Must have changed management as the place looks recently spruced up. Items we got were okay, nothing special. I guess why it’s called Naan Staap. Just there to stop off, eat and leave without any other feeling. The karak chai was great and the lemonade, the food was lacking in flavour. Just needed a bit more seasoning and I reckon it would have been okay. Probably wouldn’t go back again.

Good tea but the slice of cake was awful and the bounty naan was bit disappointing as it was just choc chips and desiccated coconut sprinkled on top with no bounty. Food was overpriced, tea was standard price. Was really busy inside so service was little slow and tables were dirty but somewhat expected. Overall would good again just for the tea wouldn’t recommend the food.

Stuffed naan was tasty. The naans that came with the curry seemed slightly dry, so if you’re ordering stuffed naan and curry you’ll get more naans with it so be mindful of how many naans you order ☺️. Karak chai so far was the best @ Naan Staap 👌

Love this place so much! Their Karak chai is absolutely amazing! We get it all the time when we host parties and it never disappoints. Their bun kababs we also catered at home for a house warming party and guests were so impressed! Everything is always nice and fresh and I love the aloo masala naans. Reasonably priced and great for the family!

Went for Tyyabs restaurant but suddenly my wife saw this one. Went curiously went there and saw a variety of naans in the menu. We have ordered chicken tikka naan, Alu paratha, chana masala and masala tea. All the food was delicious. Highly recommend this place and I will surely visit again.

This place was a surprise. Truly a hidden gem in the green street area. Hugely underrated. Great staff and service was very quick. I had the lamb bhuna: not that good but the garlic sesame naan was great. The curry is lack luster for sure not recommended. The chicken keema dun was amazing so many great flavours and spices it's like an explosion in your mouth. This is the reason for the 5 stars! The naan creamy cheese tikka naanwich was nice and theres a crunch with every bite. With masala chips which is just seasoned chips. The naan stop lemonade was so nice has a very sweet taste and a subtle sourness that quenches your thirst.

Super friendly staff. The shop is decorated with traditional Pakistani artwork. Desi Karak Chai tastes the best. I prefer 50/50 that has less sugar in it. Tasty street food. Must try their Naan Chaney, Naan Hareesa and Naam tikki. And in desserts. Almond cake and Naan khatai. Highly recommended.

My experience with these naans were definitely special as the taste was just unexpected overall. It is worth each and every single bite... especially loved the way they fill the naans to its max which is also a really good value to money. Not just the food was fascinating, even their decoration for the cafe was eye-catching I loved the wall art it was amazing! I loved the chicken dum keema naan, every bite of it was filled to the max also extremely juicy which just adds that irresistible flavour to it. Everything was also well organised.

Seriously delicious soft naan and the most delicious cup of creamy karak chai (£2 or reduced to £1 if brought with stuffed naan). I order regularly and I am.yet to be disappointed. The naan here is fluffy soft and melt in your mouth. The local naan everywhere else is a more chewy texture which is also good and delicious, this place is just different. I really enjoy the lamb dum naan (£5 - bit pricey) which is the one with nigella seeds and ginger julienne on top. The other stuffed naan is chicken achari - chicken mince with pickle. The latest I have tried is the hareesa which is a lamb and lentil stew with a plain naan and omg it was so delicious. Rich ghee taste mild spice. To die for. I love naan staap.

Had the Lotus Biscoff sweet Naan and must say this was a pleasant surprise as I was wondering how a Naan could work but worked well. Not too rich and just right amount of caramel. I went with a side of chocolate sauce and that worked well. Wish they did half and half but portion size also good and reasonable prices. Will be back to try the savoury dishes but this item would work well also with the right ice cream to just compliment further. Worth a visit.

I had heard good reviews about this place (that the chai is better than chaiiwala) so travelled over an hour to visit, but i don't think thats the case at all. Thoroughly disappointed with the chai, tasted watery. The lassi was thick and very yogurty (it needed elatchi!) and the naans werent that tasty. The keema naan had whole corriander seeds on them which wasnt to my liking. Unfortunately wont be visiting again, will stick to chaiiwala for my tea kicks

Madiha served me on Monday. A very delightful lady with a great smile and the service was amazing. She explained everything well and the food was incredible. Very flavoursome and tasty and the chilli cheese naan was soo nice and more-ish. The lasso was delish. The chicken jalfrezi and lamb Harissa i would highly recommend. Over all very tasty food and excellent service and very warm and comfortable seating area. 10/10. 5 stars. Can't wait to visit Green Street branch again. Thank you Madiha ! x

It's a great place to eat and we got'em come 2/3 times a month. We often switch between Chaaiwala next door and Naan Staap. But, as my wife often says, Naan Staap has that edge over Chaaiwala. All in all I give it 5/5.

Edit Nov 2019: I gave this place 4/5 stars, now reducing it, service has gone down hill, the young girl serving was talking to her friend while I was waiting to pay for a drink. It was awkward trying to get to the counter because she was just standing there while I was trying to pay. They were out of the tea I ordered so I asked to cancel the tea order, the girl came to my table shoved the card reader in my face to give me a refund even though my hands were covered in curry. She came back again to give me the reciept, could’ve waited after the meal or left it on the table. Service was just awkward. The jalfrezi chicken had bones and fat, was not nice at all. The Naan was still really good, especially the green chutney. I think the chicken dish gave me food poisoning 🤢 Original review: Had the Achaari naan, and the Qeema Naan. Enjoyed them both, however the Queema Naan had too many sesame seeds which overpowered the taste a little. Polite and friendly service. Would visit again, and a really nice quick bite to eat without breaking the bank. The masala tea was surprisingly better than expected, a little competition for Chaiwala a few doors down.

Awesome food, very clean, tidy and trendy environment, good presentation and the cherry on top is amazing customer service. Naan Staap is relatively small but cosy place. There are no seating arrangements during Covid time but you can takeaway. They can seat about 50 people. The naan has always been on point.

Really delicious stuffed naans and the complimentary sauce given with each naan was really nice too. Lots of choice and variety on the menu . Good service and they take card too. Very well priced menu. Food nicely and authentically presented. My only minor disappointment was that the masala chips were not what I expected - I expected them to be saucy but instead they were just fries with some masala powder on top. Other than that, I loved this place and will definitely visit again.

Last night ,I discovered this place while surfing the net and I was hooked with the looks of the food on their social media . Therefore I had made up my mind to visit this place in the morning at Green Street and with a delayed start and with almost painless drive I arrived in front of the shop. But no parking but risked of parking in a loading bay . Fortunately,one of the co-owner was there and after a initial hiccups because of my question of any multi packs of Nans,he treated me to a complimentary nankhatai and small taster tea . He also convinced me to buy a Harrira,even though I had not planned to buy this dish. My order CE to about £12 which included 1 each of Roghani Nan ,Harrira and a tea. Taste: Complementary nankhatai ; very tasty and crumbly and just right sweetness Tea: too sweet and I wouldn't class it as Karak which btw translates to "stiff". It was so sweet that I couldn't take another Sip. So please explore without sugar,if available Naan : nice ,supple and soft .but for some reason I expected Roghani to be slight crispier .then again that was my expectations and not necessarily representative of the actual Roghani.overall nice Naan but nothing to write hope about. Packaging : very colourful and bright and modern. My 4 star rating is more because of hospitality and the idea then the taste .

If you are tired of eating unhealthy Pakistani breakfast like Halwa Puri, Paye, Nehari, Haleem etc etc ..... visit Naan Staap for a completely different healthy Pakistani breakfast experience. Nice clean restaurant on Plashet Grove near East Ham station. Naan Staap is a non stop experience. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Another place to have quick bite and fantastic tea. Great tasting naans, menu is not over crowded with countless items. Keema naan and aloo masala naan was my favourite. Tried couple of side dishes too and was not disappointed. Tea was good and great option to have in case Chai Wala is busy next door. Would highly recommend it and im really happy that such snack house opened in east london. Couple of points to improve overall experience. Service could be slightly more customer friendly, the gentleman who served us looked bit stressed. Secondly food delivery should be speedy if a menu is so simple. We had to wait over 15 minutes for the food but not the end of the world. I can see it becoming popular amongst locals very soon. Looking forward to my second trip.

It’s a nice place to grab a quick and light bite. It’s not your state of the art exquisite flavours or anything like so. If you want a keema naan go to an Indian takeaway. This is for the chai, karak chai was very sweet and tasty and piping hot! Perfect. The range of naans to choose from is great, sweet savoury and fun ideas like Nutella etc to enjoy sweet desert like naans. The cost is £3-5 for naans with £1 for the chai which makes the deal very good value as chai anywhere ranges from £2.50+

I came all the way from battersea to try “Naan Staap” 2nd time.. today I tried Qeema Nan, but the quantity of Qeema was surprising for the price. Not happy with quantity… but I bet you one of the best naan in London..one Qeema naan for £5.25 is but high price… improve you quantity, your quality is amazing… fair customer services.. the guy advise me nicely. Wonderful দেশী নাস্তা! Quite innovative dishes! Best of all - they bake/cook/make all the items by their own Chef/Baker. You can feel the taste and freshness! I have stopped going to other places for tea. The kharak Tea here is the best. However I DONT KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED last few weeks Kharak Chai does not taste the same. They have changed the Ingredients or something the Karak Chai is now very very milky it has lost the original taste. This is a big shame because I was a big fan of there tea. I don't know if they are using different tea bags or something but the tea has been different taste now for four weeks not Good anymore. PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL KARAK TASTE ON TEA

Food is very good, so is the tea and service. I really like their chicken cheese Naan, it's my go to each time I come here, and I have been here a fair few times.. The staff have always been friendly to me here, and the food has been consistently good. They have karak chai, which is nice, I wish they would start selling pink tea as well. I have tried their other naans like achari keema etc and they are also very nice.. Their food is unique to most places and I appreciate the quality they have here.. 5 stars... Definitely... Parking here can sometimes take a couple minutes to find but its not too bad. There are single yellow lines and side roads to park in after half 6 I believe..

The greatest naans have arrived in the east end of London - yes we have suffered with cheap ingredients and imitations of the real stuff. The food is heavenly, divine in taste and very filling! Brilliant food. Brilliant tea. Now there are some compromises you will need to make to get those brilliant food. Firstly, parking is an issue on that street and in surrounding roads, very busy junctions throughout the day. Secondly, it's not all shiny and glittery in the restaurant. A bit congested when all table are full. Nevertheless, great place to be in with the quality of food and friendly staff.

Came here after hearing reviews from friends and family. Shop is clean and there are a decent number of seats. Decent access for prams and there toilet area is clean which is such a bonus when you're with a little one. Menu was decent but not somewhere i would go out my way to come to. Only if im passing by.

The menu is very simple. The aloo paratha is excellent. I thoroughly enjoy it with their chutney. I am not much of a chai person. So it would be good if they did coffee. In the meantime coffee is available at chaiwallah, almost next door. The nan kathai (a kind of shortbread biscuit) is also very good. It is not very conveniently located for me, otherwise i would go more often. We do manage to get parking in the evening but only by pure chance. The place is small but clean and has a nice ambience.

I visiter this place on 1st Jan 2020, very nice place and friendly staff. Food is great, prices are reasonable. Only couple of bad points: not a place you can take your family as it is always crowded and second management should know what a roghni naan is as the roghni naan they are giving with jalfrezi is jusy a plain naan with seeds and oil. Overall it was a good experience, they should do something with the people who take one cup of tea and sit for hours. I definitely recommend this place as the taste is good and better than chaii wala.

We ordered three Naans. Chicken cheese, chicken karahi and Chicken Jalfrezi with naan. Now there is a bit of a wait however it absolutely worth it. When the food arrived, the smell was enticing, the naans were fresh, hot and succulent. We did not try the chai or the dessert this time but I'm really looking forward to that on my next visit. If they are anything like the mains, it would be a delight. Highly recommended, well priced.

Love their naans slightly on the pricey side I would say. My favourite are always the Aloo naan as I prefer veg dishes but meat and chicken is great too. They serve chickpea curry and chutneys to have with the naans; personally I like the green chutney with the naan as the masala was too strong for my likings in the chickpeas. They do karak which is just as good as their neighbouring rival Chaiwala. Great customer service. Been served by two different ladies one Asian one with scarf who was lovely and the other is Natalie who is super friendly and has a bubbly personality and can really make you feel like she’s a friend you have come To meet up.

Interior is lovely, the naans are slightly over priced for what they are... The nutella one is delicious but way too much for what it is. All naans are the size of a 7 inch pizza so just be mindful of that when you go. It would be 5 stars if the naans were bigger or the prices were lowered meaning you get better value for your money. Masala chips were soggy and just covered in spices that tasted slightly bitter at some points so I would give them a miss if you were inclined to get them. Karak chai was nice, as expected.

I like the place different types of naans. And good stater and desert options. Naans are soft, one naan can be enough if you are not a big eater. Naan is made of light dough not traditional. Price is a little high but its a restaurant with a little difference, I think price could have been 20% less as at the end its a stuffed naan bread. I may go again. I would say go at least once and see if its you thing.
