Reviews of Padella Shoreditch
G. O. T.
Tasty and fair priced pasta! It’s hand-made and made to order (which you can see given the open kitchen layout).
The main drawback is that the portions felt tiny, so I had to order a second pasta to really feel satisfied. Still the pasta was tasty, and I enjoyed it. It’s nothing crazy or out of this world, but a nice solid reliable (& fresh) pasta spot!
The service was also really great- all servers were super friendly and accommodating!
Atmosphere is nice! We didn’t book enough it advance so we had to sit at the counter- I recommend booking ahead of time so you can get a proper table.
Will be returning :)

Pleasantly surprised. You can get in the queue online before you get there if you don’t have a reservation. The pasta is SO GOOD. The portions are medium size, 3 between 2 is enough if your having dessert. Wine by the glass or garrafe. Eat by the kitchen bar and enjoyed the view of the team. Would definitely come again for the pasta.
m.
The pasta tastes ok but the highlight is that it is affordable. Tried their gnocchi with nutmeg butter for £7~ and it was perfectly cooked and tasty. The staffs are really nice and friendly and the restaurant ambience is lovely. There's always a queue, though.. and the table that we got was only for 1,5 hours. Overall it was a decent restaurant.

Spacious both outside and inside. Very kind and swift service, with all COVID protection measures in place. The olive oil we tasted was really good, with a great bread and tasty olives. The pasta we ordered was fresh and very flavorful. The portion size is a bit inconsistent, as we could appreciate with other plates delivered.
The espresso is really good.
The price is average for London.
Definitely suggested

Seriously the best pasta you will eat! Nothing pretentious about the food or crazy prices you'd find in high-end Italian restaurants in London, but just delicious fresh pasta dishes with bags of flavour served in a rustic way which I think is the best way to eat Italian food. The Fettuccine with Cobble Lane Cured nduja, mascarpone & lemon was the winning dish for me here, absolutely perfect. The staff and service was great with the staff really knowing the detail for each item on the menu. Will definitely be coming here again to try the other dishes.

We've been to Padella several times at the original location but this was our first time here - it's much more spacious and less claustrophobic with a nice outside seating area and a lot more space. Service was excellent and the food was utterly delicious as always, every last tiny scrap of every dish was finished! The cheaper, simpler pasta dishes are probably the most tasty & are good value for London.

One of my go-to places for a pleasant eat out in London. Amazing, simple pasta at great prices and fine looking place too. All of their pastas are great and by now I have tried them all so really can't go wrong but praises are mostly for the dorset crab, gnocchi, and beef ragu. But they all are extra fine really.

Visited late last year and it was an unreal meal. Sat at the bar which was great to see the place in the works. Really nice and accommodative staff, particularly 1 young enough guy behind the bar - real gent. Expect to line up for this place, we waited 80 odd minutes for a Sat lunch. Well worth it though great meal and seasonal ingredients. Ragu was the standout, Burrata excellent too, Crab one was great and Pumpkin was good too. No faults really
v.
Food is great here. I went for San Valentine with a friend. The place was fully booked but the staff managed to get us a spot at the counter so we could see the kitchen and everything going on there. The kitchen staff is really professional. We got cacio e pepe, pappardelle with ragù and ravioli with tomato, the first 2 were definitely 10/10.
Portions are abundant for one person so defined recommended.
W.
Pastas were disappointing. But service and vibes were great and the portion size is generous compared to other pasta restaurants.
We had the tagliarini with dried chilli and garlic, the fettuccini with fennel and sausage ragu, and the chicken liver fettuccini special. They were all unfortunately mediocre at best. However the burrata starter was yum and so was the chocolate tart for dessert.
We sat in the outdoor terrace which had heaters and was completely covered and blocked from the wind. It’s also dog friendly!
R.
Nice place and nice food, but it doesn't quite match up to Bottega Prelibato or Fare.
The slow cooked beef Ragu just didn't have as much flavour as I expected, but it was still nice. The pasta could have been great but it was overcooked and stodgy, not what I was expecting from a pasta place. It is quite big and busy, so I assume the turnover is quite high.
The staff were really great and attentive but not overbearing and despite sitting at the bar in a busy restaurant I felt quite comfortable and looked after. They did offer to replace the meal but I just don't like wasting food and didn't really want to wait again.
I should add the portion was a tad small, I was quite hungry afterwards.
A. M.
I wouldn't have queued at the London Bridge branch so we were glad we could book here. Saturday night buzzing atmosphere but the place is spacious with some covid dividers in place so we didn't feel like we were sat on top of anyone. Beef ragu and the crab dish both lovely and reasonable price!! We had negronis which were ok. looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes.
E. S.
Excellent handmade pasta for an extremely hard-to-beat price - our three pasta dishes (Stracci, Pappadelle with 8 hour Dexter shin beef ragu, and pici cacio e pepe) plus the sourdough to mop up the sauce cost £42.75, including the service charge. Equally impressive customer service, which made us feel right at home!
E. D.
Lunch for two - three dishes, four Pilsners - was only £26 per person, which we thought was very good value!
Pasta dishes were delicious, had the cacio e pepe, beef ragù and pesto pasta, all three very different flavours and pasta shapes, and would definitely eat all three again.
Relaxed atmosphere, decent amount of space and social distancing. Loved it.
Y. N.
A lot more spacious then Padella by Borough Market. The classic Cacio e Pepe is still our favourite but the stracci with pistachio pesto and the pappardelle with beef shin ragu were also very delicious. We downloaded the walkup app to remotely join the queue. It’s worth it as It can take a long time to get a table if you haven’t made a reservation.
R. A.
Simply best pasta in London! If you like pasta and you haven’t been to Padella yet, it’s definitely a must go place. Fetuccine with Nduja and Pappardelle with beef shin ragu are my favorites. Also order some sourdough bread to eat it with sauce thats left after pasta.
Burrata was good, but a bit too much of salt crystals on top of it, also adding a few drops of balsamic vinegar to it would be nice.
Also would have really enjoyed more bread variety, at least one more option in addition to sourdough would be great.

An ideal restaurant for weekday meet up with friends - great vibe & good quality of food. I won't say it's the best pasta I've had in London, but it's way above average. The portion is a bit small (hence the 4* for value) so we ordered three pasta for two ppl. Papardelle with beef is my favorite.
D. R.
One of best pasta deals in town (and everyone knows it). Everything was good, pappardelle, cacio, just get it all. You’ll want to after waiting an hour or two.
M. N.
So good! Your staff make the experience that much better, each time I’ve been here the staff have been super friendly and approachable— big plus and quite rare to find! The pasta is so delicious, so perfectly cooked! Great atmosphere, amazing staff, delicious food! Thanks guys :)
E. C.
Amazing Padella! Sourdough Bread made with organic local wheat, evo Oil le ferre from Puglia to start a good meal! the pasta is top class level, same level of any good traditional restaurant in Italy.
Good and friendly service and good wine choice. Very Nice! Keep rocking Padella Tribe!

I went for lunch with a friend and we ordered the zucchini fritters, burrata and sourdough bread to start. The portions were very big so we were worried we'd fill up too much on the starters but actually, the mains are not huge portions so it turned out just right.
The burrata was amazingly delicious, on its own and with the bread, and the zucchini fritters were also very tasty, although all the batter around it was a bit heavy so we couldn't finish it all.
For the main, I ordered the nettles pasta with egg and the waiter informed me that I should mix the egg into the pasta to make it more creamy which I did and it was also very delicious.
Overall, the food was very good and not too expensive so I would definitely recommend it and I would go back again.
The only slight negative is that there is a 1 hour 30 min limit for the table which is understandable when it's busy. However, we finished eating at around 2.30pm when it was no longer busy and no-one was waiting so it was annoying when the waitress rushed us at the end by reminding us that we needed to leave soon. So we were considering getting dessert but we decided not to as we didn't want to be rushed.
B.
Always good, I just wish it worked better as a quick lunch and was easier to get a walk up table. We snagged a reservation for 1pm as we live locally, thinking it would be a good workday lunch. Service was snail pace and after an hour and a half we had to request our bill before we'd even had all our dishes, so don't count on being in and out!
Food is consistently good and affordable. My must-order is the cacio and pepe, such good chew to the pasta. We also ordered the tagliarini with nettle and egg yolk, pappardelle with beef shin, courgette fries and chicken schnitzel with anchovy. The pastas were all awesome and I could eat a bucket of those courgette fries, but the schnitzel was pretty bland and underwhelming. Stick to the pastas and you can't go wrong. We didn't have time for dessert, but the caramel and chocolate tart is usually my go to.
M. C.
The staff are lovely and very friendly. The food is good quality yet inexpensive.
However the pici cacio pepe was a bit salty but still enjoyable. I also found the sourdough a bit difficult to eat! But otherwise everything was lovely and we felt safe!
N. A.
The Ricotta ravioli and cacio e pepe are both recommended!
S. M.
Nice ambience, delicious food, lovely service, good price...not much more to add
N. P.
Only need one word - excellent. Possibly the best pasta in London. Tried every pasta dish on the menu. Would recommend multiple dishes as portions are small (but very good). At £4 the gnocchi was one of the favourites. Followed by the Pumpkin ravioli. Would go again if it wasn’t such a pain to book - Monday night with the walk-in app is the easiest!
I. N.
Amazing pasta, great service and fresh original produce.
Had a bunch of starters: homemade sourdough bread, rocket salad and the fried artichokes. Everything was amazing, rocket salad included (you'd be surprised of how good it is).
Cacio pepe pasta as a main - not big portions, but good enough.
Water and sparkling water are offered for free and the service was really welcoming and not rushed.
A.
Yum yum yum.... Where do I start... Didn't take a picture of the burrata we scoffed that before i could! Waitress was lovely and told us what was good! They make the pasta fresh and it's so reasonably priced!
A. A.
Very nice setting, with a lot of space between tables. I loved my salami starter and gnocchi with nutmeg butter were amazing. Waiters are suggesting 3 pastas in 2 🙄...portions are not so small and pasta is not tapas. That said, good experience.
J. L.
The food is quite well priced here by London standards and the pasta sauces are quite tasty. We were let down by the overcooked pasta and expensive wines on tap.
R. D.
Good as far as pasta goes. Personally not a big fan of Italian food, but tried this place for all the hype. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, location is nice and the pasta fresh and tastes well. If you are not a lover of simple pasta dishes I advise to manage expectations and enjoy the food for what it is. Whether it is worth the two hour "virtual queue" remains questionable imho.
S. C.
Service and the environment are excellent, although I did like the starter and dessert. I was not impressed by the pasta, did find the pasta bland but also could be due to the fact I like more heavily flavoured pasta sauce such as tomato sauce
L. B. S.
My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic evening and we are honestly both so happy we settled on Gauthier. The food was astounding! I am vegan but my boyfriend is not and we both said that it’s one of the best meals we’ve ever had, potentially the best for me. We particularly loved the Mushroom loin and the Louis XV dessert. The service was also amazing! The waiter was so knowledgeable and passionate about the food, and the wine from the sommelier was delicious and worked so well. We both can’t wait to come again. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!
C. W.
Finally made it to Padella, the Shoreditch branch is more spacious, much more likely to get a seat without queueing. Pici cacio & pepe was definitely the most outstanding pasta!
M. M.
Came here for dinner and was blown away at how delicious the pasta was. My husband and I split the cacio & pepe, the tagliarini with nettles, nutmeg, and egg yolk as well as the beef papardelle.
All three pastas were so flavorful and the texture of the pasta was incredible. For dessert we had the salted caramel and chocolate tart. I was stuffed by the end, but Padella is one of the best meals I’ve had in London.
I. S.
Fantastic pasta. I particularly loved the fettuccini with chicken liver, sage and Marsala and the stracci with sweet onion, thyme and Gorgonzola fonduta. And the Amalfi lemon tart was delicious! Excellent service as well
D. M.
Food is so delicious, plenty of seating. Service is consistent, friendly and prompt. Really one of my fab restaurants in London. Can't recommend enough.
H. T.
The best pasta at the best price. The pasta is made fresh and every dish is always delicious - I like to go with friends so that we can order multiple plates and eat as many different types as possible. It is that good you just want it all.
M. M.
Came in on thursday night, we sat on the counter and had amazing fresh pasta. Great prices and friendly service, we asked for recommendations from the chef who was very helpful and kind. Will be back, 10/10!!
I. B.
Fine, but definitely not one of the best pasta places in London.
The portions are tiny. I could easily eat 3 portions, I'd estimate perhaps 60g of pasta per portion. And everything is cooked very softly, especially the gnocchi and the fettuccine have absolutely no bite to them. The pici, served as the cacio e pepe, does have more bite so that worked better for me. Taste-wise, it was good, but I wouldn't say it was out of this world and I'll be rushing back.
I was also very disappointed to see that the staff was not wearing masks.
EDIT: I cannot reply to the owner's reply to mine so I'll include it here.
We were not advised of any quantities. I still think my estimate was pretty correct, because I was counting as dry pasta. 60g dry pasta is approximately 110g fresh pasta. For me personally, 1.5 portions is insufficient to satiate my appetite and it also doesn't make for a plentiful, indulgent meal. This sounds to me like I'd have to go with two mains for sure.
M. H.
While the food certainly tastes great, I'm unsure why the portion size isn't mentioned on the menu. The prices are rather low for a nice Italian restaurant, so I'm not upset that it's balanced out by small portions. However, after eating the ravioli (6 in total) I left hungry. I wish this would've been made clear on the menu - for example with a suggestion of sharing 3-4 meals as a group of two etc. as other places (e.g., Dishoom) would do.
S. S.
Visited this on a day trip to London. The pasta is absolutely magnificent!!! We shared 3 plates of pasta between 2 people, after having some burrata as a starter. We eat a lot but still couldn't finish everything (although we really wanted to!). I would really recommend this branch since the line wasn't long and the staff is absolutely lovely!
A. G.
Great vibe! The gnocchi is SO good -- I wanted 5 more orders! Also, ordered the pappardelle w/beef ragu, DELICIOUS. The burrata is great too.
M. S.
An all around ideal experience - Padella fit us in shortly before closing on Christmas Eve, yet the outstandingly friendly staff treated us with a warm, unhurried welcome, even offering a pair of desserts on the house as the restaurant was preparing to shut for the holidays! Moreover, the food was exceptional. The pastas were simply conceived and well priced, elevated to richness not through the addition of unnecessary flourishes but rather by the evident craftsmanship of the noodles and sauces and the quality of the ingredients. We tried the cacio i pepe, the pappardelle with ragu and the tagliatelle with 'nduja, mascarpone and parsley. The cacio i pepe has quite a reputation and every dish was delicious. That said, for us the standout was the tagliatelle due to the well-rounded balance of creaminess, spice and citrus. A final comment on the space: industrial chic, classy enough for a date, without taking itself too seriously for a casual family occasion either (for instance, flatware is presented in a tin cup on the table, and they had a Christmas tree at the time of our visit). Summarily I can't recommend Padella highly enough; excellent service, quality and value. What's not to like about that?! Thanks for a superb meal, we look forward to returning!
J. A.
Great pasta, great for veggies, reasonable priced and good wine. Win!
楊.
perfect food, perfect vibes and perfect price🤩🤩🤩🤩
B. S.
Great fresh pasta. Great service. All at a reasonable price
H. T.
The best pasta at the best price. The pasta is made fresh and every dish is always delicious - I like to go with friends so that we can order multiple plates and eat as many different types as possible. It is that good you just want it all.
T. H.
Fantastic pasta! Definitely recommend. Very popular so get there early to avoid disappointment. Cacio e Pepe pictured.
E. M.
A Padella that you can book… thank goodness! Consistently Delicious. And our waitress was so fun.
E.
Delicious food, quick service, reasonable prices, lovely staff. Always a pleasure.
R. B.
I've been going to Padella for years and it's just amazing every time. The menu at the moment is stunning! The nettle pasta is the best thing I've ever eaten there!
M. K.
Amazing fresh pasta! Never a bad decision.
J. L.
The food is quite well priced here by London standards and the pasta sauces are quite tasty. We were let down by the overcooked pasta and expensive wines on tap.
M. M.
Came here for dinner and was blown away at how delicious the pasta was. My husband and I split the cacio & pepe, the tagliarini with nettles, nutmeg, and egg yolk as well as the beef papardelle. …
H.
Early valentines dinner, staff were attentive, no issues with the quality of service at all. Food was everything I'd hoped for having read about padella for the last few years
R. B.
I've been going to Padella for years and it's just amazing every time. The menu at the moment is stunning! The nettle pasta is the best thing I've ever eaten there!
V. M.
I would give this more of a 3.8 as the food was tasty especially the Stracci and I highly enjoyed the pear spritz! I know the fact that its well made/ good quality Italian food for cheap prices but I can't say it was anything special, it lacked a wow factor for me and the portion sizes were small (which probably warrants the cheaper prices). Especially after a four hour virtual queue time- I expected a little more but overall I thought the food was good and the staff were delightful!
S. A.
Great service and delicious food. Still have Covid precautions in place if you're still unsure to go out of not but well worth the visit of you're around the area.
V. O.
A nice place with good pasta recipes all the day. They also provide chicken milanese and wines and beers, which are really fantastic for all times. They are special for their seasonal dishes and sustainability.
And when it's comes to the hospitality sector, they give the first priority for cleanliness and safety of the costumers and in one sentence, from receiving to the send off they will try to give their best.
N. P.
Beautiful freshly made pasta on the premises. Range of choice in pasta dishes, crab, beef shin, nduja. V cool interior. Great value and staff
H. G.
Amazing experience! We went there for a casual lunch and the service was quick and very polite, we felt really comfortable and welcomed! The food is worth the hype and the portions to price ratio is spot on! The only downfall is that its too busy, especially in the afternoon/evenings even during the week!
G. R.
Simply outstanding Italian food. Small selection of pasta dishes - but there is something for everyone and can't be faulted. The outdoor space is covered and perfect on a balmy day.
C. P.
Great service and great food. This is the second time my friend Marc and I have come. Wasn’t sure what I wanted to eat as I’ve had the beef ragu before and the guy serving us suggested the chef special. The food was delicious, and the guy serving us was lovely which added to the experience, so no complaints.
A. C.
Unreal food, this place really lives up to the hype! Service was amazing and we got our food insanely fast. The salted caramel tart and the sourdough bread are also to die for! 10/10 would eat there every night
T. M.
Loved the service and the food. Pasta is amazing, the only dish that let us down a bit where the anvhovies ( starter). We thought they would be fresh.
A. P.
Used the WalkUp app to queue virtually which worked perfectly. Shared 3 pasta dishes between 2 people. The pici cacio & pepe was standout. I did find the gnocchi had a bit too strong of a potato taste but overall the food was fantastic and service very quick.
M. G.
Been dying to go to Padella for years and finally managed to do so last year. I can truly say, it was WORTH the wait.
I had the cacio pepe, which dare I say might have been the best cacio pepe of my entire life, even better than anything I tried in Italy (blasphemous, I know!)
Cannot speak for the rest of the food there, but would highly recommend the cacio pepe over and over again!
L. T.
Wow! Our service was amazing from Yana. She really helped us figure out what we wanted to eat and was really helpful if anything else was needed. Would 100% recommend to a friend xoxogossipgirl
T. M.
Finally managed to try this place after hearing a lot about it. Here for a quick lunch on weekdays. Online queue system is efficient and well design. Opened kitchen with outside seatings. Seated at the counter, wasn’t the best seating ...
food wise, I had tagliarini and pappardelle and ... for both I haven’t been impressed by the dishes. Pasta are overcooked and sauce is very fatty. I think this type of cuisine is more related to “confort food” which is maybe not what I was expecting.
I do understand why people likes it and in overall the meal wasn’t bad but just wasn’t my expectations. Good to see dishes are well priced
Staff are nice even though busy
A. G.
Great service and the food was incredibly tasty! Pasta portions are a little smaller than what I would have liked so you'll have to order a starter, main and dessert to be full.
J. S.
Best pasta I've ever had! As other people have said, the Cacio e Pepe is absolutely fantastic. Service was fast, food was hot. Atmosphere is nice. Will definitely be going back.
R. O. D.
Always great pastas, done properly and priced properly :-) this time around accidently made the tricolour.... Although an Irish one
E. M.
A Padella that you can book… thank goodness! Consistently Delicious. And our waitress was so fun.
G. S.
Great food, reasonably priced! Very good service at all times.
Also I liked the use of the walk up, so you can join a virtual queue and go for a drink elsewhere while waiting.
The cacio e pepe is amazing
R. R.
Best handmade pasta I've had. Responsive staff and variety of dishes (pasta only). Will come back again
H. V.
Celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary last night,
We tried a lot of dishes from the menu and wow everything was absolutely delicious !! Robert was our waiter and he was very nice and very efficient ! We will definitely be back again , I just wish we could have a tiny bit longer than 1h30 to be able to digest before desert but that's OK . Thank you team Padella
H. G.
Had such a great time here! There's more space than the Borough market Padella but the pasta was just as good! We joined straight by the walk-in app which was super easy. Definitely will be back!
A. K.
Im glad I booked a table as the restaurant was busy! Friendly service and very tasty pasta- will highly recommend!!
K. B.
First time at this restaurant, second time at Padella. Loved it, will be back for sure! Authentic italian tasty food and drinks and great service 👍
C. S.
Lovely dish! Tagliarini with nettles, nutmeg, and egg yolk. Affordable, pleasant service, and tasty. I'll be back next week. 😋
J. W.
Just the softest thinnest pasta and molto flavoursome sauces to go with it. All at super reasonable prices! Va Bene!
O. M.
Great Past and entries. The crab pasta amazing and the fettuccini also great. The Ragú pasta is good. The coppa is amazing! And the Rose wine very very good
J. L.
Generally good food and good service. The fettucine with artichoke was a bit dry and boring though so wouldn't recommend that one. Rest are 👍
D. P.
What a meal, the gnocchi is so light and fluffy. Pro Tip: Save some bread to mop up the sauce from the food it makes it all so much better. Also used the walk in app to get in which was great, no standing in the rain which was a big plus as it was raining pretty hard on saturday.
u.
Loved the Beef Shin Ragù pasta.
4 stars because I can’t book a table for 2 and they don’t have a phone number. I still can’t understand this.
M. C.
Great vibe but most important...amazing Italian food. Awesome variety of antipast and pasti, exquisite flavours
A. S.
Been here a few times and has been a consistently good experience. Obviously recommend the cacio e pepe, as well as any specials they may have on.
However, last time I went, we were told there was no sourdough but we could see it behind the counter - we went late so seems like staff were keeping it to take home rather than serve it.
Overall, would recommend, but I think the Padella in London Bridge is better.
L. S.
We had dinner with kids last Sunday, the place was busy but the staff made an amazing job by accommodating us , the staff was so nice and super helpful, the food was amazing, we tried many pasta dishes and all of them were delicious, it was an amazing dinner out with our kids in London thanks to the amazing staff and food
S. C.
Cheap and great tasting pasta. What's not to love. As a pasta lover, it's heaven on a plate.
N. D.
Great service. Great ambiance. TRANSCENDENT pasta! I aggressively recommend this place. SO SO SO GOOD
M. K.
Amazing fresh pasta! Never a bad decision.
L. S.
Great pasta with great service. Very reasonably priced too! Highly recommend.
R. H.
Really wonderful, service is great even though I've never seen this spot less than half full. The pasta is the obvious draw, but don't miss the cocktails, puddings, and aperitifs to complete the meal.
B. M.
Amazing service very friendly staff who went out of there way to make our family lunch even more enjoyable.
Food exceptional .so fresh tasting Thank you .
C. A.
Just wow!! Amazing staff who is friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely fantastic and not expensive. A must go!
E. A.
Prefer the borough one - last time I came here they didn’t have burrata and had mozzarella on the menu instead so gave it a try and was not great. Still great pasta though
M. L.
Excellent value for money, the cacio e pepe was utterly delicious and perfectly balanced as the salt came through from the pecorino. The two other dishes I felt were under-seasoned and didn't carry the flavour I was expecting.
A. F.
Walked up with no Reservation (the walkup app said there were no spaces) and got a table instantly at the bar. Staff were super polite and helpful - the only thing was my friend has food allergies and asked the waitress to check when she was ordering and we received our food anyway with no word back and had to wait 5 mins to flag her down to ask if she had checked which she had. It would have been better for her to communicate this earlier. The tables were also a bit close together. Otherwise the place was super clean, delicious food and the staff did well to wipe down the tables ans chairs thoroughly after each party.
S. S.
pasta was amazing. last minute plan for a lunch with colleagues and artichoke fettuccine was something I will return for
I. M.
Burrata and fried courgette starters were really good and pasta was great too. Shame about the time limit (we were only given 1.5h for our table) and would've loved to taste dessert but were asked to leave when the time was up.
L.
I had the most amazing time at Padella! The burrata and sourdough was absolutely delicious. The pasta was also perfect. Can't wait to come again!

Great food, but would be nice to have a service on the same level as food. Maybe it was a one time only issue. Also one thing to keep in mind is that this place won't take payment with American Express 😔
Almost every thing we ordered was amazing, really try to have 1-2 main dishes...1 may not be enough.
E.
Delicious food, quick service, reasonable prices, lovely staff. Always a pleasure.
L. H.
Really great venue and location. Very roomy and good decor. Only minus was extremely dirty restrooms.
A. W.
Such good pasta this is our date nite dinner so far the pasta is amazing so good we are ordering another plate
Cheesy goodness
K. G.
Amazing value. Pasta and gnocchi possibly the best I’ve eaten. Light and flavourful and a great price. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Perfect lunch spot
S. v. R.
Absolutely delicious food but portions are too small, especially the mains.
B. S.
Great fresh pasta. Great service. All at a reasonable price
E. F.
Really nice place with exceptional service. Food is great as well.
B. S.
Absolutely unreal, both the food and the service! Came for a dinner date on Saturday night and we will definitely be back. As recommended, we ordered a starter and three plates between the two of us us (our favourite was pumpkin ravioli). Mario and Steph who served our food were extremely helpful, and we also had a good laugh. 100% worth the wait in the virtual queue.
S.
the food is great for the price! the pasta and burrata tasted so fresh and everything was cooked well! Make sure you pre-book as that saves you having to walk in and wait for a table. I would definitely recommend :)
L. B.
Been to Padella so many times and still can't get over the fact that they create beautiful pasta with good quality ingredients for such good value for money. Your £5 is better spent on the mouth melting Gnocchi with nutmeg butter rather than a Pret sandwich at lunch time.
L. V.
As an Italian I loved their cacio e pepe, would definitely come back
R. P.
I like Padella very much. But I don’t know why, Padella shoreditch is closing the queue from the app very early.
K. R.
Amazing food- elevates pasta to something else. Even the basic pepper pasta unbelievable. Great service - the waiter knew his stuff and had true, palpable passion in the food served there. Will come back again and again
D. H.
Quality pasta and friendly service. Be sure to join the (virtual) queue early to avoid a long wait.
L. L.
Very popular pasta place.
Quite difficult to get a table, they suggest to join virtual queue on a day - this does not allow to plan in advance.
Burrata for starter is a must!
Regarding pasta dishes - price varies from 4-11£, not big quantity.
I had pappardelle with 8 hours ragu - highly recommended.
We had burrata + one pasta dish per person. This was fully enough.
A.
Not usually one to eat pasta, but these guys changed my mind. “Low” prices but that’s reflected into the portion size. If plates were bigger than would have given 5*
A. A.
Awesome pasta. Try the beef shin ragu pasta and you won't regret it.
R. M.
food is as good here as it is at London Bridge but at this one you can book
N. P.
Delicious unfussy Italian made so simply. The Tagliatelle with nduja and lemon is a favourite.
D. G.
I had a meal here with friends who raved about it but I wasn't all that impressed. I make similar pasta at home and I'm a beginner. Still very good sauce though!
H. B. (.
Best pasta in london hands down. Their prices are shockingly cheap for the quality of the pasta. So rare to find such a thing in central london. On top of that, quick service and lovely friendly staff. Cant complain even one bit.❤
T. B.
Perfect spot for a dinner date! Went there on Saturday evening and had the best time! Steph and Mario were spot on with recommendations of what to order, both were super friendly and gave the best service. The ragu was delicious!!!
Great atmosphere and good vibes all round! I will definitely head back soon!
楊.
perfect food, perfect vibes and perfect price🤩🤩🤩🤩
E. A.
10/10 experience. Excellent food at really decent prices. Will be back very soon!
C. Y. L.
Simpale and elegant taste. Would highly recommend their cacio e pepe ❤️
T. C.
Really nice heat source from the candle, kept us warm in the cold outside
c. k.
Lived up to the reputation as a delicious Italian restro. If you are a glutton like me, the portion sizes might be a tad lean but they more than make up for it with taste and presentation.
M. P.
Ok so the food here is absolutely delicious and on top of that is great value. I have paid way more in the past for pasta which is no where near as good as this! Will definitely be coming back and trying more dishes
D. E.
Food was delicious and great value for money
k. a. (.
Amazing pasta, great staff and a nice space. I don't like that you can't book ahead but you can queue virtually if your in the vicinity. Try as many dishes as you can if you manage to go.
S. Q.
Delicious pasta. Good service. Strong drink!
N. M.
Creamy pasta and delicious pizza! Totally enjoyed our meal here!
E. O.
pasta was great but had to wait longer than I wanted
H. S.
Great food, quick service, very reasonable price.
M. S.
Best pastas in London. One of my favourite places. Prepare yourself to queue for some time. The ragú pasta and the crab ones are out of this world. The staff is great and the place is really nice.
T. K.
The pasta was wildly inconsistent. Some were cooked to the bite, others were chalk in the middle and then some were cooked to a paste. What is going on?? Flavours were okay, hence why I've given a few stars.
O. F.
Food was absolutely incredible as was the service! From walking in the door to Mario giving us suggestions on what to order and the food itself, such an incredible night! A great way to celebrate my birthday! Will 1000% be back again!
A. M.
Simple Menu, brilliand food with good value 👌🏼
E.
A lovely covid conscious venue with tasty, light pasta dishes and fabulous cocktails. Staff were friendly, welcoming and very competent.

After getting addicted to pasta at Padella, I was delighted to learn that there was going to be a second branch in Shoreditch which finally opened on the 13th of February 2019.
As it was new, decided to try it as soon as possible so went there on a weekday for late lunch.
Padella offers affordable and tasty pastas which changed the scene in London.
They started off at London Bridge next to the Borough market where you will find endless queues of people going there.
Since there is a new branch at Shoreditch, I went and tried it two weeks after opening on a weekday lunch and we were seated within 10 minutes.
The layout of this place is on one floor with seating by the open kitchen, main dining area and another bar table by the other side.
The menu is much the same with the signature gnocci, pici caci e pepi and the parpadelle.
Sparkling water and Still water are complimentary.
As a fan of pastas, ordered the gnocchi, pici and tagliarini.
Started with the gnocchi with nutmeg butter which was a good start.
This has to be my ultimate favourite because each piece of gnocchi is soft and pillowy with a delicious taste of potatoes complimented by the nutmeg.
Next was the Pici cacio and pepe which looks like Udon smothered in delicious black peppery butter sauce.
Each strand is al dente with a firm texture to it.
Last but not least was the Tagliarini with dry chili and garlic.
It was good but I prefer the other one they did with Anchovy butter at Padella, London Bridge.
Still a good option for vegetarians.
Will definitely be back when they change the menu.
Pictures to follow and video on youtube.
L. N.
The seafood pasta dish lacked depth but the freshness of the pasta is unmissable. Make sure you get the gnocchi. And the burrata. Melt. in. your. mouth. Totally coming back.
M. C.
Insanely tasty and authentic pasta and other Italian food and drinks. Nice atmosphere and very good service and staff. If you want a pasta place in shoreditch or london bridge this is your best choice.
v. r.
The food was very tasty but the portions were minuscule. So much so that we had to order the main course TWICE to have a normal portion of pasta
W. W.
The pasta dishes here are just heavenly - highly recommend the pici cacio e pepe!
v. b.
Best value for money resistant in the world. The pastas are fresh , the sauces are subtle and the staff are awesome . The difficult part is getting a seat . Use the walk up app to virtually queue
T. S.
It's like this; it's Padella London Bridge but with more room and less wait.
If you haven't been Padella; it is only the best pasta you've ever had at a damn fine price.
t. l.
The food is absolutely fantastic. One of my favourite go to pasta places in London!
Z. B.
Consistently the best Italian food in London. Best to get early to avoid any queue dramas, staff are always very friendly, and of course the food is to die for.
D. Q.
Excellent food, service and outside table! Went for a team meal last night and we felt like VIPs. Really great night and I highly recommend the burrata. It was the best I ever had.
J. H.
I've heard this place is great but do yourself a favour and don't use the walk-in app. You'll ruin your evening as the timer ticks up instead of down.
Edit: Erica booked us a table and we really enjoyed the food and the experience.
S. C.
This place is personally responsible for the last 10lbs I gained. Drool worthy. Book ahead and order the whole menu.
T. V.
Just opened. 2nd spot in London. Devine pasta. Try the pici. The texture is spot on. I had the urge to lick the sauce of my plate. Top beef shin ragu. Portion are ok so you can have 2 for lunch or dinner. Recommended
T. B.
This place is as good as its reputation. Memorable, fresh, good value food. I wish I had asked where they get their olive oil from, drizzled over burrata it was incredible.
S. L.
Pastas are just as delicious as the Padella in London Bridge. The more spaced out venue is good, but loses some of the chatm and ambience of the smaller, original venue.
m. g.
Love this place, best pasta in shoreditch!!!
T.
Went early, around 6.30 on a Sunday evening. Fabulous, fresh pasta, great sauces, and cheap for London. Highly recommended!
N. H.
Very nice food and no queue when we went compared to the one in Borough Market
T.
We had four pasta dishes and two desserts. Every dish was phenomenal.
K. M.
Amazing. Lovely seating and heaters outside. I reccomend you book. Food is delicious!

Excellent food, perfect pasta's and really nice wine. If you manage to get a table be in for a treat.
L. S.
Another hidden gem 💎 really affordable price point for how good the food was 🍝
J. F.
Outstanding service, food and a lovely vibe
M. S.
Great pasta, good service, avoid the desserts, and toilets have unnecessarily difficult toilet roll dispensers.
D. L.
Food was good, more expensive than anticipated as portions are small (pasta-tapas kind). Very enthusiastic staff.
A. A.
Everyone in our party said that it was the best pasta we have ever had. Highly recommend!
J. C.
Lovely food. Good prices. Done well with the outside eating area with heating
T. S. F.
As good as always! Loved the gnocchi!
R. L.
Very good food drinks and the people who works there make it very enjoyable experience
A. A.
Very average food for extremely good prices and extremely infuriating long wait, really would not recommend. The service especially was below average and staff quite unhelpful.
b. s.
Pappardelle with beef shin ragu...simply delicious, so moreish, especially when washed down with a cold crisp lager. What a find.
R. S.

Don’t go to Borough, that’s for tourists, this is for Londoners. No wait, walk on in, eat pasta and then roll out. Easy peasy.

So worth a visit!
The staff was so nice, they asked us if it was our first visit, and since it was they even took their extra time to tell us where to find toilets etc.
I only tried the Pici Cacio & pepe but wow it was simply marvellous.
Will definitely go back.
I like that you can wait in a virtual line using an app but it’s sad they don’t accept Amex.
B. T.
Great food and always at great prices. Service is noticeable for being efficient. Recommend.
F. A.
(Translated) The restaurant specializes in fresh pasta
Our order was pasta with potato paste and nutmeg flavor, it tastes delicious and soft, the second dish was pumpkin and ricotta ravioli with a taste of pumpkin
And from the appetizers we took aranchini stuffed with pumpkin and cheese and fried it was sweet
The staff is nice and the restaurant needs advance reservations

و من المقبلات اخذنا aranchini محشيه قرع و جبن و مقلية كانت حليوه
