A. M.Ensconced away in the middle of Dalston this genuine Mezcal bar is a cosily decorated oasis to wind-down with great, legitimate cocktails and delicious Mexican snacks.
To the uninitiated, Mezcal, a spirit which, like tequila is made from cactus albeit through a different process is considered by many a mystical drink, because of its great feelgood powers, purity and strength. And whilst you are unlikely to get the real thing at a pub , owner Cesar will ensure you do, here, at his precious business.
The service is second-to-none.
I will definitely be back.
E. B.Yummers! After my meal, I was knocked into a food coma. The waiter did an excellent job. Easily earned their 5 stars! It's very authentic Mexican food, and as the name implies Mezcal is on the menu! Worth it!

It really was a surprise. Good atmosphere and good music.
The food and service was excellent.
I recommend you as main courses: Cochinita pibil and Alambre with chorizo, delicious both.
We drank a margarita and a michelada.
100% recommendable. We will return for sure!
n. c.If you want REAL Mexican — with wonderful service — this is your place. Growing up in the US, I never thought I’d find authentic, heart-warming Mexican food again since moving to London. I was wrong :) Enchiladas, tacos and margaritas are not to be missed.

The owner stopped by our table and explained the difference between Mezcal and Tequila offering a free shot to try the difference, such a great experience, will be back with some friends soon.
W.Absolutely terrific, best Mexican food I've had in London. We arrived bang on five just in time for happy (two) hour(s) and got stuck into two for one margaritas whilst waiting for a friend who turned up at quarter to seven, by which time we were pretty trashed tbh. Ordered shrimp tacos and a bunch of vegetarian ones including cactus, and they were nice and big, with great flavours. I was particularly impressed by the shrimp ones because instead using a few massive gulf of Mexico shrimps, that just don't exist in the UK, they've used a big pile of smaller local ones, to great effect.
The waitress was super nice, noticed that it was my gf's birthday and brought free shots and gave us sombreros haha... would totally go again
A. L.I was in this restaurant last weekend. This restaurant was recommended to me and the truth was that they hit. The food is very good, we tried many things of the menu and it was very nice. As for the attention it was attentive, friendly and pleasant. They had great music and cocktails after dinner. And the atmosphere was very good ... Without a doubt I would go back.

N. S.What a great place! Exciting cocktails and equally exciting food. Traditional Mexican dishes rather the standard burritos. The tostadas were exceptional. Even if you're not going to eat here, it's worth looking in just to see the neon graffiti on the walls and the multicoloured shrine to the Virgin Mary.
T. A.I love this place :) I've always had good service and the food is always tasty. Portion size is rather big, so be aware if you decide to order starters and mains. Even though this place is not renowned for it's steak... I have had one of the best steaks at this place... 1 inch thick, and cooked to perfection with enough sides to shake a stick at.

We visited during a busy Friday night and had a faultless experience.
Even through lots of our indecisiveness the waitress was friendly and patient. Once ordered the food was surprisingly impressive.

I'm trying out this whole vegetarian thing (yes, I watched that Netflix doc) but I have this other thing for burritos - the ones full of delicious tender and juicy beef and chicken. So, I was keen to find a Mexican place that does good vegetarian burritos to fill that much missed meaty hole.
The place was quiet and lacking in atmosphere but the guy behind the bar was friendly and keen to help.
For £6.something you get a large wrap filled with fresh roasted vegetables full of flavour, guacamole, sour cream, refried beans and all that other tasty stuff as well as a soft drink and nachos.
Great price. Tasty food. Make sure you pop in!
