Reviews of OPSO
V. S.
Came here for a brunch. Waiters and personnel very friendly, welcoming and attentive. We had a great moment.
The food was delicious and I definitely recommend this place. Prices can be a bit high.
Something I would improve:
- a bit more biscuits and bananas on the pancakes
- a bit more feta cheese on the eggs
V. d. C.
Excellent food and lovely drinks. Only the busboys can take a chill pill imho. Maybe ‘cause it was not very busy, but after each sip of water you get refilled and they take your plates when the food is not finished. A little too much…. Furthermore, all good!
S. N.
The coffees were great, loved the Greek coffee and small sweet bite it came with. My friend loved her latte and mushroom eggs with toast. We both devoured the chocolate choux pastry. I was however not too happy with the portion of my spicy eggs though, left me unsatisfied.

I’ve been here for both dinners and brunches and enjoy it more with every visit. I must say they lose a star for value to size ratio.
The granola and Greek yogurt is a fav for brunch and everything from the greek salad and honey covered feta for dinner!
N. E.
Modern take on Greek-ish food, everything was flavourful and very well prepared. A bit on the pricey side but great for a special occasion. The waiters were really friendly and attentive.
S. L.
Amazing food and service. I don’t eat lamb usually but tried a piece from my partner’s dish and it tastes really good. The staff is very attentive and welcoming.

I love Greek cuisine. I have eaten here multiple times and celebrated my birthday here with a party of 4.
Located just of Marylebone high street, the street is not too quiet and not too busy, it’s just right, located on a corner plot the restaurant gets lovely daylight through the glass if you’re eating in the evening in the summer and it compliments the decor inside.
The decoration, fixtures and fittings are gorgeous giving a warm and cool feeling at the same time with the copper colours and metallic/wood fixtures. They have a long central, high chair dining table and normal tables for 2 and 4 people, I have dined on the high chairs for small meals, I wouldn’t recommend it for dinner as it gets uncomfortable.
This place pushes Greek cuisine into the modern day with its contemporary tapas-style dishes.
The staff are really friendly and there when you need them and when you don’t need them you won’t notice or be disturbed by them.
This is a high-end Greek restaurant, I feel like it belongs in Mayfair however I admire the fact of their choice of location as I believe where Opso will be they stand out and don’t need to rely on a location for reputation.
The menu is a little small, However, I appreciate it as it allows them to focus more on what is available and make it to perfection. The menu had a balanced variety and I honestly believe you will be happy with any of the dishes.
The aesthetic presentation of the food is wonderful, awesome for taking pictures.
The food is delicious I shan’t comment further, it speaks for itself.
If you have a special occasion to celebrate, they facilitate well, they brought me a lovely slice of cake on a glass platter with my name written in chocolate sauce and candles and they brought it over and I had my 15mins of fame at Opso, they made me the centre of attention.
Cocktails: They have good bartenders and I’m always left feeling satisfied (that’s what she said) lol.
Booking is a fairly easy process however they do get busy quick as they are in demand so plan.
Pricing, I find it very reasonable for the quality of food you are getting. When I take my wife here I spend between 100-140 for starters, mains, small desserts and cocktails.
I have and will be eating here again.

The food was exceptional & like no other. The service wasn’t, our booking was for 1.5 hours and we finished our food within 1 hour exactly. A member of the staff dropped off the check and said the party after us has already arrived. Note that the restaurant was not full and our reservation time was not over. We thought that was very rude. The staff member later apologized and said he got confused with another table which is odd but he then proceeded with removing the service charge on his own. The prices won’t suit everyone as they’re a bit high compared to other popular breakfast / brunch places in London.

We came as a group for the brunch menu.
Firstly the service was perfect. There was no interruptions when needed, we was assisted when required and the waiters constantly made sure our glasses were topped up.
I personally went with the prime rib eye steak 400gr cooked to medium rare. Honestly it was divine, highest quality steak I have. Perfectly cooked and seasoned which was presented very well on the plate. Served it with a size of mashed potato which was amazing and once again cannot fault the taste one bit.
We ordered a variety of dishes amongst all of us, the mains to share plate are not to share trust me. The drawback is that the portion sizes are very small so much so I did not take the time to take images of them. So for me price to quantity ratio was very poor. The costs are high, portions are small (4 pounds for a bottle of water was a bit questionable)
However I believe the quality of food superceded any drawbacks for me and I feel I couldnt drop a star based on the quality that was provided along with the service.
The surroundings of the restaurant where we was seated downstairs was really nice. Nice aura which let us eat comfortably.
Would I recommend this place again, yes for sure. That rib eye steak for me is a must to try if you don't mind spending just a bit more.

Look no more if you want contemporary Greek Cuisine. Opso is located in Marylebone, a beautiful area in central London with lots of trendy restaurants, pubs and shops. Opso is elevated and delicious, with great dishes. The quality of the ingredients is surprising and everything feels rustic yet very sophisticated. Perfect spot for a date or small gathering as the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. Can’t recommend this place enough, it’s a true gem in London
A. C.
Not so good as expected. The flavours are ok but the small dishes are overpriced. 18£ for a fake dakos, just some cherry tamato's with small rusks. This is nothing special. Also the dishes were not so special and were not present warm. Too nousy and staff not so friendly for 50£ service fee. They promote Greek food but there was only one Greek desert and not even Greek yogurt or healthy Greek mountain tea. It has nothing to do with the Funky Gourmet were eating was a great and funny experience.
M. K.
Been twice to Opso and will go again. The service is impeccable and extremely quick. Interior is very nice as well and the communal table is a great idea. Have not tried the cocktails but Opso has a very extensive selection of Greek wines of obscure grape varieties that taste great. The food was equally delicious. Would recommend the cauliflower and the deserts.
D.
Was honestly amazing.
Really light and different.
Small portions so definitely need to order a lot.
I love that they bring the food slowly so you get to sit and eat without the stress of having 12 different plates in front.
Z.
Authentic Greek cuisine (I went there with a Greek friend). Everything is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is nice. A bit pricey but worth it
S. S.
Really beautiful cute place, Staff are all very welcoming, kind, polite and informative of the daily special. I'd definitely be back here after my first visit. The food was absolutely amazing but the staff were the best!
s.
Such beautiful and tasty dishes. Loved the lamb shank with truffles.
A. H.
Amazing food, everything was brilliant, especially the lamb shoulder. Other highlights are the taramas, the feta, and the tiramisu profiteroles
S. G.
Very berry pancake is really tasty. The lamb pitta is very authentic and would definitely recommend. Spicy eggs I would say it's okay but nothing too special. One thing would like to mention that we booked the table for 3 at 12.30. However we had to wait a bit for the table to be ready.
D. W.
Wow really amazing Greek fusion food with some absolutely fantastic flavours, serving great wine in a relaxed and cool setting. What a great place. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Note though that this is not the place if you're on a tight budget!
D. B.
I enjoyed the quality of food.
That said, the service was really slow, e.g. I waited for the menu for about 20 minutes.
For the bill/check I received my expectations were much, much higher.
P. A.
This modern/fusion Greek restaurant is rather expensive (even for london) but the food is delicious and the dishes look and taste amazing. Over time portions have decreased and prices have gone up but the food is still so so delicious that I would still recommend this place! Ideal to go with a group of friends and get a bunch of sharing plates!
N. M.
Absolutely delicious Greek food in a very chic spot. Love their labneh, feta ketaifi and octopus with orzo. Service is great and they’ve got a cute outdoor setup with fire lamps (although they’re next to a wind tunnel so would recommend bundling up for dinner). Highly recommend!
L. L.
Lovely cosy Greek restaurant with top notch cocktails. Amazing sharing plates and deserts to die for!
H. S.
Very delicious, good seating, and friendly staff.
N. M.
Nice place, nice staff. And well cooked food. Little bit pricy.
L. K.
The best old fashioned that I have ever tried. Excellent service, excellent modern hybrid versions of Greek food.
The value for money is terrible. So, far from an all star review.
Z. N.
Very satisfied! All the staff was incredibly welcoming! A bit pricey but was worth it! Don’t miss the feta and the fava! Best dishes in the menu!
a. b.
Lovely restaurant and good service! The food is delicious, though quite overpriced!
J. L.
There are not enough stars to give this restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff were good.
From start to finish we were surprised with the decadence and flavours of the next course. I would book well in advance and request a seated table, they’re more private and the chairs a little more comfortable.
c. m.
The food, ambiance and service were excellent! We had the chicken, Salad, tzatziki and pita. We drank a refreshing white Greek wine, which was amazing! Finishing with great coffee and their orange hot chocolate and kadaifi desert. All delicious!
S. S.
The most amazing modern Greek food that we had for a while. The sea bass with beetroot sauce and rainbow chard was to die for. The moussaka was tender with charegrilled aubergines and with the potatoes on top added that extra crunch on top. Everything was excellent. Service was great and covid friendly. Will visit again.
V. Y.
Had a very good time here, food is delicious and just tastes amazing. Sort of deconstructed Greek food. All the flavours work amazingly well so you get a lovely tasting dish. Slightly overpriced though with small portions.
K. C.
Amazing food, very delicious. Unfortunately, i went there alone and couldn’t try more dishes.
M. B.
Good atmosphere but too pretentious for its own good.
a. b.
Lovely restaurant and good service! The food is delicious, though quite overpriced!
M. H. A.
I had the best Musakaa and the Potato 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽😋
T. D. N.
Absolutely fantastic food, what an experience! We got the lamb shank, skate, eel carbonara, fera, and iberico. All amazing.

Charming Greek in marylebone with all the feel good delicacies from the Hellenic lands
M. C.
The best Greek food I've had in London. I was unsurprised to see that Opso is Michelin recommended because the dishes are sublime. You must get the pita and tzatziki! I also recommend trying their barrel aged negroni which you can buy to go if you fall in love with it like I did. There's outdoor seating with heat lamps which are actually quite effective. The staff is always nice.
C. A.
Very nice place and tasty food. Maybe a bit pricy though.
G. K.
One of my go to spots, food is delicious and love the vibes. Easy for a friend’s get together dinner with friendly staff, downstairs is great for a larger group seating option.
T. D. N.
Absolutely fantastic food, what an experience! We got the lamb shank, skate, eel carbonara, fera, and iberico. All amazing.
N. Y.
Really innovative, modern and London twist on some of the Greek classics. Definitely order the Greek Spritz, the kadaifi and tzatziki. All fish is super fresh and top quality.
R.
This place has been on my to go list for so long and I finally gave it a try. While it was worth trying and the food, atmosphere and staff were all lovely, the bill wasn’t Lol! It’s a bit expensive for a quick brunch to be honest and for the portions they’re serving. Having said that I don’t regret trying it. You also need to book in advance because they could turn you away at the door.
M. R.
Delicious food and excellent service. I had Dakos Salad, Mousakas and Lamb Shank and they were great. For the desert I had OPSO Profiterole and it was very delicious.
D. L.
Very nice modern Greek restaurant, we enjoyed it a lot.
Had an egg dish that was very very good as well as the salad, the spanakopita wasn't at the level of Greek bakeries unfortunately. All the food around us also looked very good and the service was nice and pleasant, strongly recommend this place at the bottom line.
M. H.
The weekday brunch menu features a good variety of modern Greek and classic meat and pasta dishes. Mediterranean starters like the tahini yogurt and Greek salad taste fresh, clean and has plenty of acidity to go along while sprinkles of dill add a herbal undertone. The chicken dish was a crowd pleaser because it was just so moist throughout. The pasta dishes (mushroom risotto and maniatiki village pasta with a runny egg on top) was a tad bit too salty for our taste. Ambience is modern and staff is very friendly. For the quality and taste, the food is definitely too pricey and is the reason I didn't give it more than 3 stars.
S. A.
I went with my flatmate who is italian and he really enjoyed it. I understand that people say it is expensive, but in general when you go to this type of restaurant you go for the food experience and not to completely fill up your stomach. I only had pancake and it was really good.
P. T.
Delicious modern Greek food! Portions are not big considering the price. But great for sharing and ordering a whole lot of variety. Everything on the menu is fab - special mention of the loukoumades donut ball things. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
L. S.
This place is very nice and the customer service was amazing, our waiter was explained the concept and the dishes for us before we ordered and that was really helpful. The restaurant is very romantic and quiet and the food was amazing, the flavour was amazing and the food variety was really good but the prices are on the high side. I would love to go back and try their branch in the weekend.
F. G.
By far the best greek food I had in my life, and easily top 3 regarding service and dinning experience, even compared with other fine dinning restaurants.
All staff members are truly committed to give you the best service, they feel more like best friends welcoming you home rather than anything else, I can't emphasize enough how they truly care.
The food is out of this world, now it would be hard for me and my partner to go elsewhere for our date nights.
O. A.
What a great twist on traditional Greek dishes! It was my second time and again everything was simply excellent. I read some recent reviews about social distancing and staff not wearing masks that prompted me to write this review. Last night all waiting staff was wearing a mask, hand sanitiser was offered to (most) guests and there were dividers between tables outside. It was a very positive hint for me - on top of the food, the ambience and the friendly staff. I never tasted tzatziki like this before and the octopus stifado just became one of my favourites! It is a bit on the pricey side, but then again it's special.
A. I.
Pretty overpriced for what you get at lunch / dinner. Went for prawn pasta and it was extremely sour (I understand one can sprinkle the lemon, the feeling was as if someone has added a whole glass of lemon juice...), doesn’t worth the £33. Bar table is very dark and doesn’t really have any lighting (at least at the place where we were sat).
From the positives — very nice baked cheese, friendly stuff at the bar.
B. N. T.
We’ve ordered: pita bread with olives, metsovone (cheese with rhababer jam), peinirli (dough with chicken thighs and cream), feta kataifi (baked feta cheese with sesame and honey), and lasty mousto koulouro (traditional greek cookies with a twist and pistachio ice cream with caramel) for dessert. Was disappointed as we also ordered octopus as well but they apparently forgot our order... would have give them 4 stars but as the food was amazing so I can make an exception for this time.
R. N.
Lovely little gem with tasty, if a bit fancy, Greek food.
+ Food was super tasty! Really great.
+ Setting was lovely with great little touches
+ Staff were brilliantly attentive and friendly without being over bearing
- downstairs acoustics were quite bad to hear across the table
- little expensive for what it was
K. B.
I went there for brunch and was blown away by the quality of the food. I don’t usually like Greek food but the spreads were so flavourful and light and the bread was just amazing and fresh. The pita was some of the best I’ve ever had! Definitely would recommend.
N. S.
I was greeted warmly at the door then taken to a table. The restaurant has perfectly moody lighting to set an intimate atmosphere as soon as you sit down. Despite the bustle around me I felt like I was in a very comfortable place. The ambience and music were all immediately noticeable to be 'just right' and the decor was great - very warm.
Ciro gave a friendly service and some good recommendations. I had a few of the cocktails, which were original and there were some very interesting mixes. l will definitely try more next time.
The food was amazing. We started off with the Greek sashimi, fava/pitta, fried smoked cheese with rhubarb jam, and then we had the grilled lettuce and moussaka. Everything was delicious and well-rounded in terms of flavour.
For dessert, we then proceeded to order the new tiramisu/profiteroles in chestnut sauce, which was very tasty. Finally, we had a Greek dessert wine (the name eludes me, but it washed down the rest of the food very well).
All in all, Opso was a pleasant surprise and I have been to plenty of Greek restaurants around London and in Greece but this was a truly great experience.
Update: came back on the 19/02/20 and had an amazing sommelier battle menu experience, the wine/cocktail pairings were very unique and delicious.
M. L.
Very yummy Greek style brunch. I decided to give this restaurant a try as I was looking for something different from the typical avocado and eggs on toast. Wasn't disappointed. I had the veggies with milk bread which was extremely delecious and cooked to perfection. Then I shared the chocolate pancake which besides being extremely beautiful almost left me in a chocolate coma. I would definetely recommend this place if you want some good Greek cousine with a twist.
S. K.
Nice little restaurant for brunch, food is similar to Hovarda on Rupert Street Soho. Small dishes sharing concept. Would I go back? Think I will wait a few weeks before I consider returning to Opso. Dont get me wrong nothing wrong with the food or service just not something I would rush back to- personal preference. On a side note I wish they would not use duck eggs, instead use chicken eggs again my personal preference. The Benedict was nice but again had 2 eggs and were a little too runny for me.
M.
One of my favourite restaurants in London! Great greek dishes with a modern twist, always fresh and delicious! Definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves Greek/Mediterranean food 🥘👌🏼
Z. G.
Mouth-watering bites and exceptional flavours!!!! Greek cuisine has been taken to the next level!!!
It seems like the creator chefs of one of the most successful and Michelle star restaurants in Athens have decided to go global and opened this price-affortable and cozy restaurant by Paddington str. (We were informed that they also own a take away somewhere in London as well and are about to open a brunch, in Dubai).
Visited for the first time last week and this time I have brought my husband there.
Must admit he is very picky when it comes to food and he isn't keen on these flavours -at all- but in all honesty this time I didn't even have to convince him to try out something as he half-emptied the plates in no time.
Please don't miss out Saganaki Kantaifi, Ntakos Salad and Tigania Pork!! Portions might seem small but 4-5 of them (without dessert) are more than enough for 2 people!!!
S. V.
Amazing, stylish modern Greek restaurant serving Greek tapas style dishes.
The service is attentive, efficient and polite each time and all waiters guide you through the menu in the best way, knowing each small detail which really helps!
I have visited more than once for brunch and dinner and both were absolutely wonderful every time! They even do some super cocktails (I think they specialise in G&Ts) so we even have been
just for drinks at the bar where the bartenders here are simple a pleasure to be with!
Try the koulouri with goats curd, the dakos salad, the grilled lettuce (!!), the baked feta which smells and tastes so yummy, the fava spread is the smoothest ever, the Greek sashimi is the first I have ever tried (note I am not a raw fish fan) and was thrilled, the chicken is so tender and the sauce on top is to die for and same the pork tigania is so mouthwatering as well as the kleftiko lamb.
They also do some killing desserts with by far the best being the apple crumble!
For brunch I would highlight their granola, the egg and chips which they serve with a delicious tomato sauce and melted feta and the peinirli tigania with this magic sauce on top.
Cannot recommend enough! Try it!
L. L.
The best Greek restaurant in London! Although not the cheapest, it's definitely worth coming here for some authentic lamb dishes. The apple crumble is the must-try dessert that is baked on order. Be prepared to wait the most worthwhile 15-20 minutes for this scrumptious treat!
N. M.
Amazing food, great space and very polite and helpful stuff. Definitely one of the best places to get brunch and eat in general. Do try the peinerli, the scrambled eggs with eel and the pancakes!
P. Z.
Very nice atmosphere, I liked the tables and how is decorated. The food is really really good and nice cocktails too. The restaurant is based on tapas portions to share, so you need to take at least 2-3 per person which would be an average of £40-50 per person with water and a cocktail. Staff ok but not amazing.
D. K.
I highly recommend this place! Greek food with a gourmet twist, we had brunch on a Saturday and very much enjoyed it. The food was amazing, and the service and ambiance were great. Looking forward to going back!
O. R.
Opso has a cozy but modern vibe to it with nice outdoor seating for the summer. We hadn't reserved/booked ahead of time (Saturday lunch) so we were sat in a rather tight spot by the window that left little room to maneuver while eating. Having said that however, the food was very tasty and sufficiently filling.
M. H.
Wow, what a find. My wife and I had an 11:00 brunch. Cool jazzy atmosphere, helpful and not intrusive staff in a perfect location. The Opso Benedict was perfection, eggs cooked perfectly and the crispy kale underneath the lamb prosciutto was amazing. My wife had egg and chips and I’m hoping she will let me steal more cheese sauce soaked tatties.
Highly recommended.
L. P.
Such delectable treats - a culinary explosion of taste. Modern Greek Tapas. Friendly staff and great service. The aged Feta is amazing. Nice desserts too. Book early as it gets full!
v. m.
The food was amazing and so was the ambience.... I advice you to not take the table in basement. I didn’t know it was a Michelin star until I heard people talking about it. Staff was great and the food was delicious. I felt the prices were a bit high seeing the portions....!!!
M. R.
Delicious and tasty modern Greek brunch, I would highly recommend ordering (Kouloiri Breakfast, Very Berry Pancakes and Green Kayanas “well done”). All staff members were very friendly and welcoming and special thanks to Mr. Silviu. (P.S. To get a good table on the ground floor, it’s advisable to have a reservation for the weekend brunch).
E.
Opso is using high end ingredients. Try their feta which tastes amazing and nothing like you can find in any grocery store here. My favourite however was the very berry pancake ... so divine!
A. V.
What an amazing restaurant. Greek food but a bit sexy. Loved every dish. Struggled to breathe at the end. But couldn't stop eating . Cannot wait to go again.
E. R.
Fancy restaurant ideal for cocktails and sharing. Very high quality of produce, interesting revisitations of traditional drinks and courses and professional staff. Good for small tasters. Bit expensive but worth it.
S. D.
Very covid friendly restaurant. Very well set up.
Feta cheese was so yum with honey.
The whole cauliflower was really good.
My only complaint is it’s expensive £18 for a cauliflower.....
Sea bass with beets was really good and would recommend it
S. C.
Weekend brunch experience was brilliant!!
M. E. P.
One of the best Greek restaurants in London! The taste of the food was unforgettable! Great atmosphere and service! If you want to get a hint of Greek cuisine ,this is the best place to go ! I totally recommend it!👌
T. K.
Amazing place for breakfast and brunch with friendly stuff and vibes 👍 the green eggs kanayasa is highly recommended 👌🏻Apple crumble French toast is good as a dessert ...
Reservation is required ...
H. L.
I've been here a few years ago and really loved it so I visited again. Food was still great however dining experience was pretty bad. I sat on the communal table and we were given only 50cm clear space. The guy sat next to me was a bit big so he kept poking my arm while he was eating of course unintentionally. We spent about £60 for brunch and it was not something what I wanted. The staff were chatting and not paying enough attention to the customers so I had to walk to the till. The restaurant really need to think the experience they provide.
L. K.
Amazing brunch in Marylebone. From the taramas to the smoked salmon royale. It was a lovely environment with friendly staff, generous portions and well worth the price. Highly recommend.
J. D.
Great place for group dinners: the food was great, the staff were nice and the place itself was very cosy. Just found it a bit too noisy though, we had to scream all over dinner...will certainly come back though!
T. F.
One of the best brunch places in london , modern greek food 🥘, the cauliflower and the egg dishes are a must when visiting.
A. E.
Phenomenal food. We ordered most of the menu a few times over and it was consistent in quality, presentation and service. The beef literally did melt in my mouth and the whipped caviar was to die for. Unfortunately I skipped the wine so I can't comment on their selection. The gin cocktails we're very tasty though.
The brownie and icecream and apple crumble were the highlights of dessert with the ginger cookie and icecream came in a distant third.
C. M.
We had a lovely, memorable meal. Absolutely delicious with super fresh flavours. A nice selection of good quality Greek wines too. Service was very attentive and friendly. It's not cheap though, so worth it for special occasions now and again.
A. K.
Very friendly staff and good to see they have knowledge about wine, hope the restaurant helps to educate them all. A nice bar area. Dinning area looked pleasant. Can't talk about food only ordered wine. Out door seating. Beer on tap.
S. T.
Absolutely remarkable. The best Greek food I have ever eaten - you must go! Expensive yes, but amazing
A. C.
I must say that Greek cuisine is the best! However it takes more than a tasty meal to have a memorable time. Please work on being a good host. 😉
O. L.
Lovely Greek restaurant with nice heated outdoor seating. Good food and friendly service.
N. D.
One of my favorite brunch restaurants in London! The service was amazing, the food came less than 10 mins after we ordered. Kayanas, Choco Bomb Pancake and Citrus bomb are to die for! Perfect place to go with a group of friends, but you need to reserve in advance because they’re always crowded.
J. M.
Open lamb pitta for breakfast is a must! In hindsight should’ve ordered two haha
M. D.
Food tastes good and service is great, but portions are small and I would’ve never booked if I knew that I’ll be seated in the basement
E. L.
Let’s be honest. It’s OK. The food is nice, but nothing spectacular. (There’s a bit too much mayo and cream to my taste. Dips are rather simple to make. The ingredients are not that original, nor fresh.) The waiters are courteous, as you’d expect, and the service is fine. The decor is fairly standard these days. The pricing is high but this is Marleybone. I think the raving reviews are by people with low standards.

Service

The food is great, both the taste and the presentation. But service is very slow. The waiters are not rude but they can easily forget things - I tried hard to catch their attention to order and had to ask twice for the bill. And it's slightly overpriced.
K. D. W.
We had the brunch on Sunday. The greek yoghurt, the eggs and the pancakes were wonderfull. It's a shame we couldn't eat the whole menu :) Defintely worth a second visit when I'm back in London.
T. P.
Everything is fantastically delicious and add on top a very professional and friendly service and you got a 5/5. Been both with Friends and +1 on different occasion. I will come back ;). Thanks for the culinary experience.
K. A.
I love this place, just don't get the fish as a main course. Very reasonably priced for what you get in food and service.
M. A.
We have downstairs... it was so noisy
There service was fast... although we were a big group and it was taking a bit longer each time to serve us.
D. H.
AMAZING delicious Greek cuisine with the friendliest staff and most stylish décor. The char-grilled lettuce with feta and mascarpone is so tasty and their chocolate fudge brownie dessert is mind-blowing. You have to come here!
T. J.
Charming Greek in marylebone with all the feel good delicacies from the Hellenic lands
S. G.
Amazing food. Make sure you try the lamb and the eel carbonara - really special
D. H.
Great atmosphere. The menu is promising and has a great variety of delicious options. My spinach fetta cheese pie was a bit far too salty though and a bit cold. Service was excellent.
K. T.
Fabulous brunch for Mother's Day. Quite pricey but on this occasion worth it. Don't skip the granola, hummus or taramas. And the pita bread is devine.
h. s.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food here - and the staff is kind and made the dinner more enjoyable! We enjoyed the bread, lamb shank and the tomato salad a lot.
G. R.
Love the food, it's just magnificent.
Getting a table is hard, you might want to book in advance.
S. A. (. ا.
You cannot go wrong with anything you order at Opso. It was quite busy when we dined there, but the service and food was second to none. We also appreciate that they sorted a table for us without prior reservation.
M. B.
Just perfect… a sunny summer evening spent in good company, topped by delicious food. Five stars not just for making cauliflour the most exciting item on the menu! Also for super friendly staff and contemporary decor.
f. a.
Amazing delicious greek food! Although they removed some delicious items off the menu!
N. D.
Hidden amongst the hustle and bustle of Paddington St you will find OPSO - a contemporary Greek restaurant boasting larger than average portion sizes and beautifully presented flagrant dishes.
Fantastic venue for an informal business lunch meeting.
I. G.
Lovely food and great service! I would definitely recommend.
M. H. A.
I had the best Musakaa and the Potato 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽😋
L. J.
Really good Greek food and vibe, just on the slightly pricier side
E. K.
Had a lovely lunch, food was delicious! Very welcoming and relaxing ambiance. Georgia was super lovely and helpful! :) I will definitely come back again.
A. A.
This place is fancy and the food is excellent, though I fully expect that for the price. We had a little trouble with the menu, so my advice: order a bunch of stuff. Staff were great and friendly. I'll definitely eat here again. Why not 5*? Well let's call it 4.5
t. p.
Been there several time, the best greek restaurant in London so far
A. S.
I would say this restaurant definately worth going! Interior is nice and food is fresh and delish. Hovewer really didn't like claustrophobic design of the tables for big groups of people 😅 and absence of vegan options for the breakfast.
There are two floors, so if you want to sit in the day light make sure to reserve a table for the right floor)
S. A.
One of the best breakfast/brunch places in london. Must try the apple crumble French toast and the lemon chicken 👌🏼👌🏼
M.
One of the best Greek restaurants in London!
Service is good .. friendly staff.
Must try 👍
J. R.
Good food, massively overpriced and poor service.
The menu is an honest nod to classic Greek fare and tastes good in general but nothing outstanding from the five dishes that I ordered. I asked for advice on dishes and portion sizes but got no help in return - I put this down to poor training and a language barrier as the waitress barely spoke any English. The drinks order was also forgotten so had to reorder. Food was £120 for 5 dishes and wine was £65 (including tips and tax). For the price I would expect exceptional food and service with attentive waiters that actually know the dishes. Unfortunately this seems to be another one of those London restaurants that overwhelmingly underdelivers and relies on the reviews/reputation from when it opened in 2014.
D. K.
A great culinary experience. We tried a few different things and weren't disappointed. Everything was tasty and the presentation was equally rewarding. We accompanied our dinner with some cocktails which were also pretty good. The service was excellent.
J. H.
I would like to recommend OPSO Granola and Koulouri Bun Breakfast. I really enjoy them.
S. T. P. (. S.
Excellent place. Beautiful inside and outside. Staff is very polite and professional, you get treated like a VIP. Prices are on the higher end of the spectrum but it's totally worth it. Last but not least, food is absolutely delicious and well presented. Highly recommend.
R. B.
Excellent food, but the service is very oppressive (water is refilled every 2min…), hard to have a conversation of more than 10min without interruption…
M. B.
Good atmosphere but too pretentious for its own good.
O. R.
A very cute place with a refinement of Greek cuisine that I've not seen before - recommend the catch of the day sashimi and the lamb dumplings. Probably the best moussaka I've ever eaten.
Try and avoid being seated downstairs however. It's still nice but it's not the best.
Z. C.
Thought it was fine. The octopus was too salty to my like
G. F.
The greek yogurt is very delicious,
the pancake is also nice.
Poached eggs are not bad but the bread is very hard to cut.
Good service and friendly staff!
C. Z.
In love with this place!!! The taste and the quality of the food is excellent!!!!
M. A.
Great food and service. Atmosphere can get a bit loud given proximity of tables upstairs.
E. R.
Amazing food, one of my favourite places for brunch in London! The metsovone cheese croquette is out of this world 😍

Modern Greek fusion tapas, classy setting, beautiful looking food that taste good too.
a. a.
This place is seriously incredible at making some of the best neo-Greek cuisine. I think this is the best way to describe it.
Their desserts are a must. Literally any of them. Especially the ones with chocolate (be prepared).
The smoked metsovone cheese is a must. Don’t miss this out! The fried kataifi phyllo is also a must!!
A. S. G.
Very disappointed. the room downstairs is not at all pleasant. Way too expensive for what you eat.
M. c.
I ate the lamb and ice cream here. Lamb is very nice but is a little pricey compared to its taste.
A. M.
Came here for brunch with a friend. The dishes were nice, but nothing special. Considering the portion sizes, I thought the prices were a bit on the expensive side.
O. T.
We went for the brunch menu. Food was overpriced but generally good. Don't bother with the sides (unless you are really eager to try things), as the portions were extremely small. Go for the lamb pitta and the peinirli (altough the latter was small too). The ntakos salad was very nice but expensive (£17) for its size. Our pancakes came cold which I think it's unacceptable for the price (£15). Nice vibe generally though. Overall score 2.5. You can definitely find better restaurants for the price and many more worse restaurants for the price!
K. P.
Lovely food, very nice staff.
Super expensive prices (£20 for a small tapas dish of taramas) but great tastes.
The gin cocktail with mastiha 👏🏻👏🏻
B. A.
Food is always good. Staff were not very friendly!
H. L.
I've been here a few years ago and really loved it so I visited again. Food was still great however dining experience was pretty bad. I sat on the communal table and we were given only 50cm clear space. The guy sat next to me was a bit big …
R. A. M.
Awesome food all throughout
E. K.
Had a lovely lunch, food was delicious! Very welcoming and relaxing ambiance. Georgia was super lovely and helpful! :) I will definitely come back again.

Over priced food but very tasty, can recommend the grilled cheese as dessert 👍🏻

Amazing 🤩👌🏻
The food was delicious
M. K.
Beautiful service and food. Atmosphere is very special.
D. K.
Food decent compared to Greece, but more expensive. Worst part of the night was the bright lights turning on at 11 and then kicking you out of the restaurant without proper warning. For this price and type of restaurant, appalling. Go elsewhere and enjoy.
N. L.
My office came here for lunch, great service and amazing food. We’ll certainly be back.
E.
Best Greek restaurant, they are open for breakfast only in the weekend their-wise they start noontime.
F.
dessert is good;but dont try the dinner menu.(so-so and overpriced
B. A.
Great selection of modern Greek food. Has outdoor seating which is great for a brunch on a sunny day. Gets quite busy so advance booking is recommended
A. D.
Pleasant brunch - good food and great service, although they forgot a couple of dishes. Would still recommend
a. d. s.
I cannot recommend the food, venue and staff highly enough. We booked the downstairs private dining area for our wedding reception and honestly everything was PERFECT. The food alone is sublime (every single dish was delicious plus there was just so much food!) All our guests were commenting on how amazing everything was but the staff were also so attentive, constantly topping up drinks and being very helpful particularly in light of the Covid restrictions.
In the lead up, Savvina was very helpful in helping organise all the details, particularly around the menu and applying for a late night license so we could continue until 1am
Thank you so much to the entire team for a fantastic evening - it really was the cherry on top of our fabulous wedding day

Unfortunately, haven't had the fortune of returning to sit down and eat at OPSO, yet, in 2021.. so this review will refer to previous visits and take away service experiences.
This restaurant is a friend and family favourite in the Marylebone neighbourhood. It has knowledgeable, efficient, friendly staff whom all know the menu inside out and can make recommendations at the drop of a hat. The ambience is beautifully discrete: situated on the corner of two streets, it can be serene as any street in suburbia, or as energised and raucous as any corner in Camden or Soho. It all depends on the time of day, the date and day of the week you visit on. Bookings for Thurs-Sun are recommended to be done online or on the phone two weeks ahead of your desired time. The Al fresco dining looks to have taken off with immense popularity. The air is punctuated with the warm murmur of chatter and enthusiastic conversation as well as the gentle clink of glasses, cutlery and plates.
On to the food itself, and it is hard not to sound as if one has been paid to endorse their menu. Its sensational. Huge variety. Authentic Hellenic cuisine. Some seasonality and using raw materials often imported directly from Greece itself. For example, at Easter, for Pascha, they commemorate with the ceremonial breaking of red coloured eggs at the table. It were a fun sight to behold when we last walked past on Orthodox Easter Weekend. One does not have to dine in and enjoy the food, either. Gyros and souvlaki are available on the go in pitta with salad and seasoned fries, for remarkably good value. Opso will make you think twice about whatever "fast food" you allow yourself to indulge in next time a quick bite on the move is required.
Finally, the venue itself is worth noting. A charming, compact corner of Paddington Street, it's very near the Hellenic Centre of London, and can therefore be considered the official mini Athens of London's Marylebone district. The interior has a distinctly clean simple and elegant Mediterranean feel, while the downstairs, available with discrete booths and cubicles for groups of friends/family offer an unmatched level of calm intimacy. Furthermore, it's worth noting downstairs often has its own eclectic soundtrack. The first visit in 2016 led to a discovery that one of the staff was a Lord of the Rings fan, because the entire audiobook dramatisation of the first novel was being played aloud downstairs when going to use the washrooms. This is but a taste of the exquisite class and excellence that can be found at Opso.
It's uniquely placed in London to offer some of the most authentic Mediterranean Hellenic cuisine around. The enthusiastic staff are quietly outstanding at their customer and client service, always attentive and eager to give the best dining experience possible. The locale and surroundings are historical and charming while the food coupled with the serene yet exuberant ambience will ensure your first visit to Opso will not be one to forget.
It will also most certainly not be your last. Cannot recommend a Greek restaurant anywhere close to Opso. In pure dining terms, it's also one of the most charming spots in central London to enjoy a quick bite or a dedicated dining sit down experience.
K.
One of the best meals I’ve eaten in awhile. Two of the dishes, octopus with purée of fava beans and the pavlova were the best I’ve ever had. Hats off to the chef and waiters. Can’t wait to come back.
E. V.
Very tasty food. Reminds you of Greece but gives you something more. It would have been a 5 star review but our waiter pushed us to “over- order” resulting on a lot of food left at the end.
C. G.
Almost our local Greek around the corner from the office. Fantastic food. The cauliflower is amazing. The size of the portions is quite varied so watch out. The lamb is huge and of course delicious but the flavour is not nearly as complex as the one of the cauliflower dish. The only reason I don't give a full five is that the prices are quite drastic, especially in the evening. Ideally stay upstairs. Much nicer than downstairs. Maybe a bit louder but windows are simply priceless.
S. E.
The food is amazing but the cocktails are absolutely fantastic too. Try the elixir from the cocktail menu. I'd say it's the best cocktail I've ever had and I've had quite a lot of cocktails!
T. O.
The best Greek restaurant in London. Thank you for having us tonight.
S. R.
Cheviche was heaven. The rest was ok. But price/size ratio was a joke.
We sat outdooors and you just don't get "I am in a nice restaurant vibe". The staff is too quick, they took away plates which still had food on them.
C. H.
Food is top notch, had a great experience- service is great and environment as well. Will definitely repeat
N. C.
Lovely staff, and amazing atmosphere and service. Food and drinks are 🤩
F. P.
Very nice atmosphere, great food and cocktails! Staff are very friendly :)
S. G.
Nice food; very nice ideas. A little bit loud.
A. B.
Beautiful food, had a lovely salmon dish which was a great brunch. Would definitely recommend.
E. S.
The place was nice and cosy, but I was expecting much more from their food, keeping in mind that their prices are quite high. Lovely desserts and cocktails
J. K.
Try the Apple Crumble French Toast with Cinnamon Ice Cream. It’s absolutely outstanding !!!
E. D.
First time visiting this restaurant for my birthday, really exceptional service. The staff were really attentive and the food was delicious.
Thank you for a lovely evening.
R. G.
Second time to OPSO this time sitting inside and downstairs. All staff wearing masks service was friendly and super professional and food delicious. Will be back soon especially as they are continuing the Eat Out order. Be aware the portions vary so check sizes. Delicious!
h. g.
Great food! But they did forgot our half order. Still will recommend this place.
P. C.
The food is very good. It has high end restaurant prices, but is run like a low end chain. Basically, the staff are all really nice and helpful but seem locked in rigid processes. This starts with them bringing a cocktail menu, then if you don't want a cocktail you have to ask for a food menu and then you realise you have to ask for the wine menu separately. It's small plates, which most restaurants bring as they are ready, but here they arbitrarily divided ours into three "courses" with gaps in between. We had said we only had an hour at the start.
w. m.
Very nice Greek food with a great twist!
A. K.
Delicious, hospitable, festive, nice, stylish and cosy❤️ Really enjoyable experience!
j.
yum yum yum. awesome greek food at good prices, the best whole cauliflower in london. yum yum cheeses and bread and fresh dakos salad. i like the pitta bun sandos too.
L. B.
Easily the best Greek food in London!
G. B.
Always excellent service and food. I would recommend the whole menu. Many are small plates made to share amongst the table.
F. A.
Went for weekend Brunch. Amazing food all around, highly recommended.
H.
It was seriously, the best time to visit for breakfast..
k. m.
Greek restaurant serving delicious dishes such as salmon Burger was amazing and Greek salad
S. S.
Despite the pricing, the food here is top-notch in presentation and flavour. My friend and I went while social distancing was in place and the staff were still welcoming and provided all necessary cleaning as well as a screen seperating us from other customers.
S. R.
This is not only the best meal I had in London - but arguably one of the best meals I've EVER had (and I've had the good fortune to eat at places like Eleven Madison Park etc.)
The decor and space was beautiful but not overly pretentious, the service was warm and attentive. And the food absolutely blew my mind - the grilled sea bass with truffle mayo and beetroot sauce was truly incredible, just brilliant! Many other restaurants in this neighborhood have long lines or 2 hour booking waits. I was able to be seated right away. What a gem!
M. L.
Truly an amazing dinner. I didn't know what to expect, just that my girlfriend had said that she loved the place. We had to wait about 10 mins to be seated but once we were the waiter was very friendly and well versed in what to order given the fact that some of the dining party were Vegetarians. Every time a tapas style food that was brought to the table, it wowed every one of us. I, very much a meat eater, was pleasantly surprised at all the delicious Vegetarian plates that we were presented with. To make things even better the cocktails were unusual and ever so delicious too! I highly recommend Opso. You shall not be disappointed.
A. A.
Excellent service, wonderful food, will definitely come back here if i get the chance
J. H. (.
The food is DELICIOUS! I never liked Greek food before. If not requested by a friend, I would've never thought of going. I love all the dishes we got, the cauliflower, the fried mozzarella, the cod roe dip with pita bread, the shrimp pasta, the lamb shank.
Y. A.
Amazing breakfast place with multi michelin star
E. U.
Tasty food in the most part with good attention to service however, incredibly over priced for the portions you get
J. S.
You know that wonderful feeling when you stumble across a hidden gem in your ramblings around London. Opso is exactly that. The food was phenomenal and the service friendly and professional.
Never have I tasted feta with such depth of flavour or a retake on ham, egg, and chips with such class.
A truly unexpected indulgence.
J
D. G.
The food is quite tasty and the dishes have a modern twist of an otherwise authentic Greek cuisine.
But portions are fairly small, tapas style, making them significantly overpriced. So as much as I'd have liked to, I can't give it 5 stars.
If you are looking for Greek food, it is definitely worth checking it out.
S. W.
Great food. Ordered every main on the menu to share - quality ranged from good to excellent. Probably the chicken or the octopus would be the best out of them but can't really go wrong.
S. P.
Delicious food. Great ambulance. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices given this. Would go back again
S. B.
Modern Greek. I personally loved the food there.
it's not the traditional Greek restaurant but the good is still equally Mediterranean.
Opso is fancy, pricey but elegant and professional. Make sure you have a reservation and enjoy the drinks while your table gets ready.
Portions are not big but very tasty.
S. D.
This is a restaurant in my to-go-list for a very long time and after a visit, I felt that the food was really worth a special visit. All the food we ordered was so great that I would probably come here again.
However, the service is disappointing(downstairs yesterday):
The waiters look friendly, this is not about their service manner. But they really hoped that we leave as soon as we finished eating even when there is no one waiting for seats. We were having a hot chat and someone just gave us our bills quickly and before this, they looked towards us several times and murmured to each other.
Second, our bill is not a whole number. But I don’t know if it is for convenience, the waiter just suggested everyone pay several more pence. This makes us feel NOT good......
I admit that this restaurant has the potential to be a perfect place if you care more about your customers.
d. d.
Authentic Greek food with a twist.
Great menu... Well thought out and balanced. They’ve got a a very good selection of cocktails as well.
What made our visit really stand out was the quality of the service - which was really head and shoulders above what a restaurant of this size would usually deliver...
Highly Recommended...!!
A. M.
Wish they could keep the quality as it was a few years ago, visited then for brunch this time and lamb pitta was smelling unpleasantly.
M. A.
Great terrasse this summer. Highly Recommend the lamb. Service on point. Can get a little loud inside but all around awesome place 👍
C. T.
Opso is one of my favorite London restaurants. The food is innovative, fresh and delicious. Portions are okay, might be considered a bit pricey for the amount but it’s a high end dining place. If this place is full you can also try The Real Greek across the road although I would wait in line, totally worth it. If you can make reservations in advance.
C. S.
Used to be such a good restaurant a few years back. One of my favourites in London. Then they increased the price and the quality of the food went down. I loved the menu back when they had the mushroom cappuccino, but now the food had become quite average and over-priced. Really sad to see.
C. L.
Really nice foods, but the price went crazy compares before
V. M.
Really authentic Greek food with a modern twist. Good dinner menu but brunch is even better. Reasonable prices and very good list of cocktails. The first floor has very nice ambience as well. Definitely recommend the place
M. M.
The staff were very accommodating, finding us a good table for a last minute booking. Staff were very helpful, explaining dishes and ingredients, and friendly and pleasant when serving us. Food was very flavoursome. Price was very reasonable. We probably ordered too many cheese based dishes! (Not a favourite of my husband's. But we both agreed that we will return.
A. H.
This is a Greek modern/fusion restaurant. Service is very good but a little slow.
Food is excellent, portion sizes are adequate.
Wine selection is mainly Greek and is excellent.
A tad overpriced IMHO. But you probably get what you paid for.
T. R.
My husband and I came for brunch here on Saturday. We come to the area often and my husband works closeby, but it was our first time trying it and we loved everything about this place!
The food was all so fresh and delicious! The service was fantastic as well. We will be back real soon!
P. Z.
New greek fine kitchen - staff smart.
E.
Good drinks and decent food. Service was okay.
N. Y.
the slow cooked chicken and the very berry is super nice

I tried desserts there . It was very delicious and tasty 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
L. D. V.
Modern Greek food and fantastic desserts.
E. Ş.
After lockdown our first trip to London .we loved restaurant, This greek restaurant very lovely especially with ouzo. That's why I give 5 🌟. But I wanna be honest very expensive because for meals are comes very small. We paid £91 for 2 people and still hungry ouzo £8
H. M. A. B.
Great service and decent food.
J. B.
We sat outside on the street and had a very nice meal. The chicken and lamb shank mains were tasty but well into the £30's. A few of the staff were authentic Greek as we couldn't understand a word nor they us. It was a Friday night and must be a reflection of the times but we must have been approached by 5-6 homeless people whilst we were sat down. Not Opso's fault more the government but does make you feel bad about eating an expensive meal.
M. Y.
Amazing and tasty Greek food. High quality service. Food is on the pricier side though.
K. Y.
Very reasonably priced and fantastic Greek food!! Recommended.
F. D.
The food taste good and the ingredients seems like a good quality specially bread, pita and tzatziki. The fish burger was very good but too small. when I complaint because was missing an ingredient in my meal the waiter not even said sorry and overall he was bit unpleasant.
A. C.
Nice place. Food is good.
A. T.
Good but way, way, way too overpriced. I get that they're in Marylebone and rent is expensive but some of these prices are ludicrous. If you want to overspend on Greek food go to Meraki, I used to go to opso all the time but was really disappointed more recently with the prices. £18 for a roasted cauliflower is robbery.
M. M.
Went for brunch and was really impressed with food! Will definitely come back soon, but will ask for a table on the ground floor, as I felt a bit segregated on the lower ground. However, I forgot about it once the food came!
J. F.
Standard quality, not outstanding considering the price.
L. C.
Food is really good. The toilet was really REALLY dirty and smelling, and it's not like it was one time thing, it's like they don't clean them often. It's really disappointed to pay average 18£ per dish and have a toilet that is more dirty than public toilets.
F. C.
Cute place, food is really good! The mini salmon burger is delicious but the smalest burger you will ever see.
B. A.
Quite possibly the best Greek food I had in a long time. Went for a selection of starters. Everything was delicious and well prepared. I was impressed with the interior and how clean the place was. Lovely seating, not too stuffed, thoughtful touches of levander on the tables.
M. F.
Popped in on a Monday afternoon. Beautiful surroundings, great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Everything I ordered, five different plates, was exceptionally well presented, as well as delicious, and big enough to share. I look forward to visiting again and trying out many more of the dishes on offer. Although it may prove difficult not to simply order everything I had last time, again. I can feel myself craving those dishes again already.
Would highly recommend, and look forward to revisiting in the near future.
G. A.
Great food and excellent service!
S. S.
Great food in a relaxed atmosphere. Loved the lamb shank and dips to start. The cauliflower was amazing as well but a little too salty for some. Definitely going back.
D. D.
I loved the interior design, the staff is extremely polite and helpful, the drinks options are vast and the cocktails amazing, it's close to the Baker Street Station and I have heard the best about the food, too. I have gone only for drinks. Also, the prices are very good and fair.
G. H.
Beautiful Greek food and gorgeous setting.
For modern and clean plates of Greek food, this place comes highly recommended! It is often busy on weekends so would suggest booking ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
F. M.
Nothing special on the dishes for the prices paid!
Cocktails were amazing though.
p. V. G.
Overpriced ! Small portions ! So much noise ! I had bigger expectations ! I was disappointed ...
A. S.
Loved the place, the musaka (picture), beaf cheeks and deserts were amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful.
T. P.
DELICIOUS! Absolutely delicious. The price does absolutely justify the food as it was incredible. Can’t recommend enough. You absolutely have to give this place a go!
Staff - friendly, fun and hospitable. Very welcoming.
Food - fantastic!
Location - easy to get to and find.
H. B.
Excellent tapas in Soho. They don't take reservations so plan to queue or arrive before 5:30 when they open to secure a spot at the first seating.
The pan con tomate was extra-garlicky and delicious. There are plenty of vegetarian options, though many of them are fried and a bit greasy. The olives are some of the most flavorful I've had. The specials go quickly, so don't hesitate if they sound good.
N. M.
My favorite Greek restaurant in London. A more modern style cuisine while keeping many favorite Greek dishes. Interior decor is excellent and has a communal eating table in the middle as well. Would also recommend the place for drinks, great bar and cocktails.
A. G.
Original cocktails and dishes. Grilled lettuce? Delicious! Total surprise. Plus some excellent Greek classics in case you're not feeling adventurous. Lovely people and some old school classic background beats making a lovely atmosphere. Particularly like the sharing table. I'll be coming back
C.
Excellent food and service. Small menu (this is a plus) with greek dishes with a modern, more international gourmet twist. But for me overpriced, with small portions, tapas size, with high prices. Be prepared to spend and make new friends due to the cramped space.
M. S.
A truly delicious approach to modern Greek cuisine. Every single plate is magical. The team is very friendly and professional. What a great place from all perspectives - perfection!
Must go - you will go again and keep going
A. K.
Service charge does not go to staff, as I understand!
We had the weekend brunch menu, which was ok. Portions are smallish but the quality is good.We found it overpriced and we are discouraged by the fact that the (very good) staff don't see any tips.I hope the owners read this and change their policy.
E. L. V.
A bit expensive but great place in Marylebone to have Greek specialties!
M. W.
Tasted fairly good, wine was great, but pretentious and altogether just not that amazing. Portions stingy (seemed to be a consistent complaint around us), service arrogant/meh. Hate when places give you the hard sell on cocktails before dinner. Should be head and shoulders above The Real Greek across the road, but the cheaper chain runs it pretty close.
C. B.
Amazing food. I've been here for breakfast and dinner so can safely say that both time we really enjoyed the food. The pancakes, opso Benedict and baked feta were absolutely delicious and a must try
J. D.
Very yummy Greek food. Lots of options for veggies too. Great wine choice. Helpful and friendly staff who knew about the menu and the wine on offer. Would happily go back again.
G. L.
Note: this review is based on BRUNCH!
We went to OPSO for a weekend lunch; it's a a good place to meet up with friends. Book well in advance to get a table; as opposed to sitting at bar stools. The restaurant is lovely, and because I made sure we had a table -
we were seated downstairs - we had a comfortable booth.
The menu is small, and I left underwhelmed. The portions are too small for the price, and there weren't enough options. We ordered Spanakopita, Tzatziki, Mini Souvlaki, and about 4 other items and the 4 of us were still hungry. It would have helped to have our server guide us through the menu so we could figure it out!
Based on the brunch experience, I would not return to OPSO but I will give it another try for dinner.
M. P.
Food was average with some plates very tasty like the peynirli and the saganaki, and some really bad like the mini souvlaki. The chips with egg and cheese could have been better with thicker chips and maybe a poached egg so it will be easier to mix. The cheese was not really needed. On the plus side, the place is really nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly. Prices were ok for London.

Highly recommended! Nice atmosphere, kind staff, loved the food!

Visit : Couple / Friday Lunch
We had wanted to try Opso and the regional food they serve for sometime and finally got around to a lunch appointment - unfortunately though on snowy/rainy miserable day! so the shine of the food brightened up our day though
Lunch lasted for around 2hrs 30min - a reasonably decent wine selection with wines from the various areas the restaurant covers ........ we had a number of dry whites to go with the starters : for starters we went with the pumpkin hummus, pita and then a Feta Saganaki along with a metsovone croquette ( endless tester for the comparison of various croquettes against Japans ) - each of the starters was of a good size and quality. The metsovone was especially easily to eat. The Feta saganaki would be good on a warm day.
Mains we probably over ordered on as we chose two dishes, however for us, one would have sufficed to share after the starters as we only ate half of each - both mains were extremely tasty being the Lamb Trahanas and the Opso Mousakas ( eggplant or nasu ) - the mousakas was light and easily eaten ( the portion size is probably idea for the average diner in the UK ).
Service was very good from arrival to departure - we had additionally ordered two dry reds ( by the glass ) however neither us liked the taste of the wine ( not that it was bad but it was just not to our taste ) and they cancelled out those glasses from the bill as we had also ordered a pinot red - very nice touch as we would have been happy to have paid for them.
Decoration is light and modern - some outside tables which would be idea with this food on a warmer day - tables against both sides with a raised and shared dining top in the middle. There is a downstairs.
Whilst we were there for lunch we noticed that diners were a mix of 'business casual' meetings, friends (from area) and some regulars - crowd was very multinational. For the period we were there a couple of tables turned twice. Vibe / atmosphere was friendly and lively with conversation throughout - for a quiet discussion it maybe a touch difficult unless you're heading for a late lunch (...after 2.30pm)
Bill was pretty ok and as we'd expect for location / quality etc
Booking was all very efficient - reconfirming etc
Would recommend if you are in the mood for the regions food and especially if those you are dining with are happy to 'share plates' as then you'll get a little of everything and enjoy more
Would / have recommended to friends in and/or visiting London to try and would also like to re-visit for a lunch or dinner outside when the season switches into spring / summer !

Excellent service, amazing food, delicious dessert. Will definitely go again

Ive been coming here for many years, but the last time i want i was extremely disappointed.
Firstly your portions seem to have shrunk and you have begun to miss the mark with some of your dishes.
Your tarama, which was my previous favorite, was lacking salt and general flavor. your tsatziki had tahini and a hummus like texture instead of yoghurt?!? your pumpkin and lamb kleftiko had 3 chunks of lamb and was majority pumpkin. along with many other faults in the dishes.
Apart from the food, a friend of mine ordered a monkey shoulder whiskey clean. first he received a monkey soda, then when we corrected the waiters and said no we ordered a monkey shoulder, he received a monkey shoulder with soda. not only did this take 30 minutes to figure out, but who drinks whiskey with SODA and why would you ever serve that??
Lastly and most importantly, you accepted to take a reservation of 7 people at 9pm, you were slow with bringing out the mains, 45 minutes to be exact, so coming to our table before the mains arrive at to ask us if we'd like to order desert from now because the kitchen closes is your fault and basically ruined the night for my table. after that point you rushed everything and had your team bring us the bill without even asking us, basically kicking us out.
1-if you cant handle that many people or orders in your kitchen then don't fill your dining rooms
2-if you're going to shut the kitchen and hour and 15 minutes after seating us, but you're also going to be late with the food, THEN DONT ACCEPT 9PM bookings.
that was super disappointing and unacceptable.

We’ve been waiting for Opso to open in the neighbourhood. They have outdoor seating which is great because we have a dog and we tried them out for breakfast this weekend.
Food: We ordered the eggs and soldiers which the eggs were pretty standard, but the soldiers had cheese on them which made them different and delicious. We also ordered the pancakes which was actually just one pancake that had cream cheese, strawberry jam and berries (today were blueberries). I have to tell you that the pancake although just one was AMAZING! I am not sure what kind of batter they use, but it was delicious and I could’ve eaten 10 of them.
Drinks: We ordered three lattes.
Price: 22.95 GBP for two people. Definitely reasonable.
Ambiance: We sat outside which was really nice because the sun was out. Paddington Street isn't too busy with foot traffic so you can eat in peace.
Service: Very attentive staff. Our server was not only friendly, but very nice.
Would I go back? Yes! Can’t wait to try out their lunch and dinner menus.
H. K.
Very good restaurant, the food is amazing and the staff are awesome! Sb would say that the portions are kind of small, but given the great experience I had, I would recommend it to anyone!
If you go for brunch, ask for the Peinirli Titania!
A. G.
had my birthday party here last night for 23 people. From initial enquiry to the dinner last night I found the staff and service faultless. The staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much. The food was delicious and I had preordered exactly what I wanted to order before arriving, which was no problem at all and no need to follow a set menu. I would 100% recommend for a party, but also for lunch or dinner. Great value in my opinion. Thank you Opso - fantastic!
A. W.
Delicious food at a reasonable price - order a few meze plates to share. Of particular note among our choices were the delicious juicy olives, the salmon slider and the yellow fava bean dish. Will definitely return!
A. A. M.
There's not much Greek about this restaurant except from some ingredients and dishes that sound Greek. Real Greek food need not be fancy or mixed with jam. In a nutshell if you want the real greek food experience, you won't find it here. The quality is good but small portions and overpriced.
J. N.
Great food, good variety of options and fast service.
One thing that they have to be aware of. When there is a booking between 12-14, the staff shouldn't come to the table at 13:30 and asking if we have finished because there is another booking later. It was a bit annoying. Apart from that everything else was fine.
O. R.
Fantastic food, excellent service and very good wine and cocktails.
I had booked for easter in which they had their usual dishes as well as a fixed easter menu. I tried the easter menu which was delicious -main dish portion could be slightly bigger- !
I am definitely going back for more!
H. M.
Great cocktails, tasty food, not exactly Greek but excellent all the same.
Watch the 20%service charge . Outrageous in view of very high prices already
Small portions
J. P.
Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is tasty but portions are incredibly small for the price you are paying. Will return to enjoy some wine on the terrace which is nice in the summer.
A.
The food was not exceptional, and the service really really slow (on a Friday evening)
J. L.
Great food and service. Nice atmosphere. The only dish we didn't like is the pork belly as it is too salty so we barely ate it. The waitress asked the reason and just deduct it from the bill.
S. N.
delicious food and lovely atmosphere. the hand cut chips with melted feta and tomato are unforgettable, and so are the Earl Grey chocolate truffles! very good cocktails too.
M. S.
The food and service are excellent. My only issue is that there are zero sound absorbers in the downstairs dining area. It gets extremely noisy. Make sure to sit upstairs until the restaurant invests in some sound absorbers below.
C.
Not a cheap restaurant! The service is great, the food is tasty, the style given is a kind of modern decoration and so for being next to Marylebone high street... You pay the price. In front of you have another Greek restaurant with less cliché and more affordable. But it is not OPSO
A. M.
Eccentric Greek cuisine. Although some older style hardcore authentic Greek food lovers might not accept this twist, but this is what makes the place unique and stands out from the rest. Interesting, caters for all pallettes and not too expensive.
E. G.
Fantastic spot!!
We went for brunch. The staff were very attentive, fast to get us drinks to start and helpful with recommendations.
We had the Metsovone croquette: smoked cheese with rhubarb - perfect balance of fat, sweetness and nice acidity to cut through; the Opso eggs 'Benedict': fantastic flavours, great bread, sauce and bacon bits; and the Peinirli Tigania: succulent pork belly with cream cheese on a pastry that melted in your mouth.
Incredible cuisine and experience, thank you!
B. N.
Greek tapas... That's new and more importantly Very delicious. Great staff and ambience.
T. C.
Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Greeks are not necessarily world renown for their food (although I do enjoy every bit of it). However, OPSO's tantalising menu impresses. The dakos salad and beetroot carpaccio, and fava bean meze are exceptional. Honestly, cannot stress how delicious they were.
The staff is a reminder of mediterrean culture - funny, nice and friendly. I was greeted all the way down. The restaurant goers are young, fun and loud!
R. h.
Their english isn't really good and toilets are not very cleaned either. The food is good, but nothing outstanding
B. W.
Tasty chicken. Food choice is quite limited tho
T. L.
Little unknown (to little ignorant me) Greek restaurant in Marylebone
A. G.
Location: 9/10. Even though quite subjective.
Environment: 8/10. Very nicely decorated, bright, with nice table organization, spacious and with adequate seating.Very clean and neat as well.
Staff: 9/10. Friendly, attentive and professional.
Food Quality/Taste: 8/10. Most of the dishes we ordered were of very good quality and quite tasty. Olives with bread were excellent, spinach pie as well. Dakos salad was different than the original Greek one but baby tomatoes were supreme. Pastichio was not close to the typical Greek plate but taste was fine. Bit disappointing the pork and soutzouki Pita finger food.
Food Portions: 5/10. Pitas are extremely small (never seen in the market something similarly small) and each one costs 5 quid. You need at least 5-6 pp to claim that they're enough to eat. Pastichio was almost adequate.
Drinks: 7/10 Wide range of Greek wines, even though quite more expensive than anticipated.Excellent though draft Greek beer which I haven't tasted before.
Prices: 6/10: I'm very well aware that it's London and a prime location but the balance portion/price is not satisfying.
I debated a lot myself whether giving a 3 or 4 stars (3.5 would be more fair). My Greek side would suggest a 3 my foreign side a 4.
But, I decided to revisit and take my final decision after.
P.S. I would certainly suggest a visit for Greek Freddo om a Saturday morning / noon.
А. К.
Great modern-greek restaurant with good gin-based cocktails. A bit noisy downstairs.
Relaxing podcast about wine regions playing in the toilet zone. Can you share the link to the podcast, please?
M. A.
Delicious food! In my opinion it is the number one restaurant in London. I totally recommend it! Well done guys in Opso. We had the best dinner after a long day of business meetings.
M. G.
Wow :) food was amazing... they tailored two dishes to fit my dietary requirements... even thought everything on the menu is packed with cheese and I don't eat dairy haha
Amazing food and service, very loud downstairs so difficult for a romantic date but otherwise lovely x
A. K.
Great food great service. 👍👍 A lil pricy :) but has michelin stars, so expected.
L. B. Z.
A greek place serving great quality tapas. The atmosphere is rustic, warm and friendly. If you don't mind a busy, noisy place for your supper, you'll love this one!
K. R.
Recommended Greek restaurant! Very delicious food and good service.
A. A.
Amazing greek restaurant. The brunch here is amazing and they do dishes/food that other greek places refuse to do like bugasta. It can be on the expensive side and pre booking is a must if you want to get a seat however it is worth it. A lot of arab people also visit OPSO however the waiters speak both english and greek if required
A. B. H.
Great staff. They have two menus one for lunch I believe and the other for dinner. I had the lunch menu and it is not bad. However, I think the dinner menu is better.
“They have good bread”
M. A.
delicious, probably one of the best brunches in london i’ve been there 3 times already but it does not have the best seating area, slightly overpriced and not too versatile. the pancakes are not the best, the eggs benedict is really good and i love the spinach pie. make sure you are not seated in the basement as it does get hot
I. M.
Although pricy, the souvlaki dish I tried was amazing! Nothing close to what a Greek would call souvlaki, but a delicious, high quality dish that probably justifies its price.
The ambience and service was very good. I would definitely recommend it.
B. A. (.
I love the brunch
J. B. A.
I really enjoy having brunch with my family here.
The food is very tasty and good presentation.
The staff not friendly and very slow service.
The location and the atmosphere not bad.
T. R.
Bright, airy feel, salads standout and give you the idyllic island feel - staff need a gentle nudge to notice you are there, but once they realise you’re on location they’re so nice. Avoid the mackerel which you’ll see on the menu as “catch of the day”.... it’s damn fishy... which day in 2015 was it caught?
F.
Expensive, but also the most delicious Greek food I've ever had
W. L.
A variety of texture in all dishes with a nice blend of flavours, not too salty nor sweet. I had the granola with yoghurt this morning, loved how the toasted nuts blend in with the chilled fruits and yoghurt. Lunch and dinner have not disappointed me before either, portions appear to be small but they were just enough for you to enjoy the dish, from the shallowed fried cheese that melts as soon as you cut it, and softness of the fish squid-ink burger...... delicious
R. A. M.
Awesome food all throughout
R. M. M.
All in all a lovely food experience but very pricey for the portions served. Interesting takes on traditional dishes. Very friendly staff.
A. T.
Beautiful and tasty dishes.
M. M.
loved the menu selection!. the portions are small and pricey but its worth it for the quality of dishes. very delicious food, dont go if you are in a hurry aa service can be slow
J.
Bold claims have been made about its granola; one friend said it was "life changing". And indeed it was! Granola was amazing, koulouri was so yummy and also the green kayanas. The only issue i had was that we were seated at the high tables which were very squeezy, you're literally elbow to elbow with someone else. Reservations essential.
F. G.
Good place if you like to share small portions. Quite crowdy and loud.. not so bad overall, considered the staff is very kind. Good wines. High prices.
F. L.
The head chef, Andrea Kizoub, takes cooking to another level. the way he prepares food is art at it's best!! it really doesn't get any better!! Try and go there. order whatever and he does real magic. this must be one of the best cooks in the world if not the best!
S. S.
10/10
After you tried, you’ll know it’s worth the hype🥰❤️❤️😋😋
T. S.
Very expensive and small portions. It was very fancy.
B. N.
Great food, nice athmosphere, lovely staff. Mezes are really good, mostly sharing food. Depends on what you eat and drink but average cost should be around 40 quid per person.
S. B.
Pretty good yet affordable restaurant! The ambience was perfect for a relaxed, smart-casual dinner. Would come back for the cocktails and to try the other things on the menu!
L.
DELICIOUS! Fried feta with honey is a MUST HAVE. Really great meal, expensive but worth it!
C. R.
Best restaurant we feel like in Grece the waitress Georgia was really patient with us and she explained everything and guide us for the best experience . We had a lot of fun there thank u for everything ... u mad our night Georgia thank you . Team french girl of last saturday night
C. C.
Excellent Greek food with a modern influence. Definitely worth to try if in the area. Can get quite busy and I would recommend to book.
M. K.
Food was good. I was disappointed with lack of social distancing, no clear rules and no face protection by staff or customers. Sorry but we need to get use to rules!!! We will get closed up all again...
K. B.
Brilliant food, always order too much. There is such a thing as too much service though, we were interrupted every 5 minutes and felt quite rushed and our conversation was constantly lost which was a shame
A. B.
Very good Greek food, lovely atmosphere and the service was good too!
I found the food bit over priced, considering the complexity!
A. K.
assured, inventive and vivid cocktails, positive Greek wine list, not overlplaying the Greeky decor, quite good flavour but missing on essential heartiness, awfully inept little crisps that pad out small expensive dishes, flamed/sushi mackerel wasn't fresh enough
R. R.
Deliciously tasty, traditional Greek dishes, served up with a very modern twist. I loved the flavours. Great service too.
H. B.
Very tasty 😋 try the pita bread with yogurt and the scrambled eggs
P. T.
The atmosphere is great, all the dishes are delicious (even compared to the same ones you can find in Greece). I think it's a bit overpriced.
J. D.
This a great place for brunch. Their food is always fresh and tasty. Definitely try their aged feta cheese, probably the best feta I've ever had!
J. P.
Very nice greek food and amazing coffee. Also very reasonably priced. Went in a large group and only paid £35 each and we had a lot of food and 2 bottles of wine.
L. S.
Definitely my favourite Greek restaurant in London. Been here twice and would return many more times for sure. For special occasions though as the prices are quite high
A. R.
Great food, fast and courteous service but restricted wine selection.
E. C.
The pictures online were a bit misleading... the portions are small and there wasn’t much special about it. I ordered scrambled eggs and they were kind of cold and waaaay too garlicky. Maybe I chose the wrong thing to order...
I. P.
Amazing breakfast with very nice staff. They took care of my intolerance and recommended the best options for me. Will come back for sure!
J. C. B.
Great food and wonderful service, close to the Hellenic Centre
D. T.
A modern twist on Greek cuisine. Really tasty food, and recommend the bougatsa 10000%. Probably the best one you can find outside of Thessaloniki
A. B.
OPSO is a pleasant eatery. Prices are somewhat higher than they ought to be. Staff is good and service is fast. Brunch menu sparse and simple.
A. V.
A great take on Greek food, with some real gems. The souvlaki taco was unexpectedly excellent. That said, sometimes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it : the tzatziki and pastitso were both disappointing
V. F.
The food is ok but is overpriced for the sizes of the portions. The space is cool and the staff attentive, nice cocktails also but i was expecting more from the food.
Z. A.
Warmly Greek restaurant. Amazing delicious food.
M. F.
The food and service were both great, so can't fault the experience. There are equally enjoyable dinners elsewhere for much less though.
P. M.
Our favourite Ping Pong used to be at this great location in Central London, now occupied by Opso, supposedly a "modern Greek" restaurant but providing quite standard courses in terms of quality and experience. The wine list is ok in terms of variety and appropriateness of prices.
V. S.
Great place to eat, I’ve lamp pita and it was delicious.
N. I.
Amazing modern Greek cuisine, based on traditional flavours. Everything we had was fantastic and the service was exquisite.
P. R.
Exquisite food but a little hectic
D. S.
This has become one of most frequent restaurant stops since arriving in London in February. Reasonably priced and absolutely delicious greek food. Highly recommend.
S. S.
Great environment
C. M.
Lovely Greek food, perfect for brunch or dinner outside
S. Z.
Best Greek place in London in my opinion. Have been here several time, always had different food and I was never disappointed. Seems like everything here is good.
M. L.
Reinvented Greek dishes fit for modern taste.Try the cauliflower! I have not tried the cocktails, but the bartenders seem skilled.
Z. D.
Great food and cocktails. Service was decent, if a little inattentive at times. On the pricier side, but expected given the location.
B. M.
Finally a Greek restaurant with Greek wine! The food was amazing and we'll presented. Very friendly staff and reasonable price.
A. K.
Amazing hospitality and good food!
Freshly baked koulouri made me feel like being in Greece...when you go very early in the morning to the bakery to get some bread and the koulouri that just came out of the oven...
J. S.
Excellent food, friendly staff
M. B.
Good food but highly overpriced
P. P.
Modern and nicely decorated place with quality food and welcoming and professional staff. The lady on the bookings very polite and the bartenders are excellent in recommendations and in making amazing drinks!Try negroni mastiha!!Highly recommended!!
A. C.
Nice option for a weekend brunch if in the area. Service could improve a bit. Book a table outside if lucky with the weather. Must try the Summer Spritz!
A. G.
Went here for brunch - their duck egg and chips with smoked cheese sauce was one of the tastiest things I've had in ages. Looking forward to returning.
R. C.
We have visited Opso since they opened and recently visited the restaurant on three different occasions with friends, food remains unchanged great flavours and fast service.
J. C.
If you like greek food with a modern contemporary twist then definitely visit Opso. The quality of the food good and the chef certainly knows how to slow cook lamb. However, if you prefer the traditional greek food then visit Opso another night
P. d. P. P.
Cute corner restaurant with a terrace and decent service but food doesn’t match the interior design. Small overpriced dishes and undercooked eggs.
C. V.
Lovely place to have a delicious brunch! The menu has all kinds of different brunch options. Furthermore, also the staff is very friendly and helpful.
M. F.
Marylebone is one of London's loveliest neighbourhoods, but it's a bit drab in terms of fabulous, shmik, design-savvy eateries. It can be just a bit too old school. Enter OPSO, a new Greek casual eatery where the design is gorgeous, the service warm and the food fabulous. Welcome to the neighborhood OPSO, so glad you came!
G. D.
Had pitabun's amazing, tasty, super licking awesome 'sunday roast' pita! Yummy. I'll be back for more!
A. Z.
Mini portions, over priced, tasty fusion greek food
A. P.
The food is top notch quality and care in everything they do worth it definitely
