy. Staff is as good as it can be, Definitely recommend.
R. N.
Lovely no rush service and good quality food.
G. O.
Beautiful restaurant, relaxed ambience and good service. Fresh tasty food, the quality is unquestionable. Lots of space upstairs and downstairs so can be used for private functions. Attended an engagement/wedding reception there, food quality and drinks were 👌 though service seemed slow. Great place for a date and group meals. Will recommend
C. D.
Nice looking place (like any other Megan's in London-the Kings Road one is actually cuter), shame the food doesn't match with the promising vibes from the decor. Average taste, no shame but nothing special. Very overpriced for what's offered.
Also, not too sure if I want to sit down in a restaurant where they do not know how to spell what they serve....... It is called Prosecco....
S. K.
Me and my boyfriend had the best time here! It was excellent, the food was gorgeous. We had the Calamari, Cheese fondue & mixed grill mezze and everything was cooked to perfection.
What made this experience even better were the staff. So lovely, welcoming, friendly and smiley! A breath of fresh air in London. 100% we can’t wait to come back!
A. C.
Beautiful place. Loved the interiors and the food. Definitely recommended.
Would suggest on getting a reservation.
R. C.
We had a bottomless brunch and the manager Vincenzo was very accommodating and he gave us the best service we ever had!
Come here for your bottomless brunch, you won’t regret it l!
J. J.
Maybe avoid going when it is very busy, food quality won't be there best. My food was cold when it arrived, so I returned it (they kindly offered me something else but i declined) and it took a long time for my partner's hot chocolate to arrive. The staff are friendly but spend a lot of time fiddling on their tablets instead of being intentive when you try call them over. But I would try Megan's at less busy time.
P. G.
What an absolutely pleasant surprise. I had the tasty vegetarian bowl and was not disappointed. Staff are super friendly, the decor is unique and welcoming. The coffee was splendid as was their coconut cream. Great spot & good prices for the UK. Location is perfect.

Megan's on the High Street Restaurant (Kensington) is a very good Little Italy restaurant that serves more rustic Italian American fare.
The service is excellent; they are constantly checking in on you to ensure that the food is good and that your drinks are filled. They had given us the incorrect drinks and had no problem exchanging them for the correct ones at no cost.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the business is run by a family.
Overall, I had a fantastic time at Da Nico and would highly recommend it to anyone.
L.
I came here on invitation for a yoga and dinner experience. We did yoga downstairs (see their website under ‘What’s On’) then came up for a really amazing dinner.
The place is absolutely stunning. Beautiful wooden lanterns, white woven lamp shades, generally a elegant beachy feel. They have these little huts with cushioned booths and golden fairy lights absolutely everywhere. What a place for a date or a romantic anything.
The staff were very friendly, attentive and efficient. We were a table of 12, had pre-ordered and our food all came out almost at the same time.
The food - I had the Grilled Salmon with Bulgar Wheat and Pomegranate (£15). It was superb. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the bulgar wheat salad had so many flavours just popping. I can’t wait to have it again.
Highly recommend this place for anyone for any occasion.
T. N.
Went here for lunch. I had the chili chicken shashuka kebab, I wasn't sure what to expect but it was delicious.
Service was a bit slow but it was mentioned that they were short staffed that day
V.
Relaxed setting and a great bonus being pet friendly
The Turkish cheese fondu was excellent and they top you up with more bread. This was probably the highlight along with the overnight braised lamb
I found the falafel here a bit dry as well as the chicken.
Slightly on the expensive side too
S. P.
Such a beautiful place! Vegan pancakes were delicious. The brunch was good, but nothing especial. Still the vibe of the place is just amazing and it's dog friendly!
M. M.
The food was pretty decent but really the best part about this restaurant is the feel and design.
It's remarkably stunning and makes for a great place for a date!
K. R.
Tried the Megan's in Islington first and loved it so much I suggested it to a friend (and her dog!) for lunch! It did not disappoint! Excellent food and staff and the place has an excellent buzz about it. Highly recommended!

First time at Megan's on the High Street Kensington and we were more that delighted to have Fatima help us with the best choice to order and make sure everything was healthy, and on time, she made the lunch very positive and we really appreciated her care for detail in a very bubbly way!! We will definitely come back especially for her service and the food was brilliant
T. M.
What a beautiful (dog friendly) place! With a lovely story behind it - read their website for their objectives!
The food we ordered was delicious (lamb, poached egg and sweet potato hash), but our order was taken wrong, despite me pointing at the dish on the menu... They were quick to fix the issue, on the bright side, and to be fair, it was loud and very busy inside.
M. O.
Adored the Mezze board at Megan’s it was delicious and the staff were amazing!
I. B.
Great little restaurant! Very casual and comfortable - I like the armchairs which fit under the tables. Good choice of menu, tending towards Middle Eastern tastes. We had a very tasty lunch, brunch is served all day, reasonably priced, good service, friendly relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely go again!
F. S.
Food is very flavorful and delicious - also light and healthy so didn't feel bloated afterwards. I can recommend the Nourish Bowl and the Roast Cauliflower, Butternut & Pomegranate Bowl from the evening menu. If you treat yourself to a cocktail; I enjoyed the Spicy Tommy's Margarita.
Most staff were very professional and sweet but our waiter seemed very grumpy. Other than that - atmosphere is warm and delightful
r.
This restaurant is everything you need for some original tapas and bites.
We didn't go for the main meals (because we didn't need to!), but their hummus w/ braised lamb and turkish fondue were just fine, topped with a piece of carrot cake to share.
Lets not talk about the AMAZING mood cause by the gigantic amount of lights in the restaurant (which you will find more appreciated at night), and the very smooth and nice waiters.
Will come back for more.
F. N.
The servers and ambience of the place were nice, but the foods tasted rather bland. We got some calamari, hummus, peri-peri 'wings', and fries. Only the fries and hummus that were not underseasoned. The calamari and 'wings' could've used bit more salt and seasonings. But the drinks were really nice though, we got easy green and another drink that's a mix of apple and pineapple juice.

Absolutely lovely evening here. Fatima was so hospitable & a joy! She was attentive and went above & beyond …. What a lovely member of your team.
Local to this Megan’s it’s a clean, fun relaxed please to go for any occasion 10/10
Easy to book & large vegan selection

Lovely staff, very attentive and friendly. Great selection of breakfast items; my favourite is the smashed avocado with chilli flakes and poached egg!

Very good food, fancy decor and nice service! Excellent location for a breakfast or lunch.

Our server Fatima introduced herself to us first thing and from that point on was an excellent example of what good waiting staff should be. She had just the right balance of familiarity and professionalism and sorted an issue with our order straight away and with a smile.

It's okay. Fries were really good but the Mediterranean food was somewhat bland and didn't stick out and the chorizo was soft with no bite or any kick to it. That was a first for me as I'm used of them being spicy and burned with a chew to it. Service was nice though and they tried.
