Food was nice with good flavours but wasn’t a fan of the cheese fondue with brunch. Restaurant was well decorated and had plenty of seating. Felt that the service was good on arrival but had to ask for water 3 times until we got it and the same for the card machine for payment.

Came here with a friend a few days ago who, although not lactose intolerant has to limit dairy intake. It was busy however, we were well looked after. Special thanks to Emma, who not only took the time to establish any dietary requirements, she made us feel welcome, was attentive and helpful. It was our first time here; the food was delicious; the service was efficient and we would definitely visit again!

An ok brunch spot in an area where you’re competing with extraordinary brunch spots. Seating is great, staff attentive and friendly. Well catered for if you have allergies. The meal itself was just ok. The sausages lacked flavour, eggs more on the hard than soft side if poached and you need to order an extra slice of toast to get your fill.

Megan's saved our evening after an initial duff restaurant booking elsewhere. Food was tasty, hot and served promptly by attentive friendly staff. Wine was good value for London. Another restaurant goer told us that not all tips go to the staff, so we paid that by cash to our excellent host. Shame on Megan's if that is the case, the front and back of house staff deserve the full service charge payments.

What a wonderful experience! All of the staff were brilliant and accommodating. The food was delicious and plentiful for a group of 22 hungry ladies ! Stella and Victor were absolutely amazing. 4.5 First time in a Megan's and really liked the menu, not too wide. We tried the sharing lunch platter and added halloumi and hummus with crispy lamb. All very tasty. The setting and atmosphere created is relaxing and staff all lovely. I would definitely go back.

We saw this restaurant on our shopping trip nearby so giving it a try. The atmosphere was excellent, especially for the summer months. Unfortunately, we were told there was no table available inside the restaurant but we didn't mind sitting outside. Food was good and we benefited from the cocktail happy hours too! We will book in next time to sit inside as it looks so beautiful!

I love Megan’s they can do no wrong. You know exactly what you’re getting and the bottomless is such good value - your glass is never empty either. Visited here a few times but one time in particular with my mum, she was chatting to a lady who works there who was just so kind and such lovely service! They bonded as they both have aquamarine rings and I just felt the woman spent extra time talking to my mum whilst serving us and being lovely that it really made our visit! She’s a credit to this Megan’s! I have visited on other occasions and the chap who usually is front of house (perhaps manager?) is sometimes quite rude and dismissive. Other than that, this Megan’s is up there with the one at the pavement!

We arrived and happened to be the only people in the restaurant, it was mine and my partners valentines redo after having covid on the real event. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, drinks to a while to arrive which was a bit annoying at it was quiet but not a big deal. The food was fantastic despite watching it sit on the pass for 10 minutes whilst the waiter chatted with some drinkers (not a problem with that it was just frustrating seeing our food sit there for so long). Will deffo go back.

26/10/21 - I've eaten at this place regularly for the past 6 months. Within the context of 80+ eating experiences - the staff are brilliant, attentive to customer needs and the food is consistently good. The service industry is not infallible it's reliant on people to make it work - the most important thing is that places (Megan's endorse this principle) strive to continually improve how they deliver their service. I understand disappointment (the one star reviews) but a place like this, who serve maybe 300+ people on a busy day can't be judged by one or two individuals single experience.....

Second time coming here and it very nice. The food was very nice, I wanted a bacon sandwich, which isn't on the menu but they made it for me. Staff were great, very friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend and be back.

Second visit to a Megan’s and we thought we would try a different one. It was very good, busy and full. Staff were very attentive and gave great service, always checking back - which is nice. Such a beautiful place! Everything is so clean and the interior design is stunning! Feels like you dont want to leave the place anymore. Amazing and friendly staff and the tea&coffee was spot on! The restaurant has a nice feel and the staff who served our party were very friendly and attentive. There are a good range of cocktails that are well made - espresso martini highly recommended. That side of things would get 5 stars. The Food: To start I had cheese fondue croquettes. Sadly when I bit into the croquette, a greasy liquid that exploded all over my clothing - of course I should have used a knife and fork. They were made with a rather non-descript cheese and served with a honey dip. Usually a blue cheese, goats cheese or sharp feta would go well with a sweet sauce like this. The combo here didn't really work. I had a plant based Chkn open kebab for main. This would have been lovely but the mock chicken fillets really aren't good, they're very similar to (if not the same as) a brand of mock products sold in waitrose (in white packaging with large white letters). No doubt its my personal preference, but I find this particular line of products to have an underlying salty and chlorinated flavour. Besides this, the other bits in the wrap were fine and the flat bread was nice. Maybe the meat options are better. To accompany the wrap I had fries and I found them to be rather grease laden, as if they'd not quite landed on the fryer when it was hot enough. Overall I felt quite let down by the food. And others in my party, tried a range of dishes and were not impressed for how this restaurant is marketed. I think most of us felt a little short changed in terms of the quality vs cost. I too felt the food was a little on the high side for what arrived on the plate. I feel 3 stars is commensurate to the overall experience.

Booked Megan's for a friend's baby shower, had great service and they booked the 'flower room' for us. The food was amazing and they kept us stay way part our booking slot. Note they don't offer corkage fee if you are thinking of taking 'nosecco' for any pregnant friends.

We had lovely time here because the atmosphere is very cosy and warming. Our baby was well distracted with all the lights so we had opportunity to eat slowly ourselves which is precious for new parents!!! The waitress was amazing and food nice but a little on salty side. We enjoyed the coffee as well plus the place had good baby changing facilities. The only disappointment was that they don’t accept Amex which is inconvenience for us.

Megan’s has a great vibe. From the decor to the atmosphere generated by it always being full (when I’ve been), you will love this place! The seating plan is not overcrowded giving enough room to chat and catch up without listening in on the next person. And to top it both coffee and food is great. Final nail in the coffin for me, is dogs are welcome. If your looking for somewhere different, I’d highly recommend you get yourself down to Megan’s. Booking is definitely recommended.

It’s a new place, I believe that the staff is still adapting. The menu is interesting but the prices are confusing. We ordered a 3 salad plate and two chicken thighs and we were not sure how much was it. Food was good, I think it just needs a bit of time to get on their feet. Will come back another time. I can't even properly explain to you how amazing Megan's is. Not only is the food incredible and I mean INCREDIBLE but my friend, who's birthday it was, was made to feel so special by every singlw staff member. In fact the staff were fabulous generally anyway and each of them went out of their way to ensure everyone was properly greeted and looked after. Couldn't recommend enough. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with welcoming staff, however i am not impressed by the way allergies are handled. I have been here 4 times, each time letting the staff know about my allergies and getting their advice on what would be suitable for me, and each time I have been given something I am allergic to. It's a shame because the food looks very nice, and other people I have been with enjoyed their meal, but if you have any allergies I would steer clear.

Great brunch! Lovely menu with a good variety of choices. Service is great given how constantly busy the restaurant is. Only downside is that it’s so popular you have to book in advance or wait a while for a table at peaks times. We booked in advance this time and there was a slight mix up with the booking time, however the staff quickly found us a table and dealt with it in a very friendly and professional manner.

Incredible service, in particular 1 ( Spanish) waiter, don't know the name, was wearing a black facemask and a beige top. It's okay. Staff were friendly and waived the bill. Ordered scrambled egg on toast. It was quite basic and a small portion. Looked like just 1 egg and a small slice of bread. Expensive for what it was. Tea pot and cup were a little grubby, but fine after a little wipe. Not the worst experience ever but wouldn't rush back.

This is a really lovely place to meet in respect of the staff who are so friendly and genuinely helpful . It is also decorared beautifully and kept very clean . Since lockdown they have an app you download so they will contact you if someone becomes unwell with Coronavirus, which is exactly what it should be , so that makes you feel as safe as you can in these circumstances, also my age range is in the range where this virus becomes more serious . Altogether there was myself and two other friends . Two of us had open chicken kebab which we both thought was slightly too spicy for a kebab which was a shame because it was very tasty and the bread was very nice . The portion size also was good but our friend had scrambled egg on toast, the portion of egg was very small with the thinnest slice of bread l have ever seen . The serving of the eggs on such a large plate looked so bland as the portion was tiny and the toast on another plate looked like it should have been in the bin . I have been to Megans on many occasions as l only live around the corner . I have recommended it many times to people and would still do that because it is a nice eating out experience . These two friends had never been before . They did enjoy it but we laughed at the scrambled egg meal almost out of shock that such an easy meal was served so horrible , nothing about it looked like you could eat it . So good!! Me and my other 2 housemates went to Megan's for an aperitif before our dinner on Wednesday night and we couldn't be more happy about our choice! The cocktails were fabulous and the cheese balls accompanied with honey were a very nice discovery. We still dreaming about those. The layout of the restaurant is really pretty and all details are very accurate. Our waitress Sophie was absolutely brilliant and accommodating and she looked after us in a very professional way and made us feel very welcome. We will definetly go back to try their brunch menu soon.

I had bubbles which which was served at room temperature 1st glass drunk it, second too and then third was chilled but only because it was brought to their attention. Food was cold and tasteless. The waitress couldn't wait to get out. Thought it was quite not very busy my friend had to get up to get attention. My coffee was served cold Really disappointed ... Don't think I will be going back any time soon....

Megans has definitely become a favourite for brunch in Balham and surrounding area! The staff is always very friendly and attentive, and the food really tasty. We had a reservation which somehow disappeared from their system once, and didn't even have to wait at all to have another table, even though it was Saturday and super busy. We were even offered cake once because we had to switch tables with another group. Would definitely recommend!

Turned up and they had got the wrong email for large booking so couldn’t have xmas set menu. Communication wasn’t great between staff didn’t get drinks when ordered and was too late when they chased this up. However food was lovely and they did compensate by offering processo and deserts. Better to go in smaller group I think. Pretty atmosphere and very clean. It would be nice if they removed the service charge after the trouble but I’m sure in a smaller group the experience would have been different

Great food and fab service! I was served by Raine who was great and really attentive and as such I managed to stuff myself with far too much cake (not complaining!). Speaking of cake, the vegan pumpkin loaf is legendary - yumm. This place is always worth a visit, whether having a quiet coffee alone or dining with friends. I love it!

The only reason I’m not scoring it 5 is because of the over-spiced Bloody Mary’s (red hot ones with seeds so be warned) but they made it up to us with a pistachio-cookie dessert which was top notch!

My main purpose of the visit was to experience the dog friendly atmosphere for my blog and I have to say it’s great. If you have a larger dog the beds are on the small side so that’s something to keep in mind. They have beds, water bowls and treats, just politely let the staff know if your dog is on a particular feeding diet or has allergies before they hand out treats. Will be back and hopefully more dog owners will pay a visit !

Restaurant was around 3/4's full not a full test but was impressed. Drinks are good, food is...ok, good enough, although the Pork/Beef Kofta 'Open Kebab' is just dry meatballs with pita, so don;t order that. The lamb kebab was great though. 4 stars maybe a touch high, but the decor is awesome and when the windows are closed it seems likes a pretty nice place to spend the evening. Would recommend.

Love the decor at this place! With so few venues in Balham with outside space this summer, this genuinely feels like you're in a magical garden all year round. I've been once for an evening meal & cocktails which was super tasty, & again for lunch/coffee/cheeky cake. Both were great experiences. On both occasions we got chatting to neighbouring tables which to me means there is a welcoming and homely atmosphere with customers at ease and comfortable. Very inclusive with many buggies, pooches and yuppies all mixed together with none feeling out of place. It's pretty unique and will become a regular haunt for me for sure.

We had the Turkish cheese fondue (insane), spinach and garlic filo parcels (absolutely delicious) a Mezze platter each (one mixed grill with chicken shawarma, braised lamb and Turkish chorizo and one with cauliflower, falafel and vegan chorizo), both were huge with hummus, pickles, cous cous and delicious sauces, and the infamous Nutella and pistachio half baked cookie dough for dessert!! The food was outstanding but special shout out needs to go to Mehdi our waiter who was amazing, so attentive and super friendly - thank you!! Beautiful interior and very well decorated - we'll definitely be coming back!

Love the interior of this new restaurant in the heart of balham. The ceiling has a stunning rose display that I liked a lot. I was there for a bottomless brunch, for which they have a specific area at the back of the restaurant. This area felt a little bit "added on" as the vibe wasn't quite as nice and it was a lot noiser (to be expected I guess). That said the bottomless options were great, loved the bottomless Pimms! Half way through our meal (over an hour into the sitting), the outdoor sun shade was put out, reducing the glare, why this had not been done at the beginning when more than just ourselves were complaining baffles me. Service took forever, friendly, but very slow. The bloody mary was not great, warm tomato juice. The bill had more items on than it should have done, so paying and leaving took a long time too. Its a nice place, food is good, but the service let them down and the abrupt almost rude maitre d', does not entice me back.

The flatbread it is served with is to die for. Dinner was something else! The service was a lot smoother. I went for the posh lamb doner kebab, which is nothing like the kebab shop version. One of the best pieces of lamb I have ever had. The dining space is much more spacious and comfortable than any of the other spaces in Balham with some very nice decor. We will be back.

Unfortunately, it was let down by the lack of coffee options - for instance, both your competitors in Balham, Brother Marcus and Milk, offer a filter option in addition to espresso-based coffees.
