Reviews of PAUL Wimbledon
M.
Excellent Almond Croissant, ok Coffee. Very busy little branch, good that there is extra seating downstairs, as outside seems always full.
A. C.
Love this patisserie. Lovely cakes and sandwiches. You can sit outside. Sundays tend to be quite busy but weekdays are great.
s. e.
Went to Wimbledon branch on saturday.
Really busy when I entered ,however to my surprise the girls there were very efficient
Got acknowledged as soon as I entered ,and made to feel really welcomed
Thank you for the cake recommendation Alina!
My girlfriend loved it !
J. W.
Limited seating at street level, although there are tables outside but more relaxed seating in the basement. Can get crowded. Efficient and patient serving staff. Nice baguettee and pastries. We bought some pastries to take away and true to the French way of packaging things, they had a robust boxing technique and all our purchases were intact when we got home. Not cheap
S. R.
Amazing! Quality food and service. Good prices. Hazelnut hot chocolate is to die for! The Raspberry Crossaint was delicous but I have not been able to find it in store since having it. I dream of PAUL constantly and would recommend to anyone who wants a nice coffee, pastry and somewhere to sit and relax.
S. C.
Best mocha I’ve ever had…great sandwich as well.
K. B.
Nice food for a treat. They have meal deals for lunch and deliver via Uber Eats.
R. V.
I do like Paul a lot and visiting different shops around London, UK, Belgium and France. They do amazing croissants and cakes, the coffee also tastes good and the hot chocolate is one of the best compared to shops of similar caliber. I would give a 5 star rating but the service, unwelcoming staff, rude verbal and non verbal language deserves only 1 star. The sum of the two gives 3. Recommend Paul but not the staff in this store.
S. M.
Great service today at Paul in the Village in Wimbledon. There was queue outside but because the staff would not let more than 3 in. (I guess because of the space available?) Anyway waiting was worth it as the hot chocolate is the best I have tried from coffee shops! Will definitely be back
A. K.
I would like to praise the team at your Wimbledon branch.I have been now your regular customer for over a year and I always found a very welcoming team ready to suggest a new treat on every visit (not very good for my waist line!!). Other branches albeit correct do not have the same energy. Staff are polite and the products (specially the mini beignets!) Are just delicious! Keep it going!
F. T. C.
The lunch pack is an amazing experience, I've had it twice now and I think I'll continue to do so. The tartes they sell are absolutely divine, I normally end up spoiling myself and ordering an extra one...
M. A.
I am a regular customer enjoying my coffees with the friendly team of Wimbledon. All of them are all the time smiling, ready to speak few minutes with customers. I am really proud of them how they are doing the maximum they can with the covid rules, it's a busy shop but they respect everything they need.
But 3days ago, I got shocked (again) about how people are speaking to them. One of the white coat lady went to speak to a man with a babychair on my side. Unfortunately her nightmare was starting, she started to be the worth words of birds.
I am just so happy to see them everyday, and all the time with a smile when people are speaking to them like this.
Bravo!
M. A.
I have ordered two cakes (with personalisation on a marble slab) with Paul's Wimbledon now and they have been brilliant both times. I highly recommend the new carrot cake if you are someone who likes more cake substance than cream - it's delicious. The service in store is excellent and it's so easy to order on the phone/in store. Thank you!
e. h.
I've started coming to your branch about two weeks ago after a friend recommended me your salmon roll, which I was sad to hear was leaving. After a few visits I got addicted to your coffee. The flat white comes out creamy and velvety as it should be. I've been coming in almost every day and I have to say that you guys are the kindest, most helpful people I've seen in retail business. You are chipper and funny but you are confident and professional too! You were efficient and sweet throughout the day-long rush on this Saturday and still kept your smiles on at closing when I you introduced me to your creme brulee hot chocolate. Bravo, Wimbledon!
A. B.
Best chocolate macaroons in london. Fresh and chocolaty. The chocolate cake is also worth a try.
For all the sweet tooth, this place is a must go
T. G.
I had visited the store as I was in the area , the girl called Aline( ? ) made my day
Not only she served the best coffee I had so far , but made my day -in general as she saw me I was a bit”under the weather “ ,so honesty, thank you !
Cheeky sold me the new sandwich too but I don’t regret it ,it was fabulously tasty ! Thank you Paul
Great service 🙂👏🏻
D. B. (.
Nice place for take away lunches pastries and coffee. Crusty French style bread and fillings. Perfect for a picnic while walking on the Common.
C. R.
Delicious cakes and tarts. Chocolate cake slice and chocolate tart are both great. Baguettes are quite tasty too. They could do with more options for non-meat eaters though.
L. P.
Always a treat to visit on a weekend despite the line outside... Really great service from one particular staff member who more often than not works the barista service – a woman with dark hair, french – she is hands down the best staff member there!!
O. V.
One of the best croissants I have ever eaten....baked fresh daily. We went for breakfast at 7 am....pastries fresh and still warm.
Arthur, polish server, was the best...very friendly and accomodating....only downfall, the prices.
Located in posh Wimbledon Villages so those prices were expected but they had A breakfast special with coffee, any size, and pastry for less than 5 pounds
E. M. T.
Best Hot Chocolate in the Village! (Shame no cream available this time) The people were nice and joking with each other so that made a nice atmosphere.
D. T.
Good pastries, sandwiches, and decent coffee. There are a few tables outside which are a nice spot to sit in fine weather. Inside is quite cramped so it can sometimes be tricky to walk with your drink back outside. Staff are quite efficient and friendly every time I have been.
C. E.
My go to coffee place in the village. Great pastries and bread too! Always had good experiences here, staff are polite and helpful. It is quite narrow inside so it can feel crowded very quickly.
k.
Unfair review really as Paul are such a good bakery and have authentic French style hot chocolate, thick and warming. I love the place, very inviting but would be god to have less staff turnover as different face everytime I go there which sort of doesn't suit the overall style and ambition.
M. Z.
Just delicious! From a warming hot chocolate to scrumptious pastries and a savoy lunch menu. Always a happy treat!
T. W.
The more I explore the menu here, the more I fall in love with Paul. Lighter-than-air croissants, melt-in-your-mouth macarons and refreshing coffee are just a few reasons to go here.
M. L.
Hot chocolate 🍫
All time favourite here.
A. K.
Lovely service from the girls as always! A big smile and a good coffee that’s all you need for a Good Day ! Thank you Paul !
M. C.
Hot chocolate lovers should all get a cuppa from PAUL!
G. L.
Been to Paul's before and had a lovely reunion with my wife. The manager who I got taking to about her 'hand art' was very pleasant and made our visit special. And the almond crossaints will keep me returning to Paul's. Also their coffee is good.
Don't change the filling for the crossaints !!
Always visit here when in wimbledon.
H. N.
Very good good food and drinks, but a bit pricey. Limited seating upstairs, but if you get a seat next to the window or outside during nice weather it's lovely.
S. B.
Wimbledon is lucky to have a Paul's. A much cherished food outlet Their sandwich baguettes are great.
N. Y.
Nice place to go for a coffee and have a slice of cake. Cakes and pastries are always fresh and staff are super helpful.
E. B.
The best bread, cakes and coffee in Wimbledon village... because of COVID spaces are limited but I would whole heartily recommend trying here.
A. B.
Good service despite Coronavirus measures... And an excellent coffee, topped off with the best Tarte aux pommes I've had.
J. K.
Popped in for nice breakfast tea and croissant along with a good book to read. Everything lovely but such a tiny range of usual fare for sale. Please can you magically expand like the Notting hill branch with full range cos Wimbledon is nearer to me. Thank you. ********Fairydust**********
J. N.
Had a lovely pot of Earl Grey, met up with an old friend for a catch up. Not rushed by staff, sat chatting. Nice place and friendly staff.
C. B.
I will highly recommend it, very polite staff, tasty hot drinks, also their bread is out of this world, and actually it's reasonable
J. H.
Paul's in Wimbledon Village is my local coffee shop when working at the Cancer Research shop. If you work locally they give you 10 percent off and as I always take my own mug in, that saves a further 50p, making a medium Americano a bargain at £1.52. They have a delicious array of baguettes, cheese toasties and cakes and pasteries. I love it to while away my lunch break where I often bump into friends. Try it and see!
S. W.
friendly efficient staff ; excellent almond croissants and seeded/granary bread
A. S.
Christmas Creme Brulee Hot Chocolate was amazing and really rich. Staff were lovely.
P. P.
This is a small branch of the Paul chain however is clean and the staff are always available and you can tell that they have pride in their store in the midst of Wimbledon Village.
S. C. A.
Great cakes, pastries and breads. Disappointed they spelled the name wrong on a custom ordered cake and other than a sorry there was no offer to correct it. So best to order in person if you want a personalised message.
s. w.
The best coffee I have had in ages, lovely croissant, a little pricey compared to competitors but worth it, very positive
f. c.
Love the hoy chocolate
R. T.
Well sited in the heart of Wimbledon village, providing a good range of French-styled bread and delicious patisseries. Inspired choice of baguettes also come filled with a selection of fresh and tasty ingredients.
Y. K.
Nice patisserie choices and spiced chai latte is one of the best in the village. Down stairs sitting is cosy and vintagey. Feels like you are taking cover in a shelter during cold war years
S.
Great service and nice bread.
N. S.
a good local French cafe ...salad size is decreased so not enough for lunch otherwise good staff mostly with good quality food.
T. P.
The place is nice and quiet. Staff is always very friendly and kind. Beast of all are pastries. The coffee could be much better.
T. H.
Lovely store, where the food and coffee quality is always outstanding. Sometimes feels quite cramped, but in this case that adds a bit of charm, rather than detracting from the appeal.
S. P.
Nice coffee and fresh croissant !! Love it .
B. M.
Delicious products, excellent Covid measures , a bit expensive but given the quality and the location it is understandable
S. F. T. G.
Nice coffee and pastries but too much staff doing nothing behind the counter ( literally standing ) when instead they can go around clearing tables and refilling the water jugs on the stations for istance since the service in included in the bill
C. W.
It's a "Paul " it is the best place for pastries that are consistently good quality and the service is always first class
It was my first visit to the Wimbledon" Paul"and i was not disappointed
D. H.
Delicious and quality food items. I like the place.
M. M.
It was very good, but the price was a bit high, and when I sat down in the basement I couldn't get any signal. They have good free wifi though!
B. V.
Pastries in this PAUL is better than some of the PAUL in town. Pastries are always good and fresh but not cheap. Service is also better than most PAUL and less chaotic.
A. A.
Ordered via uber. The quiche was warm. The other sweet things were good. The price was good. Will order again.
P. C.
Absolute love for cakes.
My go to for cakes for any special occasion!!
Chocolate truffle is my favourite!!
F. S.
Lovely spot for a coffee and a pastry, especially in a sunny day. Always fresh and pleasant.
M. P.
Nice place to have coffee and som tasty cakes.
J. l. F.
Very nice food. Lovely atmosphere. Just a bit cramped spacewise. Would recommend
B. S.

Great place, AMAZING staff! Delicious food and coffee
R. G.
It's ok during the week, but at weekends the limited seating space becomes problematic - unless you enjoy an eyeful of the loo or the kitchens.
M. A.
Small and quaint, lovely almond croissants! More seating downstairs.
H. T.
Beautiful french baguettes and pastries. Makes me feel like I'm back in France.
D. P.

T. M.
Not remarkable. Service was ok.
D. J.
I don't mind that they are a chain and french, and have a stupid name. I don't like the process of ordering food or paying for it. Or the style of the place. I like the quality of the bread and stuff, so I have admit a grudging appreciation of their existence. And the staff are sometimes nice.
F. J.
Just like any other kind of Paul.
M. I.
This place has the best macarons I have ever tried. Amazing decor, very clean and super friendly staff.
Glad to see more of them opening in London. But the one here is a little special to me.
