Reviews of Patty&Bun - London Bridge
O.
This place has the basics right to dish out excellent burgers, but unfortunately this was not the case during my visit. Bun, toppings, sauces and meat quality were all spot on, but this all got blindsided by the fact that the patty was seriously undercooked.
The waiter asked us when ordering if we wanted the burger to be served medium, which I said yes to and would have been my personal preference for any non-smashed burger. It's not medium however if it is almost raw and cold in the middle of the patty. I wasn't concerned about the rawness, as the meat clearly tasted of excellent quality, but it's detrimental to the burger. You'd expect a (cheese) burger to be hot, crunchy, melty and messy, but with a cold patty you just get the last part.
I thought about a re-order half way through my burger, but on a tight lunch schedule in a packed restaurant this doesn't seem to have been a realistic option.
A side of fries with beef brisket, gravy and parmesan was glorious and saved me over the meal.
Long story short, if you don't like tartar on your bun, order well done. Will do that the next time around.

Amazing lil place, amazing food, lovely friendly staff. Had the cheeseburger, cooked to how I like and the chips were amazing. My friend had the vegan burger and could see he was more than satisfied with his order too. Will come again and recommend 👍🏻 I got too excited over the food coming and forgot to take a picture of the burger😜
C. C.
Great vegan burgers and nice seats - the place is small so was good that you can book. Wished the ice cream was a little more frozen/solid but the flavour was yummy nevertheless!
L. S.
Really good burger...Great meat (that's what she said!!)
Fantastic service
Only downside...I didn't realise there were knives available until after (would have liked to cut my burger)
Wanted a long time to try Patty and Bun...Will be back soon

My first visit absolutely amazing burger, great service too, I'll be back next month
P. C.
The food here is absolutely delicious!
We ordered the bogie and the bacon burgers and they were very good quality the meat also felt very fresh. Do not go for the boring fries, order the tots, you won’t regret it! They are amazing! You need to try truffle ones if you like truffle!
D. L.
Lovely service and great tasting PROPER burgers.
Lovely staff knew I was travelling so they double bagged and secured the goods for me to be on my way.
Recommended!
K. H.
We ordered the "Hot Chic" chicken burger which was very flavoursome. It was marinated buttermilk fried chicken with coleslaw pickled cucumbers and smoked garlic aioli between sweet brioche buns.
The only drawback I'd say was the chicken was very greasy and they had a minor mistake in our order.
That said, the service was friendly and fast. I'd definitely come back again 🍔
N. B.
For a place to dive into and grab a burger, fries and a beer before heading home I would do it again as soon as I could , everything tasted fresh and the staff were brilliant in service
M. T.
I'm a vegetarian, always look for a good place to tuck into some new ideas. I took the wife here on her birthday! I love the place and the Hot Chic' Chicken Burger was outstanding( overpriced but outstanding) My problem was , paying a high price I wanted quality all round food. The Chips with Rosemary Salt were beautiful, but third of them we're very small bits of chips and also the wife's position. When the Waiter asked how was the food... very good expect the chips.... his response " it's because they were cooked twice" that answer really cheeses me off.

Saturday 5th: Had the Ari gold burger with chicken skin salted fries. Very tasty burger, great fries and mayo. Very laid back friendly staff who showed us the rum bottle containing the rum that was in the punch we had which was fantastic value for a litre of punch! Wish I knew the names of the two guys but you know who you are. Thanks for making us feel welcome and great service.
Table tip: get the booth at the back.
P. C.
Love this place! Must try! One of the best burgers in town! Keep in mind it is pretty small inside so not a lot of tables but lovely decor.
A. M.
I went here today after seeing all the hype on Instagram, and because they do halal burgers. Service is terribly slow, burgers are mediocre at best, and I don’t why they double fry their chips on purpose, it just makes the fries worse. Better off going to a Shake Shack.
S. G.
Fair enough! It was a good place, well located, the burger was more than satisfying, we could feel it was authentic and not industrial. Maybe a bit expensive, but it may be me who's not used to London prices. I recommend
T.
One of the best burger I ever had
Totally no-attitude customer service
Just great !
J. M.
Bad bits! Dry aged beef, tasted OK, buttermilk chicken burger was also dry not sure what all the fuss was about! Wings were meh! The patty and bun sauce is nasty! And the jerk wings tased of cheap jerk sauce 3 stars at a push if I'm honest sorry boss
H. S.
Came in the other Sunday and was absolutely delighted by the food and service. With only a couple of staff working, they handled everything brilliantly and made sure we were well looked after. The food was to die for. The henny wings were a real show stopper, the Gordo’s collab burger was also a standout.
K. H.
FANTASTIC! Lucky me randomly coming across this fab place. Delicious food (highly recommend the vegan smokey burger), friendly service, welcoming & chilled atmosphere and great prices.
N. M.
Delicious spot for vegetarian and vegan burgers (they have meat options too!) at a very reasonable price. I had the mushroom burger and it was divine. Their fries and array of sauces are great too, although I wasn’t a fan of their not-chicken wings.
F. A.
Tried the beef burger and beef brisket fries. Food was about average, nothing too special, not too bad. Didn't like the 12.5% service charge add on the bill.
S. P.
Came here for breakfast today - great service as you enter the place, and the food was pretty quick to arrive, bearing in mind it’s their second day open. The bacon patty was great, just need to work my way through the rest of their menu now! Just bear in mind this is fast food, done really well, and don’t expect any health virtues.
V. S.
I heard they do good veggie burgers and they can also swap meat pattys for a veggie fritter for some meat options which is a great idea. Came around lunch time but it wasn't busy at all so it meant was service was pleasant and the food came out in 15 minutes which was pretty quick. The burgers tasted great and I really liked the sauce inside. My only criticism is though the burgers are horrendously greasy and it gets all over your hands and I would've preferred the food to be served on a plate rather than wrapped up like it was a takeaway order.
H. G.
I’ve been to patty & bun more times than I can count, I would definitely put them in the top 10 burger places in london. It is a bit on the pricey side but the meat quality and service is great. I went recently to try their vegan burger and was pleasantly surprised, it was tasty, and looked the part. I went with a vegan friend who was very pleased. I commend p&b for being inclusive as it can be quite hard to find a decent vegan burger. I don’t know if I would have it again, just because I am a meat eater and it was nice to try. The Smokey Robinson is my usual go to!
M. M.
Still kept up its standard…. Great chicken burger… same nightclub feel! Need to have one of these in each city!!
D. L.
I loved my burger here! I got the Smokey Robinson with bbq sauce instead of ketchup and it was nothing short of fantastic. The photos don’t do it justice as they wrap it “to-go” style do to covid but it was AWESOME.
M.
Fantastic little spot in such a great location, right next to London Bridge Station!
Food was 10/10 burger was on point so flavourful and juicy
Big rating to places that have a signature in house beer had an interesting flavour but so crisp and fresh to wash down a burger
Friendly staff and a cool vibe
R. C.
I ordered the food to take away. The burgers are pricey, but are also delicious. The chicken burgers are my favourite along with their fries. It makes a very big lunch.
The service was good and atmosphere was relaxed.
D. L.
Came across this place while traveling in London. It's hip and cool inside. The space is small but the food is delicious. We got the fried chicken burger with fries.
D. M.
AMAZING buttermilk chicken burger 😍 delicious rosemary fries, also tried the brisket fries - they were a bit heavy. Vanilla milkshake was delicious too! Will 100% go back and eat chicken burgers forever
J. S.
Fantastic fresh burgers equally matched by the service. Highly recommend.
E. K.
Really lovely friendly staff, great music, great atmosphere and genuinely great vegan food. Would 100% go here again
D. G.
Best burger in London….hands down. I’ve tried them all trust me. You can’t go wrong with a P&B
S. E.
lovely burger and fries. cooked perfectly. the side portion of slaw was a bit small for my liking.. highly recommended.
J. S.
Great burgers with plenty of vegetarian options too!!
D. G.
Maybe I was drunk, but that was the best burger I've ever had. Literally melted in my mouth. Absolutely awesome.
K. 1.
Excellent burger - incredibly juicy patty and great sauce! The fries, however, were so over-salted that we couldn’t finish more than half, which was a pity since they looked like yummy hand-cut fries!
W. H.
Absolutely the best burger I have had. Been to some excellent burger places in the past like Wannaburger and Burger Meats Bun but this place is brilliant. Super tasty burger, good size portion of fries and I think pretty good value for money plus I have always found the staff very good. Can't wait until I go again.
A. M.
Best burger in London, in my opinion. Get the gravy too - it's amazing.
The staff were really nice too, very efficient and friendly.
B. B.
have been a couple of years ago super delicious sandwiches
A. t. s. t. w.
Good food and service. Had a vegan burger it was good.
I’d recommend to grill the bun as well otherwise it feels like McDonald’s bun 🤭.
Also the floor downstairs is quite humid.
E. K.
Burger places seem to pop up everywhere these days. That doesn’t mean they are done well. Patty & Bun have been mine go to for just a tasty burger. However their menu has loads of mouth water treats to try!
S. P.
Tasty burgers and friendly staff. Reasonably priced
A. I.
I’m a massive fan of the Pamela burger but for a change, went for the Whoopi Goldburger on a gluten free bun. It was nice and had great flavour but the texture was mushy. The rosemary fries as always were delicious but I’ll not be ordering the Whoopi again if that is how soft it is meant to be.
C.
Have been wanting to come to Patty&Bun for ages after seeing their photos on social media, came to the Patty&Bun at Borough Market just before breakfast stopped at 10:30am.
Loved the energy the staff have as soon as you enter the shop, I wasn’t expecting that, I went for ‘The Filthy Animal’ a double patty of bacon and sausage with a fried egg with ketchup and chutney with brown sauce lathered onto the buns, you can customise that if some ingredients don’t take your fancy, it was a luscious breakfast before work, top draw!
J. W.
The most fantastic and indulgent vegan burger I've had, but the best bit was that they have multiple vegan options! Finally, somewhere that doesnt just give you one vegan option on a menu 🙌 🌱
E. M.
I was impressed by the allergen menu options - pretty much everything on the main menu could be made gluten and dairy free and the manager was very attentive about making sure I got the right food. Prices were reasonable, and the food was tasty. It made such a change to actually be able to eat a burger with a bun and cheese I'm spite of my allergies!! The restaurant was nicely furnished and clean too - only thing to note is that the toilets are downstairs which isn't great for accessibility issues (although I didn't ask about whether there was a disabled toilet)
M. P.
Amazing food. Tastes incredible. Only reason it's not 5-stars is the fact there are no toilets inside which I find quite weird for a dine-in restaurant. I would definitely return, but I'd make sure I used the toilet before I left home
B. D.
Great little place. Originally came for brunch but had mistimed our visit so had burgers.
A. G.
Still the best but please stop reducing the size of the patty! Been a fan for years and want it to keep going!
L. W.
Great tasty juicy burgers served with no frills. Love the Rum Punch cocktail. Only turn off is the 12.5% service charge
D. B.
Really friendly staff, great burgers especially the 'hot chick' chicken burger. Best burger in the London bridge/borough area.
A. W.
Tasty and comfy. Great vibe with decent music. I will totally come back here. I had the chicken burger, it was awesome!
P. A. K. -. K.
oh mother, mother! how delicious it is here! you can not say anything more, because it makes you drool at the thought of these burgers. a unique place with avant-garde decor and an unparalleled friendly atmosphere. service captivates with a smile :)
A.
Went there with a friend of mine after exploring London that day. The burgers and chips were so amazing and we enjoyed our visit there. Definitely worth a try if you’re a fan of burgers.
L. H.
Amazing burgers, great craft beer selection, there own Patty Pils is lovely.
J. M.
Patty & Bun has been my go to Burger spot for the past 8+ years! Never ever fails to disappoint.
L. S.
I definitely enjoyed this burger, the chips were good too. I will say there were many chips but they were all short in length. If you only like long chips then I can't help you my friend.
M. S.
Lovely authentic juicy burgers and great rosemary chips
a. g.
Good place , food and friendly staff, must visit, I tried lamb burger and had rum bunch along with chips
S. K.
Amazing food and service!
L. R.
Fab service, tasty food and great prices!
S. O.
Went for the lunch deal which is real good value. Food was delivered quickly and deliciously. Well cooked patty - juicy and complimented rather than over powered by the additions and sauces.
G. H.
Nice food & drinks. Waitresses was grumpy and service was slow seating was very cramped
I.
Amazing food, even during take-away early. Fairly pricy but standard for central London. Wide variety of burgers, sides & drinks - also a really fast cooking time! Super friendly staff, I would come again and totally recommend for a visit!
W. L.
Visited on a Saturday evening. Quite average burger tbh, the medium beef patty was cold in the middle. A bit let down as I liked the shop at Liverpool st
V.
Great burgers, can be a bit messy but lots of flavour and value
J. W.
Great burgers, had the smokey Robinson and chicken but preferred the smokey Robinson. Cheese balls were very good as well as roasted chicken mayo which I recommend
M. S.
Great atmosphere and delicious burgers. Walked over from honest burger cause their hostess was rude and place was dead.
Z. S.
Patty & Bun is a good burger joint with lovely beef brisket chips. It's close to London Bridge Underground and National rail stations. Which makes it the perfect place to stop and grab a bite before catching your train.
P. E.
Quick reception and service but I remembered the food being better. The fries seemed as if they had been reheated and the burger was good but really salty. Last visit for me 😞
W. W.
Nice burger, burger portion a bit too small is why 4 stars instead of 5, but it's a great burger served anywhere from rare to well done.
M. S.
Looovely venue. Always accomodating, nice lunch deal with great food and central location ❤❤❤
Z. B.
Very reasonable prices, big servings!
Small but quality selection of burgers. I wanted medium rare I got medium rare. I wanted crispy bacon I got crispy bacon. Everything spotless in terms of the food experience.
The interior could use some refurbishing as it is very dull and lacks any character. Especially the toilet
V. B.
One of the best burger & chips I've had in a long time.
S. G.
Disappointing. Quality has dropped off quite a lot, definitely no longer in the best burger conversation.
Jose Jose burger, PFC strips & loaded fries, all pretty poor. Everything tasted too sweet.
Pink lemonade and strawberry & lime soft drinks were nice
Wouldn’t visit again
P. S.
One of the best burgers I have ever had. I admit I judge on taste and not presentation. Yes, it's served in a wrapper with no plate. Yes it's dripping stuff out. But the taste is fantastic. The chips seemed like triple fried and their seasonings are yummy. The menu says about the 12.5% service charge and says you can ask to remove it. I didn't as they were friendly and fast and accurate. Brilliant. Even the kids who can be fussy were saying how much they wanted to come back again. They rated it better than McD which is high praise from them!
T. C.
My favourite burger place at the moment. I've been in this branch a couple of times now (and other branches previously). The burgers are great - just how I like them, rare and juicy. A bit messy to eat but they taste good. The fries could be better - you get too many small crispy end bits but not enough whole thick fries.
D.
This was the best tasting burger I've had in a restaurant. The servers were awesome! Even though they screwed up our order a bit, they were quick to make sure we had a proper experience. Cheers to the servers and cooks for being quite nice! And cheers to their proper burgers and nice side items!!
Y. A.
I popped in for a quick bite but was amazed of the flavor combination. I had the lamb shank redemption burger and it was delicious.
S. W. R.
Amazing burgers at a reasonable price. We found the cheese balls a bit dear at £4.50 for four. I also found it odd that when I asked for salt and pepper, I was told "We don't do pepper.". How strange. Rum punch was good and without ice so no filler. Fun meal.
j. m.
We had a quick lunch here in the week. I had the signature burger and my friend the buttermilk chicken. Mine was very juicy and tender, lots of sauce so make sure you cover your lap! Luckily they had wet wipes as my jeans were splattered with sauce! 👍 Good fries too. I would have liked to have seen a draught beer option (pint) but that's a small comment. Good burger spot.
E. H.
Eat Out to Help Out. We ate out, we helped out. It was superb. Never disappoints.
C. C.
Wanted to try this as I kept seeing this burger chain all over London. Service was friendly and efficient, food was okay but the portion was so small for the price. I had the Jose Burger and Brisket Loaded Fries, the Brisket is so good.
S. M.
Excellent service, very friendly and welcoming. Smokey burger was great too, not too big and a little greasy just as it should be.
m. s.
Lamb and chicken is halal ! Yaaay. Beef is not. Great chips. The burger was not bad but not the greatest. Slightly too oily and salty
A. W.
Great staff, good burgers.
C. M.
The burgers are amazing! The veggie one is the best and I love a proper beef burger! It's very tasty! The customer service is incredible and the variety of beers is good too. Only down side would be value for money, but it's London and it's london Bridge :s
L. C.
The burger was delicous no doubt. But with so many great places to eat in the area I can't help but think £10 for a relatively small burger with no chips is excessive. There's a great burrito place just minutes away where for £7 you get a huge burrito that always fills me up. On top of that you pay service charge here. 5 star for taste. 1 for value for money.
N. c.
Ate as a family of four and ordered vegan chicken nuggets for my kids who both liked them and couldn't tell the difference between these and normal ones. I had the Smokey Robinson burger and my wife the Ari gold cheeseburger both cooked rare and both excellent. For sides we had the PFC and beef brisket nuggets along with fries. All were really nice especially the PFC which had a nice but not overpowering kick to them.
O. S.
Burger was very good although a little greasy. Chips were above average. Meal including a beer and 12.5% service charge came to £19,63. That’s just much too expensive.
Would have given four stars if it wasn’t for the loud annoying music.
A. C.
Absolutely delicious food cooked just like i love it. Had a smokey robinson burger that was amazing. Good vibe too. Thanks
L. V.
First time eating at Patty & Bun and there are unfortunately more reasons not to return than there are to come back regularly.
1) The chips with rosemary salt were cooked well with the right amount of crispness and tasted good.
2) The Ami gold burger however was disappointing. As soon as i unwrapped it from its paper it began dripping grease, liquid cheese and copious amounts of sauce everywhere. This made it very hard to eat as the bun was slipping everywhere and my hands were completely covered, I had a few bites before having to eat the final half of the burger with a knife and fork. The tastes were good and the patty was cooked fairly well, just disappointed with the amount of sauce and grease that floods from these burgers.
3)Drinks options were limited and very expensive, I don’t see how £2.50 for a regular 330ml can of soft drink that is 64p next door in Tesco can be justified. I opted for their white chocolate crunch milkshake, as milkshakes are a must have item from any burger establishment, for £4.50. That is a premium price so I was expecting a premium milkshake, what I received was a very good milkshake that tasted good was clearly made using good ingredients, It was served with a cardboard straw not a plastic one which deserves recognition as I avoid useless plastic where I can.
All in all it was an experience that left me slightly dissatisfied and feeling I had payed too much. The staff were friendly. Atmosphere was slightly drowned out by the music playing too loudly.
Sadly I won’t be returning to Patty&Bun and I will not be recommending it to friends or family either.
M.
Amazing food as always, the staff are always pleasant and willing to help. The burgers are unique and the menu varies over time so you aren't stuck with having the same thing every time. Be warned though it's a bit messy sometimes!
J. F.
I popped in for a takeaway burger early evening. Service was really friendly and prompt (despite the pace being pretty busy). Burger came quickly. Only gripe would be that there was only one toilet in service.
The seemed to be a big area downstairs which (if they take reservations) would be a good space for groups.
E. N.
The monthly special burger (Aug 2020) was oozing with sauce! Perfect fries. Great wings. Great staff.
They also have their own lager.
B. S.
They have the best lamb burger in a very soft bun i tasted so far i London, pricy a little but worth it
A. H.
Was quite fortunate to be able to walk in and grab my burger without a wait as these guys do have one of the best burgers in London. The rosemary covered fries are a delight. Good service you pick one up at the end of a glum day. I'll be back for more.
F. L.
Great burgers, and the fried were fantastic too. This one is rather small, but worth it if there's a wait. Some good local craft beer available as well. If you're a burger aficionado, this place will hit the spot.
N. J.
Amazing food, service a bit slow but highly recommend!
D. G.
Very good burger and fries, convenient location, very friendly staff, clean!
M. G.
Really good! Waiters were really welcoming and the food was really good, reccomended
D. B.
The burgers are simply amazing.
J. S.
Chips were very good tho perhaps slightly too salty. Milkshake was quite disappointing however compared to the thicker and more luxurious offerings of similar chains. However, the burger was delicious and that is the main draw.
H. T.
The authentic cheese burger is diffinetely worth a try.
Their rose mary flavored chips are also a good fit with the burger. It is not as heavy as the normal fried chips.
They serve 6£ burgers at lunch time every monday to wednesday. The burger choices change each day but it is generally a discount equaling to approx. -30% of normal price.
N. K.
I’ve travelled across London far and wide in search for the Holly grail of burgers. Patty & Bun hands down has consistently been the closest I’ve been to getting my hands on the golden chalice, great quality produce, the patty is a real stand out here. Borough Market’s edition has two floors, both slightly cramped but the food makes up for it. Service was fantastic, very friendly staff. Lots of local watering holes to flush the meaty goodness down with a pint of their finest.
R. T.
Okay but pricy! A donation seems to be automatically applied but the waiter didn't say anything.
E. M.
Had to check this out after a friend raved on about it said it was better than shakeshack. If I’m honest it didn’t compare and I didn’t see what the big deal was. I had the ‘smokey robinson’ burger which on sight looked amazing with the cheese dripping but after tasting it I found it mediocre nothing special..the chicken wings were terrible. Wouldn’t go back but Nice venue & location though :)
s. f.
Was OK. Was a really strange smell which smelt like damp in the restaurant. The server was miserable and provided a poor service but the food was good.
C.
Great place to eat!
L. J. S.
Great burgers! I loved that they had gluten-free options as well.
N.
In Patty & Bun you walk into the store and you except a pretty usual Burger Take-Away Store. But this is really a secret tip if you get downstairs and eat there. Fair prices for really good Burgers, that stay in your mind. As a group (4 ppl.) we all were really impressed.
The style of the restaurant is kept retro-modern and was really enjoyable for us.
They messed up our order a bit, but we jad no problem with that later on.
G. M.
Did a bad review before, i have since gone back and Patty & Bun has gone up in my estimations. However the chicken burger was still very oily. i would recommend any other burger. The wings are great and also the chips
C. L.
Love the food there! Been many times before lockdown and we ordered a few times as well on deliveroo. Today is now the 2nd time we have missing items (burger), we tried to call the restaurant but no one ever answer. Such a shame as we love it but now wonder if we will get it delivered again..
K. R.
Decent burger I also had the fries with pulled beef which were very nice but I think the portion was a bit small
J. S.
No idea why it's so highly rated. Came highly recommended from friends but food was nothing special and was poorly presented.
F. M.
Came here by chance and had the best experience. Delicious, fresh burgers and one of the best margeritas I’ve had in a while. Service was on point, prices fair. Can fully recommend and will be back! Keep it up guys :)
C.
The mushroom burger is awesome. Get the fries with the rosemary salt. Lovely staff. Handy if you're in the London Bridge area and need a bite!
D. A.
Perfect burger, perfect service, perfect atmosphere: perfect everything. P&B never lets me down, no matter what chain I go to!
T. L.
We had the Vegan burgers on rotation and were delicious! Managed to get in early before the rush, expect to queue later in the evening, it's worth it though! 😍
K. A.
Best burger I've had in a while. The place is small and usually busy so don't expect seating. The service is great too
A. H.
Food was good abit pricey.
J. B.
Such a good spot. Great service, wicked vibes. Ari Gold cheeseburger never disappoints, and the new PFC is delicious. The Passionfruit Caipirinha is SO good. Fave burger place in London.
O. A.
Best burger joint in town and the first place who serves lamb burgers
Lamb Redemption is from a different world
J. D.
Service let this place down a bit but we were late going tbf (10). Good burgers and nice sides. Great music on as well.
S. B.
Tasty and meaty burgers. Quite messy though so best to eat in their wrappers. Can't reserve tables so your group has to be all present to get a table.
C. R.
Fantastic food and equally fantastic service! Great vegan options too! 🌱
D. L.
Had a burger delivered...fantastic
K. P.
Best burgers in London, FACT! Whether you want Beef, Chicken or Veg, look no further
A. C. N.
The best lamb burger I've had. And lovely staff, fast service. I would definitely come again.
