Reviews of Menya Ramen House
K. L. (.
Amazing Ramen (Got the Spicy Level which wasn't that Spicy) but anyway I enjoyed the flavour and taste was on point. One of the best in the UK so far! Dumplings were good but definitely not hand made in store which was kinda expected. Price wise average. Only thing was slightly inconvenient they said they were open at 12pm it's more like 12:15pm we were soo close to try out the Korean Restaurant/Take Away nearby. Would come and try the other ramen again!
K. U.
Really great ramen! Very tasty and a really nice selection of meat and vegetarian ramen and side dishes. Great comfort food in a good location near the British Museum. Felt like it had a home cooked family restaurant kind of vibe which is never a bad thing. Definitely would recommend.
M. K.
Unbelievably good little ramen spot. Broth is so delicious, rich and well seasoned. The pork is tender, the noodles the perfect firmness, the kimchi perfect and not too garlicky. I also had the pork gyoza and the dipping sauce and dumplings themselves were extremely well done.
My Whole family left feeling very satisfied and happy. Staff were very friendly even though they were EXTREMELY busy and under a lot of stress. The older gentleman went out of his way to make an amendment to my order and was very nice about it. I wish them well in their business.
S. M.
Amazing experience all around! Rich and packed full of flavour broth, fresh noodles your way, buttery pork and a few selections of appetizers. Beware, if you ask for spicy, it is truly spicy!!
G. N.
Unapologetically spicy and the better for it. The best place for Ramen in London without a shadow of doubt. Staff are always friendly too so well worth a visit. (Picture shows level 2)
x.
Great for a little pit stop. Deeply flavourful broth, perfectly cooked ramen, and friendly, speedy service to boot. Seconds away from the British museum.
G.
Had the gyoza ramen with side of Kimchi. Everything was nice indeed! Best ramen restaurant in London ever. Definitely recommendable
W. H. L.
Good bowl of ramen, but be warned if you're looking for an ultra rich and fatty tonkotsu broth, this is not the place for it.
Their broth is more clean tasting than say Ippudo's or Kanada Ya which is a good thing in its own right, if that's what you're looking for
A. R.
The ramen was good, but frankly fell short of expectations. Kimchi was crunchy and delicious, while gyodza, simmered, but not seared, were fairly average. The place is cash only. I was also a bit confused by the lack of an option to add extra chasu pork to my ramen, which was also refused when I asked for it off menu.
S. Z.
One of the best ramen places in London. Everything tastes good. Cash only business.
W. B.
We chose here just because we want to have ramen instead of other Japanese dishes. Ordered one miso ramen with extra noodle and one karai level 2 spicy ramen. Chashu tastes good and did try the miso soup before spicy ramen that tastes good as well. But karai ramen soup just tastes fair that we felt like the tongue with chilli powder and soup separately. Anyway nice staff and nice food, will try other spicy ramen during next visit.
C. L. L.
Amazing ramen joint 1 min away from the British Museum . Polite staff, excellent food and good ramen. The chashu pork was charred to perfection with amazing taste, broth was not too thick yet rich and creamy and the hard noodles I ordered was just nice. The original tonkatsu Menya ramen was £10.50 . The chef personally served the ramen and even came out to ask each patron if the food was alright. . Would definitely recommend.
O.
Decided to experiment so ordered Kimchi Ramen + Seafood Ramen. As a result, felt more like we were eating kimchi soup + seafood soup, rather than ramen, which we didn’t really expect or enjoy.
*UPDATE*
Greatly appreciate the restaurant owner’s kind response to this critical review. We did end up coming back and trying the more original Menya Ramen, which was pretty good!
S. H.
Overall not bad, tonkotsu broth could be improved by being more 'silky' (more collagen needed). Free water although you need to help yourself and annoyingly cash only although there is a cash point around the corner.
S. I.
Absolutely great ramen, the broth was amazing. The table was nice a quick with a cosy environment.
L. B.
My favourite spot for ramen in London - it's nothing fancy, and the inside's always steaming, but the food is delicious and I've never been disappointed. A great place to come for a laid back dinner with friends. I recommend opting to go 'spicy' if you're a fan of heat - for a vegetarian, this is achieved by tossing all the ingredients in chilli oil so the resulting dish comes out a fiery orange colour (which might stain your face, be warned!).
A. N.
Delicious Ramen tonight. Cranked up the spice to level 3 despite the warnings. As suspected, it is spicy, but enjoyable and was done just right.
J. K.
You can taste Really genuine Japanese Ramen. (Noodel soup) The cost feels little expensive than franchise Asian food chain. But this restaurant is worth to pay for due to its special taste. Don't regret!
S. C.
Had the Sundubu ramen it was rich, smooth good flavour, not oily and not too hot in spicyness. Make sure you stop by ATM before as Menya ramen is Cash only.
K. W.
Having lived in Japan and many other countries in the world, I'd say the ramen is alright. The chashu and soup was good, the ramen itself was so-so. The problem was really the dumplings (gyoza). They looked absolutely like steamed Chinese dumplings, whereas gyoza is always, always pan fry. These dumplings were served with chilli sauce like you would see from a dim sum joint. I asked for rice vinegar (so I could at least make my own sauce with soy sauce), the waitress shot us a dirty look like I just made the biggest joke on earth. Then she dropped off a bottle of white vinegar from Tesco 😯. I insisted politely it's rice vinegar we need or dark vinegar would do. She actually snapped back with a horrendous attitude saying "This isn't a Chinese place ok? We don't serve dumplings with vinegar". Seriously, the Japanese won't serve their dear gyoza steamed with Szechuan chilli sauce either?!?! I will never go back. Actually there is an Ippudo ramen joint a couple of blocks away, I would rather go there and have my real ramen and gyoza (cheaper as well).

Cute little restaurant near The British Museum.
The food here was honestly so good! The cost of the food is on the more expensive side but so worth it because it's delicious.
The customer service is also really good. The staff are so friendly and helpful.
The only thing is, sometimes their card machine doesn't work. So it's recommended to take cash with you to pay. If not, there are ATMs close by.
D. M.
This place is it. Best ramen in London 💯
There is something about the broth that takes puts it above the rest.
As if that wasn’t enough, the Gyoza were also the best I’ve had.
R. L.
The best ramen in London is back! We love this place: the food and service are always perfect and it is such a wonderful experience. It was cash only when we visited: there aren’t any cash points around so they let us pay by bank transfer, but try to take cash with you when you go if you can.
A. G.
Amazing vegan ramen. Deffiantly would recommend if you're in the area. Also the homemade kimchi was delicious!!
B. B.
This is with no questioning one of the best ramen places I've ever been in.
Incredibly tasteful, carefully prepared and not heavy in the stomach at all.
The attention is also worth mentioning, as all the people working there was really nice to us during the entire dinner.
Definitely a must if you are looking for ramen in London.
D. M.
Food is good, prices are more than acceptable. Staff is nice and helpful if you don't know what to eat. Not outstanding but definitely good place to eat and chat with friends.
B.
I frequent a lot of ramen places in London, but hadn't heard of this place until recently as it doesn't have much of a web presence. It's a really good find. Located right near the British museum but hardly a tourist trap, it's minimalist and cosy inside. Menu is very well priced and they offer both a tonkotsu and vegetarian broth, plus you can choose your spice level and noodle hardness (I always go for extra hard.) We tried the tonkotsu miso ramen and the tonkotsu Kara miso ramen (spice level 1, plenty spicy enough for us!), plus a side of kimchi and a tamago mini don. The broth was rich, savoury and very porky and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The chashu pork was quite fatty, but very good if you like that sort of thing. I left so full and satisfied. The kimchi is also excellent; it's house made and very spicy.
J. K.
Quaint place with ramen done very nicely. Tried the original and the spicy seafood.
The original has a very balanced flavour, tasty broth with a chunk of pork (I think braised with vinegar and soy). Noodles themselves were springy with a firm bite. Excellent overall.
The spicy seafood tasted a bit more one-dimensional however. I might not order this again.
The venue was nice and clean. Excellent service. However the seating towards the back smelled rather musty. A well-placed ventilation fan should do the trick though.
Would visit again!
R. S.
Delicious food, fantastic service (kindness goes such a long way), and a groovy, unique atmosphere and design.
Ν. Μ.
Amazing ramen, exceptional taste, highly recommended. For the brave, try Kara Miso Ramen with step 3 spiciness and you won't regret it...
정.
AMAZING Ramens I've ever tried in London. The broth is rich and savory, chasu are wonderful, noodles and egg on top are soft. In addition, the point is kimchi. It's the best authentic kimchi. Don't miss it if you like!
D. C.
Other than lack of drinks selection, healthier than the likes of coke, sprite type stuff, this is a great ramen place. Fresh and flavoursome.
E. F.
We came here for lunch and found a lovely little restaurant run efficiently and diligently and serving probably the best ramen I've had in years. We had the seafood ramen which included half a crab, a mussel, a couple of prawns, some squid, half a boiled egg, some nori, some mushrooms and of course the broth and noodles. At 13 and a half pounds it was well worth it. The regular ramen is £9.5.
Highly recommend this place.
And they have A/C! In summer in London this is no trivial affair!
O. M.
The ramen was full of flavor, and the portion size was decent. Highly recommended!
S. Z.
Really good and spicy ramen! Cute place too.
K. W.
Looks amazing, very good noodles (order hard), but unfortunately broth had a very flat taste, nothing more than spiciness. I will stick to other ramen bars in London.
T. D.
Simple but excellent ramen menu with some vegan options. Hard and extra hard noodles available. Just a few yards from the British Museum so a very handy lunch spot.
O. L. M.
Excellent ramen, efficient but lovely service and a very convenient location near the British museum. We will be back!
D. T.
Wow really good!
I tried lots of tonkotsu ramen places in London and almost all of them is way too salty! Menya Ramen is thankfully not like that. It is very cute inside and the staff friendly and polite. I will certainly be coming back again soon. I am so happy i found amazing ramen place in London now 😄😄
M. W.
Fantastic ramen made with pork bone broth. Utterly delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Vegetarian options also on the menu.
S. v. d. B.
Went on a weekday with a friend and the waiters were really nice and the food was delicious. There’s a veggie and vegan option but even though there isn’t many choices in the menu the food was delicious. Very cosy and cute environment. Highly recommended for anyone who fancies some ramen on a cold day.
T. F.
A simple, lovely, mum and pop, ramen gem tucked away in a tiny shop.
The broth is very flavoursome but not overpowering; you can taste all the little bits in the bowl. The tofu is one of the lightest, most delicate I’ve ever tried. The boiled egg is properly seasoned and the pork could be a dish of its own.
Seriously good.
H.
This is a really really lovely place. The interior and ambience is friendly and pretty. The fact that there are two vegan options is great. The vegan shoyu ramen that I tried was delicious. The broth was just perfect, and it came with a generous amount of tofu. The noodles were also perfect. There is also a vegan miso ramen available, which of course I need to try next time.
Update: Tried the vegan miso ramen now too, it's fantastic.
K. S.
Tasty ramen, and we tried ramen in many places. Also ceramics - cups, bowls, teapots, sake bottle - look authentic Japanese. Feels like a family run cosy place.
S. F. H.
Unassuming interior but absolutely delicious seafood ramen. You can taste from the soup stock it has been prepared over long hours. Fresh juicy shrimps and crab. Very courteous and hospitable staff
R. H.
Wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was soul soothing good. The best ramen I have ever had. I was able to pay with my card. Would definitely recommend. When I am back here, I will look this place up again.
I had the seafood ramen. The two others with me had Kimchee ramen and Gyoza ramen. We shared broth tastes with each other and I would have been satisfied with any of them. We were even able to get kimchee on the side by request. Everything was absolutely the best.
C. L.
The rice balls are lovely, I haven’t have spicy food for a while, the spicy rice ball is a bit spicy to me, but just lovely.
The miso soup is great, with much seaweed, mushrooms and big tofu.
The boss and the lady are friendly, homemade kimchi is amazing.
It’s a divine dinner, with really affordable price.
Thank you a million.
m. C.
I do love this places. Super cozy, friendly and I was welcomes with warm smiles as usual.‼️Highly recommend all menus ‼️Try best New Pork Chashu ‼️

Great Ramen and good service. The portions were the right size for a lunch too.
The meat was exceptionally tasty and the broth was perfect. In my opinion the best broth at a Ramen place in central London.
Keep it up Menya !!
N. D. R.
Their seafood ramen is the best seafood ramen I’ve ever had! Absolutely delicious and great service, would definitely recommend!
K. L.
Decent ramen - tonkotsu isn't super authentic but it's pretty good.
Cash only, service is good as well
G. G.
very good seafood and miso ramen! We found this reataurant thanks to queue at Kanada-ya We will come back! No queue and much better with taste
M. B.
UMMMMMM so the KIMCHI here...
if you are referring to the cabbage itself, as in the name of Chinese cabbage, yeah okay. I get that, but that explanation can be misleading in diff ways considering its Asian restaurant? Maybe put Korean dish in somewhere or sth??
M.
Lovely charsu ramen! It's right round the corner from the British museum, but it wasn't full of people , at least not at late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday.
Ordered the Menya ramen with extra soft tofu. The broth was nice and not greasy. The noodles were firm, had the regular although you can order different firmness. The charsu was delicious. Love eggs and no fault there. The tofu was very soft and silky smooth, it was unexpected!
Overall a very good bowl of ramen.
S. L.
Very delicious ramen with amazing rich flavour and friendly staff! My favourite is the sundubu ramen and I keep coming back for it. Kimchi is also super tasty as it’s homemade. Will recommended anyone who likes ramen to visit.
K. U.
delicious! the best gyozas I ever had! 😍
S. B.
Delicious ramen - rich but refined tonkotsu broth. Tasty kimchi and gyoza too.
D. P.
Really friendly and generous service. Great ramen, including both the vege broth and traditional broth.
E. L.
Great independent ramen house is back! Excellent service and great food.
Broth is tasty, charshu is blowtorched so it’s crisp, noodles are springy.
K. C.
Great experience, very rich and creamy ramen. Tasted amazing and the service was very friendly, polite and quick! Definitely would come again :3
G. K.
Very tasty ramen. Very polite staff. Good-looking bathroom.
S. T.
Lovely little Ramen House, staff was friendly. The Ramen was really yummy and most importantly, my kids love it so much they already said they wanted to come back for more! Big compliment to the chef😁
V. R.
Very tasty ramen and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. As far as I understood it is a family business.
The only thing I would recommend is cards acceptance. For tourists it is sometimes difficult to have cash.
A. H.
I had its signiture menya ramen as the server recommended. It was so delicious and made me warm on the rainy freezing day. Especially, the creamy broth was super rich and the Chashu, which is braised pork belly was tender, succulent and savory. I assume there is no MSG in the soup. With reasonable price and proper portion, it was absolutely worth it!! If you are around British museum, go for it :))
D. B.
Great traditional ramen place, very accurate spicy meter, so watch out when ordering very spicy. Tasty broth, great noodles, a must for all museum goer ramen fans.
P. P.
Not a bad place for a quick ramen next to The British Museum. Not the tastiest I ever had, but was alright.
R. T.
Excellent ramen!
We also had the gyoza side which was very good.
T. O.
I can see why some ppl think this ramen broth is too light. You have to add salt yourself if you prefer stronger Taste. I don’t really appreciate the chashu dove this way, very Chinese way not Japanese style in my opinion. However, Service really good
A. D.
Sadly they had a power cut when I last went to eat here so I wasn't able to eat there, but it's a usual haunt for me during lunch as I work close by. It's one of my favourite places in the local area.
K. N. H.
I super love their ramen here! Try it!!
E. E.
If you want to enjoy ramen this is a good little place. Most ramen places don't have vegetarian soup base.. this place gives u an option on veggie broth and i combined mine with seafood...
C. P.
Great ramen house, small menu but the food is delicious and really friendly staff! The pickles are excellent with beer or sake
g. c.
Amazing Ramen and Kimichi the owners and staff are very kind and welcoming thanks for the great experience!!!
S. V. S.
Good break for a ramen break near the British museum. They have 8 types of Ramen at good prices and some Dons as sides. simple, friendly
L. V.
The restaurant ran from 12:00pm on Sunday. We were about the first 3 tables of the day, but we were informed that the preparation of food could take more than 20-30 mins. The waitress despite showed slightly lack of patience but at least she was kind enough to tell us that it may take awhile for the food to arrive.
The decor is simple but stylish. The location is only 1 mins away from the British Museum. A lot of tourists come here for lunch. The restaurant stressed that their pork and chicken bone broth boiled for 48 hours, I wasn’t too sure about this. The seafood ramen was not authentic but nice.
A. N.
Not a bad bowl of ramen but that’s about it. Expected better food based on the reviews. The portion size was good.
V. K.
It looked closed for good the last time I tried going there. Luckily, it's back. Delicious ramen, lovely service, reasonable prices, it's all there. And it's a cute, cozy place.
K. C.
Ramen lunch, somehow they had a sign mentioning cash only.
I had to go around 3 mins walk to get cash from the cash machine next to currency exchange.
I'm vegetarian so only 2 options, i picked the miso.
Tofu was silky. I asked for soft noodles. I still can't tell the differences between the noodle hardness.
The soup was not very salty so it was good.
I had extra noodles.
Maybe the tonkotsu base would have been better.
But as far as miso ramen good, i would say it is pretty good due to it not being very salty.
G. S.
Absolutely delicious food and good service. The spices silken tofu ramen was sensational! Highly recommend.
H. S.
We tried the shoyu and miso ramen, it was amazing, the tofu was great. We had a side order of edamame seasoned with salt really made it pop, the kimchi was fantastic. I got an egg as extra and it was super creamy. Recommend this place amazing veg/vegan options.
A. G.
I'd imagine that a noodle bar in Japan is just like this - really good miso.
Z. M.
Great ramen, ask what drinks cost beforehand though. It was also cash only when we were there.
T. B. H.
Nice designed place. They have veggie ramens as well (the miso one was great!) and a very nice staff!
S. R.
I had kimchi ramen, amazing. Price is normal for that type of food (about 10/12). The service is great, they are very nice.
C. G.
This place is great- friendly staff, very clean place, and amazing food. I got the Gyoza Ramen and have already gone twice in one week. Definitely recommend this place!
S.
I just finished to eat the Menya Ramen, with chashu pork, soft boiled egg, kikurage mushroom and spring onions. It tastes great and with extra chashu is even better! :P
Worth a try!
B. M.
Hands-down the best ramen I've ever eaten! Friendly staff, at a quaint little restaurant. My only criticism is that the seats aren't too comfortable, could use an update. But other than that, I love this place, and will definitely come again~
S. o.
Super tasty would definitely recommend the vegan miso noodle option! Also get it with the green tea! Staff are very friendly! 🍜
T. B.
Nipped in for a quick bite. Authentic, mega tasty and relaxing. Very few words, just nods for acknowledgments. Crab was a little difficult to eat. Well nice though.
P.
Cute little ramen restaurant with great service. Soup base were salty.
B.
Amazing creamy hot tasty Ramen. Very good location too 😍
M. K.
Fantastic ramen, great service. One star less for being cash only place. Guys it’s 21 century!
S.
Very good Ramen especially on cold evenings and very reasonable prices.
N. C.
Amazing ramen! Lovely atmosphere, staff were friendly and accommodating. Cash only
B. S.
Best ramen I’ve had in London yet, and I’ve been to at least 5 places. Very authentic. Go here!
D. C.
My very first ramen and I am happy with this one. The pork could be a bit bigger, though, but everything was good to me.
R. L.
Simple menu but very tasty authentic Japanese ramen
T. T.
Good place for a ramen fix after a walk around the museum. Thick and tasty broth, tender pork with a nice sweetness to it.
이.
Really nice ramen with tasty broth. Located close to the British museum and clean restaurant.
E. T.
Best ramen even!❤️
Amazing costumer service!❤️
G. F.
I went there for lunch and had a delicious ramen and a very tasty green tea.
The service was quick and nice.
And there are vegetarian options available. :)
Definitely worth a visit!
d.
Lovely food. Nice staff. The delicious aftertaste of the menya ramen I ordered lasted for ages! So tasty
E. K.
Delicious ramen full of flavour and freshness. The place is cozy and very clean. And the service is attentive and full of humour! Really enjoyed our dinner and definitely recommend.
M. D.
Great. A cut above london ramen franchises. Seafood ramen is hard to do well but was delicious here.
이.
Good taste. Better location. Kind service. It is worthwhile visiting more times
W. J.
It was okay. Staff was nice. Homemade noodles are a huge plus. When I did not like is that there is way too much similarity between all the dishes. I was not too thrilled about my own ramen bowl, not an issue of quality (it was well prepared) simply not agreeable to my pallet. My wife and kids were happier with their own bowls.
C. D. L.
Excellent Korean style ramen spot, quite different to the typical Tonkotsu style ramen that is so popular across London. I really enjoy how the broth is not as thick & fatty with more emphasis on spice with added seafood options. Great portion sizes & super good value for money. Service has always been great for me too - there's no service charge & it's cash only!
k. l.
Authentic Raman house nearby! A lovely place to meet friends or eat alone. The staff there are soooo kind and helpful~
A. S.
Lovely restaurant in a lovely spot. Friendly owners and staff. Had the vegan miso ramen and really loved it. Can't wait to visit and try the Shoyu vegan ramen! Will visit again soon, thank you.
I. H.
Extremely good value for money here. Their Seafood Ramen is the highlight in this regard, with a generous serving of crab and prawns uncommon among comparable options in London. Vegetarian Ramen is relegated to an easily missed side menu, despite being a real gem filled with deliciously soft (homemade?) tofu. Tamago side comes with a characteristic, well-balanced sweet-ish flavour; highly recommended! Overall my favourite bowl of noodles in Central.
E. S.
Perfect noodles, perfect broth but portions a bit small
V. B.
Small menu but amazing ramen. Good place to have lunch after visiting the museum!!
G. R.
WOW!!! Took me back to Japan...best Ramen I’ve ever had in all of Europe, thank you for taking me back!!
J. P.
Great ramen. Starts off smooth and simple, builds and changes flavour throughout!
D. G.
This spot did the best Ramen and now theyre doing the best rice balls, the new menu comes with a really tasty selection some of which I still need to try! Highly recommend their soups, which never disapoint. Overall best spot to grab a quick bite or have a proper sit down whilst enjoying the museum street views !
A. C.
This place is dope! Eat there, they know what they are doing, great food.
S. L.
Great ramen for a decent price near the museum. I spent two months in Japan and this feels like I was back there eating Ramen.
A. A.
Incredible and authentic food, reasonable prices, lovely staff - if you like spicy food, go Level 3! You will love it!
N. D.
Really good Ramen. And even though they don't serve Japanese pickles, upon asking they got me some. That to me is providing service beyond their reach. Had the Miso Ramen. The broth was beautiful and the pork pretty much melted in my mouth which I've never experienced before.
l. t.
I had the chicken and cheese rice ball, hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Their japchae roll was also really good, with a lot of noodles inside the wrap. Will come again to try other types of rice balls!
M. S.
It's a little restaurant, tucked away near the British museum. With a short, unpretentious menu, simple seating and attentive staff it seems to be perfect for a tasty lunch. And it is. Lovely rich bowls of ramen, steaming hot and gloriously tasty. The kimchi was very good (and spicy), the hot noodles were zingy with chili.
One note, it's cash only. But don't let this stop you from trying the food. We will be back there again.
J. K.
Only ok. It’s kinda bland and rather salty. Great price though
P. A.
Simply a wonderful ramen shop. Go there if you love fish, soup and noodles!
A. K.
Walked past this store and decided to give it a go with my Girlfriend. Came here on a Sunday night at 7pm.
Immediately shown to a table by a very polite waitress (she was kind enough to seat us away from the entrance to avoid the cold!). She was very attentive, courteous, and pleasant.
I ordered the Menya Ramen with extra noodles. The portions were value for money (I didn’t have lunch that day but still felt full after the meal). My Girlfriend got the chashu don, which looked small but was filling as she had a late lunch. Taste wise, it was great!
Will definitely come back here again and will recommend it to my friends.
D. F.
Ordered the Menya ramen - expectations were high from the reviews I read. Overall it tasted alright, broth was not as deep or rich as other ramen I’ve had so if you prefer something lighter you may like this one. The cha shu is nice, would have enjoyed it more if noodles were piping hot in the soup. Would recommend eating only if you’re in the area.
G. T.
we went for a gyoza ramen and seafood ramen. really good value for the price!
gyoza ramen is delicate, so if you’re a lover of deep taste broth, don’t choose it, I liked it!
Seafood ramen delicious! The handmade noodle on both dishes really nice!
I don’t understand why there are several complaints about the staff, they are fast, smiling and nice!
def recommended
J. B.
Awesome food. They do ramen and they do it beautifully. Can't ask for more than that.
J. O.
I ate udon and tuna mayo rice ball
It was beautiful tasty
They said all home made food
I can’t wait to eat another day😋
C. G.
Amazing vegetarian noodle soup. Staff is really nice and the food is amazing
M. L.
Very authentic ramen. Lovely and tasty.
A. J.
Very good ramen with vegetarian options! Nice and spicy as well
I. S.
My third time here. I've had three different ramens here now, all delicious. This is a lovely little oasis, very reasonable and delicious. Today I ate seafood ramen which came with a fabulous dressing of fresh seafood. Very good indeed.
J. S.
The best ramen i have ever had in my life. It had roast pork in it that must have been slow cooked for 24 hrs. It fell apart when i touched it with chopstics. The pork had this incredible glaze. The egg was runny in the middle. I ordered the spicy one ramen and it was satisfying hot. The broth was fabulous with some really interesting flavours. i did not want it to end! Presentation was great.Try this place. So so good.
A. M.
Great ramen with tons of flavor!
We went here for lunch right after visiting the British Museum. It's a small restaurant with some seats outside and several inside. They have several traditional options and spicy ramen offerings.
I ordered the kimchi ramen with pork and my husband got the traditional ramen. The pork is to die for! The ramen comes with a good size piece of pork that is tender and falls apart, adding great flavor to your bowl. The kimchi in mine added some spiciness and zing. The noodles are nice although not homemade. The broth is silky and flavorful and I couldn't finish it all!
The prices here are also affordable at around 11 Euros. The service is friendly too!
S. 1.
Incredibly nice and at a great price.
Super tasty ramen and broth for the spicy lovers and not so lovers aswell.
A small restaurant to stop by for sure.
J.
Went here, surpassed all expectations. Wonderful food, very friendly service. Would highly recommend you try it.

Delightful ramen experience for me and my wife, it was our anniversary dinner, at this cosy spot opposite the British Museum. Both of us went for the seafood ramen with hard noodles and spice level 3. Unfortunately they had run out of the yakitori so we were not able to try the starters.
The food arrived very quickly and just as we were tucking in to our meal we were asked to move tables because ours was a 4 seater and a group of 6 had just arrived then. We of course moved with no complaints because we wanted to get on with our meal while it was hot! The chef was extremely kind and came over to our table to apologise and also offered drinks on the house which we honestly did not have to - thank you!
The soup itself was an earthy seafood broth which was just perfect for a cold winter night. The seafood was beautifully cooked (except the crab which could have been cooked a bit more in my opinion) and the noodles were bouncy and firm in the mouth. Delighted!
I would come back again and definitely promote this establishment ahead of the other chain ramen joints in London.
Thank you Menya Ramen for a lovely anniversary dinner.
J. B.
Recommend the delicious sundubu ramen (pictured). The menya broth was bland in comparison.
A. T.
Just had the Kimchi Ramen. Great mix of flavors. Noodles firm, soup base tasty, and Kimchi tastes Korean. Friendly service. Only downside is they take only cash. But free cash machine 5mins away.
N. K.
Absolutely amazing vegan ramen options - run to this place. The veggie ramen and the miso ramen are both not to be missed. Go spend a few hours at the nearby British Museum and then, when hungry, descend on this tiny authentic Japanese spot for ramen the way it was meant to be had. Heartwarmingly wonderful.
A. H.
Friendly staff and excellent ramen. The menu is kept simple and there is really a choice of pork, seafood or vegetable ramen. The ramens can also be either spicy or mild, miso based or soya based. Keeping it simple seems to work and we enjoyed a relaxing lunch and fabulous green tea, after a morning at the British Museum.

This japanese ramen restaurant, apparently opened a few days ago, is well worth a check. The soup is not salty or too complex, it has a very deep flavour and decent amount of food for its price. They also do different hardness of noodles and different stages of spice which is different from other ramen restaurants.
I ordered the gyoza and my partner ordered the seafood soft tofu, both delicious but for people who cannot eat spicy, I recommend the gyoza! And there was no service charge!
A. T. L.
The broth is real , there is no paste just pure ingredients and patience! Totally recommend !!!
L. A.
Highly recommended ! Absolutely amazing !
The food is always perfect and the staff always on point ! If you are near British Museum, this place is a must .
I keep on going back and always surprised by the lovely taste !
N. X.
Delicious ramen, very good and clean restaurant.
F. J. L. A.
Good value for money ramen in near the British Museum.
K. A. W.
The most delicious Ramen I've ever had, well worth the price. 2 V options. The restaraunt is pretty simple and barely any starters, so that's their style, service was fine
M. B.
I went yesterday to try out Menya Ramen House and they didn't have any vegetarian options on the menu. When I asked them, they said come tomorrow. I went back today and true to their word, they had 2 vegetarian options for me! But most importantly, the ramen tasted great. I will definitely go back again and hopefully they will keep the veggie ramens on the menu.
B. C.
Amazing food! Seafood sundubu ramen was bomb! Very rich broth, adjustable noodle hardness and broth spiciness. Worth a try! *Not vegetarian friendly though.
J. C.
One of the best bowls ramen I’ve had in London. Rich and delicious broth, subtle but not TOO subtle. Bring cash. Not a lot of extras but they aren’t needed.
J. B.
This is the best ramen I’ve ever had! We had miso ramen and veggie miso ramen and it was mouthwatering delicious. The staff is lovely and friendly and they take pride in their ramen art. 10/10. Cannot recommend this enough!
S. W.
Best ramen you can get in London!!!
Awesome chef who cares about the customers. Clean and nice restaurant environment. Would recommend to anyone! Definitely worth a visit!
C. G.
Best Ramen I've tasted and not expensive
M. C.
One of the best Ramen places I've been to in London.
A. K.
Went on a Wednesday night, pretty quiet but cosy. I didn’t get what I ordered and when we asked to change it I got told it’s what I ordered. Couldn’t be bothered to kick off so I ate it and paid. I sides on that day either. My friend had the fish ramen which was nice, my pork one was ok.
G. H.
A hidden gem and definitely the best ramen in London. A very short walk from Covent Garden and there likely wont be a massive queue!
C. C.
Great ramen. My husband had the seafood one which was great but spicy, I had the gyoza one which was yummy. One thing to note is hat they only serve ramen, so no other options on the menu. Definitely recommend going!
F. D.
My second time I had Ramen in London, the first experience was good, this one was slightly better. I can recommend it. The Prices are ok. Tastes very well.
O. I.
The food was nice and the service was quick. Also fairly inexpensive. However, the ramen broth is very thin and not as flavoursome as other places in London
W. C.
Broth not very intricate. Noodles are fine but just average. Comfy place to sit down and no line at 230pm Sunday. Ultimately, wouldn't come back again though bc the ramen was just ok.
S. P.
Not what you get exactly on the streets of Tokyo but ticked the boxes. Home-made ramen with good solid bite; and rich silky broth. Not as salty as normally can be. A filling chunk of char sui pork as opposed to the sometimes meagre slice. Even though Nitamago (ramen egg) yoke was tasty there was room for improvement here.
M.
Excellent food and tea. Quite unexpected in Central London
E. V.
It is not bad but there are other better ramen places in London. Will recommend seafood ramen as spicy and warming rather than classical one which was quite plane.
P. G.
Fantastic ramen. Had the medium spiced seafood ramen. Great. Atmosphere basic but ticked all the boxes. Please add card payment facility.
P. G.
Amazing food and service. Definitely one of the best Ramen in London.
P. B.
Hands down the best chashu I've ever had in my life. The guioza is also wonderful. If you enjoy a good ramen this place is a must. The staff were very friendly and the price is very good too!
M.
Great ramen 🍜 friendly service
L. B.
The spicy shoyu ramen was delicious 😋
L. W.
Best Ramen in the area, with the owner/chef Yoeongkee making my experience extra special. Really recommend this place for anyone walking past the British Museum.
K.
Great food and very fast ! I recommend
M. B.
Best ramen I've had in a long time great atmosphere and amazing to watch through the open passe truly amazing spicy ramen that saved my soul while I was severely hungover 15/10 will be back again
A. T.
Really nice place. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and comes out really fast. The area is also lovely.
K.
the best ramen in london. Amazing soup with soft and flavorful chashu. Highly recommendable for locals and tourists. Nice atmosphere as well.
C. L.
Fantastic food and service. Short walk from the museum. Well worth dining here for lunch. There was very little waiting time for food. This is like a slice of Tokyo in London.
S. D.
On a cold winter day, a hot bowl of soup 🍲
C. L.
Its a great place with really good food! The waitress is polite and you get a free glass of water. My next time in London is with a visit in this restaurant!
D. L.
I have not found any other ramen place in London that compares. Menya has delicious and many spicy options.
e.
Wow their ramen is delicious! Very unpretentious place where you can relax, right next to the British Museum but avoiding all the crowds.
C. R.
Great little ramen house. Very authentic. Small range of food done really well. Lovely friendly people. Really good value.
I. M.
These are just great Ramen! I wish they had a few more authentic beverages, but the food is amazing
P. M.
We loved the ramen here, was craving Sundubu and that's what I got. The seafood ramen was v good as well. Thank you Menya!
R. A.
tasty ramen, ok prices. cash only but ATMs nearby. less traditional Japanese style, more Korean influences. worth visiting
D. N.
It's a great place for a quick bite. The mild ramen tastes great. It's simple and traditional.
S.
great ramen! Definitely on the level of the Japanese original.
Spicy is not spicy enough, but besides that, just perfect
J. G. S.
We have tried a lot of ramen places and this one is definitely one of the best ramen we have ever had. Thanks to the team we had a lovely lunch
A. K.
Best Ramen place in London, friendly service with good food.
R.
Very friendly staff, great vibe. A simple, authentic ramen restaurant - the kimchi ramen was exceptional.
B. G.
Good quality for the price, and not too expensive despite being tourist territory. A bowl of good ramen for £9-10, with friendly and prompt staff.
I. Q. C.
I don't know how the food is, but I do have to thank their staff for being the most amazing people EVER. My friend, who is on a wheelchair (half paralyzed) needed a bsthroom to go to and the pub we were into had thwir bathros upstairs . It was clearly an emergency (i mean, he reslly needed to pee, like everyone else in this world), so we headed outside to find a place that could have a bathroom where he could go to. We tried 4 different places, all of them were about to close (included Starbucks) and did not even try to listen to us or help us in any way. Desperatly, we tried Menya, not only they let us go to the bathroom without hestitation (even if they were about to close), my friend did not fit right with his wheelchair and they DISMOUNTED THE BATHROOM DOOR to help him in. It was the kindest, most amazing gesture they could have had.I know it may sound stupid if you are reading this, but it means a lot to us, specially to my friend, who encounters many disadvantages in this world everyday. THANK YOU KINDLY.
L. T.
Great small ramen place next to the British Museum. We stopped there for a lunch break. Great food and quick service! Loved this small place.
W. Y.
Amazing cosy ramen spot that hasn’t been open for all that long! My personal go-to has definitely been their kimchi ramen.
A. M.
Decent bowl of ramen, very steamy inside though. Maybe the ventilation was off when I went, but it ended being quite unpleasant because of the air.
I. I.
They have two kind of vegetarian ramen. It was delicious. The staff was nice. Only cash!!
M. S.
Excellent, tasty, quick. Really good ramen and lovely experience. We will be back!
l. f.

The best ramen ever. You feel like you have crossed a portal to a new dimension. A moment earlier I was in London, a moment later in Asia. A traditional ramen house, delicious food and friendly staff. I loved it.

L'ho amato.

(Translated) I liked the Google reviews so much that I went in anticipation, but it was really really delicious! My boyfriend is a foreigner, so I was worried that it would be too spicy, so I told him to give me kimchi separately, so I got it. It was like a kimchi soaked in London. It was like soaked kimchi. Awesome... I wanted to eat rice with rice right away. Yong's boyfriend sipping water after renting money, but it was a decent amount of spicy that was just appetizing for Koreans!
It's Cash only, but when I asked it, I made a bank transfer because it was possible to transfer the deposit.
.
I expected that the food will be nice cause i saw a lot of positive google reviews, and it was more than nice!
I was worrying that if it’ll too spicy to my boyfriend, she said she can give kimchi separately.
And kimchi tasted so good it tasted like proper kimchi that i’ve never tried in London.
My boyfriend (spanish) started to drink water after eat 3 spoons but it was just great spicy level for me (korean)
I saw cash only sign on the till but i could transfer.
1000% want to come again

(Translated) It is a shop located in the alley right in front of the main entrance of the British Museum, so it would be good to eat before and after viewing. Highly recommended for those who like clean and deep soup. Personally, I feel dizzy when I eat all the donkotsu ramen from other stores, but there is no such symptom in ramen here. If you order the basic menya ramen, you can get Dongpayuk with chashu.
(Original)

(Translated) I can't remember the name, but I'll add a picture of the ramen I ate. It was a much better ramen than the ramen I had in Japan. It's even better than most Japanese ramen restaurants in Korea.
I like meat, so I usually add chashu, but this place puts a large chunk of chashu.
The texture of the noodles is good and the soup is savory, so I wanted to roll it up with rice and eat it.
I had a brief chat with the manager of Gantora during the opening hours, and he takes great pride in his food.
From the method of making the broth, I was able to see that he made protein and delicious ramen with great care.
I was anxiously asked if I thought it would work well in Korea, but I assure you. I think it will work out in Korea too!

(Translated) When I came out of the British Museum and saw it by accident, it was like a big rice ball when I hit it in Korean style. It's a simple food without a big deal. Me and my child ate Bulgogi and tuna.
Bulgogi is especially good for the taste of choding, so I added one more child
We also had mini udon, but it tastes different from Korea. I enjoyed it.
The price is also good.
Later, I came to look at the Google Maps, I saw that before was the ramen house.

(Translated) The amount of rice balls is really high and the prices are reasonable for eating in London. Udon soup is different from what I eat in Korea. I ate a drug called gimbap in Korea and it's really delicious. If you're hungry, I'd recommend you to try it on the side Anyway, it's delicious !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Translated) There are many people on the way to the British Museum. It was really cool at the time of 6:30 pm but really ... Like other reviews here, the seafood soup is really good. The broth is very fresh and the seafood is fresh. The seafood, the tofu and the eggs are too soft. I felt like eating. Girl .. I think the guest is less than the taste.

First impression of soup is champon ~?
After that, I was busy eating.
For reference, I ate seafood soup.
I appreciated the price, but I guaranteed that freshness and taste.
It was more delicious than any other ramen in Korea,
I will visit you again if you think of Korean food or even a little bit more
The guy who went with me was the best in England.

(Translated) So I want to eat something spicy, so I eat bored bread. Change the taste I ordered the most spicy seafood. Say that it is spicy but can be eaten. Personally, I already eat spicy. If Thai people eat spicy, then eat comfortably, but if eat less spicy, should not order super spicy.

(Translated) First of all, it is delicious.
Any of the London meals I've eaten
It is more delicious, spicy, and moderately spicy.
I will definetly come here again when I return to London.
Also this is my first time to write Review.
I'm not making an opinion.
But I have to say that I have to write about it ...
For a person who is as embarrassed as me
Leave a review.
!!!
Please note that there is a cash only on the weekend .. :(
I usually write the phrase "cash nonly" all over the place or check it before ordering.
I tried to eat it and calculate it.
At first, she was speaking English.
Later I knew that I was Korean
He told me that he was cash only with Korean.
I did not hear CASH ONLY when I was informed that I could only have a bar table when I was given a seat in front of me .. I had to pay money with a fee, which was the last day in London today.
You explained the way that there is a place to find cash.
I do not explain the name of the place. I go to the restaurant twice and go back to the restaurant.
It was too bad.
But the boss who was there was kindly accompanied for the second time, so I came out feeling good.
* If you are going on a weekend, please make sure to prepare cash so that you can feel good until the moment after the meal! *

(Translated) I ate ramen while traveling in Japan a lot, and the ramen restaurant here was really delicious.
I ate menya ramen and the meat was thick and the broth was good.
It is run by a Korean couple, and both of them are kind.
I was especially grateful for knowing that I am Korean and saying, "Shall I give you kimchi?"
I hope you get better in the future, and it was nice to have a plan to visit again the next time I visit London!
I went to Japan to eat ramen more than 6 times because i like ramen.

(Translated) I ate a good Ramen, you can see while they prepare it for you, you can choose between different types even vegetarians only. The place is small but clean and functional. The staff was delightful. Attention, they do not accept credit cards, however this is indicated by a small sign at the entrance. Really cheap prices, with less than 30 pounds you can eat 2.

(Translated) Cozy and clean place, open kitchen so you can see how they make ramen. I don't judge the food, because I didn't like it (but my very personal taste), while my husband loved it, but he loves ramen. The only flaw they do not accept credit cards, we had to go to look for an ATM, a place attached to the British museum that does not have this type of payment in London is, in my opinion, a mistake. It is not even well signposted, there is a small sign under the cashier, but you have to see it. Other patrons saw it that day after they had already sat down and it's not nice.

(Translated) I ate a seafood sofu ramen and it was really delicious. I like it because it contains a lot of seafood and the soup is very small. I was tired of Europe's tastes and it was really good to have eaten fresh food for a long time. The price was a little expensive, but it was worth paying the price. I went to my mom with both of them, but both of them were empty. If you are visiting the British Museum, please eat here! JMT

(Translated) Located opposite the museum, it is very easy to find. It has been many times. Personally think that the best thing to eat is seafood~ followed by the hottest one (the 3 peppers on the menu forgot the name). There are crabs in seafood ramen
Shrimp squid Green mouth, three peppers have meat (a large piece of delicious and not greasy pork belly), there are seaweed and hot spring eggs in the ramen. If you don't have enough, you can add noodles or ingredients. After eating ramen, you can take a minute to buy coco milk tea hahaha. Anyway, ramen is really delicious! recommend! (but sometimes only cash)
