Reviews of Patty&Bun - Northcote Road

Pros
~ great ambiance
- Friendly Staff
Other
~ A welcome addition to Northcote, however i felt my meal lacked a certain something. I feel with the kitchen handling deliveroo, pick-ups and the restaurant orders there is something that gets lost
~ Staff were super helpful but with the sign of the times they needed at least another person to manage the flow
- Overall for £30 (drink/chips/burger) i think some things could do with tweaking

Nice outdoor terrace and good service but food is just average with disproportionate prices. 2 kids menu (8.5$), a burger and a fries + drink set me to 45$ bill (incl service and road tax). An expensive lunch when you want to take the kids out. Their burger had nothing special, I can get a happy meal down the road and would be pretty much the same. I had the lamb one (11$ no fries), taste ok a bit soggy but didn't blow my mind. And 3.95$ for a portion of fries is far too expensive and not sure it was fresh fries. I went to the first P&B 10 years ago on James St and loved it but since then all those burger chains (dirty bones, Hache, Honnest...) are just average and all taste the same, nothing differentiate one to another really. The best high St burger chain with affordable and freshest product is still 5 guys.

So sad cos used to love the one in Marylebone. Food looks amazing but the meat is off the mark in terms of quality- burger meat had weird smell/after taste, chicken burger dried out and looked like it’d been sitting out for a while. Kids chicken nuggets looked like they were from-a-bag, frozen job
