I am not a review kind of person but I need to just let everyone know that this is the best Greek food and service you will get in London! Don’t bother with anywhere else, I’ve tried them all and ; 1. Every other Greek restaurant in North & East London has moody waiters , owners who act like they are doing YOU a favour by being there. Nissi on the other hand have the nicest, friendly and warm waitresses and owners. You always feel welcome and at home.. 2. I have eaten at EVERY Greek restaurant in London and the food at Nissi is quite simply the best …. Best Meze, best meat, best fish and 100% best Calamari !!! I am Greek myself and the one thing I really miss from the Greek Islands is the Calamari and in all my years the only Calamri in London that taste authentically Greek and comes close to Greek Island Calamari is Nissi. The flavour is perfect and it is cooked in fresh oil , not burnt oil like the rubbish you get in other Greek restaurants. 3. And FINALLY you get value for money , they don’t try to rip you off , they don’t charge you £12 for a Greek salad that is full of lettuce leaves and has two bit of feta on it … Like I said , not a review kind of person but for anyone who doesn’t know which Greek restaurant in north & east London to go to, GO TO NISSI, you will not be disappointed!!! I am proud to say that NISSI represents GREEK hospitality and GREEK food, the other places in London , not so much ( Desiree, Blue Olive , A touch of Greek, Friskardo etc ) …

Great food and first rate service. The lamb cutlets were divine, the grilled octopus was cooked to perfection and rose ice cream was the perfect dessert, it was light but full of flavour and refreshing. 😋

Went on a Monday evening as part of the 'eat out to help out' scheme. Busy, but still taking practical precautions on social distancing. The food here is really exceptional, everything was better than expected - fresh and beautifully prepared. Staff attentive and efficient. We had the (huge) meze platter for 2 so we could try lots of things. Thoroughly recommend it, especially if it's your first time here, as you get a good selection, and not just the cheap things either - swordfish, crayfish and octopus are all included. Genuine 5 stars.

After some time feeling that there were no longer any decent Cypriot Meze restaurants around, some firends uggested I try Nissi. The Meze was fantastic. The whole family loved it and we can't wait to visit again.

Wow have not been here for years but people kept on telling me the food was out of this world so my wife and I thought we would give it a try. The restaurants decor is very nice and so were the staff. We both ordered Mezes as this is what we normally have when we go to any Greek restaurant so that we can compare the different styles and quality of foods that are given to us. So their starters (the dips) were not that great in my opinion but they were not horrible either there were just a few of them I did not like but the presentation was amazing. The next round of dishes that came out and the ones after that were absolutely amazing. They brought out a large salad with the starters which was a good touch my wife liked this because she said that it was nice to eat salad with all the different meals. What blew me away was the octopus, calamari. jumbo King prawns. They were tasty soft and very enjoyable to eat and the jumbo prawns well they were jumbo. The last platter was a sea bream and swordfish. The sea bream was thick and meaty and tasty and the swordfish was soft and amazingly tasty also. I will be definitely going back to the restaurant again as for me and my wife it is all about the food and the service.

My first mezze and I really enjoyed it! The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. I most enjoyed the grilled octopus. I felt very full even though I've been holding back, but the beautiful rose and pistachio ice creams at the end helped a lot! Service was OK and overall a lovely experience.

I am the kind of reviewer to read all the negative reviews prior to going and I would like to say some people must have weight issues to claim the Meze didn’t fill them up haha more than enough food. One of the best Greek restaurants I've been to in London, Greece and Cyprus. Palmers Green, infamously known as Palmers Greek means Nissi knows standards are to be met and they beat them every time. Perfect for a meal with friends or family and couples to. Highly recommend the meze to get a diverse range of flavours. The restaurant is nicely designed and the staff are lovely. Will be back.

A friend recommended this ‘grill’ restaurant very highly, especially the lunch menu, so we decided to give it a try. We were very happy to have taken the recommendation; the food was fresh tasting, plentiful & reasonably priced; the service was efficient & extremely friendly (we arrived quite late in the afternoon session so were expecting to be hurried along, but quite the opposite, the staff were seemingly happy to let us sit unhindered!) & the restaurant looked very clean (including the toilets). We will definitely return for lunch again & are seriously considering an evening visit (if so the staff suggest you book beforehand by the way!).

Oh my goodness...so delicious & fresh! AMAZING!!! I had the seabass, it was amazingly succulent and so tasty. My husband swordfish was also truly amazing, everyone completely finished their plates. I go to alot of restaurants and can safely say I will definitely be returning to this one, in fact it will probably become a regular place for us!

I like the food here it is really delicious however the service often feels rushed. Our waitress was constantly returning to take our order and we wanted time to catch up with each other prior to ordering. I would recommend reserving a table. Best Greek restaurant I've been to in London. The service was very good, the decor was crisp and well presented as well as having plenty of space. I had the seafood meze which was absolutely incredible. I honestly didn't think you could get that quality of sea food in the UK. Plus the staff were also kind enough to accommodate the eating request of a large Xmas dinner I was organising, which made my life easier. The food wasn't cheap, however it was great value for money as it was high dining quality for typical London eating out prices. Will be going again.

One of the best Greek restaurants I’ve ever visited in the UK. Firstly, for a super busy Saturday evening, the restaurant manager did extremely well to accommodate our request for a table, which is very professional. Secondly, the staff attitude and the atmosphere, once we got there, were a reminder of restaurants in Cyprus or Greece. The food was simply excellent, perfectly seasoned and cooked and served with all the traditional side dishes usually offered with souvlaki and mprizola. The desert consists of Greek baklava with ice-cream, and honestly it was superb, and to top this all up, the price per person is just over £20. Seriously, there is very little that could go wrong with having a wonderful dinner at this restaurant.

Amazing, a true gem. All that's missing is for Bromfield park to be a beach, I could then sit by the window sipping a cocktail whilst enjoying their beautiful monkfish and black eye beans stew. Was treated to a meal out by my wife last night at this restaurant. It was perfectly ok, the place was busy for a Thursday and people seemed quite happy there. I won't be going back though. We usually eat Turkish at Wood Green or Harringay Green Lanes and the food is much much cheaper and the staff cheerful and relaxed. At Nissi we had the mezedes which were fine but all the menu is overpriced. The food is ok and the selection too, but the place is quite loud and a bit up itself.

Nissi is in the perfect location - opposite a park, very close to a train station and in the summer they open the doors and you eat alfresco! Love the service - super friendly guys and girls who welcome you and wave when I walk by on my way home! Food is INCREDIBLE! Nissi is simply the best Greek restaurant in London. The staff is infallible, genuine about service, and and the food (and its presentation) is perfect. The kitchen not behind closed doors, and situated in the middle of the venue... even the kitchen staff is nice. The restaurant is located opposite from Broomfield park and there is all-day free parking nearby. Make sure to book a table as it's not really a secret sweet-spot.

Best Cypriot food I have had in a long time, when they said giant prawns they meant giant prawns: biggest I've ever seen! We had meze four different fish, the sword fish being my favourite. Great service, clean, tasty what else can anyone want! Don't understand reviews that attack like the guy below, checked him out: he'd been to 3 different restaurants in ONE day 2 Cypriot one Turkish, guess which ones he gave 1 stars for?? Yep the Cypriot ones! So unfair to stop a hard working delicious restaurant making their living because of politics! Get a life mate! Live and let live.
